I absolutely recommend going to RC in the Chesterfield mall. I wanted to get a memorial tattoo for my grandfather and landed on Stephen Horsley as my artist, and Im so glad I did. Stephen is very nice and easy to talk to, not heavy handed, and great at bringing your ideas to life. My buck looked so good it convinced my husband into getting his first tattoo done by Stephen! Took my 8 year old in today to have her ears pierced for her birthday. Blue and Mikey did amazing. She was a little nervous, but they made her feel very comfortable. I have had many piercings over the years, and they were the most knowledgeable, and through. They are a little more expensive than most places but its worth it.

Bro!We (a motley crew of 8, looking for 13 piercings) walked into this shop at the mall on a lazy Sunday afternoon a little unsure if:A) they could handle what we had to offer.Or:B) we could handle what they had to offer.We were trying to fill our time while waiting on the Megadeth/Mudvayne concert (that we found out was cancelled, mere hours before the gates open, but thats a whole other story) and just wanted to see what all we could get pierced.We walked in and were surrounded by (literal) children who were smiling and excited to get their ears pierced and just glowing on cloud nine when they came out with their new bling saying stuff like I still didnt feel anything and That didnt hurt at all!!

HUGE Thank You to Lane and Linzi! If youre anxious about anything, theyll put you right at ease. My eyebrow piercing was professionally quick, simple, and they made it look great! I was definitely nervous but the vibes from the shop and the great employees made me bite the bullet- and it was worth it! Also, super affordable compared to other places. Again, THANK YOU!

Maisie did such a fantastic job piercing our daughters ears over the weekend! She was personable, helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Mikey was also a big help but we couldnt recommend RCT more for this experience. They go above and beyond for the little ones!

I decided to get my very first tattoo for a significant birthday. AJ was amazing he took the inspiration images I had and make something even better. Then he used the colors of my pet birds to create my sea turtle. Everyone at the shop was super friendly and the establishment was very clean and welcoming. Absolutely recommend.

The tattoo art is top notch. But its very busy. Mostly fills up with piercing customers. If youre doing a tattoo, plan for 30-60 minutes before the actual tattooing begins.

Ive always gotten tattoos from studios where the vibe was always moody & too cool for school. River city is the exact opposite - the environment is bright and welcoming, and I was taken aback by how kind everyone there was. Both times Ive been this year, my service was prompt, professional, and with personable employees. Definitely the best place for an all around great experience, especially with something as delicate as body art.

Very friendly staff at the front desk and the piercing/tattoo artists are also very welcoming! Had an excellent experience getting a tattoo by Paula, she was so fun to chat with too! I will be back for sure.

I stopped by this past weekend and received the piece I absolutely wanted. AJ is talented, down to earth, and very professional. I wanted the design of a ranunculus in a deep burgundy color. This was my wedding flower so I had very high expectations. AJ not only delivered on the design, but absolutely nailed the color. I will definitely be going to see him again and would recommend him!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience at River City Tattoo! I took my anxious but excited 10 year old to have her ears pierced, and the experience was top notch start to finish. Linzi could not have been better with my girl, talking her through every step and making her feel comfortable and brave. The room was very clean and all of the equipment was properly sterilized and stored. I wouldn’t take my kiddos anywhere else for piercings!!

I got my very first tattoo today. AJ did an excellent job helping me pick out fonts when I just asked for something legible. I would recommend him to all my friends.

I went in today and the whole staff was welcoming and helping me change out my bar for a longer one. Nigel helped me change it out he was fast and make sure I didn’t experience any pain. Will be going back for my floating navel ❤️

If you are a parent debating where to get your child’s ears pierced, I fully recommend River City Tattoo! Maisie and Mikey put all of my daughter’s worries at ease and the process was clean, simple, and painless. We were so impressed will the cleanliness and efficiency of the piercing, and it is obvious that they are experts at what they do. Then a month later, when we had an incident where we lost an earring during camp, the staff at RCT rectified the issue quickly and Nigel was so wonderful with our family as well. Truly a great experience and will use them for any similar needs in the future, plus recommend to anyone else debating where to go!

My piercer Maisie was the best. She was so nice, she was gentle and the piercing looks amazing.it was quick and all I felt was a tiny pinch nothing more. She is definitely going to be my go-to piercer.

We arrived last minute the two guys there help my daughter remover her nose piercing. Their kindness and professionalism was more than anything. We recommend it that place and I will comeback to do it my cover up.

I had my 7 year old daughters ears repierced. She had originally had them done as a baby. Maisie was incredible. She was really sweet and kept my daughter calm and walked her through the whole process. They have a great package for kids ear piercing and take a lot of time with them. Maisie and Blue pierced both ears at the same time which makes it very quick and painless. They gave us everything we needed for aftercare and lots of instructions. And some fun little treats which made the experience even better for my daughter.

My brother and I came in together to get tattoos today and we both had great experiences! The shop is gorgeous inside, the folks at the front desk are organized and helpful, and the shop is kept very clean. Highly recommend!

This was the absolute best place to go to get my daughter’s ears pierced. Kind, careful, thorough- they were perfect from start to finish. My daughter was nervous but really wanted to get them done and after just seconds with Kyah and Brittany, she was relaxed and excited. They piercers were so careful and competent and they did both ears at once. I highly recommend RCT for piercing.

Linzi did an incredible job with our piercings for our group of 4! My 5 year old was also with us, and she was so sweet and interacted with him throughout the whole process. Everything was very clean, her instructions were very thorough, and the process itself was very quick and not painful.

I wanted to wait to write a review, in case I was over-reacting in the moment, but now that enough time has passed I feel it appropriate to leave a review on how I was treated at this establishment by the two women who work the front.On June 29th, I came here for a 4th hole on my lobes. The receptionist (?) at the front told me that would be considered a helix. I was feeling my ear while talking to her and explaining that it felt like the area I wanted was more lobe, not cartilage. She got short with me, and was acting a little annoyed. I wasn’t trying to tell her how to do her job, just asking her to look at my ear. At this point another woman comes over, she’s the one with the long hair who was wearing a long flowy skirt. I wish I had gotten her name. The receptionist says “she’s here for helix, but she’ll tell you different” with an attitude. The woman with the long skirt just looks at me and says “that’s a helix. I’ve been doing this a long time.” Without even bothering to assess or look at my ear or hear what I was saying. Not that it mattered whether it was a lobe piercing or a helix, but listen to your customer, take the time to assess and address their concerns.Then while I was waiting for the piercer to call me, these two same women saw me typing on my phone and started laughing and said “she’s writing a review, quick apologize!” Just totally unprofessional and I will not be returning.

The staff are knowledgable and friendly. I took my teen here to get their ears pierced. The staff member placed his piercings in one try and even asked if we were happy with the symmetry. The prices for peircings with upgraded titanium metal was very affordable. I love the cleanliness and tattoo picture layout of the establishment. I would consider River City a number one pick for piercings.

Approaching week 3 post piercing and both, helix & lobe, are healing nicely. Surprisingly painless process, nothing compared to the piercing gun. A few things I wish I knew before:1. Rest: Take 5 minutes and sit post piercing. It is a wound, a pretty wound, but your body can react and mine did. I made it to my car before I got really woozy. Had to sit and drink some water and wait for the woozy to leave. Maybe bring a friend with you if you can. It’s only 5 minutes, sit and relax immediately after.2. Pain: My helix really hurt day 7-9. Up at night hurt! Pain reliever and extra saline cleanings on those days helped A-LOT! I think it’s impossible to sleep on it, although every article I read and video I watched said ‘don’t sleep on it. Don’t worry you can’t! That thing is very angry until it’s not. My week three has been very peaceful.3. Long time: You will wear the helix earring for up to 12 months before replacing. I didn’t know that lol! I would have selected something entirely differently.3. Placement: side facing, front facing.I had a 2nd lobe piercing I never liked. It was too low so I rarely wore anything in there. I wanted it fixed. The height was fixed, pierced directly above the old one, but I’ve noticed now that it’s healing , it needed to also be forward facing. That old piercing faced more side than front and now the correction does too.This was not the piercers fault nor mine, however a little more investigation and collaboration might have fixed that too.4. Pricing:There are 3 charges for each piercing: the earring post, earring prong and the piercing cost. There was no pricing on the piercing earring selection, but there are pricing differences. Knowing that would have been helpful, so ask!Clean, Comfortable, Willing to answer the questions you know to ask! Hopefully this will help with the questions, like me, you didn’t know to ask.Maisie was great and so was everyone I talked with.

I took my daughter to get her septum pierced and ended up getting mine done too as well :) Its been awhile since Ive been in a shop so I was nervous for her initially lol but the front desk did a great job keeping us up to date and informed.

Have had piercings here. Shawn is great. My issue is I bought a post for my ear to replace the one that was too big. They gave me a post that is still too big. They won’t let me size down after I literally just bought it. Saying I have to spend $30 (which is ridiculous for a post) and get a new one.EDIT: RCT GM contacted me and put in the replacement post, gave me the old post, and refunded me. Greatly appreciated and respected.

My daughter had a wonderful experience! Her piercers Linzi and Mikey were friendly and professional. We lost the back to the earring a few days later and the store was very nice to replace it with another high grade titanium back. Thank you RCT!

I had tooth gems done by Ashleigh this past weekend, and it was a great experience. The front desk team is lovely, and Ashleigh is a total pro. Highly recommended for any of the services they offer.

An amazing first experience for my daughter. She got her ears pierced by Maise and Mikey and they did a fantastic job. My daughter was very comfortable with both piercers. Maise talked her through every step. RCT is very welcoming and super clean.

Everyone at RCT was very friendly and knowledgable! Blue was our piercer and she did a great job keeping my 12 yo daughter calm. The facility was clean and the materials used were all prepackaged and opened in front of us! I would highly recommend RCT!

Linzi (I think that’s how you spell its) was so nice and did an amazing job. I went back to RCT because I got my septum pierced there 4 years ago and they never disappoint, it was a quick and easy process and I’m happy with my piercing.

We came to do a nose piercing here for my little sister and we kept reminding the piercer that the stud would have to be gold due to her being highly allergic to plenty of different metals or materials used, she assured us it was gold which we of course trusted due to the stud well the attachment to the stud was titanium or some kind of material that was not gold and well my sisters piercing was highly infected from the inside and outside that we had to take her to a hospital to get the piercing removed due to it being stuck, we have been cleaning it with salt water, with other recommended products, when we took it out we saw that it was not gold at all and we re highly upset due to the severity of her piercing. if you re allergic to gold do not come here they will not provide you with it.

5/5 star experience!! AJ is super cool and an amazingly talented artist with great vision and design skills!! He made our memorial tattoo for our sister come to life in ways we would have never been able to imagine on our own. His attention to detail and cleanliness was immaculate. We had a full day session and the whole shop staff was amazing and friendly. We had the best time laughing and joking with everyone and cannot wait to go back. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!

Mikey is always a pleasure when I go to the RC Chesterfield location. Very thorough, as gentle as one can be when piercing/changing jewelry. Whenever I need my jewelry changed, I know exactly where to go!

Got there about 12:10 pm and was put on the wait list for a smaller tattoo after waiting over 3 hours, I was told they wouldn’t be able to take me today because they close at 6. PLEASE BEWARE THAT IF YOU DO NOT SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT and want to get a piercing or tattoo as a spur of the moment thing you won’t get in and will be wasting away in their waiting room continuously waiting and waiting only to be told after waiting for hours you just wasted your time! If they would have told me up front that it would be unlikely to get a tattoo today I would have been fine with that but if they made me falsely believe I could be fit in which led to me wasting my time sitting there for no reason. JUST SO YOU KNOW YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!!!

I had 4 sessions with Paula and she did an amazing job! She was very easy to work with, answered all of my questions and got back to me fairly quick while starting the process of getting a tattoo. I also came in with my own tribal design and it had a lot of detail and in it there were some areas of emptiness and she asked if she could fill it in, I said yes and she came up with a design to fill the empty areas and it looks as if it was meant to be apart of the design. She knocked it out of the park in every session. If you’re going in for a tattoo I highly recommend scheduling with Paula!

My nose piercer was Mikey. I was apprehensive because of the pain that I expected. It was a first for me. Mikey was reassuring and professional. She gave me after care instructions as well. The pain only lasted about a second, and is healing very well. Thank you Mikey.

My friends and I got tattoos from Stephen Horsley (@inkedmind92) and we could not have had a better experience. He was extremely friendly and did amazing work on each of our tattoos. Highly recommend and will definitely be back to get another piece done by Stephen.

I have gone here for almost all of my piercings and absolutely love them. very inviting energy from everyone. all the love to mikey for taking out my dermal today. they made it super quick and easy. i will forever and always go to river city for my piercings!!

This was an absolute disaster and the people working there were absolutely rude. We can in to get a very small wrist tattoo and they took my phone and said it will take 1 hour be fore it’s my turn, after one hour I have not received a call or text but we walked in and they took another girl with a complete back tattoo before me. The receptionist with an attitude simply said she got here before you. Mind you I was on a text/call list and have not received anything after an hour and those people just walked in unacceptable and completely disrespectful. I will be contacting the owner of this disaster.

The piercer was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and friendly. She made sure everything was clean and I felt good getting my piercing done with her. However, the wait time was double what we were originally told. Even after walking the mall and getting lunch for the hour wait we were originally told, we waited nearly another hour in the shop on a Monday afternoon. I think it would be beneficial to have appointment times so the wait wouldn’t be as long for those that would like to make an appointment. Aside from the wait time, my experience was pretty good.

Absolutely the most genuine tattoo artist I’ve ever been tattooed by, I was extremely afraid to get tattooed again until I met him. He has made me getting tattooed an amazing experience and he truly makes sure you’re ok the entire time. Not one bad thing to say. Josh is amazing

Such an amazing experience! Navel piercing by Kelly who was so comforting and precise. Everyone is different but my piercing was quick (not in a rushed way) and did not hurt following the procedure. I will definitely be returning for future piercings.

A great experience while getting my first tattoo.

I went in to get a tatoo in remembrance of my son. I was pleasantly greeted right away. Then AJ asked me what I wanted and after showing him a drawing gave me the perfect tatoo. I highly recommend this place and AJ.

I found River City Tattoo a couple of years ago and knew I wanted to get work through them, just who I was not sure. Well, after seeing Paulas work I knew she would do a great job. I reached out to her and set up an appointment for my tattoo, and we did it in 2 sessions. She not only did a phenomenal job, but she is made the process so fun! Absolutely will be going back to Paula for my next tattoo.

Ive had a lot of issues with this location lately. My most recent issue is I went in to size down my industrial after healing to get it to fit snugly to my ear. I purchased the size recommended by the piercer on duty. After purchasing, I tried it, and the size was incorrect. I didnt leave the building, and they wouldnt return it even though it was bought per their recommendation. The store has really seemed to have fallen off as of late. Id avoid this location, and head to the downtown store.

My piercer Micky was AMAZING. She was VERY Patient with four of us 2 not knowing exactly where we wanted the piercing to be. Reception desk could use some work. Once back great service.

Nigel was a great piercer but I had to wait almost an hour after my appointment time making me late for my next appointment.

Excellent service! Friendly environment and very welcoming. Had a great tattoo artist, Stephen, and was extremely pleased with the result. Love that there is an option to pay cash or card, plus there’s a bathroom in the parlor! Can’t recommend this place enough!!

Very happy with everything at this location. They were able to fit me in as a walk in and very quality tattoo. Quiet gun and very easy on the skin. Much quicker than I expected. Have 12 tattoos and this was one of the smoothest experiences. Highly recommend. All very nice and professional as well.

I added 2 piercings to my ear, I was pleased that they used needles. I followed recommendations and have had no issues. Great customer service, I cant remember my piecers name ...sorry, but she told me she used to be social worker 😄. She was awesome!

I am getting a custom sleeve by Paula. I have been wanting to get this for years and was determined to find someone who would put quality artwork on me. I did a lot of research to find the right artist and as soon as I saw her work, I was sure she was the right artist for me. She was very responsive and friendly when I reached out about what I wanted. I threw a bunch of random elements at her that I wanted in my sleeve and from that she created a true piece of art. We are now part way through and she has surpassed what I even thought she was going to do. She absolutly got every element of my vision and nailed it perfectly. It really is a piece of artwork already and we arent even done. I will post edits and photos when it is finished but so far all I can say is Paula is by far the best artist I have ever worked with. She is also incredibly friendly, accommodating, creative and easy to work with. The shop is clean and the rest of the staff are also friendly. It is a nice environment.

Stephen Horsley tattooed me and did an excellent job and would recommend him to to everyone. Also recieved a piercing from Kelly, who also did an excellent job.

Got my helix pierced twice by them at the Richmond Tattoo Convention two weeks prior. Came back to replace two of my four helix earrings to match the ones I got at the convention. Loved the service!

My son and I both got piercings by Anji! We had THE VERY BEST experience with her! She was incredibly knowledgeable and is a true master at her skill! She made it nearly painless and super easy! Mikey was amazing, I came back to get retainers taken out and my old jewelry put back in. I was nervous my rook had closed up but she was able to get everything swapped back out with little effort and no pain. Would highly recommend she was professional and extremely friendly.

I was going to go to the location downtown for a piercing l, but they were appointment only, so we drove to the Chesterfield location. When we arrived I was told I would expect to wait about 2hrs. Decided to wait, I am glad we did, Laura, the piercer was wonderful. I was getting my septum pierced and she asked if I had had it done before. I had it done twice previously, but the most recent time was at another shop in Richmond. They had pierced it too low and crooked. Laura had wonderful bedside manner. She explained what she was doing and why she was doing it. She had the tone of voice that would calm and assure someone who was nervous (I still was even having had it done before). She was clear about after care. I know they were busy that day, but she did not make me feel like she was trying to rush through at all. Thanks again Laura!

We arrived around noon and set up our placement. they told us it would be a two hour wait and we were fine with that. we left and returned and hour and 45 minutes later. They told us someone was still booked in front of us, they didnt remember us, and they wouldnt be able to do it. They wasted most of our day waiting around for this and they ruined my wives mothers day gift she was really looking foward to not to mention it was suppose to be her first tattoo. Will not be returning to this horrible and uncaring place.

My son got a piercing. Shawn was the Best. The only complaint was that I had an appointment and still had to wait an hour after appointment time because they were super busy but only had one piercer.

100% would recommend. I had such an incredible experience. Clean, professional, friendly, amazing place to get services. The staff were incredibly friendly and absolutely went above and beyond to make my visit extremely enjoyable. Please come to this location for services and please tip well, these are very deserving employees. I plan to make several visits back for services. Fantastic experience, staff! Thank you so much! I cant say enough good things about our experience at River City Tattoo. Everyone was professional, knowledgeable and extremely nice. Went in on a Monday morning and came out with a pierced septum in under an hour. It didnt even hurt!

Den Den did my helix/cartilage piercing and I’m like literally in love! I’ll definitely be back! He was so kind and funny and very talented piercer! I was expecting a lot more pain but he literally inserted the jewelry so effortlessly and was so gently throughout the process.He marked up my ear to make sure I had options on where to put the piercing and I was so thankful he did! The placement is perfect and I am really satisfied! Will definitely be recommending him to my friends and family!I was also throughly impressed with the gentleman who helped me choose my jewelry. Great experience! I went in for a quick consult with Joshua and explained what I wanted and the placement. I was pretty specific on the sizing and he did an excellent job drawing up something that matched the vision I had in mind. It was my first tattoo and the overall experience was so laid back. Josh always takes amazing care of my sister and myself when we want new tattoos. We’ve both been tattooed by multiple artists but Josh has been our consistent tattoo artist for the past 5 months. He’s a great artist, not heavy handed and my tattoos always come out super clean. His shop is always immaculate. The vibes are top notch.

I took my daughter for a piercing. The experience was pretty good. We had to wait bc it was the weekend but not a big deal. The piercer was sarcastic but thats normal- never met a body artist that wasnt. They did a good job making my daughter comfortable. Prices a little higher than other places but the location is convenient and reviews were good, so worth the extra amount.

I emailed Joshua for a tattoo design and he got back to me very quickly to discuss more about the idea which I appreciated so much. He gave great suggestions about the tattoo sizing and incorporated all of the pieces I wanted very well. During the session he was very kind and checked on how I felt throughout the whole process. The tattoo came out beautifully detailed and I’m so happy with his work!!

I know joke have gotten tattoos from this location over the course of four years. I got matched up with a certain artist who I won’t mention . met him in person scheduled a date and was told he couldn’t make it. That’s fine but after days and well over a week of trying to track this guy down, I’ve been nothing but left on read after every message I sent him.For a customer that has done nothing but speak highly of this location and have sent many of my close friends to get inked up, this is terrible. I have spent well into the thousands at this location.I have asked him if I should get matched up with someone else if need be but I was told we could work something out.I gave multiple days that I was available, time frames, etc but nothing.This guy has been tattooing for well over decades, from what I was told. the unprofessionalism is extremely bizarre. Due to such a well respected establishment. I’ve been a returning customer and worked with Charlie Jones years back and never had any issues.Literally, it all comes down to communication. If you set up an appointment and the first timeframe does not work get back with your client and schedule a date that does. That way your establishing returning customers, and who knows how many more appointments would’ve came from this.What is probably the most upsetting is I hold the shop up to the most high standard and actually don’t want to go anywhere else. If someone would like to reach out directly, I’d love to get matched up with a different artist if that’s possible. I’ve already sent in my artwork directly to him and establish exactly what I wanted when I met him in person so maybe there’s someone else that can help me.Idk very strange experience. And what makes it even a little bit more awkward is obviously I can see that he’s read my text messages and literally has not even responded. If you didn’t want to do business with me for some strange reason even if I’ve missed you only one time, then just say so so I can get things rolling with somebody else.Cheers

Joshua Cohn did a wrist tattoo for both me and my mom one weekday afternoon (when he usually takes appts only)! He not only was efficient in his time but also did a great job! The tattoo was exactly what each of us wanted and turned out better than we expected! While I was there, I had him take a look at my faded 12 year old tattoo. At a later date he re-did it completely! It looks 10 times better and you can actually see what it is now! Thanks so much Josh!I also got my nose pierced here as well! It was very clean and turned out awesome compared to my first nose piercing several months ago! They had so many ring options which is what made my nose piercing heal right this time!You guys are great! I’m sure I’ll be back!

Went in for a septum piercing today. It’s my first piercing and I was visibly nervous. The lady at the front desk was very kind and reassuring. Den Den did my piercing and was great. He explained everything step by step and really let me take my time and mentally prepare. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a great piercing experience.

Joshua is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I am so fearful when it comes to getting new tattoos because I’ve had a couple bad experiences. I’m so hesitant trusting someone to tattoo me, but he commented on one of my existing tattoos and told me everything I needed to hear. I scheduled an appointment with him for the next day, and he absolutely SAVED the tattoo on my arm. Scheduled an appointment for 2 weeks later, and I’ll be going back shortly to get the rest of my arm tattooed! I have all the faith in the world in him, and I’m so glad I have a tattoo artist I’m 100% confident in. I can’t wait to show off his amazing work!!!! 100/10 recommend.Not only do they do amazing tattoos at this location, they are expert piercers as well! Go to Carmela for your piercings! She 100% knows what shes doing and is super professional. She also made me feel very comfortable even though I was really nervous about getting my nose pierced. It was quick and mostly painless, and my healing process went really smoothly. I will definitely go to her for all my piercings from now on.

I got my first tattoo here. The artist did an absolutely fantastic job, and I got in and out of here very quickly. I had my arm numbed, and with the lidocaine they use here, it works like a charm. I did not feel a thing during my tattoo. I’m very happy with what I got, and I’ll definitely be coming back here again if I get any more.

In the last 3 weeks, I have been to RCT for 2 piercings and 2 tattoos.Joshua did my 2 wrist tattoos of my sons names. I asked and within an hour I was able to have them. I know this is not always the norm. They are simple but amazing. He made me feel like we had been friends for years. Go in for pain therapy and come out with much more! I will be reaching out for more for sure!Vanessa and Laura did my 2 piercings. They both made me feel very comfortable. Made me feel like I had been there 1k times.

Joshua Cohn is one of the best tattoo artists I’ve ever been to. I drove two hours to have him tattoo my back. He was super nice, professional and kept making sure I was okay and was very patient with me and all of the breaks I needed. He is awesome and you’d be lucky to get tattooed by him!

Joshua was awesome to work with! He took my inspiration and drew it out, incorporating everything I wanted! He was very patient as I took time to decide which way I wanted the wording on my wrist to face (towards me or towards who Im showing the tattoo). A few weeks after I got my new tattoo, I reached out to him asking if I might be able to get a touch up at the end of 2020 because I found out I was expecting! He was quick to say yes and that is something I value. He was understanding and accommodating.

Second time getting My belly piercing, my first time was an bad experience Somewhere else, so I was a bit scared to get it done again but my piercer was Jeremy, he made me feel comfortable and reassured me that he will take good care of me! He did an amazing job! He is very professional, and he made sure everything he used was sanitized. He is great! I definitely recommend Jeremy! Will for sure be going back to him if I get any more piercing! :)

A few days ago a nice man named Den was able to help me with my helix which was irritated and acting up despite having it for a year. I have been coming to this RCT for 2 or 3 years and I love and trust all the staff, they are kind and understanding and the store is very very clean. Everyone here is trained well, professional, and everything is dealt with in a wonderfully timely manner. I dont trust any other shop with my piercings, Ive already had 3 done here and plan on many more.

My experience with JR was amazing. His customer service was a breath of fresh air. He took his time with me and explained everything. My tattoo came out perfect. The attention to detail blew my mind. I see why he is one of the best in the area at realistic tattoos.

Went to the Shop on 1/29/20 and had the best experience. Den Den had great customer service he took the time to explain which earring would work best for my daith piercing. He did this all while working with other customers. This shop deserves more than 5 stars! Den even took the time to change my earring because I was too scared to do it on my own. I walked into RCT and was able to book a tattoo appointment for the next day.Joshua, my tattoo artist was phenomenal. Went in for a nostril piercing and navel piercing for my daughter. The wait was a little long but Den Den was up front about it. There were at least 6 in front of us waiting. After talking with my daughter we decided to wait it out, and we are so glad we did!! Den Den was AMAZING!! My daughter wanted these for her birthday and was a little nervous. Den Den was super patient, made sure that she knew the steps he was taking, made sure she liked the placement, etc.. He had her laughing so much we had to wait a couple of minutes to calm down so he could pierce her nose. Yall, he even wiped the mascara off her face from her eyes watering!! Den Den, thanks for being an AWESOME person!! We would wait again for piercings if we could make sure he was our guy!

100% best place to get pierced and Carmela is awesome. She fixed my botched Claires piercing (i know, big mistake) and I got two new ones; a nose stud and a dermal. Both placed exactly where I wanted them and done with precision and professionalism that I was thoroughly impressed by--not to mention her calm demeanor and good humour to set your jitters at ease. I trust no one else with putting holes in my face now. A++ will get stabbed again.

I only went in to get a couple new nose studs, but I had a fantastic experience. As soon as I got in, Lane was super friendly and helpful in educating me on their supply and helping me find some I liked. Then Shawn put in one of the studs I chose for me, while making sure I not only walked out happy with my choice, but was also well-informed on how this particular stud works.10/10 reccomend. Ill be back for sure!

Very poor customer service. I walked in with my wife and we were wanting to get info about a tattoo that we wanted. Ive never had a tattoo so I was trying to get help with exactly what I wanted and he was little to no help. Didnt offer ideas of any kind. My wife knew exactly what she wanted. She was ready to get it done then and he made us feel like an imposition. I am in a service industry myself and can relate to how you should make a customer feel. Your customer should feel wanted and like they are the only person in the world. We felt like we were interrupting his slow time and he didnt want to be bothered. We did have our kids with us but I was going to walk around with them while she got tattooed. He kept looking at the kids and saying we could schedule for another day. I would never turn business away, I would communicate with my customer so they know what would be best. I will be taking my business elsewhere, a place that will make me feel welcome, especially not knowing exactly what to ask for because I am new to tattoos.

Carmela does amazing work! There hasn’t been one piercing I haven’t been super happy about. She’s always up to date on techniques and she’s very very knowledgeable. And everything is ALWAYS clean. Every time someone asks “where should I go for this ____” I always refer them to her.

Got a small 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 tattoo on my chest of a stick figure and they charged me 100$. Over priced as hell. I also brought my wife along and they were very patronizing to her. Telling her that the flowers she wanted to get didnt look good and they were constantly ignoring her and trying to change it and the size. If I hadnt been there to firmly say no, they wouldve tattood whatever they wanted on her. 10 out of 10 would not reccomend, unless you feel like wasting a bunch of money for no reason.

Just got my second tattoo from Josh. As long as I live in the area I won’t go to anyone else but him. First time I went to him I had my own design. This time I used one of his and it’s perfect. He’s great with floral designs and with placement suggestions.

I went in for a Roman numeral tattoo of 7•5•2020. The people were very professional and Stephen Reaves (my tattoo artist) was so amazing! He held a conversation with me so that I wouldn’t think about the needle and he even re-stincled 3 times to make sure my tattoo looked perfect. I recommend this shop and Stephen for any tattoo needs. 10/10 perfect!!!!! I will be going back to see Stephen!

Carmela is an absolute dream to have pierce you. She is a perfectionist so you know whatever she does will be exactly what you want. I got several nose piercings done and she made sure they lined up evenly and was a huge asset during the after care experience. My previous piercer wasnt great about answering questions but she was wonderful and seemed genuinely concerned about whether or not I was happy/satisfied. I went here on News Year eve to get a piercing. I was greeted by a very friendly employee who answered all my questions. The person who did my piercing was Kelley she was very friendly knowledgeable and over all just great at her job. She made the whole experience fun and relaxed. I did not have any problems with infections and Kelley told me that if I had any questions or concerns to feel free to call and ask or come in and get it checked out. He had great insight and suggestions, spent about 20 min designing my tat from a pic I brought and one my husband already had, and did a great job on the final product. Just had an amazing experience here at the Chesterfield Co. Mall location. Person with cool style himself who attended to me was polite when I called and when I was at the shop. He inspected what jewelry I had when what I relayed over the phone caused confusion and figured out what I needed to replace when the piece I had gem fell out. The change was painless and was so easy I forgot to check out the new bling until he asked me to. Thank you! Will return for more jewlery and cant wait to see the remodel.

I walked in here a few weeks ago with a vague idea for a cover up and Joshua did a fantastic job with it and was very professional and able to take me right then. I’ve since gotten another custom from him where I gave him some references and he drew up a beautiful piece. He’s also very light handed which definitely makes the process more comfortable.

I’ve been to RCT CTC twice now, the first to get a nostril piercing, and the second to get a tattoo. The costumer service is great, and both the tattoo artist (Joshua) and piercer (DenDen) are incredibly helpful and friendly. Both ask many questions to ensure customer satisfaction, and are sure that the customer is informed and knowledgeable about the entire process, start to finish. Prices are decent, as there was no difficulty healing for either the tattoo or the nose piercing, which is something which I have struggled with with my other piercings and tattoo done elsewhere. I will certainly frequent RCT for my other tattoo and piercing needs.

I’ve been to multiple different artists and by far Joshua has been the best experience I’ve had. Extremely professional, amazing work, talked new through some of the more painful parts of my tattoo. I highly recommend coming in and asking for him!

I got a helix piercing here and this place is AMAZING! If youre getting a piercing ask for Den Den. I was absolutely terrified about the pain but I didnt feel it at all. Den Den was so cool and calm. Very clean shop. I rarely leave good reviews but this place really was amazing.

If you notice the people leaving bad reviews are only complaining about the customer service and the Jewelry. I will say the jewelry in tattoo shops are more expensive because they are the best quality. If you want something cheap go to Hot Topic or Spencers. If you know anything about piercings or have any knowledge about them then you shouldnt be complaining about the price of them. On the customer service side.... I was treated nice. But I also knew what I wanted and went right up to the front desk. If youre just going in to browse around you most likely wont get a Hi. Think about it.... this is a tattoo shop in the mall. They get a ton of just casual people browsing and walking in and out all day not looking to get anything. But anyway.... I went for a tattoo. I wanted some of my favorite song lyrics tattooed on my upper arm. I had went to a previous shop and they wouldnt even think about doing it. They took one look, saw it was lettering and was like yeah, no Im not interested in doing it. I called River City to see if someone there could do it and they did it the same day and I have no complaints about how it turned out. :)

I get all of my piercings done here and have had no problems at all. Most of the staff is very nice, informative and professional. Their prices can be a bit on the high side, but the location is very convenient.

Got my Nipples pierced yesterday and the guy did a PHENOMENAL job. He made me feel very comfortable which is very important! Definitely recommend this place for your piercings.

Joshua is the best artist I’ve had tattoo me in Richmond! I’ve met him at another shop and he was the best there as well! Amazing artist and really good guy! Def recommend 10 out of 10

AJ was exceptional and friendly. Walk-in didn’t take much time and was reasonable.

I Went there today to try and get a tattoo for the first time, after arriving about 10:50am I realized the shop wasnt open until 11am so I decided to wait, I browsed around the mall to pass time then Promptly went in and was greeted by a Piercer who was very nice. I told him what I was there for and he told me the tattoo artist wasnt going to arrive until 11:30am and though I was very nervous I decided to wait in my car for 30 mins. At about 11:28am I walked back in and the Piercer told me he should be walking in at any minute so I sat down and within 5 minutes the tattoo artist walked in. I sigh with relief and looked at him and I said good morning and believe it or not he walked pass me and didnt even utter a word! I felt so disrespected, and even with that after about 10mins he came back out and I showed him a small tattoo I wanted on my finger and he quoted me a price I thought was too much yet I still played it cool told him thank you and walked out. I wasted my time and energy only to be insulted. That tattoo guy with the beard is very rude and disrespectful and shouldnt be working with customersI FOUND SOMEWHERE AND WILL NEVER GO BACK UNLESS ITS TO GET A PIERCING.

Joshua and @jcotattoos on instagram is incredibly professional and made me feel at ease and very comfortable especially through this pandemic. he knows what he is doing and takes you through the steps of your time in his chair. i love my tattoo and his professionalism.

My sister and I came in to get some jewelry switched out and werent greeted or anything. The guy behind the register was drinking beer. I love when intoxicated people will be handling my body piercings and/or tattoos! My sister asked how much it would be to simply switch out the jewelry for her since she hasnt done it before. He asked for 5 dollars cash, which now that i think about it, was probably to personally pocket by not using the register and keep it off the books. He asked my sister how old she was and when she said 16 he rudely told her then no and we left. I understand why he said no but he just seemed very annoyed and rude.

The artists are super professional and do amazing work. I had my latest work done by AJ. He did such a great job.

I came in to talk to a tattoo artist at chesterfield towne center and the piercer (den) was lovey and so was the front desk girl very sweet and helpful but the tattoo artist joshua talked to me like i was ignorant and was over all just very rude to me and his co workers. he puts a stain on river city because ive experienced only great things from river city until now. someone should tell him how to talk to customers!

Joshua is phenomenal!!! He does tattoos & let me just say he never disappoints! Genuinely speaking, i’ve gone to Joshua 2x already and i will definitely be going back for more!

Bo was wonderful! Warm, welcoming, professional, walked me through every step. He was also very meticulous, made sure everything was lined up accordingly. Definitely will be a repeat customer.
