Lyons Den Tattoo Company is seriously the best! I have had 3 tattoos done by Izic. He is awesome. Godd pricing, tattoos come out amazing! Conversation is good, hes very personable! I had these butterflies done yesterday. I love it! Always my go to tattoo artist 😀

Lyons Den is probably my new go-to tattoo place in Lakeland/ Mulberry area! I’ve tried a couple other places around that I enjoy, but this experience really kind of went above and beyond. Craig was so amazing and though we didn’t have an appointment with Izic he was also super sweet and interactive with us while we were at the shop.First of all, it can be so hard to find tattoo places that accept walk-ins. Tattoos are becoming more and more popular and acceptable in society, so most shops are super booked up with little time in between. But Lyon’s Den does accept walk-ins if they have time!So, I found the instagram of Craig, one of the two artists and shot him a text message asking if my mom and I could set up an appointment or walk in that day or sometime soon. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting at all to be able to get in that same day. But Craig answered with a lot 2 hours and said he’d have time in the evening! We were so excited.That evening we went in and had such an enjoyable time. We got smaller pieces done but I actually was able to get 2 small tattoos and Craig didn’t even blink an eye. Sometimes artists can be picky or even a little rude when you want to get more but he was super go with the flow. And he really made sure that the placement of the tattoos would look it’s best.It was also my moms first time ever getting a tattoo, and we told Craig that and he was super kind and patient with her. He made extra sure she was comfortable all throughout the process which I really think helped. Plus, they turned out absolutely gorgeous.Lastly, the prices were very reasonable even considering we were walkins. Their shop minimum is $80 so you want to make sure if it’s a smaller one that it’s worth that price. I will definitely be coming back here!

My girlfriend and I stopped by here to get our nose pierced and Craig took us in right before close and took his time to make sure everything was safe and ready to go. We decided to set up an appointment with him for our tattoos after finding his pricing is very reasonable and the tattoos exceeded both our expectations, especially mine being that it required more detail.

Craig did an absolutely AMAZING job on my coverup. I had been tossing around ideas for a while and wasn’t sure it would come together and Craig made it even better than I ever could have imagined. He’s a true artist with a talent for seeing the potential design before others can. I am so happy with it and cant wait to go back for my next session to finish this partial sleeve! I recently got an amazing tattoo on my forearm. The entire process was over 6 hours in the chair. Craig was amazing through the entire process. Was constantly making sure I was good, willing to take a break whenever I needed too, and was 100% focused the whole session.The tattoo came out way better than I anticipated. It was not a simple Stencil tattoo with an outline and shading. Definitely not something I would just let any tattoo artist do. Craig truly is an artist and I’m proud to have his work wrapped around my arm. If you are looking for the best shop in Lakeland this spot is amazing! I’m glad I found Lyons Den Company on Instagram. After discussing what I was looking for, Craig, the owner,, prepared an illustration with recommendations and the tattoo looks awesome. The cardinal and branches were an addition to the canary I already had on my arm. Friendly atmosphere, clean and good customer service.

Got a piercing here with Craig and it was done completely wrong. When I expressed my concern, he got snarky & rude with me talking about how he knows what he’s doing and how I need to listen to him as he’s the professional. My piercing, an eyebrow piercing, rejected within 2 months and had me in pain the entire time. He wore no gloves, barely sanitized, and I didn’t see him wash his hands at all. I wish I would have checked the reviews beforehand, because there are other reviews with similar experiences & Craig (the owner & “piercer”) even replied to them in his snarky know it all attitude.

After going to most of the tattoo shops in the area, as soon as I finished my consult with Craig I knew this was the place for me. He listened and understood the changes I wanted to make to an old outdated tattoo and came up with an amazing design that was exactly what I was looking for. The tattoo is flawless and the whole experIence was professional as well as personal. The tattoo took several hours to complete and I never felt like he was rushing to get it done. The conversation was great and I was extremely comfortable with the whole experience. The design came out perfectly for me and I am very happy I chose Lions Den Tattoo and I am going back to update my other tattoos next week. I would definitely recommend checking out the shop before choosing another shop in the area.

Craig(owner/tattoo artist) is the best tattoo artist in the business. He did my first tattoo of the Michigan State Spartans Logo I showed him and it looks amazing. The artistry of his work is second to none. My wife has had 3 tattoo done by him. We drive 2 hours one-way just to see him and it’s worth every minute. Craig is incredibly professional in every aspect of his work.

I’ve had two tattoos done at this shop in under a year and both times they’ve been incredibly welcoming, the shop was very clean, they’ve listened to my needs, and the art has turned out nothing shy of incredible. Izic did my latest piece and he was so gentle, thorough, and genuinely kind throughout the whole process. You come for the tattoos but stay for his singing to the songs over the speaker. Lol. We showed up at 8:30pm and wanted to get a tattoo each. Craig Lyons not only was gracious enough to agree to do both of them he even took the time to type it up (we got Roman Numerals). He printed it in several sizes and held it in place before printing the stencil. Then took the time to make sure that the stencil was straight and we liked the placement. The shop itself is very relaxing. He played music which added to the experience. By far the best experience I have had.

Craig was very professional and knowledgeable about all types of tattoos. I gave him an idea and he ran with it. It turned out better than Id ever imagined. Craig has always taken pride in his work and put his own little spin on his tattoos so they are never identical to others. He has done lots of work for me throughout the 15 years I have known him and even fixed a few. Very clean, professional and the quality of his work is great. Anyone I have referred to him has never left disappointed.

I have been to a lot of tattoo shops in my years, recently I’ve been getting some of my work covered up as I’m a different person now. I had been to 6 shops before discovering this one all of which told me my coverup couldn’t be done or they wouldn’t touch it. Within 5 minutes in here Craig had me convinced and excited. 3 days later I walked away with the best piece I have on me and it’s a coverup nobody else would touch. I can say 100% this is the best shop. They are confident in their work and with good reason. Price is great work is better shop is amazing. My only shop from now on hands down.

Im a very conservative person. I got my 1st tattoo in 2006. I always knew I would get another on my other upper arm. A couple years ago, I finally decided what I wanted. The guy that did my 1st tattoo had moved out of the area. Im VERY picky when it comes to something that is going to be permanent. I have seen all the horror stories that most of you have. I finally got a good lead on Craig at Lyons Den in South Lakeland. I went down there on 2-14-20 with a friend that was getting a tattoo. I was so impressed, I was back the next night getting my tattoo. Craig listened to what I was wanting/thinking. He showed me several different ideas. His very 1st idea was AMAZING!! He drew it up and I walked out that night with a huge smile. The entire experience was GREAT!! Cleanliness and Quality are everything to me. He nailed it. Thanks Craig!!!!!

Craig passes no judgement when someone such as myself from a hard walk of life comes through that door. I wanted something prestine and well deserved after 20 years of suffering. He met me with patience, and understanding. Showed me the commitment he has to his craft and brought his 20+ years of experience. When the work was finished in such an incredible amount of time for its size with the detail I hadnt even originally imagined I was blown away and said Thank God this is permanent.

We visited the Lyon’s Den on December 3 at 2 PM for an appointment with Cory. This being the first tattooing appointment we’ve ever had with him we weren’t sure what to expect but he exceeded all our expectations! His overall good vibe, casual conversation and just demeanor was very calming! As a tradition I have taken my teenagers on their 16th birthday for their first tattoo! Yesterday was my only daughter’s 16th birthday! We sent some pictures to Cory ahead of time and told him some ideas she had on what she wanted! Cory is an amazing artist and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome! Thank you so much Cory! We will definitely be seeing more of you!

Worst experience ever!! I would NOT recommend coming here if you want a good piercing and good service, I was a little concerned walking in because I called and ask if there was a piercer in today they told me yes SHE on her break, when I got there they told me Craig the owner will be piercing me, I sat down after they made me sign the papers and the utensils were already out on the table and he DIDNT have gloves on, I asked him if everything was sanitized, he said yes, we kept going.. when I was asking about the jewelry size he grabbed another piece of jewelry with his bare hands and he was like this will be too small and proceeds to put the jewelry back with the others. After the piercing which hurt extremely bad and after passing out I look at the piercing and it’s extremely low, I asked him twice if he thought it wasn’t too low because it was rubbing against my lip and it was extremely hard to talk, he proceeds to tell me no it’s perfectly fine. Fast forward next day I wake up with immense pain and I couldn’t eat, I text him telling him I’m in a lot of pain and I think it’s due to the placement, after doing some research I’ve seen that no one’s septum piercing is that close to there face, it felt like it was rubbing on the cartilage, he refused to give me a refund and was extremely rude and defensive, He kept telling me that the placement was correct and he did nothing wrong, he even went as far as saying he posted the picture on instagram and was getting posted feedback and he did from a front profile not from the side, which is where you can tell the placement was completely wrong, I asked him and told him I spoke to several different piercers in the area and they’re telling me it’s completely wrong and he still refused to give me a refund or help fixed it for free when he messed up, to sum it up don’t waste your time getting a piercing here and definitely do more research on your piercer before letting anyone go near your face with a needle, just because they’re a tattoo artist doesn’t mean they’re a good piercer.

Shayna did my piercings and she was amazing! I was super nervous but she was great and kept me calm! Will definitely be coming back for future tattoos and piercings!
