I got my first tattoo done by Heather on Thursday and she did an incredible job from start to finish. I had a lot of anxiety about the experience and possible pain but immediately felt at ease when I got to the shop.Her workspace was immaculate and the shop itself was open and inviting. Heathers positive energy and excellent communication really put me at ease. I could have slept through parts of the process.I designed the tattoo myself, it is very detailed script in a fantasy language. She did a beautiful job and I know Ill be back to her for future pieces. Ive already recommended her to several friends.

I went to the Alchemy Nashville to receive my very first tattoo and Heather did absolutely amazing! Not only did she exceed my expectations but she was so welcoming and her work is stunning! I have already recommended her to my friends and I will definitely be back!

Julian is incredibly talented! He specializes in black and grey realism but has worked very hard on my colorful sleeve. Im always happy to see him and get needled for hours 😄

I had the best experience with Alchemy!!!! The atmosphere is so lovely, and everyone is super nice and excellent at what they do. I had the pleasure of getting a tattoo from Tai, who is fantastic, and it was so easy to set up and do the placement and color selection with her. She makes sure the client is happy with placement and sizing and color and wont make anyone feel bad for making adjustments, which is so important. 10/10 recommend getting work done here!!!

I just got a tattoo from Heather and it was a great experience. She was very easy to reach via email to schedule since I was coming from Alabama. I chose her specifically for her fine line work. She really grasped what I wanted and did an excellent job. Beyond that, the shop was LGBTQ friendly and felt very welcoming. They follow good guidelines to clean the shop and limit the number of people during covid. And although I didnt need them, I was amused and pleased to see that they had condoms and dental dams in the bathroom for clients to take. Im overall very pleased with my experience and my tattoo, and will make the drive again when Im ready to get more done.

The newest of my several tattoos done by Tai. Tai is an amazing artist and I have been going to her for about 10 years and never plan on going to anyone else. Her care about her work and for her clients is amazing. Im not always the best at articulating my thoughts and putting it into art, but she does an amazing job of understanding what Im saying and manifesting it. Her humor also helps distract from the pain and make it a much more pleasant experience. It is well worth the three hours it takes me to get to her shop.

I have found my tattoo shop! Justin Gill is the man! He just finished a cover up piece on my hand and it is DOOOOOOPE! Quick, personable, very professional, and friendly! And the shop is BEAUTIFUL!! He is now my go to guy!!! Thanks Justin and Heather!!Alicia

I found Alchemy Nashville because it was close to me and, more importantly, many of the tattoo artists were female. The inside of the building is very clean and well demarcated between clients / artists. The decor was beautiful and friendly and the music was not too loud. I was treated with politeness the entire time by everyone I encountered and was very impressed with the environment.Heather was my tattoo artist and she was amazing! She worked with me on my design first through email and then on the day of the appointment. She was very knowledgeable and helpful as we tweaked the design together. Her station was clean and well organized and we had a great conversation during the session.I was very pleased with the tattoo I received and I felt that the pricing was fair for the quality of the work and environment. I will definitely come back for touchups and my next tattoo.

Devon is an artist I had followed for a few years online and when her books opened for 2022 I jumped. I am so glad I did, Devons art style is phenomenal and her work is gorgeous. Shes efficient, clean, friendly, and does her homework so that everything is perfect beforehand. Its hard to pick what is her strongest point - her linework, color techniques, or her overall ability to create a true masterpiece. I cannot recommend her enough - truly one of the best artists Ive had the pleasure to meet and work with. When I am ready for a new tattoo, I will be back.

After checking their website out and feeling Julian’s work was best for what I’m desiring I filled out the form and was contacted within a reasonable amount of time by both shop and artist.I came in for my consultation and Julian made me feel very comfortable, the establishment feels safe and is clean and chill with a good vibe,It was a great consultation We got down to what it is that I am desiring and where the placement will be of the tatoo, was able to schedule and secure my appointment with a reasonable deposit price and now looking forward to the next month helping send ideas for designing what this tattoo is going to come out looking like!Definitely a 5 star first time experience, will leave another review with tatoo when fully finished. 🤗

Got my tattoo done by Heather & she’s dope! When you walk in the shop has good energy. Heather is super talented & her energy matched. I wanted my mom’s name on my wrist. I asked for dainty but detailed & she killed it. I absolutely love it! Oh I’m scared of needles too lol & she was so light handed I could barely feel it! Definitely going back.

My tattoo artist was Heather! I found Heather via instagram at inkbyhb! My experience was nothing short of perfect! She was knowledgeable about different colors showing on African American skin tones. She was patient and detailed with me as I changed a few things right before. She takes her time to make sure she understands your vision and perfects it! Her workspace was clean and well kept. Oh and by the way SHE IS NOT HEAVY HANDED and that was a blessing! Definitely recommend 20 out of 10 for sure!

I cannot even begin to tell you what an amazing experience Ive had over the last 5 years working with Tai on my sleeves. I get constant compliments on my ink. She did an amazing job with the cover up and design work on my first one. After that experience, I KNEW I wanted to work with her to balance out my ink on the other arm. I knew her vision, talent and aesthetic was what I needed to complete the dream I had. I couldnt be happier. The shop is clean,comfortable and private. She is the consummate professional with a warm, quirky, soulful personality and great sense of humor. Not only is she an amazing artist and tattooer, shes just an awesome human being.

Tais work is absolutely phenomenal! I get compliments on my jungle sleeve every where I go. Not only are her tattooing skills out of this world but shes a wonderful person to work with. Shes always on time and doesnt cancel on you. She takes your idea and makes it her own. She has never failed me on what she comes up with. Shes got mad skills! One other thing, shes super efficient. She has all the top qualities youd want your tattooer to have. Another plus is that she doesnt smoke so not only is she being good to her body but shes doesnt take a million smoke breaks like some tattooers do. I promise you cant go wrong if you go see Tai. Shell take the absolute best care of you and make sure you have a lovely tattooing experience! :)

Tai is such a creative person. I had never had a tattoo before and was unsure of the placement/scale that I wanted. She listened to my ideas and provided awesome ideas to adjust the concept. I am from out of town and throughout the entire process, she maintained clear communication. She was extremely professional. The area was clean , she opened the needles right when she started and confirmed my idea and placement. She is easy to communicate with and I felt completely at ease. I love my owl and I’ve had many compliments on it. I can’t wait to get back to Nashville to add on. You can’t go wrong with Tai!!!

I’ve used Tai as my artist since 2010, and honestly, since the first piece she’s done for me I have refused to use anyone else. For reference I have 8 tattoos, and she has done the last 3 of them, to include both of the half sleeves on my arms. I even scheduled one of them with her after I moved to Tulsa, OK, and came back to Nashville when she could fit me in.I know there are other great artists out there but I have been extremely happy with the work she’s done, and even though some of my pieces are older they’ve held up well and I get compliments and inquiries as to who did them every time someone sees them. I constantly refer people to her and I’m confident I won’t have anyone else ever do any major pieces for me.She’s awesome at helping you take an idea or concept and putting it into a piece of art you can’t help but be excited about, great with scheduling and even if it takes a while to get on her appointment books it is definitely worth the wait.

It took me years to find an artist Im comfortable with! Im impressed by her tattoo work, and I like that she has a history with fine art and painting murals. I feel like a blank canvas when shes working her magic. I often find myself daydreaming of what tattoo I want next, and I cant wait to get back in her chair!

If you want a great experience getting your first or 50th tattoo Alchemy is the place to go. Tai has a very clean, inviting ,unique tattoo shop. She’s very knowledgeable on placement and size. Tai really made my vision of my sea tattoo come to life. She created a piece that is one of a kind and so beautiful. This was my first color tattoo and I could not be happier. Also I’m from California and I plan to make my way back to Nashville for another amazing tattoo or to possibly add to my current piece. She gave me the option to leave it as is or to add. I was introduced to Tais work after seeing a friends custom half sleeve. The attention to detail and originality were mind-blowing and I knew I had to contact her for a floral leg piece I wanted. I gave her free rein as far as design goes, and she created a stunning piece for me that was more than I could imagine! I definitely recommend her for her incredible talent and creativity.

Buyer beware. I had email conversations with both one of the artists & the owner. Then they each suddenly quit conversing, with no explanation. I still dont know why. The conversation was about payment & I was NOT haggling or anything like that on price. That makes me suspicious that something shady is going on. I really wanted to get my next tattoo here & by a female artist, but that is not going to happen. Communication is a key factor is success, and Alchemy definitely lacks it. Super disappointed.

I went in to get some work done on my arm by Tai and she was very professional. The piece looks great and Im much looking forward to getting more done by her. If anyone in Nashville is looking for ink you should definitely check out Tai.

Tai has done several tattoos for me and they have came out great. I love how she is so down to earth and great at her job.
