My second tattoo here and Im just as stoked as the first. If I remember Ill update with a nice healed pic of what I got. But in the mean time heres my view from the chair. An autographed guitar from one of Richmonds finest.The shop is clean and eclectic. The People are diverse and fun. Couple of local stores around to hit up for food or whatever while youre waiting. Total win.Keep it up 🤘

They were absolutely amazing! My 17 year old wanted a tat for his birthday. They were so professional with the ID check and the pricing was AMAZING! Everyone was so chill and relaxed. Made you feel comfortable. HIGHLY recommend if you need tattoos or piercings.

The BEST place to go for a piercing! staff are super welcoming and understanding and have real and genuine conversations with their clients. lucky 13 is the only place i have been where my piercing hasnt closed. i got my belly button done in august and have had no trouble with it at all and was placed perfectly, and i just got my septum done. very quick and virtually painless. hands down my favorite place to go. the shop itself is very pleasing to the eyes (ex. no harsh lights/blasting music, perfect for those w sensory issues) and it really shows off each and every personality in the building.

Iain is AMAZING!! hes done 4 of my piercings now and i kinda love him! I was TERRIFIED of my getting my nose pierced (i blame peer pressure from my adult daughters😂) but it was done so fast!! and now i LOVE it!! i cant wait to go back and get more! i got my nose done in January for $20 (plus tip; DONT FORGET TO TIP!) and 3 ear piercings (both lobes bc they had closed up 10-15 years ago) and a right helix for $60. I CANT WAIT TO GO BACK

Shout out to you guys. I came there last week and got my dermal pierced. My whole experience was amazing. The atmosphere was very clean and organized. I was in and out. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. My piercer was great. I even tried to tip him and he told me not to worry about it. So the least I can do is write a good review. And I LOVE my new piercing. I will be back and I highly recommend this place. Way to go Lucky 13!!!!

This is the best place I have ever been to in Virginia. The people there are awesome and they have the best artists I have ever seen. I love my tattoo today I started my half leg sleeve of Greek gods and Cortez did an amazing job. Booking was easy he took down what I want and made my tattoo in my mind come to life. Where I got 1 small tattoo for 150 smh .I got 4 for 50 more at Lucky 13 .Dont waste your time anywhere else but here..10/10

I love this place. They do great tattoos and will design custom ones. Very clean. Nice interior. Separate areas for piercing. They do an excellent job on piercings and very reasonable prices. Open 12pm to 8pm everyday of the week. Appointments recommended for tattoos.

I have had my nose pierced 4 times prior, to this visit. My 16 year old daughter wanted her belly button and nose pierced, due to my previous experience I bought her here and her experience, just like mine was AMAZING! I believe the piercer name was Nina. Really sweet and nice lady. She seems to have a lot of experience and the process was over in literally a short few minutes for both piercing. Although she (my daughter) was just 16, the process was a breeze and was only $20 each! Highly recommend but no phones are allowed for recording. Ask for Nina but everyone was extremely friendly!

Nina re-pierced my belly button for me and was incredibly sweet and calming, and paid great attention to detail when setting up the piercing. I will definitely be back to see her, and visit the shop. Everyone I have dealt with on the piercing side as well as the tattoo side is incredible!

Friendly staff and no nonsense piercing, with straightforward, affordable pricing. They use surgical steel for the initial jewelry, where some fancier places use implant grade titanium. But the prices are much more affordable, you can walk in without appointments, and the wait is not usually long. Keep in mind- there is ZERO parking, other than finding a spot to parallel park and walk (hasn’t been a problem for us yet.) Not a huge selection of jewelry, but you don’t need that for new piercings anyway. Do recommend as an affordable, safe piercing option. We’ve had fairly good experiences with them so far.

I’ve been here quite a few times and my experience is always pleasent. Yesterday, I returned to get my back dimples repierced and brought my little sister along for her piercings. The receptionist (I didn’t get her name) was very sweet! J-Sin was our piercer and he was very friendly and super encouraging! I highly recommend him.. he made our experience fun and memorable! Thank-you J-Sin!

I have gone exclusively to lucky 13 for the past 2 and a half years. Everyone is personable and truly cares about you. Ali is my artist. She takes her time making sure your tattoo is perfect and is great company for the session. All photos added were done by her.

From when we walked in the door to getting the actual piercing itself done we were treated so very well! The staff was attentive immediately and kind! The lady who did the piercing was so very knowledgeable about it! And it was painless! A great shop!

Piercer was harsh with my skin, dismissive of me as soon as I showed him my piercing and jewelry, and overall had an unnecessarily bad attitude and rude tone with me. My piercing ended up getting infected not even a week later. I suggest going somewhere where piercers have better attitudes and actually care about their clients.

UPDATE: I got my third lobes pierced here and I was told I can change it after a month. I did but then had to go to URGENT CARE bc of an embedded earring backing. This place has cost me $200 and A LOT OF PAIN! DO NOT GO HERE!!--The most affordable place to get a piercing in Richmond and they do it really quick. If you are hypersensitive to metals like nickel you might not wanna go here because all of their jewelry has some sort of nickel trace in it. If you were to ask them if it was hypoallergenic, they dont actually give you an honest answer and only tell you what it is. But I can give you an answer: not hypoallergenic. I also liked when a piercing artist can be honest and helpful but they werent so much compared to other places Ive gone.Definitely nice for a quick and easy piercing, but it might not be worth it if you want really good quality jewelry. If youre gonna pay for a piercing and want it forever, might as well make the investment and go somewhere trustworthy that sells good quality jewelry.

My favorite place to go for Piercings. Ive been going here for 15 years. Ive gotten a few of my tattoos done here as well and Ive always been pleased. Im not sure if they still do the Friday the 13th deals, but I have also come here for those events and love the idea of $13 tattoos on Friday the 13th

Came here for maybe 6/7 years and loved getting J-Sin & Iain to do my piercings!! Over a year ago I came in and Nina did my daith piercing. It was the most painful piercing I’d had to date, but I didn’t think much of it at the time. Unfortunately it has been bleeding and painful since that day & never healed. I can’t even touch around the area without it hurting. Other piercers have told me that it was pierced incorrectly & that the misplacement is the cause of these issues. They also say that she pierced it so badly & so far back into the groove of my ear that it makes it very hard for me to be able to clean it since it’s practically flush to my ear. I compared the placement of mine to my sister’s and can see the blatant difference. She also pierced my sister’s septum incorrectly, like she herself thought it looked off, removed the needle & then had to poke another hole in her nose. I haven’t been back since because now I only feel comfortable with being seen by one of the guys.

Can’t recommend this place enough. I’ve been here twice, and both times I’ve received excellent service. They’re clean, quick, and direct with what they need from you. Answered all my questions, were great at helping me select jewelry, and always pick up the phone. Also, saline solution is $10! Eyebrow, lip, and nostril piercings are $20.

Do not go here for piercings. My septum was pierced too high and my nose is still irritated a couple months later. Ive also spoken to some people that say they were unhappy with how their piercings and tattoos turned out after visiting this shop. Id avoid this place in general

I’ve really enjoyed most of my visits, the women artists are very sweet and welcoming, and they’ve always done well. Though the one time i’ve had a man, they were watching a comedy special that just joked on women the entire time. i try not to be sensitive, but i do feel there is a time and place. next time, will definitely just schedule with one of the girls ahead, but regardless, prices are good and i’ve never had a truly bad experience, just a bit of an uncomfortable one.

Went in as a walk-in yesterday, and Ali was free. I cant speak highly enough of this talented artist and delightful person. My tattoos (I got 2) turned out beautifully. The other artists that walked through during my session were also very friendly. Ill be back for sure.

Terrible customer service. Rude staff. I walked over to Enigma for better jewelry, service, and staff! I inquired about what I should get pierced and they told me I should know when I come in. Don’t have many piercings and just wanted some brief education. Grateful enigma could provide that.

I have a few tattoos done by artists here and I have had nothing but good experiences. The front desk staff is always super friendly and I haven’t had any bad experiences with artists. My partner and friends have also had work done here, all pleased with the results. My most recent was done by Vermin, and I could not recommend him enough. His work is solid and he was super friendly and focused. I brought in a design I drew to get tattooed and he worked with me to make it doable with my budget and space. Very pleased with everything!

Best place I have ever been to. All of the workers are super sweet and nice on answering all of my questions and concerns. They all have upbeat and positive energy that keeps you calm and takes the nerves away. Love my piercing thank you

Went about a year ago for my septum(nearly painless) and less than 5 minutes,again today went for bridge(advised against) and happily so. Ended up with double industrial and aside from the pain. Done expeditiously by Ashley. 10/10 would recommend,and will be returning. Even took a minute to make sure I was okay after and brought juice to help ease the shock.

I went yesterday to get a chest dermal piercing and I can honestly say I was beyond impressed with this establishment .I was very anxious and Nina was the young lady who did my piercing and there are not enough words to even describe how amazing she was.I had also called before I came in and she was totally thorough and a expert at her profession .I appreciate her taking the time to care and talk me thru the whole process and making me feel comfortable and she did a amazing job that was pretty painless actually .I had heard so many things about it hurting but she must certainly be an expert because she truly did make this the best experience ever .I did tell the Owner as well that she truly is a assert to this establishment and I wish more people in life had her fantastic attitude ..Thank you again Lucky 13 and Nina for being a truly amazing individual .

Prices are cheap, piercer is knowledgeable, and the piercing is swift, jewelry is surgical steel. With that said, a few things were unexpected— we had to wait outside for 20+ minutes then waited some more in the lobby, there are no vending machines for drinks/snacks in case you get light headed, the process was rushed/limited time to ask questions, you cannot select your piercing jewelry you are given a standard silver ball, staff was very blunt. If you want something swift and fair priced, i would 100% recommend, but if you would like a little more time, care, and discussion of options, I would go else where.

Quick, clean, easy, no BS. May look a bit sketchy from the outside, dont let it fool you. Immortalizing the family matriarch, relatively easy design but Angel nailed it. Return visit, new tatoo 2022. Nailed that too. Reasonable pricing, expect a line on the weekend.

We were walk-ins and they took us quite quickly. Kelsey was going to take care of both of us, but we end up running late for our flight (our fault, I never want to rush an artist so I didn’t say anything up front) so V, assisted by doing my matching tattoo (a drawing my son did 6 yrs ago). Wish we had more time, I would have gotten another tattoo here for sure. The vibe and atmosphere was great! My son who just was just one tattoo in, now has 4! This place was great! I was in town for a concert for a few days and felt like changing jewelry on an existing lip piercing to be more festive. They didn’t charge me for either visit!My friend got her septum pierced and 2nd ear lobe piercings and said that her piercer, Ashley, was really good. Lastly, Red was really awesome to chat with 🖤 They are a natural with customer service!

Wanted a quick spur of the moment nose piercing; walked in to find that the lobby was FULL of people waiting after check in and waiting in line to be checked in. I contemplated leaving, but I came in on a Friday after work and had time to kill. I was surprisingly in and out quickly considering how many people were waiting in front of me. The girl at the front desk was extremely nice and the male piercer was as well. Extremely fair priced, nice people, a very sanitary experience (very important), speedy service, and overall, zero complaints. Keep up the good work Lucky 13. 💪 I will be back.

Alison is so talented and friendly! Was nervous for my first couple tattoos but felt very comfortable with her and she answered all my questions before, during and after. Ali is the rudest, most obnoxious tattoo artist I’ve ever been to. She’s too short and has no customer service skills. The art was alright I guess. She should consider a different day job.

I cannot speak highly enough about Chris! I came in as a walk in and got incredibly lucky. I brought him a concept and he dedicated time to draw a completely new tattoo, and put thought into the artwork he created. He drew a baller tattoo and it looks even better completed! Will be returning to have Chris tattoo me again

Guys wouldnt let your woman go here mine went and the dude flirted with her and ended up getting with her this is her fault for being a cheater but didnt think I would have to worry about that paying for her tattoo and sending her Stevie is a terrible person because he knew she had a fiancé of 10 years and still proceeded to do what he did leaving a terrible review of this place everywhere and telling everyone I know not to go there or your old lady might cheat on you

One of the first shops I ever went to for both piercing and tattoos and they have been wonderful each time. Most recently went to see J to get my septum done and it was quick and easy, and I felt comfortable the entire time. Can’t go wrong with anyone here!

I had my 1 st piercing done the other day. I believe her name was Ashley she explained everything to me before she started!

I’ve heard that Lucky 13 is really hit or miss, and it’s very true. I have friends who have gone that have gotten great tattoos, unfortunately the same could not be said for me. The tattoos that I received are wobbly and crooked. The tattoo that I got on my right arm is off center and crooked, I put my trust in the artist to do a good job as I wasn’t able to see correctly if the stencil was in a good place. My mistake, I guess he didn’t care. As for my left arm, the placement is good but the lettering is atrocious. It’s a simple “777”, yet all the 7’s look different. The tattoo artist seemed to be in a rush and just wanted me out of there, and it’s because of this that I walked out of there without asking him to fix it. I am heartbroken that I now have to live with these on my body, I hate them. As an aspiring tattoo artist I would never let someone walk away with these tattoos.I will say the receptionist was wonderful. I can’t remember the name of my “artist” but he was an older man with a beard.

Wheelchair accessible very friendly and helpful have had 4 peircings here and will be back for more and ink to accent it all!

I was nervous and terrified this being my first tattoo and hearing so many stories of pain, but while it was a little intense it wasnt too bad. Ashley (not sure I spelled it her way) was awesome. She understood and was patient with my constant apologies. The atmosphere was friendly and bright. The entire staff was jovial and that made it more calming for a older newbie like me. The artist that did my work was Bryan, I loved what he drew up for me from the details I gave him. He is amazing!!! If I decide to brave the parlor again I will definitely go back to Lucky 13 and seek out Bryan. Thanks Lucky 13.

Bad experience. They should have a better attitude wait for you when you havent figured out where is in your body to place a tattoo( its because the sentence after printing is bigger than i expected) and its a thing that will stay on my skin forever. He rushing me and non stop asking where do i want it, he made me feel uncomfortable. I got my done by mr ink and such a shame to say he misspelled my tattoo :) Thank you because right now I have to find a place to remove them

Got my ears pierced here by ashley. She pierced them uneven. The only solution she was able to offer was for me to pay again for her to repierce them. you get what you pay for lol

Helix piercing surgical steel jewelry caused my ear piercing to become infected after a few days prices are cheap but the jewelry is even cheaper wouldnt recommend this place if u have sensitive skin or allergies to metals

Got my peircing and my tattoo here, very nice and courteous staff, artist are engaging and friendly. If you can, ask for Ethan, only took my tat an hour and one break but it only felt like 30 mins with great conversation! I thought it was going to be a long wait but I didnt realize how many artists were in the building .. I definitely recommend Lucky 13

I love the atmosphere and just the people there make the whole place even better. Like shout out to Kelsey especially she’s so sweet and talented especially patient 😂. I got one ear pierced here, and Im happy with how it looks. The staff were all very welcoming, which was nice because I hadnt gotten a piercing before. The treatment recommendation when I went (not within the last few months, so it may be different now) was to keep it clean with unscented dial soap. The piercing itself was a really easy process, and the piercer was very clear about what was happening. In and out in no time.

There were a few people in front of me but I didnt have to wait long at all. The piercer was quick, professional and did a great job with my piercing. I also purchased the aftercare solution and am healing nicely.

I got 3 piercings (conch, helix, and septum) and it was easily the best piercing experience I’ve had out of all my 14. Prices are too good to be true and my piercer was so nice, will definitely be back.

Got my septum pierced by Nina, she was great. Very quick with the piercing, explained the aftercare well, and had me in and out in no time. Will definitely go back if I want more piercings in the future.

Just had a matching nostril piercing done. I had a great experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nina did my piercing and she did an excellent job making sure that my new piercing would align with the one on the other side of my nose. She also made sure to remind me of aftercare. Nina was friendly and did my piercing so fast! 10/10 would do it again!!!

Went to get a double nose piercing today and it was the best experience I had. After my piercing I started to feel a little dizzy and I didn’t know why so they explained why and helped me until I felt better. 10/10 will come back again.

Ashley and Jsin were rude during my experience. Just wanted to get body jewelry and leave yet they feel like they have an entitlement for you being off your phone.. even when they are not speaking to you, which no where on the website states that as a policy, not welcomed, but wouldn’t come back regardless.

This is the absolute best place to get a piercing in Richmond! J-Sin has done my industrial, eyebrow, and most recently my bridge, and Nina did my nostrils as an apprentice. I have never had any problems healing any piercing I have received here. The shop atmosphere is awesome, everyone is chill and polite.

Iain did an amazing job! Went in yesterday 4/22/2023 to get my nipples pierced. He was so friendly and made me feel comfortable and promised to be done fast. He kept that promise and the piercing didn’t hurt a bit. I highly recommend!!

Been here for 3 different piercings and haven’t had a bad experience. Highly recommend Ashley, super sweet and attentive. Wait time is usually around 15 minutes but they’re super quick and get you in and out.

I got my tragus done + septum changed here this past week anfter after many positive reviews. Very clean shop, and the person at the front was very kind. My piercer was great too! Didn’t catch their name but they gave me a high five walking in and asked about my day which was nice. Overall cool person, and very friendly :D. Tragus piercing was done super quick, and overall very great experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting any piercings done.

The male piercer was extremely rude. I went to get my nostril pierced on the other side of my nose from my already pierced nostril on my right. He marked a spot, and I asked for it to be shifted slightly, and he acted like that was a huge ask and inconvenience, and literally told me to just do it myself (even though it’s his job). I ended up taking out my piercing almost immediately after it was pierced. Obviously I can’t see how symmetrical the piercings would be just doing it myself, and I felt rushed after he erased it the second time, and just sat on his phone annoyed until I decided on a spot. When I was leaving he said to my friends “see I told her my placement was right the first time” to rub it in my face that it was clearly unsymmetrical. Overall just had a really poor experience, the piecer was rude and inconsiderate; definitely didn’t care if the customers were actually happy with their piercings.

I got a super rushed belly piercing that was terrible healing because they used too short jewelry. It started sinking into the piercing hole and I got it taken out and just let it close. Will never come back.

It’s been a few years since I’ve gotten a tattoo, so I was a little nervous. But from the moment I walked in the door I received nothing but the best customer service. The person at the front desk (I’m so sorry I didn’t get your name!) was a sweetheart and the paperwork process was easy…she even told me happy birthday, as my birthday is this Friday (8/18). When I met my artist, Vermin, he was really nice and gave me solid feedback regarding my tattoo choices…which I really appreciated. During the process, he was friendly and made me a lot more relaxed….we even share a love of Izze drinks lol. It was a quick process overall (about an hour from the time I walked in to the time I was leaving). Vermin even gave me a new Izze drink to try (which was really good, btw). All in all, it was a great experience and I’ll definitely be back in the future. Thank you so much!

Got here 30 minutes before they close for a piercing. the open light was on so we were excited to get in. went to the side door, like we were instructed to do by someone who works there. we get to the side door where the sign said not to knock because “you can be seen” even though there is a thick curtain. we waited for 25 minutes & nobody came so we left. they had turned the open sign off & locked all doors. these people may know what they are doing, but they are some of the rudest & dismissive people i have ever encountered. i will not be coming back as they clearly don’t want or need money. i will gladly go some place else where they appreciate their customers.

Went in and got my tongue pierced on Friday the 13th fast forward to an hour n a half later I’ve had to take it out because it was done incorrectly I’ve had my tongue pierced before and this is absolutely horrible it was too far back crooked and overall just wrong won’t be coming back the girl they have doing piercings isn’t trained. She was very nice but skill wise lacks I just hope they do better.

These people especially the Piercing team are so kind and courteous. I mean just the Sweetest , Caring and compassionate people Ive ever had the Pleasure of meeting. Aiden is just a gentle giant. I hope I spelled his name correctly. But he definitely takes his job to heart and Loves and enjoys what he does. And the Young Lady that opened the side door was just a Sweetheart !!!❤ In which she addresses you as Sweetie. Simply the Best !!! I came in on Sunday May 21st 2023 about a cheek piercing infection and they took care of me immediately. He told me that I would feel better very soon and he was correct. I would recommend Lucky 13 to anyone . As I said before they are SIMPLY THE BEST❤❤❤!!!!

Sara Bell is only my third tattoo artist, but she is by far the most talented. The way she was able to being my kittys portrait to life in NY skin was absolutely unreal. Shes also fun/funny, kind, and has such a gentle hand, by far the most painless tattoo in my journey thus far. 13 out of 10 would recommend! Cool shop too! Everyone seemed relatively friendly and honestly interested in each others work.

I went here to get my first tattoo a few days ago. It was wonderful! They were able to take me as a walk-in and it took about an hour for an artist to get freed up. Bryan did my tattoo and I could not be happier!

They have piercings down to a science. We showed up shortly after opening and were in and out in under 15 minutes. The staff were friendly and professional, they did a great job, and you cant beat the price!

Friendly, helpful, smiling faces from the front desk right on through the building. My inside wrist tattoo was a breeze. I expected more pain than it was. It is exactly what I invisioned. I couldnt be happier. I have about 3 more at least for him to do. Chris is fantastic.

TLDR: My piercings have been infected for 5 months, ever since i got them. They are crooked and painful. Make sure to pick out your jewelry yourself and that your piercer takes their time to sanitize everything and line up your piercings correctly.I really dont like leaving bad reviews, but I feel potential customers should be well-informed. I have been getting piercings for years, and have plenty of experience healing them. This is the first time Ive ever had piercings stay infected for so long.I walked in, paid $40 for 2 piercings, and was out of there in 15 minutes. I thought that was a steal until they immediately got infected. I didnt get to pick out my jewelry or even know the metal. My piercer showed me where the piercings would go, but did not sanitize my skin or take the time to line the piercings up properly. If anything like this ever happens to you, DONT feel bad stopping them! Your health is more important. Trust your gut.Ive had these piercings for 5 months now, and theyve been infected the entire time. I have done everything I can to heal them, i habe the special pillow, I used saline and Bactine and now Ive even been the the doctor for antibiotics, and nothing is helping. I will likely have to have them taken out, and they could scar.My conch piercing is also completely crooked, it is diagonal through my ear and thats a big reason of why it wont heal.By the time Ive paid for the medications and doctors visits, as well as repiercing someday, it would have been worth just going somewhere more expensive in the first place.To end on a positive note, the staff were all friendly. I felt comfortable at the time, just a bit rushed.

Came in for a nose piercing. There were several waiting for piercings so what eye thought would be a long wait turned out not to be. The service was clean quick and painless and my piercer was very comforting to help with the small anxiety eye had. Great experience overall 👌🏾

Went here to get my earlobes repierced and get a helix piercing. It didnt take very long even though there was a line. The prices were very affordable with each of my piercings being $20. A lot of other places in the area charge $25+. The piercer was really nice and answered all my questions.

I went there twice so far cant wait to go back the people are real cool and I want to work there one day so I give it a five star any day

Definitely liked it. Lobby was a bit small and had to wait outside until it cleared out but that makes sense due to Covid policy. The male piercer definitely rushed with everybody and you could tell he just wanted to get you out of his chair. My belly piercing is still crooked. I got it done in October and he started doing it right and then took out the needle and then did it again and it was crooked so it doesn’t match up at all. Still a nice clean atmosphere didn’t get to study the equipment but for $20 it’s pretty decent.

I got my conch piercing here and they are all so professional and quick! I walked in and out in about 20 minutes and I felt completely comfortable knowing how to do aftercare and everything. When I called about another piercing I was interested in they answered all of my questions and Im planning on getting more from them. Great prices too!

Had a tattoo appointment with Sara. I was nervous, it was my first tattoo and I’m not the best with pain. She made me feel comfortable and the entire experience was awesome! Everyone that works here is so nice and welcoming. Will be going back for sure!

I’ve come here many times and never have i ever got my stuff done by this girl. she doesn’t know what she’s doing she powdered my septum twice because she had it crooked and the second time it’s more crooked now. i was gushing blood and she didn’t even try to help just walked me out and handed me spray. The one guy that’s usually in there is amazing so hopefully you get him.

Went to get my nose pierced ... the process was quick. My piercer J-Sin was great answered all my questions and had a great sense of humor. Might have to come back to get some ink!

Most of my tattoos have come from Lucky 13 and I am happy with all of them but this was one special. My Dad past away a year and a half ago and it took me that long to decide what I wanted. I’ve had a couple experiences here and have always left happy. This place came highly recommended by some coworkers so I thought I’d give it a shot. I had my nipples pierced by Mikey and she made the entire thing super comfortable and was very nice. The piercings are healing great and I’m so happy. I came in another time to see J-Sin and he did my triple helix and tragus on two different ears. Even came back after a couple days just to check on the swelling and make sure I didn’t need longer bars. He didn’t even hesitate to bring me back to take a look. All is well and I left feeling good that day. The people at the desk are super great too!

Great walk-in experience! With the pandemic going on, they had us wait outside but it was not a long wait at all. I came in for my first helix piercings - one on each ear - and my piercer, Nina, was AMAZING. She was really sweet, patient, and helped answer some of the questions I had about maintenance and provided me with instructions too. It was such a quick process overall, which is great, but I really appreciate the quality in performance and care above all else. Thank you, Nina!

My friend and I came here a few weeks ago for some piercings on a Wednesday afternoon. It was super busy, but still got in and out pretty quickly! I got my nose pierced, and she got three in her ears. Mine is healing very nicely, and everyone was very helpful and kind.

Ive gotten multiple piercings here, and definitely think Im going to go back to get more. The piercings Ive gotten here have been some of the better positioned/better healings piercings out of all the ones I have. Youll definitely need to replace the piercings to something higher quality, but you pay for the quality. Even with the cheap price point, its definitely worth it, and I was very happy that my piercings came out perfect!

I went in to get upper and lower naval & surface tragus. They were all done by Nina and she was so nice and gentle. She made this experience a breeze. She gave me a lot of tips and I appreciate that! Just got a tattoo here two days ago and the artist kept pushing for me to get it so big. By the time I finished and made it home for a final look I realized the tattoo is both backwards and upside down. SMH! Guess I’ll be getting this laser removed. Only giving two stars because my piercing was great and the tattoo was done fast but you’d think an expert would catch this.

I came here last year to get my tongue re-pierced anh the one that did it was Iain. I asked him to do it in the same place it was before, but he didnt. I ended up having to take that out and let it heal. I came back on my birthday this year, and J-Sin perfectly pierced my tongue in the exact spot of had been in before. I cannot say how amazing he is and I am so thankful he was the one there that day. If you want a piercing, hes your guy 1,000,000,000% for sure. Hes been piercing for a long time and knows his craft extremely well. I wont go anywhere else if I decide I want something else pierced and when I get my daughters nose or ears pierced.

This shop has some talented artists. If youre a tattoo enthusiast, Lucky 13 may be a good place for you to find a reliable artist to do your ink.The artists and front-desk staff here are kind and very easy to talk to. They accept walk-ins on a first come, first serve basis and do not guarantee a spot unless you make reservation well ahead of time with one of their artists.We were a walk in and were quickly put with artists to do quick and easy pieces. The prices were agreeable and the work was nice.Only complaint I have is the location. As someone who isnt from the area, the location of the shop made us more than a little uncomfortable. Definitely not somewhere you would want to be walking around at after dark.

Its a tattoo parlor so depends on who you get if youre a walk-in or who you schedule with. Got done blackout work by Q which was awful and I had to pay someone else to finish what he started and redo what he worked on.Started seeing Chris and have been super happy. Hes talented, friendly, and really goes the extra mile. I couldnt say enough good things about him .

I got my nose and belly button pierced, they took me in fast and the lady that gave me the piercing (Nina) was extremely nice, even when I was freaking out because I hate pain over all she was great and I would go back again.

Got my angel fangs peircings done a few days ago by Nina, and she did a fantastic job! She answered any questions I had, and was very careful with the placement of the peircings. She made sure I was happy with the placement before peircing, and Im very pleased with the results. I will definitely be going back for more!

Every single experience Ive had here whether its getting a tattoo done by Abel or a piercing done by one of the folks in the back has been awesome. Super kind people, very straightforward with you if youre willing to listen, and awesome attitudes. Ive never had an issue here personally and I would highly recommend this place for anyones first piercing especially. Id gotten my ears pierced at Claires as a kid twice, but when I was old enough to go here I got them done properly for the first time and loved them. Ian, Charlotte, and Jason are the funniest people ever and they super comforting to talk to when youre getting a piercing done properly for the first time.

I’m pretty sure my artist yesterday was Chris, but he did a spider tattoo for me and I am still in love with it. :-) It’s so clean and sharp and completely opaque. I was really nervous because I’d previously gotten a tattoo done elsewhere and they did a terrible job, but the tattoo I got yesterday is immaculate and so beautiful. I also really enjoyed the experience, it was such a friendly and clean environment with a lot of fun stuff to look at to distract you while you’re getting it all done. I also really enjoyed that my artist seemed to read my energy and kept quiet the majority of the session, as I’m very socially awkward and prefer silence lol. I definitely will be back for more in the future!! Loved this place so much.

Made an appointment with their detail guy Mason and it got canceled 1/2 hour before the appointment… he then rescheduled for two weeks later. I just showed up today to the shop for the appointment, “Mason is not in today”… my business and referrals will go somewhere else. Doesn’t matter how good you are at what you do if you can’t communicate with customers…

Rude employees. Don’t recommend to come here to get any work done. I understand rooms are small and you can’t go in when someone is having piercings but there’s no reason someone can’t stand at the door or be nearby when they’re about to faint. Piercing lady is rude and has an attitude when asking her questions. Definitely recommend enigma across the street.

Took my daughter to get nose piercing. Staff was very friendly. It was an unusual slow day,(maybe be of holiday). Went once before with my wife & it was really busy.

I got my first piercing here, tongue and septum. i was super nervous but the piercer was super comforting and reassuring. he was also quick and efficient when it comes to the actual piercing. the other staff is super cool and friendly, one of the ladies held my hand during the tongue piercing. would definitely recommend.

I’ve gone here multiple times for multiple piercings, but won’t ever go back! They pierced my mom’s cartilage crooked and my septum crooked. My septum hurt so bad, looked off, and just didn’t seem right, so I went to get a second opinion and they said it definitely wasn’t done correctly or straightly. Called to let them know that my piercing was crooked and I had to get it removed by another piercer ONE day after getting it. Their response - “I don’t know what you want me to do with it now that it’s out.” Sad to hear you don’t value customers who have been loyal for years now. Super disappointing!

They where really friendly great artist I little bit more on the pricey side but hey theyre quality tattoos and pretty fast so cant complain.

I was scared to go here because every time I drove by it was a long line. Well I didnt have to wait long. Across the street there is another tattoo shop (nothing against them) but Im like why would people choose to wait in line when theres a shop right there? I figured it must be worth the wait. It was. I got my septum done. It was quick and painless. Way less painful than my nostril! The piercer took extra precautions to make sure he wasnt piercing through my cartilage. I would recommend.

This was my 1st time getting a tattoo done in Richmond. Lucky 13 came highly recommended. Young ladies at the front desk were very polite. I was a walk in so I had no idea who was going to do my tattoo. I was blessed with Abel. He was great. Very professional, clean work area, great conversation and awesome customer service. Ive only ever been here for the piercings. They get the job done, they have great prices, they suck at customer service though. Staff is very rude, unwelcoming, and its kind of obvious they would rather be doing anything else BUT the piercings are quick, effortless and well priced so I give it this rating because its not really about the service at a place like this. Plus they sanitize everything and the actual rooms are clean enough. So yeah, great product, bad service.

I’m happy with my piercing but not my experience. As I can tell it seems I’m not the only one who experienced unprofessionalism. They were nice in the beginning but then their tone switched when I asked to switch my septum ring out. Just very uncomfortable, I understand work can be frustrating but it’s not a good look to be rude to your customers.

Got my nipples done back in February and they were done under my nipple on the outside on both . My nipples are normal sized and there was ample space to get it right , now I have to let them close and get them redone the right way .

My husband and I came in today as walk-ins. The staff were all very friendly at both check-in counters. I got my septum pierced today. The piercer was very nice and answered any questions I had. Went really quick it was about a 15 minute wait and 5 minutes to get it done. The tattoo artist that did a small tattoo for my husband was also very nice and did a great job. We drove 2 hours from Stafford and 100% will be back 💛

They answered promptly when I called with questions, ensured appropriate precautions and social distancing, so I felt they prioritized client safety and cleanliness, and they got me in - gave me my piercings and aftercare instructions and got me out in a timely manner. Ian was an incredibly professional artist, he was kind, and obviously skilled. I will definitely go back to this shop the next time I want something done!

Excellent service. My fiancee had some piercings done here. Clean shop. Friendly staff. One of her two piercings got a local reaction and puffy two months AFTER the piercing. Not their fault. Came in one night ten minutes to closing, and a piercer who was there gave her friendly cleaning and skin care advice, and was told to come back in for another free look. Extremely professional care. Was very pleased about the outcome of the piercing. Would suggest for anyone from a kids piercing (whatever their policy is) to any adult. Friendly and professional staff. Extremely helpful even after the piercing, way more than the $20 or whatever it cost to get a nose/upper ear piercing.

The owner is great; other than that, some of the workers are rude and others do a bad job on the inking of a tat. I recommend never going to the Old Head that sits directly behind the front desk. Took my 200$ and did a terrible job. Now I have to wait weeks (2-4) in order for them to touch up, when it only took 3 hours out my life to do. Very, very, very disappointed. But quick to take someone’s money with no problems. Do better!!! I want my money back too. ASAP!

Husband and I came in for piercings and had a great experience here. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The place was clean. Atmosphere was good. Id definitely recommend them and will be coming back here for my future piercings and tattoos.

I came here to get a piercing, and I had an AMAZING experience. I thought it would take at least 30 minutes, but it probably took 5-10 at the most! I felt comfortable, and had absolutely no pain when Charlotte pierced me. She was amazing! I would definitely recommend her for anyone looking to get a piercing. :) Overall, it was a painless, easy, and wonderful experience.

Got my first tattoo from Abel Killian. Design was stunning but a bit bigger than would suit me. He redesigned it and its exactly what I wanted, and I couldnt be happier! Its technically bulletproof and the colors are spot on. Hes a lovely guy and Im definitely going back. The shop itself was spacious and clean, and had a great atmosphere. Was also going to get a piercing, but the line was a bit long for comfort for covid time. Definitely coming back another day for it! Very highly recommend

I went into lucky 13 today to get my Medusa done, and they guy who did it was amazing. I had another lip piercing on my bottom lip the wasn’t center also I got a bad eyebrow piercing at river city and so after leaving. I came back and he was super nice and comforting. Made me feel better re did my eyebrow just the best service. Even though during my Medusa I couldn’t sit still or keep my mouth open for the life of me. He still got it perfectly even. I will definitely be going back in to weeks to have him redo my bottom lip. Amazing service will always go to lucky 13 for every piercing I get. Truly amazing people. And even better service.

I don’t recommend going here. i got my nose piercing about 2 months ago and it fell out. i went to sleep and woke up and it was gone not to mention my nose whole was closed. i’m so angry because the piercing they gave me in the first place was awful. it would always stick out and you could see the piercing sticking out. not sure why they gave me that piercing for the first time because it wasn’t secure AT ALL. i recommend you go somewhere else that has better and more secure jewelry especially if it’s your first time getting one.

I had gone in here a few times for a new piercing and never had a bad experience. Super friendly staff and easily takes walk-ins (for piercings at least). Not only is a quick and professional process, but the price is unbeatable ! I love it here, will only being going to Lucky 13 for my piercings from here on out.

I have been going to lucky 13 for 9 years now. The staff is absolutely fantastic. Quality work done by all! All of my piercings have been done by Jason and he never ceases to amaze me. He is very informative with how to care for piercings and every hole he has poke looks amazing. This is my go to place for everything!

Came in for a septum piercing just knowing I was going to cry. Left 20 minutes later, including wait time, and never even had my eyes water. I unfortunately did not get my piercers name but they were a shorter blonde person with a really cool booth that has a memorable snail in it. They made it great and were super professional. Also the art in the bathroom, and everywhere else, is 🔥

It was fast cheap and the people were really nice. I got a rook and conch. Both $20. I was only there for like 7 min and was a great experience and I would go again.Edit two years laterI just got my first tattoo done by Bryan. It looks awesome!! It was fast not as painful as I thought it would be. And he was comfortable to be around. I definitely recommend getting tattooed by him I will again.

I got my tongue pierced, which was a good experience and it healed perfectly, my problem was with my tattoo artist. The tattoo itself was fine and was nicely done, not perfect but still quality. The artist was the problem. I’m 16, and my artist looked to be in his 40s. he flirted with me and made me very uncomfortable. he stopped when he found my age, but i still think it’s very unprofessional to flirt with your clients no matter the age.

This was a very neat professional space with many artists. Our design was well received and they did a good job making the print.Staff were friendly and all instructions were given my friend being a first timer in tattooing. The procedure was pretty fast and Tye overall experience was good.They do have the piercings too. Will want to take a look at that one day soon.

This was my very first piercing and unfortunately it was a very dismissive experience. Everything felt rushed and it seemed like the piercer didnt even want to be there.I wasnt asked where I wanted it, it was just Im going to mark you. Which made me feel restricted in my ability to choose. Even though the piercing wasnt anywhere near where I wanted it, I would have been okay with it had she paid attention to the anatomy of my ear. Theres a gentle curve which wouldve been perfect to place the piercing, yet its 2 millimeters below that. I honestly wouldve just gotten another one in July where I wanted it and had two but the placement was off. As soon as I got home, I removed it. Im so saddened that this was my first experience.Whenever I feel comfortable enough (which will take a very long time, shoot it took me a decade to finally go through with it), I will be going to a different location to hopefully find someone who is passionate about their work.

The guys here are fantastic. Joey did an excellent job of explaining the process, he made recommendations, and was very polite and skilled in his profession. We appreciate them going above and beyond for our birthday piercing.

Came here on my birthday for a memorial piece for my mom, and Alison was BEYOND amazing! She helped me with the entire process with amazing connection and patience, and as this was my first tattoo, was so kind and funny during the whole thing, was great on the details of aftercare, and again, so sweet! Charlotte was amazing. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I got 3 piercings done by Charlotte and am in love with them. She was professional and kind. I didnt get the name of the young woman who helped me at the body piercing counter but she was very sweet and explained things very well. The whole shop is extremely clean and they clean up right after you leave. I wont be going anywhere else for my piercings

After searching RVA for a quality shop for my piercings and tattoos, I’ve decided that Lucky 13 is my forever go-to place. There is a reason they’ve been voted the Best Tattoo Shop in Richmond!I’ve gotten several piercings from J-sin and each visit has been a great experience. He’s very professional and helpful. I was nervous and he talked to me to make me feel more at ease. He was quick and it has healed beautifully.I’ve also gotten several tattoos from Angel and each one is better than the last. He was patient as I decided placement and even offered suggestions for improving the designs.Each visit, everyone I have encountered is friendly and you can tell they love where they work. I always leave with something better than I expected walking in. I look forward to my next visit!

I went to lucky 13 to get my nose ring changed to a stud that I had from getting my nose pierced. First of all, the girl did not explain at all what she was doing, she just went at my nose. When she took my nose ring out, she completely destroyed it. It is no longer usable. I have taken this out and put it back in multiple times. She was not careful with maintaining my nose ring jewelry’s shape (which is not hard to maintain). Then when putting my nose ring in, she lost the end of the nose ring in my nose. It fell out, she lost it and then found it. This was completely unsanitary and unprofessional. She then had to re-clean it after I asked if the table top is sanitary (which she said it isn’t which tells me she’s not cleaning it between clients.) She finally got my piercing in and walked away saying there you go. This place is unprofessional and inconsiderate to their clients. I would not recommend unless you want a cheap job done and your piercings “man-handled”. I would have asked for a new nose ring from them since they destroyed them but at this point I don’t even trust their quality of piercing jewelry. The one positive thing is that the front desk girl was very kind.

Just got my daith pierced at Lucky 13 and had a fabulous experience. The woman that behind the counter that helped us was extremely personable and helpful! She was amazing! I went here to get my first tattoo and i loved the experience! From the get go when i walked in it felt like a really great atmosphere. Everyone who i talked to were super chill and nice. Matt did my tattoo and he did an amazing job, he was really funny and made the time go by fast. They gave me a good price on my tattoo and I will for sure be going back there to get another one!

I had a great experience getting my 1st tattoo thanks to Dan aka Deathbag took care of me and did an outstanding job on my tattoo.

I generally love this place and have gotten majority of my piercings here, however, be weary of their hours. I called around 8:20 PM saying I’d be there in 20 minutes and asked if they’d be able to see me, she said that it should be fine and to just get there as fast as I could. I got there in under 15 to see a sign that said they were done with piercings for the night. I called and explained that I had JUST talked to someone and asked if there was anyway that they could see me considering I only needed a piercing changed AND THAT I JUST CALLED and they blew me off. *If you stop piercings clients at 8:30 not 9, then change your hours to 8:30 and tell me that when I call*. I do not appreciate having my time wasted.

I went in for a nose piercing, and it was amazing. Its a super clean environment, and the employees really know what they’re talking about. I got pierced by Mikey, she was super calm which made my anxiety calm down. The piercing was super quick, and surprisingly super super painless... 10/10 would recommend for being pierced for the first time☺️

After reading the amount of high quality reviews, I really wanted to love this place- various friends of mine have even raved of their experiences. I visited for a spine tattoo on 5/30. The front-desk staff was very helpful, they assisted in typing up the quote I wanted and making sure everything was right before handing it off to the artist. The artist confirmed the quote was correct before starting and every single word was there. However, when finished, the first word was missing and the entire tattoo was crooked. I contacted the business to discuss some sort of correction and have never heard back.

L customer service!👎 lady came out about 25 mins of me standing out in line and said there was a sign out front stating that they weren’t accepting anymore piercers and pointed to the couple in front of me and said “she’s last”, there wasn’t a sign out prior to us getting in line.. and i was having a conversation with the female in line in front of me (prior to that worker coming out) stating how the customer service here is so bad. i feel like she would have told me if she was the last one in line as well since we were making convo. the piercers don’t actually interact with the customers. i don’t believe that sign was out there, but even if why wouldn’t they take just one more customer? it was only 7:45

Had two dermal done today by Nina. She is absolutely amazing. She has a wonderful personality and did a great job. Will definitely be returning. Nina is highly recommended

Have been coming here for years with no problem - just got a tattoo done a week ago and its having clear signs of infection - i followed all the after care as i have many tattoos and am aware of how to take care of them and this just really lets me down.

This place is terrible. Never go here they infected my face and I had to see 2 doctors to get rid of it. You’d be better off using a sewing needle and an ice cube. Take my advice

Got my nasal septum and my smilie pierced. My daughter got the same along with her belly button. I have had zero complaints personally. They’re clean, professional, respectful, and they connect with customers. They kinda give you the feel as if they are family in there. I love the atmosphere

Quick and easy piercings, staff has good vibes about them, my snake bites were done so nicely! I also appreciate the time to tell me about the care for my piercings, and the front clerk helped me pick out hoops that would fit nicely. I recommend here for your next piercing!

Today we were serviced by a artist named Jason, who pierced my daughters nose. Jason was very nice and had an amazing sense of humor. I will Definitely recommend him. 10/10

I got my belly button pierced by a very nice worker. I did not get her name, but she was young and had colored hair. She was helpful, informative, quick, and overall nice. The facility was nice and clean. Would come again and recommend.

Overall, piercers are respectful and helpful. They get you in and out of the shop efficiently. However, they will pierce even if you do not the anatomy for the piercing. An industrial pierced here had to be removed because it pushed on the middle of the ear. If anatomy was considered, the piercing wouldn’t have been done. The jewelry here is externally threaded surgical steel, which is not necessarily good quality. Quality jewelry types are gold or implant grade titanium, and internally threaded.I wouldn’t trust this place if you want jewelry quality, or an anatomy dependent piercing such as an industrial. However, I do go here because I don’t react poorly to steel, and I already know what I can and can’t get based on my ear’s anatomy.

The costumer service is horrible. My mom took me for my birthday to get my industrial piercing and when one sir that work there ask for us to lock the door, which we didn’t know how but we tried to a lady with green hair rudely came over and did it the. Walked away with an attitude. A little later he came back and asked us to open the door and which we did the lady tells us to to stop unlocking the door, and when we tried to as plain she kept cutting us off.

Always have the best experiences here. Everyone is super friendly and outgoing. The overall environment is super welcoming and comforting. Expect a little longer wait times on weekends, which is normal for a shop that does both walk ins and appointments. I have gotten tattooed multiple times at Lucky 13 and every single time everyone has showed patience and make sure Im happy with what I get and comfortable the entire time. Ethan Pease is my favorite artist there and he always does an amazing job.

Got my nose pierced by Mickey about a week ago and it was a great experience. She was very nice, fast, and did a really good job. It’s healing so well, there was no bleeding or swelling at all, and everyone I know with a nose piercing has told me they’re surprised how well it’s healing (especially considering I have type one diabetes so I’m more prone to complications). Definitely planning on going back to get more piercings done by Mickey!

Jason and Ian are the best piercers in the world! Quick, easy and always perfect! Ive gone there for all my piercings and they are always so sweet and gentle. Wouldnt go anywhere else!

I got my septum done today and I was really anxious about it. I only have my earlobes pierced and dont have any tattoos so I was not sure what the process would be/how much it would hurt. Mikey did my piercing and was absolutely amazing.I think they could tell I was nervous because they talked me through each step and it was over before I knew it. I normally dont leave reviews but I really appreciated how kind and patient Mikey was with me.

Lucky 13 is an amazing place to go get a tattoo! The staff is is super friendly and helpful, all the artist there are very knowledgeable and truthful. Its a great environment that feels very comfortable. I love the fact that you can walk in and get a tattoo that same day. The artist that did my work was Angel. I highly recommend him, and I’m definitely getting more work done from him!

Ive been to this location twice now! Once to get my septum pierces and the other to get my nipples pierced. First walking in, it had a very good vibe and the piercer was extremely friendly, comforting, and informative throughout the process. He did a great job getting a good spot on my septum and he did it very quickly! He also did a great job on my nipple piercings, they were very even, and done quickly! (Didnt even bleed, and I think that shows how well he did!) I plan to go for a tattoo and more piercings in the future Im sure!

Ive seen reviews about how the staff here was rude, but I was greeted with nothing but kindness and warmth from the second I walked in the door. The only negative part of my experience getting a piercing here is that, after greeting me, the piercer stood with his back to me (I think he was on his phone) for like 2 and a half minutes before getting started on my piercing. Other than that tiny detail, the staff was so sweet and everything went well! And for 20 bucks? Cant complain haha

My friend and I went for walk-in piercings (septum and lower helix), was in and out very quickly despite the shop being very very busy. Was clean, professional, and super fast! The piercings have healed very nicely as well, definitely recommend.
