Have had early all of my ink art done here. Tattoo John is amazing and has always been spot on. He has done more then 20 tats on me & It’s been 20+ years and I wouldn’t trust anybody other than John or Angel to put ink on me.If you want the best tattoo without paying ridiculous prices, having to have consultations and wait weeks for an appointment… this is THE SPOT! 🤙🏼

I have been going to San Jose Tattoo for almost 5 years and they are great! I have five tatts by John and each was done beautifully. I bring him my rough ideas and John the s them into art. I love how the team treats each person with kind respect and they are honest.

Wow experience !!! It was my first time tattoo when I decided to do it , and luckily I went to this San Jose tattoo , Artist Angel was such a Gem person I ever came across , I was anxious yet hesitant but John and Angel were lively and they make sure I was happy with my tatto .. i was thinking only one tattoo , but m thinking for more tatoo now 😇😇 and finally I did my first tattoo with the great Artist ..Thank you John ,

The reason I 1st went to San Jose Tattoo was because its the oldest tattoo shop in San Jose. Almost 50yrs Also they still take walk ins. Great prices 60$ minimum. Tattoo John & Angel are some of the best tattoo artist around.

I have gotten 3 of my tattoos at this location by both artists and they have amazing rates.

San Jose Tattoo is a fantastic, I was super impressed with the tattoo I got. The place is not fancy and the building is old but the art was beautiful.

Love San Jose Tattoo Shop. The atmosphere is cool. Angel and John are very nice and do excellent work!!!! Angel is my tattoo artist, and I love his work!!! Im very happy and satisfied with all my tattoos he has done for me.

I would give this a 4.5 stars. My tattoos was done by Angel. He has a very steady hand and very interactive with his customers. He gives you exactly what your looking for. This was my first time getting a tattoo. After my first tattoo, i ended up getting one more. I love both my tattoos. I definitely recommend this place. The best part is professional do your tattoo for less than 50 bucks per design or skin area. :)

Had some work done, friendly, honest, fair. Will be back. Update: 6/2023 another 5 stars to this place for my 2nd tattoo here.

We had Angel as our artist when we came in. He was super nice and patient about my cousins and I getting matching tattoos. He made sure we were happy with sizings and positions before actually giving us the tattoo. Would definitely go back.

Horrible experience.i called few days before before going and they said it’s a walk in. I went on last Saturday and they said they are all booked up. I drive all the way and had to come back without getting a tattoo. I called up today, it’s a Tuesday to make sure they take me in when I reach there. The guy who answered the call was so rude, he said it’s a walk in. I told him this happened to me last time. He said try another shop and hung up on me. Such an a** ****.did not even get a tattoo and had such a horrible experience.Updated after response from owner.That’s absolute lies that I demanded an appointment for 4:30. When I said I am planning to come at around 4:30 and wanted to know if I can get sth done without returning empty handed, he said we don’t know if we can take you in. I did not want to drive till there to find out they are fully booked. If it is a walk-in, then why did he send me back on Saturday? I went around 4:30 on Saturday and the shop was open till 8 and he just said we are fully booked without even saying sorry.

First went to John in 1980. All of my tattoos have done by John. An old school, no bs tattoo artist. I hope he is able to reopen his shop one day.

I was skeptical... its a small shop and the portfolios out are not my style. but I ended up loving my tattoo.. it was a hummingbird. It was perfect. Amazing prices as well. This is the only place I go and Ive gotten four other people hooked as well lol

First time going to a new tattoo artist since i started getting tattoos, definitely affordable, and steady hand. Could have been a lil more helpful but none the less he killed it. Good job ! Will be back.

I went to go get a couple tattoos, it didnt take much time at all they both listened to what I wanted drew up a tattoo and i loved it. John had a light hand the tattoos came out great!

Such a great experience here, the artist was able to recreate some of my late mothers handwriting to have the last thing she said to me tattooedThough small this shop is now one of my favorite in the area and I will absolutely be coming back!

Its a nice a place. I felt a nice vibe there and great vibes from the artists. I got my first tattoo and Im getting my second tattoo there again hopefully soon.
