Fantastic give me 14 more of them!!! 🤣 Izzy was super chill and got the work done quick and efficient! My bestie and I came in for Friday 13th tattoos and were pleasantly surprised by the team and how still go happy they were to help. Especially with tattoos people dont see how much work goes into and always complain about a price I thought they did great handling petty people with the fits they thru over not getting a $20 tattoo. Go to the underpass then and get one 🤣 they were awesome! Look forward to going back!

I absolutely LOVE the artists at Next Wave off of University Dr in Mesa!! My partner and I have gotten tattooed multiple times by SuzieQ and Izzy and have been met with nothing but respect, professionalism, humor, and amazing tattoos! I HIGHLY recommend both of them and the other artists at this shop! Their work has never let me down! 😊🤩 My leg sleeve, woman on arm, and BF’s bear was done by Suzie, while the vase, flowers with skulls under knee, coffee mug, and BF’s anime tattoo was Izzy. If you want good vibes, laughs, a safe and comfortable space to get your tattoo work done, this is THE place!

New to the area and looked all over for an artist that I could see working with me for a while! Found Parker (@pv_tattoos) on Instagram and liked what I saw, so sent him a dm. I needed a coverup done and it was a dark and weird shaped one. Parker had me come in for a consult and we made a plan. I could not be happier with the outcome and the artist. Parker was absolutely amazing and made sure I was happy and 100% sure with the design. He killed this and we are already planning to add more. Parker’s lines are so clean and the tattoo itself was not painful at all, Parker’s got a great touch and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. All the other artists there were so nice and kept looking at the piece. Such a cohesive studio with artists who genuinely care about each other and their clients. Could not recommend them any more!! Literally telling anyone who will listen to go see Parker!! So excited to keep adding more art with Parker :)

Went in recently to get a tattoo done by Parker and I am beyond happy with how it came out! The line work is beautiful and the coloring left me speechless. To say I fell in love with the outcome is an understatement. Cheery on top the atmosphere of the shop was welcoming and the vibes were top tier. Super stoked I finally found an artist and shop I trully like!

I had the pleasure of working with Parker last week, he is very kind, responsive and very talented. I have been tattooed by a few different person (good and bad) and I can positively say I will be returning to him for sure. Parker has a one of a kind personality in my opinion and is an easy person to get along with. Visited from CA, from setting up the appointment thru email and getting tattooed by Izzy everything was great! The shop was well cleaned, the music was solid and the artists there were good vibes! Loved it and will definitely be going back!

I recently had the pleasure of getting a floral tattoo at Next Wave Tattoo by Izzy, and it was truly the best tattoo experience Ive ever had. From the moment I walked in, the vibes were perfect. The shop had a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere that immediately put me at ease.Izzy was incredible. Despite handling a rough customer before me with such politeness and professionalism, she remained calm and understanding. She helped ease my nervousness and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process.What impressed me the most was how Izzy wasnt in a rush to get me in and out. She took the time to talk with me, genuinely caring about my input and how the tattoo would turn out. She offered helpful advice on the placement of the tattoo without being pushy, providing the pros and cons of different locations.During the tattooing process, the camaraderie among the artists was evident. They treated each other like family, cracking jokes and being incredibly kind and awesome. This positive environment made the experience even more enjoyable.One thing to note is that Izzy might be a bit slow to respond to texts if youre impatient like me. Just know that she will respond, and she has other customers as well. Be patient with her; its worth the wait!I cant recommend Next Wave Tattoo and Izzy enough. Have taken my daughter for piercings at the other location and the experience has always been great! Took her to this location for her 1st tattoo and it was awesome! What can I say about NextWave? I love it? Erica is my girl! She’s super patient and creative, her color work is gorg and she loves cats as much as I do. We’re working on my arm. Kenny did my piercings a few years ago, that was great (his work is incredible) and the place is incredible.

Came in to do my belly button and get my girlfriend her first ear piercings, Katie did a wonderful and fast job and gave clear after care instructions, she was a delight! Will be back to see her to get future work done!

Kenneth did a cover up of a cover up of a cover up for me. Lol. He listened to me unlike the first one who did the basic blue rose. Kenneth worked the colors wonderfully! It meant a lot to me as this tatto is a memorial piece and represent the colors of stillborn ribbon (pink and blue) I didn’t want a basic ribbon. I wanted a beautiful rose. I regret not going to him at first but I don’t regret going to him to getting it fixed and super appreciative of him willing to. It’s a tattoo I’ll always cherish. I’m planning on booking him again this year to do other pieces as soon as he opens up his books. The shop was a great environment. Professional but you can tell all the artists there vibe well with each other. I got this done 5/5/2020 and it’s still a very positive memorable experience for me. Thanks again Kenneth! Went to this place the other day to get a hand tattoo and the tattoo artist Parker was really kind and fast. got my tattoo done in 30 mins. 10/10 highly recommend

I stopped in to get some feedback about covering up and old tattoo I got when I was pretty young. The old tattoo was not giant, but big enough to make me a little concerned, thinking I might be out of luck. I have almost a sleeve, and the upper portion in general was just garbage. Kenneth and Erika were both really helpful, honest and not in any way condescending or rude during a quick initial consultation. Nice folks and very professional. I was confidently reassured. Fast forward a week later, Rogelio worked with me and came up with an awesome design! For my budget- the tattoo was much larger then I expected (Which I was happy about) He did a great job! Very helpful about aftercare also. Note some more old work I have can be seen towards the bottom...already plotting another visit to have more done!

The 4 hour drive was absolutely worth it! Found Kenneth Shaw’s work via Instagram and couldn’t be happier to have my once ugly tattoos turned into beauty. Clean shop, great staff, highly recommend!

This place was excellent!! My wife came in to get matching tattoos with her childhood friend and Joe Garner helped them out and he rocked! He was accommodating with some last minute size changes and adjustments, his attention to detail was superb. Plus the guys working there seem to genuinely be having a good time and had some interesting banter which made the time waiting fun. All in all will be going back in the future for some more work by that good man Joe!

I got tattooed by Alex, and let me tell you she is amazing! Not only did she get back to me super quick when I was asking to see if she could do a certain design. But she also makes sure you feel welcomed and comfortable. If you’re looking to get something done make sure you go and see Alex I love her designs and she gave me exactly what I wanted. Walked in and my friend and I wanted to get matching tats with a very limited time frame and Jared got ours done so quick and easy! I was getting my tattoo and I was falling asleep through my tattoo. My tattoo artist Isela checked on me to make sure that I was OK that I didn’t pass out or if I needed any water or if I needed a break. I had a amazing time at this location they were extremely friendly and helpful. The team took their time to get my design right but were also quick and efficient. My tattoo artist was Josh and he was awesome! I wanted to have more added on but he suggested giving him some time to come up with some great design ideas and I definitely respected that, instead of someone just giving you something on the spot you may not like! I think they have a great creative team that keeps their clients best interests at heart and Ill definitely continue going back to Next Wave for my tattoos and piercings! So I highly recommend them to anyone else looking for a great experience because you will get it without a doubt.

I’m so glad I came here for my piercing. I had a symmetrical double eyebrow piercing from a different shop a couple months ago where one of the piercings was too shallow and had to be taken out - Jacob repierced it for me. Incredibly grateful for his attention to detail - mirroring/ (re)creating symmetry with an existing piercing from someone else’s hand in a very prominent place on my face. I was picky and he worked with me - placing and replacing the marks on my face until it was right and absolutely nailed it, not to mention how comfortable he made me feel in his chair. I’m skipping the middle man and going straight to Jacob next time I get a new piercing.

My piercer was very professional and made me feel very comfortable. I got three piercings at once - my septum, nose, and lip- and he gave me some time after each one to prepare myself for the next. I also got a hoop on one that I already had for a bit. He let me know what he would be doing to each one and how he would approach it. I loved this place and I can’t wait to come back and get my belly button pierced or even get a tattoo! They are so talented and I just loved the atmosphere.

Next Wave is the absolute best tattoo & Piercing shop Ever!!!!! It is so clean inside and super nice! All of the artists make you feel so comfortable and they are all so truly talented. Kenneth is my favorite artist but all of them are SO AMAZING! If my kids decide when they are enough to have piercings or tattoos I would not send them anywhere else but here because of the talent, cleanliness and friendliness of this shop! Hard a hard time finding a shop available for walk-ins on Saturday (totally are fault for not scheduling an apt.) They we’re able to get us in with no problem! Josh did an awesome job with some lettering we needed done. His line work is incredible, looks like someone gave us a stamp of what we asked for. Definitely will be coming back!

I love this shop! Best experience Ive had in a very long time. Laid back artists that really listen a create amazing work. Went in for a Traditional Japanese Samurai face, got hooked up with Rogelio, a week later he sends me the rendering and I was blown away with the work. Start to finish took about 4.5 hours, Rogelio was attentive and detail oriented. I left with the most amazing piece of art. He has definitely earned my sleeve business. I cannot say enough amazing things about this shop. I’ve been in twice in a month. Once for a nose piercing and once for a tattoo. Both times I was blown away. Ericka did my tattoo which was a 20 year old cover up and I am over the moon in love. Part of why I waited so long to do the cover up was because I’ve seen how poorly they can be done in other shops. I didn’t want some dark cloud of black over the original tattoo somewhat made to blend into new ink. The colors are amazing, the design is awesome and there is zero trace of the original tattoo underneath. I was there for 3-4hrs and had an awesome interaction with everyone working there. The entire shop was crazy busy and everyone was doing such incredible pieces. The quality is impeccable, the cost is crazy affordable, and Ericka and I laughed the whole time she did the tattoo. I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone. I am obsessed.

I moved to the area a couple years ago and recently started looking for a shop. As a person with a handful of tattoos already, I was a little nervous to come because I made my decision off of reviews and some pictures online. I went in and met the owner Kenneth. He was very kind and made me feel very comfortable. I was able to get an appointment within a couple weeks to start my half sleeve. I had my first session last week which went perfect. It was a very friendly atmosphere and although I havent finished my tattoo yet, it is looking so amazing so far and is healing great. Im looking forward to my appointment next month and would highly recommend him to anyone I know! Also very reasonably priced!

I got a tattoo on Saturday last week and i was a walk in and I went to Rogillio, and let me say he did a fantastic job. He really took his time with drawing it out, placing it and tattooing. He was professional and the art was just amazing 10/10 recommend going! I will be back to finish the rest of my arm with him.

I had the BEST experience with Rob last week at the University Dr. location. I was visiting from NYC and got a matching tattoo with my brother. It was my first tattoo and he explained the whole process thoroughly, answered all of my questions and it was totally painless. My tattoo looks great and is healing well. The location was clean and everyone was super friendly. I will definitely be going back next time I visit Mesa!

I got a nose piercing here. It was my first time getting any piercings besides ears and they are fully equipped to handle all your piercing needs. It was quick and surprisingly less painful than I thought it would be. The staff is super nice and friendly, the place is clean, and they are very good about aftercare. If I ever get another piercing Ill be coming here again.I also received a coupon for a tattoo after getting my piercing, which I figured might be worth including. And I really appreciated that the jewelry came included in the piercing price, that they adjusted it to my needs, and that it was very high quality.

I went to JZ for my nipple piercings and she did such an amazing job and made it an amazing experience! I was very nervous to get them done and she made me feel so relaxed and comfortable, answered all my questions, and was so friendly and patient with me! I was a walk in and I wasnt expecting to get anything. Then I saw how clean and friendly the people who work there are. I looked at all of their portfolios and their work was absolutely amazing. Everyone at Next Wave has real talent. Then one of the artist (his name escapes me at the moment) had an opening for that day and I got tatted on my elbow. I swear it was one of the best tattoo experiences of my life. The guy had a light hand and worked very fast. He did an awesome job on a difficult spot of the body but its everything I wanted. Thanks so much Next Wave for giving me an experience I will always remember, I will definitely be coming back soon.

I had work done by Sean and Rogelio. Both artist did such a great job Im thinking of more work to have done. The shop is clean the tattoo artists all had great personalities and what I loved the most was the willingness I received to tattoo me on the spot for a couple extra pieces I wanted done that day. That in itself made me feel like if it was important to me it was important to them. I know some artist prefer appointments but being able to do something on a day I was free really made the experience so much better and exciting. I will be back

Ive been going to Next Wave for a long time now and they are truly some of the best artists and people I know. Kenneth takes time to listen to your ideas and turn them into beautiful ink that lasts a long time. I have not needed a touch up on any of the work he has done over the years. If you ask his opinion, he will give it to you in a caring professional manner that makes you at the very least consider what he is saying. I’ve been to Next Wave several times in the past few years. The shop is always well kept and I always leave happy. I consulted with Erica about starting a sleeve and she did an amazing job on our first session. She was attentive to my needs and produced amazing art work!

Finally got brave enough for my first tattoo and came to Next Wave Tattoo to have it done. My artist Joe Garner put me at ease and did a wonderful job with my tattoo. It turned out beautiful! Would definitely recommend this shop. Reasonable pricing, friendly staff and really nice work!

I went to next wave to get a very special tattoo for my 36th birthday representing my family. Joe is such a cool guy who does amazing work and I did my best to take it like a man. My family chest piece I got it was a rosary with the names of all of my kids and my wife. It came out very clean and I was able to carry on a conversation with my artist Joe. I highly recommend him or just going to that shop period. I will definitely be back for more future work and left really happy with the piece I had got from Joe. Staff was awesome and so was my tattoo. Next wave rocks!!!!

Went in last Saturday and got a matching tattoo with my mom. It was her first tattoo, and Kenneth made her feel comfortable and excited to get her first tattoo! The tattoos turned out great, and they are healing great. It was a pretty simple tattoo, but he still managed to have finesse. All the employees were great and funny. The place got really busy during out appimointment, which is understandable and Kenneth handled it well. Oh and the prices are very reasonable. I will definitely be back here again!

Always super friendly staff ! I am a woos when it comes to piercings and I am always at ease with Kenneth. Joe is a fantastic tattoo artist ! He did a tattoo for me and two for my boyfriend and we couldnt be happier. Highly recommend this Next Wave establishment. We went to numerous other shops to get my niece her belly button pierced for her birthday, was met with less than stellar service, however we brought her here and Jacob was super professional and clean. Made her feel extremely comfortable and she’s so excited about it. My sister also got her nose done ✅ she got a double nose piercing now its done remarkably perfect. He directed us through everything and cleaned and sanitized everything between piercings. After us looking everywhere this is our go to 💯 highly recommend.

Next Wave Tattoos is the place to go for a fun, welcoming, and professional environment. All the tattoo artists greeted me when I came in and Joe stepped up to the plate with my tattoo. He drew out exactly what I wanted and killed it. He spent a lot of time paying attention to detail and made sure I left happy. Ken and Jose along with their apprentice Denice were super sociable and made the experience that much better. I have already scheduled my next appointment with these guys!

Was a walk in and they took care of my piercing right away. Waited about 10 minutes for a tattoo and Josh was great! Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a regular shop. The atmosphere is relaxed, shop is clean and conversation entertaining.

I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Erica tatted me and was kind and professional. I was nervous and she didnt make me feel ashamed of it. She did my tatt fairly quick and it turned out great. Three of us walked in and there was three people ahead of us in line but we decided to wait. Jose, the artist that tattooed two of us, was very friendly and efficient. He finished the three people ahead of us and quickly got us started. The atmosphere was great, everyone was in a positive mood and we didnt feel like an inconvenience. Jose did an excellent job and we would definitely recommend him to anyone. His artwork is impressive and his personality is great.

I was looking to come in just for a consultation, and was greeted by 2 tattoo artists and the apprentice. They took a look, gave me a price, and sat me down then and there.Jose was super funny, really sweet, and was a great comfort to be around. From the time I walked in, got the estimate, sent the reference, had a stencil, and got tattooed took about an hour. Maybe even an hour and a half.I got script and a butterfly, took up much of my forearm, for $100. He had the cleanest lines Ive seen in a while and this is now my favorite tattoo. The shop was clean, the people were friendly, and the entire process was incredibly smooth. Dont sleep on Next Wave. 10/10 would recommend. Thanks a bunch!!

Update #1: I have now gotten two tattoos from Jose, and had both daiths pierced by Kenneth. Jose has gone far beyond my expectations twice now, and am sure he will again for round 3. The piercing done by Kenneth was quick, clean, and I am happy with the results. Customer for life here!Jose is an excellent artist. Efficient, extremely personable, his line work and shading is excellent, and the atmosphere in the shop is great. I will most definitely be back here for my next tattoo.

Came to get my snakebites and septum re-pierced and JZ was AMAZING! loved her vibe and how thorough she was. Even though Ive had these piercings before she was still explaining everything and I love that. Whole shop was clean and friendly, I will definitely be coming back for more piercings with JZ. First off, I want to say that this shop looks very nice & clean. You can really tell how talented these artists are by looking at their past work on the walls! I came in yesterday as a walk in for a daith piercing. Kenneth got me in with in 5 minutes and he made the process very quick and easy. It was a lot less painful then i thought it would be! Im a super picky person, and after I saw Jose draw out the tattoo I wanted on the spot, I knew Id found my tattoo artist. Hes done every tattoo I have and is currently working on my back piece and sleeve. Hes super patient and open to incorporating the ideas I have and making them even better than I couldve imagined. Im a control freak and like to have things done a certain way and he always hears me out, makes me feel comfortable, and provides an excellent and clean tattoo. I love the creativity he brings to the ideas I have and how he takes his time with placement, ensuring the tattoo will continue looking good for years to come. Kenneth Shaw is a godsend!!! Hes the shop owner, a tattoo artist, and a piercer!!! Ill never go to another shop ever again! Tattoos by him just dont hurt as much as the other shop I went to when I was 18. Im not kidding!! This guy has the softest tattoo technique! And I didnt even need a touch up! I had an idea of what I wanted and after briefly explaining it to him he was able to draw something better than what I imagined. He was professional, reassuring, and patient. Very patient...I asked him to replace my stencil multiple times and he never made me feel rushed or uncomfortable. The studio was clean and welcoming. To say I have high standards is an understatement. I went in for a piercing after reading reviews. Easy to find, Next Wave was clean and friendly. The owner was helpful and efficient. The piercing was done quickly and I left with a packet of aftercare info. Im going to be going back in a couple weeks with my sister to get another piercing. Ive found my AZ tat shop!

I got my Tragus pierced here and it was quick and painless! I’m sharing my phenomenal experience with this shop! I got two tattoos for Friday the 13th, for $13 each, to begin they had many different designs to choose from. To start with I had to arrive around 10 am in order to get a good spot, they were very organized in getting paperwork filled out and even allowed me as a minor to get a tattoo(with parent consent). I choose kenneth to do my tattoos, he was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. talked me through the whole experience and reassured that i liked the placement of the tattoos as well as the design itself. Got my septum and my upper lobe done here by Jacob. The piercer is very sweet and made me feel super comfortable and relaxed, which I thought wouldnt happen because I hate needles and I have anxiety, but they know what to do. My artist, Jose, was very professional and an amazing tattooist. He knocked my tattoo out in about 45 minutes. My friend and I were just walk ins. I went here with my girlfriend and one of her friends. This was my very first tattoo and I was the only one with virgin skin out of the group. We all ended up getting work done here and we are all very pleased with what we got. My girlfriend and I both had our work done by Jose. He was very nice and helpful. Ive had three piercings done here. A helix and two doubles. My best friend got one done. Their piercer is great. We walked in without an appointment, and we were getting our piercings within 15 minutes. Loved this place. Highly recommended.

Ive now gone to this shop 14 times total to get work done. All the artist are friendly and clean as well as the shop is always clean. They are good at what they do and the prices are good. They make you feel welcome and comfortable. I like the conversation we have there and I like that I saw Ken outside the shop and he still spoke with me for a bit. My piercer was very professional, explained the full process of my nose piercing before beginning. And on e he had explained everything, it was a quick process from there. The piercing itself didn’t take longer than a quick second. I was sent home with proper after care instructions and a friendly thank you and smile. I look forward to going back to Next Wave for all of my piercing and tattoo needs.

I went and had my nose pierced at the location in Gilbert. The staff is very friendly and the piercer made me very comfortable! I loved her boots by the way and she was an absolute sweetheart. I will go back to them for any other piercing services and possibly a tattoo that I need to have re-done or a new one

I got both of my tattoos done by Kenneth shaw, and In my opinion he does beautiful artwork. He emphasizes every detail in each piece and his color pieces are spectacular Kenneth excels in realism and faces. As for Jose and Joe Ive seen them tattoo as well, and they also tattoo beautifully. Jose does excellent cartoon work and Joe is good at doing faces.

I just walked in randomly for a piercing, my boyfriend ended up getting a tattoo. Everyone at the shop was super friendly, the service was amazing. My boyfriend loves his tattoo and I love my piercing! I’m really happy to have found a place I can call home for any future tattoos/piercings I want!

I went to get my first face peircing here and was a little nervous. I walked in and was emediatly greeted with pleasant and helpful people that eased my worries completely. I was in and out within 15-20 minutes. And only cost me $40 not including the cleaning spray I bought. The person that did the actual peircing answered all of my questions before I even asked and the peircing itself didnt hurt any worse than an average flue shot. I definitely recommend. If I could give 6 stars I would. ( I promise this is a real review Im not a bot)

I got my back piece done by Kenneth @NextWaveTattoos&Piercings, and It is now my favorite piece i got! I was comfy throughout it all and it was almost a full day session! The piece was from one of my drawlings and Kenneth not only brought it to life but enhanced it!! Money, location and waiting list well worth it!

My daughter n i got piercings and he did it so fast it didnt even hurt. Every step he was doing he explained. It was very comforting. Thank you for doing such a great job. I was referred by my son who goes there as well so i definitely would recommend this shop

Ive been going here for about five years, and it feels like a second home. Kenneth is the best, he charges a very fair amount for high quality work. Joe and Huck are phenomenal too. Very clean, very professional; wouldnt recommend any other shop in Arizona.

I waited a while to write this review to put some thought into it. My son and I wanted to get similar tattoos with a special meaning. We made a very spontaneous decision and yesterday was the day. This was my 1st tattoo and I have heard every horror story there is and was honestly scared to death of the pain!.. My son has several tattoos and was very supportive. We called and made a walk in appointment. We were scheduled with Jose... This man is amazing. our tattoos are very simple with great meaning... Jose took our ideas and drew up two simple but amazing pieces. He new I was nervous and assured me that it would be fine with no pain. This man knows his stuff. And he is hilarious. We laughed and joked with him while he was getting ready. He station is impeccable and extremely clean... You can tell Jose cares about his art and that NextWave cares about their customers. The shop was extremely clean. Jose was right.... There was no pain... Did I feel it? Yes I felt it... but the dentist causes me more pain. Before the tattoo was finished I was thinking about getting my next one. Both pieces of art, while they were not great colorful masterpieces came out amazing. I just visited Next Wave and had a piercing done. I was very nervous but they put my mind at ease. They are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly people. The shop looks clean and professional and I loved seeing all of their art on the walls. I definitely recommend this place.

Been there several times now with my wife. The guys are great at what they do and they’re friendly. I can’t wait until my next visit. I would definitely recommend Next Wave to anybody that’s looking to get some work done. The last thing is the pricing which is amazing. Can’t beat em. I went to Next Wave because I found Kenneth Shaw on instagram and loved his work!! Super nice guy and he knows what he is doing, has been tattooing a very long time!! i got a cool cancer symbol tattoo and I took a first timer with me. Very professional and clean, they make sure they explain everything to you and ensure that you are comfortable! after the tattoo was finished Kenneth gave my friend and i a little goodie bag with next wave stickers and business cards which was so nice!! Pricing is fair and all of the staff is really cool (: Definitely recommend ! This is also the get what you get tattoo spot where you can get one of those sticker machine tatts that are random (filled with stencils drawn by the artists there), Not for me but if youre feeling spontaneous it is such a cool idea ! ALSO i had been dying to get tattooed by Kenneth and he actually worked with me super last minute to make it happen! (:

I followed my tattoo artist, Emma, to this shop and I have to say the atmosphere of this shop was much better, friendlier, and was very clean. Emma always does great work and Ill be back to get another tattoo very soon! :)

Yesterday, I went in for a walk in appointment. I was excited they were able to fit me in on such short notice. The artist I worked with took down my number and gave me a call when it was time to come back in. I’m really thankful that he was respectful of my time and let me go home versus being left waiting for an extended period of time in the shop.When I came back, the artist showed me the drawing and I was in love with the design. Next, we discussed placement. The tattoo was going on my forearm, below an upside down wrist tattoo I had done when I was younger. I asked the artist if we could see what the drawing looked facing the same direction of my wrist tattoo. He told me it was the ‘wrong’ way and made me feel like it wasn’t an option. It felt strange that my desires were not fully taken into consideration for the art piece going on my body, but I shrugged it off. He was the professional. I do understand that there is a proper way for alignment on the body, but I already had one tattoo that is upside down on that arm. In the end, I agreed to align the tattoo the proper way since that was his recommendation and I respected that. It did end up looking nice this way, and I don’t regret listening to him, but I didn’t feel good about the conversation we had to get to that point.The rest of the process was really smooth until the tattoo was completed. He had put some green in the stars like he suggested before we started, but I had initially thought it would be a softer look. I simply asked if there was a way to blend it in more since I wasn’t 100% comfortable with it. I didn’t mean to offend him at all, but it seemed like he was upset that I made the request. Instead of taking a moment to explain to me that it would look good once the skin calm down, he was already blending the color in more and was done with 2-3 stars before he explained that it was probably just the skin being irritated and he could always have fixed it during a touch up if I didn’t like it after it healed. At that point I couldn’t trust his initial instinct because he already had started on my request. I felt very awkward after the exchange, but we were almost done, so it wasn’t a huge deal.When I went up to pay I was expecting a conversation about how little time the tattoo took compared to what he expected (it only took an hour) and that the price would be different than what we initially agreed on ($250). This appeared to be the case when he kept saying $150 when talking about the final cost, but then he suddenly said ‘oh yeah we agreed $250’ and charged my card for $250. I didn’t say anything because I did agree on that amount and it was a walk in. I was feeling extremely uncomfortable at this point and I just wanted to go home. I was thankful he got me in, but I definitely felt I was over charged for the work I received. Especially since the shop website states their hourly rate is $120.Overall, I’m okay with the tattoo and I’m sure I’ll grow to love it just like my other pieces. I was not a fan of the experience I had and left feeling anxious and rude, despite only trying to communicate my needs throughout the process. Looking back, I probably could have done a better job communicating, but the artist should have met me halfway. I’ll definitely be thinking twice about doing another walk in the future.Edit: the artist’s name was Josh.

I had a very good visit. I do no have many tats so me experience is what lacks. This was the sixth shop that I visited, but after talking with Kenneth I knew that taking the time to talk with different artist was worth the time and effort. Very professional and made everything as comfortable as possible.

Went and got my piercings done again and as usual Kenneth is professional, quick & talented. Not to mention nice looking, too! Relaxing atmosphere! Will be back to get some touch ups on older tats that I have.

So Great!!! Have tons of tattoos and have been trying to find a place to go for the rest that I wanted for years now. We found Joe and not only is he kind and fun he is talented, honest, and an amazing tattoo artist. Cant wait for our next tattoo and our next after that. Referring all friends for sure!

Last week, I finally built up the courage to get the dermal piercings that Ive been wanting for years done and after calling a few tattoo & piercing shops near me, I found New Wave. I got my back dimples and one near to my eye. The guy was super helpful and patient with my indecisiveness and questions. The price I paid was great compared to other shops and the other shop workers were just as friendly. I will definatly be back to Nee Wave for any other piercings or tattoos I decide to get!

Kenneth, Jose, and joe are the best! The shop is amazing, encoring and all around wonderful. I’ve never felt more comfortable in a tattoo shop! Their work is also amazing, I go there for pretty much all of my tattoos and now piercings

Sean did great work! I got a black work forearm piece with lots of details and meticulous dot shading. The shop was clean and very accommodating. I plan on returning to finish my sleeve.

Omg so i get all my piercings done here SUCH AMAZING PRICES! I trust them 10/10 i been going here since i was 14 for sure worth it! Best place to go too. Absolutely LOVE this shop! I got my first tattoo here and I’m a drama queen but they were so cool and nice to me! My boyfriend went to a different shop and they missed a line and Next Wave fixed it for him! They are awesome!
