I don’t know where to start. I have been in search for years for the perfect artist to do my second sleeve. I was very particular on the type of artist - creative, amazing talent, could tell a story with the tattoo, etc. I was fortunate to be able to travel anywhere in the world to get this done.After an insane amount of research I narrowed it down to Carlos. After patience and time, I was able to schedule my sleeve with him. Here is how it went:The tattoo came out amazing! It is better than I ever thought, and since I work in the design world, that says a lot. But more than the tattoo the entire experience was fantastic.Carlos is a humble, amazing guy. Someone with that much talent who has been in the game this long, one would expect a big ego. Not even close. The design process was so approachable and he really took the crazy thoughts in my head to a beautiful work of art.Four days of tattooing and I didn’t want to leave. I could have talked to the guy forever. Amazing stories and such an awesome guy.The shop was beyond clean and sterile. I joked that hospitals need to get to this standard (but actually the truth).Juliette who handles his schedule is super kind and great at communicating. Was very accommodation.Luis who handles the shop, setup, food runs, etc was great. He did food, snack and coffee runs throughout the day. Are you kidding me?? A tattoo shop with full service delivery. Never seen this in a shop.George, the media/marketing creator and just a funny guy, did some amazing videos and took some great photos.But more than that, all the artist are next level. Their art was amazing, and they were just solid guys. Everyone will make you feel absolutely comfortable and as you belong as part of the shop. When I say the experience was awesome, it’s because the environment and people are amazing.I traveled across the country twice to get this done and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I would highly recommend this place and the artist within it. Schedule an appointment, as you won’t regret it!

Wow. I came here and got two tattoos from Andy kim, he was so kind to me, he gave me design advice, waited enough time for me while I decided on several designs, understood the pain, and gave me happy memories. The most important thing is that my tattoo was also completed beautifully. he is very talented! Soon Im going to do two more tattoos with him. Thanks Andy!

Great shop. The moment you walk in you know they have put a lot of thought into their craft from the environment of the shop down to the artists you interact with. Got a tattoo from Andrew and cant rave enough about this guy. Hes extremely patient and personable, he makes you feel really comfortable. His talent is next level. From the vision, to the actual art, to execution, all incredible. 1000% would recommend.

This review is for John Hudic. I cannot say enough good things about John. I came in for a 2 day project on my entire left side and John was amazing. He was so welcoming and made me feel so comfortable. He took his time perfecting my design until it was exactly what I wanted and throughout the tattoo he made everything so fun. He also has a phenomenal technique which made the two days much more tolerable than it could have been. The end result was beyond my expectations, he truly is a gifted artist. I have a masterpiece on my side thanks to him. Additionally the shop is the best studio I have ever been in with the most professional and welcoming people and artists I have ever met. Everyone is an artist in the truest sense of the word in various mediums. I have been so spoiled I can’t see myself going anywhere else for the many many more tattoos to come.

This place is the TRUTH! My buddy (Navy SEAL) recently got a tattoo from Andrew, and my goodness it shows in the exceptional quality of his work--FYI this shop is owned by Carlos Torres and he is a legend in the tattooing world when it comes to black-and-grey realism tattoos.From start to finish, professionalism was on point; my buddy was at ease, was well-informed as Andrew explained the process, and delivered not only incredible art but also in such a timely manner.If youre after top-tier realism and exception professionalism, go find this place.

The front door was a little confusing to find but my that’s my only complaint as the experience was my above my expectations. Andrew Kim was more than accommodating during the consultation period and took into consideration what I wanted while also providing advice and other options. The shop was clean and the staff and the other artists were accommodating as well. I can see how RW may not be for everyone, but the work produced here was definitely well worth it. Thank you again Andrew!

Been following Andrew on IG (@lionsdenart) for some time as I liked his style and work, excellent west coast black and white portraits. Finally made up my mind to get some work done so reached out and made an appointment. I met with Andrew and with his consultation decided to get a portrait of my sons on my chest. He was truly a professional and a master of his craft, it was quite an experience getting worked done from a top tier artist and shop. I’m looking forward to getting more work done with Andrew for years to come

The atmosphere was great. Marc was friendly but my tattoo turned out bad enough I will have to get it completely redone. Not happy after spending that much money on Vacation.

Highly professional shop with skilled artists with a range of different styles. I received an absolutely epic, daringly unique and detailed tattoo from Mr. John Hudic. He went above and beyond and the entire experience was excellent.

Our experience was absolutely wonderful! Jose Alvarado tattooed my sisters and I. He was incredibly detailed and personable through out the experience. The entire studio was an amazing experience. The artists and work was amazing to be present for.

I now make it a point to go here every trip out. This is as much art gallery as anything. The artists are amazing and the way they interact and support each other is very neat to watch.I’ve had 4 amazing tats done here now and will continue to come back!

I had a great experience here. I was pretty nervous going by myself but the staff was super helpful and made me feel welcome and comfortable. Definitely not what you think of when you think of a tattoo shop, it’s more of a chill art space. Very clean and by the books. Erin was really sweet and got me set up with paperwork and my tattoo artist Joey was cool and listened to my ideas before we decided on a design and placement. Cant wait to come back !

What a great shop and amazing artists. Joey tattooed me today. His attention to detail and care for his work is obvious. He’s extremely talented and I couldn’t have asked for a better artist to do my piece. The shop is very clean and well decorated everyone who works there is very welcoming. 100% the best experience I’ve had getting tattooed. The prices are very fair for the quality of work that comes out of this shop. Can’t wait for Joey to finish my piece and am looking forward to getting more work done from him in the future.

Carlos and the whole crew are undeniably the best! Each are incredible artists and creatives, as well as amazing and welcoming people. Ive felt completely comfortable throughout my entire experience with them, and Im excited to continue!Ive been getting my sleeve worked on by Carlos, and I feel nothing but blessed and honored! Having my first tattoo ever worked on by a literal tattoo god.... I have no idea how I got so lucky!I get asked DAILY about my sleeve in my day to day life, whether at work or just waking around, and I recommend to them and everyone to go and check them out! Like now! Every single artist there is extraordinarily talented and unique.

First of I wanna say coming from Seattle WA and being first time in Cali was An amazing experience the place is beautiful down here and the atmosphere at the shop is amazing such good vibes and everybody so chill and nice and are great people! Including my artist Kasper who did an amazing job on my leg tattoo! And meeting Carlos and being able to talk with him and soon get tattooed by him!! Will be a dream! I will be back

I’ve had amazing experiences at this place EVERY SINGLE TIME & refuse to go to any other tattoo shop. JOEY is AMAZING & is a phenomenal TATTOO ARTIST. He always does great work & has never let myself or my boyfriend down. He is open to our crazy tattoo ideas and does a great job giving his expert advice when it comes to placement. HE IS THE PROFESSIONAL of course. We travel all the way from Northern California just to get tattooed by him. Joey, you’re the man.As for the rest of the tattoo artists, YOU ALL ARE PHENOMENAL as well. I’ve been to other tattoo shops(which I regret wholeheartedly) before we started going to you & you all have such amazing, raw talent. Very friendly staff and artists. Its also located nearby many food spots so you can also hang around if you decide to after.

Finding the right artist and place was so hard for me but here with The Raven and the Wolf it felt like family. John Smith my artist did an absolute amazing work bring to life a piece I waited 7yrs to get.

Gorgeous location, super friendly and accommodating staff, and THE best artists. i felt completely comfortable with my artist, john. he goes out of his way to ensure that he brings your vision to life. thank you to john and everyone here for making this experience so lovely. cannot wait to come back

I love The Raven and The Wolves. The environment is super clean and feels more like an art gallery than a tattoo studio. The staff is really amazing and accommodating, especially when you’re getting tattooed all day. I can’t recommend this place enough. So if you’re down in Long Beach, go catch a quick little banger 🙏🏽

The artists seem to be decent but unfortunately the pricing and front desk staff sucks. You need to make a downpayment before booking and even if the artist tells you during the design session that he cannot do what you wanted, you wont get the downpayment back. $660 later I have not gotten anywhere and surely wont return.

This place is a collective of the best artist in the world. The work that is put out by the tattoo artist here is breath taking and has me wanting to come back and get more pieces done. The shop is beautifuly put together and is fun to be in. This is the only shop I want to go to to get any work done.Joey Z did my first tattoo on left arm and I couldn’t be happier. He’s one of the nicest and easy going dudes I have met. He was a complete professional and worked with me to create the best piece possible. His knowledge and attention to detail is A1. He worked with me and let me know what of my tattoo idea worked and what didn’t to ensure that I had the best looking tattoo I could have. This is gonna be on me for the rest of my life so I appreciated the honesty and it came out better than my original idea.

Let me just say my whole experience here was absolutely incredible… Starting with my initial contact with Erin who was just exceptional at scheduling me asking me all the right questions she was so awesome giving me tips on what to do when I got to Long Beach (was visiting on vacation from Florida)... she was absolutely amazing making me feel comfortable she is the one who introduced Joey who was actually my artist he was amazing I gave him an idea and I told him to put his artistic twist to it and my tattoo turned out breathtaking the facility is beautiful the staff wonderful Joey was awesome made me feel comfortable from consultation just wanting to make sure it’s what I wanted how I wanted it and let me tell you the in results were just breathtaking I am so pleased with his work and pleased with my design I definitely if I come back to Long Beach California I’m definitely going to see Joey again I would highly recommend this place to anyone.Gina the teacher from Florida

I had Mark as my artist. He was very friendly and professional. But the ink on my tattoo is bad. Looks really rough

F this place. Went in to get a portrait of my daughter on the inside of my upper forearm. My 1st tattoo. Joey was good during the consultation but kept suggesting a different orientation. I wanted the tattoo I was paying for to be orientated for my viewing. I informed him I didnt give a damn about others seeing it; this is for me.We continued until the sizing and layout fit.However he stated after speaking with other artists that he wasnt sure. I broke it down and asked if he was going to do it or not when he then admitted to fearing mistakes because of the layout. I didnt argue, he just did me the favor of informing me of his shortcomings so I asked for my deposit and bounced.As a professional Im there to get it done the way a paying customer asks, provide my expert opinion when necessary, but never dictate whats going to get done. If I know its not in my scope I just turn it down and not waste anyones time.He couldve turned me down over 3 months ago when I met with him foto in hand and explained exactly what I wanted and gave my deposit.References to a capable tattoo artist specializing in portraits are appreciated. Preferably one that doesnt have to ask for permission to do work.Apparently tattooing a piece thats upside down is too difficult for some.

Had such a great experience , everyone friendly and nice. Would definitely recommend this place. My artist was Andrew, he is super chill and made my process so easy.

I had an appointment @11am with brian kaspieron and I was very patient but between the talking and verbal conversations about outside work delayed my start time for 3 hours which in any business is really ridiculous! I use to be a 5 year customer thought friend; mistaken for just another dollar amount for brian as he cursed me out the door with no regard for my time money or anything that was professional, Brian DOE NOT HAVE IT! I WILL NEVER BACK!I flew from northern California with a 100 dollar deposite and a $ 200 advance but I was not a worthy candadate after 5 years of work disappointed and let down ! Its a shame brian you wasted my time and money I will always tell aberyone about your poor values as a tattoo artist for the record fighting is not hou you handle disagreements with customers!!God Bless hope your situation gets better!

Beautiful place and some of the best artists working here. Don’t expect them doing some simple stuff and follow your “instructions”. They are ARTISTS and they know how to do it better for you. Respect that and you’ll get the best result.

A tattoo place not everyone would think about getting a tattoo but then again we always know that to think about it and think twice and also really be about it is a great Just Like Heaven.

The best of the best 👍🏻We are a group of 4 people who decided at the last minute to get palm tree tattoos 🌴 including 3 people for whom it was their first tattoo. A top tattoo artist who pays attention to detail and knows how to reassure. Thank you Marc for this experience and a little thought also for Franck who welcomed us who is also at the top 👌🏻 ☺️
