Great environment and aesthetics. Wonderful service team as soon as you walk through the door. And the tattoo artists are kind and considerate of everything that you need. I would definitely consider this location to start a adventure in your tattoos. Two thumbs up.

Mike is an amazing artist and super friendly and personable. The shop is very clean and has an ambiance that only the best shops pull off. While I was waiting, I listened as the artists expertly guided patrons. Taking their ideas and turning them into unique and personal tattoos. Though I didnt get a piercing, I met the piercer and he was friendly and the type of character you want to put holes in your body.

I had my vch done here perfect anatomy plenty of skin mine tore in half cuz they used to heavy of jewelry. Asked another piercer and basically belly button jewelry was used. Which is too big and too heavy for this area now I don’t know if I’ll heal properly to even have the chance of having it redone. I paid almost 200$ and I’m completely devastated by this. After talking with multiple piercers they said jewelry was incorrect and placement was also bad.

My friends and I had an exceptional experience last night with Mike. We decided last minute to get tattoos (right before closing) and they let us take our time and make it such a fun experience while our friend got her first tattoo. They turned out perfect and the linework is spectacular!They were personable and so kind even after the shop was closed they allowed us to wait for our Uber inside while it poured rain. Mike even helped make sure we made it to our Uber because they had trouble with road closures. We would recommend to anyone and couldn’t stop ranting about how wonderful of an experience we had. Thanks a million!!

I had an amazing experience here ! i always feel kind of anxious going into tattoo shops but the people here were so kind & welcoming. i came in to get the other side of my nose pierced, he took his time to make sure it was in the right spot & i love it !! they also had time to do a small tattoo for me which i also love ! 10/10 recommend & i will be back ☺️

The whole staff was absolutely amazing!!! We showed up right at open for a walk-in and luckily got in two hours later & we were allowed to leave and come back if we didn’t want to wait in the building! Brad did all 3 of our tattoos and was super nice & they all look perfect- I would absolutely recommend him!!

Absolutely love this place! Ive gotten two tattoos here and theyre both amazing! I would definitely recommend going there if you have never been, also theyre really good about walk ins! Jesus was my tattoo artist very professional, attentive, knowledgeable, and funny! My tattoo came out looking amazing!The front desk secretary was very kind, the other artists also were kind. They also have a wonderful pet supply store connected! (K9 closet) The lady running it was SO SWEET! We had a great time killing time there while we waited! I definitely recommend this shop!

The wife and I stopped in for a small couples tattoo. The process was super smooth and Mike was great to work with. Highly recommend this place.

Wouldnt recommend wasting your time or money. Regardless of their work theyre extremely rude and not interested in new clientele. I tried scheduling some ink and was told they were out till October which I replied was fine and would be willing to put a deposit down and schedule. The story then changed and I was told I would have to come in to schedule. When I replied I lived 3 hours away they simply said I wont be able to help you and werent interested in any scheduling at all. Fine by me Id rather travel 4 or 5 hours to a decently operated business that is professional.

My wife and I walked in for a spur of the moment tattoo and were treated to one of the best tattoo experiences we have encountered. Everyone there was good spirited and professional. The tattoo work by Chris and TJ was excellent and reasonably priced. Also the shop was a very comfortable space. We will definitely stop in again for more work. Thank you guys.

Have been here multiple times with my friend and what we have been told has never been consistent. The piercing was quick and cheap… but come to find out they went the cheap route after talking to a more experienced piercer. DO YOUR RESEARCH before getting a piercing, especially here. The jewelry is extremely low quality so I would consider it a waste of my money and time. They also didn’t give me ANY aftercare instructions..

By far the most professional tattoo shop Ive ever experienced. Never have to be concerned with the outcome of your tattoo, or the cleanliness of the equipment. Artist there always perform far past expectations, and I know this will bethe only place Ill come for anymore tattoos.

Pretty crazy that a place with such good artists offers walk-in appointments every day. Brad hooked it up with a killer sunflower tattoo, and they let my sisters hang in the back with and even put on a movie for them.The most important thing in a tattoo shop after the quality of art is the vibe, and this place nails it on both.Check out the dope Wu Tang flash art on the wall too 😍

This was my first tattoo ever. Im from California, on vacation for the summer, driving around the states. I think Kansas was a pretty good spot, just by instinct and a gut feeling. I also came up with what I wanted while in this area. I called Irezumi after seeing them online, to see if they do walk ins, as the places Ive called were appointments only. They said yes, and I nervously made my way there. I gave my description to Rob, the artist assigned to me, and showed him a few images that was in the area of what I wanted. Within an hour he had a design worthy of my forearm. So grateful of the work, made my trip worth while, and was definitely the highlight of the 26+ states Ive been to in the past two months. I wear my bleeding heart upon my sleeve forever. Thank you so much!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Before and after pictures below, two weeks later. Tattoo is now infected!!!I came here for a tattoo and made an appointment at 11am and was told that my appointment was set for 5pm by the front desk attendant. When I got to my appointment the man told me that he could only do one tattoo instead of the two we scheduled because he had someone else behind me. He also continuously pressured me to shrink my son’s footprints because he wanted to rush the process for the appointment after me. When the man began the tattoo, I noticed he was tattooing very deeply. I asked for him to tattoo softer because in my experience, anytime a tattoo is done too deeply it heals horribly. He told me that you’re supposed to tattoo very deeply so the color will remain. He also asked me whether it was still hurting after I stopped acknowledging his intentional shanking of my skin. After I told him I’d never bled so much from a tattoo he told me I wasn’t bleeding as much as I was imagining. When I came in the shop to consult the artist and the owner, I was told it was supposed to look like it does and I just requested a refund. I was told that I can’t have the tattoo and my money back and I honestly would’ve never paid for the tattoo from hell had I have know it would look like this. I began crying because of how emotional I was especially because it’s my baby’s footprints and was told I can cry all I want and was told to leave. This tattoo shop doesn’t value their customers satisfaction at all. Anything you request will be dismissed with “I’ve been tattooing for 30+ years, I know best.”

Took my 16-year-old daughter here to get her ear pierced at the top. They were very nice and calming. I was surprised because she doesnt like needles but the young lady that took care of her did an excellent job. She explained everything that she was going to do so that she didnt feel the needle. The place was very well-kept, clean, bright and peaceful. Im quite sure that she will be going back when shes older for another piercing or a tattoo. Very pleased.

Went here for a memorial daisy tattoo for my first rescue dog Daisy. Brad was very nice and helpful with suggestions. Front desk guy was funny and very easy going. Thanks guys!

Safe to say I was VERY nervous to get my first tattoo, but Saint Dallas totally blew me out of the water. He drew up my idea in a way I never would have thought to, made me feel completely at ease, and did an incredible job. My cousin Blake is the most awesome and the best person on this entire planet to get a tattoo from. I’ve seen him use a needle to poke a balloon filled with just regular air twice and it didn’t pop. Best tattoo artist ever. I love my cousins store and it’s awesome that they’re store is now together.

I’ve had 5 piercings here and every single time the ball of the jewelry has fallen out multiple times, and it’s nearly impossible to put the jewelry back in. They use internally threaded jewelry which I, personally, am not a fan of because I find it the most difficult to put on and tighten by yourself.I’ve had my snakebites pierced for not even two full weeks and I’ve had to put the jewelry back in at least 5 times and I’ve visited the store twice for ball replacements. The male piercer was very nice about replacing the jewelry and giving me new balls/longer post.However, when I went in to get the post changed out to hoops after my ball fell off yet again, the female piercer told me she wouldn’t switch my jewelry out because it’s too new. Now, as someone who’s been pierced 30 times in the last decade, I know there can be infection risk to switching jewelry out too soon…but I don’t really think cleaning balls that have fallen on the ground off and spending 15+ minutes trying to twist it back in reduces any infection risk.My issue here is the lack of consistent practice. She stated she would not change out the jewelry but the male piercer would (but he was not present on the day I went in). My other issue is that she would not hand over sterile, packaged jewelry without wearing gloves. While not a big issue, just something that weirds me out. Makes me think my jewelry isn’t sterile…Anyways, as I am writing this I am already much happier to have a hoop instead of a post in but I still can’t get the ball on the other side in.

I absolutely loved my experience at Irezumi! Walked in and waited less than an hour and had the best experience with Dennis! He did exactly what I wanted! He was a great artist and was so kind.

I’ve gotten around 4 tattoos from here and my boyfriend has gotten two, we both honestly will never go to a different place for anything we automatically loved this place since we found it, I can’t wait to go back! Everyone one was super friendly and made the environment very comfortable! I love my tattoos they look even better than the pictures I showed! We were walk-ins the first few times so I was kinda worried that they’d not put the same amount of effort in as they would with an appointment (I’ve experienced that at a different place) but they were honestly amazing every time! We recommend here to everyone we know. I definitely cant wait to make an appointment for a bigger piece here!

14 years after my last tattoo. I walked in Friday nervous, walked out today (Sunday) with a gorgeous new tattoo, better than I could have imagined! It was my first full color! I felt like a stranger walking in, and like family walking out. Good people, good work! Thanks to Jacob and Zoe for taking care of me!

Decent setup. There’s a pool table in there. They also have an ATM (it’s cash only). They do a good job with piercings for the most part (one lady there is really good, the other is OKAY). I don’t remember her name though. Never got a tattoo here. But I got my nose pierced twice.Warning .. They aren’t the friendliest lol but that’s typical for most tattoo shops (although it is nice when the people are more friendly than not). But despite that.. they’re the most decent piercing shop I’ve been able to find in Kansas City. They moved my mark for my piercing until I liked it.There’s one more shop I heard is good but last I checked they required you to be vaccinated. So I found this place on google.Hope this helps! ✨

Took my 16yr old last month to get his ears pierced. Immediately entering the place the guys up front were super friendly & relaxed. Definitely great with small talk with my son & made sure he was good to go. Super easy process submitting our documents for him. We only had to wait a very short amount of time before Cordis got us. Cordis was also super comfortable to be around, friendly and made sure the kid was happy with placement etc…I really loved that jewelry was included. He had exactly what we wanted in stock/available & absolutely no issues afterwards. No redness, no soreness etc..couldn’t have gone better. I’ll forever recommend this place!

I have been pleased with their service and patience for first-timers. With that being said, I wouldnt recommend thisto those who are unfamiliar with ear piercings, more specifically. There are better places to go that will give you better jewelry thatll be easier to heal and less likely to get infected. The type of jewelry they use will twist off, and you wont be able to turn it back on yourself. I went here three times, believing it was a good place so I spent $240 here in a year. I went to another place and paid $60 for one piercing instead of $80 for two helix piercings, and I have had it longer than any of the piercings I got here. Dont fall for the jewelry is included because what seems like a good deal made me feel like I was in a bad situation.

Cant go anywhere else im pretty picky with my skin so got be best of the best and these guys know their stuff all of the artist here do great work I personally use Kevin hes spend a lot of time throwing down on me and Ive never had a bad tattoo or reaction from the ink very cool cat ,hes done 4 portraits on me and nailed them so thankful I chose him.

Super awesome place! I got my helix pierced here the other day and the staff was extremely kind and professional. All of the tools were sterilized with an autoclave and the building was also well kept and clean. I would definitely recommend going here to get pierced.

I went here for my first tattoo and my second and they are absolutely stunning! Artist are so kind and do a wonderful job! I went somewhere closer to me for a small piece and it’s definitely not what I wanted at all. Definitely learned my lesson. I recommend this place to anyone that’s looking to have work done :) and will come here anytime I want another!

The piercer here is god awful and one of the rudest most emotionally unstable individuals I have ever come into contact with. People like that should not be paid to offer services especially something as serious as stabbing someone with a needle. I had the weirdest interaction of my whole life and would just like to warn people do not come here for anything piercing related!!!!

Went in to make a piercing appt, but was able to get it done right then. The artist was very nice/reassuring and talked through everything that was being done. Reasonably priced and very quick.Also it was such a neat building! According to someone who works there it used to be an old funeral home, so it has some really interesting history.

I had a horrible experience a couple days ago. I went in to get my conch earring changed out for a hoop. Dude changed out my daith instead and wanted to argue that I misspoke. I asked him before he put the hoop in of it was big enough for the conch. Turns out it wasnt. My ear is now painfully swollen from the jewelry being too tight. My whole ear is red. Terrible piercer.

Best place to get ink! Its been a hot minute and ready to go back.

My piercer was great. Super friendly and made me feel comfortable. I love the jewelry he used and it all took only 15 minutes for two piercings. Didn’t hurt at all and it’s the same day of my piercing and I’m not experiencing any redness or pain

Wow is all I can say. Jesus did an amazing job. Well worth the price. Shop is very clean and Jesus booth was no exception. He was friendly and professional. I would recommend this place and Jesus in particular to anyone. I saw some comments on Yelp about them being rude there. The guy at the desk takes some getting used to so dont be offended. I had a Scheduled appointment for this evening (10/05/21) 6pm with Kevin. I arrived at 550pm and there was a guy at the counter talking with someone and when he finally acknowledged me he asked if he could help me. I stated that I had an appointment and he said who with because he didnt have anyone on his books. I told him Kevin and he said he has been out sick this week.So, I drove over 30mins one way for a scheduled apt that wasnt going to happen. I did read the reviews before hand. There were some good reviews and some not so good. You will get that anywhere I get it. But when you have an artist out SOMEONE should call the scheduled people to cancel. To top it off the guy literally acted like it was no big deal. Well it is a big deal to some of us.Here is my advise, if you want to take your chances here, call before you go, even if you have an appointment because they wont call you if anything changes.I will never recommend this place to anyone just because of the poor customer service.

The place itself is great but the people who work there made all the difference. Chris could sense my daughter’s nervousness about getting her second piercings while waiting and completely put her at ease with his humor and warm personality. He even went back with her for moral support :) Cordis did the piercing and he too was phenomenal. Warm, friendly, and lots of humor for our daughter. My takeaway- this place and these people are great! Only feedback would be is to provide as much info over the phone as possible. We did a walk-in and only after our few prior phone calls did I realize that only a certain individual can do under age 15. As this was a Christmas gift and we were from out of town it would have been a let down not to be able to get the service done while in KC. Big thank you to Chris and Cordis- you both are amazing!

I did a ton of looking for a good place to get a tattoo in Kansas City. The reviews were great for this place! I decided to give it a shot. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door (which is huge) the entire staff was friendly, to us and others. The place was clean and very well put together. Mark did my tattoo. Mark jumped up to help me, introduced himself with a handshake (another huge plus) I told him what I wanted and he ran with it. I couldn’t be happier with his art. I didn’t once feel like they just wanted to collect my money and get me in and out. (Let’s face it, most of us have been to a shop like that) He took his time, made me feel welcome. I highly recommend this place. I’m extremely satisfied with my tattoo, and plan to be back in the near future!

This place came recommended by a friend. Im so glad I went here for my first tattoo and quite possibly all the rest. I walked in without an appointment and got my tattoo the same day.The shop is clean, well-decorated, and roomy. It is easily the nicest tattoo shop Ive been in. These guys are professionals and act like it. My tattoo was done in a timely manner even though I was prepared to wait. Theres a coffee shop next door for those who do have to wait.My tattoo turned out beautifully and was exactly what I wanted. Dallas was my artist and his placement was precise. I highly recommend Irezumi and Ill definitely be returning.

I was super excited to get a tattoo today, it is my nineteenth birthday. However, I wish I could take it back and never have come here. The artist was rushed, starting the conversation by saying how he has three appointments after mine to do, and he can’t run behind. Guess what? That’s not my problem! I was told to come in at 11:30 via on the phone, as they never answered my emails. Then I come in and they tell me 12:30. Cool, not an issue. I come back and he’s rushing everything telling me if I want to change parts of the tattoo I will have to come back tomorrow. I made a small change, so it wasn’t an issue and we headed up to start. The whole tattoo took around 30 minutes, and as he was going I would take a peek and everything seemed to be alright. And then he wrapped it up and I went home. I took off the bandage and immediately broke down in tears. The line work was so uneven and messy, the hearts ARENT EVEN FULLY COLORED. They aren’t even facing the same direction! Or centered! I have been crying on and off all day about it, and my mom has to remind me to stop looking at it because I just start to cry. when putting something permanent on another person, you DO NOT RUSH. I wish I would’ve seen the red flags from this artist. I’m sure the rest of the artists are great, and from what I’ve been told he has been tattooing for a while, but today was the worst experience I’ve ever had while getting a tattoo. I am still so so upset. I have called and they said they would fix it no charge (bare minimum) but I still have yet to hear about getting any sort of refund. This tattoo is so messed up I breakdown because I am worried some parts simply are too messed up to save. Not all hope is lost, but it truly made me upset (an understatement) and was not a great birthday.

Ive always admired all of the work Ive seen coming out of this place. I recommended it to my buddy for his first tattoo, so we went in a couple weeks ago. I wasnt aware theyd moved to a new location in the same area, and this one suits the atmosphere. Chris was awesome, especially with it being my friends first tattoo. Great experience, clean, sterile, light handed (from what I heard) and non-intimidating.. until after. We saw an artist lose it on a potential client in the foyer when she asked him to redraw a design. I know its one artist out of a group and people have bad days, but I mean. It was a bit loud and abrasive for something that is inherently part of your job.. you could always charge by the hour and include the consult/redrawing if it upsets you that much, as I heard varying price scales coming from each artist. He had the nerve to ask her if she still wanted him to tattoo her. If I knew his name, Id give it. Five stars for the shop as a whole, but losing one for that pretty unprofessional outburst.

I went to get a tattoo I had been planning for 3 years. I showed them the idea I had and told them what I wanted to edited. I started with one of the artists and he sent me the edit 3 weeks later but when I responded with my thoughts I never heard from him again. So I went in again to get a different artist, I had asked them to send me a pic when they finished the sketch. The week of the appointment I had asked again for the photo. They told me he would send it to me before my appointment. They day of I called and said he won’t be in till my appointment so I’ll see it then. The tattoo still wasn’t what I wanted it to be and we kept editing. I told him the size I wanted and it ended up being a lot bigger than expected which maybe that’s on me. He added shading into the image and I didn’t want any of that shading. The only shading I had said would be okay was for the hair. It is shaded throughout the entire piece. Yes he did a great job, and its a great piece. It’s not what I wanted. I wish I know how much he was shading bc it wasn’t in the sketch.

I came in to inquire about a tattoo a couple weeks ago and everyone was super helpful and friendly from the front desk to the artist. I met with Blake and showed him ideas I had and he had a custom design drawn up that was amazing! I had my appointment last week and it turned out beautifully. I had to go to the appointment by myself but everyone in the shop was welcoming and Blake really calmed my nerves. I will be back and I will recommend to all!

Finally got my first tattoo! My sister and I got one together and she took us here since Kevin had such a great job on her first one. Everyone was very nice and Kevin was fantastic! The tattoos came out perfectly (still healing but it looks amazing!) and was relatively painless. We both got similar pieces, but different styles. But he kept the font on both pretty much the same which we love!

I went today to get my piercings and the girl that did them (I cant remember your name. Im so sorry) was amazing! If I ever want any more done she is who I will go to! And I dont know if it was the same guy everyone is talking about, but the guy at the front desk was cool as hell. I plan on getting some tattoo work done soon and will be definitely be coming here! I had a great experience here. I got a septum piercing with Cordis and he was great! Minimal pain and he talked me through everything he would be doing. I could tell hes done this many many times so that made me feel comfortable. This was my first time going and I would highly recommend Irezumi. It’s a little more expensive than other places but very much worth it.

Jesus did an amazing job. I found this place looking online and seeing that it had better and more ratings than other shops. They did not disappoint. Jesus skill and quality work is immaculate. I will definitely be using him again.

Great experience. I went here for my 18th birthday and this place was recommended by my friends sister. It was quick and they did an amazing job. Only thing I wish was more detailed instructions on tattoo aftercare but they did answer questions if I called.

I went in for a vertical labret piercing. first of all the staff was standoffish. the piercer wasn’t very warm and when i told her what i wanted, she looked at my lip and said that ‘i didn’t have a defined enough lip’. she then told me that she tried to do one on herself and it rejected. i left because i was set on having that piercing and it was clear she wasn’t comfortable doing it. i talked to a friend of mine, who also went there and was told the same thing, (who is someone who has very big and defined lips) but when my friend went to another place, she was able to get the piercing and it healed just fine. the next day i went to Radiance Piercing and got the labret. when i told Kait (my piercer) about this, she said it wasn’t even a thought in her head when looking at my lips. i wish that the piercer would have just told me she doesn’t like doing those kinds of piercings, instead of making me and other people feel like that piercing isn’t even possible for them when it is.

Had my piercing done late night, I was ecstatic on how fast it was executed. The setup of the shop is clean friendly (pool table) and private. I recommend this place because of all the major important factors…… You want quality work, come here.

I took my daughter in to get her nose pierced. 2 days later it came out. The only instructions we were giving was how to keep it clean. When I went up there and called on the phone I was told they would not give my daughter her money back (which she paid for herself or redo the job without another $40. Its sad that a wonderful experience for her was taking away because of greed and not enough information on making sure it was secured. She would have been a returning customer but not now

My friend and I got tattooed by Chris and he was so nice and made us feel so comfortable and well taken care of! He also does really great work! We got small tattoos and the line work was really good!

Walked in and got 4 piercings done by Cordis, 2 upper lobe and 2 cartilage. Nothing too fancy but he was super kind and informative about it all, very quick and gentle, made the whole experience as good as it possibly could have been honestly. Total time was probably only about 20 minutes in and out but that I know was based on my luck of time, but still! It was over so fast I wasnt sure if Id even had anything done. Thanks man I wish I had more work I wanted done just because it was so pleasant with you!

You received one star for the man who sits in the front he was nice. I would of did no stars but I couldnt. Been there 4 times with in 6 mys to keep getting a Piercing that I was told was done wrong with a earring that was to big to come back after it healed ,came back to another piercer same spot and the piercing still managed to come out . I would like for them to start giving out honest info. On top of that spent a lot of money. Then you come on here Being sarcastic instead of asking would happen furthermore shows How unprofessional your establishment is. And your welcome.

Ive had issues with tattoo shops in the past so I came in cautious, but as soon as I came in all my worries went away. Everyone was very professional. Just got my first tattoo here today. I am so glad I came here instead of settling for someone cheaper. Dallas was my artist and the entire experience couldnt have gone better. They reasonably priced and very laid back and professional. I was in and out in less than two hours. I recommend these guys to anyone. I will definitely be coming back.

The first time I went I had Cordis. He was very nice and laid back which I liked. This was my first time getting extra piercings and he made it happen in a breeze. I apparently dont do to well with pain and kinda snapped on him because he said I was a bleeder. I did apologize because I didnt realize it came off that way which wasnt my intention but he took it like a champ. He didnt get upset or anything and even made a joke out of it lol. I went back to get the last 4 piercings from him. I have no complaints and I will visit again when I am ready for new piercings but that wont be for a while because these last few hurt alot more than the first two. I got a total of 6 piercings. Prices are kinda high but I dont mind. Havent had no issues with any of my piercings so far.

I went to get my nose pierced again. Piercer was friendly and professional. He gave me great advise and was fast but gentle !! I love this shop , I was in and out in 15 mins!!

Piercer is always on point. I got my tragus pierced and it fell out in my sleep. Went back in on a Sunday and he got a new one with a clasp in and it was $5. Such great service both times I went, the location is super super clean, and felt comfortable and cozy. I don’t do well with blood and they were friendly and supportive, I’m gonna be spending a lot of $$ here.

I just got my first tattoo here the other day and it was a great experience. Trevor, the artist, worked with me to ensure I loved the font even when I wanted something different than his suggestion. He was patient and made sure I was comfortable at all points during the process. I will definitely be going back to him for my next tattoo!

My husband I have been here a few times now, each of us getting our own style of ink. The staff is awesome and Kevin is simply AMAZING! I highly recommend the establishment for anyone looking for a great tattoo...and if you get Kevin, deem yourself lucky. We live almost 2 hours away, so 4 hours round trip, just for the work that Kevin does. Mad props!!!

Cordis did an amazing job with piercing my doubles on my ear lobes, they are perfectly even and we was so nice! He was very calming and super fast :)

This place gets five stars from me. I took my teen her for a tattoo and was politely denied. No problem at all for me. The gentleman explained the missouri laws for age required for tattoos and piercings. 👌🏽 It was awesome to have someone other then yourself explain to your teenager the laws. We will be back when age-appropriate. Thanks again guy who opened up Monday the 27th. 😆

I’ve come here many times, gotten 9 tats, and gotten 7 piercings. I’ve been overly satisfied with the service and quality. My tattoos are vibrant and faded well, while my piercings are good quality and professionally done. This is the ONLY place I trust for walk-in tattoos, as well as piercings. I’ve been to two other places for piercings, and they could never match up to Irezumi. The great dudes who tatted me (Jose, Brad, Chris, and Dennis) were super dope and good at what they do...welcoming and great at conversation. I can trust Devyn and Cordis with any piercing, to not only do it right and comfortably, but to ease the process and give me confidence. I’m very confident that those who visit Irezumi, will enjoy their experience, and be back for more. By far my favorite place:)))

I have had 10 tattoos and 14 piercings done here. The piercers are awesome and very fast. My fav is Beth but they are all good! I love all my tattoos and I love that they have hand drawn all of them. My first was done by Tiffany (RIP). I had one done by Mark and all the rest by Chris. All are very talented artists. I have referred several friends and family members here and all have had great experiences. My favorite place to go! And k9 Closet is there too so if you have pets you should check it out for unique collars, great products and quality food!

Dennis was awesome, even though I got a very small basic piece he still treated me like a customer that was getting major work done. 10/10 would recommend to my friends and anyone I care about. Awesome experience, will definitely be going back to Dennis!

Me and 2 friends came into this place a couple weeks ago to get piercings, within a week my friends conch fell out, and the re piercer told her that the placement was awful insulting her own co worker. Super unprofessional. then a week later my friends lip piercing fell out, the re piercer told her that her placement was bad. Then my tragus piercing falls out last night. This place is cheap for a reason, and unless you want your jewelry to fall out, be told the placement sucks, and then pay to get it put back in....dont come here.

I just got a tattoo with Kevin today. Im very pleased with his work and he was very nice. Irezumi is clean, well lit, peaceful, and fairly priced. My tattoo ended up being way less than I thought it would be and Im very pleased with my experience there.

I have had all my piercings done by Beth and she is by far the best in the city. Their new location is fantastic and they are always very professional and kind. The shop is always clean and they know what they are doing. I will be taking my daughters here for their ears and cartilage piercings as they become old enough. If you want amazing art work and quality piercings done right irezumi is the best.

I have taken both my daughters in to get their second ear piercing at separate times. I am feeling bad for being forgetful, but think the guys name is Cory, he is fantastic! He listened to my girls and all their chatter. Didnt rush anything. Very respectful and kind. Answered all their questions on care and concerns. Would highly recommend for piercing!!

I called to get my rook pierced and they said they had the jewelry. When I showed up I waited for about 20min (which is fine) but when I went back the lady told me that they didn’t have any jewelry for a rook. So I asked her what would look good and she pierced my ear and it looked great but after having it for a 3days my ear had healed over the back of the piercing and it was soo swollen. I went to Freaks on Broadway and they took out the small jewelry and fixed it perfectly.

I have one tattoo done here by Jakob, and my nose pierced by Kaylee. They were my first piercing and tattoo, and both Jakob and Kaylee were very reassuring and gentle and answered all of my questions while providing other very useful information as far as cleaning and care go. Excellent, excellent customer service and I definitely will be coming back for my next tattoos and piercings in the future.

I got my nose pierced here on Saturday by Daryl. He was the SWEETEST guy and VERY professional. I had friends there for moral support and he patiently answered all of their questions, then brought me water and a cold cloth when I felt woozy after standing up to fast. What a great experience and a great shop! Thanks Daryl!

So yeah, I recently got an MRI and forgot to put my nipple ring back in.....2 days later, couldnt get it back in. Found Irezumi Tattoo and was greeted and told the gentleman my issue and he said we can fix that. The piercing artist was a very polite young lady name Devyn. Very patient, very personable. She got it back in. Now......when a piercing artist does you a solid for next to nothing $$ wise.....make sure ya give em a little extra......

Very friendly and helpful, although the artist who did my families tattoos no longer works here everyone was great and he did a great job. i got my first tattoo at 18 here (i now have 11, two i did myself) and the rest of my family have gotten a total of 15 tattoos done here. Highly recommended.

Love my piercer there but my tattoo artist Mark was very rude and would not accommodate to my schedule for a touch up. I originally got my back tattoo done in April first session was great he took his time and everything but when I came back for my second session a month later my artist was rude as hell. Increased the price for numbing cream that was promised for the whole tattoo used it the first session but second session nope. He was rushing through the second session because he had someone waiting on him downstairs when we still had over half to still do. He did it in like 30 minutes when the first session was 2 1/2 hours. When he was done it looked fine but of course I can hardly see it since it’s on my back. After a week or so I could tell where some lines weren’t connected and my top half of my dream catcher looked like a sketch! I messaged him about a touch up and he said he will only do them during the week and I told him the time I could be there and he wouldn’t work with me. And then I asked about weekends and that doesn’t work either. After going back and forth for months. We agreed on a date in September finally but the closer it got to it I couldn’t make that work and he said we will just switch it to next Saturday so I said ok sweet when I messaged him to confirm I was told no that doesn’t work and ended up getting blocked because I was upset I’ve paid for a full tattoo and can’t even get in to have him finish his work. Mark was very unprofessional about the whole situation and i didn’t realize I’d have to put more money into this piece because he can’t be professional enough to finish what he started. Lesson learned I guess...

I came as moral support with a friend and her daughter who wanted a nose piercing. While there, I decided to re-pierce my tragus. Devin was wonderfully patient, kind, conversational, and good at her trade. When I knocked off the front of the stud while cleansing a week and a half later, I returned for new jewelry, with which she was happy to help me, and I ended up leaving with a new conch piercing. She’s not closest to where I live but she is definitely one of my favorite piercers, so I will go back to work on the other ear when I’m home next.

Very professional, lots of artist with loads of talent. Clean facility and plenty of room to move around. The pool table in the lobby is a great for when you have to wait. Appointments are recommended and it is a cause only facility so come prepared.

Was able to do a walk-in tattoo on a Sunday morning. It turned out great. I want to say my artists name was Kevin. This was my 4th tattoo and my first time going somewhere other than my home studio in Nebraska. Would definitely recommend.

Went for ear lobe piercings and they were out of jewelry, that weekend and late in the day, they offered another studio whom they felt comfortable sending us to. Facility was clean, staff was inviting, and got a tattoo ball park while I was there.

They always rock Ive had art work and piercing.. Always great, but Im sad because Im allergic to nickel so piercing always had to come out!!!! And its surgical steel but I cant and I did it many times. Ear stomach tongue... But had reactions😬😬🤪🤪🤪😒😒

Went to get a new Dermal Top put on, price was only for the jewelry not for the time. Also the person who helped me, without charging or questions, took the time to clean out pieces of plastic from my last dermal top. The previous piercer left behind shredded pieces when he tried to remove it. Not their mistake or problem but they had still taken out of their time....

I love this place so much! They are very clean and professional. The front desk guy was so good at his job and I feel nobody could do that job better than he was. Im giving 3 stars because of the work. If I could rate how I was treated on the 4 occasions I came in for tattoos and piercings it would be a 1. They are always rude at the front desk and act as if they cannot be bothered by requests for service or god forbid ask a question. My artist was just as bad, rude and treated me like a burden, you would have thought I kicked his dog he was so rude and short with me. I choose the shop out of respect for the great artists and although I did not have the pleasure to meet all of them, the ones I did meet made me realize I will not be getting any work done at this shop again. It isnt hard to be a good person to people; especially people who are CHOOSING to display your art on them for a lifetime.

I like my tattoo, but they were rude unprofessional and racist! The guy did my tattoo was rude to my friend said she asked to many questions. Things escalated from there they called my friends out of there names and one them threatened to beat my friend up which was a female. I hated that I wasted my money there. Was the worst experience ever. I called back to tell how I felt because I was in shocked that everything was happening so fast. The said as long as you like your tattoo that all should matter. No it you suck in customer service and dont have no self control over yourself. It ruin my experience there. Will never ever go back there again. If I can remember there names in would definitely but them on blast.

Got my second piercing here when I was 18, i had a great experience back then and decided it was time to get a new piercing. Guy was nice on the phone but a complete jerk when we went in. He really didnt seem like he likes his job or maybe hes having an off day but for the love of everything please dont talk to people rudely.

Walked in today with no appt for a Daith piercing. Cordis was amazing! I was nervous, he put me at ease and was done so quickly!! Took time to talk before and after... when I decide to get ink I will go back there and will definitely ask for him!

Got a tattoo here the other day with two of my brothers, who had never had one before. We were referred to Trevor and gave him our idea for a tattoo to match/honor our grandmothers, who passed. He took that idea and updated it and put a personal spin on it for each of us, so they all are somewhat unique. They all look amazing and we all couldnt be happier with how they turned out. He was really cool dude and I cant thank him enough for all he did for us. Thanks man.

Beth is amazing and really knows what she is doing! Got a simple industrial piercing from her a few days ago. Very minimal pain, took only a couple minutes, and she was very thorough in explaining exactly what she was doing each step of the way. She took the time to explain every detail of the aftercare and gave me her card with many ways to contact her if anything went wrong which, so far, it hasnt. The redness and minor swelling has already gone down and its healing nicely. The guys at the front desk were a little stand-off ish and slightly intimidating but eh. Its a tattoo shop in KC. What can you really expect?All in all, awesome experience!

Incredibly unprofessional experience with the artist Kevin. I had over 15 sessions with him and he decided to quit working on my tattoos. Never got an explanation why. So now I have $1500 in unfinished tattoos.

Left several messages for the artist Chris to call me back to schedule a date to touch up the tattoo he did for me, never got a response. Very disappointed as I left him a generous tip after the initial tattoo appointment. I didn’t think it would be such a hassle to return somebody’s phone call, as I don’t want to drive 45 minutes out of my way to schedule something that could be done over the phone. I will be finding another tattoo shop to finish out my sleeve.

Rob was great on my first tat I was vary nervous and scared bc I didn’t know how it felt bc I have always been afraid of needles but with him I hardly felt anything at all . He was considerate of how I felt about the situation at hand and made me feel comfortable til or if he retires he’s the only one that with tat me up. But all the guys there seemed great and professional, Rob has a great hand and artistic creativity love the tat I got in memory of my late mother that lost her fight after 5yrs of cancer. Great great person Rob is definitely recommend him for ur first or more ink! Will definitely be back bc of him and now I’m addicted to being tat’d lol

Very clean! They are a little on the pricey side for piercings. I paid $40 for a nose ring. Other places they cost that amount I have been too, gave aftercare packages. But besides that I love my nose ring!

My friend came here to get a behind the ear tattoo. She had a specific size and everything picked out. The tattoo is much bigger than she wanted! She wants to get it removed now. I completely understand that with certain tattoos sizing is difficult because it can bleed together, but she also told me that the artists were intimidating and made her feel like she couldn’t be picky about what she wanted even though it was going on HER body permanently. Three stars because I don’t want to bring down the overall reviews, I believe the artists are good however a little more willingness to work with clients wants and needs should be worked on. :)

I called them on 3/25 at 5:41pm. I asked specifically for pricing on ear piercing. Was told $20 per lobe including the jewelry. Also asked if they would pierce a 10 year olds ears and they said yes. I asked to make sure there would be a piercer there on 3/26 as I planned on making a trip there that day. The person on the phone was very rude and kept huffing and puffing when I would ask another question. But I decided to still give them a chance.We walked in at 6:30 on 3/26 to get one ear pierced. Was told they would not do anyone under 15. I told the guy that I had just called yesterday and was told something different. He then says the piercer who can do someone under 15 isn’t there. So I asked what the difference in piercers was. He had no answer. And then didn’t even apologize for the incorrrect information I was given. We drove 3 hours to do this today. We are now driving back another 3 hours. I’m very upset that we waisted our money and time to go specifically to this place. I sent a message on Facebook to let them know how unprofessional they are and how much money I’m out now. No response. I’m sure I won’t get one.I will never be going back here. Your artist and piercers May be good but the lack of professionalism and rudeness of the front desk “staff” will shut you down.

Okay so I am a total weenie when it comes to needles and I went in for my 2nd holes and middle of my ear piercing (don’t know what that’s called) and I couldn’t recommend this place enough! She talked me through every step of the process and made me very comfortable! I feel horrible I don’t know her name, but she was amazing!

Cant say enough about this place! In town for the weekend and had a limited time frame since Im a truck driver, so had to do a walk-in. Went in the day before to ask about coming in the next day. Gal working reception was very helpful and spared nothing to help figure out when to come in the next day. The next morning I showed up at open and she happily talked with me about what my tattoo was and some general small talk. Then the other guy, i believe it was Blake, offered to get me a coffee from next door! I went along and Ill tell you what, he and that receptionist made me feel like a long time customer who knew them personally. Then there was Kevin, who didnmy tattoo. He did an outstanding job, and what was originally going to be a one time, i got a tattoo in kc, experience, has turned into Kevin and I already talking excitedly about what my next one by him will be. Im also hoping the artist who was kick-ass at customer service(blake i think) will do a couple for me. I cannot wait to come again!!!!

Only reason why it isnt one star is because the guy was nice. Came in for an ear piercing, re-peirce my eyebrow and snake bites. The only good thing he did was the earring. My eyebrow piercing was NOT secure and ripped out of my face on a pillow. The snake bites; one is halfway on my lip amd the other literally through the lip. Im not a piercier but i know snake bites go under the lip..

Called to just check on my appointment that was very special to me for my anniversary so it was a surprise for my fiance, the man who answered the phone sounded very busy which I understand I work with people on a daily basis. He however should not answer there phone, very rude ,would hardly let me get a word in, told me I had no appointment which I went in there a month in advance w 2 people that recommended them. Long story short he cursed me out when I stayed calm, until right when we hung up and he said good luck finding someone else pale...this was a tattoo representing the death of a loved one. I was in tears he ruined my gift. Ive never been to a big city so I thought this place would be awesome and take pride in doing art work like Miami ink. I thought wrong I guess. I would never recommend this place to anyone and my friends our no longer going there. I will never forget how rude this guy was.

I have had three tattoos done at Irezumi, including one very large, custom rib piece and I have always been impressed with their cleanliness and quality of work. Alex has done my tattoos but I am certain any artist would do a great job!

The staff here are friendly and funny. Im always greeted in a timely and fun manner. The building itself is historic and awesome and beautifully kept. Seen multiple tattooers there and theyre all amazing. Saint Dallas is my go to guy though. Theres an atm inside, and great jewelry for probably all piercings. They play good music, everyones joking around. Exactly the experience you want when you go into a tattoo shop.

I have been going to Irezumis since I was 18 and they there were off of westport rd. Steve Drew is the tattooist I always go to get my tattoos done. I trust him with the mindset, the needles, the experience, the judgement and everything. I will tell him what I want and like and let him free draw it. I love all of his work.I get all of my piercings done by D he is very nice especially when it comes to people being mervous, he has only messed up one in 6 years of doing my piercings and handled it very well. With a positive attitude. Love this place and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I first went to Irezumi a few weeks ago to get my tragus pierced. I was impressed, the workers were pretty nice and it seemed very clean. 5 days after I got my piercing, it fell out of my ear while I was asleep. I went back and the one guy piercer said I could come back and get it pierced again for free when it healed. I just went back yesterday and my experience honestly sucked. First, the guy at the front desk looked at someones ID and suggested that they look like they would get in a lot of trouble at airports. I am not sure why he felt it was appropriate to say this to someone, but the person was clearly uncomfortable. Then, after I got my tragus re-pierced the guy said I had to pay $20 for the jewelry that he made me use (I had the orginial jewelry with me and offered for him to use that). He also didnt say I was going to have to pay again and I wasnt expecting to have to pay because he previously said it would be free.

Getting ready to go back for another tat. My wife and I have been going here for 14 years getting all our piercings and tattoos. Always had a great experience, that is why I cant see the two girls that call them racist being true. My wife has never had a horrible or even close to bad experience with them because of her being black! Some people need to grow up.....Irezumi is a quality and professional business that I will continue to go too for years!

The worst experience I’ve ever encountered with people who call themselves “tattoo artists”. They are extremely rude and unprofessional and way overpriced for simple line work

I went to irezumi with my cousins and sister to get a very special and meaningful but simple tattoo (a cursive L with 2 small hearts) well, i should have known better than to come here first hand because they messed up my sisters rosary tattoo, but since i different guy was doing them, i thought id give them the benefit of the doubt. A couple things that turned me completely off...1. The artist we had was rude and acted like we were a HUGE inconvenience to him. He barely spoke to us, we didnt feel comfortable at all with him and we wanted to do this together and he completely disacknowledge this and we were split up.2. I wasnt so sure on their after care procedure. I had to ask for a bandage to go over it and he didnt even use any goo on mine afterwards. He didnt bandage anyone else either and did not provide us with any after care instructions.3. I get that tattoos can fade a little, but one of my hearts will have to be completely redone because no ink stayed in (i took proper care of it since my buddy is a tattoo artist and gave me proper care instructions) 1 of my cousins had to ask him to redo hers that day because it wasnt even finish, and my other cousin needs to have her whole L redone.4.The only time we ever held any type of conversation or our artist even showed any emotion was when we were about to pay and leave (how convinient right?)I waited to post this until my tattoo fully healed just to make sure i wasnt overreacting, but what should have been a fun, meaningful afternoon turned into an awkward and unsatisfactory afternoon with a mediocre tattoo that needs touched up already.

The only positive thing about my experience at Irezumi is that it led me to Mikey Ruck at Catalyst in Independence- who fixed my botched tattoos I received at Irezumi. Mikey at Catalyst gave a completely different tattoo experience than I received here. He, and everyone at his shop, are extremely friendly and non judgmental. He made what was a really bad experience and a possible life long mistake into tattoos that I now love! I will not be going back to Irezumi Body Art. But again, the silver lining is that it led me to find a tattoo artist I plan to have for life!

I chose this place because my best friend has gotten 4 tattoos here and I have one. It was a spur of the moment tattoo as well because she had just lost her mother. When we arrived Dallas was very pleasant and had good suggestive sales ideas. but another gentalman I believe his name was Nathan seemed like he didnt want to be there. So the first friend went to get her tattoo started and my other friend went to watch. She had asked Nathan a few questions and he seemed like he didnt want to answer them when my friend ask was there a problem asking questions he toldd her she asked too many. We then asked Dallas if there was someone we could complain to he said his boss but all he would do was tell him not to say things like that. So my friend and I were in conversation when Dallas rudely interrupted saying we not coorperate ans we do what the hell we want. As the conversation went on our voices escalated. Steve another tattoo artist who was working upstairs came to see what was going on. He began to call us out our names and threated to call the police and acting very hostile so naturally I go in to protection mode. All of this could have simply been solved in a professional manner by giving us the name of the owner sonwe could express our feelings about the treatment we received. But I guess since its a tattoo shop its get what tou get. NOT. Ill just choose another place that has better customer service. Oh and to top it all off maybe things would have went better if the peicer whi was suppose to be still working wouldnt have left early with another tattoo artist who was currently getting off. It was three of us but only one person working because another employee chose to leave early. And Dallas was not happy about that. That could have been money in his pocket.

The energy here is unmatched and their work is even better. I recently got my finger tattoos done by Jacob, and theyre so dope! I couldnt be happier. 10/10 would recommend

I came here with a friend to get her a tattoo. The guy at the front desk told me I acted like I was better than everyone else because I had no tattoos/piercings (I do, and I got it there, a year ago) and then called me a b*tch. Was also really rude when my friend called over the phone. Went to another place down the road and they were friendly.

I met with Courtis for a navel piercing @ Irezumis. He was super kind, respectful and informative. I was a little nervous but he made the process quick and painless. Not to mention I was in and out within 20 minutes. Would recommend 👌

I loved this place just went to go get an industrial piercing by cordis made me feel very comfortable omg nicest people ever I would honestly recommend them to anyone it was fast, didnt have to wait for anything. I was so scared coming in but they made me feel so welcomed hands down the best place to go to.

Absolutely love this place! I have received a nostril pierce (and repierce bc of my clumsiness) among with a daith piercing from Cordis. He is so informative and kind about every process. I have recommended this place so much and can’t wait to go back for future piercings!

You guys need to update your website. I am a minor and recently tried getting my tongue pierced but couldnt because it is a functional piercing. Also, on your website it states that a minor can not get a tattoo but I was told at the actual shop that I am able to receive a tattoo, but no tongue piercing.

Wasted 5 hours sitting there when they told me Jesus would help me. Some random drunk guy wouldnt leave me alone so I tried to get him to be quiet so he wouldnt bother other people and Jesus looked right at me and the guy at the front desk even told him I have waited for awhile. He came downstairs said he was leaving and left. This place was a 5 star before but this has made me never want to come back. You have officially lost a customer

Devin walked me through every step of my cartilage piercings and made sure I was doing okay the entire time. She was wonderful, would definitely recommend.

To celebrate fifteen pounds lost as well as a number of other victories and major positive changes in my life, I decided to get my nose pierced. I am the biggest chicken on the planet! But I thought NO Im going to do it. Devin (hope thats spelled corretly) was so patient,understanding,and kind. She walked me through the whole thing by explaining as she was doing it, exactly what was happening. Before I knew it, I had a really cool nose ring. Thanks to Devin and Irezumi. Who knows? I just might decide to get a tattoo!

Was told they just take walk-ins on Sundays and they have a lot of workers on Sunday. Get there on a Sunday and they only have two tattooist working and the wait would be a few hours if they could do it at all. Since I drove a ways to get there was not real pleased about it.Other than that it was fine.

I’ve gotten 3 tattoos all by Trevor Roque and he does a phenomenal job everytime. he really makes it a good fun experience and does great work. definitely recommend him!

My artist was great and easy to work with. Make sure to set up things in person as calling or electronic communication is not ideal for these situations. The shop is clean and cool!

The guy manning the front desk and phone was so rude and obnoxious that I just left. On top of being just an unpleasant and unhelpful customer service person he also volunteered his off the wall opinions about a variety of unconnected things, hinting at the chaotic mind lurking beneath.Topics included:Drugs he did in the 80s.A recent flat earthers convention that came to the conclusion that Australia doesnt exist, as well as a long story about a flat earther that used to work there.How nobody should go to Mexico for a while because all the rich Mexicans were in Russia so you were sure to get abducted.Side note: they only take cash but the vending machine takes cards. What.The piercers and artists may be fine but Im just going to follow recommendations and go to Supernatural instead.

Absolutely loved my tat. I have had three by Steve Drew, and they all were awesome. He was very professional, and the whole place was spotless and classy.

Went to get a tattoo today with Jesus and he was fabulous!! Drew up a split piece front and back over the shoulder and i couldnt have asked for anything better. He was professional and great at what he does. I will be back to add on to this piece. Thank you!

I got a few piercings here and they did a good job! I felt abit rushed by one of the piercers the last time though. Other than that they did a pretty good job!

OK number one the person that gave me the tattoo was really good really cool and a lot of fun gave me a tattoo better than I thought it would be the only problem I had was the person that was supposed to give me the tattoo got sick and was replaced and that person tried to make me pay $50 more for the tattoo that I was getting but other than that it was perfect

Absolute joke of a shop. Wouldnt return email or call during business hours to see if they have time for a walk in. I contacted 3 days prior to my visit and showed up just to get turned away, because they are booked. There are better shops within a 10 minute drive

Got both of my piercings there: nostril and nose. I also took the plunge and got a tattoo there as well. Artist was amazing and very kind.

Extremely rude! My friends and I came in an hour and a half before the closed and had schedualed an appointment but when we got there they refused to help us and claimed they had another customer. But no one else was there.. they were just lazy and didn’t want to do it.

I got my first tattoo here. I love it. But the guy who did it was acting like he didnt even care. He was very unprofessional. I mean this is your job and what you are doing is something they carry for a lifetime you dont have to be an ass about it.

This place is horrible. Went in to inquire about a small shoulder tattoo and I was told it would cost $150...That is their shop minimum. I know he was lying because I know people that have gotten tattoos from them and they did not pay that much. I really feel that they just did not want to tattoo my family and I. They were rude and Im very glad I did not give my money to this horrible establishment. The people there look very sketchy and low class as well.

The employee who answered the phone was able to answer my question and give me additional advice on how to solve a problem I had. He was also talking to another person while talking to me, which was a bit distracting but, he was friendly and helpful.
