I have to say, I don’t know a kinder, more compassionate and professional place in Portland to go to get pierced. I have been pierced here on my nose, for the first time, and another piercing on my ear, and I brought my daughter here to also be pierced. They have also been super humans, who, when I’ve managed to pop my nose jewelry off my nose multiple times (I think we are 5 now), have seen me right away and helped me get the jewelry back on. I’m just that gal. All of the piercers are excellent and the tattoo artist are amazing. Looking forward to getting a tattoo from one of these fine folks one day. You have to go here if you want to get a piercing. They have incredible jewelry by thunder Rose jewelry, which is one of the tattoo, artist businesses, and I personally own several pieces from this fabulous person. They are very professional, take sanitation, and sterilization very seriously and go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable and have an excellent experience. I will go back again and again to get piercings here. They’re all beautiful human beings.

Super laid back, friendly, clean, and professional ... arranged for my 17 yo daughter to get a septum piercing. Artist took ample time to get her comfortable, helped her to select jewelry, and talked her thru process, practiced breathing and followed super clean procedures prepping and executing the piercing. Really a great experience and an unexpectedly reasonable price. Highest recommendation.

I had an excellent experience getting a septum piercing from Seven Wolfe. They did a great job on the piercing itself, and explained everything very clearly. Everyone in the shop was friendly, and the whole process was pleasantly efficient.

Seven Wolfe was amazing, so kind and so knowledgeable! The shop is so clean.. I got 3 piercings in one day all turned out great. If you’re sick of feeling unwanted and disrespected at shops then I highly suggest coming here. I felt very welcomed and taken care of. Also when we came in someone helped us with the jewelry selection and they were also super kind and patient. Definitely coming back.

Everything about my experience here was a delight. Everyone has a chill, friendly vibe. Their practices are super sanitary.My piercer, Seven, was so kind and thoroughly explained everything, which went a long way towards tempering my needle anxiety. And the piercing looks perfect.Ive had piercings and tattoos done in places all around the country, but this was, hands down, the best experience Ive ever had.

I had the most wonderful experience with Seven Wolfe today , my Medusa piecing took some blunt trauma and really need to switched into something bigger to accommodate the swelling.I talked to Jesse on the phone, and they highly recommend that I would come in even though they were busy .I ended up working with Seven Wolfe today and they were the most amazing piercer.I didn’t feel any pain I was seriously stunned!! They walked through every step with me and let me know it was happening.I really appreciate that they were able to fit me and even know their schedule is very busy highly recommend seeing this person.🤍🤍

Never had a bad experience here. Seven pierced my oldest kids ears and mine, and Adru pierced my youngests. They have both been fantastic. Front desk was super friendly both times.Well cared for shop great vibe, peaceful even when full, super clean and knowledgeable.Highly recommend.

Wonderful piercing experience! My two sisters were visiting from California and we went to get pierced together. Everyone was so accommodating and nice. The piercings have all healed so well, too! We had a great time and will definitely be going back!

Andru pierced my 7 year old daughter’s ears and he did such an amazing job! He was very informative at every step and gentle in his approach. My daughter thought the anticipation was worse than the actual piercing. She loves her new pierced ears and would do it again with Andru in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

Seven is very detail oriented. Seven explained the process step by step and how they sterilize items. There is a calm presence that is quite reassuring and validating. Strongly recommend to get any and all piercings with Seven.

My step kid got a gift certificate at Christmas to Ritual Arts and went to this place today to get his piercing and had to spend money online just to make an appointment. As soon as he got there they told him that their gift certificates expire after 6 months. He also wasnt allowed a refund for the money he had to pay just to get the appointment. This is infuriating and I definitely recommend NEVER getting a gift certificate to here or even coming here.

Great experience with Seven and the rest of the staff. Seven helped me pick out a new noise ring, was very gentle, listened to my concerns, and was able to provide helpful advice. The shop also has crystals to purchase as well a great variety of jewelry to choose from.

Ive gotten tattoo work many times, all were sessions with Jason Stewart. Hes one of the most talented and professional artists that Ive been in close contact with.I had been an admirer of Jasons work via Instagram for a couple of years and I really wanted a custom piece by him. Shortly after he moved to Ritual (in the Hollywood district) from Robot (in NW), I contacted the Ritual shop to set up an appointment.The first session followed an initial consultation, where I presented a drawing that I wanted adapted into a tattoo piece. Jason was able to modify the size of the piece, a drawing of a spiders face, and added some legs that perfectly suited the piece. Though I had hoped for a right arm tattoo, he encouraged switching to the left arm. Looking back, I really appreciate this suggestion.The second session was mostly freestyle tattooing. I gave Jason a general concept of an eye set into some abstracted landscape. He did a stencil for the pupil and outline of the eye, and then tattooed everything else freestyle. To me, this was when I really started to see his artistic genius appear on my arm. His ability to mold personal vision and spirituality into an organic, one of a kind piece of art work is remarkable. He gave the piece a lot of life and movement, using smaller needles to lend an impressionistic, water like quality to the work.The third session, was another freestyle session. I gave a rather vague idea of wanting a face on my inner arm, linking to the spider legs on my outer arm. I just gave all trust over to Jason, and let him have at it. The session took about three and a half hours and was another stroke of artistic genius. Im so grateful for all of the hard, focused work that has gone into my half-sleeve. The growth and evolution of the piece has helped me pursue my own spiritual growth, and thats a beautiful and priceless gift.All the following sessions have been completely freestyle work with no stencil work at all.Bravo to Jason, and thanks to Ritual for keeping a quiet and comfortable space for the artists of Portland.

Seven was the nicest person and really helped me feel calm while getting my first piercing. They explained everything with great detail as well as answered all questions I had. The place was also very well taken care of and sanitary precautions were above expectations. Would definitely recommend this place and Seven!

Seven made my son and me feel totally safe and at ease. The space was spectacularly clean, and he explained all their safety measures clearly. My son got his ear pierced and was sent home with excellent instructions for care. Highly recommend and will definitely go back if my son decides he wants another piercing.

I had my ears slightly stretched when I was a youngster, but I was like 14 and didn’t know what good hygiene was. So I ended up taking them out and they closed up. I scheduled an appt at Ritual and I was able to go in same-day, about three hours after I went on the site to book. My piercer was 7 Wolfe, and they were beyond accommodating and professional. I felt super comfortable, and they were VERY knowledgeable. It gave me a lot of confidence in what I was having done. You really do get what you pay for. They also have high quality jewelry and many original pieces in titanium, 18k gold and other materials that are done in house by one of the piercers! (I don’t remember who). Anyways yeah they come highly recommended by me :)

I got my septum pierced by today by 7! They were amazing- if I could give them a 6 star review I would.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️They went above and beyond to explain the process and were so kind and welcoming. The reassurance they gave for sanitation was amazing. I’ve had some really tough piercings in the past - not this time 7 was THE BEST!If your nervous book the appointment with them.Also when I was on my way out they let me choose a Little Rock to take home . It was the best, I am putting that Little Rock on my little shelf and it will remind me of how awesome that experience was.Thank you again 7.

This place is amazing. The people there are absolutely fantastic - Jesse did my amazing tattoo and was so so so great about hearing what I wanted, offering suggestions, and adding in his own beautiful touches. He and Orin checked in on me during the process to make sute I was doing well.I had been admittedly nervous about not seeing the art as I neared my scheduled date - I can say in hindsight that it was a silly worry to have. The piece Jesse made for me was glorious and worked quickly with me in making small adjustments. The day I went in he went above and beyond to make sure it was perfect!I could gush about every bit of detail that I love about Ritual Arts and the folks that work there but honestly just go in and expierence it for yourself!

I was thinking about getting another tattoo after it is safe and as I was looking at this shop I realized..I never left a review for the amazing tattoos I got here omg!!So Im doing it now!!! I loveeee them, my first and second tattoo ever. When I get a vaccine and feel safe, I want another!This is a great shop and they really work with the client to make sure you get exactly what you want. I had an idea in my head and every time they nailed it completely!

I had a wonderful experience getting my septum piercing stretched. My piercer Seven was fantastic, and accommodated my nervousness wonderfully. The process was as comfortable as possible, and I left feeling satisfied and like Id been considerately taken care of! I would recommend them to anyone seeking a piercing, and will be back when its time to size up my jewelry again.

I had my septum pierced with Andru. I was nervous, but they talked me through every step. He was really kind and made the experience easy. I’ve interacted with a few different people, and everyone is always nice and knowledgeable.Yesterday I was pierced by Seven for the first time, and I was blown away by their positive energy and kindness. I always get nervous for a new piercing, and they made me feel so at ease.Before my piercing, Farata’ helped me pick out jewelry. They gave great insight on what might work well. Picking from so many options can be a bit overwhelming, but they made it much easier. I ended up with a beautiful end from Thunder Rose Jewelry, which is an in house brand from one of their artists.This is honestly a wonderful group of people, and I’m glad this place exists. You can’t go wrong with anyone on the piercing side of things. I plan to get tattooed here one day too, and I’m sure it’ll be as great of an experience as I’ve always had.

I am new to the world of piercings and didnt know what to expect, but my experience at Ritual Arts has left me very happy. The lady at the front desk helped me pick out the jewelry and also educated me about what would be best for my daith piercing. Andru, the body piercer, made my experience stress-free. He walked me through each step, answering all my questions and more. I mentioned that I was looking for therapeutic benefits from my piercing and he made sure to find the best spot possible, taking his time to make sure I got what I wanted. When he did the piercing, it felt unique, like a heavy weight being lifted off my head. I highly recommend Ritual Arts and plan to become a regular customer.

Got several piercings with my partner here. Seven Wolfe was amazing, I loved the service and I had a great piercing experience. Unfortunately I think the prices of the jewelry are excessive. The cost of the piercings themselves were fine and about what I would expect, and the website does say jewelry is billed separately and will be at least 20$ per piece, but those prices are just for the jewel part of the stud. Ritual Arts uses a special back and stud that lock into each other through spring tension, and both those parts are billed separately. So when I was told it would be 23$ for my stud, I assumed that price included the back. The back ended up being an additional 50$, which was way more than I expected to pay. On top of that, I got a septum with an open bottom. The charges for the jewelry billed the loop (the center part) and each of the two balls that thread into the bottom as three separate charges. We got two earlobe piercings, a helix, and a septum, which totaled to about 140$ for the piercing service, which is fine. Expecting to pay around 20$ for each piece of jewelry placed, we expected to pay about 80$ for the jewelry to total about 220$. The total given to us at checkout was 340$. If the total cost of the jewelry was given before we had gotten pierced we probably wouldve gone somewhere else, and I think billing the separate pieces of the jewelry separately is a little dishonest, which is a shame because we really did have a great experience here. Just a heads up if you want to come here.

True to their business name, these folks really approach their work with intention and care. I took forever looking at all their beautiful jewelry and asking a ton of questions, which they answered with expertise and patience! Without a doubt this’ll be my go-to shop and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for quality jewelry and a comfortable/personalized piercing experience. Plus, it’s peaceful and beautiful in there! 🌱

I searched the best tattoo artists in Oregon and ended up at Ritual Arts, with Lou Martin. My sleeves are almost finished after about 2 years and they wildly exceeded any and all expectations I ever had!! All the artists at Ritual Arts are consummate professionals and I recommend them all, especially Lou, to anyone looking for amazing tattoos!!

Seven Wolfe is amazing- my girlfriend went to him for a cartilage piercing and the experience was great, I’ve been to him twice now and both times were amazing. It’s a bit pricey but it’s high quality jewelry, outstanding sterilization/cleaning practices, etc. I have insanely sensitive skin when it comes to jewelry and can’t have cheap earrings in and I haven’t had a problem with the piercings/earrings I’ve gotten from here. Seven makes sure you’re comfortable, explains every step of the process, will move the piercing placement as many times as you want and is very extremely nice. Couldn’t recommend this place more

I’m not usually someone who leaves reviews, but I felt like I had to after my experience here today. FaraTa is seriously the most amazing person !! Came in to get my eyebrow pierced and the jewelry in my industrial swapped out. I was able to fill out the release forms before I came which was super awesome and we were able to get started right away when I came in. FaraTa was so great at explaining literally everything that could ever need to be covered while also being super kind and hilarious. After we left and got home my partner tried switching his rook out and we weren’t able to get it back in. After calling in FaraTa, welcomed us back in and did a jewelry change for him. Such a great experience, thank you again for being so accommodating. Definitely my new go to piercing place!

Was definitely excited to get work done in Portland, I got Friday the 13th flash tattoo. My artist killed it they did amazing. Sticker quality tattoo. The shop is in a good location and has plenty of parking. The owners are great and everyone at the shop is amazing. The only “meh” thing I could think of is the shop not having a ATM in the building so you have to walk down to a bank and use the walk up ATM. Definitely love the shop and the work I had done.

All the staff was super friendly and very professional. My piercer Seven was awesome explaining everything in detail and walking me through each step. Breathing techniques to relax. I have had many piercings but was still nervous about the septum, but it was all worth it. I love my piercing!!!

I had such a great experience getting a second ear piercing here. The staff was friendly and Andru walked me through his process beforehand, as well as giving thorough aftercare instructions. I barely felt the piercing, and I was only just very slightly sore afterwards. Highly recommended!

I went here for the first time for a rook piercing. Calling ahead was a good idea for a piercing because they do those only on a walk-in basis. The person who answered the phone was friendly and was helpful in figuring the best time to come in so I wouldnt be waiting awhile. Lots of cool and beautiful jewelry to look at if you have wait though. I ended up buying a pair of wooden gauges that I crazy love.The piercer was incredibly knowledgable and personable. Everything was presented in a clean and sterile way, and they gave me detailed aftercare instructions. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a piercing, but I feel especially it would be a supportive and positive experience for someone getting their first piercing. I plan to go back for sure.

Ok. Ok. Ok. You have to know that these are the BEST circle of humans you could go to for your ritualistic piercing. They were so present with me. I had my nose pierced by Seven, with locally made jewelry by another artist in their shop, Jesse Enz, has created the Thunder Rose line of fine jewelry, and I am in LOVE. I purchased a rose gold crescent moon for this Goddess. I have met most of the Coven now, and they are incredible humans. More reviews to unfold as we co-create on this artistic journey. I also have to say, when I accidentally popped off the moon (it’s a pin that fits into a hollow titanium post), Andru and Jade went above and beyond to get me in ASAP (can’t have a piercing go rogue!!!). They had me come in right away and generously accommodated me. My daughter is getting pierced there this Saturday, and I am lookin forward to more artistic endeavors. 🩷🌕😊 Do not hesitate. I went here to get my ears pierced for my Bday and it was honestly such a positive experience. They are so thorough and clean and thoughtful with piercings I was completely impressed. The quality of jewelry choices were incredible and when I couldnt find my card they were patient with my panicky self and were so understanding. I am in process of scheduling a tattoo at this parlor as well because the folks here have only been amazing. 10/10 highly recommend this place!

This review is a year overdue, but Seven is AMAZING! I got my first piercings ever here, and Sevens bedside manner, gentleness, and calm aura were exactly what I needed to erase any nervousness and anxiety about the process. He explained what he was doing every step of the way, including what they do to sterilize and clean the equipment. His voice is wonderfully calming, too! The piercings didnt hurt at all, and now a year later Ive stretched them to a size 8 with no complications or problems. I highly recommend!

Seven pierced my nose today, and I have to say, they did an amazing job! They talked me through the whole process and detailed me about the cleaning procedures done in the piercing room and answered all of my questions. The actual piercing lasted two seconds and barely hurt at all! The prices were reasonable for good quality jewelry and for the great customer service that came with it all! Thank you, will definitely be returning!

My 9 year old and I got piercings with Andru who was very patient and professional with my kiddo as well as fluid and efficient with the whole piercing process. The shop is very clean and the vibe super chill. Many months later, unrelated to the initial piercing, my kiddos ears developed an infection and the skin started to close over the piercing studs that we had put back in after attempting to try some other (likely, too cheap) earrings. We went back to Ritual Arts and this time saw Fara Ta. My child was so scared, and Fara Ta was beyond respectful and patient with them. Due to fear, and clients after us lining up, we had to come back the next day and try again. Fara Ta was, again, so patient, their communication always respectful and kind, they stayed way past closing to take time to help my child get through what was a pretty scary thing to a sensitive 9 year old. I cant say enough wonderful things about this incredible group of humans. I am ever so grateful for them!

SEVEN BILLION STARS for Seven. He had done a septum piercing for a friend of mine a few years ago, and I was so impressed with his bedside manner/professionalism/skill that I vowed to come to see them if I ever decided to get another piercing. I came in a few days ago to have my VCH re-pierced; itd been a few years since it was taken out and I didnt think it was still open. Seven thoroughly explained everything that was going to happen and politely asked me to get undressed from the waist down. He chatted with me while he worked, and let me know where he was going to touch me before he touched me, something I really appreciated with this kind of piercing. He was able to get suitable jewelry through the existing hole with a taper and was as gentle as he could be about it. The shop is also so clean & bright, and everyone else I spoke to there was friendly and kind. Thank you so much, Seven! I have to say Im a bit disappointed in this place. I bought two pieces of gold jewelry from here and had them installed. I was super happy with my service at the time of sale. Two days later one of the pieces fell out and couldnt be found. The second piece broke and fell out, luckily I was able to find it so I could bring it in. I have never had a piece of jewelry break on me before and definitely didnt expect jewelry that I had spent good money on to break. When I brought it in (albeit, a year after purchase), they repaired the piece and then offered to install it. They didnt offer any good explanation or compensation for the broken jewelry or for the piece that had fallen out. Instead they told me that jewelry just breaks after a year and that you cant guarantee every piece of jewelry to withstand and charged me $20 for reinstalling the broken jewelry after making it seem like an inconvenience for not having an appointment. I understand the installation is a service and I didnt have any expectations for replacing the jewelry, but I admit I left feeling disappointed that there was no accountability or good faith taken for the broken jewelry and the loss of jewelry they installed. Again, Ive never had a piece of jewelry fall out or one break so I wonder about the actual quality of jewelry being sold. Will not be coming back here!

We went to spend the weekend in Portland and my daughter wanted to get her ears pierced. I did several days worth of research on piercing professionals in the area. There were many reasons I decided to go with Seven at Ritual Arts. Beyond their extensive experience and credentials, the fact that they are a reiki master led me to believe that theyd be just right for my daughter who does not do well at all with pain. Seven has a beautifully calm demeanor. They explained the process in a thorough, yet concise and easy to understand way. One of the most poignant things is that they gave my daughter control of the when. They explained that there would be no surprises or tricks that would catch her off guard. She would tell them when she was ready for them to do the actual piercing part so she would know exactly when it was coming. The whole experience went smoothly from the online booking to the time we walked out the door. Seven has found just the right balance between consummate professionalism and a reassuring bedside manor. Theyve gone above and beyond to ensure the shop and everything in it is immaculately clean and sanitized. They only let clients in the door after having done so between each appointment. Well be going back to them for all of our piercings and will recommend them highly to everyone we know. Thank you for making my daughters experience so positive, easy, and memorable. Were both so thrilled with every step and the results!

I’m about to go back for my next tattoo here. Aubin is very talented and so kind, and helped calm my nerves/be patient as this was my first tattoo. I plan to continue to come to Ritual Arts for future tattoos, it’s very cute and a quaint shop.

Fara was so incredibly consent driven and patient with our pre-teen today for their ear piercing! They took the time to walk through the procedure and showed so much respect even doing a simple earlobe piercing! There was one point they took the time to compare the fear of getting a shot to getting pierced. Both are scary and hurt a little but theres something powerful and intentional in choosing to get your ears pierced that makes it less intimidating. It was such a lovely thing to say and put our kid at ease. If youre looking for somewhere affirming, gentle, and professional for your kids ear piercing, this is the place to go!

There is a richness and a belovedness to the space itself, and the staff are all kind, professional, and present.The jewelry selection is awesome - Ive come here just to shop as well. They carry options from artisan designers, high quality metals, gorgeous stones, and a variety of options for the initial piercing or the upgrade. I went with a spendy gold hoop, but the entry level surgical steel barbell is very reasonably priced (as is the piercing itself) allowing for accessibility.Seven was gentle and highly skilled at walking through the process of re-piercing my septum. They first double-checked that the hole had truly closed (an oddity), then explained each step and asked consent consistently and kindly. I was a little nervous, as the professional who initially pierced my septum had to wrestle to get the jewelry in (this has happened with other piercings as well), but with Seven the piercing was over and the hoop installed in a couple of deep breaths. No wrestling required.They detailed the aftercare carefully, and sent me home with the cutest little sea salt packet. Its the little things too, ya know?Ive been curious about getting another piercing, and Seven took the time to detail all the considerations and answer my myriad of questions, bringing up all sorts of wisdom and knowledge that made me feel confident in knowing what I was getting into. Should I decide to go forward with that piercing I will definitely return to Seven! Ive been getting pierced for over thirty years now, from mall piercing pagodas & DIY ol safety pin at home (not recommended!) when I was a kid, to a range of professional piercing studios across the country in my adult years . . . and this was the best experience Ive had to date. I received a tattoo from Jason Stewart at ritual arts. Not only was I pleasantly surprised by the polite conversation and the beautiful artwork (my tattoo is beautiful) but also the atmosphere and the kind humans who exist in that space make it feel like home even just for a few hours. I was checked in by three different staff and asked if I needed water by two. Folks were warm and lovely to be around. I will be going back. They’re the kind of folks you feel good giving your money to.

I just went in and got my double helix pierced and I would 100% recommend this shop for anyone looking to get any sort of piercing done.Walking in I was very nervous seeing as how I have not had any sort of piercing in 6 years, I was greeted with a kind face and someone willing to help calm my nerves. Seven walked me through the entire process in a very professional manner and was so helpful by talking me through aftercare and every step he was taking. I felt incredibly comfortable. I also admired the steps and precaution this shop is taking to stop the spread of Covid-19.They definitely went above and beyond my expectations and I WILL be visiting again next time I want a piercing or tattoo!

I cant count on one the hand the number of times Ive been to Ritual Arts for piercings. Seven goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable with both the piercing and safety protocol in the shop. Ive been to plenty of other piercing shops, but I keep coming back to Ritual Arts, every time now. None of my piercings from Seven have ever been infected and they use really high quality jewelry for all of their body modifications. Seven is the most professional and experienced piercer Ive ever encountered. This spot is clean and serene. Seven made a point to explain every step, describe what he was doing as he was doing it and even helped guide deep breathing exercises during the piercing. I felt 100% calm and confident. My mom and I are from Washington and were in Portland for an appointment. We decided that we wanted to do something spur-of-the-moment and thought a piercing would be fun. I looked up places and Ritual Arts has great ratings.. And rightfully so! Our experience from the moment we walked through the door was second to none. The person at the front desk was super helpful and welcoming. Seven, the piercer, was not only gorgeous but friendly and EVERYONE was extremely informative. We left with hugs all around! Friendly and informative staff. Polite and thorough with the process. My daughter had her ears pierced there and felt very comfortable. The attention to an aseptic environment was excellent. The choice of jewelry was great and had the better type of metal posts for new piercings.

This was my first cartilage piercing and as nervous as I was the staff helped make it a great experience. I got a triple helix, and all in all it took about 10-15 min with all the prep and explanations. I felt incredibly comfortable in the store, (which is super nice cuz one cant always assume that as a Trans woman) and the staff were friendly and helped explain everything as they went along with it. The piercer (Seven) explained all the sanitation procedures the shop goes through to help illustrate how clean it was, which is always a comfort. 5/5 stars, will come here for any piercings I will get in the future!

Just got my first piercing here, super friendly, and cute staff! they made me feel very comfortable for getting my nose done for the first time, i was really scared of getting an infection but they showed me they go above & beyond the requirements to insure safety & comfort while getting your piercing. highly recommend if you want to get your piercings here!

Came for a walk-in and had to a wait for a little (which was totally okay and I expected) the staff was all so kind and amazing and made me feel very comfortable. Reese is an amazing tattoo artist and makes the experience really amazing. The whole vibe of the place is very accepting and they have some great literature to read while you’re waiting too! Love this place! My girlfriend has always come here to have her piercings removed and put back in any time shes had to have a medical procedure done. High Priestess Tattoo from Eugene, OR recommended this place to us. The piercing room is extremely clean and Seven is amazing at what he does. They charge a very small fee to take the piercings out (like $5 or $10 I cant remember) but when you return its free. The staff is amazing and theyre the most down to earth people. My plan is to talk to a tattoo artist in the future and have more work done for me.

I was really excited to go pick out some new jewelry at a queer owned shop. I checked Ritual Arts website for their hours and any COVID related policies I should keep in mind while shopping and didnt find much so I hopped on the bus just to get off and see a sign that says appointment required in bold on the door. This is not mentioned on the website, for jewelry purchases at least. Ill be happy to spend my money elsewhere.

I made an appointment for my 7 year old to get her ears pierced. Andru did a great job explaining everything to both of us. The jewelry selection is beautiful. It was a great experience for both of us.

Andru is a top tier piercer. Not only is his wall filled with certificates, but I could tell he takes pride in doing good work. Most of the time getting ready for my nose piercings was getting the placement JUUUUUST right.It’s not even been a week and my nose isn’t sensitive or irritated, even though I’ve had to get multiple nasal swabs this week.Also, if you’re queer like I am, you’ll feel right at home in the shop.

I highly recommend this place for ink. Im autistic and I totally forgot my headphones for my session, so the front desk person brought over a little laptop and played Elton for me. It was really some of the best customer service Ive had in a tattoo shop, and I will never forget that moment. It was truly amazing. Ive only seen one artist, Chaz, and they did a great job with my tattoos, I loved all the attention to detail and their gentle touch. Went in to get an earlobe re-pierced that closed up years ago and Seven was amazing! He was so informative on their sterilization process and changed his gloves after every single step. I felt so comfortable and informed and will definitely go back to get my second’s!

The person at the desk was nice but they wouldn’t let me physically touch or hold any jewelry in the shop. I asked if I could handle and see some jewelry that was just sitting out and not sterilized but they wouldn’t help me. I wasn’t offered gloves ever as your response indicates, and I asked if I could even hold non sterile jewelry with gloves, it was a flat no. Not even a conversation just “this is our policy.” No one offered to come out and speak with me either. They actually only would speak through the reception employee that played telephone between me and a piercer who clearly had no interest in helping me from the back.I understand health and safety standards and laws, I work with the public as well, but nothing I asked would have violated any health or safety rules/laws. I have a lot of piercings, plan on more, and buy a considerable dollar amount in jewelry. I refuse to buy online and choose to spend my money locally so when I went to two other piercers they gladly opened sterilized packages and let me handle jewelry as they mentioned they could just sterilize with the next batch. I spent $200 on jewelry that week at two different piercers where I made sure to explain the lack of service received at your location so they would know how their local partners were treating people that they recommend to go there.I was just looking for someone to provide better service with policies geared towards helping me buy the right purchase as these are sensitive purchases that are not returnable.

I love it here! Everyone is so peaceful and positive... My artist Chaz was extraordinarily patient with me while I nitpicked the last details of my design (and I really needed that). The vibe is wonderful - they care about their energy. I absolutely recommend Chaz for tattooing and Im definitely going back to see Seven for my next piercing. Wonderful.

Chaz Vitale put an amazing chest piece on me, and I felt great about it from start to finish. Hes a phenomenal artist, and he has big paintings on site, so I knew I would like his color and shading. He was so thoughtful and attentive about the design and placement, and about the experience I was having during the tattoo. I felt so cared for and had exactly the experience I was hoping for, only better. Really easy and clear communication, great with my questions, accommodated my family who came to hold my hand and witness. I have other big pieces, and this is the one I feel great about. Jesse is a creative genius. He was able to cover up a tattoo that I had done 12 years ago in just one session. I felt completely comfortable and at home instantly. Jesse was able to take a vision that I had in my head and make it better than I could have ever imagined. I actually teared up when I saw the rough sketch. Everyone is kind, courteous and accepting that works there. You can tell that they all have a real purpose and passion for the work that they are doing.I would not recommend any other tattoo or piercing studio! Just got my nose pierced by Danny. I went to Ritual Arts because of the reviews and I understand why they are so highly rated! So sterile, so kind, very knowledgeable! Staff are really friendly and make you feel comfortable.

Seven goes the extra mile with cleanliness and explaining every step. He pierced my daughters nostril and she is very happy with it. We went back and he helped me with a former piercing which I wanted to empower within myself and update. He was very understanding and by the way always supplies you with aftercare instructions and your own packet of seasalt! The vibe in the place is awesome and the tattoos always look so good Im considering one.Edit: Seven was a lot presumptuous by placing a huge gauge nipple post without asking me plus it was extra wide to supposedly compensate for swelling. He basically snickered sarcastically and said when I “get tired of” the large pin to come back. I felt so frustrated with this I never went back and lived with these ugly pins in my nips for two plus years. Watch out for this lack of consensual procedures.

I never write reviews, but AUBIN CARLSON has the best line/dot work in Portland. I came in today (6/12/19) requesting an entirely different tattoo than what we discussed. Aubin was very professional, understanding, and gave me an INSANELY good tattoo!

Brought my teen in after she decided to pierce her own navel (yes, she did!). They were so helpful and discussed issues with her, removed it, and sent us on our way. She had not done a true navel piercing but more of a surface piercing, per the staff. It was becoming infected and working itself out.Safest thing to do was remove. They kindly did this under sterile conditions and gave good care info. The no charge for visit at the end was unexpected and very kind, especially in that things are very tight for us right now. They did not know this though.I dont have any piercings but would for sure go here should I need or my kids do in the future!

I got my nipples pierced here and as much as getting your nipples pierced sucks, it was a great experience. She went at my pace when I was ready and gave me the time I needed in between each nipple. Let me sit there for a few.minutes afterwards and gave me great instructions for care. A month and a half in and my nipples are healing fantastically! No discharge at all, no pain, Ive even been able to change out the jewelry!! I *highly* reccomend going here for tattoos or piercings. ^_^

Everyone who works at Ritual is very kind. Jesse did my tattoos and he is super talented! They tell you when the inks expire and go through what they do to keep everything clean, offer snacks if your blood sugar is low, and make sure you understand the after care process.

Just went in for a consultation today, will update with the tattoo once I get it. My girlfriend and I are getting matching tattoos with Louis. Hes a really fun, creative and chill guy, and was super excited for this project. The shop was super clean and homey feeling, and my girlfriend and I had a good time looking around the shop.
