The Artist Den

The artists are all fantastic at what they do. And they are some of the coolest people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. I’ve gone there for all my art and not once have the let me down. They go above and beyond with the detail and precision with each piece. If you want your tattoo done right then I recommend the artist den.

From the time I walked in it was very pleasant! Paper work was quick and easy and the artist made sure to talk with me to confirm exactly what I wanted and the style that I requested. Everyone was amazingly friendly. I would recommend this place to many friends and I will definitely be coming back for more tattoos!

Jay is a great artist and did a fantastic job on my wife’s tattoo today. He has 23 years of experience, which definitely shows. He is very professional and friendly. The whole shop was very impressive.

Jorden is awesome! I was driving home from work today and the stud I had on my Helix piercing popped off.I needed an emergency replacement put in last minute. I went to one other piercing shop before calling this one and they wanted to charge me $60 minimum after leaving frustrated I called the Artist Den and Jorden told me to come over and he would take care of it. He got me in and out with a replacement stuff for a really good deal.I would highly recommend the Artist Den.

Came in for a late night walk in and had an awesome experience. Nok, Sydney, Marco, and Jordan all did a great job and we would definetly come back!! The people and the place had great vibes, I’d recommend The Artist Den & all of these artists over and over again.

So many things that went wrong but to sum it up, the lady who did my tattoo charged 200 dollars for a small black and white tattoo that took 20 minutes… and refused to do another small one so I could get my moneys worth. But I let it go but as soon as it was done the ink was already fading and smudged somehow it’s embarrassing to look at honestly and a week later it looks even worse. I have been to plenty of shops disappointed is an understatement. Definitely go somewhere else just because it’s 24 hours doesn’t mean it’s worth it. you don’t want to have to Have another shop touch it up. Maybe other artists are good there but the first time experience definitely left a mark and it shows unfortunately.

To sum it up: Hell ya brother 🤘I’m from out of town and was originally booked with Yellow Rose. I was not a fan of the artist they paired me with, was past the cancellation point and lost my deposit from them, because this shop is real quality. Great vibes, good people. They got me in last minute and finished my piece in plenty of time for my flight back home. 10/10

I walked in and 3 artists were ready to help me. I told them what I was thinking and they helped me come up with a design. Brett is who tattooed me and she was amazing! She was very personable and kind! I love how my tattoo turned out! She did an amazing job! The atmosphere here is chill and inviting and all the artists are super kind! I will definitely be back!

Update: It’s been over a year and everytime we go to get a new tattoo, artists compliment the ones we got here with Jay and Bacon. They’re THE BEST.I cannot recommend the Artist Den enough, it was the best tattoo experience I’ve had. We called 20 minutes ahead of time and they were able to accommodate us with ease. It was a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere. Bacon did an incredible job on my “dainty” (how I like to describe the style of tattoos I prefer) flower tattoo and Jay also crushed it with my boyfriends SpongeBob on a snowboard tattoo. (If you want an elegant, detailed flower tattoo GO TO BACON!!!! She’s the BEST) My boyfriend originally didn’t know what he wanted, but Jay and several other artists there helped him find an image and sketch it out for him. The price couldn’t be beat either. Lastly, Jordan removed an old piercing I had (and had been trying to take out) without any appointment needed, his willingness to squeeze me in was so appreciated! Would recommend this place to anyone I know in Utah looking for a tattoo. 10/10.

Have gotten multiple tattoos from this place and the staff is phenomenal. Always so friendly and so willing to work with anything you bring in! Recommend them forever!

I got a tattoo and two piercings from this shop. I only ever went out of convenience they are open 24/7. But they are way overpriced for tattoos and piercings. I paid $140 for a bridge piercing. Other shops in the area do it for around $80. My tattoo also turned out very ugly. It’s my least favorite tattoo on my body and also my most expensive. They also have very poor communication and customer service. I called to ask if a piercer would be in to change my jewelry as it was just pierced two weeks ago. I was told he would be in. When I got there everyone threw their hands up in the air and said “piercer was never scheduled to be here tonight nothing I can do for you”. I asked if they could loosen my jewelry so that I could change it myself. They said again there’s nothing they can do to help. I asked if they could give me the jewelry that I have already paid for (it’s a shorter version of the jewelry I have in now) And I was told again there was nothing they could do and that I need to come back 3 days from now. What a complete inconvenience. I also heard there is a lot of controversy surrounding the owner of the shop. If I could vote 0/5 stars I would. If you’re thinking of going here out of convenience please think again. Your body and your bank account will thank you.EDIT : you clearly don’t even remember me. 2 am from the bar smelling like booze? I called you at 6:54 pm and asked if a piercer would be in. You told me yes. I came in around 7:30 pm on Friday August 9th. It only takes me 10 mins to drive there. The extra time was the time it took me to shower and change clothes after work. So BO? I highly doubt it. All of your staff was extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. And to be honest they didn’t get their lazy butts out of their chairs long enough to even get close to me so maybe they were smelling themselves. As for the responder to my review, I would take some classes in customer service and customer retention. You’re really showing your true colors talking about your clientele like that. Whoever it was that came in at 2 am from the bar. DO NOT GO TO THIS TATTOO SHOP THEY ARE EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND TOXIC. THEY DONT DO GOOD WORK AND THEY OVERCHARGE. There are hundreds of tattoo shops in Utah and Salt Lake City alone. Choose a shop that respects their clientele. We’re the reason you have jobs and make money. We don’t need you. You need us. Also I have witnessed almost all of the “artists” at this shop consume alcohol and marijuana before and during giving tattoos and piercings. Completely unprofessional. This shop needs to be shut down.

Worked with Jordan Melgaard there on this TMNT Rib piece. Absolutely stoked with how he did, dude was super gentle and made me feel stoked the whole time.Walk in AND first tattoo. Later in day, done on ribs, and he took the challenge with grace and I’m so stoked about it!Thank you Jordan!

My husband, brother and myself wanted to get tattoos we called and asked if they had an opening for 3 people they said come in and we’ll take care of you. We went and they did just that. Marco and Max were great I’d highly recommend them. I’ve other tattoos before but this was just a different experience. I’d go back.

Marco is so so professional n the crispiness of the lines very very clean just amazing. Very very steady hands. I especially liked tht he took the designs I wanted n combined them to make.one great tattoo. Thanks Marco u truly r the best.

I got my first tattoo by Zach. He was patient, kind, took his time and was very precise with his work. The shop was very clean and other artists were very helpful and kind.

I’ll never go anywhere else again! Caiden helped me with a pre-existing piercing even though I did not get it there nor did I have an appointment. Very impressed with the friendliness and knowledge of the people there and how respectful everyone was. HIGHLY recommend.

Me and my wife wanted to get a tattoo while we were visiting Utah. We found The Artist Den online and I’m so glad we did! Knoc and Sydney were so friendly, and efficient in their work. I’d recommend them to anyone!

Brett is great, shes done 4 tattoos on me so far. she never fails to give me exactly what i want, she’s understanding and patient when it comes to what you want tattooed. I refuse to go to anyone else because shes made me the most comfortable when it comes to my tattoo experience. 10/10 recommend her for your tattoo needs. everyone at the shop is amazing too!

Had my sister and her wife were in town and we decided to get Tattoos together half way unexpected... I got the sunflower from Sydney 💞, I loved her!! She did Amazing!! While she was working on the tattoo we were talking and I mentioned how I was bummed out because I thought my daith closed up because I couldnt get the bar back in at all. She offered to get it back in for me!!! its been out for 2 + months now! She was able to get it back in!!My sister and her wife got matching tattoos to symbolize their wedding date! (Utah did the one without the banner, Bacon did the one with the banner)I gotta say... I absolutely love them both! they are so different but amazing!I really love how different they are, they both did great!Thank you guys!!

The Artist Den is the best place in Utah to get piercings done. I’ve gotten 7 out of 11 of my piercings done here, and each experience has been fantastic (Including the nostrils i just got done). My fiancé and friend have also had great experiences with their separate piercers. Sydney, Caiden and Jordan have done all our respective piercings (ears, septum’s, lips, nostrils) and all have turned out amazing. The environment is very chill and welcoming, everyone is super nice and professional. They make you feel like you’ve known them for years, super easygoing and supportive. If you’re going to get a piercing, go to the Artist Den. I will be going here for all my future piercings, as well as booking for future tattoos. 11/10 place.

It took me 4 years to find an artist to do what I wanted and I came across artist den. The staff is amazing very friendly and knowledgeable on designs. It’s a great location and very clean inside. I highly recommend artist den. You will not be disappointed.

I had the pleasure of working with Utah Juan Lizama out of The Artists Den. He did beautiful work. When doing a consult he was up front and honest about expectations. Something other shops can take a page from. The artists here get along well together and over all have a lot of fun with each other. Utah Juan Lizama was great to talk to while I was there for 8 hours, we laughed and had a great in depth conversation. Im looking forward to my next session to color in the piece! Ill update my review at that time

My hubby and I called and were able to get in for same day appointments. The studio itself is stunning, obsessed with the skulls. My hubby was worked on by Jordan who was so chill and well experienced. I had my work by Max who was so welcoming and invested into my art. They were both very professional and we had an amazing experience! We highly recommend!!

I got my 3rd tattoo with Max. I warned him that I was a bad sit and he and his mentor were so patient and gentle with me, allowing me to shift and adjust as needed as well as watch the process as they went. They let me pick music and they answered all of my questions. I will definitely be going back for the rest of my work.

We had a truly wonderful experience getting our tattoos here. The guy who did our tattoo was patient with our indecisiveness and customized each of our tattoos in just the way we wanted them. And his work is out of this world. Highly recommend. I loved that great music was playing while I was getting mine...took some of the edge off. And the workers there were funny as hell, too. I gut laughed a couple of times. Go visit this place. Youll definitely remember the experience!

The Artists Den is a great place to get a tattoo from. They have amazing artists and the prices are fair. Its a clean shop filled with great people! They also have a top notch piercer. I would recommend any of the tattoo artists working there right now.Its off exit 303 then head West bound and its on the left side a couple miles up.

Tonight I went in for a black rose with my fathers name, it was by far the best experience I have ever had in any shop. My artist (Caiden) was the absolute best, and provided a calm but fun environment. I cant wait to go back and get more work done!!!

Such a great studio! I went in to get my ears repierced since the holes had grown over. Kaden was able to reopen the holes super easily and with very little pain! He was so friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable! I appreciate how easy he made the whole process. Everyone we interacted with at the studio was so kind and professional. The studio is also very clean, and had a lot of comfy places to sit while waiting. I will definitely be back next time I need something done!

I went for a spontaneous tattoo after visiting my friends grave, had barely an idea of what I wanted or even where. Marco met with me after I had just walked in, showed me some options and some tweaks and made it perfect! Took a couple hours from design to finish (I requested no color, otherwise Im sure it would have been amazing), really fun to chat with, and gave me some recommendations on how to treat it better than I did from my last tattoo from a different place. Marco is probably my go to guy now every time I get a peice! Could not be more happy with it ❤️

This shop was the best experience I’ve had. I walked in for a tattoo and instantly noticed how clean and spacious it was. Everyone I spoke with was super nice. Marco ended up working with me right away. He drew up the tattoo and I loved it more than what I originally had found. The whole time he was tattooing my arm I felt as if I was chilling with some friends. He also made sure I was doing okay multiple times. I could tell he enjoyed what he does since he was taking him time instead of rushing like other places I’ve been. The price was great for a walk in and it being a 5-6 hour piece. Best of all they are open 24hrs. I couldn’t have been more happy with my experience and the work Marco did.I waited about a month to write this to make sure it healed well. I’m absolutely in love with it and will definitely be going back here.

I had an appointment with another shop they cancelled on me last minute. I called The Artist Den and Jay was able to get me in the same day. I was getting a breast cancer tattoo for my mom and it turned out absolutely beautiful. The last tattoo I got from somewhere else 2 weeks ago turned out terrible. Jay will be my go to for any tattoos I want in the future.

This shop has a really cool vibe. Cool interior with relaxing. Very clean and organized. They are definitely worth it. True artists. JAY did my thigh tattoo and his fine lines, attention to detail, and skill were truly impressive. This is by far the best of all of my tattoos and I will come to JAY for my future ones. SHOUT OUT TO BACON AND NOK THEY KNOW WHAT THEY DOIN !!!

Went in on 2/19/23. Just want to say staff was awesome. Shop is clean, everyone was friendly. Got matching tattoos with my son and daughter in law. So before this shop moved to where they are now I had a good experience with my daughter getting her one ear re-pierced but the other day when we went in to their new moved location we were was very disappointed. I called ahead of time and I was told in order for my daughter to get her second ear holes pierced I needed to bring my ID, her birth certificate and just an ID for her like school ID would be fine. So we go in I have my ID, her birth certificate as well as mine and her school ID on her phone which by the way they scan everyday to check into their classes. Apparently that wasnt good enough and we were denied the service. He said I could go to the DMV and get her an ID. She just barely turned 15 so thats the only ID she has. I then asked if her medical insurance card would work. Again we got told no. I had everything they told me to bring and yet because it was not in physical card form for her ID, we could not get her ears pierced. Ridiculous. So I went and bought a piercing gun and did it myself. Makes me wonder what they require if a parent comes in with a toddler wanting to get their ears pierced because they dont have an ID either they are too young.

Went in the get piercings with my roommates and somebody brought a dog in and it was allowed to wander the shop and kept trying to say hi to people. It was cute, I love dogs, but I noped out of there instantly. If thats something they consider safe and sanitary I didnt not want them anywhere near me with needles. My roommate stayed and even got a mediocre tattoo, she didnt have complaints but it was also her first tattoo so I blame that on low standards.Update: my roommate ended up with pretty big blow outs on her tattoo. Her piercing is looking good though it took a weirdly long time to heal

Yooo Jays work really impressed me not gonna lie. I’m extremely satisfied with my experience start to finish here. 11/10 would HIGHLY recommend.

My daughters and I came in to have tattoos; the same design on each of us. They worked really hard to get the sizing and details correct. Jordan did mine...he made the whole experience fun and the tattoo looks awesome! Very very pleased! Cant say enough great things about everyone there!

Mag was super professional and personal about my wife and I getting our first tattoo. He never tried to alter what we wanted and made sure we were happy about all of it. He even cleaned the bench when switching between my wife and I. Will definitely be back.

This was my first time at The Artist Den and it was a great experience, specifically Brett was marvelous! She made me feel so comfortable during my visit and I am SO HAPPY with my nose piercing! The after care instructions that she provided me were very detailed, yet easy to follow. Walked in without an appointment. It was my first tattoo. Nok is an AMAZING artist and helped me with not being nervous. The entire time I was there Nok was friendly and kept me in the know of what was going on. Everyone that works there is friendly and treats you like friends. Will definitely be going here from now on!

Love this place. Took my middle son, spur of the moment, late at night for his 1st tattoo for his birthday to the only tattoo place that showed open on google😊walked in & the experience was incredible. Canyon did such an amazing job. Since then my oldest son, my sister & I have all had AMAZING & unique tattoos done by Jordan. My middle son & my youngest son have both had a couple fantasic tattoos done by Canyon & my brother-in-law (my sisters husband) had a shoulder piece done by Jay👍 and EVERY ONE OF US ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE. I know for a fact that we will not be going anywhere else for tattoos oh cant forget about piercings either because my son is thrilled with his lip that he had done here as well. Very clean, super friendly & most of all....extremely professional

Had a great experience getting pierced by Brett. Clean and professional, she also took the time to make sure the placement was perfect and I appreciate that! My Daith piercing healed perfectly. Got my first tattoo done two weeks ago (1st picture) and it came our awesome. I went back three days ago and got it filled in, and it came out better than I expected or could have imagined. Definitely need to check out the Artist den if you plan on getting any work, my artist was Jay, he definitely under charges for how talented he is with the needle. Id recommend everyone to check this place out. 👍

Went here with a couple of homegirls as a walk in in the middle of the night. Turns out to have been the highlight of the whole night. The tattoos were amazing and they did such a good job we love them! The whole crew is amazing & so nice & welcoming. Not to mention their concern for my friend who almost passed out was unlike any other shop. All 5 of us will definitely be coming back here for more tattoos & laughs!!

I’ve gotten two tattoos here both by Utah and he’s been amazing for both! One was a big piece that took 3 sessions. He was very dedicated through the whole process and prior to actually tattooing he worked really hard on creating the tattoo and making sure it was something I was happy with and excited about! He’s made sure that with each session that everything is properly cleaned. He’s a very dedicated artist and very respectful to his clients. Being an amazing artist is one thing, but making sure your client is comfortable through the process is another and he does a very good job of it!I’ve also gotten piercings here from Jordan, with Syd as his apprentice and got the same level of professionalism from both of them. They were nipple piercings so it was important to me that I felt comfortable in that environment and they did a very good job of making sure that I was! Would definitely go here again!

My husband & I got matching Roman Numerals tattoos with our handwriting! It was our first tattoo ever! Jay did an amazing job making us feel comfortable. He created such a peaceful & laid back environment. He answered all our questions. He definitely made it easy & made us feel welcomed. He was very sanitary & easy to talk to! I would highly recommend Jay! 10/10. We will be going back to him for future tattoos.Thanks again Jay!

Ive loved my experience at this tattoo shop, its clean and a very friendly environment for new clients. Ive gotten my daith pierced, cartilage pierced and three tattoos. All tattoos exceeded my expectations and while getting the tattoos and piercings, the other staff were friendly, complimentry and overall very fun during every visit. I cant wait to get more tattoos and piercings done by this professional and friendly group of artists. Very satisfied!

This place is great! Decent prices, friendly staff, just good vibes all around. I just got my first tattoo here Monday afternoon and it was a great experience. I was really nervous and kind of awkward but Jay was very reassuring during the whole process. He treated me like a good friend and did a quick and awesome job with my tattoo. Plus, he was very willing to work with me even though I came as a walk in with no prior appointment. That was very kind of him. I dont plan on getting another tattoo (or at least not any time soon), but if I do I will definitely do it here!

What an Awesome place!!! This is me and husband second time coming and Jordan did such an amazing job, he did a sleeve for my husband in 4.5 hours!! As for me my girl Sydney is truly the best!!! Everyone there is amazing I went in with an idea for a cover up and Jordan and Utah both helped put my idea together Utah is in the process of drawing it up for me and I cant wait to get it done. Sydney is an amazing piercer she pierced my nose and I absolutely love it. We walked in a 11:00 PM to get spur of the moment tattoos and these guys were super welcoming and willing to help us out. The staff is basically one big family and Jordan was very honest and helpful. The whole crew there are super relaxed and professional. Experts in their trade 100%. They definitely take care of you. Jays done all of my tattoos and there a reason I keep coming back. Jordan and Sydney did my daith piercing, and it was quick and easy. They really know their craft, and the make sure its an environment where you can be comfortable collaborating with them for ideas, or coming in with your own, and have it carried out to the T. Walked in for a small tattoo for myself and a piercing for my sister. Staff was friendly, professional, and welcoming. Even the staff who were working with their own clients interacted with us. I walked in one night with a friend for her to get a tattoo, the people were super nice and welcoming right from the beginning. Nok was her artist and she did such a good job I scheduled one with her too. The place was super clean and very sanitary!! When I went for mine Nok was so awesome and understanding that I have a lower pain tolerance and she was super helpful and gave me some tips to not focus on the pain, someone was shadowing her and watching and that person was also very sweet and helpful both times I was in the shop but I can’t remember their name :( All the other customers in the shop both times I was there were super happy with the service and the quality of every tattoo done by every artist there. 10/10 would recommend! Thanks you guys!The base price for a little tattoo like the one I got is about $100 depending on placement, a lot of people might think that’s a lot for a little tattoo but think about the fact that it is going to be on your body forever and you get what you pay for.I forgot to take a pic before they put the second skin on it, the picture was right after. Also I bleed from the tiniest of scratches so don’t worry about that lol. The tattoo looks great (sorry, photo doesn’t do it justice but I wanted people to see it) I love it!!Also don’t forget to tip your artist!!!

I got an impulse ear tattoo from Caiden Martin. He did a clean , fast and professional job on my ear. Even though he is still an apprentice, he does a very thorough and caring job as well as helped me through my healing process. I love my piercing , totally recommend Caiden.

This place is amazing!! It was my second time getting a tattoo (my first time at this establishment) and I’m a wuss but Sydney was awesome in being comforting and doing a great job. Definitely coming back!

Five years later. My tattoo was done way too deep. It is extremely scarred. The ink has completely come out in places. I was not happy with it to begin with because obviously the text is smashed. And it doesn’t look any better years later. My sister was also tattooed and all of the ink fell out leaving only a scar. The owner also said he was going to post my address and send people to my house after I expressed I was unhappy with the work. Overall the absolute worst shop I have been too, the owner is extremely irrational and rude, I would give it negative 10 stars if possible. I did not feel safe here during my tattoo and was appalled that the owner was so disrespectful and told me and my sister “we deserve bad tattoos” after we expressed how unhappy we were. DO NOT GO HERE.

Marco did an absolute amazing water color cherry blossom on my left forearm and estimated the cost and time it would take for the tattoo. He was a great artist and I will definitely recommend this place to my friends which I did and almost everyone has gotten a tattoo for each of their staff there and all loved how it turned out. Even while you wait to be next for your tattoo you can relax and play games with them. Really laid back environment and still have a great experience.

Bad place to go. The first two times I went it was okay. Those were just piercings. We were in and out. This last time I went we called the shop and made an appointment for 7pm. Whoever was there said someone will be there to do my tattoo and my spouses tattoo. We got there half an hour early. Only one artist was there at the time and she said the other artists will be there. After an hour of waiting nobody was there. The artist that was there said all the artists were out scuba diving and wont be back until 11pm. She said we can wait or come back another day. The tattoo shop was filled with customers when that one artist said nobody was coming in until 11pm. We left. My opinion if you are a business do not tell your customers to come in at a certain time and then you yourself do not show up. That looks bad on you! I dont care if you had other plans, that is your job and you were supposed to be there. You wasted my time and you lost customers and got a bad review out of it.

Absolutely love Nok, she did a awesome job on my tattoo and even stayed till 2 In the morning. Everything was clean and she was very very respectful. This has been my favorite tattoo shop I have every blindly walked into. My brother and I wanted to go get tattoos while in town. Since it was spontaneous, this wasnt the easiest feat during COVID-19. We had had horrible experiences at other shops in the area and we had finally found them at about 10pm (it said they were open 24hours). Jay was there, along with Marco. These two were FANTASTIC to work with! Marco whipped up something I was imaging so quickly and I loved it so much! They treated us like family and got three of us in all at the same time. I could not have been happier with my experience there. Well be back soon!

Went in for a spur of the moment eyebrow piercing and was very pleased. Its a cute tiny shop in a place I didnt really expect. I got Sydney as my piercer. She was super nice and we got a long super well. I was only there for probably 10 maybe 15 minutes and was on my way. I will definitely go back in the future and recommend to friends. :)

Accommodated 5 randos at 9pm on a Sunday for tattos unscheduled.Everyone there was kind and chill. We had a great time with everyone during our wait. All 5 of us were pleased with the work done and agreed we would return. Jay was great with the delicate thin line of my lavender line work, as well as my sisters dainty orchid. Syndey created a perfectly detailed dragonfly, and bacon designed a beautiful black widow.

Jay is above And beyond amazing! I ONLY trust him to do my tattoos, he is super talented, knows what he is doing. Going into the shop it’s very fun and they welcome you like you are family! They take care of you if you need anything. They are funny as hell, always laughing.

I was a walk in and I had a hand drawn picture with me that another shop said would be possible, but there wasnt enough time for the shop that night. I saw that the Artist Den was open 24 hours and when I was texting with the artist, Jay, he said he could do it and we could just tweak it a little bit. He wasnt at the shop when I went in and the two people there said hed be there in about 15 minutes which was fine, but we waited about 25 minutes for him. When we went in to talk about the tattoo and figure out the sketching, he did a fast outline of the flowers I had drawn. He cleaned up the room well and got everything ready. After a while, he said he finished and to take a look, and I mentioned that I had some line shading that I wanted to be apart of it and he said that was fine. He started doing the shading and he finished up. I do think that he did a good job, but he didnt do what I wanted. As the person who drew the original idea, Im know exactly what it should look like and I know that what I drew was possible, but he hurried the whole process. I do plan on going somewhere else to get the details I wanted in the first place done.

Been here at least a dozen time in the last few month for different tattoos and piercings for both myself and for friends. Jordan and Marco always do a great job. Everyone is super chill. You can tell they love what they do. They are 24/7 if you call ahead to insure someone is at the store in the early am hours (they arent just gonna sit around and wait at 4am on every odd weekday if no one is coming in) or make an appointment (they take pretty short notice). And for anyone complaining about the artists sitting on the couches/ playing video games when you come in, youre the same ones expecting them to be at the shop for you to show up for a walk-in at 2am on a Monday. What do you expect them to be doing while they are waiting??

I had high expectations coming into this shop. I was very disappointed in my experience. they were all smoking weed while I was there, the two guys that were at the front desk were going back and forth about who was going to take me back. neither of them wanted to. it was very uncomfortable. the one who ended up taking me back was very nice, but i dont feel like he put much effort into the tattoo. its very crooked and doesnt look like the picture i gave him. I felt i was paying more for a better tattoo.. but that wasnt the case. now i have to go get it fixed somewhere else. I hope I can get my money back.

Love this place! Ive been going to Jay since my brother passed away which was back in 2014 since then he has worked on me personally at least 5 or 6 different times my wife 3 times an my brother 4 times. I can trust Jay to listen to what we have in mind an he makes it happen. However every artist in the shop is equally amazing in there own way. I would not recommend any other place than the Artist Den!

So one day I was on a scavenger hunt with my friends in Park City and on the list for bonus points was a piercing. We called The Artist Den and they literally sent someone up from Salt Lake City to meet with us within the next couple of hours with no previous appointment scheduled. Jordan Melgaard gave me two piercings at the top of my right ear and Im in love with them. He did it very quickly and I barely even felt a thing. The whole process was super easy and professional. He told me how to keep them clean and I have not had any issues with them, in fact theyre healing very fast. Thank you again! Oh, and I won that scavenger hunt.

Quality staff and tattoos. Got two done here and both of my tattoos were done super quick with steady lines and nice shading. The staff is hilarious if you can take a joke and not get butt hurt. They work with you as you work with them. The bad reviews on here are just Karens lol. If youre from out of town or state definitely get your tattoo here.

Ive had 6 artists, 3 tattoo shops and overall this is by far the best Ive been to and has the friendliest staff. Im going to have my previous not so great art covered up by my artist here and I will be staying at this shop from now on. The artists take their time and deliver quality work. I hate going home afterwards cause its always such a good experience.

Had a great experience getting pierced by Sydney and Jordan. She is currently apprenticing and did a great job piercing my tragus and helix! Jordan is a great mentor and they both just want you to leave feeling happy and knowledgeable about your piercings. Definitely recommend!

I got a great tattoo. The lines are clean. He took his time to really include details that make it realistic. The tattoo artist was very kind and skilled. They let me do a walk in and got with me quickly to draw out a design. He included a touch up in the pricing.

Went in around 9:30 PM (Spontaneous tattoo time) and got welcomed with open arms. Everyone was pretty chill and was ready to give some ink! During the wait, I had time to interact with some of the artists who turned out to be some pretty bada** people. COMPLETLY AMAZING! Jay is a true artist. His attention and detail are beyond measure. My tattoo turned out above and beyond what I expected. I had saved a few photos on my phone as I wanted an owl tattoo on my forearm but I wasnt sure about any of them. Horrible place. Severely douchey and rude artists. They will keep jumping the price up on you out of nowhere. Empty place in a Friday and Saturday night when it should be the busiest. Went to get a tattoo with two other friends, one also got her nose pierced. We were all so happy with what we got done, the service and the atmosphere there. I would recommend this place to anyone - great tattoos and piercing for a good price.

It was a waist of time and energy. Waited to get my nose pierced, got in, the woman peirced my nose,said it was crooked, and took it out immediately. Told me to come back again in two weeks. Called ahead to ask for a new piercer, was told the man could get it done today. Walked in and the man wouldnt get off his video game, told me he peirced the same way she does, and told me he could do it on the 10th.

I had a great experience at this shop! Everybody’s super friendly and fun. I had Marco cover up my tattoo with roses and I love it. They actually fed me steak kabobs while I was getting my tattoo! It’s an amazing environment you should go see it yourself.

Got my daith pierced here a few months back, wanted it done on a sunday and this was the only place open. the guy who pierced it was nice enough and sounded like he knew what he was doing. I love my piercing and have had very minimal problems with it. It was also very reasonably priced. That’s the good part that earned them a couple stars.Bad part was when we walked in all the employees were just sitting around on the couches and I didn’t even realize they were employees because it took a couple minutes for someone to get up and help me. He had to go somewhere to go find the piercer then brought him back to pierce me. They also didn’t warn me that it was cash only, which was fine because I had a $100 bill in my wallet just in case, but then the guy acted like he didn’t have change to break it. Why not have change when to run a cash only business? Luckily my boyfriend had some cash in smaller bills to pay for it.Long story short if you’re willing to put up with a little sketchy the piercing was done right and fine, just be aware this place is a little unprofessional and doesn’t always inform you up front of things

My friend and I were feeling spontaneous about getting a tattoo late at night so we went to the only place open 24/7. Big mistake. We came in with a simple reference photo of what we wanted and they said it wasn’t something they could do. From here we tried to back out and leave but they disrespectfully pressured us to stay. Regardless of several red flags, we ended up staying because we really wanted tattoos. Shelby was the name of our artist. She was nice and everything but she didn’t put in much effort to make our tattoos look how we wanted or even decent looking. We are very unsatisfied with how our experience turned out.

Got my bridge pierced here, the piercer was great with placement and did it super quick, but he used too short of a bar and i ended up having to go to a different shop to get it switched out for a longer one, but he was great! just wish he had used a longer bar, it got pretty irritated.

Got a cover up buy Jay. I thought it would be impossible to cover but I showed him some things I liked and he came up with a great piece. He is friendly and respectful. Ive been to some shops where they arent very friendly and it makes it a bad experience but at this shop it was a great experience. I will defiantly be going back for more!

Last autumn a young man named Jordan gave me 3 small and simple tattoos in one sitting. 2 of them came out quite poorly. I wanted a simple skull, a figure 8 and a nordic rune. The rune came out scarred. The entire tattoo has textured now. The skull was supposed to be symmetrical, it isnt. The figure 8 no larger than a quarter came out perfect though. Considering how much I paid, then tipped him Im not pleased with the quality of his work. The skull is not fixable. The overall vibe of the shop and friendliness of the artists is amazing, but I cant recommend Jordan for stamp-esque work though.Edit: Do not let my review of one artist be interpreted as a review of the whole shop and those who do great work there regularly.

I had a tattoo appointment with an artist at the shop for my grandpas memorial that just passed away. I went into my consultation with a reference photo of what I wanted. The artist said it would take about 4 hours and $400. I put $100 down to book my appointment.The day comes of my appointment, and he has to reschedule for the next day, no big deal. The next day comes, I go into my appointment and Im stuck waiting another hour to get started. After about 3 hours of tattooing, we took a break and I saw my tattoo. NOT WHAT I WANTED. He took that time to shade the outside of the tattoo, which we didnt discuss at the consultation, and wasnt able to finish my tattoo in 4 hours like talked about. So now he expects me to come in and pay for another 2 hours or so to finish it, and proceeded to say he would probably charge a little more next time for equipment.Im not saying the tattoo is garbage, but definitely not what I wanted. If it were out of his skill set, I wish he wouldve referred me to an artist who couldve given me a pIece that I love and my papa deserves for being a vietnam veteran, instead of just winging it.Also, when my mom went back to confront them on the tattoo, they proceeded to say that I was lying to get free ink and then started to talk Ill about me personally like yeah, I bet she tells you shes a virgin too huh?Last, I just saw some of your comments to bad reviews. Really? Insulting clients. Thats awesome. If you cant take negative criticism, maybe you should stick to tattooing in a basement. The artists do tattoo under the influence, so its not ridiculous, they were asking each other if they had aten any more edible gummies while I was in the lobby, and they admitted they did. 🤷

I felt very welcomed and the staff was friendly. Was able to get in and out of there in less then a half hour for my nose piercing. My piercer was a bit rude but it definitely did not ruin my experience. Would recommend.

WORST SHOP IVE BEEN TO.First off I had some better expectations from this shop, but theyve shown to disappoint me completely. First off I am supposed to be receiving a tattoo from one of their artists on Saturday this week. But after the tattoo my brother received from the same artist on sunday. I will NOT go through with it. My brother was supposed to get a tattoo at 4pm on Saturday. The artist said it would be a 6 hour tattoo. We showed up 15 minutes early for the tatto, and the artist said he would have the stencil done when we got there. He did not it took 2 hours after our appointment to get started with the tattoo. The artist started doing pull ups on a bar, playing with the owners Dog in the shop, and talking to his coworkers instead of making the stencil. Finally when we got started on the tattoo. The artist took 10 hours on a tattoo he said would only take 6 hours. The artist kept taking break after break during the session and was focusing more on the television he had playing than on the tattoo. Also the owners Bulldog was left to wander around the shop and kept coming into the room my brother was being tattooed in. None of the staff wore masks in the shop. The artist was very unprofessional. He was telling my brother of his drug use and how his coworkers have gotten high in the shop and have given themselves concussions from being too high to function. When we were there our artist came back from a break and told us that they were currently getting high in the shop. We were at the shop from 4pm to 3:30 am. And the tattoo still wasnt finished. The artist wants my brother to come back for another session, thats not included in the price that hes already paid. Two days later it is now Tuesday and my brother is on antibiotics from an infection he received from his tattoo. I have 5 tattoos and have the same aftercare everytime. Wash and lotion. Which is basic aftercare. My brother has been washing and lotioning it like a person is supposed to. However the doctor said that he got an infection from the needles being left out and bacteria growing on the needles from being used for 10 hours straight. His arm is extremely infected and the color is coming out of his arm. Its swollen and hot to the touch. The artist was contacted and he is claiming that you arent supposed to use lotion for aftercare. There is also No certifications on the walls for any of their artists besides the owner of the shop on the walls. Overall a terrible experience. If you want to get a good tattoo that wont get infected and wont possibly be done by someone who just smoked marijuana then go somewhere else. They dont even deserve the 1 star I had to give them in order to write this review.

These guys are amazing. Very pleased with the tattoo. My car also broke done and all of them are so sweet they helped my sister and I get our car fixed. I will definitely come back again.

10/10 would recommend, I met some of the most coolest and humble people here that took the time to take my ideas and edit them into real life. The very handsome Marco Alan helped me out and trust me, his line work is amazing! Everyone there is super talented and I’m satisfied with the work every time.

Gotten 2 tattoos from 2 different people here and they both turned out wonderful. The atmosphere is extremely friendly and comfortable.

Me and my wife randomly decided we wanted to get our first tattoos .. these guys were super cool to deal with specially with us just walking in and not setting an appointment . They really make it a chill experience ! I would definitely recommend them to anybody else . Specially Nok and Jordan !

Love this shop.. Super professional.. Had bsd experiences in the past , walked in and walked out with amazing work feeling like a million bucks.. making this my new tattoo home! Caiden gave me multiple piercings and did a great job! They all healed super well, and I had no issues:)

My friends and I decided to go get something pierced last minute and found this place through Google. We walked in and briefly waited for someone to come out to the front desk. But on the front desk we noticed there was a dirty bong sitting there and as a guy walked out he noticed and hurried and put it away. When they walked us into the back to get pierced there was just a semi-automatic weapon sitting there as one of the employees was buying it or trading it. Our piercer was Jordan and he did an OK job, I followed all his instructions of no touching it and all that but my ears got mildly infected. The place is just unprofessional. I mean look at the owners responses to negative reviews, truly unprofessional.

10/10 THEE NICEST PEOPLE. Incredible, quality piercings and the staff are so welcoming. Prices are also extremely fair.

Very laid back and soothing place. First time getting a tattoo, nothing to big, or crazy but was done fast and well. The guy was very nice, and outgoing. Also a conversation starter. Overall the vibe here is really great. Thanks again!

Jay is an incredibly gifted artist! Hes always been a gentleman and a professional through and through. Theres no one Id trust more with my skin than him. Hes amazing at what he does. If youre looking for the best, then look no further!
