I’ve been in for 2 walk-ins with Chris now and I am super stoked with his work. He’s a great guy to be around and you will definitely leave the shop laughing and with some awesome ink. Shoutout to Chris, you’re awesome!! (Both tattoos done by Chris, flying frog is fully healed)

Bryan Wheaton does all of my work and he is amazing! Gives a great price and always super nice. I lay in the sun 24/7 and all of my tattoos have held up really nice over the years. Everyone always asks me where I get my work done and I always tell them to go see Bryan.

My visit was great! Covid-19 put a delay on things but they were prompt in rescheduling and keeping me updated on any changes. Laid back environment with pleasant people. Jason and his shop are top notch.

I booked here with zach for my first tattoo and he did such an amazing job. i am so satisfied with my tattoo! the line work was amazing and zach is a very nice person overall!! i would 100% recommend this shop and will definitely be coming back!! :)

Amazing tattoo shop thats conveniently located downtown. Very clean and the artists are awesome. Brittany Underwood did mine. I think she has some of the best line work around!

Just got a couple tattoos done today and had a great experience. Zach was awesome and did really great lines on a small flower. Loved the vibe of the shop. The guys doing work were singing and having a blast the whole time. Laid back but still super professional. Will be back for sure.

I have had Jason do all my tattoos. He is an amazing artist, very professional, and the entire staff are extremely friendly. Don’t be dissuaded by the couple of bad reviews. This is a custom only shop who will give you honest feedback on your requests in order to make sure they give you an amazing tattoo! It’s worth the wait, just schedule an appointment.

Jason is a phenomenal artist. Been going to him for 10 yrs and drive from Myrtle Beach to have work done. Very professional and accommodating staff. The studio is inviting and bright unlike most tattoo shop where its dark and can be a little sketchy. Highly recommend giving them a call if your looking to get your first piece of art done or adding more.

I have not personally used this business yet but I had a misunderstanding. The owner and the staff, Zach and Brian took a lot of abuse from me that they should not have. I am deeply sorry and ashamed for the way I treated all of them. I hope they will still let us do business with them. They came highly recommended. I again am truly sorry but appreciate your professionalism when you had to deal with me.

I took a trip to Roanoke and randomly found this shop downtown which was literally across the street from the hotel we stayed at. I decided on 2 more nights in town and asked for an appointment in which I was accommodated for the next afternoon. Charlie did my tattoo and the shading is awesome with the line work. Ive gotten many compliments and Im pleased with the results thus far. I tried over a year to schedule this, but Covid took a lot from us all, and I feel it was meant to be for this trip. Thank you, Charlie, for giving me a little bit of Virginia to take home with me!!🤗🥰🧚🏽‍♀️

Charlie was my artist and I cannot tell you how fantastic it was to work with him. My experience happened today. I was greeted by everyone when I came in. And Charlie struck up a conversation with me on what I wanted and I didnt realize I wanted to get my idea on my arm today but damn it happened (haha). The vibe is unreal and I felt comfortable the whole time.Very clean and professional shop. Im actually impressed with how clean it is considering Ive been to several places that didnt look nice inside. Price was definitely fair, even if it was higher it was worth the experience. He was more interested in what I wanted more than just telling me how much hed charge so it felt nice to know that I was important. This was my first tattoo in Roanoke City and Im glad I chose True Craft. Please go visit them. Definitely worth it.

So much talent in this shop. Clean and professional. Bryan is a friend of mine and I have plenty of tattoos from him but would trust everyone in this shop to give me a great tattoo. Well worth the price for a clean, professional, comfortable atmosphere.

By word of mouth qnd photos I fell in love with Jasons work. I first went to add on to a single flower and asked Jason to add on to that, he did amazing line work but did not connect the tattoos like I asked. Disappointed, I still loved his work so I asked to have it finished into a half sleeve. I was very nervous because he did not listen to my request the first time, yet I still trusted him to make it into a sleeve like I wanted. I waited 30 mins to talk to Jason and schedule an appointment. I was very clear in the meeting and even more in the email almost begging that my main request is to have the tattoos flow together and he made it seem like no issue.... confused on how you can tell the customer you will do the half sleeve without even viewing the tattoo & exact location youre adding to confused me. Very anxious to see what he drew up, I came in and his stencil did not even touch the tattoos I asked for the piece to be connected to. That same day I was told I wasnt clear what on what I wanted.... I cried my eyes out because I was already so anxious and tried so hard to let him know what I wanted because he made me feel comfortable and not afraid to let my artist know what I wanted like I have felt before with other artist... but to agree to a $450 over priced tattoo because im confident in my artist and expressed my concern about what I wanted and for Jason to make me feel like its my fault is absolutely pathetic. He gave no care about my preference or my concerns. He said I have to tell them and set up a meeting to do a sleeve which is EXACTLY what I requested when I first came in. I have never ever been so disappointed in the customer service I received.... I understand being an artist that you may only be comfortable doing certain things the service and excuses I received will forever be burned in my memory... I was already so nervous so made sure I was so clear.. I just have never ever been made a fool of qs a customer like the way Jason made me feel. When he showed me the stencil on my arm it did not even touch the tattoos I asked for it to me connected to, I expressed for the 3rd time that I wanted a full half sleeve connected and he made it as if I did not ask for that... in reality he was busy the time I came to talk to him and instead of asking me to come back he did what ever he wanted instead of scheduling a time with me to create a piece with me... TWO days before my rescheduled appointment he told me he refused to do my tattoo and only refunded half my tattoo.... Ive never had a business make me cry so much qnd make me feel so vulnerable. If you only want to do certain things maybe you should only do the personal work you prefer to do instead of taking money from people THEN deciding you dont want to do the tattoo.... I thought this could maybe be a misunderstanding but I have heard from atleast 2 other people of Jason (the owner) agreeing to a certain design then completely making his own design.. I understand that but its ridiculous how selfish this artist is. If your that picky you should only have a flash sheet for people to pick from because Ive never seen a business care so little about a customers opinion, and I think in the tattoo industry thats when our opinion should really matter... did not even recieve an apology and he did not care about my concerns or feelings about something that would be on my body forever. I wish I would have just been told no in the beginning instead of losing time and money on a professional who doesnt care about his customers.... im still very upset and dont even have the confidence to talk to another artist because of how Jason made me feel...

Called & they said it would be a small wait, got there within 5 minutes & the artist kept telling me he was almost finished with the tattoo he was working on. He kept stopping the tattoo to check his phone repeatedly. After 25+ minutes he finished up after saying it would be a little wait. Came over to me & asked about what I wanted then another guy came in & he left me & went straight to him & was talking to him about a tattoo he was getting, was very rude, stood & talked to him while i was waiting, which I had been waiting for 35+ minutes by then. I will not be going back. When i finally walked out he yelled out of the door “see ya later”.. very rude & unprofessional. He needed to worry a little less about his cell phone & a little more about his paying customers. This place doesn’t deserve any stars. Definitely not recommend.

Zach did an amazing tattoo. He was able to come up with a design that was really good. It was better then the image I had in my head!

Charlie needs to come back. Was not pleased with Christophers unprofessional behavior between overbooking and canceling my appointment in favor of a walk-in customer :( came for my first tattoo wont be back. Ill be taking my 3k elsewhere lol their lossTheir reply just proved my point. My wife and I will be taking our business elsewhere.

Came in today got a rose tattoo on my front lower leg when the tattoo artist got done the tattoo was amazing the best tattoo i have ever had before the gentlemen was nice and friendly and took his time i would highly recommend this shop if your looking to get any tattoos the price of the tattoo was a good price a very professional tattoo artist

Very unprofessional he had double booked himself said he would still have time for the 3 clients he had made the appointment for after the first two and at 5 pm said the last one could come in and then immediately started to shut down his station while she was on the way to him
