Good Tattoo

Just finished a 1/2 sleeve with Melissa here and I could not be more pleased. I wish I could give this studio more stars. Scheduling was easy. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The studio itself is pleasant and clean. Melissa went above and beyond to make me comfortable. She is truly an exceptional artist. The shading she did on my 1/2 sleeve was incredible.

Billy did a cute lil matching tattoo set for me and my brother. Very kind and very accommodating. Here is mine 9 months healed.

I got my first tattoo with Melissa and it was a fantastic experience. She is great and did an amazing job. I 1000% recommend her.

Billy was a great tattooist. Very personable and great attention to detail. Knocked out both my and my sisters tattoos within two hours. Will definitely be back.

I had an absolutely wonderful first tattoo experience here. Booked a completely last minute flash and Mikey got me in the same weekend for my first tattoo! I felt comfortable the entire time, and the place was just full of good vibes! Everyone was so nice, everything was clean, comfortable and professional. I am so so happy with my tattoo and WILL be back for sure. Cannot recommend them enough.

Billy and the team at Good Tattoo are all great professionals to work with. The vibe is super chill and fun. As a woman getting tattooed I’ve been to shops that are super intimidating and at Good Tattoo I’ve always felt welcomed and safe. Billy has done a full sleeve and took my random thoughts and put them together into just what I was looking for. Check them out if you’re looking for some well done ink.

I’ve gotten three tattoos here so far and plan on getting many more. Sini is an incredible artist! The shop is easy to get to and easy to park. I can’t say enough good things about this place!

Good Tattoo!!! I’ve been getting tattooed there since they opened. Always friendly, inviting, and clean. Melissa has been tattooing me for about 15 years and never disappoints. Melissa’s attention to detail and artistic insight are phenomenal. She has done a fantastic cover up for me (original done before we met) and you can’t even tell the original existed. Fantastic shop. Everyone tattooing there has a incredible flash and produce amazing tattoos. This shop is well priced professional, clean. You can’t go wrong with this place. If you go there you will leave with an awesome tattoo.

Melissa is phenomenal. I live in the building next door and my husband just walked in and got two of the crispest most clear and precise lines and shading and she drew his custom piece. My daughter and I went next and I know she loved hers but I LOVED mine. I have 5 other tattoos and they pale in comparison. Hit her up you won’t be disappointed ❤️

I’ve been getting tattooed by Billy at Good Tattoo in Oakland since February of 2022! Since then, I’ve gotten 2 more large tattoos from him! I can honestly say Billy is the most professional, talented, and communicative artist I’ve ever met. I looked at a lot of shops in the Bay Area before finding Billy and feel so lucky to have been able to go to him, because I truly think he’s the most underrated and awesome artist in this area! He makes the tattooing process as quick and enjoyable as possible everytime! Additionally, the shop itself is great. It’s in a great location and is small but comfy. I’ve yet to get tattooed by the other artist in the shop, Melissa, but have seen her work and she’s incredible, as well as very kind and funny! Good Tattoo is a gem and I can not recommend this place enough. You can not go wrong seeing any of the artists here, whether you like traditional like me, or other styles!!! :)

The name Good Tattoo does not do this shop or its artists justice. This place has such a good vibe right when you walk in, you know youre in good hands. First of Billys skat, bop, type singing is a treat in itself. The shop is clean, bright, and decorated with some rad things. The artists are legit the best; kind, patient, creative, funny, and talented. I go to Melissa, and not only does she have wicked talent but she is honest. She will always look out for you and make sure you have nice pieces; recommending size, placement, etc. so that your tattoo will heal well and age beautifully. Shes great at taking ideas and making them into masterpieces. Stunning work, Im flabbergasted each time she finishes a piece on me. I always feel like Im getting what I paid for and then some. I love her so much that Ive brought my sister and mom to her. Everytime I get a compliment on one of my tattoos, it is one she has done, so looks like shes stuck with me as a client forever!!

I did a last minute walk in and they were incredibly accommodating and friendly. Couldn’t ask for a nicer apprentice to greet me and my tattoo artist, Nick, was not only an amazing artist but so easy to talk to. I highly recommend this shop and will be back!

Got a piece done by Melissa during the Halloween special. fantastic vibes in the whole store, it’s a cute a fascinating space, and artists are all extremely kind and knowing. The whole process was very fast and comforting. Thank you so much for the the tattoo! I’ll be back soon

Im in trouble... A tattoo shop moved in two blocks from me and its super clean, friendly and inviting!But the biggest perk is that my long time tattoo artist Melissa works there. Melissa has tattooed me for at least the last ten years. I wont let anyone else stab me with an ink filled needle.Her work always comes out great and heals perfectly. She even puts up with my hair-brained ideas for tattoos but brings her own aesthetic to them and makes them even better.

Got my first tattoo from Billy and he did amazing work. It was a custom piece that meant a lot to me and he worked with me a ton to get the design right and make sure it worked out. I let him choose all the colors since I figured he knows how that stuff works better than I ever will and Im so glad I gave him the artistic control because it looks amazing. I highly recommend this shop and will most likely get my 2nd piece done here whenever I feel like I want another one. Thanks Billy!

Where to begin. This place is amazing! I have been getting tattooed by Billy for close to a decade. He is not only my tattoo artist, but I feel like he’s also someone I can call a friend. He designs art for me based on my ideas, and we both collaborate. Everything he’s ever drawn out comes out better than I could have imagined it.Melissa. What a sweet heart. She has hands of an angel, and does beautiful detailed work. I’ve been getting work done by Melissa Taylor for almost a decade now, and having just finished my latest half sleeve with her, I have to share my appreciation for her collaboration, professionalism, and beautiful work. I’ve worked with a few artists over the years, but being tattooed by Melissa have been my best experiences. And for all the compliments I get for my ink, I can only say, “I know—Melissa is amazing!”

I’ve been tattooed 5 times so far at Good Tattoo: two custom and three flash tattoos. The shop is super vibrant with many tikis mugs from the owners personal collection with many flash tattoos to pick from. Ive worked with Billy (one of the owners), Shylo (visiting from Reno), Sini (my most recent walk-in). Always solid black lining, with great shading and texture. The shop is supper fast responding and very respectful and chill to work with.

I’ve been to a lot of shops over the years and very few are as professional AND fun as Good Tattoo. Great work and all the artists value your time and your input. If you’re in Oakland, I can’t think of a better shop. Also, Melissa is a badass!

Never had a bad session with Billy. He listens to your vision and is able to create something with his artistic touch on custom pieces. He also is just solid. No bs. Good music and vibes in the shop. You get that good good tattoo and you pay good prices for ink here!

Melissa has done 10 of my tattoos. Shes a competent artist. But I feel I was being overcharged the last couple of sittings especially when I stopped tipping her. And communication is subpar. I will find another shop or possibly see if I get owner to do my next. Its a nice shop, but Melissa has failed and she has unfinished work. AND ON TOP OF THAT YOUD THINK ID AT LEAST GET A THANKYOU FOR BEING A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR ABOUT 2YRS.. BUT NO....NO COURTESY TO A REPEAT CUSTOMERWHAT SO EVER. I SPENT ALOT OF FREAKING MONEY. MATTER OF FACT IWOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS HEAR AGAIN. TAKE MONEY AND RUN. JUST OVERCHARGED FOR LAST TWO SITTINGS. DEFINITELY LOST ME AS A REPEAT CUSTOMER. GOTTA FIND A BETTER ARTIST AND A BETTER SHOP.😧😧😧😧😧
