Lucky You Tattoo

While on vacation, we decided to get tattoos to commemorate our trip. Craig was able to schedule 3 matching tattoos. Him and his partner were very friendly, made us feel welcome and had a very comfortable setting for our afternoon in his shop. I would highly recommend this place being your first choice when you go to St. Pete’s and want a tattoo.

Wonderful experience! My friend and I were wanting tattoos on the last day of vacation and were so glad we chose this shop! Ash is an amazing artist who took their time, listened to us and made sure we loved our designs before starting, and they were very personable and easy to talk to the entire time. We called and were able to be seen same day. The vibe is welcoming and relaxing. Environment and tattoo area were very clean. We may have to fly back to Florida just for more tattoos in the future!

We dropped in here on a Sunday. We had been discussing getting this particular tattoo for nearly a year and finally pulled the trigger. The place was so well decorated and organized. As a type A personality I can appreciate when I see someone’s work reflect a methodical attention to detail of their craft. That’s exactly how Craig was. This ink is one thing that will stay with me for as long as I live and I appreciate it mattered to him.

Highly Recommend!! Wanted to start off by saying wow, what an incredible experience from booking to upon completion. The entire staff was amazing and very professional! I was looking for an artist that was proficient in dot work. Stumbled on this shop and drove over 10 hours to get this piece done. Craig did not disappoint. I like to also mention the how clean everything was! This shop takes a lot of pride in the work they do! Its like one big family in there, they all had amazing vibes and the energy is addictive. This piece from start to finish took a little over 8 hours, Craig never let up. He had the same concentration and focus throughout the entire time. Im also really impressed with the aftercare procedures. I did exactly as he instructed and I never scab. I want to say thank you for the amazing conversations and the amazing artwork you were able to recreate! Again highly recommend this shop!

I had gotten my first tattoo done at Lucky You Tattoo and it was AMAZING! The staff, experience, the place itself, and everything else was truly awesome! I had Craig do my tattoo and he was amazing and made my tattoo the way I wanted it and it looks perfect! He also had an amazing setup and was super welcoming and made sure me and the people with me were comfortable! The other staff was also super welcoming and helpful, just everything was perfect! The place itself is super cool, if you like anime and stuff, you’ll be in total awe like I was! Totally recommend getting it done here if you are around the area!!

Craig is a true artist. I scheduled last minute and the team there had no problem fitting me in. Great customer service, clean environment and even better tattoos. Craig is super professional & you can tell he has been tattooing for a long time. I highly recommend if you’re in the area stopping by and getting some ink! I’m from out of town but if I’m ever back in the area I know exactly where I’ll be going. I provided a design and Craig had no problem accommodating, it came out even better than I had hoped. Very clean lines and shading. They are super informational about their tattoo aftercare procedures too.

They listen to what the client is looking for. Make suggestions as well as provide advice about the work and the location of where the tattoo will go. Not pushy like other shops I have experienced. Between my daughter and myself, have had several tattoos done. Excellent customer service from start to finish. Highly recommend.

I just got a tat done here today, and the experience was enough to make me want to fly down to Florida just to get another from Craig. I had a good chat with him, watched a movie while it was done, and even my friends who dropped me off were treated like rockstars. Even though they werent getting tatted, they couldnt stop talking about how they had a good experience with everyone and felt welcomed. I was just as relaxed as them with their environment. Its a chill space that also doubles as a music venue. If youve ever felt nervous and intimidated walking into a shop and you never want that again, this is the place for you.

Booked a session with Daryna Martines for February 15th about a month in advance. I gave her ideas of what I wanted and paid a $100 deposit. Daryna said she would have a design ready for me in the coming weeks. I didn’t receive anything from her until February 12th. She asked for my input on the design and welcomed editing suggestions, however, when I provided my feedback she said: “Let’s just cancel this project then”. She did apologize and acknowledge that she overbooked and made me wait too long for the design, but it was a huge inconvenience. I had already taken the day off work for the tattoo. Now I’ll have to find a new artist who will likely have a waiting list as well. I did get my deposit back but I’m very disappointed. Such an unprofessional experience.

Here’s my tattoo from them after about two months. I followed their after care directions pretty well especially when I saw red flags after a few hours after the tattoo. I’m not happy and I’m having to spend more money to hopefully get it fixed. Blowouts throughout. My efforts to communicate with them afterwards have been mostly ignored. Just an apology and I’d probably be happy.I’m their defense a little, my fiancés tattoo done at the same time, is on point. Her artist was great.Mine on the other hand is jacked up. Her photo and my two are attached, you’ll see the difference. Lesson learned, always select your artist. Don’t walk in and trust the shop

My husband and I wanted to get matching tattoos on our honeymoon of our initials. After weeks of searching for a tattoo artist on Instagram that we felt we could trust, we found Sia at Lucky You. She was so sweet and detailed to make sure our tattoos were exactly what we wanted and made scheduling with her so easy. We love our tattoos and have already contacted her about doing our next tattoos when we come to FL for our anniversary.

Such a fun place. Darian is my soul-artist but Ive been tattooed by both her and Alicia and have been stoked every single time. Jenn has applied each stencil and is such a pleasure working with me since Im never satisfied lol. Lucky You is a clean, professional place filled with beautiful genuises❤(All tattoos picture done by Darian, except the haunted house globe which was done by Alicia)

Craig and the team was amazing. I was very comfortable from the consult to the finished product. Craig was quick and efficient in his work. I called them up on a Friday afternoon and asked if I could get a tattoo, my design by 730 I was in there shop , mind you this was not an easy tattoo, the owner himself ( I can’t remember his name ) worked on it until almost midnight, this was the best experience I ever had ! He brought my vision to life , the attention to detail was amazing! I was nervous about the North America part of my tattoo, but he nailed it perfectly!!!!!I highly recommend this place! Thank you for bringing my company logo to life ! I’m definitely going back! Many thanks ! Worth every penny, the pricing was very fair for the detail and time it took ! 5 stars all day long!

Came here with what I considered was a big ask in terms of design and style for my tattoo. It came out perfectly, it looks amazing, and Craig did everything I hoped it would look like. Extremely professional and friendly, I couldnt have asked for a better first tattoo experience.

Alicia is my go to for all my tattoos, shes never disappointed and all her work is beautiful. I recommend her to everyone! Morgan does really good work too as I have an ankle piece were currently working on. Both girls are great and make the experience super comfortable!! Lucky you also hosts diy shows thats all ages! Its a really fun atmosphere and if youre new to the area and looking for a shop to get a tattoo I definitely recommend this shop!

I got my foot/calve piece done by Alicia and the whole process was very enjoyable. My tattoo took four sessions/layers and each time healed perfectly. She made sure I knew aftercare and communicated clearly what prices would be like for this sort of piece. Alicia is super nice and i always felt welcomed when I went in for each session. I absolutely love her work and appreciate all the time and patience she gave me as a customer. 100% satisfied and have recommended her to quite a few people. I always get compliments on the work she did.

Lucky You Tattoo is a very professional and clean environment. Gotta love the Rick and Morty murals all over the walls.. Alicia Anderson does my tattoos, shes pretty much done all of the ones I have. She can emulate so many different style, but also has her own unique style. She does really clean lines and has cool designs. Shes also really fun to talk to. I send all my friends to her!

Alicia is awesome, I trusted her for my very first tattoo and have been back for two more since (and already planning my next). Incredibly clean space which was, of course, great to see as I was pretty nervous for my first tattoo! No matter who you book with, you’re guaranteed to receive excellent care & service as well as incredible artwork.

My girlfriend and I were visiting FL recently from WI. Although we have several shops in the downtown area where we live, we decided to both get tattoos from Lucky You Tattoo. We are so glad we did. We had the best experience we could possibly ask for. Craig the owner of the shop did mine, and Sia did my girlfriends tattoo. Both artists were fantastic to work with and were great genuine people who truly love what they do. Craig took his time creating a design that would really be a good fit for me. Sia did the same for her. The shop itself is an awesome place to hang out, and they truly show you hospitality when you are there. They even offered us a few snacks and drinks while we waited. Great shop, great prices. Must visit. We are definitely coming back when we are in the area.

Alicia is the BEST! I have gotten two tattoos done with her in the last 6 months and shes phenomenal. She tattoos quickly and is very exact. Love her dotwork! She is easy to get in touch with, wonderful to work with, and truly loves her profession. Shes also a bad ass! All Ive gotten are compliments from her work and I look forward to having her do more work on me in the future!

Alicia Anderson is a fantastic artist. I was working on a half sleeve and I was disappointed with my current artist at the time. I had a consultation with Alicia and she took over from there. She was great to work with, has good vision, and knows what the hell she is doing. Took me from being nervous about my project to finishing the sleeve and loving it. Ive been tattooed by Sia on a few occasions as she is not only a talented artist, but also a wonderful human being. Our tattoo artist was super chill and down to earth, and he got us in and out fast :) we add a simple hexagon to our tattoo every year and he was great about matching the ink we already had. Plan on booking him soon for a horror tat!

Sia was the sweetest and most dedicated artist Ive met, on top of being ridiculously talented. The energy there is supportive and other artists are just as positive and outgoing. Any bad reviews are man babies mad that they arent entitled to exactly what they want when they want it. Definitely go here if you want a quality tattoo done by fantastic people

I didnt have the same experience that reviewer MikeRutherford did...I found Lucky You Tattoo to be good place to get yourself a tattoo. Craig does very good work and seems to enjoy working with his clients to develop their style & tattoo. Dusty gets very excited about doing cover ups and new designs for his clients as well. nice clean atmosphere.I just had a nice Dragon tat put on by Craig and will be back in a few weeks to do the colors.

Matt has been my tattoo artist for a long time now. Hes great and I cant recommend him enough. He very fair on price as well.

This shop is very clean and professional, it doesnt feel sterile, but when I looked carefully, I saw the working areas were pretty close. The artwork done by Dusty and Craig is awesome! I always get positive remarks about my two pieces that were done here. As for bad attitude from the artists, well, you get what you put out! These guys always spoke appropriately to walk-ins while I was there.

Tyler was super awesome! He’s very professional, clean, a jokester and a great artist! I trusted this guy with my first tattoo, it was for my grandma and I don’t regret it. Very educational as well! Highly recommend!

Moved here last year from California so I was searching for a new Tattoo artist. I stopped by today for a quote and was blown away by every aspect of this shop. The price quoted was more than reasonable but more importantly the attitude of all the people working there was stellar. I felt like I belonged there and that my business would be more than just money to them. The place is EXTREMELY clean and the walls covered in art done by the people who would be doing your tattoo, showing you what they are capable of right away. Doug was more than happy to spend time talking with my wife and I to explain what they were about and all they had to offer. From painting parties to concerts and in the future they hope to have stand up comics performing in the lobby.Soon Ill be going back to get what I was quoted for and Ill provide and update but I can already see myself returning here many times in the future. Cant say enough good things about Dusty and Lucky You Tattoo! Stopped in there the other night after getting the cold shoulder at another local shop and was instantly impressed. This is one of the cleanest shops Ive ever been in, and he was absolutely meticulous with his hygiene and sterilization. Hes very experienced and was professional in every way. He worked with me on my design and did a beautiful job laying it down.I would definately use him again and would highly recommend him to anyone else!

I came in with four friends, 3 of which were ink virgins, all of us without appointments and Craig and Dusty totally took care of us. The shop is super clean, and they go to extent to show us how sterile each bit of the equipment is - I have not experienced that in other shops. Dusty did my work, drew it up exactly the way I wanted and it is totally perfect! His lines are amazingly clean - he listened to what I was looking for and didnt try to put his own perceptions into it (other than his amazing artistic ability!! This is a high-end tattoo shop with all of the amenities and top quality artists. You will not be disappointed if you come here to get work done. It also doubles as a very dope diy music venue. Alicia is hands down the best tattoo artist I have ever worked with. I want to give her all of my money.

Let me first start off by saying this place is amazing. The people are very friendly and aprochable. The atmosphere is amazing, lots of beautiful art work. I was truly impressed! Douglas was amazing he looked at the images that I brought in and created the perfect tattoo. I do have to say I was kind of picky and he worked with me until it was perfect. I met up with a friend of mine from work, watched Dusty do some of her ink. Then I saw the final product. I have been wanting my cover up for many years now, and after seeing what this man could do with ink I was highly impressed! I went in on Wednesday 2/27 described exactly what I wanted and walked out MORE than impressed by how good of a job Dusty did with my tat. Craig was nice and helpful as well, and the shop is so clean and a very chill place to go! First time, last time or just cover up....you will want more I promise! This is the place to go and the prices are reasonable as well! LOVE IT!!!!

Alicia Andersen has been my go to artist for a while. I had known her while she was doing her apprenticeship and promised a piece to her once she completed it. Numerous visits and flights later and I have a full color half sleeve by her. Her work is top notch quality. Shes very meticulous, yet very swift and skillful. She caters to her clients eccentricities and tastes. Shes an incredibly adaptable and capable artist and is unobjective and is all for making sure her client is as comfortable and pleased as possible. especially for being as young as she is. Her skills are only going to get better. Highly recommend her, as I will continue to fly down to see her for more future work. Treat her well and shell work wonders for you. I started out as a client and friend of Dougs. We had worked together previously. I had come in to be tattooed and the opportunity to be a part of the team here presented itself. I took the job and have been happy every since. I adore everyone here. We have grown into a solid team with a great and clean atmosphere.

Morgan did my first tattoo last week and I had a great experience. She made me feel totally comfortable and we made some great conversation. I love the atmosphere of the shop and I will definitely be back to have Morgan do more tattoos for me in the near future.

Im not familiar with Dusty. But I can say Craig is a professional, and acts accordingly. Does well with unusual requests and specific detail, even in a time frame. In my experience Lucky You Tattoo is going to give you quality work at a modest price. If it was worth making a Google+ account just to review the damn place- its worth stopping by if your looking to get a piece done. Enough said.

Alicia is the BOMB! She has such a beautiful vision for neo traditional tattoos and uses really solid linework and colors. She makes you feel super comfortable, too. Ive had her complete a thigh piece that turned out better than I could have imagined and she did an amazing job on a touch up. Def recommend!

Ive gotten two tattoos from one of the artist here named Douglas Hoppe. All of the artists here make this place an absolutely awesome environment.They had a painting party tonight hosted by Pete Artiste, you can find him on Facebook by this name, in celebration of my birthday. I had so much fun. Everyone is very friendly and the atmosphere makes you feel right at home. This is definitely the place to get a tattoo or even paint the beach.

Great tattoo parlor with great people! I went in to get and quote for a tattoo, after talking with Zakary for a short time, we designed the font, style, and placement of my tattoo and with the knowledge that he had of the art, I was in and out with a outstanding tattoo! Shout-out to Zakary for doing a great job and for his precision and swiftness.

Sia is an AMAZING artist! Fantastic tattoo skills! Unfortunately we tried for well over a week to get in touch with Sia, or ANYONE at that shop to schedule with Sia and I have still not received a response. I emailed Sia directly. I also went through the link on the website. I tried calling the shop countless times and although I got an answering machine and left messages, I never received a call back. My fiance reached out to Sia and Lucky You over Facebook and never received a response. It is a real shame because we have previously recommended her to several people. He ultimately got the tattoo done, at another shop, with another great artist, and Lucky You lost two clients.

Don’t get a tatto from Zak! He does not stand behind his work! I am from NC and was here in Tampa on vacay last Oct.! My niece and I went to this tattoo shop that she had found! Well I wanted a cancer ribbon that was multi-colored, the purple did not show up on my darker skin. Even though he said he would touch it up if necessary he did not! I told him that I only come into town once a year! He now says he does touch-ups until 6 mos. out. My problem with all of it is if the color was not in now...surely it wasn’t in at the 6 month mark! He told me it would 60$ for something I had already paid for! Besides that there are other small issues with my tattoo like his lines and shading are off! I did not mention that to him I just wanted the color portion fixed! It’s absurd to pay more money for something that should have been right the FIRST time!

Owner was on top of his artistic game. Walked in, still took me, did my obscure ink on the fly, showed me better after care instructions, smiled and talked intelligently, great place if youre looking for good ink. Huzzah!!

This review is regarding LYT as a community space (I do not have experience with the tattoo artists but I know they’re lovely people). LYT is an all ages venue for events creating a much needed inclusive space for the Bay Area. I always feel safe and welcomed by the staff. It’s spacious and polished inside which creates a modern, comfortable setting for any occasion.

Gabby is a dream, I absolutely recommend her. Shes creative and can help with concepts, but shes also good and doing whatever you need. She did a piece for me and my bf for our dog that passed away. and I have separate pice done by her of one of her predraws! I look forward to getting more work done by her in the future!

Doug, an amazing artist, man and offers up great deals for new pieces, or just touch ups! The shop itself is very clean and organized. All staff is very friendly and offer great advice. The waiting area is comfortable as well!

Everyone is extremely rude and has what seems to be some kind of elitist vibe. Have a simple question about your tattoo or the healing process? Well you can expect to be belittled and talked down to for not being as knowledgeable on the subject as they are. They are very money hungry, they dont wanna hear anything about your tattoo besides what it is and where you want it. Do yourself a favor, and find any other nicely rated tattoo parlor to get your tattoo done, the experience will be 1000x better.

Love this place! I have gotten tattoos all over the world so its hard to find a good artist, well this place is it.....no matter who you have working on you they all do an amazing job. Ive turned my sister and a few friends to lucky you!!!!!

I was treated terrible by the older, larger fellow. He used profanity and was very hostile toward me when I asked if he knew how to contact an artist that worked there when it was poda, thank goodness for facebook. Thanks for nothing big guy!!Just as a rebuttal to the other reviewer not familiar with Dusty, I did stop in and was treated horrible for asking a question. If Craig wants to make money I would suggest he remove himself from Dusty because I will never step a foot inside their doors again. Also I suspect you are Craig so leave the reviewing up to your clients or people that get treated like I did. So Craig you will never see me in there or anyone that I will lend an ear to my experience there. It was uncalled for and I will let anyone and everyone know. Thanks again though for showing your true colors Lucky You.

Friendly place with great artists! The work here is very versatile and while tattoos are their focus they also have other events such as painting parties where you can learn to paint on a canvas. Check em out!

I went in as a walk in yesterday around 7pm and was welcomed with open arms! Morgan helped me decide exactly what I wanted to get and where to get it. She did an amazing job and made me feel so comfortable the entire time I was there! I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be going back for any future work!

Great place to get your first tattoo. Very professional and clean facility. Cool people. I just wish the band was playing. Alicia did exactly what I asked for and I would come back again.

Im not sure if Alicia is human or extraterrestrial but her tattooing is out of this world. Definitely worth it to stop by for a consult, youre ideas will flow through her fingers like she was reading you mind. Im pretty sure shes waiting for the mother ship to bring her home so get to her while shes still inking on Earth.

Whoa talk about a place with an identity crisis. Not sure if they are a teenage club, recording studio, or a soup kitchen. Cocky mediocre artist with premium quality prices. Rude, obnoxious place. They had a sound system out front with a bunch of trailer trash just hanging out and some creepy old smelly men. Great place to meet homeless people and get some dirty inking done I suppose.

Lovely location, all the people have been super nice. And I went for the Friday the 13th special a couple months ago and it was by far the smoothest run Friday the 13th event Ive ever seen. Highly recommend!! Craig is amazing.

Craig does great work. I got some work done from him and the colors still look as beautiful and vibrant as when it was brand new. I would definitely recommend Craig to anyone look to get work done.

Place was clean. However I feel that $200 for a 3 tattoo was a little on the expensive side. However they did turn out good

Staff is very friendly and helpful,,great place and while u wait theres tv u can watch or play games on ps4,Xbox,psp.
