I went to get a rook piercing for my birthday and 2 days later it had gotten so swollen the pain was unbearable. I’ve had many piercings in the past and it has never gotten this severe. I cleaned the piercing correctly and didn’t do anything to bother it. It got infected and puss was coming out which is not normal for a new piercing.I took Advil for the pain and that didn’t even help. I was very disappointed. I went back in to get it checked out and the piercer said it was normal and I can leave it in. I disagreed and requested it to be removed. As soon as he removed the piercing I felt my equilibrium balance out, which was weird feeling. Unfortunately instead of taking care of a cute piercing, have to take care of infected holes.

Dave is my piercer and I have to say hes the best in town. Professional, kind, tender touch. If you are thinking of getting pierced, ask for Dave.

This review is regarding one tattoo artist, not the shop as a whole.I went here to get a tattoo as a gift for Christmas in 2023. The tattoo artist assigned to me is named Brandon. He is an excellent American traditional artist judging by his drawings and finished tattoo work I saw in the shop and I wish that was the style of tattoo I wanted but I didnt.When I made the appointment I said I wanted layered flames to my elbow with one or two strands that went higher than my elbow.He had nearly two weeks to design a stencil for my tattoo but didnt. Instead he rushed and poorly sketched it onto my arm with a marker. I saw some clues in this sketch that it wasnt going to look good but he is the professional so I trusted him and let him get to work. I mean, its just flames around my forearm, how could you mess that up I thought.The tattoo I was told by 6 shops would take 4-6 hours but was finished in just over two hours. He rushed the job even though I had a 4 hour appointment and he could have taken his time to do it right. He was clearly disinterested and completely checked out. He wasnt rude but seemed annoyed every time I tried to make small talk. Luckily, I had headphones and youtube videos downloaded.The tattoo looks okay from afar but every time I look at it I get pissed. The line work is shaky, inconsistent and overall just terrible. It is filled with weird looking pregnant flames that look like a 6 year old drew them.If you want an American traditional style tattoo, he will probably do you justice but if you want anything else and they assign you to him, run away or wait for a different artist.I spent around $400 on a tattoo in a professional shop but the quality is worthy of a home kitchen scratch artist...

Front desk person was impatient and recommended me the wrong jewelry.I asked for a nose stud and i think it may have been all they had? but i was given a threadless straight bar flat back.it hurts like hell to have in because it’s too thick. it’s too long and the gem doesn’t sit right because it’s the WRONG JEWELRY.(enh just take it out, right?, My nose stud fell out and this is my only option because i’m on vacation and nobody will drive me to walmart)the price for this jewelry was overpriced as well.

The staff at Big Brain are incredibly knowledgeable and with reasonable prices and high-quality work, I can’t recommend them enough!Both myself and a friend of mine got piercings there and everything was extremely smooth and easy.I’ll definitely be back!

My left piercing ear ring came out so I’m trying to take the other right one off it can like it and also like I can’t take them out even when I’m going to bed that not stuff supposed to be it’s supposed to be easy remove easy put back earrings

She did so good and so fast. I forgot her name ( she have red hair) but she was so nice and friendly. I feel so comfortable while shes doing my navel piercing, I was so scared at first but it didn’t hurt at all! I love it sm and planning to get more piercings here🫶🏼

I went to this store on 9/21/24 and sometime in early 2023 and my piercer both times was Nikki! I got an eyebrow piercing during my most recent visit and Nikki did such an amazing job and was very professional and attentive, she even provided a pixy stick when I expressed worries about my sugar levels and history of fainting with piercings in the past! Three days later and I have no bruising, pain, or soreness, it’s like the piercing has been there for years! I cannot wait for my next stop here!

It is NOT ok or good business practice to mark someones hand and refuse to do anything about it. I was told different things by different people, one of them being it will go away in a year. UNACCEPTABLE! They should have covered it for free or given me a discount at the very least. Ill take a hand tattoo over a stupid mark on my hand. The line work isnt ask good as Ive had from the same person before either. I will not ever be taking my business here again, nor will I ever refer anyone here ever again either...

Lost someone close to me, I have all expenses in my hands, not even a condolence. Just an artist will take your deposit knowing damn well itll get filled. In it for the money, not to make people happy. Very unfortunate! Im fine with them keeping the deposit but not a single thought when in to the reason why or tried to reschedule...which i probably would have. Nope! Not anymore! Those people were rude from the jump and I have my entire body covered with tattoos. Crossing them off the list real quick!

My daughter got her first tattoo here for her birthday today. Mike was cool as hell and kept her calm, while explaining everything to her. Not to mention his amazing work he did!!!I will forever recommend this man!The shop was clean, and had a great vibe...Everyone was so helpful, upbeat & laid back.

Very good place to get piercings its quick and easy I was in and out in a matter of 10 minutes got 3 done within 2 weeks they made me feel comfortable recommended my coworker went to get her nose redone and she said the pain level was much lower then the other person she went to first before I recommended this place 10/10

Artist was very nice and made my mom and i feel comfortable as it was both our first tattoos. obviously while it’s healing it starts scabbing and i put aquaphor on it as directed, but after it healed it seemed to look like the lines were shaky and uneven. i understand maybe it was because i was too tense, but for $80 im kinda disappointed

I have gotten two piercings from Nikki in the last few months. She’s quick and very transparent. My navel piercing healed quick and very nicely. Today I got a vertical labret and it looks great. Both piercings are perfectly straight. The only downside of getting a piercing here is if you go on a weekend, you might be waiting 30 mins-1hr.

I understand having a company policy but its pretty ridiculous that because I call in to change dates 23 hrs instead of 24 hrs ahead of time that I get my $240 deposit taken away and if I want to reschedule then I have to put another $240 down. This is the second reschedule already. First was a month ago because the day of my appointment I didnt have my physical ID even though they have a copy already. So now Im out $480. I get this is a business but have some humanity. Ive never experienced a tattoo shop that is twisted like some big corporations. Well not only did you lose out on $600 for the tattoo I was getting plus the rest of the sleeve I had planned to do later which would have been close to an additional $1,400. This is all just from my left arm alone. That doesnt include the right arm, left and right leg, both feet, back and possibly ribs. At the end of it all would have come close to, if not over $10,000. I take full responsibility for my part in this outcome, but this is just absolutely ridiculous coming from a tattoo shop and what this kinda art stands for.

Amy is goated all things considered, got pierced by her recently and shes so damn professional & fast & fun & trustworthy. Absolutely killed it and the price was unbelievably reasonable I was literally shook. 10/good.

Amy has magic fingers!!! Hands down the absolute best, most caring, intelligent, and knowledgable piercer I’ve ever experienced and I wish I got all my piercings done by her. I wouldn’t go anywhere else or recommend ANYONE to go anywhere else, Amy is the GOAT! I WILL be back!

Two friends got their ears pierced and I got a small tattoo. Everyone I interacted with was super kind and friendly and did a great job with the piercings and tattoo!

Ive gotten both eyebrow piercings there, my tongue and also my septum. Only really had a bad experience with the desk people, if that wasnt a thing id give 5 stars. The last 2 visits on the 13th and 14th of September around 10 pm there was a nice chick at the desk those times.. those where the only visits where i wasnt met with attitude at the desk and i loved it. I had 2 different piercers cz the eyebrows were done each night i went. Only have bruising on 1 eye which is normal but the other eye has none at all, thank god haha. The dude who pierced my eyebrow the second night was so precise on the placement, he measured and measured and readjusted the marks a few times and he apologized for it but i told him i was loving his precision because i am like a symmetrical freak when it comes to my piercings. He was super quick and gentle when doing the eyebrow.. very tall and skinny dude, long hair and wore a hat, unfortunately i never got his name either. The first night i had a chick pierce me, she was super cool.. never got her name but she has an antibrow piercing, she was quick and fun to talk to. I tipped both piercers because i loved their work and their energy.

I got my conch and nose piercing done here. The wait was definitely worth it. Nikki (I believe that was her name) was my piercer and she was so quick and efficient. I could tell she really found enjoyment in what she did. Super impressed with the lack of hesitation she had with any piercing. She didn’t even use a clamp for my conch. Definitely felt very well taken care of by her!

I had one of the balls on my eyebrow barbell fall off and I lost it! I came in here with no appointment and the piercer was able to get me a replacement within just a few minutes. They were super kind and cleanly! Overall I had a very easy experience.

I have since moved from Omaha, but I have not yet found a place I enjoyed more than Big Brain. I got my nose, septum, two cartilage, and my nipples pierced here, as well as a small tattoo. Making an appointment was easy, the staff was incredibly friendly, and I was encouraged to come back for jewelry changes or any issues I had with my piercings. I went in for a nearly closed navel that the opened back up and put jewelry and questions about healing for my nipples, both of which were done for free. One of my piercings was actually a snap decision because I thought they were going to charge me for my navel and I felt bad that they weren’t! Highly recommend them for safe and easy work, but chances are you will need an appointment. They’re popular for a reason! Dave is a great piercer, especially if you’re nervous when you get in there. I felt really comfortable after talking to him!

Went to get my nose pierced today for my birthday and my sister got her helix done for her birthday also. We had a lady do it and it was so rude of me to not catch her name but she was amazing and very welcoming! Definitely will come back here.

I was told to come down to discuss a tattoo and the lady at the front desk was unnecessarily rude to me and dismissive. Very disrespectful. She refused to answer even basic questions. I’m still in shock that they were so rude to a potential client.

I would highly recommend this place for a piercing. This was my second time getting my belly button pierced. First time at this place and my expirience was definitely 5 stars! She did an amazing job, measured, made sure I like it and was super nice.

Called ahead to make sure they could do the piercing I was looking for, lady on the phone said absolutely and gave me a price. When I got there it was a weird uninviting vibe, filled out the info. The piercer brings me back to his station. No hi/hello (annoyed) says first and only thing he said to me. “I’ve never heard of this before do you have a photo” if I was asking for something off the wall I’d get it, however I was recommended to come here. I ended up just walking out. Have to wait later than I was hoping to get it done but, At least I won’t have to deal with a place with uninviting people no care for good service.If you’re looking for a piercing in the Omaha area go see Cassie at ironwood ink. I’ve had multiple experiences at different tattoo shops, and I will always stand by Big Brain being the best one. Not only is the ink amazing, but so are the staff. Everyone is so friendly and talented, such a joy to talk to, and so comfortable to be around. Just went with my 2 friends to get their noses pierced, and Destiny was our piercer. She absolutely made our nights. She was so incredibly sweet, hilarious, and professional. I’ve never had a poor/mediocre experience with them!! Their pricing is also very fair and reasonable. Fast, Friendly and Clean. I was terrified of getting my industrial after a decade without piercings, but the staff made it fun and stress-free. (I impulse bought a second eyebrow piercing too.) Great price too. I will be going back for more metal and eventually some more ink.

My daughter and I stopped in here to find out about getting tattoos but we just werent impressed with the size the artist said the tattoos were going to have to be or the cost of them.

The only place Ill go for tattoos and piercings and Im about to take my 13 yr old to get her nose pierced...I only trust them for quality work and friendly staff

It was an OK visit. I understand it is the costumers idea to come up w the design, but I think the artist should also contribute to it. Add some opinions, maybe. Especially if the person is not too sure. I felt like the artist was just there to draw and do an OK job.Now, dont get me wrong, he did took his time and made sure to ask if I liked what I saw before he started, but I didnt feel the connection. Like, no input. A little disappointed, as this is a very well known place. I was expecting an out of the ordinary experience. Not this time. Ill give it another shot later on. See if they can make it up.Price wise, it was fair. I have nothing to complain on that department. He was clean, through, professional, and respectful. Kudos.If anything, maybe a little for interaction with the customers. Ease the tension. Some times we are more nervous than anything, and some reassurance from the artist is always soothing and encouraging that were getting the right design. Just a tip :)

I got my philtrum piercing done by dave brown and it was pierced slanted in my lip. When I went in to have it looked at he said it was perfectly pierced and suggested I use tooth cream to heal it. Went to 3 other piercers that confirmed it was pierced incorrectly so I had to take it out.

Me and my fiancé came to this place twice. First time was around 10-11pm, second time 6-7pm. Both times were told “we are booked try and make an appointment”. Cool no problem, as soon as we try and make an appointment no one picks up the phone.

Best place to go for piercings, always in and out experience. I recommend them for piercings to everyone I know. Especially David.The front desk is always rude and condescending. Tattoo artist are pricey compared to most for the same quality of work.

Great place! I was pretty comfortable with the environment. I got my ears pierced by Destiny and she was fantastic! She did a great job of making my friend and I feel comfortable. I have a massive fear of needles and I had a lot of anxiety with getting my Helix but they did great! Would def recommend!

This was a really great place. Got in and registered and called back within just a few minutes. We did get there early and were only the second ones in the door. Got my nose pierced in no time. Very friendly and willing to answer all questions.

The owner is super funny! Dom is an old friend. Many of their artists have moved on to create their own successful business. They have a beautiful shop that they change around every so often and youll enjoy your experience.

If I could give them no stars I would I went in because I had gotten snakebites I needed a longer post for swelling and my piercer was not open the lady I had was rude and didn’t tell me when she was going to start she just put her hand into my mouth she didn’t wipe down the Area and used the same tool on both piercings causing cross contamination and it ended up very infected I had to go to the doctor and get meds. And the price to just get it changed was 30 dollars when the piercings themselves were 40

These guys are amazing. Ive been to big brain for many different piercings and my friends have too, we all love it and wont go anywhere else. The employees are helpful and will adjust what you want and make sure youre OK before moving on.

My husband and I scheduled a time to come talk with Brandon. We never got past the front desk. Very rude and clearly did not want our business. Brandon never came out to talk to us even though we asked specifically for him. BB must have enough business they didnt need our 3 tattoos. We found a great artist elsewhere.

I have now been a customer of big brain for almost 10 years. I have had 2 tattoos and today I got my first piercing, and no matter the need Big Brain does not disappoint!

DO NOT USE BIG BRAIN!! I would give this zero stars if I could. Had a terrible experience there, got my lobes pierced a little under a month ago and have fallen out 2 times since. The girl who put it in last time (didn’t catch the name) was extremely rude and disrespectful. Avoid at all costs, there are much better places to get piercings.

Was looking for a shop to get a matching tattoo with my girls and came across this shop with good reviews.We walked in and was greeted by a man with a hat and long hair. We tried explaining what we wanted but was cut off quit a few times and couldn’t really express what we wanted but it seem to not even matter because he was very adamant that we could not get a tattoo until 6pm which was fine if he didn’t keep cutting us off to tell us that.We tried to say our description of our design idea and he was just not very nice telling us we could not get any color tattoos because the artist only does black and white (totally understand) but then went on a rant about how we shouldn’t get color cuz it won’t stay or heal and is not recommended (he literally was covered in color tats) and HAVE to be at least the size of a baseball or we couldn’t even get anything. I get artist don’t do certain styles and color but the attitude we received was uncalled for.We ended up taking our business elsewhere but the snarky attitude from the guy coming from a highly rated shop is crazy to me.

Me and My Mom went to get my nose pierced and her helix done ( I’m also terrified of needles…) we had a great experience overall and an AMAZING piercer named Destiny Howard. She made the experience great and had a calming but yet very funny personality. I would recommend her to anyone looking to get any piercings or would like one but are to nervous about the process. Thank you Big Brains and Destiny will definitely will be coming back!!!

My boyfriends brother in-law works here, its a wonderful place to visit, great atmosphere, doesnt take long to get a piercing or a tattoo.All the times Ive been there, its been busy but thats normal for such a place.Will go again.

Daughter received a nose piercing. The staff was very friendly and truly cared about there customers my daughter felt comfortable and commented how great the staff treated her keep in mind this was a 10 minute visit for a piercing. Staff you rocked it. I sat back and observed the staff I am new to this atmosphere but know what quality customer service looks like and they did a great job. The follow up care was also exceptional I have witnessed repeatedly I believe the manager (Young Lady) ensure the customers to take a receipt to get any warranty work done. They believe in backing up the quality of work they do. Kudos

Got my first piercing here which was a belly piercing and the guy who pierced my stomach was amazing! He took him no longer than 10 minutes to pierce me and it did not hurt at all! Maybe a 1/10!! Although I wish Big Brain would have a different way to book tattoo appointments rather than having to go into the place to book.

They were able to help me OVER THE PHONE in a DIFFERENT STATE to help me remove a piercing. If Im ever in Omaha again, you bet your butt Im coming back!! Theyre the BEST!!

Horrible customer service. Desk girl booked an appointment for me with an artist I hadnt had a chance to review. Told us if we cancelled at least 24hrs ahead of time we could get our deposit back. After reviewing his work there was no way he was going to be allowed to do my tattoo. Called back 10mins later to try and do something about changing artist and was told there was nothing that could be done. After reading other negative reviews I see Im not the only one to have this issue. Fine if your business is so broke you have to take peoples money then have my $40. I will tell everyone I ever come across how you conduct business. If I could leave less than one star I would.

Ive been pierced here three times and just got tattooed here. Brandon did the tattoo and he was awesome to work with! Great service every time. They walk you through the process, are friendly, answer questions, and are just great to work with! I highly recommend!

I went in for a helix piercing. It was my first time getting a piercing done at a tattoo parlor, and I felt safe and listened to the entire time. Very simple and fast process; reasonable prices all around too!

Went to get information, and walked out with a new belly piercing. Everyone was very friendly, answered all my questions, the entire place was very clean, bright, open...made me feel welcome. My piercer (Dave) was very open, explained everything, told me how to care for my piercing, listened to my concerns...and before I knew it, I had my first body piercing. Id recommend anyone interested in a body piercing to go here.

My piercer was super friendly and put a lot of work into making sure the piercings were even, which I am extremely grateful to her for! The shop took me as a walk-in and had my piercing done in about 30 minutes from the time I entered to the time I left. Very professional, clean and welcoming!

With no piercings or tattoos I was a bit nervous. I only had my ears pierced the piercer did everything she could to reassure me that she would be gentle. It wasnt thirty seconds later and she had both ears pierced zero pain. Cant wait to start shopping for earrings

10/10 Amy is the best piercer of all time. She helped my lil sister get her lip pierced she was helpful and she helped coach her through the whole experience. Eased her nerves with no problem give Amy a raise she’s the best you got.

Got my ears peirced, they did amazing it was quick and painless (mostly considering im getting a hole in my ear) but they gave me steps to make sure everything turns out well and the earrings look amazing

Not the greatest customer service. I had asked what it would cost to get a tattoo whilst my daughter was getting a piercing. I have never had a tat before so Im not very knowledgeable. The guy whom I asked about the cost was very rude and almost condensending as if I should know how they charge for tats. He didnt seem to really care about what I wanted for a tat.. He just said probably $300. I guess Ill find someone that is more willing to answer my questions. I wish he would have asked more questions to get to know me as a customer rather than treating me as an inconvenience.

Honestly, Ive gotten 3 piercings here and my wife has gotten a tattoo. Every. Single. Interaction was just great. Everyone listens, explains, takes le money for le services as long as asks be reasonable and presented for consideration.People are nice. Shop is always clean. The crowd has always been great. I have 0 complaints.Thank ye for the additional body mods.

Dave pierced my septum and did various other cartilage piercings on three of my friends. So quick and easy and practically painless. He did it so fast I didn’t even realize he was already done, and he fixed my helix piercing while I was there! Super friendly place and skilled at what they do.

So the girl who did my Medusa piercing she did great I love I was very excited for my belly button too it’s was going good then a few days after I had got it done I had noticed that I could see my my piercing through my skin I’m like okay that’s normal but then when I started to look at other and people had started to notice it. I knew something was up with my piercing she pierced it to close. Don’t get me wrong their services are great because I got my tongue done here too but my belly button piercing was not it.

My 18 yr old Granddaughter got her ears pierced (second holes) in September. Now, Dec 31, she just got her bellybutton piercing. She said it wasnt very bad (pain). She LOVES Dave to do her piercings & will not go anywhere else. Bonus was that I got to take her there. 💜💜💜

Honestly, I had a really good experience with the workers, but when it came to replacing my medusa I found out that my webbing was partially pierced and makes it super hard to get any jewelry in without a professional assisting me. Also made it to where when I got new jewelry and had it replaced by the shop, they couldnt get the bar in even with clamps. They ended up having to go through my webbing a bit and caused me to bleed. Other than this inconvenient placement, everything was wonderful and I wouldnt mind getting another piercing from here so long as I know itll be easier to change out.

I received a dermal piercing at Big Brain. The pricing was great, the jewelry selection was pretty good, and the artists were awesome! They were super busy and the only thing I wish is that they had more time to spend with me. But it was a great experience and my piercing is healing awesome! My friend got three nose piercings and hers are healing great too and it was her first time being pierced and s he loves the experience of Big Brain!

Every part of my experience here was excellent. Not new to piercings, but was very nervous about getting my nipples pierced. It was very quick, and the piercer was very professional and made me feel very comfortable. The pricing is great, make sure you check out the the website for $10 off- I added that to the tip! Will DEFINITELY be coming back here for future piercings.

Would not recommend. I have plenty of ear piercings, and during my experience the piercers daughter was in the area and instead of helping me out and giving me the needed attention formy piercing she was preoccupied with her daughter and ordering food, was complaining about how busy it was the entire time and gave no after care instructions after the fact. Will not be coming back.

This is the only place I have gotten my tattoos and piercings. Very clean shop and the artists listen to what you want, also give suggestions on what might look best. Also seem to have the cheapest prices.

I was in and out super quick for my piercing, Paige was my piercer and Ive had no trouble so far, I was nervous because I havent had a piercing in over 20 years bc my body would inflamme and reject them all the time.

I was so nervous to get my double forward helixes and a conch but Nikki helped calm me down so much. The wait was only about 20 minutes and all three of the piercings took like 5-10 minutes. The cost of all 3 piercings and jewelry was $100 which is such a good price compared to most places. She wore gloves & used a different pre packaged needle for each separate piercing. She talked me through it and was very personable. She let me check to make sure I liked the placement and after she made sure I liked each piercing before continuing on to the next. The front desk people were very cool and patient. I cannot recommend this place more. I will be going back to get my left ear done once my right one heals :)

He is the best peircer!! I have had my ears peirced a few times but due to being allergic to most earings, something always happened, and they scarred/closed back up as you can see in picture. I went in to get my ears peirced on a random chance.I am extremely happy with the results. I decided to get captive beads so that my ears had extra room for swelling safety. And ease of sleeping on it.The peircer was so kind and sweet. He was clean and fast with super accuracy. Best peircer i have ever had.My friend got her nose done at the same time and it went great as well! There are no issues now either after a few weeks out!

I went to Big Brain last October to get a piercing with a few friends and we had a wonderful experience, however last night my experience was much different. I would first like to start off saying that DAVE IS AMAZING, he deserves a FIVE STAR review by himself. He is patient, informative, talented, and quick when piercing. He did a great job the last time he pierced me, and he did a great job piercing my friend last night. However, the overall experience last night was far from five stars. The front desk staff were extremely rude to my friends and I. The second that we walked in, the female (blonde with glasses, I dont know her name) working the front desk had an attitude and made me feel inferior to her when speaking to me. She did not seem like she wanted to help us, and the male that was at the front desk with her had his face in his phone leaning on the counter the whole time. One of my friends gave her the same attitude back and it just got uncomfortable from there. While we were deciding the female looks over at the male and states loudly enough for us to hear, Im done, Im just done. It was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. At that point I decided to not get a piercing because I dont want to support a local business with such poor customer service. I know she is not the one doing the piercings, however she is the first face that people see when they walk through the door, and she is representing your company. Its disappointing because I did have such a great experience during my previous visit, however we didnt deserve to be treated poorly.

Always a great experience. Ive gotten four piercings and five tattoos here so far, and all of the artists are competent, professional, and passionate about their work. I called to inquire about prices and they answered right away and gave me all the answers to question. Decided to go ahead and come to Big Brain, everyone is so nice and helpful. The piercer did an excellent job explaining the best way to go about it and explained after care throughly. Definitely would recommend.

I’ve gotten almost all of my piercings done here by Dave Brown and I couldn’t be happier! Dave is absolutely amazing each time I go whether it is for a new piercing or just a jewelry change. He’s always kind, patient, and understanding and makes you feel comfortable. I’ve had piercers in the past that I haven’t felt comfortable with or they rushed the process and messed it up, but Dave has never done that and always takes his time to make sure it’s done correctly and looks how you’d like it to. He’s the only one I trust with my piercings and I’m going to continue going to him each time!

Ive had most of my piercings done by Dave and I will keep coming back because of him. He does such a great job and will take the time to discuss and answer any questions/address any concerns one might have. Its a beautiful space with plenty of waiting room (which is needed on the weekends as it does get busy, expect a wait if you dont have an appointment, but worth it).

I got my cartilage pierced here a couple of days ago. I was worried about customer service, but everyone was very nice and professional. Dave did my piercing, and it turned out great. I didnt have to wait long or anything. The shop was clean and sterile. I went in a couple of days later worried about something and he looked at it and reassured me that everything was fine.

The workers were very polite and patient . The piercer I had was very polite and talked to me and my friend, Makeing sure we were ready to start. 10/10 recommend. Also she was very nice to my friend that has tourettes and treated her great thank you so much

Ive been here on 3 separate occasions. Once to get a piercing and twice to accompany friends to get tattoos. Each time I have gone in Ive had a fantastic experience. The artists who work with us are always nice. Every time someone is looking for a good shop to go to this is where I send them. Its nice and clean, art work is great, and its just an all around good experience. I plan on going back soon!

Do NOT go to Dave for an ear piercing!!! had a creepy experience with him making a strange remark this last august. I had him pierce my industrial piercing and it still has not healed correctly even with cleaning it. do yourself a favor not go to him make sure you get someone else

Got a botched septum piercing at a less than reputable shop (my bad). Amy at Big Brain re-pierced my septum and the placement is beautiful. She went through the entire process with ease and made me feel really comfortable. If you want it done right, go see her.

Big Brain was one of the only places that could get me in asap when finally worked up the courage to get my nose pierced. I was in quickly, and the piercing is great! My piercer was super helpful about aftercare for the piercing, and he was sure that I knew I could call them after for any questions.

Had my septum done. I was super excited, but worried Id faint (which Ive done in the past after getting a piercing). Clayton was INCREDIBLE. So nice, genuinely cared, very engaged. The shop is very clean and organized. Best piercing experience Ive ever had.

I got a daith piercing here by Dave Brown. DONT get a piercing from him. I came back 6 weeks later to replace the earring after waiting the required amount of time and the other male piercer told me the piercing was placed entirely wrong and that I needed to take it out. The month and a half process of waiting for it to heal and not being able to sleep on it was so freaking annoying and painful. The least they could do is give me the 40 dollars back for the piercing. I didn’t want to go through it again. But when asked I got a flat no. They did offer me another free piercing to replace it but they must be pretty money hungry if they can’t sacrifice 40 dollars instead of sending away an upset customer to spread the word.

Great tattoo shop with great people. Ive had a tattoo done and from scheduling an appointment to actually having it done it was an easy process.My wife has also had several piercings done at this location and they made it very quick and painless. I was told to come here to see Dave after I had asked a lady about the multiple piercings that she had. She said he was the best in the business. I’ve only seen him to have my jewelry changed, but he was very personable and did a great job. The facilities are clean and the staff is helpful.

They had a piercing sale back in June and I got a dermal. More than 2 months later and its healed fine, looks great, and I just got the jewel changed the other day pretty cheap. Seems like a great shop! And I love the TVs with how they show their artists. The place is really cool!

Walked in for a nose piercing and talk about redoing some of my ear piercings. Quick, clean fast, easy and painless. Came up with a plan for my ears and Ill be back in 4 weeks for more.

I went in to get a new septum. A staff member Elena saw and could see another customer was making me feel really uncomfortable talking to me and not giving me space. She pulled me aside suggesting she had more options in back to give him to leave. She then walked with me and made sure I got to my car safely. She went out of her way and I am great full for her. Big brains has never disappointed me but this situation left me over great full!

Help me save money by realizing that the holes were still open on my ears. So instead of getting new piercings they just put the jewelry in. I love this place.

Got some snake bite piercings and my friend got their septum done here back in august. the piercer was super nice and did a great job. i can’t remember her name, but she had purple hair, stretched ears, and a split tongue too i believe. i normally swell up pretty badly when i get pierced so i had to come back a few times to get the bars changed and they were always able to do it and got it done really quick, even sent the previous bars home with me in case i needed them switched back again so i could do it myself. i will say though, i’ve heard some negative things from some of my friends about dave brown. both who’ve been pierced by him said that he was really creepy. i personally haven’t had any interactions with him so i can’t speak from experience, but from what all i’ve heard, i don’t think i’d want to be pierced by him.

I had my tattoo done by Jason. I emailed what I wanted well ahead of my appointment and was so impressed with Jasons idea of what I was looking for. It was better than I could have imagined! I love my tattoo and am so happy with how it turned out.Everyone that I came in contact with was very friendly. The shop was clean and had a pleasant atmosphere. In the front waiting area there are TVs that run a brief bio of each artist with a few samples of their work. This is such a neat idea! A lot of the art was truly stunning. I would recommend friends and family to go here. Thanks for a great experience.

I decided to go in today for another piercing and as usual I was NOT disappointed! I have had my nose, tongue and now the rook done here and this was definitely the least painful. Dave was very kind and patient! I highly recommend!

I give them 2 stars because I got one piercing and 2 earrings they charged me $150 just to pierce my left side of my nose. Didnt know piercings were that expensive now a days.

I went here today to get my daughters nose pierced. We brought their online $10 off coupon. The coupon said, $10 off any piercing with this coupon with no conditions.When we arrived, the girl at the counter told us the coupon was only good Sunday-Thursday, but there was nothing on the coupon about these conditions. I told her the only reason we came in is because of the coupon as other piercing studios only charge $20 regularly. She told me they would not honor it, but I was welcome to go to the other Big Brain in West Omaha where they honor the coupon 7 days a week.This is false advertising and completely unacceptable. The company has an online coupon that they will not honor on certain days, with no mention of those conditions on the coupon or the website. As a result, we left and took our business elsewhere.Based on this experience, I recommend using an honest competitor. We used American Tattoo and had a good experience.

Clean shop, very efficient, they definitely tried to work with us and our time constraints as best as they could. We were visiting from out of town and they were still able to get us in that night. It was a little hectic the first time we came in and isnt set up like most tattoo shops so it was a little confusing getting things started. The tattoo artist was great, super quick, and it was decently priced for a quarter sized tattoo. I would go back if I was ever in the area and they gave me some good advice regarding a coverup Ive been wanting.

Got my nipples pierced by Dave. Great sense of humor and incredibly professional. He even put up with me coming back when I was worried they were getting infected. Nipple piercings are known to be some of the most painful and it was done so well that the pain was gone in minutes. Highly recommend him as a piercer. The place was incredibly clean and the assistants were friendly and good at making sure that what you were getting is what you wanted. Prices are fair and its easily located downtown.

I’ve gotten all my most recent piercings here over the last two years and they always do such a good job! I made the mistake of not eating before my most recent piercing (my septum) and I ended up feeling faint and almost passed out. The piercer was quick on her feet and had me lay down, got me an ice pack, sprite and a pixie stix to raise my sugar levels, and some water. She didn’t try to rush me, she was so patient and lovely! I didn’t catch her name but she was so incredibly sweet. She also did a great job on the piercing which I finally got to see after I started to feel better lol. Looks great!

Went to Big Brain to troubleshoot what I already believed was a botched piercing I received from another studio. I did not plan to do it at the time I did, but the ball came out and there I was driving to Big Brain in the middle of the night. Thank the lord I did as the piercing was botched far worse than I even anticipated! However, Dave Brown was a savior he pierced me again (correctly) and he was completely gentle plus informative. I just wish I went to him to begin with. Dave, if you see this thank you again for fixing it and being so kind to me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE!

I have been getting all of my tattoos and piercings done at Big Brain for over 14 years, I will never go anywhere else. Everything about this place is absolutely AMAZING! The cleanliness of the shop to the unique features, it all kicks @$$!! What I enjoy most about the shop is the staff and how genuine they are. The vibe in the shop makes you automatically chill and like you are a meant to be there. I have had several artists provide me with phenomenal service and each time each guy made me smile, laugh and feel extra comfortable. Never had any issues with piercings or tattoos, they have all healed well and fast and my ink still looks as if it was just done. Prices are certainly reasonable, you get what you pay for so I dont recommend going anywhere else just to save a buck. The front desk staff is awesome too, they do a great job in explaining things and always helpful!! I just recently moved to Omaha a few months ago and have done lots of research on where to get a tattoo. I was very interested in Big Brain so I sent an email on their website seeing the best way to schedule an appointment. So I went to this shop yesterday looking for a small flower hand tattoo. When I showed the front desk lady she told me I was too young and the tattoo artist don’t do hand tattoos unless I already have a sleeve. I’ve never heard of this before. For one she did not ask how old I was and my age should not matter for the tattoo that I want since it’s my body (I’m 19). She told me she would talk with the artist about what I want but didn’t ask for any of my information and basically tried to get me to just leave. I didn’t feel welcomed at all. Scheduling for my tattoo somewhere else..

Walked in on a Saturday evening to get a nose piercing. The wait time was maybe 8 minutes before the piercing artist was ready for me. She was super amazing and nice. Definitely would recommend to anyone.

Ive been there three times now, for two ear piercings, my belly button, and my nose. Their prices are reasonable, especially with the $10 coupon on their site. Others have said that the people there are rude, but I havent had that experience at all. The second time, I went in because my belly button was infected, and Dave told me I was allergic to the steel in the rings from other stores, gave me a new ring, and sent me a bag of q-tips with solution in them all for $10, and within a few weeks, the reaction was gone. All the guys there have been very friendly and professional, laughed and joked with me, and made sure I was comfortable. Ill definitely be visiting them for my first tattoo.

Dave did great with my Monroe percing. He was quick and gentle. I had to go back because my lip decided to swell bigger then my stud. So my stud was starting to in bed into my lip. (Not their fault some people just swell more then others!) But they helped me change it to a longer one to fix my problem. It was easily fixed. I love how they genuinely care and take care of everyone! Thank You!

Brandon was phenomenal!! My friend and I were both able to get awesome tattoos due to scheduling more time than needed for my friends I was super bummed thinking I wasnt gonna be able to get one but Brandon made it happen and absolutely rocked both of ours!! Will definitely be returning even though its a 3 hour drive from my house!!

They have beautiful gauges in all sizes. Also my partner felt dizzy after his piercing so they were nice and got him a soda and made sure he was ok. I did learn, which Ive learned is all tattoo and piercing shops, that service dogs cannot go in the back for health reasons. They were extremely polite and explained that to me.

I went to get a conch piercing a month ago and the experience was more than perfect. Fast and quick (besides annoying waiting time), and it didn’t even hurt. The piercer was so sweet and reassuring and did it privately. Went a second time to get a daith and a different piercer pierced me and he didn’t even tell me when he was piercing it and was talking to his coworkers about non work stuff the entire time and surprise pierced me. On top of that, he messed up mid way and most likely used unsanitary taper to fix it, because it got infected right away. I would suggest to really get to know the piercers. Will go back only with the piercer that pierced me the first time, will not do random walk ins anymore.

Ive been going to big brain for about 6 years now. Ive never had a problem. All of my tattoos are perfect, and most of the piercings have turned out perfect- some not so much- but my anatomy just didnt work well with the piercing I had chosen. These guys are awesome! Keep up the good work.

I got my ears pierced here the other day. I’ve also came here with a few friends to get tattoos. Every time I’m here, the place is very clean, modern, and unique. In addition, all of the staff is non-judgmental, understanding, and friendly. The person who pierced my ears was sure to explain what he was doing and why, and made great conversation!

Just got my double piercing done here the other day and I love it :) it was really quick and easy; the staff was really friendly and nice . They even gave me a discount before I asked about it. Ill definitely be going back for any future piercings and tattoos and 100% recommend it.

I went here to get both my lobes and my nose pierced and had a great experience. All of the people were super nice and both the lobes and nose piercing barely hurt. The piercings themselves didn’t take long to do.

I got my smiley pierced there and the gentleman who pierced it was neat, professional, and extremely friendly. The atmosphere was clean and inviting. I didnt feel unwelcome or anything like other tattoo/piercing parlors make you feel. Im sorry for the people who did have a bad experience there, because I did not and would recommend this particular place to all my friends.

Excellent service!!! I was traveling through Omaha for business and had an issue with a recent piercing. They got me in on short notice and fixed the problem. On top of that, Dave Brown talked with me about the care of the piercing in a different climate than home and sent me on my way with new cleaning solution appropriate for the rest of my stay. Its been almost a decade since I got my last tattoo and I finally decided to go in for more ink so I decided to look at the shops here in Omaha. After doing some searching I found Jason Morrow at Big Brain and I was attracted to his black and grey style of tattoos.My experience from first walking into the door all the way to the healing process of my tattoo has been extremely positive. Everyone there is always really nice and chill and none of the guys in the shop have been rude to me, even when it is super busy.Jason did an amazing job on my ink and I cant wait to get more work done by him. Overall this is a great shop with great staff. I will be recommending this shop to other people!

I had a great experience as always at big brain. Ive had several piercings from both smitty and Dave that healed quickly versus the other places Ive been pierced. I had my first big chest tattoo done just a couple days ago by nick and it was done quickly and exactly how I wanted it. I love it so much. Theyve always made me feel welcome and have even replaced a post for me when the jewel fell out. Ive even gotten some retainers for work so the piercing doesnt close up. After getting piercings I asked for some extra ointment to clean my piercings and was given a bag full to help make sure it wouldnt get infected. Excellent communication and customer service!! :) I will definitely be going back for more tattoos and piercings by these exceptional people.

Don’t listen to a thing these guys say. they give cleaning instructions that will cause healing issues with your piercing. give different advice for two people with the same piercing. if you get a piercing here please do research on how to actually clean your piercings.

The staff was really friendly however I got my bellybutton pierced there last Tuesday I didnt notice anything wrong until the next day when it seemed a bit swollen I realized the piercer didnt put a belly piercing in it at all or anything with room for it to heal instead he put a short barbell that tightened on my piercing leaving it irrated short story it got infected and I had to take it out even though I did everything the piercer said and cleaned it with said products my friend that got her ear done he argued about what kind of jewelry she said she would heal better with. Great piercer just needs to make sure he is putting the right jewelry so cases like this dont happen.

Very commercial—not in a good way. In and out, like a drive thru. You don’t get to speak to the artist until they’re needle deep. From the second you walk in, it’s obvious these people (or perhaps the front desk) only care about going home. Very much centered around $$$ & business over artistry.Upside to this experience was the young woman who did a great job on a small piece. Cost was less than expected.

Theyre amazing to get piercings but I would never go back for a tattoo. I had such a simple design and it got completely botched. I went to them for three of my piercings and decided to try them for my first tattoo about a year ago. The artist took maybe an hour to do my tattoo and didnt talk to me except afterwards for less than a minute about aftercare. I got home and washed my tattoo and realized some of the lines were really thick and some werent even connected.

Got my first tattoo there and they did amazing! I got my daughters name and it only took 20 minutes and got charged for the minimum! They made the whole process so easy and they’re super friendly! And I love how it turned out too! Not one error!!!! 🙂

I got an industrial, flat, and two helix piercings done by Dave and I can honestly say it was the best experience Ive ever had with getting stabbed in the face. It was professional and sterile but also welcoming and pleasant. Dave is absolutely wonderful! Its obvious that he knows exactly what hes doing. 10/10, would get stabbed again.For those wondering, the original price for the industrial was $40 and the cartilage piercings were $30 each (fantastic prices imo), but they gave me a deal because I got a bunch at once. Call and ask for a price to be sure, though.

Went with a friend to get his nipples pierced. Compared to other places it was very impersonal and in my experience, its better to have a piercer give an opinion on what is better for the customer and their body type (WITHIN REASON) to get, so they can help the customer feel the most confident. Im glad I got mine done elsewhere

I got my nose pierced two weeks ago and my piercing fell out 5 times, last time I couldn’t find it. Nor put any of my other piercings in it cause my nose is still swollen so they won’t fit. I went back 2 days ago for them to put a new one in, right this time so it wouldn’t fall out, and guess what happened? You guessed it! I’m currently driving to get a new one that will work, with an earring in my nose. I don’t know if it’s the quality of studs they have or that they can’t tighten them. But I should not have to pay $60 for a piercing that won’t even stay in. Go somewhere else.

I just want to give a huge shoutout to Dave. My girlfriend and I went in to get a nose and Medusa piercing and Dave helped us out. Super cool and knew his stuff. After finishing up he could tell that she was getting a little lightheaded and immediately helped her out and really took care of her. No doubt we found our new favorite shop and will be back again.

Ive heard mixed things about this shop and went in and got my first piece finished here after having started it at another shop. I was pleasantly surprised and had an awesome experience here! The front desk dudes were super nice and helpful and my artist, Nick, was very efficient and I left with some great work. He was very personable and would highly recommend his work to anybody. Nick Kelly is an amazing artist, he took the time to redraw the tat I wanted and made it actually look better than the original. The artist all seem amazing. Though, Big Brain has a lot more customers than other places as they are very popular so I can see why they charge a lot more for tats. Ive gotten large tattoos at other locations for the exact same price that I got a small tattoo done here.

Big Brain has almost been in the Old Market for 20 years, and I got my tongue pierced there when it was only on its second year of business. They have definitely got bigger and better!

This was my first piercing and it went so well! They were all so nice and helpful. It was and amazing experience and I will update love to continue getting services here!

The lobby of studio is nice and the person working the desk was courteous when we discussed my idea for a tattoo. I was disappointed that the artists seemed unwilling to help develop a tattoo to meet my vision; it seemed like they wanted me to bring exactly what I wanted or not get a tattoo there. When I tried following up via email the response was slow at first and then they just stopped responding so Im taking my business elsewhere.

The actual best tat/piercing shop. theyve helped me so graciously and freely with my piercings when Ive had issues. i will not ever let a different piercing place touch me with a needle. 11/10 always recommend

My daughter got her first tattoo today. She was nervous but the artist, Bryan was great and explained everything as he went. It was a tribute to her Grandpa and it looked great. Thank you Bryan.

Id give tattoo artists a 2 star, they are good but always feel like theyre getting annoying when you ask questions. But the guy who pierced my nose was super nice and quick, we even got stickers for our cars. He would get a 5 stars

I have gotten six piercings at Big Brain, my tragus, naval, faux rook, forward helix, and the conch on both of my ears. Out of those six three of them I had issues. My original forward helix and my faux rook fell out about shortly after getting them pierced. On top of that my tragus developed a piercing bump, my forward helix immediately became infected, and when my faux rook fell out the piercer replaced it with a shorter stub in which was too small and my skin absorbed and grew over the piercing (pictured after I got it done and when the skin grew over). I went to a different piercing place and they explained how they had downsized me two sizes from my original and had to break my skin open in order to get it out. I was also informed by Big Brain that I could not get my upper tragus pierced and another place informed me that I could. All these things said, I do not recommend going to Big Brain for piercings, however, when Big Brain West was open, I got a tattoo and they did an excellent job.

My first experience was was great, I got snake bites that night. Second time was to re pierce them, it was quick & easy. This time I got my tongue pierced, i absolutely love the vibe the piercer brings

Smitty is freaking ASTRONOMICAL!He was very professional and has experience. He carried relatable conversation during the process and his appearance was pleasant.The body jewelry is very affordable and There is a delightful aquarium to check out while youre visiting.

Normally I have good experiences here, recently I went to change a piercing and Im 100% sure I was pick pocked over $20.00. It was my fault for not paying closer attention and leaving my purse open/accessable I just want to forewarn future customers. Im sorry it ruined my trust for a great business.

I went in thuraday Jan 7 to set up an appointment for my first tattoo. The man that greeted me at the counter was very friendly and we set up an appointment 1 week later for my first tattoo. Bryan Mozjesik was my artist. Bryan was an exceptionally easy going and friendly guy, made the experience a lot more enjoyable than it wouldve been otherwise. About 1 minute into the tattoo, unfortunately my nerves got the better of me and I passed out without warning. I awoke 10 to 15 seconds later to Brian and the man at the counter getting me a sprite and an ice pack to cool me down, you could tell these people care about their customers. After I had cooled off, we continued on. My tattoo took about an hour and a half, and it was completely easy going. The tattoo itself turned out absolutely perfect. I have to say Bryan, and the entirety of the staff at Big Brain are wonderful, and I will be going here for the rest of my life.

Honestly I have been coming here for years. The owner Smitty is always around with a big smile on his face. I got my first trophy because of the work I have gotten done here. The prices are great and the work is outstanding. I cant go anywhere without getting complements. I wont to go to any other tattoo shop.

This place is incredible. I had a bad experience at another tattoo shop in Omaha so I was not in the best mood when I walked in to Big Brain. That changed immediately after talking to Austin at the front desk. He was patient, answered all of my questions, and talked me through some ideas. Everyone I have come into contact with thus far has been so incredibly professional, welcoming and a pleasure to talk with. Very impressed with the service!

So, I went for 3 peircings Monday night. The staff even took me right at close. I had been here previously for 2 piercings before, and they were perfectly done. I have a ton of lobe and cartilage piercings. I added 2 more simple cartilage piercings. The third was a tongue piercing. It went well, hurt but nothing i cant handle. Dave himself is pretty great. He was patient and swift. I had a tattoo fixed a few months back. The tattoo artist did great work and was pretty cool once he warmed up to me. Overall the work and environment is pretty cool. Now i have 2 more tats to get fixed.Herein lies the issue. The front desk people kind of made me feel embarrassed for even letting a crappy tattoo artist work on me. I get it was stupid but i learned my lesson and I wont let anyone outside of the shop do my work. I just wish I didnt feel so harshly judged for decisions I made one drunken weekend. Like I know it was stupid. Now im too ashamed to show him my arm and kind of afraid Ill be charged another arm and a leg for filling in and straightening lines on a very small tattoo. Great place

Had my tongue pierced here. Staff was professional and I have no complaints. Bought some barbells recently and although they were absolutely swamped, they got me taken care of right away.

I’ve gotten 7 piercings and a tattoo from here, they have always been very professional with me. The staff always makes me feel welcome and comfortable. I’m sure I will be back

Just wanted to give a shout out to the guys at Big Brain they were all very nice, profesional, and efficient. Although they were super busy and full they still made sure to check you in and have you take a seat, updated me on wait time which was great and simply made me feel comfortable versus other places I have gone to and they don’t even acknowledge you.I got my septum pierced with Smitty and hands down I recommend him 100%. He’s knowledgeable, clean, professional and super funny. He respected the fact I was a bit nervous and also educated me on what I was doing. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone wanting to get a new piercing. Dave was super friendly and very thorough when it came to explaining the after care of the piercing I got. The shop itself was very clean sterile and very welcoming. The experience was over all amazing

Rudest, laziest worker at front desk. We were trying to get a paw print tattoo of our recently passed dog. Every idea my daughter had, they shot it down. The girl at the front desk literally said maybe you should think of a different way to honor your pet. My daughter left the shop in tears. A friend suggested Dreamwerks in Plattsmouth and they were awesome.

Fast, friendly, cost effective, helpful. The piercer fixed a screw up a piercer at another shop made, he switched my jewelry, gave some advice, sent me on my way. Will definitely be going here first next time!! Also reccomending.

I got my first tattoo here over a year ago by Tanner and the experience was great. I didnt feel rushed or feel as though the staff were rude in any way. They even went down on the quoted price. They were even willing to set me up with an appt online since i lived 1.5 hrs away but unfortunately, I ended up leaving the country before I got a chance to book. Not sure why people gave bad reviews, but if youre looking for a place to get inked, id def give them a shot

I had gotten a double piercing done there and they were extremely professional. Nothing felt as awkward as I had anticipated and they did a get job with my piercings. I definitely will be returning back when I want to get my next piercing done.

I have gotten all of my tattoos here and I wouldnt go anywhere else! They let you know what will fade or blend well and the artwork is just beautiful. Justin is my favorite artists but all of them are amazing!

When I went to pierce my ear, Dave did such a good job. He talked to me the whole time and made me so comfortable. I felt almost nothing and I would recommend them to anyone!

I was pretty happy when I went and got my lip done-the guy was so sweet and did an amazing job.Edit: Went back for a few different piercings. Different guys but still sweet and open to any questions you may have.

The receptionist guys were total jerks to my sister and I. He told us over the phone $30 lip piercing includes the jewelry. My sister finished and the guys seemed “so shocked” about someone telling us that over the phone which we recognized his voice from the phone. Like we know most places charge that amount, if we would have known they charged $40 we could have gone somewhere way closer to us. Them being rude to us in front of people just didn’t make any better ! On the other hand the guy I believe named Brian who repierced my sisters lip placed the piercing below her old one after she specifically said she wanted that hole repierced and not make another hole which he did, right underneath. Just did not have a good experience here within the dam 20min being there. Kind of Glad I didn’t get my piercing done.

Went here to get three piercings. The service and efficiency is amazing! They are professional and know what they are doing. Love all my piercing. Recommend!
