Big Time Tattoos and Piercings

I cant recommend this place enough! Bill was absolutely amazing and had some of the best customer service, from the initial conversations to set up the appt and finalizing a design, to the final application and the tattoo itself. Everything was so easy. The shop was super nice; clean, inviting, and just super cool! I always appreciate someone who is willing to engage in conversation, and brownie points for putting up with any shenanigans I might bring with me. One solid experience!

My friends and I had a GREAT experience with Mandie at Big Time Tattoo and Piercing! She was kind and thorough in her explanations of the pricing process and after care. She knew was she doing and answered all of our questions. The shop was clean and smelled good. I would return for sure!

I wish I was able to give a good review but I was never able to actually go there. The first time I tried to go to get my 3rd lobes done, the girl told me their piercer was in on Wed, Fri and Sat, I called on Tuesday went on Wed, piercer wasnt there. I got frustrated and just went to the mall and got it done with a gun since it was just my lobes. The second time I tried to go there I wanted to get double helix, I called on Tuesday, and they said their piercer would be in on Wednesday, so I went on Wednesday and they had a sign in their window that said closed till Wednesday. So again I went somewhere else. I went to perception body mod studio and had a great experience. So unfortunately I dont know if big Time is any good because I wasnt able to go.😐

Kate is wonderful!! I’m in town for work and had some downtime, which never happens when I’m home. I called to be sure they could take me as a walk in and went to get three cartilage piercings. She talked me out of a daith because that ridge in my ear is really small, and has a high chance for migration or rejection, but she was super excited to do a rook on me instead. She is very knowledgeable and talked me through the entire process. Because I am from out of town, she went above and beyond to explain what I need in resizing all of my new jewelry. I am very happy with my entire experience and will definitely go there again when I’m back in Indy. Thank you, Kate!! 😃

The place was really clean and smelled sanitized, I was greeted when I first walked in and immediately signed paperwork to go get my piercing. Kate was exceptional! She explained everything she was doing beforehand, and the process went smoothly!

Zech is an awesome artist to deal with! He’s super talented and knows what he’s doing! This is the second and yet the largest piece i’ve had done by him and in general. We worked through it hard and the results came out amazing!Lots of skin to cover still! Will be back!Awesome shop as well! Extremely clean and feels like family almost! Even if it’s not your artist they still check on you and the artwork being done!Owner was extremely friendly and helpful!

I got a conch piercing from Mande and she was amazing! She was incredibly, thorough, kind, and professional. She explained everything the entire time and made me comfortable from the moment I walked in until the moment I left.

Kate pierced my 6 year old daughter’s ears today, she was so amazing at what she does and was so good with her, being a nervous child and all! She calmed her down and kept her mind on other things like what school she goes to and asked about her pets. She even makes sure she has a conversation before hand to make sure they know what they are getting into (cleaning, not touching it while healing, slight pain of getting it done, etc.) Don’t be put off by the sick old school tattoo shop vibe when you walk in. Please take your kids here and ask for KATE instead of going to Claire’s or anywhere else. Seriously you won’t regret it. Plus why pay $80+ for someone who isn’t as qualified as Kate when you can spend $50 and give her a nice tip and have a professional take care of your child. Thank you so much for being so kind and just over all amazing with her. ❤️ She loves them!

Came in today had a minor ID mishap but had 2 forms and the owner was walking out and said get it done and that is exactly what she did I wanted a dermal integrated into my tattoo and another artist was able to weigh in and gave a fresh opinion and we came up with the perfect spot. 10 on cleanliness 10 on customer service 10 on it being done in a timely manner 10 on after care instructions. Even though iv had so many dermal piercings I still listen to my piercers I will deff be back and deff recommend #itsavibe

I wish I lived near this shop so when I go to get more piercings I can go to mandy. I got my nip nops pierced and she made it such a smooth process! Super non judgemental and a friend!

I was so nervous to get my ears pierced but Kate did an amazing job at helping me talk through it and tell me all I needed to know. 10/10 would recommend.

Went in with an emergency needing my labret ring removed because it was embedding due to a too short bar (my own fault) and Kate tried so many different things to eventually get it out safely! Tried to NOT charge me. Definitely got some cash for the efforts! Would HIGHLY recommend 🥹❤️🥹❤️

Baozer was by far one of the BEST artist I have got work done from. 7 hours later and I’m ready to sit for another tattoo. He made this piece look Fantastic with just the outline done. He is for his clients and able to make magic happen!Definitely hit his line and get an appointment set up! He will be booked up FAST!( already booked my next appointment)

Baozer was absolutely amazing! From the first text to the day of the appointment he accommodated everything I was looking for. I was able to give him my outline, concept and he took it to the next level. For this being my first tattoo, the environment was really relaxed and everyone there was super amazing. Bill ended up actually inking me and Baozer kept checking in. 10/10 would recommend and I’m already thinking of my next piece…. Hands down an amazing experience!

This place is amazing! I got my nostril pierced by Mandee. She was super friendly and helpful. She answered all my questions and was very calming during the whole piercing process, so I wasnt nervous. My piercing has healed great. 10/10 experience and will definitely be going back for my next piercings!

KATE IS THE BESTT!! I had gotten my nose pierced previously twice at a DIFFERENT shop and both times it wouldn’t heal and would sink into my skin so both times I had to take it out. I told Kate my problems with it healing and staying in my nose and she helped me find the perfect jewelry type and better placement. Even during the first week I could already tell it was starting to heal WAY BETTER. It’s not sore and it looks great, and I haven’t had any issues at all!!

This is actually the second time Ive been to this shop. I had a nose piercing done here and accompanied a friend for ear piercings today. The staff are very friendly and take good care of the clients. They explain everything to you every step of the way and give clear aftercare instructions in case you are new to modification

My friend and I went to Big Time Tattoos to get matching tattoos. We had gone to a different shop first and they were not willing to work with us on what we wanted to get for a reasonable price. We went to Big Time instead. Jason was willing to do what we wanted at a reasonable price. He was very nice and our tattoos turned out great. We both love them. I would definitely go back.

So happy that I went here . My fiancé got a tattoo here previously and it’s held up really well . I went in and had a consultation with bill about what I wanted on my arm for my son . He took it all in consideration and offered suggestions which I loved he also sent pictures of what he came up with . I wanted a couple things switched around and he did it without hesitation and gave me exactly what I wanted and it turned out beautiful ! Great atmosphere and great people . I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and will be returning when I want some more ink .

Got a couple piercings from Kate and she was awesome!!!! Took her time and made sure they were even, went through all the care and had the BEST personality!!!! 10/10 highly recommend!

Went to Big Time for my very first body piercing. I was super nervous but Kate was amazing! She made me feel at ease through the whole thing. She was very informative and helpful! 10/10 would recommend.

- UPDATE, December 2023 -:( This is a little rant-ish, but Im super disappointed and feel like a fool. Every ear piercing Ive got from this shop was done WAY too shallow. I wrote the original positive review after they did my daith. They removed my daith because it was migrating/rejecting. When they pierced it, I SUSPECTED it was way too shallow, and after only 2 weeks they looked at it and were like yeah you need to take it out, its rejecting. Which, ok fine, maybe it just didnt work. I didnt blame them for that. (By the way, they dont offer any kind of help or deal to re-pierce, they basically just said Id have to pay in full again if I try it again after it heals)Next visit: I have a super tiny tragus, but she pierced it. I even tried asking if my tragus would work, and they said yes no problem. The needle is literally IN MY EAR, and she says I could have gone a little deeper, do you want me to go deeper? And Im like, youre the expert, I dont know? She also pierced my forward helix, again, SUPER shallow, not as far in as she should have gone.I have asked other piercing artists for their opinion, and they each said Why are they so shallow? Its probably going to reject. And why didnt they warn you that your anatomy wont work for that type of piercing?TLDR; They pierce too shallow. I will not be going back and I feel like I wasted nearly $200 at this shop. Theyre super nice but dont really seem to care about doing it right.- ORIGINAL REVIEW, late October 2023 -Ive been there for 3 piercings now, first with Froggy, then with Kate, then with Mandy. (Froggy was great but no longer works there.) Kate and Mandy both are super cool and very professional and did an AWESOME job! I am hoping to get back in and get at least a couple more piercings from them! Thanks yall for the great service!!

My fiance got a flower on the inside of her ear. Looks cute but the green stem of the flower is hard to see.

I just went in today and got tatted by Bao Le. He did such an amazing job and i love it. Looks exactly like the picture and he took his time with detailing! I would recommend him to anybody!

Got a spur of the moment piercing today and I am so pleased! Froggy is incredibly professional and easy going. My sister went in for a nose piercing. Seeing him interact with two young clients and their parents prior to us put us immediately at ease. We told him we were interested in cartilage piercings and he took plenty of time helping us decide on these unplanned pieces and we both left with amazing piercings. Very satisfied; the customer care at Big Time is unmatched. We will be back!

Had an amazing experience here. Got my cartilage pierced here years ago by Froggy and he was very professional and did a great job. Just recently got my first tattoo and tank did a great job. I went to Froggy for a nose piercing today and he did an amazing job! I was really nervous and he walked through it and it really made the difference! Plus he was really knowledge about aftercare with the piercing too! Overall amazing job and will be going back again along with recommending him to others!!

Walked in for two small tattoos and we were welcomed in right away. Christine was very professional. Christine took plenty of time before each tattoo to clean and sanitize her room before inviting us in. Christine did a great job with the tiny task we asked of her.

Called about a year ago to set up a tattoo appointment. Man that answered was very polite and informative. Sent pictures of things I wanted and Bill was able to incorporate them together into 2 separate and very meaningful pieces. I went in to my appointment expecting to have one done and ended up getting both. Im so happy with my results! I have a few more I would like to get done and Ill be coming back here when that time comes!!

This is the only shop in Indy that I go to for my tattoos, mainly because of the cleanliness, but the professionalism as well. I recently decided to get a dermal piercing, which I was incredibly nervous about, but Froggy, the piercer, was super informative and professional. He made me feel like I was in safe hands. I thank Big Time for being a location that I can trust, I will be back soon.

I got my conch done yesterday & it was by far the easiest piercing I’ve ever gotten. Our piercer was so kind, communicated extremely well, and was overall super professional. The environment was also super great! Definitely coming back.

I’ve had a hard time with tattoos in the past, however these two were the easiest I have ever gotten. Bao was amazing, he used a numbing cream that worked wonders. He was so good that I went from getting one to getting two tattoos that day and I nearly fell asleep through both sessions. It was life changing honestly I am so appreciative. The store was super clean and everyone was very friendly. I would recommend this shop to anyone I knew and I plan on coming back again for Baos amazing line work and light hands.

The people here were nice and professional. Froggy did my 2 daughters and my nose piercings. Everything was clean and sanitized!!! He made us feel very comfortable. Just got a nose piercing from Froggy and it was awesome!! He helped me pick which side of my nose to get done and gave clear cleaning instructions- overall it was a delightful experience. Highly recommend getting a piercing here!! (Great price too!)

I was a walk-in with only a rough idea of what I wanted for my first tattoo. Abby was able to put togther the perfect design for me and Im absolutely in love with it. I have plans to return in the future to have her do more designs for me. I would absolutely recommend her, she does amazing work and she was very polite during the whole process.

I got my tongue pierced here, and although the overall experience was simple n painless, I don’t feel as if it was sanitary and I feel like it was not done right. Froggy did NOT clean nor did he mark my piercing before doing it, and he BRIEFLY gave me after care steps. I got my tongue pierced on Thursday, and it is now Sunday, and I am noticing a small bump appear in front of my piercing. I also watched videos prior to getting pierced and had other consultations with other piercers, so I know that they’re supposed to use longer barbells when first piercing the tongue, which froggy did not do. He also used stainless steel, when titanium is the best/recommended jewelry, and every other shop I’ve went to had stainless steel. I was so excited to come to him since I have read all of the other amazing reviews, but if I could go back in time, I would DEFINITELY tell myself to go to some one else.

I got my lip and tongue done yesterday and froggy was absolutely phenomenal! I was ridiculously nervous but he let my friends come back with me and joked with us the whole time. If I decide to get another piercing i’d definitely love to come back to him for it. Thank you sm!!

Jason was amazing. Loved his professionalism and care of work. I felt well looked after for my walk in. He was easy to talk to and made me laugh. The tattoo itself was quick and, no tattoo is ever painless, but it didnt hurt. You probably need a tattoo to understand that. This one healed up beautifully. I wish I lived closer to this location I would go back again!

Great Experience at this place.. went in for 1st tattoo super nervous but after all my questions were answered and TANK started working on the design he created with me I felt way better! I love my tattoo. Its beautiful and better than I imagined! True artists at work! Jason was so sweet and polite too. I felt like I was really heard and had some great conversations during the process! I got a dahlia flower with script (written beautifully by hand by Tank) for the stem. Flower done in full color! Its perfect!

Abby was amazing, her artwork is fantastic and she was super patient today with me as well. I can’t be more happy with the work she did! I’ve been wanting this tattoo for a long time as it means so much to me and she did way better than I could have imagined. She also did two other tattoos for me and blew my mind, Highly recommend her!

Worked with Jason on creating a tattoo design, he was GREAT to work with, very patient and understanding and was very great at making sure I was happy with the design before putting it permenantly on my skin. He was easy to get ahold of, answered all my questions (this was my first tattoo), and really did a great job overall. Plus the price was SO reasonable, the best Ive seen around, and he did great work. I would definitely come back to this shop, not just for him, but everyone there was very friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk to.

I came as a walk in with the intention of getting a nose piercing but froggy was so relaxed and knowledgeable I decided to get a rook piercing and my sister got a conch. Highly recommend this place for people getting a first piercing or those well acquainted. The facility was extremely clean and all practices were sanitary. While we were considering getting the ear piercings done froggy was not pressuring but made sure we were well informed. I will exclusively be going here to get my piercings done!! Wonderful experience!!

My niece and I went to big time on a Saturday evening, we had no appointments made. I was looking to get a new tattoo and she wanted her nose pierced. We were greeted as we walked in, the shop was very clean and the guys are great there. I was able to get my tattoo done and I was really impressed with Jason and how professional he is and how he makes sure to answer any questions and talks to you during his sessions. Got my first tattoo from here as tribute to my dad who recently passed away. Baozer drew my sketch up based on photos I sent for reference and did a fantastic job with the planning and overall outcome of my tattoo. Very happy with the experience!

Absolutely love this place. The piercer helped me with a rejecting piercing a few years back and he re-pierced it for me just a few days ago. He really knows his stuff, the prices are fair, and it was definitely worth driving an hour to come back here. My roommate got pierced too and we both had an amazing experience. Cannot recommend him enough!

For what he charged to do an industrial piercing ($60), a different place charged for just a single piercing on the upper cartilage area. Hopefully that made sense. He was the best. Funny as h***. Froggy pierced my nose and even though I was nervous, he was extremely professional and made me feel very at ease. He educated me about the entire process and sanitized everything throughly. Bill is awesome. He helped me, my husband and my sis in law make a tragedy into an awesome Memory. With the passing of my father in law we wanted our first tattoos to be a Memorial tattoo. We gave him our ideas and he rolled with it. Everyone in the office had great attitudes. This is the place to go!

I came in today to get a Marilyn Monroe piercing and i was very impressed with this establishment it was very clean and smelled good also. Froggy was helpful he was the gentlemen that did my piercing. Froggy explained everything he was going to be doing and did just that, he also explained piercing aftercare and suggested some products to get. I got my daith pierced here. Was trying it for my migraines. It was fast and kind of painless. I would highly recommend getting a piercing here!!

I got my helix pierced and Froggy was the best! He was so nice and helpful and he didnt try to overstep my usual piercers way of keeping it clean. He was very easy to talk to and didnt mind me coming in so late. I came here at the beginning of the year because I accidentally swallowed my tongue barbell ball and they gave me a new one and told me not to worry about it.

I went in today for a piercing and to get a ring for a different one. Jason did an amazing job of doing my new piercing and even put my other earring in for a good price all together. Was very nice, clean and very professional cant wait to go back to get a tattoo.

Shop was spotless, the guys working out the entire gun together in front of you so you knew that everything was new and sterile. Tank was very friendly, understanding and worked well under pressure as I only had 45 min to get my tattoo. This may look like a simple small tattoo but the meaning is apart of my heart and soul. I got my ears re-pierced there after my holes had closed up and my husband got his ears pierced for the first time. We decided to get our ears done to celebrate my husbands green card approval. The facility was very clean and Froggy was very professional and also very nice and explained how to care for our ears after the piercings. They follow Covid guidelines at this facility but do not require masks (my husband and I are both fully vaccinated). We waited in our cars until Froggy came to get us and only one person at a time was allowed in. Overall, 10/10 experience and if I ever want to get a second piercing set on my ears I will go there.

I wanted to get my ears pierced and I finally made the decision to do so. I decided to go here and was more than satisfied. The service was excellent! Any anxieties I had were eased away due to the professionalism and sensitivity of my piercer.

Yesterday, I had got an amazing tattoo started by Jason. A sleeve of dragon scales down my arm. This is my second tattoo, yet the first one from Big Time Tattoos. I cannot say enough how great the customer service is, Jason is fantastic at what he does and a lot of fun to talk to, Froggy, the piercing guy is really cool as well. He photo bombed me as I was taking a picture of the beginning of my sleeve, my only regret is that the picture turned out blurry lol.However, the pricing is very fair, honestly, incredibly cheap for the amount of quality that these guys put in their work. The work place is clean, great music and a lot of fun to be in! I know hands down that I will keep coming back to Jason for all of my tattoos!

Took my Daughter to get her belly button pierced yesterday and the quality is wonderful! They explained everything, were very kind, and very clean! I was so impressed with how we were treated I plan on going back to have my Daith pierced later this week!

My regular tattoo shop shut down. Couldnt find my artist anymore so I figured I would give this place a shot. nothing but 5 star reviews and a suggestion from a friend and I am so glad I took it. Jason did an awesome Reaper tattoo on my arm. His artwork is way better than I have seen at most places. Clean lines, great shading, and awesome cleanliness of shop. Definitely will be back for my next tattoo. From the artwork I have seen done on my buddy, JC looks like his stuff is pretty awesome too and Froggy does great piercings.

My first time coming here was amazing! I got my septum pierced by Froggy and he was so nice and thoroughly explained every step. My piercing turned out great and I will definitely be coming back for more :)

Just had my coverup tattoo done by Jason at Big Time. Great environment, great artists and great shop. They make you feel like family and explain everything thoroughly including the aftercare. I LOVE FROGGY!!!! He was great when he did my nose piercing about a month ago, and was amazing today helping me put it back in and saving my piercing when I accidentally snagged it today and pulled it out. I havent gotten ink here yet, but I totally will when Im ready for a new piece 🥰

I’ve been here twice, it super clean on the inside and have the best prices for what it is. I’ve been in two separate occasions and just so happened to have my tattoos done by Will. I called last weekend to get a two inch tattoo and see if they were accepting walk ins. They proceeded to ask who I was tattooed by, and I told them Will. They basically told me that they don’t want to step on Wills toes by tattooing me. Which to me was extremely insulting, they basically said I belong to Will. I think it’s quite nasty to be that way with your customers. If you cant do Will justice and do a decent tattoo then you probably shouldn’t be doing it. I don’t belong to anyone let alone a tattoo artist.

My brother went in to get a tattoo planned out, and one stayed up until 7 in the morning finishing the sketch. He then did the outline which looks beyond amazing. The employees are all very good at what they do, its a clean shop. Its a great tattoo parlor, all around.

My friend and I went here to get her nose pierced and my eye pierced. And it was very clean. Only let one of us in at a time and we was ok with this. They was very friendly and very fast. We are happy with our piercings. And very happy with where we chose to go. Great place and it was 35 dollars cheaper then the last place we went and was not happy with.

After a radical mastectomy and numerous reconstruction surgeries behind me, I was ready for the final touches to get my body back. I contacted Jason and he explained his abilities to me on the phone. Wow! He did a great job in making my areola area look so natural. He spent an hour at Big Time Tattoos consulting me and trying to find out exactly what I wanted. I recommend Jason to any woman that has undergone any type of reconstruction surgery to put on the final touches. We looked in Evansville (our home town) for months and could not find an artist to do this type of tattoo and I am very thankful we found Jason.

Got my first tattoo done here and I absolutely love it. The artist (tank) was super kind and funny and did a great job explaining how to care for the tattoo. It was a bit of a drive from my house to get to the shop but honestly it was completely worth it and I’ll be going back for future tattoos.

I went in for a tongue peircing. Clean place and very sanitary. My tongue piercing was 40$, so affordable. A guy named froggy did my peircing and was very quick, he made me feel comfortable. It was quick and painless. My peircing is healing nicely. He also opened up my step dads peircing back up, quickly. I will be going back when my piercings heal for 2 more. My step dad and mother may go in for tattoos from him as well. All the staff was very kind. I highly recommend comeing here. They are affordable and quick but they do an amazing job.

We had an awesome experience yesterday. We drove all the way from Columbus because of the reviews on here and on Facebook and we were not dissappointed. Bill did our tats and he made both of us feel relaxed and gave us exactly what we wanted. He made adjustments to make all of us feel comfortable, including the family member that did not get tatted. This was my 5th tat and I honestly wish I would have gone to this shop sooner. We will be going back when we want more work done. Prices, art, artists, and shop all get an A+ in my book.

The people I talked to were all short, direct and right to the point. The guy that did my ink took the time to get to know what it was I wanted. We worked together with different ideas before I decided on something I would be proud to wear for the rest of my life. And Im afraid Im not mistaken about the location because my Google maps asked for my opinion of this store. I dont know maybe it was a bad time of the day when I was there, but thats how I was treated. Ill drive a little further to have my guy R.D. do my next tat. The first was expensive as hell, but worth every penny. Im referring to different a shop in Beech Grove.Sorry guys, I had to be honest.

I was a walk-in and made an appointment to come back later that day. Gave them the design I was looking for and the names I wanted incorporated in the design. Froggy did my belly button piercing two years ago and I just went back to finally get my nose pierced. Was scared cause I’ve heard it hurts like hell to get but Froggy was so nice and did an amazing job once again. He’s the only one I trust to give me piercings

I got my Industrial piercing done in 2019 and recently i got my Medusa piercing done on Saturday, both times Froggy was comforting and hospitable. He really explained that in both piercing they were and still are kind of extreme because of location anf healing time.

Best tattoos, piercings, artist and piercers in indiana. I have had every tattoo done on my body done by Jason except one and my only regret is that Jason didnt do that one. The prices you cant find anywhere else, the atmosphere is unbeatable and the artists are top notch. I would recommend 10/10 to anone look for some spectacular yet affordable work.
