Steel and Ink Tattoo Studio

This is my all-time favorite tattoo/piercing shop! I’ve been in for a tattoo at least once a month since I found it, and it’s always such a great experience. The shop is incredibly clean, and everyone working there is super friendly and welcoming. All of the artists are unbelievably talented, and their prices are very reasonable for the masterpieces they produce.I’ve had several tattoos done by Rachel M, who, among many things, does phenomenal blackwork! Her attention to detail and creativity are truly impressive! I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for high-quality tattoos in a great environment!

I loved working with Shaun. He designed and executed exactly the tattoo I wanted. It was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.

Atmosphere is fun and inviting…employees are professional and you can tell they love what they do! Tyler really brought my tattoo idea to life and I love it! Will definitely be back!!

Although I’ve only had piercings done here, every visit has been nothing but warm and friendly! Every piercing I’ve had healed beautifully and I cannot thank them enough. The atmosphere is amazing and incredibly welcoming. I cannot recommend this place more!!

I have been to Steel and Ink a few times and will only go there. I have gotten a few tattoos and my daughter a couple piercings. They are professional and very clean. So friendly too.

My 11 year old daughter wanted to get her ears pieced and I knew I wanted to have it done by a professional. I looked into multiple shops and ultimately decided on this one. The staff here is amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. The piercer walked my daughter through every step of the process and made sure he had her consent through each step. An amazing display of respecting someone’s bodily autonomy. Her ears have healed beautifully and unlike me who got her ears pierced at Walmart in the 90’s my daughters piercing are actually even. We’re gonna give it another month wearing the earrings the piercer placed just to be sure she’s fully healed (will be 4 month by then) but if she ever wants more piercings or I decide to get another tattoo I definitely know where I’m going. For the piercings they don’t do appointments it was a first come first serve/waiting list situation so we did have or wait about 45 minutes but with south county mall being right there we just went and did some window shopping and snacking and then returned and they were ready for us within 10 minutes of our return

I brought my daughter Stella in to get her ears pierced for her birthday. The shop staff was amazing. Mackenzie the piercer was excellent with Stella. So patient and explained everything as she went. The shop as so clean and well maintained. I highly recommend going to them!

I got a tattoo done with Aleenah! She did an amazing job! All of the staff were super nice! Will definitely be going back!

I have had a couple ear piercings and nose piercing done here. They make you feel comfortable, the people are amazing! (Place is also extremely clean). Can’t wait to get one of my tattoos fixed here!

I’ve been going here for 6 years now. I don’t EVER plan on stopping. I love Steel and Ink. I have never ONCE had a problem. Everyone is friendly and amazing!! All of the artists and piercers are lovely. I recommend everyone I know to come here for their tattoos or piercings. ( photos aren’t the best quality but just to show them )

I took my daughter to get her first ear piercing two days ago and I couldnt be more happy. They were so kind and gracious and explained everything to her both before and after. Im sure I paid a bit more than going to clairs but between the service, how careful the piercer was getting the piercing in just the right spot and my daughters ears look so healthy! I couldnt be happier and am so glad I made the investment. I know we will be coming back again

I’ve gotten tattooed by a handful of artists at steel n ink and each one of them brings so much talent to the table and whoever you choose, you cannot go wrong. no matter who helps me out with perfecting a vision, im never let down. aleenah has done a majority of my traditional sleeve and i could not be more satisfied. i’m constantly getting complimented and connecting with people regarding my tattoos, and every time i’m approached i have to mention the shop. there is so much talent in one place. i’m happy with whoever ends up being available when i feel like getting inked because each artist is incredibly talented and i am never ever let down. my favorite place to spend my free time by far.

I got my first tattoo yesterday with Rachel and was very happy with the entire experience. Rachel was so wonderful and patient with me from the beginning, her design was even better than I imagined and she totally nailed what I wanted and then some. Everything was super clean and comfortable; overall an amazing experience!

I’ve been Tattooed and Pierced by many people here and everyone is very nice, understanding kind, and patient. That’s something you can’t find at a lot of places, they have a great team. Definitely my number one place to go and will be for a while!Aleenah’s work below! ♡

Could not recommend this place more. I’ve gone there for a few fine line tattoos, a helix piercing and my daughter got her belly button pierced there. Every tattoo artist I’ve worked with has been amazing, especially Aleenah with her awesome fine line skills. And Fino was so knowledgeable, kind, gentle and just overall awesome. I’m already planning my next trip in!

Stumbled up on this studio as I’d been wanting to get my nose re-pierced. They welcomed me without an appointment. I waited a bit but was handled with care and love my piercing. They are a one-stop shop offering the jewelry, after-care and tattoos. I’ll be back when I decide on a piece of art.

Awesome shop and tattoos. I was a walk-in and got Lorenzo as my artist. He was not only professional with me but also provided honest feedback to the piece with what I wanted to get accomplished.. Truly did an awesome job. Linework and shading were on point. Although he is headed to Houston in a couple weeks, this studio will always have great artists on deck, and Will definitely return again. I had been to Steele and Ink for my first tattoo, and decided to go back for my first piercings. Mackenzie was amazing!!! She had a gentle touch, and I barely felt anything. Everyone else was also extremely professional and knowledgeable. I can’t wait to go back again for my next tattoo or piercing.ADDENDUM: I recently visited Steele and Ink for my second tattoo. Jacob did a fantastic job, just as Mackenzie and Brandie had done before him. I can’t recommend them enough. They’re just fantastic.

Ive gotten tattoos by both Brandie and Aleenah and they are both amazing and the quality of their tattoos is off the charts. I took my daughter there to get an industrial piercing and Rayne was super informative and thorough. Everyone that Ive interacted with in the numerous times Ive been there have been awesome! It has become the only place I will go for tattoos or piercings and I recommend them every chance I get. Love this place!

Rachel is amazing! I came in April for a half sleeve tattoo and had two sessions with her. I explained what I wanted, showed her a couple of photos, she did everything I wanted and she did such an incredible job with it. She also checked in during the session to make sure I was okay or if I needed a break. She’s the best! I get compliments on my half sleeve almost everyday! ❤️

Overall and hands down the best tattoo parlor. Sean is a great artist and who I go too but confidently can speak that every artist is talented and can provide whatever bad decision you decide to make permanent after a solid brunch day 🙃.

My experience was absolutely amazing! Ive had other tattoos done by different artists at other tattoo shops, and none compare to Steel and Ink. The staff are friendly and engaging, not to mention my tattoo is absolutely incredible! Sophia was the artist, and she did a phenomenal job.

Professional, sanitary, and good artists. They even worked me in when I accidentally came a week early. Good people there, you should give them some business. Tyler (my artist I think) was awesome, patient, and had to listen to me blather on for hours, ADD sucks.

I am in love with this shop! I’ve gotten 2 tattoos and a nose piercing and never had a bad experience ! The safe is amazing and so welcoming! I would come into the shop just to talk to the staff!! 10/10!

Haven’t been to a tattoo shop in forever and these guys know how to do it right! So many places are short staffed or simply just don’t have but 1 or 2 artists on staff. So appointments are the only way most shops operate. That’s fine and dandy if you know what you’re doing 2 months from now.Get there when they open and you have a better chance of getting in right away for their walk in artists. If it’s less than a 3-hr job you have a great chance of getting your new tattoo that day.Front desk staff are professional and know their $hit. Everything seems and feels clean, reliable and high quality. Rachel gave me a badass new tattoo and I think I’m going to going back way sooner than I had planned for more work.

I got a tattoo today from Tyler, and he did an AMAZING job!!! I couldnt be happier with my flamingo. He put so much thought into the colors, and it turned out beautifully. I will definitely be back and recommend to everyone :)

Would not recommend super unprofessional walked in for an appointment was giving one then told to wait two hours. Waited the two hours to be told no by the piercer Rayne. Its super aggravating to drive over an hour and them waste our time completely.

My go to forever!! Everyone at steel n ink is so friendly front desk always greats me by my name! I started getting piercings here and I’ve never had any issues with them plus they offer trendy jewelry and good prices. Shawn has done all of my realistic tattoos he goes above and beyond my expectations I always get compliments on my tattoos and piercings from them!

What a cool studio! I brought my mom in to get pricing on a Rosie the Riveter tattoo, and ended up meeting Fino. We talked about stretching lobes and ended up piercing with a 10g and immediately stretching to an 8g. He was super knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I will be back!

Renz did a phenomenal job. I’d give more stars if I could! The tattoo is from my favorite book series and he made it unique enough that it’s special, but it’s also true to the source material. He made sure I was comfortable and doing alright through the whole process. Definitely recommend both Renz and Steel & Ink!

Very clean and friendly studio! The entire staff from start to finish are the greatest! I have been there twice for 3 tattoos since October 2023. Their piercers are amazing as well. I won’t go anywhere else for tattoos or piercings!

I LOVE Steel and Ink. I wont go anywhere else. The artists are amazing, the space is open and clean, the atmosphere is awesome, and the prices are completely fair. Ive been tattooed by 3 artists here (one just recently moved out state) and I have had a great experience with each. The artists are honest, creative, and genuinely want you to have a positive experience, and walk out happy. I just got done with the first session of a big piece, and it is better than I ever imagined. Tyler absolutely crushed it! I have to go back for a color session, but he took great care of me! You will not regret going to this studio!!*note: it is on the second floor of the building, and the stairs are fairly steep, so accessibility might be a barrier for some people.

My friend and I can walked in to get our very 1st tattoo yesterday !!From the moment the staff greeted us to the moment we checked out, we couldnt wait to be back! The vibe from every single person in there was nothing but love and passion for their work!With it being our first tattoo, we were very nervous and anxious. But Lorenzo was so patient and kind and always had a smile on his face. He told us that the only thing that mattered was that we left happy and so no matter how long it took or how many revisions were needed for the drawing, he would do it until we were satisfied!His work was amazing! When I got home, I saw there was one area that needed a revision. I reached out to him and he replied immediately and told me to come in the next day and would fix it for me on the spot!!It was such an amazing experience that I have my next two designed and ready to go!!The best place in town! Dont miss out!!!

Walked in to get a little information about a large piece and for something little. Rachel was able to sit me down for the small one right away. Awesome staff, super clean space. To start, thank you so much to Fino, who was the sweetest, he was patient and understand, and made me feel very safe during my first piercing. I got my lobes done, and they look extraordinary. The blue opal earrings they use are super pretty, and the entire shop was VERY colorful and unique. It felt extremely welcoming, and I think that helped to get rid of my stress and anxiety about the situation. Id absolutely reccomend, and would come here again.

I came from out of town as a walk-in and they were super busy but so amazingly friendly. The artist, Brandi, really helped me designing a custom piece in honor of my mother. I highly recommend going here if you are looking to get ink and are anywhere near St Louis.

I love this studio so much!! Everyone is so nice and helpful, I’ve got a tattoo and 5 piercings from here and I haven’t had a bad experience. Most recently I got my vertical labret done by Rayne and I love it so so so much! It’s so pretty and the placement is perfect! She’s so nice, she explained everything as she was doing it, and was so helpful because I usually feel woozy after piercings/tattoos. She literally fanned me with a binder when she didn’t have to and looked for juice for me. The service is so amazing, they go above and beyond always!

Would never go anywhere else for piercings! I have an upcoming procedure where I have to remove all my jewelry, and both Ava and Fino were amazing. I didn’t know about retainers before, but I went home with a few of them so that I don’t have to worry about my piercings closing while already worried about my surgery. Everything about this shop is perfect! The shop is clean and all the artists are friendly and professional. I have been there 4 times now with 2 more sessions being booked this year. I have been tattooed by 3 different artists, and they have all been quick to respond to inquiries and worked tirelessly with me to create perfect pieces. Booking is also easy! I have tried to book with other shops before and I don’t get the same professionalism and treatment that I get from Steel and Ink, so I won’t go anywhere else!

I walked in yesterday to see my artist, Aleenah. I was so pumped to be at Steel and Inkagain! My family heritage is welsch. Aleenah created an original welsch dragon for me while respecting the traditional historical emblem. When I saw the finished product I exploded with joy! Every tattoo Ive received at Steel and Ink has left me feeling more content and complete. Im forever grateful. If youre considering giving Steel and Ink a try, hesitate no longer. Steel and Ink Tattoo is the place to go! I have 9 tattoos so far between the artists Aleenah and Rachel (thanks ladies!) and get constant compliments from people about the detail they have put into them. Ava also does a great job getting you checked in and keeps the front desk running efficiently so clients get taken care of in a timely manner. The business overall is nothing short of amazing! I’ve been to this location three times now - once for nose piercing, again for a jewelry change and then recently for a simple line work tattoo. Each time was an extremely pleasant experience with super friendly staff. Very clean, and great service.

Amazing tattoo artists, atmosphere is off the chain, I have for 4 tattoos from steel ink and getting more. I would recommend 10 stars.

Mackenzie did an amazing job. Several months ago she pierced my daughter’s second lobes. The first holes were ever so slightly uneven, she was able to conceal this. She also re-pierced my lobes (they had healed completely) and pierced an outer conch. Absolutely love it. Healing was quick and simple. Shop is clean. They go above and beyond. Would recommend and will be back.

Clean place and friendly staff.Note: my nose was already pierced and I just wanted to purchase a new less bulky stud than what I had currently.Downside is that I was charged $30 for a stud and quoted $20 to have a piercer place it. Sounds like pricing for a new piercing.Overpriced in my opinion.

Ive gotten 2 tattoos there and have never had any thing to complain about. Staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I know I will return hope to see you there as well.

Great experience there getting my 15 year old’s nose pierced. Mackenzie explained everything and was a calming presence.

I got my tattoos done by Sofi. She was amazing and so kind. I’m not much for talking but she did not care and created my ideas so perfectly. I would say as a women wanting a more feminine touch with tattoo shops this place is it. I felt very comfortable being there.

Fino pierced both of my ears and was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and friendly during the piercing process. He explained to me the process of taking care of a piercing as this was my first one. I will definitely be returning in the near future to have some tattoo work done.

I am 49 years old. I went to the studio for a under the lip piercing with no explanation of the problems it could cause. The piercing broke inside my mouth from eating three times and chipped the back of my tooth. I went back to have nose pieced instead because of this reason. The lady at the desk said she would not charge me for the trouble for piercing I just needed to buy the jewelry. I left a 10 dollar tip twice for piercer as well. The piercer said come back in two weeks to have the inside pierce connector changed. I go back two weeks later which should have been included for no charge for piercer which I would have left another ten dollar tip. The female owner said I had to pay for the piercer and connector which was not what was discussed. My tooth fix is about 1500 dollars. While I was talking to the rude female owner her husband who works there came over and started screaming at me telling me to get the f out of the shop now. I was calm the whole time. He keep threatening me to leave agressevily. I told him to call the police since he was the agresseor. I left the store calmly and upset. I would not recommend this store. Very rude and unprofessional owners.

My daughter and I both had piercings done here. I had my nose done and she had a industrial ear piercing done. We did these at separate times and both times the people walked us through the process, everything was super clean, they are VERY knowledgeable and they have everything ready for your after care. If you have any issues during after care they are there to answer any and all questions or to take a look at things. My daughter changed her piercing a bit to early causing a small issue and they were able to look at it and tell us what we needed to do right away. I highly reccomend them for any and all piercings needs.

Love this place. Just got my 6th tattoo (4th from them). I have had my nose pierced twice here. They all do such a great job. Also took my son for his 1st tattoo here. They are so patient with everyone.

Sofie and Tyler were amazing! They helped my mom, my sister, and me develop the right tattoo from our idea and they did amazing work! Their line art was perfect and it turned out exactly how we wanted it. I am so glad we decided to go with Steel and sink as they were helpful and time efficient.

Had Sofie who did my tattoo a few weeks ago. absolutely love it and she was great. Very hygienic. Would have given 5 stars but she couldn’t seem to stay away from her phone. Even mid tattoo she would get on her phone. Other than that, everything was great! (She switched gloves)

Brandie is a tattoo Master! She has worked hard to provide me with truly custom art. People that have seen it are absolutely blown away. I cant wait for her to come back so we can complete the project.

My daughter and I chose this place, based on reviews, to get our noses pierced. The piercer was outstanding and took good care of me when I got fainty. The positioning is perfect and its healing magnificently. We couldnt be more happy. She also helped my other daughter with a nearly year long problem with a cartilage piercing. Highly recommend.

Friend brought me here for a septum, love how they talk you through everything and are super friendly the whole way through, and make sure your safe, this is the best epically for someone like me who doesn’t do well with needles. Best place in my area especially compared to others. Would recommend!

Got two piercings here!The first one was with Fino, and he was amazing. I was nervous and he handled it very well and I had a great experience with him!The second one was my helix - she pierced it five times without warning, which hurt a lot. As well as that, she did not tell me the price before hand and it ended up being around $150 with tip. Helix is $40 (as listed on the website) but she charged me $60 for the actual piercing? She pierced it 5 times without warning, I thought I would get a discount for that? As well as that, we were not told the price of the jewelry, which ended up being an extra 40-50 dollars.Basically, Fino is awesome, and ask to see the price of the piercing before it is done.Also the doubles did end up closing up after a few months, even though I was cleaning it twice a day. They got blood blisters and I cried while taking them out. I honestly don’t blame the piercing shop for this though, my ears are just extremely sensitive.Side note: I did ask questions, she said that the needle malfunctioned. That’s okay that the needle wasn’t working, but please just tell me when to breathe instead of just piercing my ear 5 times while saying nothing. I also would’ve liked to be informed as to what was happening each time, as I was very very confused in the moment.I wish I had asked about the price, as I am still very confused.

A great place to get piercings. They offer great information about exactly what you’re getting done and provide you with the correct after-care routines, unlike many shops around St. Louis. I got my ear lobes pierced here, but also have experience with other shops around the Jefferson county area. In my opinion, Steel and Ink is the most sanitary, safe, fairly priced, professional, and friendly environment to get piercings done in the county. I would also feel very comfortable getting tattoo work done here, as the artists have a large range of different types of work done in their portfolios. Very precise, gentle, clean, and detailed work is being done here. If you’re into expressing yourself through body piercings and body art, you should definitely consult an artist at Steel and Ink. I walked in with no appointment and was put with Lorenzo. He did an awesome job on my Tat and we had the greatest conversation during that time. I mean we talking about our upbringing, families, my occupation, and it just took my mind away from what he was doing. Got my septum done today! They took my walk in and got in and out quickly! Fino was super professional and nice, and walked me through EVERYTHING he was gonna do. The girl at the front desk was also super nice.He cleaned my nose and changed gloves after moving the piercing chair! Super sanitary!The total of the piercing and the saline to clean it was about $69, awesome price and totally good for the quality!

I walked in and got my first tattoo. I knew they did good work because they did almost all of my mom’s tattoos. They took my concept and made it into a reality and I’m super happy with it!

I brought my daughters here to get their belly button pierced yesterday. To say they were nervous is an understatement, but also excited! I have spent eight 3-4 hour sessions with Jay to get my beautiful watercolor tattoos. He covered two of my old tattoos flawlessly. I enjoy coming to the shop, much like going to the hairdresser, only with more excitement. Why? Because these guys are fun to talk and listen to, and the experience matters as much as the art does. His style is unique. He tailors the colors appropriately to you and your tone and infuses his own art into the design. I highly recommend Jay and this shop!

Ive gotten 5 piercings here in the past 2 months (Daith and 4 lobe piercings). I have 5 more planned for the near future, just need these ones to heal then Ill be back in! I even brought my boyfriend in a week after I got my first piercing here and he got his nose pierced. All around great experience, great environment. This shop is always clean and sanitary, and everyone is always friendly. We really trust Fino as our new go to piercer, and I highly recommend him for any of your piercing needs. I got my first tattoo and have gotten multiple piercings done here and theyve all been great! Brandie did my tattoo and she did an awesome job. I came in with a design already done, but she still made sure it was exactly the way I wanted. The whole process was so much easier than I thought it would be. The same with my piercings! I’ve went here for both of my tattoos, and i just brought my boyfriend in for his first one as well. we had sofia do our tattoos and she was just great. she drew up what i wanted exactly how i wanted it!! she did it perfect along with my boyfriends, and she made him feel comfortable for his first tattoo. she constantly asked if we were okay when we were getting them, as well as kept complimenting our ideas and how much she liked them. she’s the sweetest tattoo artist and makes plenty of conversation as well to make you feel more comfortable!! she’s great and the business is great as well!! i always feel welcome as soon as i come in, all the workers and artists are super nice and welcoming.

After being turned down rudely at another shop, my girlfriend and I came to Steel N’ Ink. I have gotten my septum pierced here (amazing experience) and have been back a couple of times for rings. The customer service was excellent, the women at the counter listened to what my girlfriend wanted, found out we needed an appointment for it, and scheduled it with just a little bit of a wait. She was polite, friendly, and understanding. We now have appointments for next week which I am positive will go the same way. Thank you for not using your experience to undermine guests, and for listening and sharing your creative process.

I will never go anywhere else for a piercing! My friend and I came in today with some slight anxiety, she was getting her nipples done while I got my belly button pierced. Rayne made us feel so comfortable and was incredibly nice and informative. She talked throughout the process and made sure we were doing okay. Absolutely loved her!

I am 15 and went in for a nose stud. MAKE SURE if you’re underage to bring your legal guardian and the consent form notarized. i had Brandie as my piercer and she was very sweet and calming with a friendly presence. it went by quick and only hurt like a pinch. very clean and sanitary and she explained everything very well which made me feel very comfortable. she also made SURE i liked the location. not really expensive, overall i LOVE the piercing, and am extremely happy.

My daughter (11) came here for her first piercing. Everyone was kind, good with kids, efficient without making us feel rushed at all, and I felt comfortable that they are being careful during these covid days. Would recommend!

Let me wait for an hour and a half to tell me I couldn’t get a tattoo because they didn’t have enough time. I live 2 hours away, should have told me no over the phone when I called. I was going to go back but not worth my gas or time. That was extremely unprofessional and for what I was asking for would have been a fast tattoo. My money spends anywhere!

I need help, i got my daith pierced August of 2021. The shop was super nice, clean, professional, and the woman who pierced my ear was amazing. My sister also got the same piercing on the same day, but I am still having issues. My piercing grew a bump about a month after the piercing. I have tried almost everything to get rid of it. It’s now huge, red, still crusty, and I am out of ideas on how to get rid of the bumps. They hurt super bad. Any ideas that might help? the jewelry that was put in is titanium (i still have the original jewelry from the piercing)

My overall experience at Steel and Ink has been exemplary. I have gotten five tattoos so far and have been very pleased with the professionalism and quality of all of my tattoos. The staff have been great to work with and I have to give a shout out to my artist, Brandie Medina, for her care when doing the tattoos and for her creative work with making/designing all of my tattoos exactly how I wanted. Brandie has such a caring personality, is upbeat and makes you feel as you are a part of the family. Everyone else in the shop is the same way. You always feel welcome when you are there. This speaks volumes when I say that I already have 2 more planned and am always excited to get them. I have to add that my family also goes to Steel and Ink. We would not even think of going anywhere else. Everyone who sees our tattoos always comments on how great they look and I know that Steel and Ink have ended up with friends of ours going there also with the same satisfaction. All of the artists at Steel and Ink are great.

The piercing precise was super simple! The front desk got me in very quick for a Saturday impulse piercing. The piercer was awesome and explained everything well. The process was seemless and the place spotless. Would definitely go back again!

The male piercer is awesome!! I cant remember his name but he pierced my 9yr olds ears and he talked to her, explained every step, encouraged her, and went at her pace. He also in a round about way subtly asked for consent to even touch her ears. He also did a piercing on me and was awesome!! I did ask for a tattoo consultation and did not feel very welcomed & seemed like it was inconvenient for her to talk to me, so I havent even tried to schedule an appt for a tattoo but will definitely be back for my piercings.

Had gotten a matching tattoo there recently with my sister and the place is so homely and extremely clean. The staff are incredibly friendly and patient, especially since I was so indecisive with my tattoo!

The jewelry they used was terrible, it got stuck and the piercer never told us what type of jewelry it was to get it out. They used a way thicker needle than anywhere else i’ve gotten piercings, and it was insanely expensive. Maybe the tattoos from here are better.

I was out of town and decided to get my belly button pierced. I had a great experience, I just walked in. The whole process was quick and easy. The girl who did it did a wonderful job. The place was clean (which is highly important to me because Im a nurse) I barely even felt it. I highly recommend this place.

Came here in December 2017 for nipple piercings and thought the price and service was great. However, I had to remove my piercings six months later because the aftercare they recommended was to use spray on sea salt water twice a day and the woman that pierced me (dreadlocks, was very angry and cursing while she was arguing on the phone with whoever in the room with me about the shop’s air conditioning issues) used extremely thin curved barbells, externally threaded. I didn’t know any better at the time or I would have known this is NOT the standard for nipple piercings and should be avoided unless you have circumstances requiring curved. I do not. Never use externally threaded barbells, they fell out all the time and collects germs which probably was part of the reason why they never healed correctly. Really do your research before you get piercings here and ask for someone that is licensed and goes to workshops regularly to make sure you are getting the correct jewelry in your body and you are getting the best information about the aftercare process. I had to learn on my own how to soak them.I went to multiple piercing shops in KC and Columbia after I moved to try to get help with my piercings before eventually taking them out and each shop recommended me to take them out and get them repierced correctly after they healed each time. I can’t begin to say how unenthused I am to have to go through that process again, especially because I wasted $65 here. The shop is really clean and the people were friendly and welcoming to me, I was really nervous to get this specific piercing done and it went smoothly. Just didn’t get done correctly.

Got my 9 and 5 yr olds ears pierced. Raine was so sweet and welcoming. Great with two nervous kids. My daughter was only able to do one ear but we were told to come back for the other when she was ready. Came back Monday after being there Saturday, Raine was working saw my daughter, remembered her name and got us in and out no tears. Couldnt recommend them more. I got a few piercings here with Fino and he was great. Hes a very chill dude and does not rush customers. I initially was going to get more piercings at one time and he recommended I get only 2 so the healing goes better. Other ppl might have just done what they had to to get the money but Fino knew that a positive healing experience was more important.He explained the process and jewelry types before he did it. I already have plans to go back to get more done with him.

I got my nose pierced by Fino and he was very nice. He explained everything he was going to do and he explained everything you need to do to take care of it. I’m 14 and this was my first one and it didn’t hurt bad at all. I came in around 4 days ago to ask him to fix it because the inside piece was falling down and he was very careful. This place is great I would highly recommend it. All together it was only $50. You also watch him take the needle and everything out of the package. The place is also very clean.

Best place Ive been too. Super hygienic environment with super friendly staff. I had Jay do my tattoo. It was a spontaneous thing I didnt even really know what I wanted and he drew something up just going off a few pictures and listen to what I wanted. Was an AMAZING price and the best tattoo I have. Fino, the piercer, was great. Took his time explaining every step and answering my questions to make sure I was comfortable. Asked if where he placed the guide dot for my piercing was good, and offered to adjust it to make sure it was what I wanted. Very clean and friendly environment. My conch piercing looks great 🙂

I just got my industrial pierced and the nice lady that did my ear was so gentle so nice and really understanding this was my first painful piercing and she was so nice and sweet I will be definitely coming back to get either another piercing or when im older get a tattoo i highly recommend going here if your new and wanting a piercing

I have been to a few different shops over the years for my first four tattoos trying to find a place I liked. None compare to Steel and Ink. I have gotten my last three from there and refuse to go anywhere else now. Brandie, Shawn and Jake have done my last three and they all were amazing to work with and do amazing work. I also got my nose and eyebrow pierced there two days ago and they walked me through every step of the process and told me what to expect. Other places I have been to have never taken the time to do that. Love them and now refuse to go anywhere else. You will not be disappointed!

Shawn was absolutely outstanding. I gave him a two year old snapchat scribble concept, and was blown away by what he had drawn when I came in. Similarly, by the time we were finished, I was just amazed. Like a true artist, he went even further than I expected and it is unreal how real this piece looks. They also had a great special on piercings, and the staff was all around great to work with. I will definitely be back for future work.

Especially Fino my whole experience was above and beyond what I expected.I got my tattoo done right before covid and I thought thought the cleaniness was taken very seriously. Ive gone here for a few tattoos, first and foremost! The prices are incredibly fair!!!Second, every tattoo comes with a free touchup if needed, my artist even touched one up after 2 years of not being able to get in there to touch it up and he completely redid the entire tattoo free of charge.Third, I had gotten a cover up tattoo that turned out so much better than I couldve ever imagined! (I had the same artist everytime) he figured out the best way to position it and shade/color for optimal covering. I highly recommend this place no matter what part of the city you live in. Dissatisfaction isnt even a relevant term when referring to Steel and Ink Tattoo Studio. If you go anywhere else, have fun trying to sleep at night knowing it couldve been better at S and I.

From the moment I walked in I felt welcome and at home. The man working at the counter had me flip through artist books and helped me pick the artist that best suited what I wanted. I picked Jake even though all artist were great. He drew my tattoo and it was above and beyond what I had wanted and the tattoo was very easy to sit through with how little it hurt compaired to my others. I wanted to get a couple dermal implants so I looked online and found Steel and Ink. I called ahead of time to make sure someone was there who could do them and the person on the phone was very nice and professional. When I got there, I was impressed by the professionalism and efficiency of everyone in the shop, even though they were very busy. Brandie did my dermals and she was great! I did an Industrial pricing a while back for my first pricing. They where super nice even when i almost passed out (i didnt know to eat before hand) they gave me something to eat and made sure i was okay. Had me come back after a few weeks to make sure everything was going well. Im totally going here for all of my tattoos and piercings! Yesterday I got a matching tattoo and it looks so amazing!Derrick did such an amazing job! He even let us stay to finish mine! He also helped a lot with nervous because it was our first tattoos. Been tattooed at steel & ink more than a dozen times all with the same artist Jay Johnson I’ve never had a bad experience and he is always quick to respond to any idea that I have in mind no matter how short notice. The entire staff is friendly and they all work their very hardest to make your vision come to life. I wouldn’t trust anybody else with my tattoos or piercings!!

Absolutely love my daith piercings. My friend and I came in and had both ears done. Fino was a phenomenal piercer and exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. He made the experience next to painless! Definitely recommend and would do it again!

Had Lorenzo as my artist and had the best experience I’ve ever had getting a tattoo. Very clean and professional. Environment is very friendly and would highly recommend anyone wanting a high quality tattoo to come here. Definitely will be back to get more work done!

I’ve gotten almost all my piercings here besides my lobes. I first came here to get my nose and belly button pierced, and have had no problems with either of those. I later came to get a daith and it also went well. Today, I went to get a septum piercing from Brandy, and because my nose had too much cartilage, we had to use a bigger ring, and I honestly wasn’t happy with it (which isn’t her fault at all). She happily offered to take it out and pierced my conch, which I’ve wanted for a long time, with no additional charges so I didn’t waste any money! She was so sweet and calming and I was so relieved. Thank you Brandy! Also, Fino is amazing as well :)

First tattoo for both me and my younger brother, and I couldn’t have hoped for a better experience. JD was our artist and he was wonderful and very talented. We both got exactly what we wanted and he worked very quick. The place was very clean. All of the staff members were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place and JD. Went to get my daith piercing. Was not disappointed! Excellent staff, and they are very helpful and knowledgeable (Fino rocks). A little pricy, but it was worth it! Made sure I was comfortable (and not in pain). Piercings will heal with no problem if you follow the cleaning guidelines (I didn’t, so they’re infected, but that’s my fault). Great place!Update: My daith piercings are completely healed, and they look great!

Love this shop, everyone is very friendly and professional. Chill, laid back atmosphere, everyone is welcome. Brandie has done a great job on my back piece, she came up with awesome ideas for color and design. I have recommended this shop to several of my friends and will be going back for any future tattoo work.

Steel and Ink is the greatest tattoo shop! They were very polite and professional and they were able to cover up an old tattoo I didnt like. The new one was very colorful and well-detailed and you couldnt even see the old one! Awesome work! I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a memorable tattoo experience.

Jay Johnson did my Cardinal bird tattoo that I have on my right shoulder in honor of my dad. Jay did a great drawing. He was fun to talk to and I enjoyed the whole experience. My mom was there, as well, and she got to be part of the process. The final product looks great. I have received countless compliments and really love how it looks. Its like my dad has my back. So many thanks to Jay!

Fino is awesome!!!! I got my nostril pierced with him a couple weeks ago; he was very fast, clean, and efficient, and he made me feel very comfortable. Today, I woke up and found that my stud had fallen out overnight. I wasn’t able to get it back in myself, so I went up to the shop on my lunch break and Fino got right to me. He had to stretch the hole back open to get it back in, and again he made me very comfortable, was super fast, and didn’t even charge me to do this. Thanks Fino!!!

Shawn in the best! I went in for a cover up tattoo and what I got wasn’t what I expected. It’s everything and more! I am absolutely in love. The line work is AMAZING and the shading really pulls it all together. Super chill environment too! Definitely will be coming back for more. :)

Steel and Ink has been the best place Ive been to. Brandie has done my Ariel half sleeve, and I cant even put into words how perfect it is and how happy I am with her work! They all are very friendly there and make you feel welcome. Definitely not going to any other place anymore!
