My best friend and I were both super nervous about getting our helix piercing done but Jen quickly put us at ease with her calm, gentle manner. She did a super good job of carefully marking where the piercing was going to go, and being very attentive to what I wanted. Highly recommend going to Studio 42 for any of your piercing needs!

I wanted a tattoo on my forearm w/ my kids names & so I called ahead & the woman who answered was very nice & helpful. I visited later on & the shop was super clean & staff were fantastic. I was impressed by the extremely clean studio. The staff were friendly and professional and took the time to fully answer any questions that I had. It was my first tattoo so I had a lot of them lol. Jet did an outstanding job on my tattoo and explained the process in detail. I will definitely come back for more.

I went to studio 52 today and what an experience it was. These folk here, nice personable, friendly. They made my visit very comfortable. My artist was Jetti, whom I highly recommend. Great personality and awesome work. I will be returning in the future to have more work done without a doubt.

I was nervous about getting a second pair of earlobe piercings, since my first was done over 50 years ago. The owner was a true gentleman, opening the door for me & welcoming me to his business. Everyone I interacted with was warm, friendly & laid back. Jen did my piercings; she was careful, meticulous & explained every step. I got over my anxiety very quickly & was pleased with my new piercings. I highly recommend Studio 42!

Well today is my birthday, and I decided to get my nips pierced. I walked in at around 6:30p. Everyone was so helpful and super sweet. Jenni was my piercer and she walked me through all of the steps. She was excellent, and I would recommend her for anyone looking looking to get pierced! Very clean establishment! Awesome 👌🏽 👏🏽

The nose piecing technician at this location is awesome, gentle with changing out the nose ring, and easy to talk to about the cleaning care/aftercare instructions.

Garrett did an absolutely amazing job! Turned my vision into ink perfectly. He was extremely informative and helpful throughout the entire process. The process was quick and cut to the chase. You definitely get what you pay for with Studio 42. No other words can express my experience other than perfect.

At this point Ive gotten several tattoos from Oso, a couple from Brittany and some piercings from Dustin.I couldnt recommend a better place in Memphis to do business when it comes to your ink or your jewelry. Absolute professionals all around. Clean environment, great customer service, and just good people.

Okay. This may look like a really simple tattoo, but Id imagine creating a realistic lighting strike on an individuals hand would be challenging! Difficult or not the execution is beautiful, not just that, they incorporated it into a preexisting tattoo (with consent). Leaving me more satisfied than my initial idea! I called almost every shop in Memphis and most turned me away and pointed me in the direction of this shop. From start to finish 510% across the board. Beautiful service, beautiful shop, and beautiful souls. Im extremely grateful to live with this piece, as I use my body for tattoos as memories of artists Ive met. Ill def be back hoping to get a piece from all artists.

My daughter and I stopped in without appointments and they were very nice and took us right in! We each had helix piercings- painless and so cute!! Definitely recommend!!

Stayed for a week in Millington. Searched around and saw a couple of places closer to the base. I didn’t like what I saw so I expanded my search and found Studio 42. Don’t let the humble exterior fool you. The crew inside were cool, cordial and confident. Great atmosphere Jet did an awesome job with a refreshing a tattoo I had that was older than her; very talented. I would return to this studio for ink if I ever come back to the area.

Went in and got my septum done by Dustin. Really appreciated the jewelry options. Dustin as always was very clean and fast! Took his time to make sure the position of the piercing was amazing.While there, another employee pierced my sister’s nostril and they were just as amazing!Always a wonderful visit with great staff and great service.

I picked this shop because the reviews were very promising. I went to get a septum and conch piercing with my boyfriend. The shop looked very clean and professional, everyone I spoke to was very kind and I had no issues until the piercing process began. My boyfriend got the worst of it. When getting his septum pierced, the piercer did not look for the spot to pierce first and instead immediately went in poking with the needle. When he did get pierced, the piercing was incredibly high, and despite having bigger jewelry, only the balls of the piercing were visible. We returned to the shop since he was in a ton of pain and it looked very high and the piercer informed us he simply tends to pierce a little bit higher than the sweet spot?? We went to another piercer to get it removed and she was appalled and let us know it was way too high and was basically pierced almost through his cartilage. My conch was also pierced with a captive bead ring that was too small and is squeezing my ear. I was later informed by a different shop that rings are much harder to heal and wish I had been told that because I now have to get this changed/removed. Ive gotten several piercings over the years and have never had an experience like this. Mouses Tattoo down the road ended up doing a much better (and far more professional) job.

You want a good tattoo, go somewhere else. Only GREAT tattoos come out of Studio 42! Oso and Dustin create great tats!!

Even from the point of my consultation, everyone from the host to the owner to the artist was super nice! And I mean like... they challenged hotel hospitality with their niceness. The artist was super patient with me, as I was on the phone most of my appointment. Very understanding, flexible people. They even supplied me with a charger for my phone because I forgot mine. And let’s not forget the work they did on my leg. Outstanding! Could not be more impressed with the beauty of the piece. I loved this experience and it definitely set my standards for consultations and tattoos. I’m used to getting my tattoos via walk in, but I’m rambling at this point. This place is awesome, so come visit!

Walk in for septum piercing, no wait and everyone was so nice. Explained everything to my daughter about the care and cleaning of her new piercing. Very clean, wish I wouldve had time to get some ink while we were there!!

Studio 42 is the greatest tattoo/piercing shop I have ever been to. Dustin has done my piercings and tattoos--any issues/concerns I have ever had, he has addressed them quickly and made sure I was taken care of. The girl at the front desk is very sweet, and Dustin himself is THE guy to see! My tattoo is always getting compliments because his work is so clean and precise. Worth every dime and more. I was greater by a friendly face. All of my questions and concerns were addressed. The place was clean and well maintained. My piercer was awesome and put up with my extra self. My nose ring is freaking awesome and I would most definitely recommend anyone to become a customer.

My little brother and I had just set an appointment for a week out when Brittanys upcoming appointment cancelled last minute. We got extremely lucky and she took both of us on the spot. She is a great artist and we are impressed with the work. Definitely a great, clean, and welcoming shop.

I came here about 9 months ago and had my nose pierced by Syd.. Best experience ever! Returned last night with my daughter in law for her first tattoo, which was done by Dustin, & he did an awesome job! The staff, the vibe, the music, everything about this place was just amazing! I can not speak highly enough about this shop! Ive gotten a few piercings by Syd and I must say that I would recommend her to anyone considering a piercing! She is a dedicated piercer who see you through the process from consultation to fully healed piercings and jewelry change after that.Ive also been inked by Oso and I could not be more pleased with his work! After trying to get my nose piercing swapped out for a hoop at two other locations, I called Studio 42 and they took me in immediately! Two other piercers could not get my stud out, but the girl who helped me (forgot to ask her name!) got it out in less than a minute and was so sweet and positive and made my day!! I for sure recommend this place!

The most fantastic an outstanding group of people Ive ever met. When you walk in the door at Studio 42 you havent walked into a tattoo parlor or piercing shop, youve walked into the house where youre welcome to like family. Sid is an outstanding an amazing loving person she did my piercing of my daith piercing in both ears to relieve my migraines by the time we left a one-year migraine that was becoming completely disabling was gone. Her kind loving nature and her great sense of humor took all the fear away. Truly I cannot find enough good things to say about Studio 42 and everyone there including the most wonderful dog Ive ever met in my life.

Took my daughter to get industrial piercing and Sydney did a great job on her.She was very patient even though my daughter was just get it over with.She made sure to point out what had to be done to take care of it so it heals properly. Even told us any problems call or bring her in I will be glad to help.

I love studio 42, i was introduced to it by my friend Nancy. I’ve been there four times already and love it, I love everyone who’s done my tattoos so far, they’re really chill and willing to work with you. Oso did my first tattoo, then chico and then polo and Dustin did my others :) I managed to talk my mama into going 2 times. I would really recommend them, and I can’t wait to go back again. Hopefully this timeI can get my boyfriend to get a tattoo :) I’ve never been to anywhere other then studio 42.

I have been pierced and gotten work done by Dustin since I was 18. It has been 10 full years of work and being this mans canvas. I love every piece of art he has on my body and will continue to feel beautiful because I am colored beautifully. I love the shop vibes and kisses from sweet sammie dog. This shop has become family. Syd did my second nostril piercing and made sure it was perfect to match my other one before doing anything else. Dustin has a phenomenal team with him and I love them all. Ive been five (soon to be 6) times and have gotten tattoos done by Oso, Polo, AND Dustin and they all turned out AMAZING! Im not comfortable going anywhere else. Ive gotten every single one of my tattoos done at studio 42 and have never been disappointed. This is the best place to go to get a tattoo or piercing from. I’ve wanted a tattoo for years, but since it’s permanent, I was very slow to get it done. After finally deciding what I wanted, I did a lot of research in order to find the right place and artist to do the work. I absolutely could not be happier with the work Dustin did on my tattoo. He is an amazing artist, and very professional! Peighton, who set me up, was also incredible with explaining the process and aftercare. Peighton also was fun to talk to while I waited (because I was very early).I cannot thank them enough for such a great experience!

I came here once, about a month ago, to finally get my hoop nostril piercing. it was quick, fun, and the pain was very limited. dustin did an amazing job talking me through it. it looks better than i thought it would! i plan on getting my tattoos here (so far 9 that i have planned out) as soon as i turn 18 in a month. i’m very excited, and i feel very comfortable going here.

Extremely skillful, knowledgeable, warm, friendly and caring staff. They will take excellent care of you here, whether youre getting pierced or tattooed or anything in between! (IDK what that might mean, but just roll with it!)Sydney, Mike, and Dustin are all wonderful people, and Sydney fixed the horrific mess that another piercer had made of my ears earlier in the day. I came in bleeding, crying, and swollen, and walked out with a couple of lovely new piercings and instructions on how to quickly heal the other shops (who I will not name in this review) mistake.Thank you guys so, so much. You really are lifesavers, and Im going to recommend you to everyone who will listen to my crazy ranting.

Chose this place based on such great reviews and I have purchased jewelry from in the past and have seen people walk out with great tattoos. So I decided to go myself and clearly that was a big mistake... horrible outline, not shaded correctly. When I pointed it out, it was worked on for about two seconds and then I got the come back in a few weeks and Ill fix it why not just fix it then?! Will not be coming back and will be going elsewhere to get it fixed and done correctly.***** UPDATE *****Day 3 of having this tattoo and it is infected. Have done nothing different with taking care of it than any other time I got a tattoo. So yeah, theres that. Waste of money.

I got a tattoo by Oso. He was very accommodating to my immediate need for the tattoo (I was moving out of town and my friends and I all got the same tattoo). The people up front were friendly. Very clean and sanitary with your needles and ink. The artist wore gloves the entire time. It was a really good experience and I loved getting tattooed by Oso! It turned out fabulous and he listened to my requests and changes for the art I wanted. Rainbow P is very happy!! Thanks Oso!!

Great service! I went in for daith piercings for migraines and the service was very professional. The only downfall was the smell of cigarette smoke as that is a migraine trigger for me. Otherwise, very nice people.

Horrible service was told to come in for consultation then proceeded told to tell me they couldn’t even do my hand tattoo and the tall lanky guy with all the tattoos got an attitude about the tattoo already on my neck. Wouldn’t recommend.
