My fiance and I are tattoo first-timers, and Devon went above and beyond, explaining the process before our appointment, creating a design based on pictures we provided, and making us feel comfortable. The time flew by chatting with Devon on numerous interesting topics and we both were 100% satisfied with the look of our designs. We cant wait to get more ink and would only choose Devon for the job! Devon was AMAZING!!!!!!! I was nervous (yet excited) about getting my first tattoo and Devon did an incredible job walking me through the process and creating a welcoming and friendly environment in which I felt comfortable asking all my questions (regardless of how silly they may have been). Also, Im OBSESSED with the end result. Devon took my pika-huckleberry-avalanche lily vision and turned it into a beautiful tattoo that I cant stop admiring. Ive gotten so many compliments on the tattoos line work and detail and I just love it so so so much.

I have had six tattoos done here, including a sleeve (which is still in progress). The energy here is perfect. Everyone is so kind, plus its obvious they care about one another and enjoy working together. Being in a chair here heals my soul. If youre thinking about getting a tattoo, this is absolutely the place to do it.

I got my first ever tattoo at Sellwood Tattoo Parlor and worked with Devon. Through out the entire experience Devon was absolutely outstanding and very professional.I had a custom piece that I wanted done and she did an incredible job.I knew what elements I wanted but was not sure about the design or layout.During my consultation, I immediately felt comfortable and confident in her. She was very easy to talk to and has a great energy.The design she worked up was perfect and I am very very happy with the finished product.Devon has a great attention to detail and is very talented at her craft.Also shout out to Cody who I didn’t work with but I enjoyed talking to as I was getting tattooed.These guys at Sellwood Tattoo Parlor are great and I highly recommend going there!

Ive been going to both Cody and Reed since they were at Jaded Soul on division and Ive always thought they were the BEST artists there. Ive since followed them as they transitioned into the Sellwood Tattoo shop and I can honestly say theyve only gotten better! The shop itself is very welcoming and has such a good vibe to it, everyone there is always laughing with one another. They always make sure the customers feel as welcome and comfortable as they possibly can. I couldn’t imagine goin anywhere else!

Devon is such a sprite! I love her passion around doing first tattoos and educating those getting them. She did my daughters first, my 3rd my sons 2 & 3rd (so far).The team at the shop all bring great energy and create an environment you want to come back to.

Brendo is absolutely my go to artist. Communication with him is always super easy and quick, he’s ridiculously talented, and he’s just one of my favorite people. As a woman, getting an under-bust tattoo can be a bit unnerving, but Brendo went out of his way to ensure I was safe and comfortable. Not to mention, Devon and Reed are some of the most genuine and down to earth folks to chat with and pass the time while getting work done there. Highly recommend this place!

I worked with Devon. She was very professional & sweet. Had nice time talking to her while being tattooed. She did a great job on my tattoo. I’m trying to post pics of tattoo but won’t let me? I want to post picts of her work. I can’t seem to? But Devin did a great job! I’ve had SO many compliments.

My fiancé and I came in for the weekend to get a tattoo here. We walked in with a warm welcome from them and a few other artists. From just chatting via email they were able to put together exactly what we were wanting. We had nice conversations with each of our artists and they gave us a good recommendations for Portland. Thats not even the best part - the best part is the beautiful art they left with us forever. Thank you for the great experience, Adam and Derek! We will recommend you guys to everyone!!

Went in to see Chantel, after looking at tons of artists for the piece I wanted. She is one of the only artists that I saw that had numerous posted examples of the type of art and style I was looking for.After going in, which she was booked out for three months min, I sat down to get lady justice on my side. So far the only artist that I have felt comfortable saying, whatever you want to do go for it. With some minimal input of what I was looking for.All that to say, her art far exceeded what I was hoping for. She is an amazing artist and great person as well. I cant see going anywhere else in the Portland metro area for my art. Simply stunning art and skill. I am looking forward to getting more work from her done.

I can not say enough great things about this shop! I am always a little intimidated walking into a tattoo parlor, based of my previous experiences. I came in to ask some questions and get a little input and they were very friendly and helpful. Emi did my tattoo and made the entire experience exceptional! She is warm and friendly and now I have an amazing tattoo that I get to see everyday but also a fond memory when I got it. This shop is a gem!!!

Chantal was dope dude. She laughed at all my jokes while she gave my best friend her first tattoo. She was extremely patient with the three of us (we are quite loud and annoying) and we took most of the time deciding on the font for the tattoo. All the praise! Great job. Mary loves it. Chantel did an amazing job covering up some small tattoos I had behind my ear. I hadnt set up an appointment and I walked right in. Very courteous, friendly and excellent artwork! I have several tattoos from various artists but my two favorites are the ones I just had done last week by Brendo(n). Brendo was incredibly time efficient, caring, and took the time to draft up exactly what I wanted. My sister, girlfriend and I all went in for an appointment together with different ideas and Brendo had pinpointed our tattoos to match exactly what each of us had in mind. In fact, after he did my first tattoo, I decided to go ahead and get a second design hed drawn that very same day. He was so incredibly professional; it is so evident to me that every tattoo he creates (no matter how small) is something he takes pride in, and appreciates attention to detail. His after care advice has also been phenomenal. It was my sisters first tattoo, and she had a few follow up questions the next day. Brendo responded to us immediately with sound advice. Whether youre seeking a custom first tat, or have had work done in the past, the designs Brendo can do for you will truly exceed all expectations. From now on, I will only get my work done from him at Sellwood tattoo. Thank you Brendo!!! 10/10

Sellwood Tattoo is, 100%, a place you want to get tattooed. Reed is who tattooed me today and is outstanding, but the same could be said for all of the artists. Covid safe, supportive of all humans, and woman owned - whats not to love?

Ive been to a lot of tattoo shops and i will say 100% this is where i will go long term. Had my father in law use Harry here at the shop and he loved the experience. Super professional and detail oriented. Didnt waste time and charge us time to sketch it either. Chantel is extremely nice and helpful. I would recommend this shop for those who want a great service, awesome work, and a legit experience. Only met Harry and Chantel but im sure anyone there is great. Would 100% recommend to any friends or family. Thanks guys see you soon!

This place is amazing! My tattoo artist Emi does amazing work, is receptive to ideas and has great vision. Theyre a great bunch to hang out with and get tattooed by. Id reccomend them to anyone!

Got my annual birthday tattoo here, since I live in the area. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly, and Brendon was efficient, quick, knowledgeable and fun to talk to, and gave me a fair price. I’ll be back.

After not being happy with the finished product. I thought we would work together to fix the situation and instead I was told she would not work with me anymore. Now I am stuck with a tattoo I don’t like and have to find someone else to fix it.

Choosing a tattoo artist can be a difficult process. After several months of reviewing portfolios, I decided that Chantels portfolio spoke to me. I wanted a custom design melding various elements, and from all accounts, custom pieces are Chantels specialty.On October 17th (2017) I sent Chantel an email explaining that I wanted to get a custom piece designed, and would like more info on the process. I never got a response to that email.On January 28th (2018), I sent a follow up email; I received an automated response that included, my response time may take a few days, so I waited, but when I hadnt heard anything after five days, I sent a third email. In this email I advised that I would be in town for a few days in February, and asked to schedule a consultation in person. Again I got the same automated response.On February 9th, I wrote my fourth email which said, Can you PLEASE confirm receipt of this email and let me know why you havent responded to me. Are you selecting not to take me on as a client? Or was it an oversight with my last three emails?Again, I got an automated response, so I know the email went to the right email address, but I never got an actual response.In a last ditch effort, I called the shop on February 26th, and left a message requesting a call back or a response to one of my four emails.It is now March 3rd and I have not gotten any responses from my four emails or my voicemail.I am very disappointed that this shop does not treat customers better.My attempts to reach the shop for scheduling:--10/17/17 email--01/28/18 email (104 days later)--02/02/18 email (5 days later)--02/09/18 email (7 days later)--02/26/18 voicemail (17 days later)

There is no debate Adam Strong is the MVP no one else wanted to take on my chest cover up. He did and its a masterpiece in the making. He has a easy hand, a rotary gun and a CHILL attitude. What else is there to ask for.
