I was completely blown away with the level of detail, precision and true mastery to his craft that Fred brought to the table. He was very intentional, deliberate and did an amazing mock up on my tattoo. He took his time and produced something truly amazing. Fred was absolutely amazing. I came in with a fixer upper/ cover up tattoo. It was small and on the back of my neck however I was so unhappy with the original design considering it was not what I wanted. I showed Fred and immediately he was more than willing to take on this challenge. He texted with me so I could visually see his ideas and how to fix this tattoo. I will say I am over the moon with how it turned out. The attention to detail and the hard work put into this piece was incredible. Thank you for everything! I truly appreciate you! I’ve been going here for some time now, I’ve gotten 3 pieces done from Fred, and a cover up. Fred’s super open to ideas and he’s more than willing to help you out if you need it, the shops atmosphere is super dope and friendly. Travis is usually there when I’m in and he’s also a great guy, he will help out with any questions and he throws ideas in too. My tattoos look great and healed great. This place is a gold mine, I highly recommend!!!

I will never be returning here after my most recent piercing. I have had a couple different piercings from Travis and they were amazing, so I came back last Friday (01/13) to get my snakebites done. There was a different piercer (I didn’t get his name), and I had an awful experience with him. He marked the piercings unevenly at first, and then after I asked him to fix them, he pierced the bottom of the marks instead of the top, so the piercings were way too low. On top of this, when doing the first one, he lost contact with the jewelry and spent about five minutes trying to get it through the fresh piercing. He then had to pierce the second one twice because he somehow messed up the first time (he didn’t really explain and I was too freaked out at the moment to ask). He then put huge rings in, which are not supposed to be used for healing snakebites. They were large enough that I couldn’t even close my mouth completely. I went home and immediately took them out because the placement looked horrible and they were incredibly inflamed, as you can see in the picture (taken about 20 minutes after getting them done). I had them redone in the proper placement elsewhere. I wish I could get a refund because this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a tattoo shop.

Very nice shop clean and spacious. Got my first tattoo here loved it so much I got another one and bought my daughters here to get a tattoo. Friendly people. Fred did an excellent job on both of mine. I will definitely be going back to see Fred.

I’ve been to a number of tattoo establishments, but none are even close to Phoebus. Whether it is your first tattoo or your 10th, I highly recommend Phoebus. Amanda created a beautiful tattoo for me. Her attention to detail is off the charts. Professional, friendly, funny….she simply puts you at ease. Everyone in this shop is just a good person. Had long conversation with everybody. Fred is a awesome guy, I would call him king of patience for the level of patience he has while helping you choose a tattoo which suits your need for being a first time tattoo person like me. My wife and I both went to his place late in the evening and he was with us choosing the tattoo we need and then crafting and placing on us for a long 5 to 6 hours without any complaint. I highly recommend people to his place and I am now thinking to go for my second tattoo to him as well..

Fred is awesome. Hes super easy to get along with and work with. The work and detail Fred does is amazing! There was no rush and he does phenomenal work! Ill be going back to get more work done with him later and will encourage everyone to go see him to get their next tattoo.

Grizzle and Fred do amazing work. I really enjoyed the vibe of the shop and the attitudes of the artists. Everyone was really funny and friendly. I went with a friend to do blind tattoos where basically I picked one out for her and she picked something for me. Both the tattoo artists were thrilled and enjoyed tattooing us. I’ve had two tattoos done at this shop and I will a 110% be back.

Fantastic shop! Fred is brilliant and his work is amazing. He’s done two of my tattoos and I’m already planning more with him. Pricing is in range for his talent and he’s super easy to work with. His ideas and vision have been on point with mine and both pieces have come out stunning.Also got a nose piercing with Travis and that went well also! He explains everything and quite honestly it wasn’t that painful. My jewelry came out about three weeks later and I couldn’t get it back in, called Travis and he got it back in without an issue.Absolutely consider this shop for your next tattoo and/or piercing!

Awesome experience! Came down from New Hampshire on vacation and found them online and after reading reviews I decided To schedule an appointment. My experience here was an overall great time, and always is a great time. If you’re looking for a great artist that takes your ideas and turns it until real life, my man Fred is the artist for you. He’s sketched up something for me exactly how I wanted it to look like down to the last dot but also put his own twist on it and made it more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Once the rough draft is done I would come to the shop super excited to get this piece done, and when I left I couldnt have been more happy with the piece and how the experience went. Fred always makes me feel very comfortable, is patient with me, and lets me take breaks when and if needed. I’d be sitting there for hours and he’s one of those people where conversation flows so easily and I feel like I could talk to him about anything. That’s why he’s an amazing artist and person, he actually listens and cares about what his customers want. He never ceases to amaze me and never disappoints. The atmosphere of the shop was super relaxing and chill, everybody who works there are sweet genuine people. Id highly recommend going here if you live in the Tampa Bay Area. It was my first time visiting this shop, and it came highly recommended to me as well. The staff greeted me as soon as I walked in the door, and were very friendly and helpful, and had the answers to all my questions. I got two piercings done, and the artist put me at ease right away. The whole process - from walk in, to paperwork, to piercings, to payment - took around half an hour! It was all so professional, clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced that Im never going to go anywhere else for any piercing. Fantastic place & people!!

Highly recommend this shop! I’m glad I popped in on a whim. Right away, I noticed the impeccable cleanliness of the shop. While my tattoo is a small piece, I appreciate the time Fred spent making sure he nailed the details. Fred is very easy to work and made sure I was completely satisfied with the tattoo.

The experience is whats most important about getting a tattoo because a bad experience can make you regret even a good tattoo. That being said This place was by far the best tattoo experience i have had thus far. Fred is a very talented artist and a cool and nice person. Dude. The way Travis took absolute care of me today is beyond anything I can write in a review. I had read reviews about him online and learned he relocated. I did some research and found him here. The way people spoke so highly of him I wasn’t going to pass up the experience and after the experience I had today I’d travel just about anywhere to be pierced by him. He let me take so much time to prepare myself. I’m a crybaby and I don’t do well with getting pierced and I wanted 2 piercings today. He stayed so patient and relaxed and we ended up just talking about anything and everything in between the piercings. We for sure got lost in the conversation and since I was his last appt he said it was absolutely no big deal. I learned a lot about him that made me appreciate him even more as a person beyond just a piercer. He is damn good at what he does. Wicked accommodating. Made me feel so relaxed. And did a phenomenal job on my piercings as well. I’ll hands down be coming back and bringing friends here. Thanks again. Experience was top notch from the second I walked in to pushing open the door to leave. A billion out of 10 recommend. 🥰

Went to go get my nostril piercing and Travis was amazing! Highly recommend if you want to your nose pierced here! He made me feel comfortable and made me less nervous by talking to me before he started the process, he even had me laughing. It was quick and it only hurt just a little, I did feel light headed after the needle went through only because of how shockingly quick it was. He was so sweet to me and even had me lay down and offered me water and put a cold towel over my forehead, until I felt better. My overall experience with getting pierced by Travis was awesome and I love how it turned out. Definitely will go back for more piercings!

First and foremost I want to thank Grizzle for the phenomenal work he did. My wife and I just got married on June 26, and our honeymoon was in St. Pete. Due to covid we couldn’t so much, but we love it there and decided to get our matching tattoos. I have plenty of tattoos but it was my wife’s first one. Grizzle wasn’t just patient with us, he was very attentive with my wife knowing it was her first tattoo. His work is beyond amazing, I have my artist back home but I will for sure come back because Grizzle killed it!! He made our honeymoon extra special, and was extremely funny. I came in with a lot of questions and the guys here were phenomenal at making recommendations and not pressuring me to do something I wasnt comfortable with. I did two ear piercings and my friend got a tattoo and we are both thrilled with the results!! The guys here are knowledgable in their fields and great at their respective crafts. Highly recommend this place. Came in with a few ideas for a cover up and immediately felt at ease with the guys there. Very respectful and knowledgeable and they were honest about what would be possible and look best. Met artist Yoshi who was on my same wavelength and all around a great guy. Ended up getting the piece done that night, Yoshi was friendly and professional and he did exactly what I was looking for. Will be returning soon.

While the piercer was friendly and the staff kindly took my walk-in, unfortunately the conch piercing I received here was not a success. I was alerted by my tattoo artist that the size and quality of the jewelry used for my conch piercing were substandard, and this was confirmed by the piercer I saw to get it downsized, Christy Tooher. Ms. Tooher informed me that the piece of jewelry was not only too large, but also extremely low quality, and size-wise typically meant for tongue or nipple piercings.

Grizzle did my Fri the 13th tattoo and I absolutely love it. The lines are so crispy and he’s awesome. The shop as a whole has an amazing vibe. Super lax. Everyone was nice and helpful. 10/10 recommend :)

Travis was an absolutely fantastic piercer!! He pierced a third hole in both my ears, lobe only. I was pretty nervous, but he made me laugh so much and made the process as simple and painless as possible! Such a great guy!!! I found Phoebus after looking at several different artists around the area. From the moment I came to them with my idea they were really excited to do the tattoo and I didn’t get that kind of passion for the work from other places. This was my first tattoo and they did a great job making sure every detail turned out right and I really appreciated that. I would defiantly recommend them to anyone looking for some great quality work in a very friendly environment.

I was referred to Fred and Phoebus Tattoos. I have a piece of art...a Panamanian Mola...that is special to me and I wanted it turned into a tattoo. I knew it would be difficult and take several sessions to complete. Fred was great! I could not be happier with the end result. Walked in and showed the owner a photo of what I loved and he was able to sketch a BEAUTIFUL rose tattoo for me. He took his time to make sure it was precisely done and as detailed as possible. Great experience and will definitely be going back for my next tattoos :)

Let me just say that Fred is a great tattoo artist and he offers great prices on tattoos. He did an amazing job on my first tattoo and I love it so much.

Travis was incredible when it came to doing my ear piercings! I walked in with no appointment and told him I wanted my tragus and cartilege pierced (but wasn’t exactly set on the exact location of my cartilege). He stood and talked several options with me then took me back for the tragus. That was relatively pain free and over super quick. After that, he took 15 minutes marking up different areas of my cartilege and explaining pro’s and con’s of each. He was SO patient as I was super indecisive but he wanted me to be comfortable with my decision. We finally decided on double cartilege on the lower part of my ear...not quite as pain free but he still made the process as quick as possible to avoid unnecessary discomfort. I will definitely be coming back to him in the future, hands down!

I got some work done from Fred a few weeks ago. I would check his IG. The man is an artist. Fred was very professional, and made me feel very comfortable while getting the tattoo.

I went here thinking everything was very good clean and positive but everything was the total opposit once I let him to the 1st tattoo I found out he has handwriting like a three-year-old and I went back to him for Another tattoo And he did not take his time in blamed it on a badd night the night before not my fault so he had to touch up my arm I spent over $300 with him just on one tattoo and he touched it up I cant back in the yesterday to try to get tomorrows is added and he told me that hes not tattooing me again because he tattooed me for 2 hours for free which was a lie because he messed up my arm and my leg never ever going to refer him to anybody very badd customer service very badd work💯

Decided to get my first tattoo as a 50th Birthday present to myself, nothing fancy or outrageous, I was treated with courtesy and respect and felt right at ease. I have been back a couple times since and plan on going back for more!
