Aside from Iron Age, Ive only been to 2 other tattoo parlors, and while theyre all good, I personally adore Iron Age alongside its artists.Ive gotten most of my tattoos and nearly all of my piercings from there and love every single one. Same with my husband who has also gotten a tattoo there following my recommendation.

Fiona is INCREDIBLE! She did an amazing job making this tattoo look exactly like the photo. And aside from that, she worked with me on finding the right placement. Shes so patient, kind, and will make sure you feel seen and heard! 10/10 I couldn’t recommend her more!

I’ve gotten 3 tattoos in my life, all at Iron Age. It’s been a long time since I got my second one, but I knew where I wanted to go. The owner himself did the first two, so of course they were excellent. Dee did this last one. Iron Age, you’ve still got it. 5 stars from me. As for Dee, another 5 stars. I think he did an amazing job.

I had to post a review with how great this experience was. Let me start by saying out of 43 states and 21 countries this was by far the best tattoo experience I’ve ever had. Simeon at the front has some of the best customer service skills I’ve ever seen, as well he’s knowledgeable of the job and lights up the environment with the fact that’s he’s always smiling and just happy to be at work. Then there’s Manny his tattooing skill is phenomenal, his customer service is phenomenal, and he talks highly of his peers and workplace. While I was getting the tattoo I could hear everyone laughing and enjoying life. Based on today I’ve already started to schedule my list of tattoos I want done with Manny. If I could give more than 5 starts I would. The team at Iron Age is like nothing else, and I hope the owner knows how lucky it is to find a team like the one he has.

Miss Morgan is an amazing tattoo artist. She did a redo of a partial tattoo removal and holy moly does it look delicate and beautiful. I went in the 2 days ago & because the guy hes new apparently refused to do my tattoo because I didnt like his drawing. My body my choice. Weakegotistical guy however Morgan made me feel comfortable, reassuring and kind while giving me an amazing tat. Cant recommend her more. 5 stars and the sweet woman that pierced my ear was lovely. Beautiful persona, great vibes for both.

Busy but worth the wait. I was lucky enough to be able to see a traveling artist while she was in town and she did a beautiful job. I couldnt be happier with my new tattoo.Edit: just went yesterday for a rook piercing by Bayle and she was phenomenal.

A flawless experience! I got my very first tattoo from here today. My artist, Jason, was phenomenal. He was very kind, polite, and professional. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a tattoo and I will definitely come back here in the future when I want to get another tattoo.

I got my nose pierced here. She was very careful and professional. She made sure I understood how to care for it and when it could be changed out. They have a lot of business especially for tatoos. I asked about a special tattoo and they gave a five line artist they recommend. They also have cosmetic artists they recommend

I’ve been pierced and tattooed here and brought friends to be pierced and tattooed here. Sometimes of course there’s a wait if you walk in. They’re always thorough and knowledgeable and professional. I went to get a piercing and the piercer (a guy) told me he couldn’t do the piercing I wanted because it wouldn’t work with my anatomy. I appreciate the honesty instead of just doing it for the $$. We figured out a different one. Also Iron Age went out of their way to get me sent replacement jewelry when mine fell out. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in St. Louis!

Went in on a whim to get a walk in with a friend. Was serviced super quickly! Staff was super nice and was helpful when I asked questions about my idea and others I have for the future. I had Manny who was super cool! Will be going back:)

I never left yall w laGoogle review unil now but here it goes. TWO years ago I got my first tattoo. (The 3 leaf clover) and Jason Bane did an absolutely AWRSOME JOB on it. Then 1 year later I came back and got a stacked STL logo that Miss Morgan did an absolutely fantastic job on. I absolutely love them and plan on getting a third this year. BTW these have all been birthday tattoos to myself so around the 21st of september Ill be back for my 3rd tattoo from iron age. Caht wait

This is a great find. We get ink everywhere we travel to. My daughter joined this club last night. They are incredibly professional, clean, and talented. We had two different artists who both rocked. Her smile says it all... We all got them done... and for the record the City Museum is one of our favorite places.

I brought our daughter in for a septum piercing and Alex was great! He took his time to make sure everything was the way she wanted it and he was very kind. We will be back

This was my first tattoo completed by Carson, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! Highly recommend, and I will be retuning for my next tattoo!

Had a bit of a wait but it was worth the wait! Steven made the adjustment to my tattoo, and I was so excited! Steven was amazing and took the time to talk about it, the coloring, etc, and was good enough to admit on going a different direction when the original plan didnt seem right. The tat came out simply beautiful! A member for my fav music group signed my copy of his 1984 photo book in 2008. Over the years, the autograph has slowly been disappearing. So this was to save the original in tattoo form. I had my first tat done at Iron Age Studio in 2005. I chose to return in 2021 for my third. I will return for more! Thanks Steven and Iron Age!

Today is Veterans Day and I lost my nose piercing on the flight two days prior so as soon as I landed I needed a ring. when I landed in stl I went somewhere else ( trx tattoos) and I was not helped or greeted, I looked online and called Iron Age and the individual I spoke to Simeon, on the phone was so nice, he took his time and spoke with me. I told him I was on my way(still in the other shop) and as I entered, there were some individuals being helped by him but he acknowledged me and helped. I spoke with him and he listened and helped me and looked over with jewelry with me. I felt bad because I assumed I was holding up others that came in behind me but a young lady stepped up and helped so he could be more attentive.He told me someone would be coming up and there was a nice lady Bayle that helped me. She was amazing and very detailed and she tried to see if my piercing was still open but it closed up. She told me about aftercare but it was completely different than the place I went to before which I appreciated. She told me what would go with my face and nose shape and also helped with letting me know if some would turn which would cause irritation. She gave a lot of little words of advice even if I don’t come back since I don’t work in St. Louis. I am happy I didn’t stay at the former place. I will definitely come back to her and Simeon at the front was amazing. I will recommend piercings here most definitely.

The wait was long and grueling for a walk in but it was well worth it. Staff is very professional and kind. Very clean and shop with an awesome vibe. The ink done is really good work. I would upload a picture but I don’t want anyone’s art to be misrepresented by anyone else.

Ive been going here for quite some time, Ill say that without a doubt... Jason bane is my go to guy. Hes an awesome person and incredibly skilled. Im what most would consider heavily tattooed, therfore Im selective with whom I let tattoo me. Id highly recommend checking out this shop. You will not be disappointed.

Great customer service from the guy working the front desk & shout out to Bayle for being kind and patient explaining step by step what she was doing while giving my 14yo her nose piercing and allowing me to be there to keep her calm and record lolI researched a few shops before deciding to come here and the website helped me to come prepared with my minors having their IDs, birth certificates, & the notarized documents required. The only reason I’m giving only 4stars is because my 17yo was extremely disappointed being told they don’t do tattoos on the neck or hand for minors. I didn’t see anything along those lines on the website so it might help to disclose that upfront.

I posted a review a few months ago and since then it’s been removed. Bayle pierced me twice (septum and nipples) and I had a lovey experience each time. She was super sweet, professional and provided a safe and welcoming environment. However, I noticed one of my nip piercings were starting to move and so I reached out to her take a look. She was polite and totally willing to check it out. My first red flag should have been when I got there the lobby was completely full which is understandable, but when she said my name she shouted “you’re the one with the nipple problem”. I was a little embarrassed but I brushed it off as I’ve only had positive experiences prior. While taking a look at it she asked where I got it pierced and I reminded her that she did it. She then assured me that everything is fine and I have nothing to worry about. I went about my way, but it continued to move so I got a second opinion from morgan at arch nemesis. I was told that if I don’t remove my piercing immediately my nipple will eventually rip off. She also told me that it was pierced too far up and that’s why it’s starting to surface. I completely understand if bayle made a mistake while piercing my nipple. We are all human, including professionals. But the way she told me everything was okay after I reminded her that she pierced it really rubbed me the wrong way. I think it shows a lot about bayles character and integrity. In my first review I mentioned that I would not be returning to bayle for piercings, but after my comment has been deleted, I think it shows a lot about Iron Age as well. If you are looking for a shop that is honest and willing to take accountability, Iron Age is unfortunately not the place and there are better alternatives in the area.

My artist is Manny, he is absolutely amazing. He’s done all of my tattoos beside my first and I will continue to go to him until I can’t any longer. Everyone at the shop is so nice and personal I absolutely love this shop :)))

Went to get a piercing done with a friend. Alex, our piercer, made the experience phenomenal. We were both nervous and overly excited, however his calm demeanor and knowledge really relaxed us. Even when he had to reiterate some key points multiple times, he was patient and understanding. His steady hands made the experience quick with minimal pain and I am personally grateful for his friendly attitude and attention to our comfort level. Highly recommend going to Iron Age Studios to get your piercings done by him. You will not regret it.

Amazing place! Im 35 now and Ive been coming to Iron Age for tattoos and piercings since I was 23; today was my most recent trip. Clean, professional, friendly, and the artists are fantastic. Every time, they make sure Im completely comfortable with what were doing each step of the way.Theyre happy to work with what you bring in, but if you just have a loose idea, theyll come up with a custom piece--shoutout to the Cinderella Castle thigh piece Miss Morgan did for me last year! Ive seen just about every artist there at this point and Ill never go anywhere else. Thanks again!

Alex was absolutely amazing! I came with 2 other people, and we all got multiple piercings. He was so kind with each of us, made us feel at ease, and made sure we fully understood what to expect and how to take care of our piercings. He cared deeply about getting each piercing perfect, and checked in with us regularly to make sure we were comfortable. I couldn’t ask for a better, more inclusive piercer.

Got my first tattoo here. It was a walk in, went fast, very clean. Maybe over priced but it was in a more touristy area so I can’t blame them.

Wanted to get my nose piercing replaced because the place I got it done from put too long of a piercing in and it kept sticking out of my nose. The first place I went to to look at jewelry which I was recommended by a few people actually didn’t have hardly anything so we ended up here. First off everyone was super nice and they definitely had a good amount of jewelry to choose from! Bayle was so nice and awesome changing out my piercing especially when I was a little iffy on the stud size and had to have her switch it to a smaller size than what I originally picked out! Will definitely be back for more jewelry soon!

Miss. Morgan did 3 of my tattoos in one day. She was quick but did an amazing job.

They dont answer their phone but they have a recording that tells you they are expecting walk-ins but when you show up the turn you away. Ill never waste my time trying to come back to this place. Show up at your own risk

I had the most amazing experience with Alex who did an excellent job with two piercings. He made me feel comfortable, confident and gave great advice for my piercings. The area was professionally clean, relaxing atmosphere with him and they turned out great! I will definitely be coming back for another walk in appointment for more with him. Highly recommend seeing him for piercings , very cool dude.

Bayle was AMAZING. Made us all feel so comfortable and was such a professional. We will definitely be coming back. I had a walk in helix piercing and it was my best experience out of all my piercings. This place rocks!!! The whole team is wonderful!

I had an awesome experience getting my first tattoo here a few days ago. I searched high and low for a fine line/single needle tattoo artist and was very impressed with his work on Instagram (@carsondarryl_ia_). The shop was professional and clean, and they actually had an impressive selection of jewelry available for piercing clients. When we started the session, Carson had my design ready to go on the transfer paper. He had multiple copies of the design, so he adjusted it until we got it just right. I could tell that hed already put thought into the design for me and he was well prepared for the appointment. The actual tattooing took maybe 5-15 minutes. I got a 3 tattoo of my grandmothers handwriting and he did an incredible job making it look just like shed written it. He was very easy going and made me feel relaxed even though i was a bit nervous. I could tell that he loves his craft and would recommend him to anyone looking for a fine line tattoo!

Best place hands down, Moegan is amazing and so talented. The environment is very welcoming and staff is friendly. This is th 2nd tattoo Ive gotten there and going back for a 3rd soon.

I was a walk in on thursday night and i didn’t have to wait at all. Everyone there was so nice and alex was amazing. He was so nice and took his time to make sure my measurements were perfect. I’m so happy with how my piercing turned out!

Ive been to Iron Age twice for tattoos and this past time I made an appointment with Carson Darryl. He was wonderful and did a superb fine line tattoo for me. I wanted my late Moms initials done very fine line. I cared for as she suffered from dementia and we were very close. He was so nice and we had a great conversation about our families and our love of animals. Great experience.

Took my son to Iron Age for his first tatoo. Panda talked him through the process and really made it a great experience. He is already talking about getting a full sleeve and only wants Panda to do it. Thanks again for everything Iron Age.

I’ve been to Alex for two piercings now, he has always made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. He gave a good rundown of the healing process and also answered any question or concerns I had about it. The shop is very clean and professional, definitely my go to shop for piercings or tattoos.

I have had multiple piercings done by Alex in a short period. Not only is he the kindest piercer my wife and I have ever had the pleasure of working with, but he is also the most professional. He takes his time, explains everything, knows his craft, discusses jewelry and size options, measures exceptionally thoroughly, and even brings up future work with you as his customers. He doesn’t just drive needles through your skin; he is an artist.

Visited Iron Age today for the first time to get a new piercing. Even though things were busy; my wait was minimal. Alex is wonderful! Not only is he incredibly respectful and professional, he is meticulous when piercing. I could not have asked for a better experience and will definitely be returning for my next one.

Very disappointed with this shop. They wont answer their phone, but the recording says they take walk-ins until 10pm so we brought my daughter here for her 16th bday to try to cheer her up after receiving some horrible news. It was 8:45pm & all we wanted were matching nose piercings, but they said they didnt have time for anymore walk-ins yet the shop was empty. We even had a notary meet us there. It was very frustrating after my daughter already had a heartbreaking day. Ive always used Allstar Tattoo & will apparently continue to do so... the only reason we even considered Iron Age this time was because of their late hours, & they didnt even matter. The staff wasnt near as friendly either... my daughter doesnt even want to go back.Thank you for your response, but the notary was there by 9pm, giving you an hour to do two nostril piercings. We went to All Star at 7:25pm tonight & they were able to do both of our piercings in less than 20 minutes so its even more upsetting that you couldnt do it in an hour. Like I said, unfortunately you dont compare to All Star so we will continue going there. Not to mention, their counter person is 100% nicer than yours.

I dont want to write a bad review because I have gotten a total of 3 tattoos from this place and they did a great job on them all. However I do have a few things I was disappointed the last time I went. The first time I went, Jason tattooed me. He was very nice and did a great job, got me in and out in less than an hour, and had fair prices. I have nothing to complain about with my experience with him, he was great. The last time I went, I was told there was a 2 hour wait. I decided to wait and didnt end up getting the tattoo for 3 hours instead of 2. My fault for walking in, I wont do it again in the future for this reason. The artist Este didnt even come talk to me before drawing up the tattoo, he asked the girl at the front desk and when he did come over to me the tattoo was nothing like I wanted. I had sent in photos and he didnt reference them at all so I showed him again and he re drew it and it still wasnt what I asked for. At this point, he started being rude to me saying that you didnt say you wanted that you said you want this when I told him I wanted exactly what was in the picture with like 2 minor changes. I understand I am just another client to you but to me this is on my body for the rest of my life, sorry I want it to be what I asked for. He then charged me $200 for a simple line work tattoo less than palm size when my friend got a more detailed, bigger tattoo for 150. The tattoo itself looks good but I am just disappointed with how I was treated. He didnt give any aftercare instructions and said nothing about touch ups whereas my friends artist did. I know it can be different for each artist but I feel like he over charged me because he was annoyed with me. I tried to be really nice and polite and I just dont feel like it was reciprocated. I would not recommend booking with him. I really do like this shop, just disappointed with this experience with this artist. In the future, I wont walk in and instead will book with Kino, Jason, or Emanuel.

First of all, I wanted to give the rating a half a star but it wouldn’t let me. Came with a friend for her to get a nose piercing. When she told us the prices I just made a comment to my friend about how they were taxing. It wasn’t a disrespectful comment just something I was expressing to my friend who was getting the piercing. The manager of the establishment responded to comment about how we could go somewhere cheaper. She proceeded to be rude when I asked to speak to a manager and then tried to put me in my place over a comment I made to my friend. Very unprofessional… we then went to Enigma down the street. Cheaper prices, better vibes, very professional, amazing work, all around better! Don’t waste your time or money going to Iron Age where you will get disrespected by the manager. Go get your tats, piercings, etc. done at Enigma.

Came in for my 3rd tattoo from them today. The whole experience was great. I patiently waited a little over an hour for an artist. Morgan was great, made me feel really comfortable and did a phenomenal job! I appreciate her suggestions and today’s tattoo turned out better than I anticipated. You might pay a little more coming here, but it’s totally worth it!

Literally one of the best experiences Ive ever had from a tattoo shop. I love the asthetic on their lobby, and I love how they have screens for privacy. And I have definitely found my forever artist. My sister actually recommended Morgan for my newest tattoo and it is officially my favorite. The line work is immaculate, her shading is flawless, and the colors are solid and vibrant! She is so sweet and is so fun to hang around. She really helps keep the mind off the pain!! She thought of EVERYTHING for this piece that I never even would have thought of like placement and adding some shadows to really make it pop. She is talented, personable and overall just an amazing artist. Give her a try for your next piece, I promise you wont regret it!!

My boyfriend and I are visiting from out of town. We decided to go get “matching tattoos.” It was my first tattoo and Dee was our artist. He was great! So understanding and patient with me. The environment was clean as well! Design looks great as well! My boyfriend and I love our new tattoos and have no complaints!! We walked in about 8:30pm and we were out before 9:30pm! Bane..the guy is awesome. I approached him with a general concept idea and he nailed it. Walked me through where best to place it, came up with two different size stencils and then laid it down beautifully. He truly is an artist. This was my first tattoo and he was very patient and talked me through the pain during the process. It was a large rib cage tattoo, so, it did hurt, but we took a couple of breaks and he even tolerated me moving around a little bit. I certainly could not recommend him enough. All aspects were perfect and I will refer him to anyone. Also, Iron Age was clean, good staff, nice people, nothing but positives from me and I will be back again to work with Bane!

Impossible to make an appointment with the tattoo artist I was hoping to have my tattoo done by. I understand that each tattoo artist is busy and typically booked out ahead of time, but I have not received a single response yet. The first communication was on February 13, 2023, and the next on February 27, 2023. Ive reached out through his direct page on his social media account, via text message at his cell phone number, and even called the shop to find out an alternative way to get in touch with him. He does not take walk-ins, only appointments. Im not asking to have my tattoo done immediately, just to make an appointment, which seems impossible to do. Its disappointing because the shop appears to have a good reputation overall, but I cant seem to find a way to make an appointment. I think the business will lose potential customers if clients dont have a more effective and efficient method of getting in touch with the artist they want to use.

I came in for a helix piercing and Kolotl did such a great job! He also listened as I told him I was getting the piercing as a tribute to my cat who had just passed. His kindness and attention to detail made the whole experience very positive and almost painless. Thank you Kototl and Iron Age Studios!

Ive come to iron age for all of my piercings (except my first lobe piercings) and Ive been happy every time! Bayle is whos there typically right now and she was super sweet. She made sure my new piercings were even and made it all very easy.

Great clean shop in a easy to find location. Front of house was very professional. I walked in on sunday and was able to get an appointment the same afternoon. all artists do all styles, shop merch and artists prints also available.

Got a tattoo here over a month ago. First tattoo and it was an amazing experience! Everyone was very friendly! Shop was clean and Chris did amazing work! They dont rush the work, but they are considerate of your time. It was great! I am from KC and would consider coming back herr again if I decide to get another tattoo.

I’ve been contemplating writing this review, but I’m absolutely devastated about the linework on my tattoo to the point where I’ve been in tears daily looking at it. My tattoo looks rushed and I’m going to have to get part of it removed (which costs $1,000) and redone because the lines are too close together to fix. When I went in the next day to talk to someone about it, the girl up front seemed annoyed that I was there and made me feel like I’m overreacting about something that’s on my body forever and can’t be fixed without removal. It really sucks when you show people your new tattoo and they think it looks messy too.

Went in for a nose piercing and only waited for around 25 minutes as a walk-in, which wasnt bad at all given that the store was starting to fill up. Caleb was super nice and made the entire experience comfortable. He was knowledgeable and quick. It didnt last more than 15 minutes getting the actual piercing and it was a nice clean environment. Super sanitary and everything. Would recommend going here for your piercing needs!

Caleb did my dermal piercing on my cheek and he did so amazing! He made me feel so comfortable and he made it very quick and as painless as I assume those piercings can be lol. I have no swelling no bruising he did very good and I’ve gone to Iron Age for other piercings and tattoos as well and they are always amazing! Definitely highly recommend overall & Caleb s. Is the best piercer for sure !

Dee was the first to tattoo me after 31 years of not having any. I walked in and was lucky enough that he happened to come available at the same time. The professional and skilled work he does stands on its own, but the discussion on the meaning of my tattoo with him surpassed mere coincidence and made it feel like he was an old friend. Cannot recommend him enough.

Brought my mom for her birthday- we had an awesome time and Katy did an amazing job giving us tattoos that matched exactly. I also have a tattoo by Miss Morgan that I love and Caleb has done most of my piercings. I would recommend that anyone go here! Its incredibly professional and theyre crazy about everything being clean.

Had my nose jewelry changed out (took about 5 mins and cost $10 - and dont forget to add a little tip!!) The gentleman was super nice and helpful.

I got my Helix pierced there, and they were so sweet and kind! I recommend Caleb, he was very sweet, and explained to me the entire process. THEY USE NEEDLES!!! I know that was the big thing I was looking for, and, yes they do use needles. the jewelry was very inexpensive and my total was approximately $70! Very inexpensive! If you are in Missouri looking for a place to get a piercing, I HIGHLY recommend Iron Age Studios! Thanks for the amazing experience!

My sister and I came here to get a tat together. Chris was our tattoo artist. He was absolutely fantastic! The tats came out amazing and dont even hurt at all. We are so impressed with this place, from the really sweet receptionist to Chris, the whole experience was awesome! We will definitely be back!

I took my fifteen year old in for a septum piercing; he says hell definitely be going back. Good price, professional work, and an awesome staff. If youre bringing your kid, make sure to grab that notary paper from their site.

I have gotten 3 tattoos here. Every time they have been so courteous and professional. I recommend this place to everyone. Each one was a walk in with different artists and they all were a delight to work with. The latest two were Kino and Morgan. I have gotten tattoos done at several shops and not one of them compares to here.

I have gotten my first piercing other than my ears yesterday at Iron Age and let me tell you that I had a great experience so far. I had gotten my belly buttoned pierced by Caleb, who was very kind and was very professional and he assured that I will have a awesome experience. Everyone was very nice there and the made sure that I had all of the proper information for the aftercare. I am very pleased with my piercing and my decision to go with Iron Age. As for the price, I paid $60 for it and it was worth it. Hopefully I wont have anything go wrong with my healing.

My son got his 1st tattoo from Kyle Markiewiez. He was very professional and made him feel comfortable. Hes already talking about getting another one. I would recommend Kyle to any one. This guy is spectacular with his ink. We were more than satisfied with his tattoo. Excellent tattoo artist

The staff here are always so welcoming and the vibe is really great. They are super knowledgeable and the artists are always open and up front with concerns or issues with a design. The piercing staff is also fantastic!

I have had tattoos and piercings done here. And let me tell you, youre not going to find a better artist than Jason James!!! His works is clean and fantastic. His hand is light, and hes just a nice guy. He enjoys his work and the proof is on my skin. Ive have several tattoos done before him and he is the ONLY artist Ive gone back to. I took my daughter (10) to get her ears pierced for the first time today. Caleb and staff were terrific with her. Caleb chatted with her and talked her through what he was doing. She loves them! And I’m so glad that she had such a great experience!

Less than a week ago I visited Iron Age to get my first tattoo.My tattoo artist, Katy, was super friendly, patient, and helpful.Since it was my first tattoo, I was quite nervous and anxious. She put a lot of efforts into perfecting the design I chose.I would personally recommend Katy.The place by itself is pretty neat.The stuff is friendly and so are the other artists working there. It all creates an illusion of a great atmosphere.If I were to get another tattoo, I would come back to this place.

First time at the shop. I put my info on the walk-in list. The quoted time was very accurate and I already felt good vibes right off the bat. I dont know the name of the front desk person but she was cool and helpful. Kino was my artist, he was friendly and very professional. The tattoo was exactly what I wanted; a small, cursive word. Kino did a great job and I could tell he put care into ensuring both of us were happy with the placement. The price was very reasonable and the shop was clean and comfortable. Over all a very positive experience, would definitely come back! Thanks :)

So a last minute idea turned into the most wonderful tattoo experience! We were in the area for dinner and I’ve been itching to get the tattoo I’ve been wanting for the last several months. We walked in and were greeted by an awesome lady who helped me get checked in and the design process was super easy. Chris, the tattoo artist helped me to get the size, color and detail work nailed down and stenciled my desired design out. He explained everything from why certain colors should be avoided to what the process entailed. He was SO gentle and super fun! I have not had a better experience thus far. Put it this way, I live in NE and look forward to several more tattoos at Iron Age. My tattoo is amazing and I couldn’t be happier, Chris is an expert water color artist!

I went with my sister to get our noses pierced. We ended up working with Caleb. He was an absolute joy. Very calm and positive energy. He clearly knew what he was doing and was great about giving his expert opinion while still being open to our input. He was very careful about keeping things clean and very informed about the jewelry (I work with MRIs so I have to have surgical grade metals). We were walk ins and were seen with only a little waiting around 4pm but the place was quickly getting busy. I would 100% go back to Caleb. My only qualm is parking was a pain, but thats life on Delmar these days.

We went to Iron Age to get my daughters third hole and cartridge pierced as well as my nostril done. Everyone was awesome. The studio was very clean and following covid protocols. I would definitely recommend to everyone I know.

The best place to go get tattoos or piercings! I got my first tattoo from here and my belly re pierced here. The prices are on the higher end of the spectrum but its totally worth it for the service you get. Went yesterday to get my belly button re pierced & Caleb was AWESOME. Hands down one of the best piercing experiences I ever had. They are very knowledgeable on everything when it comes to tattoos and piercings.

Got a septum done by Bayle and had an amazing experience. I was scared for my piercing but that girl is so talented! It hurt less than stubbing a toe. The work shop was very clean and I was able to get all my aftercare products before I left. Thanks again!

Awesome atmosphere, work quality, and team. Artists and piercers are extremely friendly and the facility cleanliness and professionalism is almost medical while still having a great vibe. Prices on jewelry are a little high and it isnt the cheapest place for tattoos or piercings, but its still normal. When considering the quality, Iron Age is the best value you can get.

I just got an amazing tattoo done by Bane. He was super amazing and so kind. He was very clear on what was happening throughout the tattoo process, and made sure I was completely comfortable. I highly recommend going to Iron Age. I also was a walk in client, and I got in immediately around 5:30 on a Friday. Highly recommend and will be coming back for more!

I went in with a good idea of what I wanted and Steve made it even better. He made the curves of the primrose fit perfectly with the existing sunbeam.I walked in at Noon and was out the door by 1:44 and that was even with him drawing something up and making the templates. Great guy, very professional, I highly recommend him.

This is the first place I thought of when I decided to get my nose pierced 2 years ago and Im glad I did. Caleb is great at making customers feel comfortable and going through every step of what hes going to do before shoving a needle in you. Hes very patient and if nervous, will wait til youre ready. I just recently went back because my ring fell out and nose was starting to close. Caleb was just as good as he was 2 years ago.

Went with a friend to get conch and helix piercings. Our piercer was Bayle and she was awesome! Everyone there was friendly and extremely professional. Very clean facility and a short wait time! It was slightly more pricey than other shops I have been to, but well worth the money!!! I highly recommend it!

I saw Manny on July 4th and showed him images of the tattoo I wanted. I texted him a couple weeks later and sent him the pics of the tiger head I want, more realistic but not cartoon like. And booked an appointment with him on 8-8-22 at 1230pm for my bday. I came in and showed him the pics again and told him the same thing more realistic and not too cartoon like. He said ok give me time to draw it. He came out about 30 mins later and it was a traditional tiger head, nothing like we talked about. He said this is the way I tattoo tigers and was taught this way but not once did he mention that before! He even should have said something when I walked in at 1230 and showed him the pics again! COMMUNICATION IS KEY!! Manny should have said that right off the bat. Then told me about another arist that works there that could do the tattoo i wanted with fine lines, but he has like a month wait time!! If he would have told me when I first texted him 3 weeks ago, then I could have not wasted my time and my day off for nothing!!!!

Decided to pop in for a tattoo while on a road trip with some friends. All four of us got tattoos and were able to get in and out with no problems. The staff was friendly and the prices were pretty normal. Everybodys tattoo turned out great! The shop is pretty neat inside too! Overall great place to get some ink!

Run, dont walk, from this place, especially if they want you to use Patrick, aka TallMoose. What should have been a very simple tattoo, with the specific size drawn on paper for him, is a huge blob of ⚫️ and bigger than what was asked. Your 5 year old can draw better and follow basic instructions. Owner couldnt care less. Dont make our same mistake, as there are certainly better artists and studios in STL.

Went to get a helix piercing, my wait was not too long but it is best to go when they first open, since this is a very popular tattoo shop in St. Louis. My piercer, Caleb, had great conversation and distracted from the pain of the piercing. The shop is clean and very stylish.

I have 17 tattoos, and theyve all been done at Iron Age. Its immaculately clean, and everyone there is so nice and so talented. My regular artist is Steven, and he is just fantastic--the nicest guy and a wonderful artist.

Not professional at all. Went a year ago to get my doubles pierced and they promised they would keep my notarized form on file. Fast forward to now, they did not. Didn’t offer me any compensation. Barely said sorry and blamed it on them “probably shredding it”. So many better places to go to than this one.

The shop was so clean! I went in for a simple little semicolon, and the receptionist was suppper nice and got me back right away. We arrived at the shop a half hour after it opened (which probably is why the wait was short). Morgan was my artist and took the time to make sure the design was straight (she even printed off another stencil and took the time to wipe off and repositon!). Great experience! Would DEFINITELY recommend.

I had an appointment to get a tattoo done that I have been deciding on for 5 years. The artists name was Jason Bane. EXCELLENT Work! I am working on finishing up a sleeve and Jason will absolutely be the one I have finish it. I was really impressed with the time he took to make sure that it was perfect! Thank you!!! LOVE IT!!!

Caleb is amazing at what he does. He is super professional, passionate, and clean with his work.I first came to Iron Age to have him look at a piercing I had done from another shop that concerned me and he was very helpful. The piercing turned out to be way too deep and Caleb recommend to take it out to have the area heal and to come back in a couple of months. Time went by and I came back to Iron Age to get my piercing redone and Im so happy with how it turned out. It isnt crooked or anything. I cant wait to come back when the area has healed to change the jewelry. If you want a piercing done, I 100% recommend going to Caleb Steffes.

I got a navel piercing with Caleb. He was warm, welcoming, very clean, and professional. I had concerns about scarring and he went beyond saying yes or no and searching for a sale, and took time to explain the process and address my concerns. He also responded to my (late) text promptly about a concern I had.

I give Iron Age five stars because the work I have received, has always been really good. It is expensive, but tattoos are expensive; especially good tattoos! I have had more tattoos done here, than piercings . The piercing prices are more than fair! The atmosphere is laid back and super clean. I would absolutely set up an appointment beforehand, or get there when they open. It is always busy. I have spent more hours than I can count getting tattooed here. I have no idea what people are talking about when they say the pricing is not fair. Pretty much $100 an hour with walk ins. I think there is more fluctuation depending on color, design, etc. Or, if you are having someone who only tattoos clients, rather than walk ins.I could not fathom why anyone who had such a horrible experience receiving something permanent placed on their body, would later decide to patron again. And as far as piercings go, I personally would only let Caleb handle my piercings! He is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.Maybe some of the tattooers are not personable enough... However, keep in mind that you are an adult, getting a tattoo; not your hair done. If bedside manner is relevant to you, then just like anything else in life, you should do your research and shop around before you decide to spend your time, money, and energy on an individual. As far as the work goes, it is extremely good. Anyone saying otherwise is just being ridiculous. 99% of my tattoos are from Iron Age, and I receive so many compliments on an almost daily basis.

I had my second tattoo done here with Katy. She was awesome. It was a smaller and simpler tattoo, but I didn’t know exactly what I wanted. She drew up an image and I absolutely loved it! I would highly recommend her!

I got my first tattoo at Iron Age 25 years ago, and Ive gotten three there since. The artists are amazing, but make sure you bring a Drivers License! The women at the desk (gauges like dinner plates) was incredibly rude when I told her I lost my DL, but I had a passport, Social Security card, student ID etc. She flat out refused me, and I was there with a close friend for her 18th birthday. It was worse than the DMV 🥴.Edited to add: I did not get a tattoo. I left. You should only need to establish age to get a tattoo, not citizenship or residency. Person at desk was 100% being rude, intentionally. Ive worked in retail and hospitality for many years, and she said she fully believed I am 43 years old, and I had several things to show to prove age and identitiy. Life is hard enough. Getting a tattoo shouldnt feel like a gauntlet. Found a new artist!

I have had many tattoos done here over the years, below I have included just a few done at Iron Age. The dolphin pictured I had done when I was 18 years old at Iron Age and I am now 39. These artist and this studio do amazing work that withstand time. I have gone to other places and most times end up with deep regret and back at Iron Age asking them to fix whatever I had done elsewhere. I HIGHLY recommend Iron Age for quality life long artistry.

The wait wasn’t long for a walk in, Alex my piercer was very compassionate and funny as well as fast.10/10 would recommend.

I asked for a jewelry change. They girl at the front desk put my name down but didnt tell me how long of a wait until after I sat there for an hour. She should have told me the piercer was booked up for about two hours. She should have told me that when I first came in, but instead she didnt and had me sitting there thinking I was going to be waited on shortly. So ended up leaving without having my jewelry changed. When I originally got the piercing, Bailey did a good job. But today was just unprofessional.

Bayle pierced my daughters cartilage and I now have one happy teen. She did a great job and made her feel comfortable. The process for minors to get piercings is very clearly stated on the website so we had everything we needed ahead of time.

I love coming here. All the artists are great at their particular styles and they have never been particularly long on wait time either. I only have 4 stars because I feel as though sometimes their prices are a little high but not outrageous like other places.

This review is not in reference to the artwork itself, but the customer service needs major improvements. Being a new customer trying to schedule an appointment in advance was complete chaos. Then the one artist, Chappy that is highly recommended, is booked until February. Unfortunately, I would rather go somewhere else that values new customers!!

The service here sucks. I came in to buy jewelry for my nostril piercing and they charged me 40 bucks for jewelry that doesnt even fit in my nose. Without even asking the gauge of my nose, they gave me a hoop thats way too big, and a flat back stud that wont even fit in my nose because the part attached to the jewel is way too short. As if this wasnt enough, the counter girl isnt friendly at all, and neither are any of the artists for that matter. Ive had two tattoos done here by Caleb Quales, and although he does good work, hes way overpriced. I highly recommend checking out tower classic in tower grove. The guys there are nice AND reasonable. Dont waste your money here.

Biggest waste of money! I will say that the staff was extremely friendly and comforting, but everything is overpriced. I went there because my friend wanted to get a piercing even though I knew prices were high. I got 4 piercings for $250. It’s been 2 weeks and all of the jewelry has broken and fallen out, since I got the cheaper prices jewelry they won’t replace it for free.

Pat James is an amazing addition to the team at Iron Age. Not only was he excited for my design but all the artists would stop by his chair and make comments and everyone loved the outcome! I love my new tattoo And highly recommend this shop!

Got my first piercing (besides ears) done here yesterday by Caleb. He is awesome!! I was so scared but his bubbling personality made me feel comfortable. He talked me thru the whole process, told me how to breathe n everything. Way better than what I was imagining! Though he cant make it painless, it was quick & easy. And the little pinch of pain wasnt that bad anyway. If youre a scaredy cat like me or just looking for a CLEAN space with friendly, professional staff, I definitely recommend Iron Age. The receptionist makes checking in & out a breeze, too! Excellent customer service from beginning to end!

Got a ring tattoo done. Lines aren’t even. Lines aren’t straight. Angles aren’t close to 90 degree. Been asked numerous times which inmate I had do it, which I personally find disrespectful to incarcerated artists. Don’t feel like the guy that did it really listened to me or cared to take any time.

Went there a while back for an arm piece, lettering was mediocre. The shop has national hype but its work by the artists from what Ive seen is average at best. Pass on this place. The owner is all about tattoo history etc. The artists seem bored and unmotivated. You feel like your wasting their time. A corporate atmosphere.

Great for tattoos; Horrid for piercings.For my 18th birthday in December, I went to Iron Age Studios to get my navel pierced. I had wanted a belly button piercing for years and could finally get one. I thought it went great, the piercer was quick and friendly. The area around the site since then has been pink, but I was assured it was just light scarring and would fade as it healed. Well a few days ago, my boyfriend and I returned to Iron Age to get tattoos. Another service friendly visit; however, right before I left I asked another piercer there if he would know when the pink would fade...One look at it and he says, Whoa, who did that to you?! That shouldve come out yesterday.Apparently it was too shallow, by an 1/4 of an inch..?! It was nearing necrosis.So he took it out and told me to come back in a month to have him repierce it.Needless to say, I am devastated. Now I am left with a scar half the size of my actual navel.But I had my tattoo done by Kerry. I love that.

This is a great shop where you will get a superb piece of art. I recommend them to everyone I talk to about tattoos. Everyone on here bitching about prices are just cheap people that shouldnt be getting tattooed. Tattoos are an investment that will last forever. Great job Iron Age Studios!

Told me it would be impossible to have the beginning letters of my kids added through a heartbeat as a tat, tried to tell me to do something else like a heart. When I said I didnt want a heart the artist got an attitude with me, very rude.I went somewhere else and had the tattoo done within 15 mins. They let me pick the font, size of the tat. It looks amazing. These guys couldnt do it.Apparently.

I’ve gotten 4 tattoos here and I loved them. Clean and safe. Not sure if they are the cheapest but nobody a month later says, “Hey, look how good of a deal I got on this tattoo.”

My son went here one night this past year with some friends after a night of celebrating at Three Kings Pub downstreet. His buddy got a shamrock tattoo on his butt and received much ribbing from his friends. I was told it was a great experience for the entire group! Ill kick my sons tail if he ever gets one.

I trust all of the artists and piercers here they are very talented and fun and also professional. They ask you questions through the process and make sure you both are on the same page about exactly what you want. I recommend this place to all my friends!

My wife and I each got a large tatoo from Trevor Collis. He was extremely professional and a hell of a nice guy. We are so happy with our tattoos, as Trevor truly took our concepts and made them works of art. We have recently moved to Phoenix, but when we decide to get more ink, we will come back to Saint Louis for him.

Wanted to get a cover up done so i went into the stop to see if it was doable since its pretty popular in the area. i was told to email them about it, after emailing I hadnt heard back so i called multiple times after hearing a load of excuses I never received a follow up or an email explain that they couldnt do the cover up. Terrible customer service.

My 11 year old daughter went here to get her ears pierced for her birthday, her piercer was Caleb and he was so kind to her and made it painless. I would definitely recommend Iron Age to anyone.

So I walk in the receptionist was awesome. When it was time for me to get the piercing the guy says come on, and thinking umm am I suppose to follow him?? No hi?He doesnt even look at me... his head is down... just says sit... he says right or left...I POINT TO MY RIGHT EAR! But since he doesnt look at me starts to take the needle out open the alcohol swab and proceeds to wipe my nose...I jump back and go what are you doing, im getting my ears pierced, he looks up at me... takes the gloves off...and walks out... never apologizing...The receptionist comes back and like hey sorry your after her...I was fine with the mistake, but the guy was absolutely rude!!! I just walked out the shop!

This is the best place in the Lou to get a tattoo from artists who care about what they are doing. They are amazing Manny was my artist today and he was just majestic and incredible keep up the amazing work its all appreciated!!

I had an amazing tattoo artist. The process was quick and easy. Very pleasant customer service. A little pricey, but its worth it . Ill give it a 10/10.

Didnt disclose pertinent info about 16 year Olds needing a notarized form over 3 phone calls. We drove far to the place only to leave my daughter disappointed on her b-day. Never going to take the chance of decision making about the place.

I wish I could give this place no stars they are completed inconsiderate and pay no attention to detail. I have a Ashley piericing and I have had to go in twice and now a third time because the piercer gave me an inadequate bar that was to small for my lip now it’s swollen over and I’m in complete pain I can’t even sleep. The piercer didn’t want to give me a longer bar solely because he didn’t want it to “stick out” completely disregarding THE DANGERS OF GIVING ME SOMETHING FAR TO SMALL FOR MY LIP! Now I have to endure even more pain to get this piericing removed and I expect a full $50 refund. Go to BLACK PEARL! These people are not were you wanna go, yes they get a lot of business and that’s pretty much because they are in the delmar loop, save your money their prices are high and their service is only in THEIR BEST INTEREST not yours. I will never go to this place again and I will recommend to all my friends and family to not go here. I don’t understand how you are a professional and only care about the appearance of the piericing and not the actual healing processs I’m concerned for other people of color to go to this shop. they don’t deserve any stars.

Got my bicep tattooed by Jason Stubblefield. Love it! The staff was very friendly and took the time to answer all my questions. The price is a bit high but well worth it! Great quality work.
