Regretful Heart Laser Tattoo Removal

I have been working with Venus for my tattoo removal for quite some time now, and I can honestly say she is absolutely amazing! Her knowledge and expertise in laser removal are outstanding. From the very first session, she made me feel comfortable and confident in the process, explaining every step in detail. Venus has a calming and professional demeanor, and her passion for what she does truly shines through. Not only is she meticulous with her work, ensuring the best results, but she is also an incredibly kind and genuine person. Each visit feels more like catching up with a friend while receiving top-notch treatment. I highly recommend Venus for anyone looking for laser removal services—she is simply the best!

Jessie is absolutely incredible. Very professional. You can also tell how much time and care was put in putting the space together. I came to Regretful Heart in July of 2023. I did a quick consultation with Jessie and had my first session that same day. Jessie confidently asserted that she could fully remove my tattoo without any side effects, even going as far as to say I wouldnt need more than 5 sessions. Those were my expectations with her treating my skin. I inquired specifically about the possibility of any kind of scarring. Based on her assessment, Jessie assured me I had no reason to believe I would experience that or any other side effects. That was the extent of her “discussing the risks in length” and the notion that I signed the waiver under. Unfortunately, after a couple of sessions, my skin developed hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation. This became very concerning given the prior assessment. Jessie informed me that these side effects eventually went away. However, my skin’s condition only worsened as I did more and more sessions. I inquired on several occasions to see if anything about my treatment plan needed to be reevaluated given the circumstances. I was told to just continue with the aftercare like I had been doing and to “trust the process” because the pigmentation would resolve itself. I decided to consult with other removal professionals and several dermatologists for more insight. All of the dermatologists that I went to informed me that treatments should have stopped immediately at the first sight of pigmentation loss. After meeting with almost all of the removal businesses in Richmond, I now know it’s not common at all to develop the level of hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation that I have. Several of the removal businesses advised against the current continuation of laser treatments for the time being. The skin damage looked to be caused by too high settings of the laser. In addition, it was concluded that 5-6 weeks was too short of an interval for the skin to heal in between sessions given its current condition. I brought this up to Jessie and I was never answered as to why my sessions were scheduled so closely together, just that I could extend the time between sessions. While I understand that removal cases vary for each individual, I was disappointed with the unrealistic expectations that were conveyed and how my case was not reevaluated when the regression of my skin became apparent. At that point, I did not feel comfortable continuing treatment sessions. My last session with Jessie was in April of this year. It has now been 5 months since I stopped laser treatment on my tattoo and my skin has still shown no signs of improvement. I respectfully asked for a full refund of $1.5k and Jessie thought it was unreasonable. I do not believe it is unreasonable to request a full refund when the services that were promised were not received. My tattoo is not removed and my skin has severely regressed since coming to Regretful Heart. I, along with numerous professionals, think that these side effects could have been avoided given a more conservative treatment plan. I am currently working with multiple dermatologists to address the regression of my skin which is very costly. I did not request Jessie to cover any of these expenses, I only asked for a refund of the sessions I paid for which I feel is most appropriate at this stage. Jessie was willing to do a partial refund of $400 until it came time to send the refund. Now she plans to refund $324 because that is what is left over from the sessions that were done. She has been discussing the $400 refund amount with me for over two months. For her to not uphold her own word now is very misleading. Regardless, it has been almost 3 weeks and I have not been sent a refund of any amount. I feel that Jessie has handled this whole situation very unprofessionally. I have included a picture of my tattoo that was taken right before I started my first session. The other photo is how it looks today (seven sessions after). I encourage others to consult with multiple professionals and seek their tattoo removal services elsewhere.

I just finished hopefully my last PMU session with Jessica, and she is so sweet and knowledgeable, and realistic with results. She dispelled a lot of misconceptions I had about the practice and I only needed three sessions total. I only wish I’d done it sooner!

I completed my 1st round of laser removal for permanent makeup (brows) about 8 weeks ago. Jessie was very sweet, and answered all my questions. Yes it’s uncomfortable, but the numbing helps a ton and she was done in only a few short minutes. The results were so drastic the first go around, my mouth literally dropped to the ground. (She did explain to me the outcome/sessions needed will vary dependent on the person/ technique and ink used beforehand). If youre on the fence, go for it. 1000% worth the investment & looking forward to our 2nd session next week! :-)

Cheyenne is thorough, knowledgeable, and goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable. Also super flexible and fair pricing! Whole thing took only a couple minutes and Im so glad I chose Regretful Heart as opposed to some chain.

I’ve never really been taken care of by a laser technician until coming here.I was previously visiting Removery; bit of a scam.Over there you pay monthly for laser removal that hurts like all hell and does not visibly lift the tattoo even after multiple sessions.Got a refund and brought my business here to Chyanne.Night and day.Of course all laser tattoo removal hurts; but here I can actually handle the pain without letting loose a string of curses the entire time.And the lift. Oh man. Significant lift after every single session.Not to mention she’s a total sweetheart. Encourages me the entire time I’m being zapped 🥹🌸Thanks as always Chyanne!!!

I met Cheyenne for a consultation at Regretful Heart and after a brief but clear explanation of the process and expectations, we decided to go ahead a do the initial laser removal session. The session itself lasted only minutes and Cheyenne talked me through the entire process, clearly answering the few questions I had. These reviews are skewed. Not everyone gives 5 stars when you look online. They’re out of touch with reality and how certain circumstances like a deadly vehicle accident that shut down traffic is the reason why you are late. Their fees are higher compared to other places as well.

I’ve been lasered a few times now by Chyanne and she made it a very comfortable environment and informative experience for someone who hadn’t ever been lasered prior, definitely recommend going there for all your tattoo removal needs!

Not only does Jess do a lot of wonderful pro-bono work for people in need (former incarcerated people looking to remove facial tattoos, brands on victims of abuse, etc), her abilities with a laser are incredible. I am a tattoo artist who’s referred people with dark, blobby tattoos to her so I could cover them up, and I’ve seen absolutely amazing results with even just a session or two. So grateful for her services!

If I could give more stars, I fully would! Jessie is such an absolute joy to work with. She is knowledgeable about the process, shares that knowledge in a way that is easy to understand (and eases any fear/anxiety) and provides such a calm, safe atmosphere! I was referred to Regretful Heart by Ivy at Atelier since I wasn’t happy about my previous microblading. I didn’t like the shape and the ink had turned red so she recommended laser removal with Jessie. Jessie is a sweetheart. She explained everything at the consultation and I had looked at her IG portfolio so I decided to get my first session on the spot. The zapping was pretty painful and it felt sore for a few hours, but didn’t hurt after the first day. It did turn my skin red and peel like a sunburn. Jessie explained that the first session would make the red ink turn dark gray, and the second session would get rid of it completely. If you have dark hair this will not be obvious. Like, no one noticed mine. And I liked the gray better than the red. I’m almost at the 5 week mark and pumped to see Jessie again- will post an update soon :)
