Tiger Claw Tattoo

Got tattoos with my son. Plan was to get very similar tattoos but had to change it up due to the length of time the first one took. Had a noon appointment and didn’t even start until 12:45. I will say they came out nice though, just didn’t expect what we got to take as long as it did. First one took nearly 3 hours! Second one took 30 min!

I’ve been tattooed by Ryan and Austin M and plan to get tattooed by every artist in the shop. I am an artist as well and consider Tiger Claw to be one of the very best shops in the state. Love this spot. Clean, professional, and very experienced.

Fantastic shop. Went in for a walk-in and had a great experience getting some quick work with Joshua. This shop has some of the best experts in the Japanese style in SLC and it shows throughout the shop. Very clean, friendly and professional people. Also very easy to get to. Highly recommend. Just remember - they only take cash.

I had an okay experience. I got one small kanji tattoo on my arm in red. I was told it was going to be “red velvet” and it lightened up after a couple of months. I called to ask if they include a free touch up to darken it since I paid $150 plus tip for a 1 in x 1 in size. Was told that they don’t do that. Pretty disappointing since my other two tattoos done by two different artists/locations offered that.

Charity is a great artist and tattooist. She does a fantastic job, has great ideas, and is very friendly.

Tiger claw is amazing. So clean so many talented artists and every one of them is so genuinely nice. I was a total wuss who started to black out after the needle first touched my skin and everyone in there was helping get me water and some snacks and nobody made me feel bad or unwelcome. Charity has done all of my tattoos and I love her to death so happy with her work. I will absolutely keep coming back to Tiger claw. It’s worth every penny for the experience and the quality of work are top notch.

Charity is the best . she has done 8 of my tattoos. I have never had to have a touch up on any of them and my oldest is 6 yrs . she is very pleasant and friendly. Always look forward too seeing her

Booking at Tiger Claw was easy & the experience was incredible. Way better than where I got my last tattoo. I can recommend Zach and Charity completely. They are honest, clear, kind, and the work is beautiful. Im sure anyone who works there is awesome. I love the cleanliness and safety of the shop. A really professional outfit.

Amazing shop all around. Cleanly, great atmosphere, happy staff, and amazing artists. Everything you could ask for! I got 2 pieces done by Charity and she did amazing work. Exactly what I brought in was sketched up, I was given great advice/opinion on size and placement, and the piece was done in no time. This is the best place for anyone, from a first time small project to a body suit, its done perfectly here!

Great shop! Cant wait to get some ink done there. Went with a friend, who has had work done there. The artist agreed to touch up a destroyed piece. Also did a small tattoo (row of hearts) and touched up a script piece that he had done, which had faded while healing. By the time he was done all three peices looked phenomenal! The experience was amazing. The service levels was beyond what I expected or have experienced. I have advised the artists what I want, and cannot wait to have my work done here!

Love this shop. So clean and open! The space is used wisely! All of my work is done here and so is most of my boyfriends. We have went into a few shops before just to see what other shops are like, almost all of them were closed off so you couldnt see any artist, over priced for the quality and cleanliness of the shop, and overall just dark and dingy!Easy to work with good pricing for the quality work you get! Every artist is amazing and will always be honest with you! Overall the best shop in SLC in my opinion! 10/10 would recommend!

I got my 3rd (and largest) tattoo done here and was very happy with my experience, as my first 2 tattoos were very much below average experience-wise.Ive met so, so many entitled tattoo artists who refuse to talk about price, dont want to work with you on your design, and really just want to build their portfolio and brand instead of providing you a (very personal) service.Scheduling was easy, as was the deposit. Rescheduling was just as easy, as I had something come up. I worked with Austin, who took a few minutes to talk with me when I put my deposit in, gave me a quote right off the bat without me having to ask (which turned out to be pretty spot on), worked SO well with what I was asking for, and also offered advice in terms of placement/aesthetic/etc in a very respectful way as we were working out the design to make sure I was happy with it. Everyone here seems wonderful to work with and there seemed to be plenty of regulars/returning customers coming in the day I was there. Id come back here in a heartbeat for another piece!

Always amazing! Shae, Ryan, Austin and the gang have gone above and beyond for the past 2 years that my wife and I have been going to the shop. Shae has created a phenomenal and extensive Japanese full sleeve, a half sleeve (soon to be full) and other fellow artists have done touch-ups to my older tats over the years, which I love! Just a gifted and talented family of artists.They are always professional yet easy to connect and have many laughs at the shop with. My wife and cannot say enough great things about Tiger Claw and the entire crew all around. Fantastic art and colorful pieces that will be appreciated for a lifetime! Charity was fast, friendly, and so good at what she does. I wanted a duck from a book and was amazed with how perfect it came out, especially since she only needed about 40 minutes. It barely hurt then or now. I love my tattoo so much I could cry. Im saving up to go back to be tattooed by her again.

Loved the experience here with my cover up piece. Being a busy shop they still got me in with such short notice. Austin did an amazing unique piece that worked its magic and covered what needed to be gone, combining what I wanted with a little twist. Extremely clean with an amazing atmosphere, and pricing that was spot on.

I have been getting tattooed by Charity and Ryan at Tiger Claw for a while now and can say hands down, they are the best shop in the Salt Lake Valley. They have the cleanest most chill shop, the artists are like family, and the environment is clean and welcoming. They handle all styles in amazing fashion, and Can not recommend them enough. Ryan Johnson rocks !! I have been getting ink from Ryan for years and always get compliments on my tattoos. the other artist are all super cool and do awesome work too. The shop is clean the tunes are good and they are all easy to work with, the art work is always excellent !!FYI from what I can tell they get s lot of repeat customers and that should be evidence enough.p.s.If youre not getting inked by these guys youre missing out.

The space is nice, clean and stylish. Most of the artists and the receptionist seemed nice. However....Zach Sandall was a complete ass-hat. He owed me time for some work I did for him awhile back, when it came down to paying back the time he owed he was impatient, pretentious and not willing to work with my husband at all. I would not recommend him to anyone. His work is okay quality if you want the run-of-the-mill basic work done that everyone else has, but he is not easy to work with and definitely not friendly, especially if you are new into tattoos.We would have been a very high-paying customer, wanting to do a full sleeve as well as some back work, but because of his lack of customer service skills he completely turned us off of not just his work but the whole shop. We will be finding someone else who actually wants our business.

Ive been tattooed by about 10 different artists and I can easily say that my favorite tattoos and tattooers are all from Tiger Claw.Ive been tattooed by Shae, Ryan and Zach - three professional nice guys and artists.My wife and adult kids have been tattooed at Tiger Claw and my brother has driven up several times from SoCal for tattoos.If you want amazing tattoos and a great experience, go to Tiger Claw.PS The bad review that Shae has here on Google is the most ridiculous thing Ive ever read. He is absolutely professional, very talented and one of the nicest guys youll ever meet. If he wasnt, I wouldnt have been tattooed by him five times with plans for more.

They have the best tattoo artists ever! They are very patient when it’s your first time and happen to be a bit nervous! When the cause arises the do fundraising tattoos! They are a great bunch of people!! Love them!

Ive been getting tattoos from one of the artists there, Ryan Johnson, for about two and a half years now, and I couldnt be happier with the work he has done for me. The whole crew that works there are super friendly and very professional. If you are looking for quality tattoos then look no further.

I just went in there today to get some work done for the first time. I had zach do my live and learn tattoo today. It came out phenomenal. His lines are crisp and shading was perfect. If you want good work you have to pay for the artist. With this shop I trust them now. I would pay whatever they needed they will not cut corners on your art. Great vibe. At firSt it was a weird vibe cause one of zach appointments cancelled but after he chilled for a bit it was a good chill relaxing vibe. I definitely found my artist. Thank you zach see you soon bro.

Got my first tattoo here almost two months ago, and I can definitely say there were some pros and cons to getting it done at TCT. The good news is that the shop is super clean and nice inside. The guy that tattooed me was also super chill (Keith), but just as we were about to start tattooing (we already had it drawn on, I was on the table, etc.) a couple of stoned people walked in wanting tattoos, and as the only two artists in the shop were working on customers, me being one of them, Keith got up and went to talk to/help them look at designs and I was left on the table alone for a solid 15 minutes before he came back to get to work on my tattoo. The not so good parts were that 1) Their base price is $80, and I was kind of hoping they would give me a lil bit of slack as it was my first tattoo, I’m 18 and have no money, and my tattoo is literally teeny (less than an inch tall, and like a centimeter wide - it’s a semicolon), but I still had to pay the full $80, 2) I didn’t find out until after I had gotten the tattoo that the artist that tattooed me is only an apprentice at the shop, which I would have liked to know sooner, and may have chosen to go with another artist that I felt more comfortable with and would have had more experience, and 3) as my tattoo was healing, I had been following all of the directions to care for it to a T, yet the scabs fell off and all of the ink from the center of my tattoos was pulled out with them, and I was left with just an outline of the semicolon, which I actually wanted to do originally, but the artist talked me out of it, saying it would look “unfinished”, so I guess this can be considered a good thing, I just regret paying SO MUCH MONEY for literally a few tiny lines. I don’t know if the tattoo just did it’s thing, or it was the ink, or just my care for it, but as far as I’m concerned, that definitely should NOT have happened, and I’m frustrated that now I have to go and get it touched up and/or filled in so soon after getting it... it’s only 2 months old, and looks like it’s aged a decade. Super faded and blurry lines, but I still appreciate and love the artwork, as it’s unique to my body.

By far the best shop in Salt Lake for professional tattooing. I have pieces from Zach & Shae and I couldnt be happier with them. If you want a clean, strong, and solid tat go to Tiger Claw Tattoo!

Wonderful staff, and they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. Even stayed late to help and perfect my tattoo, and the outcome was beautiful. I definitely recommend them. Beautiful work with great artists.

I got my first tattoo ever here by Ryan. He is so good now that hes booked all the time but my heart is set on him doing my 3rd tattoo touch up and fixing the mistakes that happened when I got it from True Culture Tattoo. Ive been to many different tattoo places in utah now, Ive gotten a few from those other places and none have been as awesome, accomdating, comfortable and understanding like Tiger Claw Staff has been.

I would 100% recommend. The shop is clean and very comfortable. The Artists are very talented and professional. My time there was fun and I will go back for all tattoos in the future.

This shop has some of the best artists in Utah. They have even fixed tattoos that were messed up at other shops in the area. They are cash only, have limited walk-in, and are a friendly, knowledgeable crew.

Shae does quick, long lasting tattoos. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for quality work. Side note, according to local legend, he is hung like a bear.
