Soda Pop Piercing

Went in to grab some jewelry because I left mine at home while working out of town. They were the closest shop to me open late which I needed. Soda Pop Piercing is a small shop that recently opened so their jewelry selection isnt massive but it is varied. I was greeted by West immediately and they helped me find what I was looking for. I have a less common plug size (9/16) and West worked quickly to find something that would fit. Luckily, they had a white (quartz iirc) and black stone pair that fit me and my style perfectly! The shop is clean, bright and open with solid decor. A very inviting but subtle shopfront that I appreciated greatly. Overall, 10/10 experience, I was very thankful for their services. Not to mention the effort put in to get me out the door happy and likely to return!

I went in yesterday on a whim wanting to get my nostril pierced. Ive had plenty of other piercings before from other shops but honestly I loved this experience the most.I had Seth as my piercer and absolutely adored him. He was so knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I wasnt nervous but the entire time I was there it felt like I was just chatting with a friend. The pricing was on point, the jewelry had a wonderful selection, and all the staff I interacted with were so nice and welcoming.Overall, would definitely recommend and go back for more. Cant say enough how much I loved this place. 🩷🩷

This place is amazing! I recently got my septum pierced with my older brother. Making the appointment online was easy and quick. The shop itself is gorgeous, the staff is super helpful and really takes the time to explain everything from jewelry, the piercing process, and care.We were able to have our appointment together in half the time. We were pierced by Alexander. He was amazing. He gave us the pros and cons, and was transparent about the challenges. I have a deviated septum and it still turned out perfectly. My brother and I are so excited about our piercing and the experience was next level.Cannot recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back.

Great experience here! Clean and pretty inside and from the moment I walked in the team standing behind the desk were very friendly and sporting all the most beautiful piercing jewelry of course. I felt very comfortable with Bobby who did my piercing and really spent time spacing it properly. Loved it and this will definitely be the only place I come for any future piercing!

The folks here are so accommodating and kind! Went in originally to get help with my septum piece. The piercer, Lys was incredibly helpful with removing it and giving care advice! Everybody at the front desk is also pleasant and knowledgeable. I always ask 10 billion question about the jewelry, and theyre patient and helpful with their answers, even when busy. Definitely recommend going here!

The best piercing studio in Portland! ✨ Everyone at Soda Pop has a fantastic attitude and is there to make sure you as a customer are comfortable. There’s no mystery to the process, they outline everything that’s happening as they do it and you can take breaks as needed. The jewelry is super high quality, so be prepared for the higher cost. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!

Had an amazing experience here! Krystal (and the rest of the staff) were super easy going, everything was explained in a professional way without being jargon-ridden, the jewelry offered is quality jewelry and the selection is extensive and the all-around vibe of the shop is chill! Truly the most beautiful piercing experience Ive ever had. Respectful of pronouns. Billy and his apprentice ( I think their name was Wes) were so kind and helpful. I was very nervous and they made the process as easy as possible. Billy even gave me some advice on my very angry bridge piercing and offered to check up on it in a few weeks. Ive had bad piercing experiences, but I felt very safe here. I cant wait to come back. 🥰

Ive been to Soda Pop 3 times in the last 3 weeks and every visit has been a 10/10 experience. I first went for a third forward helix piercing with Sammy and they did an excellent job educating me on why my anatomy would make healing a difficult and painful process, but left the decision up to me. I ended up getting a conch piercing instead and am very happy with that decision. After about a week, my new piercing started to swell past the jewelry so I went in without an appointment and they got me in straight away. Lys did did a great job switching out the post with as little pain as possible and gave me some great tips to deal with the swelling. They didnt charge me at all which was unexpected, but greatly appreciated. Finally, I went in just to buy some new jewelry for a couple of other piercings. Kara made the most perfect jewelry recommendations that I never would have picked out for myself and Billy did an excellent job fitting them and making sure they were comfortable.Every staff member Ive met as Soda Pop has been kind, welcoming, and give off an easy-breezy kinda vibe. They are incredibly knowledgeable and give great advice. The shop itself is very clean, light, bright, and comfortable and they have a gorgeous selection of jewelry. I will definitely be back in the near future.

17 year industry veteran here. Super impressed with the whole experience and immediately felt like we were in good hands. They were friendly, warm, knowledgeable and fun from start to finish. Beautiful space and great location were bonuses. Definitely will be back, we found our new go to piercing studio and we will be recommending them to all our friends family and clients!

My piercing was done by Sammy - she is AMAZING and I highly recommend her. The suite is very nice, well organized and they have a great selection of jewelry options. My piercing wasn’t normal due to previous surgeries. I felt extremely comfortable with her professionalism, anatomy knowledge, flexibility and technique. Wonderful spot, their guest piercer Alexander pierced a bent industrial for me.They were so supportive, friendly, and took great care and demonstrated great expertise.They went the extra mile for me to be able to have this because I don’t have the ears for a regular industrial because my flap is so small. Alexander bent the bar and did amazing work with my ear and I’m so happy

It was my first time visiting the shop, and I had an absolutely fantastic experience. Seth was wonderful and an absolute professional, answering all of my (many) questions and walking me through the entire process, which put my mind at ease. The best experience I have ever had in a studio. Seth was absolutely amazing. He walked me through each step of the process and made me feel so incredibly calm and comfortable. I was so impressed by his professionalism as well. He took my individual anatomy into consideration and really worked to give me the best piercing possible. The individual before me came in for a piercing and after a very thorough consultation, it was decided that was not the best piercing for them. Recently had my nipples pierced here and what a great place!! The staff were super nice and professional, very thorough, eased all my anxieties and were exceptionally knowledgable. The shop was clean and beautiful, the jewelry selection was top-notch, the prices were very reasonable and the whole process from start to finish was very easy! My daughter got her ear lobes pierced for her 12th birthday. The staff made her feel very comfortable and celebrated. They did an amazing job with the piercings and they look amazing. Great placement on the ear lobes. Would recommend this place. Very clean and comfortable space.

Legit THE BEST piercing experience I ever had ! The facility is very clean and smells great as soon as you walk in you feel comfortable and safe from the front desk staff ! I went on a Sunday and my piercer was Seth, and let me tell you this human is the most kind ,beautiful, and safe piercer I’ve ever had ! He walked me through literally EVERY step of the process ! Didn’t rush me or the appointment at all ! He even allowed my friend to come back there and hold my hand ! When I first asked if someone could hold my hand he thought I wasn’t going to bring my friend there and was about to grab one of his coworkers to hold my hand ! It was beyond sweet and reassuring ! So if you don’t have anyone to bring to support you don’t even worry about it because they will! If I could give more than 5 stars I would hands down. Legit going to get all my piercings done with Seth from now on. 10/10 would definitely recommend! Seriously I felt so so safe and supported that it makes me emotional 🥹🥹 Seth and both of his co workers were beyond genuine and kind. Beyond loved my experience. Billy helped me get 3 piercings out that another shop had used pliers to screw on more than a year prior. Walked me through every step and got me switched into jewelry that actually fit. Kind, compassionate, and friendly even though they were busy. The jewelry is stunning and priced amazing. Sammy pierced both my daughters’ earlobes for the first time. They were incredible! I was so impressed by their knowledge, care and willingness to take time so that both my girls felt comfortable. The experience we had at Soda Pop was night and day from what I had experienced as a child. I felt like I learned so much about piercing and my daughters now know what to do to take care the best care of their new piercings. Couldn’t recommend this shop and Sammy any more highly.

Been here a few times now, always a great experience. They helped me get a glass nostril retainer placed so I could safely get a brain MRI without my piercing closing up. Easy online scheduling and I always felt like I was in the best of hands. Bonus the neighborhood is super cute - if you dont live nearby you can make an afternoon of it :)

Best piercing shop I’ve ever been and so beautiful too!the crew is amazing, super nice and genuine.i got my rook pierced by Seth and it has been the first cartilage piercing that healed perfectly and with no bumps. when i had questions, i reached out to Seth and he was super nice and got back to me right away. when i was in town this week, i went to Billy to check my rook and he cleaned it and left it like new (i had some crusties going on lol). im def coming back for all my piercing needs. amazing job guys!

I really loved the vibe, look, and feeling inside Soda Pop Piercing. I felt like the piercer listened and gave great recommendations for what I wanted. I was able to get new jewelry and a new lobe piercing quickly and safely, and my piercer also help me save some dollars with using my existing posts. The tunes were sick (early aughts music selections) and its so visually pleasing inside. Lots of great jewelry to choose from!My only semi-negative thing is that the building is old (HISTORIC) and echo-y. If you or your friend or your kid gets easily overstimulated, maybe take some ear plugs or headphones for pre-piercing waiting. Overall, love this place. 10/10 recommend, will be returning for more.

The environment in this shop is so unlike other piercing shops, it made me feel so comfortable. Every employee enthusiastically answered every question I had. I came in to get some angry piercings removed and I didn’t feel judged at all for the shape some of the piercings (from another shop) were in. Every employee was so knowledgeable and I would happily go back for future piercings. My only complaint is that the jewelry is a bit on the pricey side but its very high quality and cute so I know its good quality for your money.

Made an appointment at Soda Pop to get an old piercing reopened and new jewelry placed. Cristal and Krista at the front desk were absolutely freaking delightful! They helped to research a custom jewelry order for me when I come back to downsize the piercing before I went back with Billy for the piercing itself. Billy was kind and incredibly gentle - especially given that he had to unblock the old hole and stretch it with a taper to the size I wanted (it was bilateral nipple piercings too, so you can imagine how spicy things might get!)Over all the whole staff was wonderful and theyre my new go-to Portland piercing studio!

I had been thinking about getting matching nostril piercings but hadn’t really committed to where or when. I was around the corner at a different business and noticed this spot pop up on my Google maps - I walked over, was greeted by two gorgeous humans that helped me understand pricing and jewelry options. They were able to see me just a few minutes after I filled out consent forms. Alexander did a great job placing the piercings, explaining the symmetry of the placement, and telling me how to care for them. The piercings were quick and he was gentle with the jewelry. They also seem to stand by their work long term. I was encouraged to reach out or come in for any issues, even if I felt the piercings were uneven once healed, etc. I would absolutely recommend this place!

Professional, patient, kind, Wise and meticulous customer serviceI stopped in to got a piercing removed for an MRI, and order a new hoop for my nose.Other shops have told me the gauge and diameter of my hoop is uncommon and dont make the effort to replace it. They make suggestions instead. I recieved the opposite response here, as I was encouraged to get what I wanted and not settle, and the effort was made as they found me exactly what I had requested.I did not know the specs of my hoop, and it was carefully measured to ensure I get exactly what I requested.I was not charged one penny for the removal of my hoop, and then the after my MRI I was not charged one penny for the hoop to be put back in.No deposit was taken for my order, they have no guarantee of me purchasing the new hoop I ordered, yet I was given kind and dignified service TWICE. Also, when my hoop was put back in, it was done with meticulous care and they actually improved the hoop, as it was bent slightly out of round.I recommend this shop for all piercing needs. Care and knowledge are in good supply there, as well as Understanding.

Beautiful shop and great staff that makes you feel comfy! Did a lot of research of shops in portland and I’m so thankful I decided on them. Got my nipples done a few weeks ago and they are healing amazing! I was soooo nervous about the healing process because of everything I’ve read online in regards to these piercings healing process but I gotta say, making sure you have skilled piercers and quality jewelry has made all the difference! Everything about this shop is top notch. From the moment I walked in the door I was made to feel incredibly welcome. The person performing my piercing (Billy) was a delight, put me completely at ease, felt like I knew them for years. I cannot recommend them enough.

Overall, I had a really lovely experience here. The piercing itself was awesome. I had my septum pierced by Billy, the legend himself. Billy is very kind and personable. He was energetic when he greeted me, yet had a calming presence in the piercing room. He took the time to assess my nose anatomy and answer all my questions and concerns. The place seemed very clean, and the process seemed clean and sterile. Billy explained the process so I knew what to expect, and I followed his instructions to the best of my abilities in spite of being a bit nervous. I barely felt a thing, my eyes barely watered. This was my first attempt at a piercing since having my belly button done 15 years ago, and I’d probably regard it as my first truly professional piercing. None of my previous piercings have withstood the test of time, but I have a feeling this one will. It’s so cute and I’m really in love with it.Small mentions:• They didn’t have any water available. I found that a little disappointing since water is important if someone is on the brink of passing out. It sounds like they typically have some water on hand, but ran out today. Make sure to bring some just in case!• The selection of jewelry was smaller than I expected. I had an idea of what I was looking for, but the closest thing they had was too large of a hoop for my preference. I ended up spending quite a bit of $$$ on a ring I only medium-liked. I liked it better once I was wearing it though :)Overall Conclusion: DEFINITELY come here for your piercing. If you’ve been thinking on it for awhile, JUST DO IT! You can keep having girl crushes on cute girls with cute septum piercings, or you can be the cute girl with the cute septum piercing! :) When I was asking random people who pierced them, most would say “Billy” or “Seth” from Adorn. I happened across Soda Pop on Google. I saw all their rave reviews, and then I noticed the piercers at Soda Pop were the very same ones I’d been hearing about all over town. Soda Pop has only been open for a couple of months, so I think they’re still working out some small details, but the piercing process is most important, and Billy is unmistakably a master of his craft. I’m already musing over what piercings I may get here after my septum heals.

Where to begin — I truly can’t say enough good things about Soda Pop. I walked in without an appointment hoping to get my septum pierced. Crystal was so kind and helpful, walking me through all my jewelry options, giving me a very transparent cost estimate, and making me feel really comfortable. Billy was my piercer and my first interaction with him was when he came out from the back to check out my nose anatomy to see if it would work well, and I *immediately* felt so comfortable with his energy and presence! Throughout the whole process he was SO patient, gentle, communicative, kind — and the cherry on top was that he did an absolutely incredible job on my piercing! I love it so so so much, it’s better than I could have expected. As a woman, it’s always a gamble with intimate services like this performed by men — we’re always on high alert for our comfort and safety. It’s really clear that Billy understands this thoroughly, and doesn’t take his position lightly. I could tell that he was intentionally making me feel comfortable and safe, and that was worth any amount of money the piercing could have cost. Thank you to both Billy and Crystal for such a memorable and seamless experience. I came in expecting to just casually get a new piercing and I left quite literally dumbfounded by the atmosphere, energy, and people. This place is amazing! I really wanted my septum pierced, but after doing a thorough exam Billy let me know it would be difficult with my anatomy. He walked me through the options, let me think about it, and then I decided to just get my nostril pierced instead. He was patient, kind, and the nose piercing looks super cute! I am so thankful I went here, and would hands down come back for any/all future piercings. You guys are so awesome!!

Love! Billy has been piercing me for over 10 years. So happy for this new adventure for their shop and careers. Shop is clean and bright and pretty. They do get busy so appointments are a bonus. But walk ins they still treat people calmly and try to service them on the spot.The follow up care is also there with compassion, active listening and game plans. They really are doing amazing work showcasing jewelry from independent studios. Overall anyone at their shop I would suggest especially if you have anxiety or autism because of how calm and warm people are there. Also well stalked bathrooms with hygiene products.

Billy and his team are incredibly friendly and made my piercing experience a complete delight. They have beautiful, high quality jewelry to choose from, clean facilities, and Billy knows his stuff. They have lots of 14k gold studs to choose from, which is what I was looking for. I found the place on a whim while visiting Portland from out of state, and am SO glad I chose to get my ears pierced here instead of literally anywhere else. This was such a sweet addition to Mississippi St.i got my first piercing in almost 6 years and was deliberating what/where I wanted! I landed on the Conch! Was greeted as I walked in and shown a beautiful selection of jewelery within my price range, everything was super easy and I waited about 10ish minutes until I was led into one of the piercing areas where Billy chatted with me about life and aftercare!Overall 15/10 experience.Will be back real soon!

I wanted to give a shoutout to Sammy for taking the time during my measurement/downsize appointment to also take a look at my daith piercing that had been struggling after I accidentally got lake water on it. They were able to identify a potential infection and suggested I check in with a medical professional just to be safe. I checked in with a doctor the next day who confirmed the infection and started me on antibiotics right away. I just finished my weeklong antibiotics yesterday and my piercing is much happier! I probably would have continued struggling if they had not taken the time to take a look at it.And shoutout to Kara for remembering me from when I was a customer at a different studio. Them remembering me made me feel seen and welcomed! You have an amazing staff!

Great spot. I got 4 piercings done here (lobes) and my nose ring taken out and it was a 10/10 experience. Clean, gentle, and everyone in the shop is so nice. They have a variety of jewelry in multiple price points so it’s accessible for most. Shoutout to Billy! Will be back for more piercings in the future.

Maybe it was just an off day, but Billy was just kind of, off putting. Slightly, judgemental? I guess would be the right word. Seemed frustrated with the questions I was asking. And maybe I was coming off wrong, but it just seemed weird. I was only getting my jewelry removed so maybe if I had gone though the whole piercing process It would of gone better. I dont think I will be returning. However, with the overwhelmingly positive review, maybe it truly was an odd day. Id say see for yourself!

Stopped by while in town to have a nostril piercing checked out which I had done in Texas about six weeks prior. I was hoping a jewelry change would help improve healing (was struggling with keloids) but unfortunately the piercing wasn’t salvageable. As a former piercer, I was afraid that might be the case due to poor placement but it’s hard to look up your own nose! Anyway, instead of just selling me new jewelry for a profit, I was given a full eval and thorough feedback before ultimately advised to ditch the piercing and start anew after it had totally healed. They even removed the jewelry and cleaned me up free of charge! Considering that I went expecting to spend money, I decided to get some new saddles for my stretched ears (which are two completely different sizes of course!)…once again, no problem! I walked out with two new saddles customized to fit each lobe!You really can’t ask for a better quality experience. These folks are knowledgeable, compassionate, and committed to an ethic of care! Add all of that to a stellar, high quality jewelry collection and why would you go anywhere else?!I’m literally waiting until I can visit Portland again to get my nose piercing redone here. If I could rate them a 10 I would.Update 3 weeks after initial visit:I went back for my new nostril piercing and had an awesome experience with Sam who did a stellar job with my piercing! The only problem is now they have even MORE jewelry! UGH - the decision! Anyway, no surprise, I received the same exceptional care this time as I did last time I visited.

The shop owner is the cutest sweetest human and the guy who pierced me was so chill! Also, the shop is so beautiful! I felt really comfortable and honestly like I was in the presence of friends. I will be back for more piercings and I will be telling everyone to go here for piercings!

I’d been looking for a good piercing studio after relocating from NYC and heard wonderful things about Soda Pop. I popped in for a quick jewelry downsize appointment before work in the neighborhood - Cristal and Billy could not have been more lovely! Really kind, fun people in a beautiful space. I’ve been suggesting it to all my friends and will definitely be back!

I was having a mental crisis and decided to get a second piercing on my lobes spontaneously. They were quick and efficient in getting me an appointment, and the entire process was smooth and painless. Seth (I think that was their name) was communicative about what they were doing, and were so damn good at making the whole thing comfortable, safe, and easy. 10/10 would recommend.

My experience at Soda Pop Piercing was so good that I’m trying to figure out what to pierce next! From walking in and meeting the lovely Crystal who helped me envision the piercing and find the perfect jewelry, to meeting my piercer, Billy, who showed me where he thought the perfect conch piercing should go in my very pierced ear, the whole experience was flawless. Hands down the best looking and least painful piercing I’ve had yet! I highly recommend them!

A special shoutout to Billy and Seth who were SOOO patient and meticulous with the placement of my piercings, but the jewelry staff are great too!!I came in initially for a consult about my matched nostril piercings that I had gotten at another shop but was unhappy with the placement. Billy looked over my nose and determined having piercings placed higher on my nostrils would look a lot more even with my personal nose anatomy. When I came back in for the new piercings Billy and Seth were both INCREDIBLE, you can tell how passionate they are about what they do. They worked together to find the best placement for my nose and were so fun and comforting (I’m a wuss about piercings haha). Really really wonderful experience, I’d recommend this shop to anyone!! Thank you again!!

I went in thinking I needed some holes re-pierced but the friendly and knowledgeable staff determined that they werent completely closed and I simply needed new jewelry installed with the help of a tapper. A great experience.

I love my new lobe piercings. The vibes are immaculate, Billy is an awesome piercer, and the customer service is great. There was a mixup with my receipt that was immediately rectified once brought to their attention.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this shop. I got my conch pierced, and they made it easy and relatively painless. I have gone in a couple times to get an angry piercing looked at. I was met with warmth and concern. Billy did research into how my skin condition might be impacting my piercing and we have a plan to take care of it moving forward. I feel so cared for here! Will be returning soon for more troubleshooting, jewelry, and piercings.

Alexander was super helpful recommending jewelry for my nose piercing. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the different types of metal, and helped steer me away from stuff that would irritate my really sensitive skin!

Crystal and Billy were both extremely patient with me, I was very indecisive going in about what I wanted, and they helped me pick out the coolest pieces and helped me make figure out a plan for curating the rest of my ear. The jewelry selection was great, it was hard to not walk out wearing the whole store. Best in the biz! Crystal is so helpful with getting jewelry worked out and Billy is the most gentle piercer, he fully helped calm my piercing anxiety. I’m obsessed with my new eyebrow piercing!

My young daughter has been begging for her ears pierced and they were willing to let her try, she didn’t end up going through with it but they were extremely patient with her and let her try 2 times!! Great experience! Came in for a naval piercing, left after changing the jewelry on an existing piercing. The piercer looked at my anatomy and gave me a realistic idea of what my options were, and we both decided it wasn’t the piercing for me. Thank you, Soda Pop team :)

Yall this is the spot. Jewelry selection is on point and the whole atmosphere is bangin. I came in to get some rings swapped out so cant speak to the full piercing experience, but I can speak to their patience as I am very talkative and indecisive, and the swap was quick and easy. Stoked to have them on Mississippi Ave - a much needed hole has been filled!
