The Original Golden Spike Tattoo

Jim is an amazing artist who has the ability to not only create incredible tattoo pieces, but also has the ability to take wide abstract ideas and artistically engineer said ideas into a cohesive piece. Clearly my arm has many different elements which includes ideas I presented and combined with Jim’s own artistic design - exactly what I was looking for and it came out awesome! Having received a few tattoos from Jim back in Baltimore, over the years I’ve looked to find an artist as talented as Jim but came up short, so I took a road trip to Utah - absolutely worth it. Book with Jim, I highly highly recommend.

Love this place. Trevor has done 3 smaller tattoos for me and I love all of them. He is great. He has done a tattoo for several people I know and each one has continued to utilize his services. I definitely will be back.

OG Nic is amazing! The shop is right off Wall and parking is in the rear. Fun thing to look at all over the shop and the team Nic has in there are so funny and all them work together and is a great atmosphere. When I hit Nic up and was like I have a vision and he made it happen and I freaking love it! The attention to detail, clean lines and the shading is on point, no regerts here. Killed it and cant wait to do the background. Highly recommend Nic and his squad.

I went to see Stephanie for a tattoo to cover up an old one. It turned out absolutely amazing!! All I told her is what characters I wanted and she came up with all the rest. Its not finished but will be going back soon! I recommend her and anyone in this place to anyone and everyone I will be going back for the rest of my work!!

We scheduled with Rich after hearing good things about Golden Spike from several friends & we are so happy we did! I was very impressed with how well he communicated before the appointment. He seemed to care about creating the perfect tattoo for my son. The night of the appointment he was great at asking questions and explaining the process. Rich’s art was beautiful, he is very talented. I would highly recommend him. We already have plans to go back to him for another.

Cant really say what they are like. I went online, set up an account, scheduled a consultation appointment. Received reminders to make the appointment. Showed up to the appointment and was told that the person I had an appointment with was in Arkansas at a conference. Seemed like a clean shop though and some of the other tattoo artists were friendly enough. Didnt really care for the location. Rode around the block twice looking for a place to park. Finally parked a block away and walked. Went somewhere else.

My wife and I have been getting tattooed by Jim for 2 years now, he has been doing tattooes for a long time and it shows in his perfect lines and how fast he is. He is absolutely amazing and the shop has a great vibe and awesome people. We won’t go anywhere else.

Amazing artists that are knowlegable, skillful, pleasant to work with, and I cant speak for all of the talented people that work here but the artist I worked with is light handed. Sean did fantastic work. Clean environment. Cant wait to get my next piece done here! Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a new artist that is experienced and trustworthy, or anyone in general who just wants some new work.

I had a session with Alex Wilson, he is an excellent artist who excuted my vision exceedingly well. Im absolutely ecstatic about how it turned out and already scheduled additional appointments with him.The rest of the team that I met, Nic, Sean, Steph, and company were all very enjoyable company and good people. Love this shop and will be returning.

It was a pleasure meeting Jim for the first time to talk to him about a tattoo about my K9 looking for closure after 21 years. He was extremely helpful and calming my anxiety with his big smile and insight. Im looking forward to seeing his work putting my partner on my shoulder.

I went to Lauren Howard for my tattoo, very satisfied with her work will definitely be back. A couple friends also plan on visiting her. The shop overall seems very clean and they seem to actually value good artists, not that flash art style you see some places.

Justin did a tattoo for both me and my wife. Mine was a redo and adding to an see tattoo. He made it look like it was all one tattoo. Turned out great.My wife had a new mandala done and she was extremely happy with it.Low key shop. Everything was handled with care. Everything was sanitized and done right.

Dayne does a killer job, hes done almost all my pieces and I trust him to always knock it out of the park! Plus the shop is so chill, everyone is around doing their thing but they all chat and give input for each other. Positive environment and very comfortable. Theres not one person there I wouldnt go to without a second thought.

Awesome tattoo shop. I stopped by to drop my deposit off for a future appointment and rich got it done for me right then and there because wasnt busy. I will definitely be going here for more work and would recommend this shop to anyone

I don’t know what everyone sees in this place. Their staff is horribly uppity and entitled and think they can look down on a potential customer simply because they feel like it. If I’m gonna spend hundreds of dollars for art, I expect it from people who have common decency at the very least.I watched them litter in front of other shops on the same block as well. Disgusting.

Discontinue your search for a good, reputable tattoo shop cause youve found it with Golden Spike Tattoo. They are amazing artist and good people. I will recommend them 11 out 10 times.

I wish I could put 0 starts!!!!!The lack of professionalism and respect these two artists: Alex Otpk Wilson & Neeko “Nick” Giffin, if at this point they can still even be called that, have shown someone who not only isnt their client but someone who has had an idea for many years and got a tattoo as a gift is astounding.The risk an artist takes by posting any piece of their work online is the chance that it may be used as inspiration by another. Not only was the lack of a disclaimer or copyright evident on their original post but now there is no way to even prove the existence of an original aside from hearsay. how can one harass another for finding a picture on the internet.But by far the worst display of disrespect and harassment is not only have they blocked the client of the tattoo from being able to give any response to the accusations of alleged “theft” they have turned their own clients into their agents of harassment towards the other artist. In this community that should not stand.Turning your own clients into your weapons of harassment and cyber bullying is absolutely deplorable. How the situation of a beautiful show of friendship between a client and an artist has been now thrown in the mud and stomped under is disgusting. Not only that but demanding payment for “doing all the work” is like saying every person who has a Fibonacci spiral owes the Fibonacci family or anyone with a marvel tattoo owes Stan Lee.The stupidity of this entire situation is boundless I am beyond flabbergasted.

I got my first tattoo here, done by Stephanie. She was very friendly and held a conversation the whole time. The tattoo looks absolutely amazing and I couldn’t be happier.
