I got my second lobes done and it was a great experience!amazing staff service and earrings, erik was the best piercer. he was knowledgable and guided me through the whole process.atmosphere is not as i thought it would be, it’s kinda dead in there 😭aftercare products are great! i recommend getting the piercing aftercare fine mist.
Love this place. Had Eric pierce my nostril about a year ago. Completely smooth process, and the studio is extremely clean. They take everything serious here (thankfully). Also had Eric pierced my septum about a week ago, and that was also a good experience! True professional👌.He talks you through everything you need to know in terms of aftercare, and he walks you through the process of the piercing. They are really sterile, which was very comforting.Any issues Ive had with my piercings would be/have been just user error. Definitely recommend!!Another thing, the prices on the website dont seem to match the price they charge you. Website labels as more expensive. That happened for my septum ring, but I cant remember for my nostril. Would be great for the company to update them where its needed!
The experience at Pierced Out was fantastic. The staff was friendly and transparent. The piercer, Eric, I believe, was very descriptive during the entire process which I really appreciated. Everyone made me feel safe and not rushed. They accepted me without attitude as a walk in and I’m very happy with my piercing. Happy to go back here for my next.
I got my septum done here like 6 years ago and am so in love with it still. I remember the piercer being amazing, the staff being so friendly, and the pricing was a bit much but it felt worth it.I went back because I am interested in getting my nose pierced. Two on each side but I would be willing to settle for one on each side.Because of my past positive experience I was hoping to talk to someone in the shop about my anatomy and what would look best. When I asked about getting them done she said: “You have a nose so you’ll be fine.”The tone and the total lack of customer service lowkey left me speechless because my friends were Nextdoor getting tattoos and I was ready to drop the money regardless of price. It just made me feel gross because I’ve been thinking about these for a long time and was looking forward to it but oh well. I’ll have to go somewhere else!
Erik is a great piercer. Very kind and knowledgeable. He did a great job replacing my jewelry and re-piercing my nose. The staff is also very nice and helpful.
I’ve got 3 piercings from here over the past 4 yrs. Friendly professional workers, super clean environment. Best piercing shop i’ve been to
Everyone was nice, very clean and professional. the only problem i had was the pricing. it seems like they charged me for both pieces of a nose stud for the jewelry… the top was 25 and 20 for the end of the stud. i was told it was $20 for the jewelry. my total ended up being 62 plus the downsize fee and a tip. kind of disappointed because they didn’t tell me they charge separate charges for one piece of jewelry. absolutely ridiculous:/
I would highly recommend. Very clean, extremely friendly. Prices are explained before procedure. Have gotten 10 piercings from Annie, I can not speak highly enough about her. Eric has helped me with a jewelry change for an eye brow piercing, and an issue with another piercing. He was fantastic. They can help you with all your piercing needs.
Best experience ever! Got my lobes pierced and this was my first piercing ever. Everyone was very knowledgeable, understanding, and informative. Erik talked through the process as it was happening and all needles and items in use were fully sanitized or single use! Love the extra safety cautions and the care and detail put in by every staff member! Thanks Pierced Out for a great first experience :)
Place was clean, staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Erik pierced my helix and the whole process was extremely smooth!
The only reason Im leaving two stars is because the piercer himself was nice and efficient and seemed very clean. Other than that I want to talk about the pricing here. Ive been getting pierced for over 15 years and I have never had a piercing place charge the most ridiculous amount for mediocre jewelry. The picture attached is one of the smallest piercings Ive had. They charge $20 just for installation from past experiences at piercing places if you purchase jewelry its free installation. That was not even the problem. As I was standing talking with the girl helping me with piercings I kept asking the price of each item that I was looking at. The tiny star she quoted at $25. Which I thought was still a little bit above what it should be but regardless I needed the piercing in my nose since it had fallen out the day before. After getting pierced I figured the total would be no more than about $50. Due to the fact that I was quoted $20 for installation and $25 for the piercing. Upon checkout I was quoted $75! When I asked why it was so much the girl turned the screen around and showed me that they charge $25 for the star and an extra $25 for the bar. I mentioned to her that I have never seen a piercing place charge two separate fees for one piercing. At that point the girls only response was we can take it out which I thought was extremely rude and uncalled for. I told her that I did like the establishment but unfortunately due to the prices I would never be returning. So do yourself a favor and make sure you call around and see if the piercing places are charging a reasonable fee. You should never have to pay more than $50 for a small piece of jewelry including installation. Never never returning to this establishment. And Im going to make sure to warn everybody about it
Came in for my appointment on time and had to wait for an hour to get a tongue piercing. It was pierced too far back which made it hurt more. When I was downsizing at a different piercing place they noticed it immediately.
Both Annie and Erik are the best in the business. I can’t recommend them highly enough. They offer honest assessments on the suitability of different placements and offer creative alternatives when necessary. They also give thorough aftercare advice from cleaning to downsizing.
This piercing parlor has always been the best in town. To date, Ive had my: tongue, cartilage flat, belly button, industrial, lip, and nipples all done here, none of which gave me any issues ever. The staff are very experienced and professional, it is clean inside, and the jewelry is of top-shelf quality. You get what you pay for and I personally want nothing short of top-shelf quality inside my body.
This place is by FAR the best piercing place you will ever go to. The staff is so comforting and kind. The employees took good precautions and were very cleanly. All employees wore masks, and gloves. They have a large selection of jewelry to choose from which I loved. All piercing needles used were sterilized and new from an individual needle packet. Once your piercing was done that same piercing needle would get thrown away. OH MY GOSH, the amount of TIME THIS PIERCING TOOK WAS UNBELIEVABLE. I was prepared for this piercing to take at least two to three minutes, but guess what? The piercer Annie told me to inhale, halfway through my inhale, YES INHALE, she told me it was done. I was shocked! I barely felt anything! It was so painless and fun. Would definitely recommend to anyone trying to find a good piercing place. This is the one!
My experience at this piercing shop was outstanding. The welcoming atmosphere and cleanliness of the space immediately eased any concerns. Despite initial anxiety, the professionalism of the staff and the pristine environment reassured me. They dedicated time to perfecting my piercing, and the diverse selection of piercings showcased their expertise. I highly recommend this shop for a clean, welcoming, and meticulous piercing experience.
I have gotten 4 piercings(upper lobes, helix, and septum) at Pierced Out all done by Erik and they were all done beautifully! All heald perfectly! I highly recommend Erik as your piercer as he is very patient and guides you through the whole process. Best piercing shop! (dont go to claires!)
They were very nice, allowed me to walk-in, & had a good selection of jewelry but I’m pretty sure they put dirty jewelry inside my 1mo old belly piercing. No sterilization while they tried different size jewelry on me. I should of spoke up
Eric was my piercer. He was fabulous. I literally can’t say enough about him and my experience there. First off, the place is immaculately clean. Eric himself was practically in medical scrubs, 2 face masks plus a face shield. He used the same brown liquid to sanitize my skin that they use when you get surgery. I’ve literally never been in a cleaner more sanitary facility. Clearly he has very high standards for his practice (as one should!) He listened to all my uncertainties with getting two piercings versus one and helped lead me to my final decision without being pushy AT ALL. (I ended up getting my conch and rook pierced btw)He talked me thru the entire process which I fully appreciated and he took his time to mark the placement of each piercing. He even went so far as to make my conch piercing in the optimal spot so that when I wear a hoop (my end goal) in that piercing it looks exactly right. I was truly nervous about the pain, as my last piercing (my tragus) was 12 years ago now so it’s been a while. But the pain was practically nothing. I was really surprised how easy it was, and I attribute it to his skill and high quality equipment he uses. When it was all done you get a “goody bag” that explains all the aftercare in writing (which he goes over thoroughly in conversation prior to your piercing) and a small baggie of sea salt to soak your new piercing.I am seriously so impressed with Eric and his studio. I will be back for certain to get more piercings in the future without a doubt. I cannot recommend Eric more and I’m sure his other staff/piercers are great as well.Their selection of jewelry is beautiful. They had everything you could want from girly to “goth” —do kids even use that term anymore ??🤷♀️😉Lastly, my piercings are healing so well I don’t even have any soreness. I truly forget that they’re there until I go to itch it or something by accident. I think that is a sign of a great piercer (he’s a master piercer, actually).Just go here. You won’t regret it!!!
Thank you to Annie and the whole crew working this morning, we had a great experience. My 8 year old was nervous about getting her ears pierced and they were all so sweet and patient with her. Great jewelry options, very professional and clean. Thanks again!!
Eric did a great job with my Daith Piercings. Clean, professional environment, helped me stay calm through the experience. The piercings really helped with my migraines.
Highly recommend this shop.I had Mia help me with downsizing and my experience was phenomenal.1) listened to my concerns, wants and lifestyle. I’ve been to some piercing shops where it feels like they are not really listening to me and don’t understand/ care what my piercings mean to me. Kind of like they know better?2) helped me choose what I needed for the current state of my ears without judgement3) made me feel comfortable in the exam room and expertly inserted jewelry where I didn’t feel any poking or pain
Getting my septum was such an awful experience. First Ive never seen or heard of anyone laying down to get their septum done, that should have been my first red flag. The first girl who checked for my sweet spot was great and her placement was exactly where I was expecting. When the actual piercer came in, my face was shoved into her abdomen in a way where theres no way she could see my nose. All she did was feel around and then shove the needle through. It was the most insane pain I could have imagined. She walked out immediately without a double check or a single word. After 3 weeks of pain that didnt decrease and sensitive to the touch i checked in with several friends and other piercers and she had gone way too high up, too forward, and through my cartilage! The retainer for some reason has cornered edges so I need to straighten it out with pliers if I ever hope to remove it. For a like $100 piercing that I now have to get redone Im incredibly disappointed.
Just returned to Erik for another piercing. Hes done all of mine since I moved to the Bay Area, hes super fast, everything is spotless, its honestly done in the blink of an eye with no to minimal pain. Ive been getting piercings for the last (nearly) 2 decades and hes the best Ive ever had. Highly recommend this shop.
If youre considering getting an industrial piercing, look no further than Erik Dakota, the inventor of this iconic piercing style. I recently had the pleasure of getting my industrial done by him at the Pierced Out , and I have to say, I couldnt be happier with the experience. From the moment I walked into the shop, the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. They were knowledgeable and professional, answering all of my questions and ensuring that I understood the entire process from start to finish.Erik himself was an absolute pro. He made sure I was completely relaxed and at ease before beginning the piercing, and talked me through each step of the process. He was gentle, yet confident, and made me feel completely safe and in good hands. My man told me he was the one who created this piercing 30 years back, I was blown away and could not believe him. Gotta be so lucky to get it done by the OG. What a Legend. The actual piercing itself was quick did sting but I over came the pain, thanks to Eriks expertise. He clearly knew exactly what he was doing and took great care to ensure that everything was perfectly aligned and placed just right.Overall, I couldnt be happier with my experience getting an industrial piercing from Erik Dakota at Pierced Out. I would highly recommend this shop and this piercing artist to anyone looking for a truly professional and expertly-done industrial piercing.
Erik does an amazing job and really takes the time needed for clients that get lightheaded. Such a clean place as well. I would highly recommend him!!!
I had gotten my eyebrow pierced at a different place but they used the wrong size so my piercing was being submerged by my skin. i came here to get a longer bar and they were so much more caring, patient, and helpful. they explained everything throughly and did not rush, and were also very gentle (i felt no pain changing the piercing even though it was only 5 days old)
I went here to get my ears pierced, and I was naturally incredibly nervous. I have a terrible fear of needles, and considered backing out multiple times. However, the people behind the counter were so helpful in explaining everything to me, and the piercer, Erik, was absolutely amazing. He noticed that I was nervous, and kept the needle out of my sight, and made sure that I felt safe the whole time. I probably wouldn’t have gone through with the piercing if not for him. Also the jewelry itself is so pretty!! :D
This is the perfect studio. Everything was clean and displayed nicely. The staff of women I worked with to get my nose piercings were funny and welcoming, but also extremely knowledgeable and skilled. They gave good instructions and my piercings are healing nicely.. I’d recommend this shop to anyone!
Highly recommend! I took my daughter here years ago for ear piercing with Annie and as an 8 year old she didnt shed a tear! I just got my nose pierced with Erik and it could not have gone smoother or easier. These peeps are the real deal professionals. Immaculately clean, instantly know you are in good hands. Thanks Pierced Out!
Very good experience. Got both my ears pierced. Was able to get a same day appointment. Super easy and it barely hurt. Its been two weeks and I feel that they have already fully healed.
Excellent all around. Laidback, chill vibe. Friendly & helpful. Quick, easy & nearly painless. Friendly conversation & would definitely recommend! My sister and I went to get ear piercings together. Annie was our piercer. Already thinking about going back for another. Thank you! Second piercing in photo shown was done by Annie.Update: 4 months later. My piercings healed wonderfully! They’ve been good for a while now, but forgot to update sooner. Definitely would recommend!
This place was great!! Annie was very quick and precise. The piercings were painless, well placed, no blood or soreness. The whole appointment from paperwork to check out was quick, under 20 minutes. The only thing that kinda surprised me was the final cost. I knew going in that just the piercing service was $80 for double nose piercing, the hardware (I just picked the most basic studs) were $40 each but then with tax and tip I ended up paying $210. I think places are catching onto the *panic tipping* (which, yes, I very much did panic tip) but the tip was on the total final price, not just the $80 service so I tipped based not off her work but off the price of jewelry too. That was kind of annoying and I’m kicking myself that I didn’t realize that at the time. But again, I think it’s set up to be like that as this was a surprise tip where I wasn’t expecting to tip and it was just the options to pick the percentage. So, all in all, really great work and service. I think the pricing and tipping is a little shady though so for that reason I would just warn people about going here or tell them to ask the full price as they pick out jewelry and everything and be aware of the tipping screen.
I had my septum pierced in December. The whole staff was friendly. The materials used were clean. The entire process was so smooth. Of course the piercing hurt a bit but it really was one of the best piercing experiences Ive had.
Had my septum pierced by Annie today. Im a repeat customer of Eriks, but he doesnt do septums right now. I had just as good of an experience with Annie: my piercing was quick and painless and looks great. However, I do wish it said on the website that she will only pierce a septum with a retainer initially, because that means you have to wait 6-8 weeks after and come back to get it switched out for better jewelry. I understand the logic behind it and I went through with it regardless because I want my piercing to heal well, but I was surprised because most other shops dont do this. It would be good to let clients know about this policy before theyre in the shop for an appointment.
Ive had my nose pierced three times now and I got a double nostril piercing at pierced out. It has been the best healing experience Ive ever had. They are super professional and quick. I barely felt anything when getting my piercing done. Ive also bought several body jewelry pieces from them and they are very cute and high quality. This is my favorite piercing shop in the San jose area. Definitely recommend!
My firsts were VERY uneven, so I went to Pierced Out for a professional opinion and to get them fixed and evened. I was thinking I wanted an orbital, but I got good advice and we decided to add a third lobe piercing to each earAnnie was awesome! The process was comfortable, clean, and I felt safe. Their jewelry is high quality and their aftercare package is very helpfulIf you’re looking to get a piercing, and if you want some help thinking things through, I definitely recommend!!
Very friendly staff, clear and orderly covid policies in place. Very clean, well-structured, and efficient (including check in, my whole appointment for a double helix piercing was < 20 min).Eric was awesome and worked with me to really pick the ideal place for my piercing and was patient with me changing my mind a few times. He was professional and explained everything as he went along and gave me great after care advice. My piercing is still doing well a few days later, and it looks awesome :)
Never done a review before but felt i had to as getting a piercing is a pretty big decision. i dont think i couldve been more comfortable though, entire staff was welcoming and kind. Erik told me everything that was going to happen in order. next thing you know-everything happened the way he said it was. guy knows what hes doing. pain level was a 4/10, it didnt hurt as much as i thought it would. don’t bother searching for another location, this one was very clean, cost me around 150 for one nose piercing and some aftercare
Everything went great. Respect for the doctors work.
The place was very clean and seemed tidy. Both workers - the cashier and the piercer - seemed nice and service was very quick. However my main concern is that the staff didn’t really seem to care to take the time to help me make an informed decision. I went in to buy and install a nose ring for an existing piercing which had just had a stud for over a year. When I asked about my options for a gold hoop, they only presented two - solid gold or gold plated. When I asked questions about the difference between the two, they simply insisted it was just a matter of price. I explicitly followed up by asking if there were differences in longevity but both insisted that the only factor to consider was my budget. Based on their responses, I went with the cheaper gold plated ring and promptly had it installed. I only remembered after the purchase and installation about my sensitive skin but I thought the workers would be sure to mention it if that were an issue to consider. After 2 days, my nose became a bit red and irritated so I did some research and found a multitude of sources discussing how the likelihood for irritation was much higher for gold plated jewelry and that the longevity was explicitly much shorter for gold plated compared to solid gold. Gold plated piercings are not even really waterproof per one source, which makes me skeptical about using them at all around the face. Though I acknowledge I should have done more research, I really wish the workers had taken the time to ensure I could truly make an informed decision based on factors that were important to me (it seems they were optimizing for price and ease of taking out/in which weren’t of particular concern to me), especially surrounding my first and only facial piercing. Considering I had to explicitly reserve time to be there, I’d hope the cashier wouldn’t feel rushed to make me make a decision - as I was the only customer there for some amount of time. There were also no aftercare instructions or cautions given, so I was also not informed of the best way to extend the lifetime of what is an easily worn out piece of jewelry.Overall, while the place is probably nice for people who know what they’re looking for, I wouldn’t place full trust in them to inform me as a customer and someone who is new to body piercings.
Went in today to get my nose pierced. Christine greeted me and was very helpful picking out my jewelry and was very informative of everything I asked, she was so great!! Eric is simply amazing!!! I’ve never in my life have had a person be so gentle and so caring when it came to piercings. He cares so deeply about his customers and really made me feel welcomed. I had such a great experience thank you both for being amazing!!
Review from July 2019 - I posted to Yelp but forgot to add it here:My daughter, age 9, wanted to have her ears pierced and I was looking for a quality place to have it done. I did NOT want to go to the mall - those plastic guns are NOT sterile and Im not a fan of just a random retail worker doing this procedure. I quickly found Pierced Out thanks to Yelp, Google, and friend reviews.I called to set up an appointment and easily scheduled a time that worked for us. I went in and brought all the required paperwork - the person on the phone was very clear on what to bring which helped me prepared beforehand. :) I did not catch the name of the woman who helped us when we checked in but she was very friendly and was great explaining all the forms and making us feel welcome.Erik did the actual piercing and he was great. Every instrument was sterile and I could see him setting up all his materials. He talked my daughter through the entire piercing which helped her immensely. After the piercing, we received all the information on cleaning/hygiene as well as some supplies. They also encouraged us to come back if there were any issues or call with questions. :)All in all, everyone at Pierced Out was awesome! Yes, it is more expensive but you get what you pay for! I wanted an experienced technician and high quality jewelry so what I paid did not phase me one bit. Side note: they have levels of jewelry so you can choose quality jewelry that is more budget friendly if needed.
Literally the best experience and super easy! I got tragus piercings on both ears. Everything was clean and the staff are so friendly and make you feel comfortable!! So glad I choose to come here as I had been looking at all my options!! 😊
Very pricey. Even with cheapest earring to get my daughters ears pierced it was like $200? Feel like they charge large amounts for simple tasks. They ask for tip too like….why did I just pay a large amount for? Overall the experience was fine and my kiddo loved it but my wallet hurts.
Fantastic experience! Everyone was really great. Jewelry was easy to pick with great recommendations. Erik was a great piercer, he explained what he was doing and the reasons behind it the entire way through. If I ever get more piercings, I know where Im going.Plus they noticed it was my birthday and gave me greetings and a little pin on my way out 😊
Professional, very organized/clean, and friendly! Got my first nostril & lobe piercings done here. The have plenty of high quality jewelry options at good prices. They send you home with care instructions and a bag of sea salt!
Got my rook and conch pierced today and was so nervous but the whole experience from walking in to walking out was so comfortable and very welcoming. erik did an amazing job with both piercings making them as quick and painless as possible. his attention to detail is spot on and i couldnt recommend another person more. thanks pierced out! will definitely be returning for more (:
Buyer beware. I asked for niobium rings and they offered me 316L-surgical stainless steel hinged rings instead and when I asked about their make, they only called them colored metal. Any piercer who doesnt specify exactly what metal theyre using, red flags. I ended up deciding not to come back because I was suspicious over them trying to sell me a different material than what I asked for, especially because I have a nickel sensitivity. Another younger client there got a piercing while I was talking to them and despite the clients lack of confidence with aftercare, the piercer was willing to pierce them with a ring for a starter cartilage piercing piece rather than a straight labret for a piercing where a straight threadless labret was most appropriate. I dont recommend going to a piercer who is willing to set up a harder healing process for someone. The actual people there including Annie arent necessarily rude, they are just curt and to the point. The actual words they use are totally neutral and polite, so as long as you’re the kind of person who values content over delivery, they will be just fine. However, do your research of what you want to put in your body before you decide to come here. I can imagine many people who arent well-seasoned in receiving safe piercings and dont know best shapes/materials/brands of starter jewelry can misguidedly think they received the best care here when in truth its subpar and they arent willing to immediately divulge the material of their jewelry, and dont have their clients healing in their best interests.
By far, the BEST experience I have ever had. Previous to my last visit at Pierced Out, I had ONLY gone to one person who I trusted so very well, but after going to Annie, I don’t know why I trusted that guy at all!She knew I was a little nervous because I was getting my nipples re-pierced, and the last time I did it with my other piercer, it was SO painful and the most awful healing process. Not only did he completely mess up on my left nipple and have to re-due it a few days later, but the jewelry he used was cheap as hell. ANYWAYS, Annie knew exactly how to calm me down. She didn’t try to lie to me and tell me it wouldn’t hurt, because it was going to. Instead, she just asked me questions about work, school, boys, etc., in a very calm monotone, like nothing was happening. Before I knew it, it was done! And it only hurt like a 3/10. The first time I had them done with the other guy, it was for sure a 10/10 on the pain... Annie was so professional, so kind and honest. But beside all of that, they came out AMAZING! It hasn’t even been an entire week since I got them done and they have healed so nicely! They don’t bleed, they don’t hurt, nothing bad to say at all. I feel so confident with my shirt off. I love to show them off to my close friends! They agree that they look amazing and so cute.I read some of the other reviews about Annie, but I’m glad I went in anyways because 99% of the reviews are great! The very few that had a bad experience, I think that they are just not taking care of their piercing the way that they should. She has been there for 13 years+ and has done every known piercing about 10,000 times each. Once the piercing is on their body, it’s their responsibility to take care of it, don’t blame the piercer!BLAH! Word vomit haha sorry not sorry, but all in all, you will not regret your visit with Annie. She is great at what she does and a very cool person to talk to.
Got pierced by May for lobes, and it was amazing! Lovely experience with so many jewelry options! It was a really gentle procedure and was painless! Will go again and would definitely recommend!!
Ive gotten all my piercings here. Theyre extremely clean and the staff is really knowledgeable. They go over all the care instructions of your new piercing before and after you get pierced. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!The parking is a chore. There arent very many spots, its right next to a busy road, and there are a few popular businesses in the same little area.
After years of having 1 lobe pierced, I decided to get the other one done as well. They did not want to use the same gauge size as my already pierced lobe. The new one seems to be 20g vs the 16g one I already have. I wanted the location mirrored, that also did not go too well.So now I have to wait for it to heal to size up to the same size and theyre uneven. They didnt even tell me the size they used.Ive previously gotten 2 lobe piercings and 3 cartilage piercings at a diff shop, and I never bled as much as I did for this earlobe piercing.Just go to a different place, this place isnt worth the trouble. Okay-ish staff, pricing is weird and isnt very clear, and they arent as careful as other shops when it comes to poking a hole in your body
Rude lying girls working the front. Called and asked for prices and asked what their hours are and was told they close at 6:30. (Google says 7 but whatever). I asked if they take walk ins and they said the latest they take then is 6pm. Me and my friend get there around 5:55 and when we walk in the girl with curly brown hair in the front I spoke to on the phone asked how she can help ( she had the same voice.) I said we’d like to get pierced and the second girl in the back with shirt straight black hair loudly sighed “oh god” and then the girl with the brown said unfortunately we stop taking talk ins at 5:45 and I told her but I called and you said the last time for walk ins is 6pm, I wouldn’t have came otherwise. Then she was suddenly very apologetic trying to get me to come in tomorrow, but I’d rather go somewhere with nicer people who aren’t stuck up, rude, and liars. Great first impression!!
My son was in an accident and all his jewelry was removed by hospital. I called Pierced Out and asked for help finding him something he could wear during his hospital stay, non metal, so he can have surgeries and imaging and his piercings dont close. They were SO helpful. Sanitation and safety are obviously very important to them, and I was so impressed with the time they took to help find the right size.
Super friendly staff, meticulous protocol, dynamic inventory.###Update###Unfortunately came back to purchase more jewelry and they turned me away at 6:34 saying that they closed the registers at 6:30.Hours for walk in are posted on line and on the door as closing at 7pm.Just rode my bike 12 miles here to be turned down with 26 minutes left until closing time.Just to clarify I was just purchasing jewelry not asking for any services
Very friendly place, annie was very nice and kept me comfortable for my first nose piercing! they informed me about recommendations of which piercings to start with and how to maintain them as well. definitely coming back soon!
I wanted my ears pierced for years, but the gun piercer seemed unsafe to me. I eventually gave up the look and took a break for about 5 years, but one day my friend came to my house and her ears were pierced! The quality was amazing, I asked where she got her ears done and she said pierced out! I decided it was time to get my ears pierced, so I looked at it a bit and found out they don’t use a gun, they use a save and sanitary needle. Supposedly the needle is not supposed to hurt that much, the gun is more painful and your more likely to get an infection.I decided to at least go down to pierced out and see what it’s like. I walked in, there was a line, it looked long but it only took 5 minutes to get to the service. The front desk had us fill out a paper, (you need a ID or passport to get pierced)The paper had questions about you health and stuff, (need to eat at least 3 hours before coming ). I filled out the paper, and picked my earrings, the earrings they use are save and Titanic, so it’s as hypoallergenic as it can get! They have you go into a room with a lady named Annie, she is very nice and had a good conversation with me, the piercing was easy and almost painless. After I got pierced, they had me look over a paper with instructions on what to do when you get home, they said soak your ear in sea-salt water for 5-10 minutes twice a day, no Turing, and no swimming for 2 months, and in 3-6 months come back and they will take your earrings out and you can get your earrings of what ever you want. Over all I would come back the service was great and the people were nice!
The staff are friendly and personable, they remember who you are when you come back and they care. They are knowledgeable and careful, the practice good hygiene and keep a clean and healthy operating environment. The products they offer are high quality, their metals are medical-grade titanium and they can order specialized and custom products. The seating area is comfortable enough. Wait times are pretty short, too.
My first piercing in America was in this place. I was very nervous but Alana is very professional. She has a very soft and delicate hand. I did my piercing on my nipples and read that it was very painful. She made it easy, quick and with little pain. I recommend this place for being clean, reasonable cost, quality materials and most importantly by Alana who is professional and friendly!♡♡♡♡♡
The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They will advise the client if the piercing is a good choice and/or suggest an alternative with the reason why. The shop is extremely clean and the jewelry is top grade. After each of my piercings, I followed the care instructions and never had any problems. There is s reason why Pierced Out has been San Joses Best for the past 5+ years.
I’ve been pierced here several times and the experience is three for three, absolutely fantastic. As an aspiring piercer, this shop and its resident piercers are an inspiration to me in professionalism, enthusiasm for their craft, cleanliness, and knowledgeability.
Very professional, clean, and friendly. The selection of jewelry is plentiful and high quality. I got a helix piercing done, and the process is quick, safe, and easy. They provide aftercare instructions (verbal and written) and a bag of sea salt to make your own saline solution. Am definitely going back for the next one!
Amazing service and very knowledgable team. I had plenty of questions and they provided not only answers, but reasons behind their answers. I was a bit nervous but they also didnt assume I was ready for a piercing that day, had more of a lets talk about it and then you can decide vibe which took a lot of pressure off of my shoulders. *did get the piercing though*Highly recommend whether you are researching or are ready for a piercing!
Did a quick walk in to finally get my ear lobes pierced for the first time, had thaty recommended to this place by a friend. The process was quick and easy and nearly painless. The whole place is very professional and all tools used are clearly sterile and safe and all precautions for a clean environment are taken. Information on how to care for piercings is clearly given and sea salt to promote healing is even given at the end. There was a nice variety of jewelry and its all safe for new piercings. The only problem I had is that the person who did the piercing was a little stuck up about piercings and knowledge. I felt a little intimidated by this, so not that great for the experience. Overall I am still happy with my lovely earrings and Im glad I picked Pierced Out.
My go to Body Jewelry place! Prices arent low but the quality of the jewelry isnt either.I get my opals here with the inserted backing that never comes off.For the 10$ they will help you install your jewelry.Friendly staff. Convenient location :) Awesome selection. The best in the bay!
Great experience here at Pierced Out. I was able to come in as a walk in and was helped promptly. The atmosphere was pleasant and the place was notably clean. Staff was friendly and professional. I had both my nipples pierced by Annie and it was a quick and easy process. Highly recommended stopping in for a piercing here.
I have a great experience everytime I come here. Ive gotten a few piercings done here, have bought custom jewelry here and have gotten help removing stuck jewelry. This is my go to piercing shop in the south bay. The staff is professional and helpful, they carry high quality jewelry and the store is very clean. Id definitely recommend anyone to come here for piercings or jewelry.
My experience at Pierced out was no less than the best. I walked in and asked about getting an industrial piercing, thank goodness Alana was there. She informed me that my cartilage would not take because of my anatomical design. She suggested a helix piercing and I loved it. Alana was personable, knowledgable, and poised. You can tell shes been piercing for awhile. She has a very good vibe which helped during the piercing process. She helped me stay calm and before I knew it, I was pierced and ready to go. Thank you so much, Alana! I will definitely be back and I look forward to many more piercings from Alana.
This is a good place. They were very professional and took time to ensure correct placement, and communicated well the entire time. What really prompted me to write this review though was that they turned away a customer who appeared to be tipsy, which I think shows a lot of integrity and care for their work.
Failed to pierce the ears for my daughter. Twice. After the first time (three months heal) it was impossible to re-insert the same temporary earrings. So they took a second payment to simply re-insert the earrings back and told us to wait five months. Five months later it was the same problem. How many times does it take to pierce a single hole? Not recommended.
Took my 7 year old to get her ears pierced. They use a needle (one ear at a time) and I wasnt sure how she was going to do. Erik did an amazing job with her. She didnt flinch or cry! I would recommend making an appointment or the wait can be a little long if they are busy.
My daughter wanted her belly button done. First timer. Annie was so wonderful she was kind and gentle. She helped her relax and before she could react it was over. I highly recommend this establishment! Thank you Annie!
I loved my experience here! Their website was great prep for my visit and was really transparent with pricing. The jewelry selection in the store is great and the woman that pierced me was so friendly. This place is so clean! I cant wait to tell all my friends about this place.
Just got my nose pierced!!! Alana was knowledgeable, patient and kind. She was gentle and fast too! I was nervous and it turned to be a great experience! Facilities were clean and prices are reasonable. No pain and I got my nose bling!
Okay so I wrote a review 10 months ago and giving them a five star rating but now I have different feelings. I had gotten my nose done 10 months ago and was absolutely in love with it but the issue was it was so tender even after it healed. It had gotten infected and I dont know why. About 3 or 4 months after the piercing it closed on the inside and I believe it was because of the jewelry I had. Prices are a little on the crazy side there. I would it go back only cause I dont want to risk something like this again. I will say they were kind to me and gentle but my piercing shouldnt have gotten infected that badly.
Really talented piercers great work nice jewelry but pretty pricey. Definitely worth the price for more difficult piercings. I got my dermals done there as well as my hood and Christina. They do a lot of rare piercings here that others dont offer and I wouldnt trust many other places to do even if they would.
Front desk worker was nice. The piercer, Annie, was rude, crookedly pierced my septum at a 16g (when everyone else ive talked to had it done at a 14g without having to ask), and gave me a warped retainer. She even mentioned how the retainer was too small and I should have a bigger one but didnt offer to fix it. Now, about a week later, because the retainer was too small it has worn a raw spot on my septum due to pinching it too tightly. Sad to see the quality of this place isnt the same that it was 12 years ago.
Mark was extremely thorough and friendly with me and explaining in detail how to properly flip up my septum. He was very gentle with my nose and he definitely knows what hes doing. 10/10 I would definitely come here again!
Always such a great experience here. Erik was fantastic today but everyone who has pierced me there has always been. They get busy so be prepared to wait regardless of the time of day. Totally worth it!
I just had my septum piercing today! And I am soooo OBSSESSED about it. Big thanks to ERIK!!! Please please please do look for him. I highly recommend him. He did a really GREAT job. He really makes sure that I feel comfortable. All the staffs are very nice!! Would definitely come back for another piercing. ♡♡♡
Love this place and Erik is the only person I trust to pierce me!Came here last summer for a philtrum piercing and it was then that I could see the perfectionism and professional skill that Erik operates with - butCame back again for a septum piercing on a whim and managed to catch Erik again. I immediately felt relief, as I have a deviated septum and for this piercing wouldn’t just ~go anywhere~ and let just anybody do it. Glad I stuck to my gut, too, because once again Erik took his time to examine my face and ensure that my piercing would be perfect for my face. And once again - it is! I’ve gone years with little confidence that I could pull off a septum piercing due to it being deviated and therefore making things a bit complicated as far as angle and positioning goes. I’m very happy with my results, Erik is a fantastic piercer that I highly recommend!
Workers were very helpful and had a good system in picking jewelry and then getting the person pierced. Very clean. Make sure you double check cost and receipt. I asked the guy who checked us out to add tip on card and he doubled the amount I told him to add.
Was recommended this place by a friend. Drove 30+minutes to take my daughter in today for her first ear piercing! But we could not because I didnt have an ID for my 13yo minor child...Several phone calls to establish the appointment (three separate calls). No one told us to bring ID for the child. Wife called them to see what in the world they were talking about (remember, three on the phone conversations and no one told us to bring ID), they lied to said they texted and emailed this information to us. If you emailed and texted this info, please screenshot prove me wrong. Otherwise, rude and purposefully unhelpful. Keep them away from your kids.
Pierced Out was a very interesting shop that had a natural & positive energy throughout it. I took my daughter there for her first piercing and was impressed with the organization and cleanliness. I am so HAPPY that her first piercing experience was at a most excellent place. =) CHECK IT OUT!
I have been here 3 times. 2 for piercings and 1 for a jewelry change. The gurl who pierced me is no longer there. She was awesome! Super friendly and personable. I wish the same were true for the remaining staff. Wont be back again.
The. Best. Piercing. Place. Period. They do all body piercings. The best professionals. I have had multiple kinds with this team and never an infection or issue! I love their jewelry! They are sterile and professionals! I take everyone I know who wants a piercing here!! I recommend them to everyone! Do not second guess just go!
Very clean, professional, and excellent at what they do. Took my daughters ages 9 & 13 for ear piercing.
This place was amazing, friendly professional staff. I will admit I was a bit of a skeptic but once I was there to get pierced I was blown away by the service and professionalism received by Alana. By the way I didnt even suffer any of the discomfort that tends to happen after you get pierced like irritation, or pain or any of that, Alana was amazing!
Love the place. The selection is great. The staff is conscientious (i.e. clean) and friendly. I had to remove my earrings for an MRI, and they even refit the balls in the hoops free of charge, after I gave up trying to get them in myself.I liked them with my first visit, and even more now. Ill be going back for anything and everything from now on.
Tooky 9yo daughter here to get her first ear piercings. Alana did an amazing job talking to her, explaining how it might hurt, and helping keep her calm from any overreacting. She did fantastic and my daughter walked out a very happy little lady
Just went in for my navel piercing. I was shocked to find out that not every navel is the same. Alana was knowledgeable in explaining why the normal barbell wasnt great for my healing. She talked with me throughout every step. I got light headed after and Alana was patient with me, as there were people waiting after me. Feels like I didnt get pierced.
Annie was great, she took the time to help me chose my jewlry for my piercing gave me ideas on a different piercing and was quick. It wasnt as painful as i thought it would be. I would recommend for anyone to come here for a great experience.!!!
Very clean. Make an appointment unless just replacing jewelry. I was looking for bar bells for my cartridge piercings and they had a lot of great options and reasonably priced install of new jewelry
I have pierced here multiple times, eight times to be exact. Here are a list of pros and cons of the shop, from my experience.Pros:*Professional piercers(I am partial to Alana)* They have integrity* The room is always cleaned before and after each customer* They actually respond to Facebook messages.Cons*They dont ask questions before they sell you jewlery for piercings done at a different shop, or at all.* When I asked for the same jewlery as my other lobes, I ended up getting earrings with ball backings instead of flat; which I didnt notice until after.*The lack of a return policy on jewelry. Especially when they have an autoclave machine.* You cant by their products onlineWill I return to the shop? YesWill I have to service myself in the jewelry department? YesDoes this mean three stars instead of five? Yes
Amazing place and even more amazing are the people! Love Pierced Out! You feel beyond safe in their hands. Make an appointment and go check them out! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!
Worst place to go to!!! Prices are ridiculous service was good but for $170 not worth it. I thought my piercings would come out amazing but no ended up taking them out the next day. First off they gave me the wrong jewelry and they messed up my whole look on both of my ears.
Great experience great service. Dont know what others are talking about. Alanna was great and answered our questions and was a real nice person. Took my woman to get nipples pierced and everything was great.
1. didnt check id. 2. painful attempts to remove a jewelry by hands when clearly tools were needed. not worth the price charged for jewelry change.
The staff is amazing. I would definitely bring my daughters back here again.Visited again a year later with my daughters once again they did a wonderful job!!!!
This was an amazing experience! It was so quick and not painful at all! I felt so comfortable and all the stress I had about getting my cartilage pierced went away. 10 out of 10 recommend!
Super helpful, welcoming gals who thoroughly explained the process for my piercing as well as the aftercare. Annie is excellent. I love my septum piercing. Highly recommend!
Been pierced bought multiple expensive jewelry. They are rude , have an attitude horrible customer service like they are doing you a favor . Not efficient or helpful at all . I won’t be spending anymore money here again .
I went in for to get my daith yesterday and it bled a little bit when I first got it which was normal. A couple hours went by and I was gushing blood for about an hour then I called the store and they told me to “put gauze on it and it will soak it up” but I was going through a whole role of gauze every 15/20 minutes so I thought maybe it will stop soon. I ended up having blood gushing out for 3 hours and ended up in the emergency room with the doctor telling me “they pierced a vessel or artery”. The doctor took it out and had to leave a special gauze over night to seal the in/out hole where the daith was pierced. I am now 24 hours later with no daith and a horrible feeling about pierced out!!
My daughters and I travel FROM Santa Cruz TO Pierced Out for our piercings. Were picky and knowledgeable (Ive been getting pierced since the 80s) and theyre awesome! Cartilage, tragus, gauges, noses, belly buttons, etc. etc. And were not done yet. We wont go anywhere else.
Great staff, clean rooms and lobby area. They makes things quick and as painless as possible. They knew what they were doing and at no time did I have any worries. I highly recommend them, been going for 10 yrs if not longer.Merry Christmas
This is the best place ever! I appreciate the level of care and caution due to the pandemic. I love the appointment system and the staff there is amazing, I would never go to any other studio this place has everything!
Professional, clean and quick! I brought my son for his 18th birthday gift of earrings, and the team was fast, friendly, and got the job done painlessly.
:( straight up missed the mark for where my dermal was supposed to go so it came out lop sided and created the scar. It was taken out and redone but came out crooked again. I showed it to another piercer and I was told they did it too shallow, so they messed up, twice, on the same piercing. Nothing happens if you complain. Lesson learned that even with a bunch of good reviews, mistakes can still happen, but I wasn’t happy with how the mistake was handled
Ive gotten quite a few body piercings both from Annie and Erik. Super nice staff, beautiful jewelry to purchase and professional, clean studio. Highly recommend.
Oh my gosh! Everyone was so nice, it was professional, it didnt hurt, and it was reasonably priced! Thank you so much! I am obsessed!
Team is thorough and friendly and head piercer Annie definitely knows what shes doing, and checks in on you to make sure youre ok during piercing.
Excellent service. Very kind and patient with all my questions. Only allowing one person in at a time but I never felt rushed. Must have an appointment to go right now.
Got my septum done and they were very professional. Enjoyed my experience there!
Never will I ever go to another piercing location. This place not only has the inventor of the rook and daithe, but they take the health and safety of staff and customers with complete seriousness.
Very nice and welcoming! My daughter got her septum pierced. Good prices and clean facility! A+ from us!
Staff is nice, but they overcharge and do not tell you the extra fees until it is time for you to pay. They also charge extra for the backing of an earring which makes no sense.
Took my daughter to pierce her ears there. Walk in, super hygienic and clean. Quick service, the lady was patient answering all my daughters questions. Recommended
The employees and piercers at this shop are knowledgeable and patient! Huge shout out to Annie for giving me my amazing nose hoop and for always being a message or visit away for advice!
Very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. Wide selection of jewelry.
I Was kinda disappointed with the piercing selection here. They did not have any nipple piercing jewelry. They had some unique earrings that I thought were cool, but not for $120 bucks.
Any piercing needs, THIS is the place! Love my new white gold nose ring! The guy that helped me was REALLY nice.. sorry I forgot his name 😁
I would happily refer and recommend anyone interested in piercings to make this place your one stop shop. The staff are all pleasant and extremely knowledgeable.
Erik Dakota is the best!! Made the experience smooth and easy. Will go to him for all my future piercings!!!
My daughter got her ears pierced here. They really know what they are doing here. You can tell. Precise, careful, observant. Expensive, but worth it.
Super friendly, and gave me an otter pop afterwards :]

Very clean and super easy to feel welcomed and safe. Will go above and beyond for services would highly recommend.
I’ve always gone to Annie! A year ago I got my left daith done by her and yesterday I got my right one done and she did an amazing job
The only place to go in the South Bay for piercings. Extremely clean, and professional. Annie is amazing at what she does!
Worst experience ever girl at front desk seems like she doesn’t like her job she don’t wanna help out she made big deal about vaccine card that she can’t take pic it would have to be physical like are u kidding me
You can smell how clean the studio is as soon as you walk in, and Niall was so great. 10 out of 10 would go again.
Love this place. Have gotten most of my piercings and all of my jewelry from this shop. Annie is awesome!
My daughter had her nose pierced, the place is very clean and the people are Great
Won’t even sell jewelry without an appointment. The woman behind the counter seemed to have been huffing whip it’s when I walked up. Trash
I knew what I wanted and a professional helped me right away. In and out with proper care instructions 20 minutes.
Excellent, the most professional and lovely team. Highly recommend, they are the best!
