Charmed Life Tattoo

I finally took the plunge and got my first tattoo, and I’m glad I did it at Charmed Life. I appreciated the online form to be able to get my ideas down, and they followed up reasonably promptly to get me scheduled. My artist was Taylor, and I really enjoyed working with him. He was able to create a sketch from my idea that really captured what I wanted. He was good to work with too, and made me feel comfortable as a first timer and gave me clear (and effective) aftercare instructions. They say your first is either a one time thing or a gateway, and with the positive experience I had here, I think it’s the latter. Would definitely work with Taylor and this business again.

I have been working with Robert at Charmed Life for over 20 years. Robert is a serious professional, an amazing artist, a great human. His customer service goes the extra mile and he is always fully prepared for the session. I ask for and trust his input. I simply will not go to any other artist or studio.The atmosphere in the shop is incredibly positive and welcoming. You can see how much the other artists enjoy working there and with each other.He holds high standards for hisself and the other artists in the studio. If you look around you will see the other artists working intently on their own work for their clients. This is without a doubt due to Roberts example and leadership.

I cant say enough about this place. I am no expert when it comes to judging a tattoo shop but of the few I have been to this has been top notch. Excellent artists and excellent work. Robert has now given myself (2), my oldest daughter, my son, son-in-law and soon my youngest daughter a tattoo. This is the shop to start visiting.

Ive been using their services for 20 years. They are professional at every level. Very customer oriented and Im satisfied every time I leave their shop. Very clean and a great atmosphere. If you are getting a tattoo for the first time or its your hundredth time there is no better place to get some ink put in you than charmed life. All their artist are professional and take pride in their work.

Charmed life always has a welcoming atmosphere, every time I go I have Liv as my artist. Liv is friendly, kind and always helpful with ideas for tattoo placements & things like that. I highly recommend Liv to anyone looking to get a tattoo!!

Scheduled an appointment weeks ago and submitted my design with my application and deposit. I arrive for my scheduled appointment and am handed a design that looks nothing like I submitted because they were never given a design even though they called to confirm my design and said they had received the picture I sent. So after arriving, was made wait an hour and a half for the artist to draw:a design that premade for them. I asked for Roman numerals to be used at the bottom of the design and the artist couldnt draw them herself and requested it be emailed to her so she could trace it. Once the design was finally made, I advised it was too small and requested it to be bigger to which I was told that if the design was made bigger than the Roman numerals at the bottom of the design that wasnt attached to the design wouldnt fit where I wanted because even though it wasnt connected or attached to the design, it couldnt have been kept the same size if the design was made bigger. At other shops I have been to, they have separated pieces of a tattoo so that it would be proportioned correctly. I settle with the design being too small and then the artist tells me that she has to set up her station, which in my opinion should have been set up before I even arrived since I was a scheduled appointment, however her idea of setting up was running around to the other stations and talking or calling people over to her station to talk about the design. After waiting for so long the only positive was they gave my deposit back and I left without taking any chances of letting her touch my skin with a needle. Would not recommend Liv or this shop to anyone.

WASTED an hour just waiting for a tattoo to be drawn up that was supposed to already be done before our appointment, after traveling 2 hours to the appointment. The appointment was made, along with a $100 deposit, AND a correct picture of the tattoo design was submitted weeks ago just to arrive with the WRONG tattoo printed out and lack of knowledge on how to actually achieve the correct tattoo. VERY unprofessional, and disappointing.

Received my very first tattoo, best job Ive ever seen. They were able to replicate a love letter on my chest. They couldnt have done a better job, it was an exact replica. THANK you Tyler. Highly recommend him. He made sure it was perfect and the way I wanted it. I will definitely be back.

I made a request online for an appointment. So I dont know if you still need to do this. It took a while to get an appointment to see an artist. Something I understood and was cool about. When I did book the appointment it was supposed to be a cover up of an old tattoo. Fast forward to the appointment. The first attempt I had to reschedule, my son was sick. So I couldnt have him babysat. I knew 24 hours prior to my appointment. They were extremely helpful in rescheduling my appointment for the next week. I didnt lose my deposit either. Then the following week I met the artist. Stu was extremely nice and knowledgeable in his trade. The art I picked just wouldnt work for a great cover-up. Too many light colors, Stu didnt say it was impossible just would be difficult. I agreed with him. Thats why making the appointment I would be flexible on where the tattoo went. I had a left arm of free space. So I was already leaning on doing that. Plus the old tattoo has some memories. So in the future I will do something to just blend it in future artwork. Stu understood and worked with me on the process. So he had to make some adjustments and was extremely professional about it. He was great at laying the ink down. Its healing fine. Some color was added but the tattoo needs another session in 4 weeks. If you are wanting Traditional or Japanese tattooing hes your man. I asked for more of a New School tattoo. Im happy with the art he is doing on my arm. Still doing some thinking on what else I want to add to my sleeve. I highly recommend this place.

Just moved back into town and of course wanted to get a tattoo during ‘rona 2020. The shop was very clean and everyone was wearing masks. Good music, good vibes, good decor & very friendly staff. Ryan did an incredible job on my tattoo and is very talented. He was quick and precise and I couldn’t be happier with the finish!! Can’t wait to get more done by him! Highly recommend :)

Ryan has taken care of me since day one. 10/10 would recommend. The man is the consummate professional. Crispy lines? Check. Polite, courteous, exceptionally accommodating? Check. Give him an idea and let him put it together for you. I think I’m at 15 pieces right now and I’ll be finishing one of my arms soon. Light hands, crispy lines, a great attitude? What more can you ask for from an artist?Also the shop atmosphere is great. Everyone in there is welcoming and professional. Nervous? They’ll walk you through it. Everyone is patient and knowledgeable about their craft. 10/10

I can’t praise Charmed Life enough. Daniel did my tattoo and went above and beyond my expectations. Not only did he do a beautiful job on my tattoo, but also provided a comforting environment and was a joy to work with. I HIGHLY recommend everyone to come to Charmed Life for at least one, if not all of their tattoos.

I scheduled an appointment about a month and a half in advance and drove two hours to have a coverup tattoo done by Matt. A good friend of mine highly recommended him to me. Unfortunately there was a bit of a mixup and my appointment should have been rescheduled but wasn’t. When I arrived Matt wasn’t in the shop nor was he going to be at all that day. I was a bit disappointed at first I wasn’t going to be tattooed by Matt but understood mistakes sometimes happen. Thankfully for me Robert was in the shop that day. He personally went above and beyond to make things right for me. I ended up leaving with a beautiful piece of artwork tattooed by Robert himself I can feel proud to show off. I’d drive two hours again to have him tattoo me and I’d definitely recommend this shop to anyone in the future.

Awesome shop with a great atmosphere and some very talented tattoo artists. I made an appointment, paid my deposit online along with sending the picture of what I wanted to end up with. I already had an outline started from 8 years prior. Scott was able to breathe life back into it, completing my piece above and beyond my expectations. I will definitely be going here for my next work. A++ in my book! Thanks, everyone!

Superior quality. Great environment. Perfect atmosphere. Everything one could want and need in a Tattoo Shop. Had my first session with Wes. He meshed perfectly with my ideas. I am more then impressed and would definitely recommend the shop to anyone looking for shop to be adorned with art. I know I will spend countless hours there myself filling white space.

My artist was Matt. He’s a good guy and handles business professionally. Probably could have done a better job on my tat though. Color is good. Decent lines. Facility is pretty clean and organized. Just felt like the job done was lazy and rushed. Artist didn’t reference picture once after transferring to template. Template started to smear during the outline but artist didn’t reference pic and kinda winged it after the start. Looks about 75-80% of what I wanted in the pic. The mistakes aren’t huge but definitely noticeable. I would give Charmed life another visit but would probably chose a different artist. At least an artist with a portfolio available online. That was my mistake a not the studio.

Today I got my second lobe and Tragus pierced by Jordan, and she was exceptional! So very personable, professional, friendly and informative. She totally helped me through my nerves, and was everything I could have ever wanted in a piercer. I would totally recommend Charmed Life (and Jordan) for anyone who wants a piercing from a clean, comfortable, and professional shop! Thanks again so much, Jordan! I love my piercings :))

Been a customer for 16 years, absolutely wouldnt go anywhere else. Robert and Matt used to put outlines of unicorn tattoos on my kid when she was little. My wife also gets work done here.

I inquired about getting my ears pierced and everyone was super helpful especially Dannii. She explained to me the ones i wanted werent in stock and that she would e-mail me when they came in. A month went by and she e-mailed me like she promised she would. At this point, i got my ears pierced already but i thought this place deserved a review from a customer service point of view. Really pleased she did that and the place was super clean too! Ill definitely come back and hopefully get more work done!

I always mean to do this the dozens of times I’ve been but always forget in the end. But Honestly I trust every artist with tattooing my body 100%. You can’t find better customer service, and eventual friends anywhere else. Personally I am tattooed by Brenna but whoever you go with in the end is an amazing tattoo artist and technical applicator and amazing person. You won’t be disappointed.

I got my first tattoo here and loved the environment. Ryan was awesome, he did a great job. Despite my hearing loss and having to repeat himself, he was patient and professional. Definitely planning to go back.

I was tattooed by Scott Updike. He translated my idea perfectly into my tattoo. I’m so happy with how the tattoo turned out. Scott was very friendly and professional. The shop was very clean and to someone who wasn’t tattoed at all beforehand, it was very comfortable and not intimidating. The staff were all really friendly. They weren’t very busy and there was a decent amount of (free) parking available. I spent around 3 hours here, 2 of which I was being tattooed. Will definitely be back! Thanks!

Went to Charmed Life for my very first tattoo because I heard so many great things about them; and everyone was right! I got my tattoo done in two sessions with Robert; he is A++. I was very nervous but he (and the other artists there) put me at ease. The finished product looks AMAZING. Now I find myself wanting to go get more done!

My wife and I had the best experience! Brenna was our artist and while shes difficult to get booked with her work and perfessionalism are worth the wait. Everyone there was super cool!

Went to another tattoo shop in town for a walk-in and got a bunch of, maybe at this time maybe tomorrow, So I called Charmed Life. Super nice over the phone and got me in with a GREAT Artist, Jason. The owner Robert was there and a stand up guy. I recommend this place to anybody.

I’m new to Lexington, and have been searching for a tattoo artist for awhile now. All of the artists here are great. You should go on their site and check out their work. The artist I wanted to do my tattoo is in high demand currently so he wasn’t available but they are all great.

I have several tattoos, all from here. I’ve used various artists and they all are talented beyond belief. Great prices and very friendly atmosphere with a great charismaPlenty of charm. Great for first timer, however it is also great for the good ol ink addict.

Had a great tattoo here. Fantastic shop, very clean and safe. Followed all the covid guidelines. Very cool place and awesome artists. Highly recommend and will be coming back when I decide on more ink.

Ryan Cummins took my friend and I as walk ins, and did an excellent job! Meticulous with details and ensured we absolutely loved the piece before even starting. Clean facilities, has a cool vibe.

This was my first time getting tattooed at Charmed Life and I got an American traditional eagle from Mandee. She did an incredible job; definitely knows how to do American traditional tattoos. The shop is laid back, comfortable and clean. A+ experience for me...thanks a bunch, Mandee.

Daniel Chalabi “cloudheadtattoo” is amazing! He has done 10 plus traditional pieces on me that I am in love with. He always takes my ideas and then makes them even better. Clean lines, beautiful shading and his dot shading has been implemented in some of my pieces that make them unique and be nails the traditional feel. He is also cool af to chop it up with while getting work done. Highly recommend him!

Some of the most talented artists in the region work at Charmed. Have never seen a piece from them that was less than amazing. Robert has fobe 2 tattoos for me and people always comoliment the shading and level of detail in those pieces. After 15 tattoos at other places and 2 at Charmed I have sworn off any other shop and am now a loyal Charmed Life client for life. Joe and Scott are also extremely talented artists that I follow online but each artist here has their own unique style that compliments many different creative designs.

Got a simple key tattoo, the artist did not do a good job at all. I posted a one star review and had the shop actually contact me to make it right. Met with the owner who is personally fixing it and making it something I will be proud of. Went from a very bad experience to a great one.

Came here with a friend and really liked their work. The place is cool and the artists are fun and down to earth! Cant wait for 3pm Thursday when I go back and get my new one!

They put a ring in my lip that was too small. It started to go through my lip so I took it out. They wont put in a new one free. I was willing to pay for my jewelry. I shouldnt have to pay twice for the same job. Other than that, they was cool.

I knew what I wanted, but couldnt figure out how to piece the elements of it together. They were more than helpful, drew me up an awesome piece from my idea, and tattooed it up for me perfectly. Its the best tattoo I have by far. I definitely recommend this place. I know Ill be back there for another tattoo soon.

It was so clean and i felt safe getting my tattoo during this pandemic. Matt was amazing and created an amazing masterpiece for me. This is where I will get all my tattoo work done.

Did a walk in here for Roman numeral tat. Guy did a horrible job, not straight at all. There may be some good artists here but they never should have allowed this guy to do straight lines. Lesson learned, always research your artist
