Outwest Tattoo and body piercing ,30 years of tattooing,only life time guarantee

I had gotten my bridge pierced here in the beginning of July, and was initially delighted at how nice the shop owners were. Once I got home however, I realized my bridge wasn’t crooked due to swelling (as that’s what was expressed to me before I left), it was crooked because of user error. I was hopeful because both Julie and Michael took about 5 minutes to line it up, and we even said how dire it is to get face piercings right; they didn’t let me check beforehand, they said “ready” and before I could even ask, they had a slotted clamp (not the small precise one) on my bridge and Michael refused to use a ruler to make sure it was balanced. After about 6 hours I took it out and messaged them on Facebook; I apologized to ask for a refund because I know they are hard to come by, but this wasn’t a “I changed my mind and want my money back”, this was a genuine mistake on the shop’s end. What made it worse was that Michael even saw me look at how off it was, and he told me it was just the swelling and let me walk out looking like that after paying $80 ($65 with a tip) — so he KNEW it was messed up. I had taken a picture of the holes and used the ruler on my phone, and it was embarrassingly off. When I asked about a refund policy, I was replied to with “I am the refund policy”. Julie sounded frustrated that I wanted my money back rather than come back and let them try again — if a very obvious face piercing wasn’t important enough to take seriously the first time, why would I go back to let them mess it up a second time?Also, after the awful response to a genuine concern, why would I want to go back and face them? If this were any other type of business, it would be expected to return the money and apologize. If they’re as popular as they bragged about, I really don’t think $80 would set them back that much. I’d only come here based off a friend’s recommendation to let Julie pierce me, but after sharing all of this on social media and with that friend, neither of us will be suggesting Outwest again — I don’t think that would have been the outcome had they just admitted they messed up and returned my $80. I would have still left a decent review. Very disappointed at the lack of customer service — it’s hurtful that they were only super nice to get money from me, because once I asked for a refund, suddenly a flip switched. I went to Zen to get it repierced and they had no problem doing it, so I’m not sure why these piercers (who supposedly have decades of experience) were 1. unable to get it right and 2. had such big egos they couldn’t own up to the mistake. It was the right thing to do, and it’s a bummer that there was no compromise or solution to this.

I absolutely love this place!!! Very nice people, positive atmosphere, and good prices. I had them fix my eyebrow piercing, left nostril, and my snake bites after being infected. I also replaced the piercings and had them put them in since I was allergic to the piercings that were put in prior somewhere else. I appreciate them helping me. Definitely worth the trip! 🖤

I have been pierced here 3 times and every time has been great. Their customer service is amazing. When I was pierced Jess had all the answers to my questions and no judgment. She is very good at what she does , and I will only get pierced from her. Overall amazing and will be going back :)

I haven’t gotten a piercing from this place but they did change my jewelry and help me get rid of 2 kieloids on my industrial that was due from another piercing shop, ever since they popped them and changed it i haven’t had a problem with that piercing since, and it’s been around a month, personally they are very nice people and they don’t just do your service and ur done they talk to you and interact with you and that is amazing.

They done an amazing job on my daughter and I daith piercing. I called for an appointment and asked if they could do it that day and imagine my surprise when they said yes! I had been thinking of get it for my daughters migraines. I had a major headache when I went in and then it was gone who knew. 10/10 would go back!

Just got my conch done today and Julie is by far the best body piercer I have ever met! She was incredibly welcoming and kind while also being extremely informative on how to keep my new piercing clean and healthy. She made the experience so much fun! I would give her 10 stars if I could. I would highly recommend seeing her if you are interested in any type of body piercing. I am for sure going back soon!

I have had my work completed by Mike, Jess, and Chris and they are all phenomenal! I love the quality of the work and attention to detail. Julie does such a good job piercing!! I got my nipples done at the end of December and they have healed nicely, with no problems at all! The experience getting them done was great, she explained everything, very clean and sanitary! If thinking about it going to them for a piercing, just do it! High recommend!

Just got my first two tattoos and i couldn’t be happier! Absolutely incredible service, welcoming people, and great quality work!

I got one tattoo here that has exceptional line work and shading, so I went back. However I got a different artist. That didn’t even attempt to do my cover up. No white was applied to make the cover up easier just tried to go over black with red. The artist told me one more session and done. When I messaged them about the cover up, they said three to four more sessions. No refunds. Aside from the coverup, the line work and shading is poorly done. You can see where spots where pressed too hard and you can see the odd looking rectangle things that don’t even match the pattern. Tattoo in general was rushed, most painful tattoo I’ve had. And I have one on my other arm, same spot, and several others. No photos were ever added of this tattoo, so I guess they weren’t happy with it either.

I’d give this shop a million stars if I could! Great staff & Julie was absolutely the best person I could’ve possibly asked for for my nose piercing today. I will be recommending this place to everyone, & I will 100% only be going here from now on!

She explained everything that was going on and when it was done she went into detail about how to care for the piercings. Would recommend to everyone. Julie is AMAZING!!! I went in just to purchase some titanium jewelry for some recent piercings I had done elsewhere and not only did she sell me high quality jewelry, she put it in for me, showed me the different between the quality of metals and gave me a very in depth explanation of after care because the regimen I was following from the previous piercer was making things worse.Julie is all about customer service! She said if I had any issues at all, to come back, call or send pictures and she would assist me and get me back on track. Super friendly, great staff, love love love!! Highly recommend!!

I got my nose pieced their and I was VERY PLEASED.They give you an option on jewelry. I picked a blue/purple opal and I was given a paper towel for my tears which was very considerate. I am allergic to almost every metal in the book and I typically break out and swell within the first 2 hours and no swelling AT ALL. You can also buy jewelry from them and they were super nice and sweet. Its definitely a place I would go back to and I plan to go back for future piercings and tattos.!

This is my very first google review and I couldn’t of picked a better business to give this review to. I got My first tattoo in march of last year and I’m currently on my 12th. All of my art (except for one 🤦‍♀️ Horrible decision) has been done at Outwest tattoo by the very talented Michael. Not only is his line work insane his attention to detail is like no other. I had a very specific vision for all of my pieces and he was able to create them perfectly. They really are art and Michael is one hell of an artist (his wife is pretty awesome too). Now lets give my piercing lady some love. Miss Julie has done all of my piercings and I love them all. She always made me feel super comfortable and taught me how to take care of them at home so they healed twice as fast as typical. All of the people at Outwest treat you like family and do their best to make your experience a happy one.

I love this place so much. I didn’t know anything about it until one of my friends told me about it. She went there to get her tongue pierced long before I did and she said that they are really good at what they do and you can always rely on them. Which is true once I went there to get the same piercing. I had it done he first time but had a problem with it and had to take it out and let it heal. I miss that piercing so much, I ended up going back there again to get it re-done. Both times were amazing and they make you feel calm and they are super chill and really nice. If you have any questions about anything they will gladly give you the answer. They most definitely make you feel really welcome which I think personally is awesome. Now my tongue has healed and I haven’t had any problem with it at all! Thank you guys so much!

This place is amazing. Jess and Julie are both so nice and they are the best tattoo place I have found in Missouri. We gave them our suggestions on what we wanted and when they brought us their drawing it was perfect they totally understood what we wanted will for sure be going back for many more ink therapy sessions. My appointment went very smoothly. My piercing was very quick with minimal pain. By far the best place to get piercings! I’ve gotten a couple done from here and they are always professional and extremely clean! I recently had my Septum pierced and it fell out in my sleep and they got me in as soon as I could make it and replaced it! They are really friendly and I highly recommend them.

I went in to the shop today to start gauging my ears. I was promptly helped and shown around the jewelry at my appt time . The lady was outgoing and knowledgeable, also very much safety oriented. Went from 22 gauge studs to 10 gauge with no trouble we stopped there because she said it was more than enough even though it stretched easily. Spent 30 minutes tops all of which was very comfortable price was great. 20 minutes stretching a nice set of jewelry and a new septum ring and was out the door for 60 bucks plus tip because they were wonderfulPlan on going back soon for some tattoo workWould recommend 100 percent to everyone quality work clean shop awesome employeesThanks outwest

I had the best experience today while getting a replica tattoo of my dog’s paw print. Jess perfectly executed the paw print from the picture I gave him! Also, both him and his wife were professional, and made the overall experience relaxing and comforting, I highly recommend this establishment for tattoos and piercing! Jess is an excellent artist. Very light handed which is much better than anyone else I’ve been to. He’s working on a half sleeve for me that’s a huge American Flag. It’s only about half done and I already get so many compliments on it. I would recommend them to anyone.

The song Blue Skys is the song Ive sung to her since she was born. So, this tattoo was very special to us both. Outwest tattoo did such a wonderful job. The colors are vibrant and his lines are so smooth. He did a magnificent job!

I had them do a tongue piercing on me and they screwed it up bad! It was crooked and pierced it way to far back. They did not give me a long enough bar and I had to go to the ER the very next day because they under ball was already healing inside of my tongue. The Doctor had to slice the bottom part of my tongue some and dig it out! I do not recommend this place for piercing at all!

I had the labret piercing and they did a wonderful job and they make you feel comfortable and its also amazing how they give advises on how to take care of the piercing and what eat and drink and what not to eat and drink. I would recommend them to anyone.

This is my second tattoo by outwest. I have nothing to say about them except amazing. They are both original pieces and one is a cover up. You can not notice the tattoo underneath. The shop is very clean and sanitary and the attitude of everyone is friendly and lighthearted

The folks and services were outstanding everyone was super friendly there were several choices on the lettering on our tattoos I took my daughter on her 19th birthday and it was our first tattoo ever Chris did a amazing job on both of them he was very professional yet extremely funny we so enjoyed our experience there and so love our tattoos thank you guys for sharing in the memory of my daughters birthday and our first tattoo I definitely have and will continue to recommend your shop to everyone you guys were AWESOME and Thanks once again Im definitely coming back for my birthday and getting another one

Julie & Jessi was amazing they are very outgoing and knowledgeable about what they do unlike some places ,I went and got my daith pieced as I suffer from severe headaches they gave me amazing detail and was very gentle I highly recommend them also since this piercing my headaches have eased soooo much.

This is a great place very friendly i went in a few months back and got my Monroe pierced and he talked me threw what he was doing every step of the way it didnt hurt well January 6th 2021 because my first Monroe got infected dew to the Walmart jewelry doesnt like me so i went and got it done again and same experience tells you everything you need to know about how to take care of it i will go back for every piercing i get thank you so much you guys for another great experience highly highly recommend outwest Tattoo for your piercings and the tattoos i have seen done look great as well

I called to see how old you have to be to get a piercing and they kept asking. It’s up to the parent when I am the parent so they wouldn’t let me know.
