Love my tattoo, by Marisa. She did a great job on darker skin, didnt go too deep and didnt leave any scaring. I love the detail in your drawing and how friendly she was while working. What I dont like however, is the communication when getting a custom tattoo, I do understand about not wanting to get their design stolen but it has to be some partnership in this. I want the time to go over drawing prior to the day off the appointment and discuss design details. Its your job but my body. I have ran into that with several tattoo places and some I had to walk away from on the day off because the drawing werent right.

We walked in with a group of 5 people all wanting flash tattoos back on July 27th for a bachelorette party. Sage was SO great and FUN and got us taken care of pretty fast when we were in a time crunch. The shop has a ton of cool flash designs and was reasonably priced. Thanks Sage for being SO FANTASTIC! I came here for my first tattoo, I wish I could give this place 10 stars. The artist Levi was extremely laid back and very easy to talk to, he made this experience overall way less stressful than I anticipated genuinely one of the coolest people Ive met in a while. Levi absolutely killed it and exceeded my expectations in overall quality by a tenfold. I am 100% happy with my first tattoo I love it!Now lets talk about the shop, this place is absolutely spotless very very clean and everything is super tidy. The environment is very relaxing and its not an overwhelming atmosphere by any means super chill in there, very nice bathroom where I was able to change in some shorts it was freakin spotless in there very sanitary place. I highly recommend both Levi and Ants Tattoo in general. 🤠👍

@Marisa, first and foremost, thank you! I took a forearm tattoo I sketched up. Little did I know, but tattoo artist find bands difficult because of placement and the human anatomy is not a perfect square. There are muscles and bone to take into account. Marisa took my sketch and made some awesome suggestions. To simply get the stencil took a bit, but she was determined to make it right, which I didn’t mind. Never once did it felt rushed. She must have placed the stencil on my arm about 5 times to ensure it was the best placement and that it looked centered. Again, I greatly appreciate the patience and dedication. Other artist would just say “eff it, let’s just get it over with” but loved the dedication here. It’s a tattoo! It should never feel rushed. And the tattoo has sentimental value as well. Well, tat came out clean! Them lines are sharp! I know it was a grueling tattoo, but what an amazing outcome! Thank you!

It took me a while to write this review party because I am lazy and partly because of how horrible this experience was and not wanting to have to think about it.I first received a recommendation (kinda) for this shop from an acquaintance who didn’t speak highly at all of the shop but I liked the art. I looked it up, and dmed the artist I liked the art of most (Zoey). What I wanted was a coverup of part of a tattoo that I had earlier in my life that came out poorly. I sent thé artist references of what my current art looked like, as well as a coverup outcome of someone who had a similar tattoo. She said she could do it and it would be 500-600$ (yeesh) which is a lot, however it was worth it to me, and all was good.It was a little concerning about the lack of communication, but she said she could do it so I wasn’t too worried. Fast forward to the day before my appointment, where I had already paid the $100 deposit. She all of the sudden had a lot of questions about specifics, and I was extremely confused about why she wouldn’t have asked all of this a month ago when I made the appointment. I answered, and she said we could talk more in the shop. More alarm bells.I got to the shop, and all of the sudden she couldn’t do what I wanted. My lines were already too dark and she thought she was just going to do basic shading (for 600$???).So I scrambled. Here is where this falls on me. I looked for something, anything that we could do as a coverup instead of just walking out. Sunk cost fallacy. I settled on a spider, as I have been wanting a nice, widowey blackwork spider tattoo for a while. She draws it, after complaining, and it looks horrible. The spider looks thick and rough and the body is curved and for some reason this woman thinks that a spider’s body is curved when it’s walking to the side. I make her redraw it several times and she reluctantly does until it kind of looks passable. Again I need to just walk out but I didn’t.During the tattoo, she didn’t really try to talk at all and was quiet. She didn’t ask how I was doing or anything. The results of the tattoo were also not good. The black splotch that now is the spider is uneven, the legs are different shapes, thicknesses, and lengths and the artwork barley resembles a spider. The black part of it is unevenly shaded, as well. Additionally, I asked her to leave AS MUCH blank space as possible to have potential fixes be easier down the line and so it wouldn’t stand out as much. She didn’t listen to that at all. It looks horrible and has made me extremely self conscious of my arm and honestly ruined a lot of tattooing for me which sucks because I love art and being “one” with art.I strongly recommend against going to this shop. My artist (kinda lol) Zoey disregarded my concerns, and lied to me until after I had paid my deposit and then forced me to come in and fix her horrid communication on the spot. It is my fault for not walking out, but I shouldn’t have to. Please don’t go here if just to not support practices like these and if you do, don’t go to Zoey.

I passed by to book an appointment for the next day. They were able to book me a spot at the time I wanted! In most tattoo shops, its takes a few days or even weeks to get a spot。 Rin (the tattoo artist) was super attentive. She made sure I was happy with the design. She did an amazing job and its healing super well!

Went here for a Friday the 13th flash and had an underwhelming and slightly irritating experience. On their Instagram, they stated there was no limit on the number of flashes you could get, but when we arrived we were told we could only get one each. I came on day 2, so I understand if they realized no limit wasnt feasible after day 1, but they hadnt posted any updates anywhere, so it was disappointing to find out while being taken in that you could only get one. Also, I was only about 7th in line, and getting a small, very simple tattoo, which took less than 10 minutes, but there didnt seem to be a system by which they took people back, so six or seven people who were behind me in line got taken to an artist before me. The tattoo work was fine and the artist was nice enough, but the lack of organization and disappointment and frustration made me not want to go back unless I was seeking work from a specific artist.

The best tattoo experience I’ve had. Zoey was kind, professional, and very proactive about making sure I was comfortable and getting feedback. The other artists and staff were friendly. I had a great time being distracted by all of them during the process. And I’m thrilled with the final result; Zoey has fantastic attention to detail. Will definitely go back to them for more. I had reached out to their email listed to inquire about consultation on a tattoo I’ve been wanting to get and there was significant delay in response because the “owner” of their email doesn’t really check they’re inbox. After getting a response, I told them my timeline and what I was looking to get and still no answer.So, I showed up to their shop in SJ for a consultation. The receptionist was nice, I told her what I was looking to get and she partnered with an artist for a quote. She came back to me with a quote of $2k for a 7x5” tattoo. She didn’t show me a book of their work, didn’t introduce me to the artist that was SITTING RIGHT THERE and had the nerve to charge me $2k for work I know isn’t that expensive. I got a half sleeve done in Santa Barbara that took more time, had more detail and I paid about $1500 with a nice tip included. I get compliments all the time about how realistic and detailed the artwork looks.I understand cost and art can’t really be moderated but the interactions I experienced in combination with the price? Not worth it in my opinion.

The studio is super clean, bright, and welcoming! It’s a very creative and comfortable space! I’ve had 2 separate appts w Weiqi and it’s always a wonderful experience! Both tattoos were done super carefully w amazing attention to detail and they have healed beautifully! Love to recommend this shop and plan to book again!

I got my tattoo with rin, and she did an amazing job. I would recommend anyone to go see her(and already have!). she was kind and thoughtful and is an absolutely amazing artist. Great first tattoo and I am super happy!

Great experience here Getting tattooed by Rin. My friend and I walked in and both got a couple of small pieces which look awesome and have been healing nicely. My friend got her finger tattoos touched up and they look 1000 times better! Rin and everyone else working there was super chill and helpful through the whole experience. Definitely would recommend and go back again!

I chose this place to get my first tattoo. My friends suggested me to book Zoey as my artist and I have been suggesting her to others ever since. Extremely happy with their service. They are prompt and organized. Zoey was very understanding and gave me practical advice on how to take care of my tattoo.

I received a tattoo that was poorly done . I went back to the shop 7 days after due to traveling for work and being out of town . I went back to the shop and was insulted. It’s clear that this shop does not fairly treat people of color / black women . I showed the artist and shop assistant and they both agreed that there was a clear issue . Instead of taking their ownership to the next level and fixing my tattoo they instantly offered me money back instead of fixing it. It’s crazy how black people are always racially profiled and not treated equally . They rather offend me and give me money back that I didn’t ask for as opposed to fixing my tattoo. I have seen how much effort they put in for their tattoos they offer other clients that aren’t black . So it’s clear as to why I was turned away .

Awesome experience and great ambience and artists. Came in as a walk-in. They worked with me and were patient. CameFrom out of state and chose them cus I liked their work I saw On tik tok. Justin did an amazing job!! Def recommend this shop

Great place, me and my friends went in and we hung out for several hours while the tattoos got done, super chill atmosphere. zoey was very professional and accommodating for our four different designs, and worked with us to get the details just right.

Do not come here for a flash event. The tattoo shop failed to mention that most of the artists during this event are apprentices with barely any experience on fake and real skin. The lines on my tattoo are blown out. She also inadvertently hit my skin causing 5 random dots that were not part of the design . I’m already planning a cover up with another artist. Unless you have Zoey or Rin as a tattoo artist, don’t bother.

I can’t say anything about the artist but I can say that they’re disappointing.I called to confirm that they had an opening for a walk-in for two people for tattoos they said yes they just needed reference photos. I sent them what we wanted to get they said it was too big so I sent them some thing that was probably going to take them about 20 minutes between the two of us. We had already arrived after spending a decent amount of money to get to them and they sent us away. He literally texted me as we walked in saying no we’re not gonna take you after all.I came from 40mins away. I will not try to go there again. I don’t think places should say that they except walkins if they turn you away when you get there. They were nice enough to give me some water though as I waited for my Uber.

Had a big piece done on my ribs by Zoey, super clean, super pretty.The booking was easy and quick.The staff is nice and its sanitary!Recommend!
