Highly Recommend Black Swan Tattoo!!! One thing about me is that I’m very picky when it comes to art that’s permanent on my body. I’ve done research for about a month and I came across Eli who works at Black Swan. I had no doubts about him the second I saw his art work. Once he walked through the door the day of my appointment, it was nothing but good vibes and laughter. Eli will make you feel confident about your tattoo and will make your session worth it. He’s working on a big piece for me which is a 2 session piece. My first session was only 4 hours but he made it enjoyable! Let me add his lines are fantastic!!!!!

Went for a walk-in appointment. Called ahead about 20 minutes before to make sure they had availability, and they could not have been sweeter on the phone. Very inviting. When I arrived with my friends all the artists were extremely friendly and welcoming. Great conversation and made me feel like my small little tattoo was still cool lol. Kris was fabulous. I really enjoyed my experience and I could not be happier with my tattoo! Highly recommend, insanely well-priced as well!!

Man we came for a tattoo & left with more than that. So much love for this place. Faith is one of the most attentive artist I’ve ever experienced. The care/ interest Faith showed in doing my tattoo meant so much, she did everything to make sure the vision came to life. If she wasn’t so booked & busy I’d be back tomorrow. We had a great experience at Black Swan. Kori was extremely professional and treated my daughter with the respect of any adult who would come in for a piercing. My daughter changed her mind halfway through the process and Kori let her feel comfortable in making her own decisions. Would highly recommend Black Swan!

My sister and I had an appointment with Cory for matching pieces. The shop is beautiful and clean. There was plenty of shop banter between the artists, which I really enjoyed. They have a coffee bar and sparking water available for those who want it which was extremely convenient. There is also a gas station next to them which allowed me to grab snacks when we needed them. I decided to roll the dice for a $100 tattoo from a book they have while I waited for my sister and Phil did an awesome job on that piece. We cannot wait to book our next tattoos at Black Swan Tattoo!

Phil at Black Swan has done more tattoos for me than I can count. He and the entire shop are always respectful and do consistent, excellent work. My wife and I are repeat customers for a reason! Whenever someone asks for a tattoo shop suggestion, Black Swan is always my response.

I recently got a tattoo done with Phil. It turned out amazing its better than I thought it was going to be. The whole shop is clean and organized and everyone working there is great had me cracking up the entire time. If your in the market to get a tattoo and you want to ensure it comes out right this is the place to go.

I had my tattoo done by Phil. It was a cover up on my right arm. I gave him my idea and he did a great job bringing to reality. Hes an awesome artist. I have received nothing but compliments since. The whole process from inception to finish was awesome and prices are what we expected. They are easy to talk to which makes it easy when you have to spend 3 hours in the chair. I am already thinking of what to do on the other arm. Thanks Phil.

Kris did an awesome job on my first tattoo! I walked in about 40 minutes before the shop closed and he wrote up exactly what I wanted. He delivered a great tattoo with clean lines that I will enjoy for years to come. I will definitely be back for a second!

Black Swan Tattoo was amazing. I came in and was immediately greeted and was set up with Chad. Chad took my idea and made it better. We set up a time for the work to be done. I came in the next day Chad was ready to do business. He was very friendly along with all the staff and took extra time and care to clean and prep his station. The final product was more than I imagined and will continue to come to Black Swan Tattoo and see Chad.

I dealt with Mike. At first he was really responsive and helpful, but after two sessions with him he just kept blowing me off when I tried to get more work done. I didn’t sit well on my second session with him due to just getting over being sick (and probably because I’m not as tough as I thought I was), but if he didn’t want to work with me anymore because of that (or any other reason) he could’ve just said it…he didn’t/hasn’t. The tattoos he did for me turned out fine, they were pretty simple. Although I do feel like he was heavy handed. All in all, very nice guy, but just extremely poor at being responsive to people that want to work with him.

Wow, 10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting a tattoo from professionals who are extremely clean, sanitary and know what they are doing.

Great experience at Black Swan Tattoo with Mike Garner for my first tattoo. The drive to Lakeland was close to 2 hours for us and it was every bit worth it. I cant say enough good things about Mike. Communication was clear from start to finish about the process and pricing, the shop and his work station were very clean, he made me feel comfortable, and paid attention to every meticulous detail from the reference. Above all, Mike was super nice and I appreciate all the extra time he took to get the transfer just right and to look over the reference during tattooing. He applied a clear protective patch (seen in pic) when he was done and gave me another patch and detailed care instructions to go. If youre looking for a great tattooer to do a detailed black fine line tattoo, Mikes your guy. But check out the Black Swan Tattoo website and the portfolios, and youll see Mike and the other artists do great work in other styles as well.

Came in on New Years because I woke up deciding that I was going to finally get my ears pierced. They fit me in in-between clients and were very welcoming to a first timer like myself. Kori was the one who took me in and explained the whole process. She was very professional and made sure that I was comfortable the whole time. They do the piercings by hand, and she took the time to make sure the placement for the holes were perfect before placing the needle through. We probably adjusted the marker for about an hour (because of me) before finally creating the holes, and the whole time Kori never gave of the feeling that she was in a rush, annoyed, or bothered by my requests to move the hole a millimeter to the left lol. In fact she emphasized how important it was to make sure I was happy with the placement, even after we moved the marker so many times. They understand that these modifications are permanently on your body, and take the time to make sure everything is done perfectly to the customers liking. The process was pretty much pain free due to Koris expertise and I couldnt be happier. I would definitely recommend this place to others looking to get a piercing, and will probably get my first tattoo done here as well. Kori and the Black Swan team are awesome!

Ive had work done by both Cory and Phil and every time has been a pleasant experience! I also got my nose pierced here, which was a quick and seamless process. Everyone at the shop seems nice and the shop itself provides a nice, comfortable environment. Would definitely recommend.

I absolutely could not be more pleased with this tattoo shop. Ive had five experiences over the course of a year and they have all been fantastic and I refuse to go anywhere else other than Black Swan.Jake has done an amazing job with my belly button piercing, my industrial, and my nipple piercings. He was very professional when he was piercing my nipples. He is very confident in what he does and very, VERY clean. I think thats so important for a piercer.Phil did my first tattoo and I felt like he was patient when I was panicking about it. He is very fast at it (but definitely not lacking in skill). It was over before I knew it and I love my tattoo.Today I had Cory for my second tattoo, and while it took longer than the first, it still wasnt as long as he estimated and it turned out fantastic. I love all of my tattoos so far and cant wait to go back for more!All of their tattoo artists are professional and make you feel at ease. I would absolutely recommend Black Swan to anyone looking for a great quality tattoo.

Black Swan is an amazing shop with stellar artists. It has a great aesthetic inside which makes you feel comfortable and the shop is even wheelchair accessible! Everyone is very personable and friendly.I am so lucky and happy to have found Cory Craft. He has done four of my tattoos so far and his work is PERFECT. I always get compliments on my tattoos wherever I go and Im always wanting more tattoos from him!

This is one of the cleanest tattoo shops I’ve been in. Kris Taylor did my tattoo and his work is incredible. I have some pretty small detail and all the lines are so fine and sharp. I get complimented on how well the tattoo was done, not just the tattoo itself. I will definitely be going back there to get more work done in the future. The environment was very welcoming and friendly.

Phil is amazing! He was helpful not only with pinpointing and detailing what I already wanted but was also upfront with pricing and his work is amazing. He’s easy to talk to just like the rest of the artists and the receptionist. They make you feel like family even for the hour(s) you’re in there. Definitely recommend for any tattoo or piercing needs.

Hands down the best tattooing experience that you can have in Lakeland. I’ve had the pleasure of being tattooed by both Cory Craft and Phil Snyder several times and there’s no one else that I trust more to bring alive the tattoos I incision. The shop itself is extremely well kept and maintained, there’s plenty of area for customers to relax and lounge while they wait for their appointment and the overall experience is top notch. All of the artists at Black Swan are excellent at their craft, and they can all tattoo a multitude of tattoo styles that will fit your needs.Really can’t recommend this place enough.

I am 32 now, I got a Tattoo here when i was 19. And a little over a year ago, I went and got my nose pierced. They have always been super nice and very helpful. Prices are great for everything they do. They do great work. The Tattoo Shoppe is always clean and their tools are always new and clean. Check them out. You wont be disappointed.

My first visit to Black Swan was 8 years ago and there’s a huge reason why I was back recently. They are a professional, clean, organized shop with very talented artists. We walked in to get matching tattoos. Cory Craft did mine and I am very happy with the result. My two friends were also really pleased with their tattoos also. I’ll be back for sure.

I did my research, and found Cory on instagram and absolutely loved his work. I knew i wanted something Traditional American. I contacted Cory via email about getting a tattoo, he responded promptly. Within a couple of days he had it drawn up, the drawing was exactly what I wanted, amazing! This was my first tattoo, and I felt very welcome and relaxed. The shop is very clean, and Cory explained everything he was doing, which is very comforting being my first tattoo. I did make a tiny request with adding something last minute, and he accommodated me happily. Which I really appreciated. I am so very happy with my tattoo, and experience, it’s absolutely perfect! I will definitely be making another appointment soon!

I’ve gone to Kris for 3 years now. There’s a reason I keep going back. Kris is extremely talented, kind, & professional. He’s amazing at fine lines, black ink, and color too. I’ll keep going to him until either he retires or I decide I’m done, whichever comes first. 😂 Also, every friend I’ve recommended him to also love the ink he did for them.Although I’ve only had pieces done by Kris, I’ve seen the other artists’ works; everyone is very skilled and professional.Kori’s done two ear piercings for me (helix & forward helix); both have been awesome. She’s done a conch piercing for one friend and a nose piercing for another. All have turned out really well. She’s who I’ll go back to if I want more.

I saw Cory’s work on Instagram and had to have some. I live in Connecticut but frequently travel to the area. I was a little worried that an appointment wasn’t able to be coordinated being so far away. Cory made it happen for me. I told him what I wanted, and he assured me that he’d draw it up and have it ready when I arrived. I got in, was blown away by the drawing, and he worked fast at getting it done. My wife and I loved the piece so much, she wanted one, and Cory was more than accommodating. We all took a lunch break, and when we got back to the shop, he already had her tattoo drawn up. Hers came out beautiful as well. I’m hoping to stop in every time I visit. The whole staff was welcoming and friendly. I witnessed another artist, (Phil I believe) prepping a client for her first tattoo, and his personality and humor seemed like a perfect way to ease the clients nerves. I absolutely loved Phil!!!!! I took foot prints of my sons and I told him what I wanted and he did it better than I could imagine and put his own twist on it. He worked with me. I took my daughter here to have her ears pierced - its her birthday and shes turning six. Jake was our piercer and I cannot say enough good things about how awesome he was. He was unbelievably patient and kind with my daughter who, despite wanting to get her ears pierced, took quite some time to work up the courage once we were there. He really cared that she understood what she was doing to her body, was really patient and respectful.Afterward, shes overjoyed and super confident about her bravery. She even wanted to take a photo with Jake the piercer so she could keep it. :) I highly recommend Black Swan, and Jake for piercings!

I had a tattoo done here, by Jorge Rivera, and I have absolutely no complaints! Jorge did amazing, and it was worth every penny. I had a rather big piece done, which he stayed after hours for, so saying he goes beyond expectations is an understatement. Definitely going back again! Other staff was just as great, very informative, welcoming, and chill.

Just stopped in to get a couple of price estimates for 2 tattoos. Had gotten previously here by Phil Snyder, and hes a fantastic tattoo artist, great personality. He took what I wanted and made it reality. Great shop, lots of fantastic, talented tattoo artists under one roof.

So i have been skeptical on going to get a tattoo for a while now, but coming here, Im so glad i finally went. Its not the experience i expected at all. The environment is very calm and you feel relaxed. the staff is great at keeping you comfortable, and theyre very straight forward in telling you what to do as far as aftercare and as far as quality goes, you get what you paid for. I sat down with Kris Taylor and i had a fantastic experience and will definitely be returning here again. The layout of the shop is very organized and clean. This visit definitely exceeded any expectations Ive ever had. Ill definitely be returning here again.

Kris was absolutely amazing. Communication before the appointment was stellar considering I live down in St. Pete and we had to do all prior communication via email/my boyfriend who’s local. There was even a minor booking issue that was resolved flawlessly. I was incredibly anxious before going in and honestly the atmosphere of the shop and Kris’ demeanor made me feel at home and I relaxed quickly. Banter around the shop isn’t done around you, all the artists include you. My service dog was also welcomed with open arms (another thing I was anxious about). I would 1,000% recommend Black Swan and Kris Taylor. My work is stunning and I will definitely be back.

My girlfriend and I decided to get our first tattoos and after researching many places we ended up at The Black Swan. We are so happy we did. Jake( who has since moved) and Phil are amazing!! They explain everything in a clear concise way and their suggestions always enhance the original idea. The place is clean all safety measures are considered. Phil is the man!! Do not waste your time with amateurs. Go to the Black Swan and ask for Phil. You wont be sorry!!!

I had a appointment there on a Saturday. Had previously emailed and spoke with the artist about a price range and what I wanted. Just adding onto a tattoo I already had and some color to it. He only sat up for black and gray and I did not address as I had already changed my mind before the appointment even though he didnt not ask me about this that day. He drew the deigns on,I agreed to it and he started working. I was and am happy with the tattoo design.The reason I am leaving only one star and will never go back or recommend this artist or shop is because the artist Kris has a large swastka on his forearm. I did not notice this until my tattoo was almost finished. I felt very uncomfortable after noticing this. I also feel he over charged for the tattoo. He added the clouds and rain and charged me $250. I did not question it due to the uncomfortableness from his tattoo,the shock of the price and just overall anxiety and of that moment. I am mad at myself for not addressing the issue in the moment but I can not change that now. He came highly recommended from a friend who was very upset when I informed her if this. She was shocked and never angry also. I felt I just share story as I know others would not be okay with supporting someone like that.

Went here with my friend to get tattoos last week. Phil greeted us and took our ideas down as well as giving us advice as to what would look good. Everyone there was super friendly and the environment there was so clean! Phil did an amazing job on my tattoo. Will be back for my next piece!

Fantastic tattoo shop, I received my second tattoo from this shop and loved it! Kris was my tattoo artist I changed up a few things last second but it did not bother him he worked with me until I was confident with what I wanted. Great communication back and fourth via email before the day of appointment. 5 stars all day, I will most definitely be coming back to this shop and having Kris tattoo me again.

This place is really chill with really great artists. Not only are they good at what they do, but Phil was able to put together an idea I had on the first try. It was exactly what I had in my head! He also added a bird to an older tattoo I had representing my kids (we adopted after I originally got the tattoo) for free at the end of my appointment. This is definitely our new shop.

Ive taken my daughter for 3 piercings, and Ive gotten 2 simple tattoos. The piercings were all done quickly, and for a reasonable price. Jake is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful for aftercare. Cory did both of my tattoos exactly as I wanted and very precisely which is important since theyre symbols on my wrists. He also advised me against getting a tattoo I thought I wanted since in the long run, it wouldve looked bad. That says a lot when a business turns money away for the better of a customer. I wont go anywhere else and would recommend this place to my friends.

Recently went to Black Swan Tatoo and I was very impressed. I had a fairly complex armband done and Phil really took the time to get it perfect. I also had a design on my fore arm and he scaled it up and down so that it was the right size for me. The shop is clean and the prices are reasonable. I was happy enough to book another appointment next week.

Mike was my tattoo artist at Black Swan. The shop was clean, and all the guys were friendly. Mike made my friend and I very comfortable and had great customer service in which Ive never seen in previous shops. I have had many compliments on the line work and color of my tattoo. His color hasnt faded AT ALL. I couldnt be happier with it. Ive recommended him to many friends and co workers who have also visited him for tattoos and theirs came out great as well! I will definitely be coming back to Black Swan to see Mike. Hes a great asset to the shop. Excellent!

Got my first tattoo here earlier today. Jake drew it up and made sure i was happy with the design, he even repositioned it multiple times until i was happy with the placement. He was very nice and chill and made it easy for me to calm my nerves. He did an amazing job and i will definitely be returning! So far Ive gotten both of my nipples, second eyebrow, and nose pierced, and three tattoos done from this location. Every time I have been in this location, its been a great, clean, fun environment. I love that they have specials that go on year round, and it keeps my friends and I coming back to this location for more! They have real talented artists here, and not just people who call themselves one. I have always had wonderful experiences at this location. I will drive out of my way to come back to this location, every time! Would highly recommend to anyone, and definitely coming back for all my future wants, and needs! :)

Such a great experience here! Seeing as this was my first tattoo, I felt very comfortable talking to the staff and I was able to get exactly what I wanted. They were all very welcoming and friendly. The actual tattooing went extremely well and I was more than satisfied with the results.

Amazing experience with Kori getting my septum pierced! Everything was super clean and she was very careful at cleaning and keeping sanitary with the process. I was walked through everything and she was so happy to give me any answers i needed to any question. Absolutely would get more piercings here with her!

Kris did my sons birthday on my shoulder today, quick, easy, and painless. I was super impressed by Jake though. He did a right conch piercing on me, and a transverse lobe through eyelet on the left. He had never done this piercing, but remained confident, and I could tell he was stoked to do a piercing hed never done. He made me feel comfortable, I would recommend him to anyone, and I will most definitely be going back to him for all of my future piercings.

Great and very clean place. I got my first tattoos there a yr ago when they had their Valentines Day special. They were awesome at getting me in quickly and did a great job of working with me on a certain design I wanted. I have also gotten piercings there and never have had a problem. Working on a design to go back for a couple more tattoos and I cant wait cause I know I can get a great job done here.

My boyfriend and I decided to get a couple of tattoos. We read different reviews and decide to go to Black Swan. My boyfriend had Phil, he did amazing job. I definitely would recommend him. I had Jake and he also did an awesome job. I would recommend him but he decided to move. I would choose to go to Phil if I wanted another Tattoo. If you are in the market to get a tattoo Black Swan is the place to go and Phil is the man for you.

I got a small tattoo (3 words) by my ankle here the other day. My best friend and I walked in with no appointment, it was a spur of the moment thing, and were greeted when we walked in. The next guy up (Jake Fuller) was eager to help us. He was knowledgeable about our placements and seem to give us “a heads up” about where I originally chose to put mine which lead me to change it after considering his advice. We showed up the font we chose and he said he would do it but again gave us a heads up that the specific font may change over time as the ink spreads. We asked what kind of font would look the best over time and he showed us what to look for. We chose what we wanted while also factoring in his advice once again. My friend went first and he was efficient and clean. Cleaned down the chair and everything he touched for my turn. He helped us make sure the stencil was in the right spot and what looked best with our leg shape versus slapping it on and waiting for us to okay it. The lines are super precise and clean. He did a fantastic job all around helping us choose something that we’d love. Definitely will be going back!

Great shop! Mike is very helpful and detailed. Laid back but professional and all the artists are very dedicated to creating a piece youll love.

My family and I have been coming to Black Swan for years now. Ive had a total of 7 different piercings, and watched my mother and siblings all get holes poked in their ears and nose. Every single time the procedure was explained very clearly and detailed. Between each piercing the room, chair and tools all cleaned, sanitized and changed. There is no one else we trust to be so thorough, precious and accomplished in their profession. Kori is beyond excellent in her career. Not only are we addicted to piercings, but also to Kori. Kori not only has my recommendation, but the recommendation of countless others.

I have gotten all of my tattoos done by Phil! He’s the best I have 7 tattoos and I get compliments on my visible tattoos all the time. I can’t see myself go anywhere else for my tattoos. Corey did a tattoo for me yesterday, and several for my daughter in the past. Phil has done one for me also. Both are fantastic artists. I absolutely couldnt have asked for better quality or price for what i received. I cant wait for the next one! Super professional, even for discreet work.

I had a pretty sloppy tattoo on my right hip side area. Phil did a great job at doing what he could with it. I know tatting me in that area wasnt easy but Phil made it seem as if it was easy. Thank you for the awesome tattoo Phil. The atmosphere was very fun. The fact that Phil showed me ideas and discussed what would look best made me comfortable. I will go back and recommend Black Swan Tattoo to anyone.

I recently got my first tattoo at Black Swan from Kris. He is a phenomenal artist and was a great help, especially for a first time tattoo. Not only was Kris awesome during the tattoo but he quickly responded to all of my after care questions I had. Kris and all of the artists at Black Swan are awesome and I will certainly be going back to them for more work soon!

I was tattooed by Jorge Rivera, he did a fantastic job and was extremely personable and easy to get along with (as were the rest of the staff), pricing was fair, and they are up to date with the latest and greatest in tattooing! An incredible tattoo experience start to finish! I had seen Corys work on Instagram and wanted a tattoo from him before my family left Florida. He was extremely prompt in returning my emails and set my appointment as soon as possible, pre-tattoo communication was on point! The staff at Black Swan are all very nice and helpful. Phil did a phenomenal job on my tattoo. I came to him for a cover-up in an area thats very restrictive and hard to work with. He took my idea and made it happen beautifully!

Had a great experience with Cory from start to finish. He was quick to respond and answered my questions right away. After our initial consult I had no idea what he would come up with for the actual appointment, but he was truly able to take my vision and turn it into a beautiful peace of work. Phil is great! We came in yesterday we had an idea and he drew up mine and my grandpas tattoo. He was fast but most importantly it was CLEAN!!!! Theyre super friendly! I will always use him! Im not from here but come down once a year so Ill make that part of my yearly visit!!

Ive been in this shop twice despite living within walking distance for years(I simply have a more preferred shop, nothing personal). My first time I got a Harry Potter tattoo for Friday the 13th which I absolutely love and more recently I got a new piercing. This shop is very clean, friendly and personable. Even during the Friday the 13th sale that they had going I didnt feel resented, I didnt get an ounce of attitude, if my artist(whose name I dont remember) was tired by the time he did mine I had no idea. It was a bit of a wait(to be expected) but I was out in under 10 minutes. For my piercing it was Jake who did it who was very gentle(with the exception of sticking a needle through my skin) and answered all my questions and those of my friend, who has the same piercing. I definitely like this shop.

Phil Snyder was absolutely amazing! I would recommend him in a heart beat to anyone looking for a tattoo. He was great at taking my vision and bringing it to life through his artwork. Hands down the best tattoo artist I’ve ever come across!

My wife and I were looking for a place and one of the guys at the gym walked by and we noticed his tattoos and I told my wife “I bet they’re Black Swan”. when we asked where he got them he said he actually worked there. We’ve been going ever since, we’ve gotten a few and continuously planning our next. All are great artist and all do amazing work. Highly recommendable.

Amazing artwork and extremely helpful. Walked in with a nugget of an idea as to what I wanted to get done. Brainstormed and gave my tattoo artist an idea of what to work with. He went to the back sketched the most amazing tattoo and inked me up in 45 minutes. I was in and out of there within 2 hours as a walk in and am extremely happy with the results. I don’t see myself getting tattoos anywhere but here in the future.

The staff at Black Swan are always friendly and helpful. Phil did a wonderful job on a tattoo I got in honor of my late mother. He added the finishing touches that made the tattoo even more special. I will be back soon.

Recently moved to Lakeland and was looking to get my nose pierced. I’ve had it before but it closed up. There was no/little scar tissue and it healed nicely so their piercer Kori was able to re pierce through in the same spot. She was nice, professional, and fast. We were a walk in and had no wait time. It cost $50 including jewelry which is medical grade and internally threaded. She also changed out my friend’s jewelry who did not want to do it for herself the first time, and was unhappy with her current corkscrew style nose jewelry. Kori did that for $10, the price of the jewelry itself. I cannot personally vouch for their tattoos but have many friends who have gotten tattoos done there.Though it is not the only piercing and tattoo shop in Lakeland I like, I will definitely consider going back to Black Swan in the future. Great customer service, professional, clean, and affordable. Do your research before getting a new piercing or tattoo somewhere that is not clean, safe, or certified.

My fiancé needed some cover up work done. We went to two other tattoo shops in the area. At the first one, the girl wasnt sure if it could be done but wanted a deposit to do it and the guy there was rude. The next shop, the guys were real nice, but also didnt think it could be done, although they came up with some suggestions, but were still pretty uncertain. Then we went to Black Swan. The first guy that came out suggested Phil. He came out, looked at it and said he could do it. He took a picture and we put down a deposit and called him a few days later and set up the appointment. The shop is very clean and comfortable. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Phil was polite, professional, explaining everything and making sure the design was ok. He took his time and was very detail oriented. The finished product was great. We were both very pleased.

I am thoroughly impressed with Black Swan. Theyre clean, great environment, and the girl who did my septum piercing was very kind. She let me know everything she was doing before she did it and was very laid back. 10/10, definitely worth the $60.

All my little girl wanted for her 14th birthday was to have her septum pierced. After EXHAUSTIVE research, (shes a very thorough child!!) and thoroughly exhausting me talking about it, she started to get cold feet and freak out a bit in the waiting area.Her artist was sweet and reassuring, and answered all her questions without being condescending.It was a great experience!! Kris is so talented! He’s really lighthanded and very detail oriented. The entire time I was there he made me feel comfortable. I went into it wanting one small tattoo and ended up getting two done in the same day. Really cool guy and tattoo shop.

Got my first tattoo and nose pierced during my one visit. It took me years of visits to finally take the plunge. My nose piercing procedure was thoroughly explained and she took great Care to walk me through each part of the process, which was very quick. My tattoo was far less painful an experience than I’d worked up in my mind. After Sharing my positive Experience on fb, I already have a Friend who wants me to accompany her for a nose piercing! Just got pierced by Kori and it was the best piercing experience I’ve had in a long time. She was very professional and informative. She took her time to explain what was going on but was efficient and quick when it came time to do the actual piercing. I would definitely recommend her.

Came into the shop as a walk in, was greeted by Corey who I believe is the owner and also the artist who drew up my tattoo and did a phenomenal job putting in on my chest. Jorge is my go to for art. His line work is super fresh and and in my opinion, shades like no other. Great attitude as well, makes sitting in the chair for any length of time a great experience. My Mother her friend and myself called and asked if they had time for 3 simple tattoos on 5/10/17 and were told we could get them done. Upon going in we talked with the artists there and described what we wanted.(Props to the artist that had to draw the backside of an elephant haha)I myself got a D20(20 sided dice) tattoo on my upper arm from Kris, I told him it was my first tattoo and I wanted something simple that I could add to later if I decided I could handle getting another tattoo. He reassured me and quickly got started. I think it was a total of 35 minutes and my tattoo was done.So major thumbs to all the artists that helped us out that day. I would most definitely recommend this place!

I have been to Black Swan twice. I like the over-all look and feel of the place and facilities. The price and work i received was very fair. My first visit was a cover-up and I went in for the initial consultation to discuss possibilities, and I paid the $20 drawers fee and left feeling confident. However the artist dropped the ball and failed to get back to me. I had to keep on his heels. At the end of the day when all was said and done, I left with a great cover-up. It was not the idea that I went in for, not remotely close. I am happy with it though.

Awesome Staff! Went to Jake after going to another local shop and receiving rude service right when we walked through the door. Not only was Jake super friendly right when we walked in but he tattooed my daughter and myself. The shop is super clean and sterile. We loved Jake so much I returned for him to do more work. Went in for a first tattoo with a amazing guest artist Jorge. Dude is so chill and knowledgeable and same for any of the guys in the shop. Great vibes and great art all around!

My girlfriend got her ear pierced here and it quickly became badly infected. We had to remove the piercing entirely for it to heal which was a painful process. Also, I guess the $50 was just a waste. She has the same location pierced on her other ear from a prior time and different shop. That piercing had no complications. I suspect that the difference in outcome has to do with the difference in the shop. I strongly advise that people avoid this shop.

I absolutely loved this place! I got my nose piercing, cartilage, and first tattoo here! For my nose and cartilage I had Cory and for my tattoo I had Kris Taylor. This place was so clean and they made sure I felt comfortable the whole time! Love this place!

I have to say that I felt extremely comfortable and the art is absolutely amazing.

Took my sister here to get her nose pierced. Very friendly front desk staff. Extremely clean and sterile. The piercer was experienced, patient and explained all the after care. He must have changed his gloves 3-4 times and everything came out of a sealed package. The nose piercing was $40 with the cost of jewelry.

He was a nice guy. But I couldnt even get pass the emailing process! It was like playing emailing tag. Ill get 1 reply once a day or every 2 days just going over what I want and price. This lasted for a week!(still continuing). Tried first to walk in but door was locked and sign said to contact an artist first via email which sucked. Ended up going to another place, walked in, went over what I want, talked budget, gave reference photos, filled out paper, scheduled tattoo, and left deposit.ALL IN ONE DAY

Kris did my tattoo last year. I gave an exact picture of the text I wanted. Tattoo looks thick and squished together, and the A Is probably the worst part. Oh and I super loved the surprise $26 admin fee at the end of my tattoo. $126 for a tattoo that needed to be fixed, thanks so much. Google won’t let me add an image.Shops clean that’s the most positive thing I can say.

By chance on last years Friday the 13th day I met Cory, owner and artist at Black Swan South . Even though the shop was packed, he was professional and concise. The shop was very clean and no one was allowed in the tattoo area unless you were getting ink. I knew he was the artist for me. I choose him for a half sleeve in remembrance for my son that killed him last year. It was a Nintendo piece that we are still working on. Everyone loves the work and is impressed with the smooth, vibrant work. Everytime I look at it, I know my son is smiling, and so am I. Im very thankful for him and the awesome shop. He is my tattoo guy for life! (sorry Cory your stuck with me!) everyone check out this shop!

I came in to get a zombie duck tattoo. Kris Taylor did a awesome job. I just did a walk in for a tattoo. He was prepared and put his own twist on the piece. I love his artwork. I do recommend him.

I first went in to Black swan because I was referred to an artist there by another artist at the Southside location to get a tattoo covered. I was told to ask for “Mike B.” and he would hook me up.. Well he did such a good job on the cover up (couldn’t even see any signs of the previous and dated tat) that a week after getting several compliments on the new ink I asked Mike to do something to cover my other dated tat on my other arm.. He did and through the last year I have ended up going back several times and as a result getting a full sleeve on one arm and he is finishing up my other sleeve soon. He is the only guy I trust to do any of my tattoos.. I highly recommend him to anyone that wants original art that is clean and gets attention!

I went in to Black Swan for the first time two years ago. I was there getting a liver cancer ribbon in honor of my mother-in-law, also my best friend of 10 1/2 years. The ribbon turned out amazing and was exactly what I expected. The best thing was more then I was in there getting honor of tatts for her. A few days later, she passed away. I am just glad she got to see it before she passed...Thanks again guys and will defiantly refer anyone and everyone looking for good quality tatts.

I took my mom here to get a tattoo of my brothers name and his finger print because he passed away and Jake helped us from the beginning and the end of the result was amazing. Its beautiful has every small detail we didnt think was possible for him to have put from the fingerprint.

He tattoos very softly, but hard enough to input the tattoo. He kept everything clean, and fast. I recommend if you get a tattoo to go to Black Swan, and have Phil Snyder to tattoo. I will for sure be back.

I received a tattoo from Mike about 2 weeks ago, on the north side. After 2 MONTHS of him drawing it up. I realized he had NO clue who i was when i called , lost the drawings several times, and even though i had left a deposit of over half the amount, he still hesitated to recognize me when i saw him face to face. He had NO memory of the deposit, which i had a receipt for ( thank god) and when i finally showed up and pushed him into making an actual appointment, I still had to wait 2 HOURS before he started on my tattoo. The tattoo was a cover up and initially he told me it would be easy and not a problem and look exactly how i wanted it. My $300 tattoo took him LESS THAN 20 MINUTES, AND HE CONVENIENTLY FINISHED THE SECOND HIS 18 YEAR OLD GIRLFRIEND ARRIVED. I stood up, looked at my tattoo in the mirror, and it looked NOTHING like the stencil of the SIMPLE CROSS I asked him to do, while also not covering up the tattoo i was in there to cover up in the first place. It looks like a kindergartner drew this tattoo. I am EXTREMELY pissed about the service I received from MIKE. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy....seriously... Ive always heard good things about Black Swan... but dont ask for MIke.

My fiance and I came in after being told this is the shop to go to for good work. We came in on Monday morning after 11:30. The tattoos we got were only each others names on our necks. The price we were quoted was $80 per tattoo, the reasoning behind that the tattoo artist Phil said because its an awkward place to tattoo. Come on 4 letters in my name and charged me $80 I talked him down to $60 which still seemed high. Her name is 6 letters which $80 still seems high. Anyways we went ahead and had the work done, after barely 20 mins he was done with both our tattoos and neither of them came out $140 worth of work. Her tattoo and mine have very shaky lines, both of the tattoos that Phil did werent even the same as the patterns he showed us. I would not recommend this shop AT ALL WE ARE BOTH VERY DISPLEASED.

Black Swan Southside is the best place around to get a tattoo. My wife and I both went to Phil for American Traditional style tattoos, and could not be happier with the results. We will be going back to Black Swan again next time.

The people that do the tattoos here may be good (haven’t had experience with them) but the piercer sucks. She was rude and unprofessional. They lost our business and anyone else who asks our opinion on them.

This tattoo shop is the best. All the guys in there are amazingly talented and always provide a good time while being under the needle. They have done all my tattoos and will always do the many more i have planned! I dont trust anyone els!

Jake was fantastic. I recommend him. Went to pierce my tongue today. The cleanest place Ive been too. Everyone is super friendly, highly recommend this place. I was a walk-in and had everything done it about 15 minutes.

Impossible to reach. Emailed for help about two weeks ago because my nose piercing had came out for the second time. Just wanted help putting it back in or even answer as to what to do but never got an answer with the phone and never got a reply from the email I sent.

Kori pierced my sister and Is septum, and was beyond thorough and helpful. Their aura is amazing, and Im so grateful that Kori was our piercer!

Got my belly button pierced here and they were super clean and fast. Even with me freaking out it took a whole 10 minutes, if you want your belly button pierced I highly recommend it!(:

This is really my favorite place to be, I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else for a tattoo. As soon as I walk in, I feel like I’m hanging out with a bunch of friends. They are all so good at what they do, I wish I could get something done everyday.

I had Phil do a tattoo of a compass on my shoulder (First Tattoo) and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. It’s absolutely awesome, defiantly will go back to the black swan if I decide to have more tattoos in the future.

Last Saturday my sister and I went to Black Swan. I got Conch piercings (both ears) by Kori (hope this is spelled correctly). My sister got her Rook and forward Helix done by her as well. She was awesome! It felt as if we already knew each other for years.She was extremely clean and professional. Didnt skip a beat. What really caught my attention, - shes excellent on time management. Had an appt after us. They came in early. Took care of all of us without question - Costumer service skills on point.We will definitely be coming back to see her. Thanks again for everything.
