Maddie has been so awesome to work with for the three tattoos I’ve gotten with her. I had one I’d been dreaming of for years and she absolutely killed it - working on the drawing until I was happy with it AND it was going to age well. It’s exactly what I wanted! If you choose to base this place on any review, make it this one. I asked for a type of walk in, which i never do and i know it can be annoying for artists. This place made accommodations and got me in very quick under the circumstances i was in. for a very long time i hated tattoo shops because it seemed like they were in it for the money, but this place really changed my perspective. they were very clean and neat, very personable. Jordan did my tattoo, he was respectful and listened to every detail, not to mention he free handed it which was really impressive. I have 8 tattoos, 7 done by a different shop, and from now on I will stick with Artistic Skin Design. Yes, their tattoos are AMAZING! but the reason i will come back over and over is because i was treated with respect and kindness. Not to mention the new intern is such a fun, loving girl who i really connection with!!! unfortunately, part of my tattoo was on the elbow and i was in really bad pain, and Jordan was so thoughtful and kind about it. The intern (i should’ve gotten her name!) held my hand and really treated me like a friend. great work yall.

I had a fantastic experience at this tattoo shop, and I want to give a big shoutout to Brent for his exceptional customer service. I recently got my second ear piercing done here, and I was pleasantly surprised by how fast and virtually painless the process was.Brent was not only professional but also very friendly and reassuring throughout the procedure. He made sure I was comfortable and informed about every step, which made me feel at ease. The second hole in my ear turned out perfectly, and the overall experience was great.I highly recommend this shop, and specifically, Brent, for anyone looking to get a piercing or tattoo. I love this place for tattoos and piercings! i recently got my first tattoo here - done by maddie⭐️she was amazing and i hope to have my next one done by her, too.

I love this place. I consider myself to be a frequent visitor. I had my ears stretched from a 2g to a 00g, I had my septum, inverted labret, vertical hood and currently working on a forearm sleeve. When you go to a place that cares about their end results, you get good results. When they mark you for piercings and print you for tattoos, just remind your artist that you trust them and that is why you are there. There is one other shop down Keystone that I know of, Im sure there are plenty more, but this place seems to be very proud of their work, informative, knowledgeable and friendly. For me, prices do not matter, I want quality, safety, cleanliness, pride, good effort, respect and good work...that is what you get while here. They were even patient with my while I selected my jewelry and my baby destroyed their waiting room. (Dad had her while I was being worked on!)Thanks guys! Wasnt told it was cash only until I asked. After the piercing and had to take out cash. Better signage would be nice. He was impatient and not welcoming and just talked about how hes quitting soon. Didnt talk through any of the process, didnt provide or even offer to sell cleaning solution. He was very slow piercing my nose, and had to cram the jewelry in making it extra irritated. Having issues with the length, and they told me they wouldnt switch it out. Called a different location and they said theyd swap it out no problem, just some irritation. They also advised me that this type of jewelry isnt used anymore. Ive gotten 3 nostril piercings previously, and none have been this bad.Go somewhere else or get a receipt.

The guys here were awesome! There were 3 of us girls who all wanted last minute tattoos pretty late at night. They were extremely understanding and worked with us every step of the way, and even gave us some late night donuts that were delicious. The environment and hospitality of the people here was impeccable!! I 100% suggest you to use this place of business!

James was so sweet and took two of us for walk ins at 8:30pm. He was extremely professional and kind. Would definitely come back to this studio. Pricing was very reasonable!

Brenton did an amazing job piercing my nipples. He was fast and professional. He was great at answering all my questions. Really personable piercer! I would recommend him to anyone. I previously had my nipples pierced over a year ago at another shop in Cincinnati but one of the piercings was put in at a bad angle. This is a great shop!

I got my cartilage pierced at this location and they were very nice and fast, explained everything as they did it, took great care of me, and was an overall great experience! With past piercings I’ve had bleeding which has made me feel faint, but here they used the right sized needle for the jewelry so there was no bleeding or anything, and it hasn’t really hurt at all so far in the healing process either! Highly recommend!

Brent is awesome!! Give him a raise lol!!I came in to look at nose rings. One of the only local places that didn’t require me to have an appointment. He was super knowledgeable & helped me put the nose ring in & stretch it to an 18 gauge which he informed me is now more common than a 20 gauge. He was as gentle as possible, super kind, & professional. The price was also super fair. Will definitely return for any other body jewelry I may need.

Delaney did my piercing and she was so cool, professional, and made me feel comfortable through the whole appointment. A few weeks after my piercing the jewelry fell out (because I’m dumb and unscrewed it) and she was quick to offer help to put it back in, and was just the best! 10/10 would recommend

I have wanted to get my nose pierced for 25 years now and they finally okayed it at work! I called around and this was the only shop that could get me in sooner than a week. Brent did my piercing and was quick, clean, and friendly. He was super professional and did a great job! Thanks for a fantastic experience!

The worst experience I’ve ever had with a piercing shop. “Disappointed” doesn’t cut it.I had made an appointment for an industrial bar piercing in September for my birthday. However, when I arrived for my appointment the piercer informed me that due to COVID, they were out of the industrial bar jewelry and offered me a helix piercing instead. I agreed and we went along with the appointment as usual. I noticed him looking all over the shop for something before our piercing, but didn’t think much of it until months later. I paid for the jewelry, piercing, and went on my way.I didn’t pay much attention to my ear because I have a tendency to mess with things on my face, so I tried to ignore the wound while it healed. 6mo went by and I went to change out the jewelry, only to realize the piercer had given me a 20g ring instead of the standard 16g (for context, there is absolutely no jewelry made for a helix in this size, I was given a piercing that needed either to be painful stretched or redone completely. Difference shown in the photo). I got a super bloody ear from trying to use the wrong size in the hole, and had gotten some jewelry for my birthday that was unusable.My thinking is that the piercer realized after he had offered me the helix that they didn’t have the proper jewelry, and he used jewelry for a regular earring instead. He seemed nice, but part of my frustration is that I literally couldn’t afford both a birthday cake and a piercing this year, and had to pay for the jewelry and a piercing, waited 6mon for it to heal, and ended up wasting all that time and money. I just wanted the shop to make it right and re-pierce my ear, but they’ve completely blown me off.I’ve repeatedly called the shop and am always told to call back because they can’t help me. Once when I called I asked for the email address for the shop owner, emailed them, and heard nothing back. I then reached out on social media and they ignored me until I sent repeated messages, then was told to email the shop owner and was given an entirely different email. I’ve emailed that address as well and haven’t heard anything back for weeks. I’ve been pursuing them to simply acknowledge the mistake and work with me a bit, but at this point I feel so disrespected and blown off I wouldn’t want to work with them anymore anyway. This birthday was extremely hard and the ways I decided to try to celebrate were important to me, but this shop couldn’t make it more clear they don’t actually care about their clients. I’m waiting for the wound to heal and plan to get it pierced, yet again, elsewhere.

Jordan gave me my Ace of Hearts tattoo with the heart as the organ as opposed to the geometric shape. He worked quickly and efficiently. He did a great job on the intricate details of my heart & gradient of my A. He didn’t press too deep, it was virtually painless! I paid much less than I expected for the detail & size of what I got. I left so satisfied and excited about my tattoo! The ONLY downside if I had to say something was I waited about an hour after paperwork for the sizing of the tattoo for the stencil. But the studio was clean & the wait really wasn’t an issue. Definitely worth the wait.

Professional, clean environment with personable artists who do great work. Brian spent spent ample time modifying/perfecting the base design I brought in, and was thorough with the tattoo process. I came as a walk-in requesting a tat that would take at least 2 hours, and they didnt bat an eye or try to make me schedule an appointment. Much love and respect!

I can only speak for Jeffs work, but I had a really good experience here. Jeff is a cool dude, great artist, good customer service, and amazing prices. My tattoo healed quickly, and he gave me tons of instructions and info before I left. I would recommend him 100%!

Was referred to them from a friend and I was a little hesitant at first cause I didnt want to drive up to keystone ave. My artist was Jeff and I have to say he was great I will recommend him to anyone that is looking to get a tattoo done. The prices are great and the details on the tattoo is great. I look forward to scheduling another session with him.

MADDIE IS OUTSTANDING!!!! About a year ago, i got a piece done by another artist and i met maddie, she was an apprentice at the shop. I got a back piece done today, it was a set of fairy wings. i am nothing short of amazed. the line work is outstanding and although wings are meant to be “sisters not twins” i don’t see a single flaw between the two. She is single handedly the most understanding and supportive artist i’ve ever visited and i have absolutely zero complaints. the entire time she was checking on me, offering me water and breaks, and we had such great conversation. i HIGHLY recommend her to literally anyone. do not let the title “apprentice” steer you away, i can’t wait to visit this girl in her own shop one day.

I got my nose pierced by Brent and it was an effortless experience. He was very professional and despite it not being my first nose piercing, he still walked me through each step and was very communicative. Id recommend him to anyone, but especially people getting their first piercing.

Very cool place Brent was our piercer very thorough with his work on key very sanitary HIGHLY recommend. As far as art i seen a a guy pulling clean lines person seemed very comfortable didnt catch his name but i would go for my own if i couldnt accomplish it myself. Again HIGHLY recommended.

I got my septum pierced my Danielle recently. Quick and easy. Very sanitary. She made my feel very comfortable and definitely knew what she was doing. Very clear and concise with her explanations and patient in answering my questions. Good prices and beautiful jewelery!

My neck tattoo was blown out and poorly done by Carlos Soto. I’ve spent over $1200 here on various tattoos and piercings, so I was very disappointed when I contacted my artist about a cover-up and he stopped responding. Save your skin and make an appointment with a more professional studio like Metamorphosis.

Got my septum pierced here. The piercer was extremely nice and clean and explained everything as he went. Just returned today for help replacing the ball in a new labret piercing and they were, again, extremely helpful and nice. Highly recommend.

If I could I give them 0 stars. My aunt and uncle called to see when they took their last client and they said to be there in 15-20 minutes and when we arrived in that time I asked if they could take me and they said they were booked for the night. So when someone calls and asks you when your taking your last client don’t tell them a time and when they get there tell them their booked for the night, because that’s a waste of gas and money . I definitely will not be back !!

Ive gone to this location for piercings and tatoos and I always have a good experience. The establishment is clean and theres not all that pomp and circumstance like other places. The artists are professional and BRIAN is my go to guy for tatoos. I dont think Ill ever go to anyone different.

Got a cartilage piercing......the guy did such an amazing job and its healing so well. It looked a little lonely so i went back about 2 days later and got another on the same ear.......im in NO pain and theyre fabulous. I definitely reccomend this place. We were out of town in need of a retainer solution for my daughters nose stud as she was playing soccer and they complained. The guy was so helpful. We couldnt get the stud out and he did with no problems. I had a retainer but he explained the sizes would make us have to stretch her piercing out. So we replaced with a smaller stud. Thanks for helping us out!!

Love being talked down to because I’m a girl. I came in to get jewelry and the guy was snippy with me because he was dealing with someone else. I was just looking in the case and he said “I’ll be with you in a minute have a seat.”So I can’t even look? Cool.Then he started asking me questions about my jewelry and scoffing when I didn’t know how it was pierced, gauge etc. it’s called customer service meet me where I’m at. Don’t be rude to me because I don’t know—I wasn’t being rude to you until you started being sexist. So yeah I walked out because I’m not giving you my money for being rude. Then to top it off he said “Wow you really don’t know anything about your jewelry do you?”I went to Artistic because of the service. I normally go to the South location but I moved so this one is closer.Idk what the guys name is but he was your basic white, bearded, nose piercings, “I work in a tattoo shop” guy. Right around 12pm on 5/7/2019. I hope you read this.

Me and a few of my family members were inquiring about nose piercings. There was a Bad vibe from the time we walked into the business. They did not make me or the 5 people I was with feel welcomed. We were all of color except for one whom agreed that she felt we were not accepted at this shop as well. Might as well put no colors allowed on front door.

I’m a potential customer who avidly reads reviews before giving anyone my business. What I find interesting here is that vast majority of reviews from ppl of color are that their experience was less than acceptable, uncomfortable and just overall a bad experience. “The owner” has responded to every GOOD review but interestingly enough the bad ones from of color went ignored? You just lost a.....no actually 3 potential customers. Your lack of response to these very VALID concerns speak VOLUMNS!!!!!

I wasnt happy about the fact that while talking to him he wanted to take a break to go out to smoke and then comeback to finish talking really?? Then when I went in to get my tattoo he did the same thing.... ( not good customer service) also the fact myTattoos got infected this isnt my first one but both got infected i followed the instructions excalty on what he said..... since this wasnt my first tattoo shouldnt have gotten infected... but he didnt do my first tattoo someone else did but they live in Colorado and I moved to Indy..I text and also called and went in to show him.... said no and it just needed cover up and was too dry etc he didnt seem to care etc and then went to a doc said it was very infected so I told him and he Responded back saying ok.. yes I know there is a risk etc but horrible response back guess you only care about the money....

I have went to this location for a tattoo and I must say though I don’t like the tattoo and never went back to get it filled in and the price quoted to fill in once I went back was higher than originally quoted for the tattoo altogether they were much friendlier than other Artistic tattoo places I have been. Overall though, I think I probably won’t be finishing my work here because I don’t like the outline.

I came here to get a cover up on my wrist and ended up getting charged $200 for a black band around my wrist. If that wasnt bad enough to the lines are sloppy and uneven, and he didnt even bother to make sure it was shaded evenly, so now it has a bunch of gray splotches.(Done by David)
