Emerald Tattoo & Piercing - Roseville

My go to spot for all my tattoos. Great atmosphere inside and such a cute little spot inside and out. I have participated in two of their Friday the 13 events and I’ll most likely keep going every time. They are organized, professional, fun and have great art to chose from. My artist is always Drew, just luck of the draw on these events and by choice on other occasions and he’s not only a great artist but such a down to earth person. If you’re interested in this spot I’d highly recommend him. Shout out to Taryn for great communication and organized booking! You can call and text for information and they always respond. You cant go wrong with this spot.

I have a few tattoos but got my first one from emerald recently, and they are by far the best! they worked with what i was wanting, saw my vision, and were very thorough! my artist, john, was super friendly and accommodating (i was a little picky about placement and i needed a break once) so that was really nice. and my tattoo looks great and is healing nicely! i have plans to come back soon!

I’ve gotten piercings done by James and he’s very direct about the procedure and makes you feel comfortable. Answers any questions you may have and communicates very well. I’ve also gotten tattooed by Ralph and he’s also great at making sure the design you want is exactly how you want it. I will be seeing them very soon to continue the work on my leg :) 10/10 recommend !

I was at Emerald tattoo&piercing in roseville for the Friday 13th piercing special which was $13 or 2 for $25, i got four done both my nostrils and then spider bites for $50. I got there at 11(not knowing they opened at 10) and the process was very smooth. Walked in put my name on the list, filled out the forum and handed them my id. Then i had to wait the wait was about two hours but that is to be expected for this type of deal. Once it was my turn the piercing had all the stuff ready. He was really nice and understanding. After my first nostril was done asked if i needed a second or to go straight to it, asked the same thing for my spider bites. This was my first time go there and I have found my new piercing place. I will defiantly will be going back ones these heal to get my industrial done.

I have to give a HUGE shoutout to Jesse for his amazing work on my left arm. He was able to rework and finish the forearm (which was the beginning of a coverup I had started years ago by someone else) and blend it seamlessly and beautifully into a new water line at the elbow and into the space scene above (which also included another coverup on the shoulder). This dude is seriously talented, super professional, and provided the best tattoo experience beginning to end I’ve ever had. I drove to Roseville from Merced and it was definitely worth the trip every time. If you’re anywhere near the Sacramento or Central Valley area and are looking for large scale color (or anything else really - check out his other work) - Jesse is your guy! I’ll definitely be going back for more.Also have to shout out Taryn the manager for all of her help as well. Setting up the consultation was super easy and Taryn was always very professional and a great energy to have around the shop.

Great experience! The staff were all very nice, knowledgeable and talented. I got my nose pierced there and it was such a breeze. James is great at calming you down right before the needle goes in. They gave great recommendations about how to clean and the healing process. If I get another piercing or tattoo, I will be coming back to Emerald Tattoo & Piercing. I highly recommend them. AND it only cost me $20. $15 for the piercing and $5 tip.

Piercer, James was VERY good! He pierced so fast & told you what he was doing step by step. He seemed knowledgeable & experienced. My daughter & I both got the daith pierced, & she also got her nose pierced.The woman at the front desk is AMAZING (her name escapes me, sorry)! She was very knowledgeable, funny & answered all our questions. She made it a fun experience! Prices are low & they plan to keep it that way. Thats why customers come back! We definitely will!

Super happy with my experience. My artist was Drew, I came in with a strong idea of what I wanted but Drew turned it into a tattoo instead of just an idea. Everyone I interacted with was super kind and respectful.My skin likes to lose ink quite a bit during the healing process but my tattoo is still incredibly vibrant after healing. Im definitely going to be returning for more tattoos from Drew in the future.

Jesse not only inked the best tattoo I have, he provided the best tattoo experience. Im grateful for both, and Ill be back for more. I cant recommend him or the shop enough.

The facility is clean, the staff is great, and I love the whole vibe. Drew is an absolutely incredible artist. I got lucky that he was available for a walk-in, he helped me pick the right size for the design I wanted, and he was very considerate. The color work is amazing, I cant get over how vibrant it is. 10/10, I love this shop.

Called with the intention of fixing my boo boo with removing an industrial piercing just a day after it had been done and being unable to put it back through. Called out of worry that I had messed up severely and was told they’d try to help out.In and out in five minutes fixed up and industrial back in place. (For good I swear!) Welcoming staff and amazing little spot! 10/10 would get pierced by them if I’m in the area.

The tattoo itself is decent but the experience of getting the consultation and scheduling a month out, only to have the receptionist be rude when you ask how long the wait is for your artist (after waiting 40 minutes) is kinda insane. Then for the tattoo artist to come downstairs after an hour and 20 minutes only to ask you what we are doing.... Just a loss for words. Why even book the consultation if you arent going to render a sketch up?

My 8 year old wanted his ears pierced. We talked about it for weeks to be sure he was sure. When we got there he was super anxious that it was going to hurt and was almost backing out. Our piercer was named James and he was super patient and gentle and definitely helped make the experience a positive one!!

Drew was the epitome of perfection with my thigh piece, from concept to completion he was a truly compassionate human and gifted artist. I will be going no where else from now on and am beyond excited for the next phase of my leg!

I spend a lot of time here and have had multiple tattoos, both small and large projects with Trevor. I have also had a bunch of piercings with James. Staff is awesome. I love all of my pieces and get tons of compliments. I have another appointment to finish up a leg sleeve and start another piece soon!

Emerald Roseville is a great place to work with. I’ve gotten piercing jewelry there and I got my first tattoo there from Trevor. From consultation to procedure, it was an amazing experience. Their staff is friendly, their work is great, and their prices are affordable (and they’re upfront about the prices, too). I will 100% be going back for my next one.

Best piercing experience EVER. I’ve been pierced at two other shops in the last two years and this is genuinely the best place I’ve been. I got my second helix piercing done and it barely hurt and barely swelled. Everyone in the shop is super nice and explains things thoroughly to ensure the process is as smooth as possible. ON TOP of all that, there prices are amazing! Definitely will return!

Got hurt by Ralph for 2 hours, love the art that I left with. Took care of mine and my wifes 10 year anniversary tattoos, while scheduling us enough time to swap the kids between parents. Nice little set up, great staff, and as clean as your doctors office. They also have a get what you get machine that always tempts me on a bored Saturday. Edit: updated with a picture of the healed tattoo. Flawless.

Great place, great prices. Went to have my girlfriends ears pierced and she decided she wanted to get her nose and tongue done and I also had my lip pierced. They gave us great after care information. James was very patient and precise when it came down to the appropriate placement of each piercing and hes was very organized.

My son and I went in to get a couple of piercings. Everyone there was polite and awesome! The piercer James was amazing. He was so polite and explained what we needed to know and answered all of our questions. The piercings were quick! I highly recommend Emerald tattoo & piercing shop!

I went to get my septum pierced back in December and had a strange experience with both the front desk and the piercer. He did not talk about my anatomy or even pierce my septum in the right spot. After leaving I immediately noticed that it was pierced diagonally. I walked back in to ask because it was bad and the front desk girl told me that 50% of people come back thinking that they were pierced wrong due to swelling. (If this is the case, maybe the piercer should tell people). However, I believe hes just careless about piercing placement. And she didnt say this nicely, she was condescending and acting like I was dumb to get me to leave quickly. Fast forward. I went to a new piercer, not only was my piercing done diagonally, it was also placed very low. They were shocked at how poorly it was done. So..... I was right it wasnt because of swelling. Id get my money back if I could. DONT GET PIERCED HERE!

Very well organized and very clean tattoo shop. Safe and sanitary conditions are used and applied to equipment. They do accept walk-ins for piercings and tattoos when available. Appointments are recommended for larger tattoos. Reception will recommend the right artist for the work you want done. Everyone is very nice and friendly and so far experience with two tattoo artists doing a great job! Ill attach photos when my art is completed!

I went there to get a piercing today, it’s my birthday too, what a memorable bday. I asked for 2 helix piercings on different ears. And the guy said: you can’t do that on both side. Like what do you mean you can’t get both of your ears pierced??? And I had helix piercings before they didn’t bleed or hurt at all, but when I got this one it was non stop bleeding, and it hurt so bad i had to go to the ER to get it check out.The doctor told me the guys pierced my blood vessels that’s why it was non stop bleeding. As a piercer with a license, he didn’t double check with me where I wanted my piercings, and he pierced my lower helix where there is barely any cartilage to pierce. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL ARE YOU?? To warn you guys, please go to a professional place. They might charge you more but better get your ear ripped. I’m planning on getting lawsuits if my ear is permanently damaged.

One of my piercing studs got stripped and I last minute found this place for replacement jewelry and I’m so happy with my experience. I got there like 30 minutes before they closed and yet my process was not rushed and everyone was very kind and chill. I did have to use their atm for cash (charges you a fee for using it) so I do recommend bringing cash. They have a good sized parking behind the building too. I plan to go back in the future for tattoos and maybe even more piercings because the vibe there was lovely. Thank you guys!

After 4 years of a bad septum piercing experience and not having it anymore, I knew I really wanted to get it done again. I just moved out to Citrus Heights, found this place and basically ran inside to a very welcoming woman at the front desk that lead me to a sweet and awesome piercer, James. He just casually talked to me while going through the whole process. Most amazing and calming experience ever. Thank you guys for everything. Been recommending to everyone this place that want piercings ever since! Will be coming back for future services!

I just got a cover up tattoo of a purple hyper realism rose with leaves on my ankle by Jesse, and he did such a beautiful job, I absolutely love it so much its perfect and so realistic and as a cover up its just amazing. I recommend him to anyone even if its not for a cover up, Ive recently had quite a few tattoos due and so far he is the best Ive been. Thanks Jesse.

I’ve been coming here quite frequently in 2021. Everything about this place is amazing! I have tattoo work done from Drew and Trevor and they both do absolutely stellar work with a clean and sanitary environment and truly make sure the clients needs are met. I also got my eyebrow pierced by James and he was extremely informative, professional, and sanitary during the process and it was super easy. Taryn the manager is absolutely wonderful to work with too and does a great job! Highly recommend!

Ralph was outstanding in every way! This was my second tattoo, and they really relaxed and made me feel at home. He was really helpful and went above and above for me. Taryn is incredibly kind and competent. Definitely suggestable Also, very competitive pricing.

Came in for a septum piercing walk-in, front desk manager was very attentive and kind. I let them know my legal name did not match my chosen name and they were very accepting, and mentioned it was no problem at all. Piercer was very well experienced and kept me calm all throughout. Quick and painless, and super cheap (but also amazing service)! Make sure to leave a good tip, they deserve it.

I had gotten a nostril piercing 3 weeks ago! I am so happy with the results. The establishment was very clean and organized. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming! My piercer James was fast and efficient, and explained as he went along doing the piercing. The piercing took less than 30 seconds and with barely any pain! I was really impressed with his skill.I am also really impressed that you can actually text Emerald Tattoo & Piercing with any questions about your piercing and their quick responses!Im really inexperienced with piercings as the only others I have are my ear lobes and those were done when I was a baby, so as my piercing is healing I had noticed some changes in the past few days. They always let me know that I could stop in and ask James to look at it. I thought that I had an infection, but he assured me that I did not and I was just irritating my piercing the way that I am cleaning it. So I am switching things up per his recommendations. Its been a day and I already see some improvement! He is super friendly, and very knowledgeable.I really enjoyed my experiences here, and if I plan to ever get any more piercings, this would be the place Id go to. The price for the piercing was very reasonable also! 10/10 would recommend! You wont be disappointed. :)

Ive had piercings and tattoos done at both the Elk Grove and Roseville location. Roseville has become my go to. Ive been tattooed by Jesse and Drew, and a female artist, but I lost her card so cant recall her name, and pierced by James. All were awesome. Shop is clean and everyone there is fun and pleasant.

Really sweet girls! Got my double nostrils done today and had the best experience. Was super excited to come with my best friend to get our first tattoos together! Place was clean and professional and also comfortable. Everyone working was helpful and polite and Ralph did awesome work on our back to back tattoos and gave great aftercare advice. Ill be coming back here hopefully for a piercing and another tattoo soon.

My sister and I just came in for our second (and third in her right ears case) lobe piercings two days ago, and it was a phenomenal experience. I was anxious by the time my turn came up, but Taylor did an amazing job of putting me at ease and making me feel like my health and comfort were being well cared for. On top of that every part of the store feels clean and pleasant to be in, and the prices are super great. Were definitely going back again for our next piercings!

Went here on Friday the 13th for their $13 piercings and had the best experience! I got 2 cartilage piercings that look great and the piercer here is a cool, nice guy. Definitely would recommend going here.

This place is the friendliest place Ive ever been! Juliana is extremely welcoming and always smiling! She even got me consultation while I was waiting to get pierced!!! Six of us girls in our family went in to get our nose pierced, the staff was so accommodating personal and encouraging to first time body part piercing, clean environment,. Comfortable seating area and they were fast and efficient the pricing was right on as Im from Oregon and they wanted to charge 90 bucks for one piercing, with all of us it was 90 plus tips its been over 4 days now and my nose and everybody elses nose is looking good and healing great.

My friends and I each got a piercing with James! A bridge, two eyebrows, and a nostril. All were placed perfectly and the piercer was super friendly. Very quick and easy. ☺️💖

John did a tattoo of a butterfly on my wrist. He was super nice and helpful especially because I was super nervous because it was my first tattoo. I went to him specifically for the fine line type of tattoo and I got exactly that. The lines are super clean and thin which look amazing. He was also really nice about answering all of my questions because I had a lot.

Great spot to get a piercing. I came here in October, Inused the chat on the website to ask some questions as well as see if an appointment was needed, which they said wasnt necessary. I arrived and was attended immediately. Filling in my info took longer than the piercing. I got a double conch (same side). They had some jewelry to choose from so I was glad to get some sparkly AB crystals that way it looks prettier as it heals and I wait to change the jewelry. Everyone was friendly, place was clean, the building is a cute converted house in a good location in Downtown Roseville. The piercings are affordably priced with some jewelry upgrades available, the place and people are professional, friendly, clean and service was super quick. I was able to call in an order for take out at the Roundhouse Deli, get a few piercings, and pick up my tacos, still hot, all in about 30 to 45 minutes including the drive. I will definitely go back for more piercings. :)

It was my first time at this shop today and I am so glad I came here for the dermals I had been wanting for years! I stopped by the shop yesterday to get some information on the procedure and they made me feel so comfortable and gave great advice. Mitch did an amazing job piercing me and made it as painless as possible! Juliana was very sweet and informative. I will most definitely stop by again for another piercing (and a tattoo eventually as well)!

Just had two piercings done here! Irene who did them did a fabulous job, I was super nervous and she made me feel so comfortable! Quick, easy, and painless! Got my nose and tongue done! The guy at the counter Alex, was awesome too and it was a very relaxed atmosphere! Will be coming back!

Friendly welcome from Juliana , who is very customer service oriented . Jesse is artist extraordinaire, his work is definitely gallery worthy. Mitch performed with the professional hands of skilled surgeon. Trevor does phenomenal work and Josh as well. Roseville is definitely lucky to have these amazing artists. It feels comfortable yet hygienic, paid over 100$ just to get there by taxi, it was worth it. See yall soon.

This place is so awesome. They were super friendly , and they answered every question I had in a polite manner. The guy who pierced me was super cool and made me feel so much more comfortable. I had my nose pierced prior to this but it fell out and got closed. These guys did 10x better then the first people who did my nose. I suggest this place for anyone who wants a piercing!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Took my 7 year old to get her ears pierced. Everyone was welcoming and attentive to her. She felt like a Rockstar. It process was quick and easy. The piercer told her what he was going to do, and explained to us how to carr for her ears. Wonderful experience!

Came all the way from Stockton for a half sleeve by Jesse. I was not disappointed. From the vibe of the place, to the art laid down on my arm, it was all top notch.Each artists has their own private room they work out of which made it real comfortable settling in to get worked on. Jesse’s room was chill. Decked with his own paintings, big TV to watch during the session and tons of his personal hobby stuff. The dude was easy to talk with and knocked out some excellent work in the process. His hand is light and he brought tons of creative ideas to the table that certainly enhanced the tattoo. I plan to get more tattoos, both sleeves, and I think I may be going to Jesse the rest of the way. Legit!!!!

Went here for the Friday the 13th piercing special back in Sept. Very clean and professional. The staff was very helpful and explained the options available that specific day. The wait was very very long, but that was to be expected. Staff offered refreshments and snacks because of the long wait time. The piercer was very professional and used clean one time use needles and opened them in front of me. I got a lobe piercing. I wanted an industrial too, but the piercer only allows cartilage piercings if you have the correct anatomy to support that type of piercing. The piercer examined my ears and determined that I did not have the correct ear anatomy, but explained why and that helped put me at ease. They also do childrens ears so you dont take your kids to the mall and let someone use a piercing gun which is very unsanitary. Check them out if you or your kids want to get ears pierced!

Super nice new piercer! Went here about a year and a half ago and the piercer wasn’t the greatest but the new guy they have is the bomb! Definitely coming back! Also love the manager/person at the front desk! Always laughs!

After shopping around a bit for a new piercing and tattoo artwork parlor, I was happy to find this gem! A friend of mine had recommend after experiencing high quality ink work at their elk grove location. I live in elk grove and noticed some work done by an artist that transfered to the Roseville location so I drove out to Roseville to get a couple quotes. (I am the type to go out of my way or drive a little ways if it means I will be getting skilled artists/piercers and good customer service.) I have had bad luck at tattoo parlors in the past regarding poor customer service (which is VERY important to me) so it was quite a relief to know that the staff at Emerald Tattoos & Piercing was so kind/friendly and HIGHLY professional. Every one I came in contact with was very helpful and knowledgeable. Juliana the manager in front made me feel very welcome and introduced me to some of the artists for quotes. I was not rushed at all like I have been at other parlors, they seemed genuinely happy to answer any questions and guide me through the process. Truly focused on customer satisfaction! :) After scheduling some appointments for body art. I had a couple piercing done. I decided to go for it because the manager informed me that the piercer had 19 years of experience. (Either 19 or 16, dont quote me on that) either way it gave me confidence that the piercer knew what he was doing. The front room was very clean, cool, simple, modern decor. I was led to the piercing room, everything was very clean/sanitary as well. My piercer MITCH, was rad. Very professional, great personality and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. He explaining everything in detail including a few extra questions I had afterwards. The piercer took his time to make sure everything was aligned and ready but even so the entire process took just a couple minutes. Mitch got skills. Lol. After a good amount of searching, I believe I have finally found my new tattoo/piercing home. 😂 Looking forward to my upcoming tattoo sessions. Trevor did my tattoo. He did an amazing job. It was a tattoo in memory of a pet that recently passed away. He took it seriously and took his time with it and it turned out better than I could have hoped for. I will definitely be back there for more tattoos. I came here about three months ago close to the time they were closing and I am a very nervous person around needles. The piercer I met with was absolutely outstanding, her name was Taylor. She made me laugh and took the nervousness away. I got two piercings, Tragus and snug. Both were quick and painless. Coming back to get second nostril piercing and my boyfriends nose piercing done ASAP!

I got my septum done a little while ago and loved the experience! It was a clean and professional environment yet welcoming and friendly. The process itself was easy and so far I have had no issues whatsoever! Highly recommend :-D

Went in to get a half sleeve done by Jesse. Im not sure if its a shop thing or an artist thing but theyll charge you for creating your design and for all you new collectors that is not customary. So I was charged for 6 hours but was only inked for about 4 hours the other 2 hours was spent on prepping and consulting potential clients. Wouldve been fine if they would have told me beforehand. I scheduled a second session to finish up, Jesse recommended 5 hours but was done in 2.5 which is a good thing except after closer inspection at home I can tell he rushed it. There were parts where he just scratched away, will post a pic later. The worst part was I was quoted $120 an hour by the lady in front but was charged $375 for 2.5 hours I didnt care at that point I was just glad to be done even gave him a decent tip. Wouldnt recommend to anyone trying to get a large scale piece. Remember other places charge only for the ink time.

I really wanted to like this place but the quality of my small fine line tattoo is embarrassing. I need to have it touched up for uneven lines, blotchy ink and missed spots. I had to point out a section I noticed where lines that should have connected didnt after the artist said the piece was done. I shouldnt have to point this out to an expert. A curve was added to a section that should have met at a sharp point (that was NOT on the stencil) and a section that was supposed to have a smooth curve has a harsh angle. I went here specifically for fine line work since this was such a minimal piece and left so disappointed. Ill be going elsewhere for touchups and any future work.

From the outside the gothic witchy aesthetic really caught my eye and i enjoyed the architecture and the people inside are very thorough and polite as well as humorous, my piercing was painless and quick and looks amazing! 10/10 would return

Its hard to put into words... but I came in for a quick consultation and felt a little judged. Im 99.9% sure I was laughed at as I walked out. I dont think Ill be coming back to get my tattoo done here.

James was really nice and made me feel safe and comfortable for my piercings. It was quick and, well, not painless but thats what you get when you get a sensitive piercing. Will be returning for my next piercing for sure!
