First tattoo! Big deal for me as I waited till I was 36 to get my first tattoo! Jack Davis was excellent! Super professional and truly cares about his craft. He made me feel comfortable and we had many many different conversations from Art to personal adventures. He specializes in stippling tattoos. Take a peak in his sketch book its worth it! He also loves a challenge. I had a fairly simple request but we talked about what would be cool and challenging because he loves that kind of work. Check out his IG too!

Everyone at the shop is always very nice and welcoming.Chris always makes sure your comfortable and like the placement of the tattoo. Always double checks your happy with it. Very good artist and a great tattoo shop.

My girlfriend & I were in town for vacation & saw that this place was highly rated, so I was excited to get a simple minimalist orange juice box to represent florida. unfortunately i felt like zoe’s work was sloppy & rushed, down to way she even wrapped my tattoo up & my girlfriend didn’t even wanna get her tattoo anymore because she agreed. I paid $120 for a tattoo that took maybe 20 mins & told her it was fine because I’d rather try to get it fixed by an artist I trust at home than have her try to fix it & possibly make it worse. Everyone was nice but I think it’s respectable when an artist can admit they can’t do a piece.

Chris C. added to my moon and sun tattoo he did a year ago today. Totally came up with impressive designs of mandalas surrounding that tattoo. Looks like they are in the background not to take away from the moon and sun. Chris makes you feel comfortable and is very gentle handed. You can tell he really enjoys his work. I would highly recommend Chris for your next ink! Until we meet again to finish our next idea Chris!

My little sister and I have been wanting matching tattoos forever but needed to find the perfect artist to make our vision come to life. Zoe was so incredible. Made us feel so comfortable and they turned out PERFECT. So grateful for the wonderful experience at the shop. 100% will be back!!!

I just recently got a tattoo done by Zoe with my sister and she did amazing!! I’ve been wanting to get this tattoo for awhile and wasn’t sure where to go and this was the perfect place. She was so kind to us and knew exactly what we wanted. If you want to get a tattoo here I highly recommend Zoe!

Chris Cupp did a Jersey Devil on my bicep. He came up with a better design which I really liked. He is focused to detail and added freehand trees to the background which makes the devil pop. Now we are working on flames to be incorporated on my elbow. Waiting to see his ideas! I chose Chris to do my tattoo after seeing artistic work done on my wife.

Definitely recommend Chris c got 2 pieces done by him and definitely going to get more. Another thing that makes him great is that he makes sure you’re comfortable at all times.

I have been working with Chris Cupp since he was at his previous location and I must say, his work is absolutely amazing! I’ve never ever had a bad experience with him! He’s been working a beautiful safari themed sleeve on my arm and he takes his time with detail, comes up with brilliant ideas & most of all my body art is absolutely beautiful, unlike no other piece I have seen and that is an important aspect to me — uniqueness! Every time I look at my tattoos it makes me smile. Anytime I consider getting work done I will be going to him, no doubt! I recommend Chris to everyone!!! I had a special tattoo done, for mothers day 2023, here. My entire forearm for all the world to see every single day. I was willing to pay whatever it cost to make it nice. Its a momma lion and her two cubs which represents me and by children. But when I look at it each day it makes me sad honestly. Just blah work. I never said anything until now because (1) I am not a confrontational type person and (2) I am afraid of backlash or upsetting someone I dont know. They may retaliate. The tattoo is off center, the baby girl cub is missing an eye. I feel it was very rushed and a lot of detail was left off. I should have said something at the time. But the adrenaline and excitement in the moment is distracting. I have a lot of tattoos and really love them all, I regret none including this one. I just think its a shame that an artist does not want to put forth excellent work as a reflection of his company and career. Your clients are your living marketing campaigns. I would never recommend Foolish Pride to anyone.

So happy with my experience at Foolish Pride! JD McGowan helped me design my new fav ink and his attention to detail and artistry are impressive. The collaboration was incredibly helpful in bringing my first Star Wars tattoo to life. Thanks JD! Already planning my next piece. The shop team is incredibly helpful and friendly. I am super picky… I will not settle for anything going on my body, especially permanently that I am not 100 percent in love with! Brian was amazing (and super patient with me) asked me a lot of questions about the style and what I wanted, had me send pics of ideals.. which he got a lot of. Then matched me with an artist that he thought would be perfect for what I was looking for. I worked with that artist on what I envisioned for my arm. After a few conversations I got to see the first drawing! I was blown away! It was more than I expected or could have imagined! A few small tweaks and a week later I sat for my 1st of 3 sessions! Brian even came in sat with me for the first session (cuz I’m a nervous wreck when it comes to new tattoos).. Foolish Pride is amazing! And now it’s time for the other arm!

J.D. was the artist who did my chest piece and after four sessions the finished product is, for a lack of a better word, amazing. The line work and shading are the best I’ve had. The shop is nice, and everyone is welcoming. I personally enjoyed the 80’s and 90’s jams they play on the televisions and everything is sanitary without question. I’ll be going back again soon to see J.D.

Just recently had a cover up done on an old tattoo that I’ve had for about 11 years. It took me a while to research and find the right artist because I knew generally what I wanted, but didn’t have a design and I can’t draw very well…long story short, I picked Lefty (Nephtali Brugueras Jr.) after seeing some of his previous work and I couldn’t be happier. I only wish I had found him sooner and got the coverup done years ago. Lefty drew up an amazing design in just a few days and had me sitting for the tattoo shortly after. He was extremely responsive when I had questions and even incorporated some minor tweaks and personal requests into the design he drew up. Lefty is truly an artist and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for high quality work or a cover up. Now all I need to do is figure out what my next tattoo with Lefty will be.

It’s almost a year since I got my first tattoo and I’m still in LOVE with it. Really a wonderful experience. Super knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Honest. The shop is clean and I plan on going back for my second tattoo in a few years.

I’ve consistently come to Foolish Pride for about 5 years now and it’s never a bad experience. Appointment setup is very easy, everyone inside is super professional. My go to artist is always JD McGowan, he’s done over half of my tattoos and he’s one of the best in the business. The music in the shop is a great blend that everyone can enjoy, and there’s even a special treat for anyone who’s a fan of Nicholas Cage. The perfect tattooing experience.

I am very happy with JD’s work. It had been a long time since I had my last tattoo done...and I didn’t live in Florida at that time. So, I really did my research when I decided that I was finally going to get my Van Halen tattoo. I decided to go to Foolish Pride in St Pete. I am so glad that I had my consultation with JD McGowen. He seemed to know exactly what I wanted and he did such an AWESOME job designing it! Eddies guitar pattern inside the VH is perfect!! It turned out even better than I had hoped for! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get some work done. I was nervous at first, but JD kept the conversation going and I didn’t think that this tattoo hurt at all! The time went by so fast! It was a great experience. Clean shop and cool atmosphere. I will be going back to JD for any future work for sure!!

Zoe & Peyton are absolutely gems! I called to see if there was any availability and Peyton was so friendly on the phone and helpful. There was availability so I brought my friend and Peyton was just as much fun in person. Zoe is the artist that did our tattoos and she is fabulous! The entire staff here is very friendly and helpful . I felt welcome from the 1st. visit until my piece was finished.I had a consult with Trevor and immediately liked his attitude, we clicked and had a great discussion about what I was looking for. I burned up his email with photos and drawings of things that I liked some of which only had a single element that I liked. He digested all of the info and presented a drawing of multiple aspects artfully woven into a stunning drawing of the tattoo. I was totally impressed with the artwork, the approach, and the finished work, In short Trevor is an amazing artist that truly enjoys his work. He puts his heart into it and it shows - Thanks to the entire staff at FPT & especially Trevor !! (btw, the photo attached was immediately after getting the work done, taken in poor lighting. Also, going back for shading around the piece. - looks even better in the flesh!)

I got a flash tattoo from an apprentice named Jack. For only being an apprentice he was great, professional and had a light hand so it barely hurt. Definitely going back to get more work done!

My husband and I got our tattoos done at the Clearwater location on Mothers Day this year. Were both very happy with ours. I got 2 done and he got 1. The shop was clean and the employees were extremely friendly. Nephtali(Lefty) is my artist that I had work done and he did a phenomenal job and really made it a piece of art that I can now have on me whenever I go. I get tons of people complimenting me on how nice the tattoo is along with the other work that he has done for me and anyone visiting or in the area definitely recommend stopping by the shop. I travel 5 hours to get tattoo work done and its more than worth it.

I would not recommend getting a tattoo at Foolish Pride due to unwillingness to rectify a bad situation.I went in getting a design and work done by Johan. The work after the first session was great, and I was happy, but when I went for my follow-up, I was told that there was no appointment for me. They rescheduled me for another day. I get a call the day before letting me know that Johan had left the country. I was pretty upset by this, but what was more upsetting is how the Owner handled the entire situation. Originally when I was called, I asked what could be done, and was told nothing could be done and they were sorry. I asked it was possible to have another artist look at it, partial refund (So I can go find someone to finish it), or anything and was told no. I then I asked if my only recourse was legal recourse. I then received a call from the owner who was upset at me for threatening his staff with a lawsuit. Which is not what I said at all. He then proceeded to try to re-explain the situation. He said, I dont control people. He mentioned that he wanted to work with me, but when I asked what he was going to do. He proceeded to tell me there is nothing that can be done. I am still confused how working with me is not offering any solution to this problem. He told me his staff didnt have the expertise to finish the work, and that more than likely other artists would not be willing to touch it. I was pretty upset and was going to look at tattoo removal because having an incomplete tattoo isnt ideal if there wasnt someone who would finish.A friend of mine had mentioned that there was a nearby shop that would be willing to help me out. Doom Club Tattoo and NIck have been amazing in helping me out. They offered to take care of me in completing the tattoo and also offering to discount the deposit that I put at Foolish Pride Tattoo. That deposit wasnt even offered back to me. At this point even if they did offer it back, I wouldnt even be comfortable going to the shop based on how hostile the owner was towards me on the call. I fully expect the owner to respond to this review and continue to not take accountability for the situation and unwillingness to actually work with me.

Lefty did an amazing job on my spur of the moment tattoo! He very cool, kind and patient when trying to choose the location and angle. The Tattoo turned out way better than expected!!! I will definitely be back!

JD was amazing! He was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful -- he helped me with finding the best placement for my tattoo. JD designed my husbands piece, and he did a great job -- he took the concept and expanded on it in a beautiful way. Foolish Pride is very clean and comfortable. I went into Foolish Pride to get a memorial tattoo with my niece. Zoe took the idea, made some great suggestions, and created a great sketch. My niece and I walked away with so much more than we expected. Zoe is an amazing artist who is very kind and a gentle tattooer. Cant wait to come back for more. The receptionist is so sweet and makes you feel at home.

Walked in no appointment and they where able to fit us in. Nephtali did our tattoos and he was awesome, really nice and precise and made sure both the colored one and the black and white words turned out perfectly. Also made sure we felt comfortable and could take a break if needed. Absolutely loved everyone here and my new art.

I love my tattoos!! There really aren’t enough amazing things to say about Lefty. He is a true artist that will make your vision and ideas come to life. I have been be going to Lefty for the past several years…there is really no one else I would go to. I went for a tattoo and left with a friend. Foolish Pride is a professional, clean, and newbie-friendly tattoo shop. Reception is friendly and helpful, the decor is eclectic and fun, and the building is spacious. Nephtali (Lefty) helped me get my first tattoo, and I had such a good experience that I got my second tattoo with him as well. He worked hard to bring my creative visions to life by completing sketches on the fly during our consultations and providing a more complete sketch before the appointment, which I could help tweak. His skill as a tattoo artist is only matched by his positive and fun-loving attitude, which made the entire process a blast. He also offers free touch ups for life, which is a spectacular perk and proves that he stands by his work. I highly recommend Foolish Pride as a shop and Nephtali as a fantastic, fun, and professional artist.

Nephtali is such an amazing artist! I came in to get my tummy tuck scar covered up. I knew I wanted lotuses, but other than that I wanted him to do what he does best and make an art piece! He’s very professional, very clean and thorough! He made sure I loved it before he started. I was always comfortable! This tattoo came out better than I could imagine. You can’t even see my scar! The colors are vibrant and the lines are perfect! I won’t go to anyone but him! He’s done several of my pieces, but this one by far is my favorite! Thank you Nephtali!

This place is awesome. Never once did my artist try and persuade me to go a different route from the work I wanted done. They only made suggestions to assist in the detail which would make the ink pop right off the skin. I put Foolish Pride St. Pete as my go to and wouldn’t think for a second about going anywhere else. I go with JD, he’s done a large coverup on my right arm and we’re 90% done with my sleeve. This man is badass.

Beware of Foolish Pride Tattoo! I had the misfortune of getting inked at this establishment and it was an absolute disaster. Not only did they overcharge me for subpar work, but the owner seems to have disabled replies on their platforms, effectively shutting down any chance of customers defending themselves.The prices they quoted were astronomically high for the quality of service provided. The tattoo I received was sloppy, poorly executed, and didnt resemble the design we had agreed upon. When I reached out to express my disappointment, the owner remained unresponsive, leaving me feeling cheated and unheard.To add insult to injury, when I attempted to share my concerns on their social media platforms, I discovered that comments and replies were conveniently disabled. It became evident that Foolish Pride Tattoo doesnt want anyone to voice their dissatisfaction or share their negative experiences, which raises serious concerns about their integrity and willingness to address customer concerns.My recommendation to anyone considering Foolish Pride Tattoo is to steer clear. Save your hard-earned money and find a reputable tattoo shop that values its customers and takes responsibility for their work. Foolish Pride Tattoos unwillingness to address customer feedback and defend their actions is a red flag that should not be ignored.

Been using lefty even before he was at foolish pride. his work is amazing. was nervous when he moved to this shop since never been there. was amazed how clean and well set up it was. great service, friendly people. I make the drive from Minnesota to Forida just to get my work done there. you will not regret getting you work done there. be returning soon.

So i was super scared to get my first tattoo. I have been looking on line for awhile now and yes im 56 i know im a baby but i just wanted to get the right thing and the right person. SO i heard great things about this spot. I went in and spoke to Peyton at the front desk. So nice and welcoming didnt make me feel silly or old or anything > I explained what i wanted and she directed me to Lefty. Again i was really nervous But omg such a great person. I told him i wanted a small poppy on my ankle and im a bit skeamish with pain and such but he sketched out a quick design which was perfect. He then stenciled it on me to make sure the placement and size was correct. It was. The whole tattoo took less than 15 mins and no pain at all i was shocked. I already want to get more. THe shop was super clean and chill which is very important to me. I spoke to Brian who i believe is the manager or owner and he is hilarious. I recently was tattooed by Alyssa, who is an apprentice here. Their line work is SUPER clean, easily comparable to any of my other tattoos done by decades-seasoned artists. They were really thoughtful and mindful throughout the entire process, from flash selection to aftercare explanation, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the session. The piece healed really nicely and is settling in smoothly. I will definitely be coming back to Alyssa!

Foolish pride is probably the best tattoo shop I’ve ever been to. One of the artists Jaylen did a fantastic job on my traditional Japanese oni mask. I’ve gotten a few from her but that one was my favorite so far!

Greg did this tattoo for me, he beautifully re-created my moms tattoo. I am excited to go back Sunday for another forearm tattoo. I cant wait to see what he created and to get another piece of art work done. The next one is for my son who is in the band and Im very proud! Also, the staff and the other tattoo artist make you feel very comfortable, at ease.

First time getting tattooed at this shop and it was great! It was clean, everyone there is really friendly, and I couldnt have asked for a better tattoo artist. JD took my own drawing and put his own twists into it and it came out fantastic. He was super nice, explained the artistic directions he wanted to take and I will definitely be coming back to get more work done by him.

JD has done three of my four tattoos and I regret going to someone else for the fourth. JD is an amazing artist that has an eye for detail. His fine line work is nothing less than perfect. JD is very gentle handed and easy to talk to making the session more enjoyable. His prices are extremely reasonable.

I was SO nervous to get my first tattoo but Manikka made the experience so comfortable and exciting for me. We had a consult where she asked some engaging questions to get to the bottom of what I was looking to get tattooed. I am unhappy with my experience here. I went in with a rough idea, spoke to Johan who told me what I wanted wouldnt look good, so we worked together to design something else. It involved flowers and text. The text is asymmetrical and slopes down, and when I confronted the artist about it, he had the balls to say it was because of my scoliosis. Yet the stencil was perfectly straight. And it’s his job to make it look right. As it is healing, the text is getting thicker in some parts, which I am told means he went too deep.In terms of the flowers, borders overlap when they shouldnt and there are areas that are colored without a border. Its just sloppy . I would be embarrassed if I had done this tattoo. Needless to say, I will be going elsewhere to fix it.

I have had such a good experience at this shop! I feel really at home with the tattooers and even the owner is really nice. I cant wait until my next florida vacation. This is exactly where Im going to make my impulse vacation tattoo purchase this year!

My visit to Foolish Pride Tattoo turned into a distressing ordeal due to the owners inappropriate behavior. Not only did they fail to provide adequate service, but their unprofessional conduct made me feel extremely uncomfortable and violated. I strongly caution against choosing Foolish Pride Tattoo, as their actions demonstrate a lack of respect for customers and a blatant disregard for creating a safe and enjoyable tattooing experience.

Had the opportunity to work with JD and it was the BEST experience. From the initial consultation, he was very open and friendly and gave off the greatest vibe. He worked with me on the idea I presented to him and added awesome, artistic perspective. The tattoo time itself went easily and he has a very light hand which I totally appreciated (I also have a pretty good pain tolerance!). I LOVE THE TATTOO! It was everything I wanted and more. My sister and I went Saturday to get tattoos by JD. This was my 5th and her first. She was very nervous. JD took the time to answer her questions and put her at ease. I went first and must say out of all my tattoos this was by far the easiest. We did a saying my mom is known for saying to us and it turned out great. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Super happy with my tattoo and experience overall! My artist was Manikka but the other artists that were there had such great energies and they even helped me out when I accidentally dropped these little magnet rings I was fidgeting with and we couldnt find the third for a few minutes. Awesome experience! My boyfriend and I are here from Michigan and made an appt before we left home based on the reviews. I’ve never experienced such a good genuine interaction with other tattoo artists like I did with Alyssa.I’ve been tattooed in the past by others where they just treat you like a simple customer with no energy to interact or build any trust — I was so used to getting tattoos done in awkward silence by others.Alyssa makes you feel so safe and comfortable and will talk to you for hours. You’re definitely treated like family when you’re tattooed by them.There is a lot of love and passion put into the art that they create as well, it’s not just random doodles. Scheduled an overdose tribute tattoo half day worth of work with Kaitlin, sent inspo photos, paid deposit (never refunded or contacted). Never heard anything. Never received a draft idea of what it would look like. No confirmation. Nothing. Ended up going with a different shop & artist when the artist here never created a design or sent it as she said she would. This was scheduled originally scheduled May, then to Aug 2021. Who knew you needed to beg for a draft or confirmation, no draft that was paid for, no trust. I DID IN FACT RESCHEDULE DUE TO NOT HAVING A DRAFT AND REQUESTED ONE VIA PHONE. I was reassured that I would receive one prior to rescheduled appointment. After a second time of not receiving anything, confidence is pretty low with their professionalism. Likely why she doesnt work here any longer. Sure the review should have been done sooner, however covid life and being a widow with kids.... and the experience is still valid and applicable. Who wants an unknown tattoo and poor customer service with immature responsive staff?

Super clean place, with extremely friendly staff. JD did a GREAT job on my newest piece starting off my sleeve, they gave me a super fair price for the quality of work I received. Just got a very large piece done on my right arm there by JD and he did an amazing job. It was going to be my largest piece so I was a little nervous about choosing an artist, but after looking at his book, I knew he would do an awesome job. 3 Sessions later, and I am stoked to have this beautiful piece of art on me. Alyssa has been such a ray of happiness every time I go to them! I have 3 tattoos done by Alyssa and will likely have trouble finding another artist I feel the same level of comfort going to considering all of the effort Alyssa has made to ensure I had a great experience each time. I have about a dozen of tattoos prior to getting any from Alyssa and (personally) the environment and level of communication with a tattoo artist are two of the most important things I have in mind when getting a tattoo (aside from the tattoo itself). This is just due to past experiences I have had where the artist is very good at tattooing and produces really good work, but the experience has left sour feelings associated to the tattoo which can make a world of difference for the tattoo received and plans for future tattoos. Needless to say, this is why Alyssa is a 5 star artist. Their work is awesome, but anyone can look at pictures to see that which is why I felt it was important to share the things you can’t see from a tattoo artist’s social media page. I have still attached pictures of 2/3 I have done by Alyssa to show the awesome art, but if you’re looking for someone to give you your first tattoo or if you’re looking to get better experiences like I was, I will suggest Alyssa every time!

I came down from NJ to visit but my brother mentioned a few weeks in advance that he wanted to get a tattoo, I immediately thought of foolish pride because I heard so many great things about them! They did not disappoint quick replies through emails, the woman who took my phone call was crystal clear about everything I had zero questions when I got done setting up the appointment. Emailed my placement and design to JD and he did not disappoint!! He came up with an even better layout of the tattoo and I’m so happy with how everything came out. My boyfriend flew in from NJ this morning to finish out my vacation and he’s been on the hunt for an artist that can see his vision and better it when it came to his tattoo. JD started brain storming and by the end of the appointments my boyfriend and I are planning on flying back from New Jersey to Florida so JD can do his tattoo! If that doesn’t speak volumes for what an awesome artist JD is I’m not sure what will! He didn’t even show him any pictures till later in the conversation. Ive been coming to Foolish Pride for a few months now, I actually fly down from Jersey to have JD McGowan work on my sleeve. The atmosphere of the shop is relaxed and professional. JD took my scrambled ideas for a tattoo and turned them into an awesome sleeve. Even with it being my first tattoo, JD made it easy to sit for 4 hours hours on the first session. Worked with Meghan Freeman. The whole process of setting up a consultation, talking about the work to be done, and eventually coming in for my first appointment was quick and painless. Shop is super clean, and very meticulous about Covid precautions which was comforting. Everyone here is so nice and accommodating, and of course, amazing artists that uphold the reputation Foolish Pride kind of has around these parts. Meghan made awesome suggestions for my piece I hadn’t considered before which I ended up REALLY liking. I was just tattooed by JD and it was an amazing experience. He was able to tattoo my grandmother’s signature perfectly, even opened up some of the letters that had begun to smudge on the note that I got her signature from. The coolest sweetest people working here. I will definitely be back & will recommend to any one looking to get a new Tattoo.

Had a USMC tattoo done on my chest by JD to cover up a previous tattoo. The line work, coloring, and grey shading are out of this world! Extremely happy with this piece and the previous tattoo is not even noticeable! Clean equipment, great quality, great price! I will definitely be coming back for more tattoo work!

Ben (@bmilman74) was absolutely amazing.! My mom was visiting from Chicago and had get a tattoo while she was down here. Foolish pride was chosen because of convenience of location but boy were we lucky to have found this place! So clean and great vibes. Ben took 4 of us walk ins with no problems and was very quick. He makes for great conversation and his work is awesome! Definitely happy to have found a spot I can keep going too! Me and the family will be back!

Kaitlin did an amazing job on my mother and I’s tattoos. We are so happy with how they turned out. She did a great job making sure we were comfortable, answered all of our questions, and made us laugh, which is a win in our book! JD was so great! I made an appointment for myself and two buddies to each get a small tattoo and he did just splendid for each of us. Comfortable and clean environment, followed COVID regulations, and the line work was crisp. Also loved that Star Wars was on the TVs to help us unwind. Will definitely be back!

I enjoyed my experience here and I love my tattoo! I came for my birthday wanting something simple but not sure of all the specifics. The woman at the front was very kind and paired me with a great tattoo artist (I think his name was Matt) who gave me exactly what I wanted. There was complete understanding and care throughout my process. I would definitely return for my future tattoo ideas! My artist was Kaitlin Brock. I would highly recommend her! She was so sweet and accommodating. She made me feel like she really valued the sentiment of my tattoo and I felt totally comfortable in her hands. Which, with the permanence of the task, is an extremely important aspect. Her work is incredible and she makes the entire experience fun.As for the rest of the shop, 5 stars as well. It was a clean, cool environment. The entire staff seemed friendly and happy to be of service.

I went to Foolish Pride Tattoo Co. to get my very first tattoo. I was welcomed by very helpful staff, a clean environment, and was instantly made comfortable by my tattoo artist Kaitlin! She drew out designs for me, moved the stencil around a few times until it was perfect, and walked me through the whole process. She checked on me throughout to make sure I was okay and was very present with me. I will 100% be going back to her for future artwork and recommend this tattoo company and Kaitlin for your needs! First time here, on vacation with friends, planned on tattoos. Our experience with JD via email was courteous and professional. Upon arrival JD ran through the tattoos and was a great experience. The tattoos turned out great. Next time Im down here will definitely return!

Trevor-He was awesome and had a lot of patience. It was my first tattoo that was medium size (for me) he made it easy. I sent him a few photos and he drew something up and I loved it. I do plan on going there as much as I can.The shop was great and everything was very clean. Everyone was friendly from the beginning to the end. I would defiantly recommend Foolish Pride to anyone. The location is in a great spot also.

Where do I even begin, from the moment you walk into this shop you’re greeted by an amazing and enthusiastic staff. Everyone is so friendly and if that’s not enough reason to pay a visit, the artist surely put the experience over the top. I’ve had the pleasure of being tattooed here twice, both by Kaitlin Brock and I can honestly say each time has been an amazing experience. Whiskey was fantastic! This was my first cover-up and I couldnt be any more pleased with how it came out. Everyone at Foolish Pride Tattoo are super friendly and very professional.Since that time, Ive had to go back to Foolish Pride Tattoo for a touch up. Unfortunately, Whiskey was no longer working there, but I eventually had JD do my touch up. Not only was JDs personality fantastic, but he did an excellent job!

Was my first tattoo, I was a little hesitant on getting my tattoo because I was nervous and a little scared about the process. But Katie my tattoo artist was awesome and amazing! Made me feel at ease and telling me everything step by step of what was going to happen next. I don’t think i would go anywhere else to get another tattoo. Everyone was amazing and outstanding. Definitely felt like a family and it was my house.

Initially I was put off by the fact that I scheduled an appointment with Renee, but upon arrival was told Angelika would be doing my tattoo. Luckily this place is professional and each artist has a portfolio available to view. I checked out her portfolio and was quite impressed with her work. She had my design ready (I had emailed my artwork ahead of time) and started discussing the details with me. In no time at all she had the artwork sized perfectly and a stencil ready to go. She took her time with the tattoo and did a fantastic job! I have 8 tattoos total and the one she did is by far my favorite. Angelika is a great artist who is very personable and wonderful to work with. The shop atmosphere was enjoyable and relaxed. I would definitely recommend this place! I travelled all the way from Texas for this tattoo and Id most assuredly go back for another!

My friends and I walked in without an appointment and got great customer service. The girl at the desk is really nice & polite! JD and Victor immediately talked to us about our ideas and fit us in. Victor did my tattoo and he made sure to give me exactly what I asked for! They made it a fun experience, and the shop atmosphere felt very laid back and comfortable. Got my tattoo done couple of days ago by Meghan....she was absolutely fantastic! The piece was exactly what I wanted and turned out amazing! The experience was great and will go back again with Meghan for sure... (plus Meghan and Katie had me in stitches)... great atmosphere and great people.... We are so impressed by Meghan, not only did she do my piece, but also did my wifes and also my Daughters. GREAT SHOP!

Ive gone to a few other places, but this shop is by far my absolute favorite! JD was amazing and made my birthday an absolute blast! The attention to detail that he put into my tattoo was beautiful and I am so appreciative of how receptive he was to the designs I had already made, and how well he worked with me to get just what I wanted. He was very knowledgable about the content of what was in my piece and brought even more light to it. The colors are beautiful and he took my piece to a whole new level. I also had a lot of meaning to my piece, as it is a healing piece for me after a bad accident I was in. JD was so attentive to make sure I was alright as we placed the tattoo over the previously injured area, I could not have asked for a better experience. I definitely will be coming back to JD for all my future work! 💜

Kaitlyn is the best artist in all of Tampa Metro area. I just started my thigh piece with her and the work is UNREAL! What I started with was some bad work done by another artist in Michigan, and my expectations were blow out of the water when the session was over. I am truly amazed, not only by the great artistry but also a clean and fun atmosphere and all around good energy. I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECCOMMEND THIS PLACE. I have been to about 10 different shops and this one surpasses by miles.

100% positive experience. Everyone in the shop from the receptionists to the artists were so welcoming and positive. Got my first substantially sized piece done by Nick on my sternum. He worked super fast and was so great to work with. And he managed to deal with my super low pain tolerance like a champ. The tattoo itself completely matched my shop experience. I went in with a vague idea for a tattoo and walked out with a beautiful piece done by JD. 10/10 will be going back again. Very professional, clean, and friendly!Update: I went for a second, short session adding the flower of life to the elephant JD did last time. I absolutely love it! He’s a great artist, and a great person. I recommend going to him because he knows exactly what he is doing.

My kid did all the prep work with making the inquiry, communicating with the artist, and setting up the appointment for both of us, so all I had to do was basically show up. JD was great to work with from the start: friendly and professional, he was open to my thoughts and super knowledgeable in sharing his ideas and expertise. The finished product is the exact tattoo I never knew I totally wanted; SO happy with the end result. The most painful part of the visit was having to wear a mask the entire time BUT I totally appreciate the pandemic procedures in place, followed and enforced. Front desk reception and music was great fun while waiting too. Already thinking about the next tat...

Such an awesome experience at this shop! My beautiful piece was drawn and tattooed by Kaitlin who is knowledgable and clearly experienced, as well as super cool (not to mention a getting my tattoo done quickly and efficiently)! Had a really nice time chatting with her while I got this done. Very nice staff all around, and the place is so clean you can smell it in the air. Will definitely be going back for future work!

JD was my tattoo artist! He was absolutely amazing!!! He held a conversation with me the whole time (sorry!!!) That made me feel at ease. He did a cover up and it turned out awesome! I love it! All of the other artists that were there were very nice and interactive as well which helped pass the time and took my thoughts away from the pain. I cannot wait to go back!

JD is amazing! He took my sketch and made it his own. My piece looks amazing. I love it so much. Clean lines, bright vibrant colors, and he fixed my first tattoo that now sits beside it. I had a Snoopy and Woodstock that was disappearing, and his touch up on it made it brand new and better than ever. He took my Tigger sketch and fixed it in his way which I love. He made it his own, and I love the creative touch he put in it. 100% reccomend and will be back for more!!!! Thank you JD!

I had a flowral piece done by Meghan and it was a spur of the moment tattoo that ended up being such a blessing. It turned out better than I thought it would. I truly love my tattoo. All of my previous tattoo experiences were absolutely awful so I was hesitant at first, but she took the time to make me feel comfortable. She drew an amazing lotus flower on the spot for me and its crazy because it looks so intricate and well-thought-out, you wouldnt think it was done so quickly. She really was amazing and is artistically gifted. Everyone at the shop was really sweet and easy to communicate with. I had a wonderful experience and will most definitely return.

I went today to get a simple tattoo on my wrist. JD was amazing!! I was a little nervous since it had been over 20 years since I got my last tattoo. He walked me through the whole process, was hilarious and it came out beautiful!!! I am so happy with the result and with my experience. Meghan is absolutely amazing. She worked with me to come up with a perfect tattoo design to incorporate multiple flowers. Her space and the rest of the shop was very clean, and everyone was very welcoming! I loved the experience and loved working with Meghan! I highly recommend this shop.

This was my very first tattoo and I got my mom’s signature on my wrist. JD was so nice and personable. He made my first time a great experience. Me and my fiance got matching rose tattoos, and they came out AMAZING! J.R. Mitchell is a great tattoo artist and made us feel right at home. He makes sure youre comfortable before, during and after the tattoo process. Negotiated a price with us and it was worth every penny. I had a wonderful experience today at Foolish Pride. I was a walk in and asked if anyone had a few minutes to do some quick ink for something I was really needing. They were super nice and JD fit me in real quick before a consult. He did a beautiful job and was personable, as was the whole staff. I am 58 years old and this was my first ever tattoo. Manikka , my awesome tattoo artist, took time to listen to my story and created exactly what my minds eye pictured. My experience was so wonderful, I will be getting a second one! Very clean and safe and comfortable.

Kaitlyn was my artist and I can’t say enough about how grateful I am for this incredible human 😊 I had a large botched back tattoo that I given up on.2 artists and 15 years later I happened upon Kaitlyn Brock in St Pete. I reached out to her and shared my story along with my embarrassing tattoo on my back that had me self conscious for over decade. She replied and was not only so caring and empathetic but she shared in my vision and was inspired to tackle this project … my tattoo makeover. For the next 5 months she completely reworked my entire tattoo from top to bottom and made it her own. She not only wanted me to love the skin I’m in but she understood that every element of my tattoo had meaning and she truly cared. She has a super gentle hand and on the parts that were extremely painful she talked me through it encouraged me and was so patient. I could literally go on and on but I’ll end it by saying Kaitlyn Brock is the absolute best…I highly recommend her. Also the facility is sanitary , they are organized, fairly priced, and very professional…lastly did I mention KAITLYN BROCK IS THE BEST

I stopped on a whim to get a finishing touch on a tattoo Id had done elsewhere this summer. JR took me back, did exactly what I asked, and the piece now feels complete to me. He was great, very thorough and professional. We had a fun chat while he worked. :)The shop is clean, the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Got my first tattoo after thinking about it for years and Kaitlin did an amazing job! I love my new tat and she was so good about taking baby steps through the whole process so I would be comfortable and elevate any jitters. Really appreciate the care they take for their customers. Also, they play the best music videos and have framed photos of Nicholas Cage. Nuff said. 😆

This tattoo shop is beyond amazing! Kaitlin has become, in my honest opinion, my obsession as far as tattoo artist go! Her electric personality and her creative vibe definitely shows in her piece. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone, especially if your piece is colorful!

Not into reviews , but it would have been insane not to give props. Trevor was the first tattoo artist who ever made me feel like what I was inking into my skin was actually art. He found a way to make my piece come alive and was equally as impressed as I was. His insight, skill & overall craft cant be reckoned with. You may have a favorite artist but only because you havent met Trevor yet. Foolish Pride was a clean , chill & professional environment. Even the receptionist was cool. Highly recommend you check out their artists & staff.

I have been to a lot of tattoo shops, a lot. Foolish Pride is by far the MOST friendly, clean, professional, and overall positive environment ever. Every tattoo shop I’ve been to, the artists made fun of my old tattoos (that do need work) but just always make me feel self conscious and crappy. Why make fun of someone’s art? Well not the artists at Foolish Pride. I walked in expecting to be made fun of or something, but not one single negative comment. Not one!!! Katie Brock is the artist I had the pleasure of working with. She is absolutely amazing. I was expecting it to hurt a LOT more. She has such a light and precise hand. Her creativity is off the charts. I told her kind of what I wanted and she delivered above and beyond my expectations. She is a true artist. I made sure to grab a HUGE stack of her cards because everyone seriously needs to see her. Everyone whose been to a tattoo shop before needs to get the Foolish Pride experience. Seriously. You will leave with a huge smile on your face. Not only from pride with your new tattoo, but just the overall positive feeling you get being there. Tattoos take a long time, you want to feel comfortable where you are spending your time and money. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. You’ll end up grabbing a huge stack of cards just like I did. 10/10 would recommend every single time!!!!
