I reached out to Tony at Inking out loud with a specific tattoo in mind. From my first interaction with Tony and the shop to the day of my appointment I was blown away by his enthusiasm, attention to detail, he is just an all-around great human. Unlike many shops Tony wanted have a conversation and picked my brain till we settled on the final piece. It is because of this conversation and his ability I and everyone who has seen my tattoo are blown away by the detail and how awesome it looks. Thank you, Tony, and Inking Out Loud! I needed work done on a 36 year old tattoo. I walked into this shop and was immediately greeted and was told Tony would contact me. Sure enough he contacted me and we made an appointment. My tattoo has meaning to me and Tony took the time to listen to my story , come up with suggestions and then supply me with drawings. You truly need have trust in your tattoo artist and Tony definitely supplied that. Thank you so much Tony. Tony and all the employees at Inking Out Loud truly made my experience amazing. I came in the day they opened on July 17th and had a great consult on the piece I wanted, which I then immediately made an appointment for the next day. I have to say this was the most comfortable I’ve been while getting tattooed, the artist rooms are spacious and well air conditioned. My artist was Tony Tat himself, he made sure I was happy with where I wanted it, and throughout the process he always made sure I was doing okay incase I needed any breaks. I would highly recommend coming here for your next tattoo, and having been a resident of Oakland, it’s awesome having somewhere to go in my town!

Just had a personalized tattoo done and my initial reaction as a whole was amazing. I was blown away with the professionalism and skill. Tony gave me my first tattoo and it couldn’t have gone better. Came out beautiful even my mom who isn’t a fan of tattoos was blown away. Can’t thank them enough.

I was so pleased when I went there for the first time, Tony worked with me prior to me going and with his expert artistry he came up with exactly what I was looking for. Everyone is very professional and at the same time very friendly. A few weeks after that tattoo, I went back to have a cover up tattoo done and it was done so amazingly well, you would never know it was covering up an old tattoo. So now I am in the process of having a third done soon and I cant wait. 😻

I can honestly say that after my AMAZING experience at Inking Out Loud, I cannot imagine myself getting tatted anywhere else! I felt more comfortable getting a tattoo here than anywhere else! Everyone was extremely professional and kind! Tony and Kat were so accommodating and helpful and their shop dog was adorable!! The artists here know more about tattooing and have more experience than any other shop I have ever been to, youre in great hands! Would highly recommend it!

Tony met me at my job in Oakland where he commented on the tattoos i already had and told me to come into his shop across the street from where i worked. he was so nice and when my girlfriend and her mom+ aunt wanted to get matching tattoos i immediately suggested this shop. From start to finish- everyone at the shop was accommodating and in no way shape or form trying to rush us. they treated us super nicely and we had a great experience. Tony did the 3 matching tattoos and did an AMAZING job on all three. very fine fingerprint lines and did them all very fast too. Sam did my tattoo, a moth with shading drawn out by my girlfriend. i’ve never had a better experience with an artist than i did with Sam. She was constantly asking my questions, making sure what she was doing was okay/ that i was okay and making sure i liked the work before she continued. She definitely made me feel like i was in a safe space and she is very sweet, and funny too! all 4 of us will 10000% be going back for the amazing artwork, and especially the friendliness, and fantastic customer service. (and that PUPPY!!!!)

Tony is amazing !!! The shop is super clean, comfortable and awesome vibe! Not my first tattoo, but my first tattoo and Inking Out Loud. Definitely my new go to place!! 10 out of 10 recommend ❤️❤️ Tony and Kathy are amazing people and it felt like family. I am so happy with my tattoos!

I got my tattoo done by Tony and it was a great experience. i was very nervous and also asked a lot of questions and he made sure that i felt comfortable. i never felt like i was being annoying or asking for too much because he was more than happy to answer questions, and give me breaks and time to stretch during the tattoo. everyone in the shop had a very kind and friendly attitude and it was just an enjoyable time over all. not to mention they just got a new shop puppy who is ADORABLE. i will definitely be coming back.

I came to this shop spur of the moment without much research or planning, and I am really glad I did. They got me in and out in the same day, and my experience was excellent. I had a specific tattoo in mind, and the way it came out was exactly what Ihad wanted and hoped for. He has great recommendations for tweaks, and after it was finished it had come out even better than I had originally expected. Couldnt be happier with the work done. The atmosphere is very comfortable, and they made me as a customer feel like the most important person in the room. I had the pleasure of meeting both Dan (the artist who did my tattoo) and Sam, and both were VERY professional yet down to earth at the same time. Looking forward to getting future work done at this shop! Prices were fair and well worth it for something I will have for the rest of my life. Shop was also impressively clean. Thank you

Tony is the best and took my walk-in project right away. The studio is clean, safe and decorated with a cool vibe. Tony works with you. He is a talented colorist and designer. Very friendly and professional local business owner. I was in and out with a tattoo more beautiful than I could have imagined. I hope to be back soon with my husband and possibly my BIL. This wasn’t my 1st tattoo but my 1st at Inking Out Loud and my experience was fantastic! Tony, the owner, greeted me and was so welcoming. The layout of the business is very warm and inviting and the associates were just as welcoming. Tony took 2 index cards I had with words on it and he made it work better then I envisioned.I highly recommend Inking Out Loud & I can’t wait to go back to get more work done!

I had such a pleasant experience at Inking Out Loud. I got my third tattoo there recently and they were extremely friendly and helpful. The studio was incredibly clean and had a great atmosphere. The entire staff made you feel very welcomed. They were very professional as well. My tattoo came out just how I wanted and I could not have asked for a better job. Cant wait to go back!

Right away, I felt very welcome. My artist was Dan. He added to a rib tattoo I already had. He is super patient, very kind and quite funny! Gives great advice on tattoo care and is wonderful at making you feel comfortable. Very efficient worker, but also gentle while tattooing. I really enjoyed having him as my artist. I will definitely be going again and I would definitely want to keep Dan as an artist. Dans the man!

First american tattoo I got! Small flash from a sheet! all the flashes on the wall were nice, made it hard to choose one aha! Tony was so nice, made me feel at ease and comfortable. Studio super clean and everyone was so friendly! Loved to talk to him and his lovely wife I cant wait to get tattooed there again! tysm!

This tattoo shop is beautiful inside. Tony is a great tattoo artist and makes you feel at home. Whatever design you want he will work it up for you. I have been complimented so many times on my latest one. I will be back for more.

Got a tattoo by Tony to honor the passing of my brother. Tony was empathetic, responsive and professional - even after I changed what I wanted a couple times. The shop is pristine, the employees are kind and attentive, and the process was pretty painless. I’m really happy with the outcome.

Dan did my tattoo and it was overall just a great experience! Everyone in the shop was just so kind and welcoming. I got two small tattoos on the insides of my fingers and start to finish was about 30 min. The tattoos are healing nicely and I cant wait for the next one!

Dan Youngblood did my tattoo. It was a cover up of an old tattoo and I was beyond happy with how my tattoo turned out. Dan has done a few of my other tattoos from when he was at a different shop. I trust his talent so much I still used him as my tattoo artist even when he changed shops. Even though its further away Dans work is worth the travel. I would sugguest him as a tattoo artist to everyone I know. He is very professional and talking to him is like talking to someone youve known your entire life. If youre looking for a tattoo artist to do your next tattoo Dan Youngblood is the perfect choice.

Ive been wanting to update/redo a 10 year old tattoo for years now, when I heard that this shop opened up right in Oakland, the next town over, I had to stop in and check them out. I met with Tony, the owner and when I started describing what I wanted his eyes lit up instantly and I could see his artistic wheels turning. This is exactly what i needed. By 7:30 that evening I had his first drawing texted to me already. Tony was so patient with me during the drawing process and within 1 week I was in his chair getting the tattoo of my life. Perfect fit for my arm and exactly what I had envisioned in my mind. Tony is a true artist, very professional, and I barely felt any pain! I recommend him highly! I dont want to ever wear sleeves again so I can show it off!
