Kamai’a has a very clean and welcoming space, even though the mall itself is not easy to navigate. Booking via the link on Instagram made it easy! Was quoted for just about the right amount of time, and there was a lot of care put into my newest piece. Would definitely recommend to others to check them out!

I received services from Kamaia Sanders at Makaia Ink off 42nd and Cente St in the Center Mall earlier this year and she would be my new artist. Wrong! Her art is decent, but her character is awful and, to me, that speaks louder. I got a tattoo from her and everything was good. Got another and was not happy, so I booked a coverup with her. I payed for the appointment and she ghosted me. She texted the day of and said she double booked herself (which I dont see how when all the bookings are online). I attempted to reach out on 3 occasions (7/27, 7/28, and 8/2) to reschedule. I was respectful and could understand if she did not have time to complete the cover up that I already payed for, but I got no reply. Even though she was clearly posting other tattoos she was completing since my scheduled appointment. I asked for a simple refund, as I did not recieve services.I thought this would be the end of it. Nope. I had to dispute it with my bank to get my money back. I had all of the receipts to back it up, no worries there. Since this, I have heard from other people that she just doesnt show up for appointments and takes down payments and no shows. Some business owner. She posted about her terms and policies, but nothing shows if she is the one who breaks them.And it is rumored that she has changed the name of her business to avoid instances like this.100% do not recommend!

I couldn’t be happier with my tattoo done by Makai Ink! I gave her my idea to run with and it came out better than I imagined! She has a soft touch with amazing detail and clean crisp lines.

Kamai is a gem to work with. She brought my vision to life! I highly recommend her services.
