I had a very old tattoo that I didnt feel confident with and I had wanted a real change for a long time. When I saw Chippers work I was very pleased with all his designs, so I decided to trust my intuition and I am extremely happy, he knows how to understand what you want, and immediately gives you a lot of confidence. The experience was great, he is very professional and during the time he was doing his magic, he made me laugh a lot, so I enjoyed it. The result of course exceeded my expectations, I made no mistake in choosing this great artist, I am in love with my tattoo.

I came to Chip with a portrait of my late pup of 13 years, and a few photos of blue jays along with some close ups of my infant daughters eyes I wanted to incorporate in that piece. I loved getting to know Chip over the next few hours as he diligently worked on my arm. He never met my pup and hadnt met my daughter, but it was clear he valued what these pieces meant to me, and took care to create true artwork that honored my loves. When he finished and I was able to see his work for the first time, I was floored. I saw my daughters eyes in the jay birds coloring. The photo I gave him of my pup was after she had already gotten sick-- but I got emotional when I saw her happy, healthy, vibrant face again: Thats Abigail. Thats the girl I knew... His signature watercolor style and bubble accents bring an almost whimsical feel to already impressive images. These arent tattoos; this is art.Chipper Harbin is a genuinely great man and spectacular artist. Chipper is truly awesome at what he does. I had him finish up a piece on my forearm sleeve for a trash polka piece and not only was he a super cool guy but he legit nailed it out of the park. Booked an appointment with Chip for early September of this year. Drove all the way to Nashville to get my next tattoo, as he was recommended by a friend. His shop was clean, professional, and very welcoming. I was shown two designs for my tattoo, and both blew me away. The quality, talent, and time put into my sketches was apparent, and I could not have been happier with the results. The tattoo went well, with no issues, and Chip was professional and personable throughout the whole process. I absolutely love it and would not hesitate to get another tattoo with Chipper Harbin Tattoos. 12/10 worth the trip!

Got some art from Chip done a week ago. The tattoo turned out badass and Chip was awesome to hang out with while it happened. Work was done before I knew it and absolutely took my breath away.

I reached out to Chipper to see if he could make a terrible tattoo into something I’d be proud to show off. I sent him a pic of the tattoo along with a few reference pics of what I was looking for and then let him have creative freedom for the rest. We drove to Nashville for a 1/2 day session and let me just say, what I left there with was a true piece of art on my arm that I’m completely in love with. The entire experience was amazing. I’ll definitely go back to see Chipper for my next tattoo!

Amazing experience. Chipper is so fun to work with! I gave him my plans and ideas and he turned it into something better than I could have hoped for with his unique watercolor style. Chipper is a total pro. Hed done a lot of preparation before my appointment but was also open to my feedback and ideas. It was a truly collaborative and fun process to come up with the final design. Then he got to work, ensuring a comfortable environment. I was amazed at how fast yet accurate he was, and how beautifully the tattoo came out! I cant recommend Chip highly enough!

Getting a tattoo was a huge decision for me, and I put a ton of research into the process. During that research, I came across Chippers work and I knew that this was the guy I wanted to do my first tattoo. I just got my first tattoo with Chip last week and the entirety of the experience was excellent. Im from out of the area and it was worth the travel to get to him imo.He was extremely professional, his studio is clean and calm, he did a great job in easing my concerns about getting tattooed for the first time, and thats not even getting to the art he did. I am so happy with how he took the vision I had and made it into something beautiful. I will 100% be coming back to him for future tattoos and have already been recommending him to my friends.

We all know that getting a tattoo is a big investment. More often than not, it is a badge that we have earned with figurative (and/or literal) blood, sweat and tears. So of course we want to love the end product; but what about our expectations of the actual tattoo experience? I have to admit, I had never really put much thought into the latter. If youre looking for a watercolor tattoo, Chipper is your guy. I have zero creativity, he was able to create what I wanted and made it so much better than I expected. Of course, I had high expectations after seeing his work but its so much better than I hoped for. The studio was clean and everyone was nice and professional. Chipper was fun to work with and chatted through the whole process. If you are having art placed on your body forever make sure to go with the best and chipper is by far the best in Nashville! When I need another paw print added as these are my dogs actual prints, I will definitely be calling him for the appointment!

Had my first tattoo ever with Chipper, it was a great experience. My brother has a been a repeat customer for years and I finally decided to get one done. He was great to work with, very professional and took away the intimidation behind getting a tattoo. Chipper did such an amazing job fixing my old tattoo. I was so surprised at how amazing it turned out. On top of good work, he made me feel comfortable with his studio setup, conversation, and willingness to take breaks if I needed. (Luckily it went so quickly I didnt need any.) I have worked with Chipper now twice and plan on having him finish my sleeve. His artistry pours out in everything he does not just the tattoo he puts on your skin! Chipper is THE BEST. My full forearm tattoo took less than 2 hours, he was super accommodating about my comfort level - from letting me know that the front door would be locked during my stay, to offering water, coffee, etc and letting me pick the music.His art is incredible - that does without saying - I would 100% go back!!

After a not perfect experience at a tattoo shop in my hometown of Clarksville, I contacted Chipper to improve my existing tattoo. From the beginning he knew exactly what I wanted. He even used the word dainty, which totally described the look I desired.Chipper got to know me and my tattoo buddy before he started, telling us his history in tattooing. He listened to my suggestions while making his own, too. He added and added to my tattoo until it was perfect. He followed up soon afterwards, and answered my questions immediately when I had thoughts/questions a week in. Almost 3 weeks later I am totally loving my ink! I highly recommend Chipper for the experience, artwork and color you cant find anywhere else...5 stars!

I can’t recommend Chipper enough, if your considering him for your tattoo don’t even second guess it and just book it. I am currently 2 sessions into a sleeve that he is working on for me and it couldn’t have been an easier process. The man is a true artist, I can’t wait to get back in for my next session and see what he comes up with. It doesn’t hurt that he’s a cool dude which helps the session fly by with good conversations and tunes.

I came to Chipper with an idea for my tattoo and let him use his unique artistic style to create my tattoo. He did my first tattoo and then added to it to make it a half sleeve. His style make his tattoos recognizable and sought after by people trying to step away from the typical idea of what a tattoo looks like. Every time he makes a tattoo he makes something that is truely art.

I went for a tattoo session with him December 2018 and more recently November 2019. Both sessions were great. He captured the vision of what I wanted and added so much life to it. He even talked me through, after asking if I wanted to continue working with him, how we could connect the tattoos to make it one piece. I appreciate that a lot as I myself and am not the artist. Hes got great time management, friendly and does incredible work. I will go back to him for probably every tattoo I get from now on.

Everything was perfect! The communication was uncomplicated although Im from Germany and we only had contact by email. The whole experience was amazing. My cousin and I both lost a child less than a year ago,and decided to get memorial tattoos. We found Chipper on Instagram and decided to book a session with him. The studio was clean, the location was easy to find. He is , by far, the most personable artist that I’ve ever been to. It was my cousin’s first tattoo and he put her at ease almost immediately. A day that could’ve been sad ( because of the circumstances) ended up being a fun and cathartic experience for both of us. He listened to our stories, and was able to turn those emotions into beautiful art. And when I say art, I mean it! I have tattoos but THIS one is so much more than that. I’ve had so many people ask if it was a real tattoo. I’ll also mention here that my mother absolutely HATES tattoos but she LOVES this one! As for me, I’m STILL staring at it! I have had the pleasure of getting tattooed twice by Chip one on each side of my head. Not only was he very professional during the session, but the weeks leading up to it he worked so hard making sure the piece was right. Chip killed my tattoo cover up / add on! Couldn’t be more happy with the outcome of his creative input. He pushed the limits on what I thought was possible for a cover up.
