Black Throne Collective Tattoo

Tommy, who is the owner of Black Throne, is unprofessional and lacks courage to be honest with potential customers. I saw his work and was really impressed so I messaged him and we started talking about my idea for a sleeve which I wanted him to have a ton of artistic freedom on. He seemed interested in working with me and even asked if I wanted to schedule an appointment. I said yes and asked a few follow up questions. Apparently, these questions made him disinterested in doing my tattoo because he stopped replying and had read my messages. Since that experience, Ive met with several other incredible artists who know Tommy and they told me not to take his ghosting personal: thats what he does when hes not interested in working with someone. He has the right to chose who and what he works on, but not having the courage to tell people is spineless. His professional page on Instagram is filled with him showing off his cars and boat, so needless to say hes self conscious and is compensating for something. All his artists left Black Throne which tells you a lot about his personality and professionalism. Thanks for wasting my time, Tommy. But also thanks for not taking me on, because I dont vibe well with people that are cocky due to low self esteem.

Mark has been tattooing me for about 10 years now and I am always 300% happy with the results. Every time I have a tattoo idea, he makes it 10x better than what I had in my head. He always considers my comfort and wants me to have a great time! Amanda is also amazing, and lovely to talk to. She makes booking super easy.The shop is clean and very well maintained. All the other artists Ive met there are great - super friendly and genuinely interested in your tattoo.

Mark is a great artist, he takes into consideration what you want done and his style of art is amazing! He works with your schedule and responds to messages pretty fast. Definitely coming back to have more work done.

David does great quality work. He is definitely at another level. Loved that he kept the conversations going while getting the work done. Im glad I made the drive down to STL for my piece. Will definitely be going back for more work.

Had my appointment booked for MONTHS.. paid my 200.00 deposit.. the day of my appointment Im driving there.. an hour before my appointment Mark cancels.. says he had a leak and flooding in his basement. (he did email me that morning around 9am but who frequently checks their emails???) I totally understand emergencies happen however my husband had to miss an entire day of pay that day to take off work and stay home with our kids no attempt to take any money off my next appointment or anything. Had I canceled an hour before my appointment he would have kept my deposit. Now Im still waiting for a refund. He says 5-7 business days.. well see. Their work looks phenomenal but their extreme unprofessionalism takes away from that.

Amazing work kind friendly knowledgeable guys. If your looking for quality work this def is the place to go. My artist Tommy always seems to amaze me more and more Everytime I sit in his chair.

Hands down best tattoo shop in STL!!!

Called several times to no answer even during business hours. Stopped by shop during business hours and no one was there. Made several attempts to reach someone through social media only to be told check back in a few months. Disappointing and disrespectful to customers with good intentions and reputable network of influence.

Pete is truly so talented. I highly recommend his services for a any tattoo you have in mind!
