The best piercing experience I’ve ever had. Scout made me super comfortable I didn’t even feel nervous! I really appreciate that they walked me through every step and let me know what’s going on for the entire process. I love that they ensure your anatomy will be right for the piercing you’re wanting and I am in love with my new navel piercing 😇 also super awesome that they can anodize the titanium jewelry if you’re wanting a different color, definitely recommend and will be back for future piercings!

I went to Mom’s last week and they were able to get me in the same day which I was so excited about. I went in early to pick out my jewelry and was hoping for gold but it was over $200 for just the front pieces of the earrings so I decided against it and went with a lower cost option since these are temporary and I want to switch to hoops after healing. I went into my appointment knowing the apprentice would be piercing, she was honestly the sweetest but the appointment took over an hour when it was quoted to last (15-20 minutes) making us late for our dinner reservation. She did accidentally pierce one ear at a weird angle (she noticed it not me) but quickly offered to fix it. Removing the jewelry that was tightly in my ear was very painful so she got the head piercer to come in and fix it. He did a great job and comped the $15 fee for the labor. I was happy with the final results. My total came out to about $100. Although there were a series of unfortunate events. I probably would have still left a 5 star review but I had a big issue after… the earrings snag on my pillow case and pull on my earrings so hard every night every time I move or turn (which hurts!) I don’t believe $100 earrings should do that. The metal that holds the gem in the earring front must have an issue, it happens on both sides so I’m assuming they are just made that way. I have had my piercing for just over a week and I’m already so sick of it it’s really affecting my quality of sleep and I still have 11 more weeks of healing to go (77 more nights of sleeping with this annoying and painful snagging jewelry on my healing ears) I’m really not trying to be dramatic but this is not an issue I would have foreseen happening by going to a specialty piecing studio. It’s really unfortunate.

I was pierced by Zach today! I have seen some beautiful tattoos done at this shop and had pretty horrible piercings experiences at other places, so I made an appointment here expecting professionalism and excellence. That’s exactly what I found. There were lots of jewelry options, and everyone was kind and courteous. The piercings themselves were as painless as physically possible and Zach obviously knows what he’s doing. Pricing could have been explained a little better as I didn’t fully understand what I was paying for. I will definitely be returning next time I have tattoo/piercing needs!

My daughter had a state basketball tournament in Spokane. She was disqualified from playing unless she removed her nose piercing (HS rules apparently). My daughter’s piercing was fairly new so it would have closed up quickly without something there. We luckily found Mom’s Custom Tattoo. Because of the urgency of the situation, Zach immediately remedied the issue and without even having an appointment, he put a clear glass plug in my daughter’s nose piercing so it would be undetected and not close up! And then 2 days later we returned to have my daughter’s piercing put back in, free of charge! Zach saved the day! My entire experience with their customer service was amazing! The store/business was very welcoming and has an awesome first impression appeal. It was clean, professional, and had tasteful decor. The people there providing service were friendly and competent in their profession, and they immediately had gained my complete trust. I highly recommend Mom’s Custom Tattoo for their services. If we are ever again in the area we plan to go back and do some shopping there, maybe even another piercing! Thank you so much for everything!

I went into get my septum pierced by scout. The studio is super clean and inviting, and everyone was super friendly. Scouts apprentice did a wonderful job helping me pick my jewelry, and scout was very kind and helped ease my nerves.

I was going to go to anchored art tattoo for my back tattoo and they quoted me 6 to 700 dollars for a small back tattoo!! I decided to get a quote from Susan at mom’s tattoo and she said it would take an hour. An hour is 165!!! So I cancelled my tattoo appointment at anchored art tattoo and went to Susan instead!!! I actually got the tattoo larger than what was in the picture and it only took an hour!!! It’s beautiful!!! Susan is an amazing artist!!!!!! Also the jewlry at mom’s tattoo is beautiful and amazing!!! Overall an amazing shop!! Always check around for tattoos!!!!

I’ve gone to moms twice now and it’s definitely my favorite shop in town. Beth did an amazing job with color saturation for my Majoras mask tattoo. It still looks fresh even a year later. And Natalie gave me one of the best experiences of my life. Doing a ritual tattoo was amazing. Working with her was great, she listened to every detail, and actually going through the ritual is unworldly. She literally helped me reclaim a part of myself. I couldn’t be happier with this shop. And I can’t wait to go back for my next tattoo.

I LOVE this piercing shop! I had a piercing done at a different shop, they had placed the piercing very wrong and so I went here to get it fixed and they were amazing. Every worker was super sweet. They walked me through every step, what they were doing, and after cares. After I got my piercing fixed. I swelled a bit more then expected, so I texted them to see if I could get an appointment and possibly a bigger bar. They responded fast and helped me. The lady that pierced me didnt work on the day I had avaliable to come in, but she came in on her day off to help me. I would 100% recommend this place❤️ plus they give you a cute paper going over about your piercing, how to care for it, type of jewelry, and who you were pierced by.

The artist I worked with seems to no longer work here, but I still feel frustrated by my experience over a year later.I spoke with an artist on the phone about a potential micro tattoo and sent inspiration photos. They said they would draw up some ideas. When it was time for my appointment the next day, they basically showed me 1-2 basically clip-art designs pulled directly from pintrest that did not match my description, and were slated to be about 4-6 inches tall & wide. They did not seem open to re-working the designs based on my feedback, or shrink/alter them down to the requested size. When I wanted to make the most out of the $200 minimum (regardless of time spent or art size) by considering other potential micro tattoos, the artist rejected every idea I had, even going so far as to say my ideas/inspiration were not my own personal style. I eventually grew frustrated, and decided to come back another day, as the artist and I didnt seem to be clicking. Later that day I received a call from a receptionist pressuring me to tip the artist for their time spent consulting, even though the consult was mostly the artist telling me they were unwilling to do anything I suggested, despite telling me the day before they were flexible and open to micro tattoos, feedback on designs, took same-day appts and walk-ins, etc. Payment for a consult or flash designs was not listed on the website. Ultimately, I felt guilted by the receptionist into leaving a tip for the artists time, which I did. However, over a year later Im still thinking about the artists attitude and poor communication/people skills, as well as being pressured by the receptionist who I felt was judgmental about my willingness to pay them for their time, without asking for context or how my experience went. Im always willing to pay an artist for their time, but I felt not much work was even done between copping basic designs from pintrest, and then telling me they couldnt or wouldnt do anything else. Overall, it was super awkward, and put a bad taste in my mouth about a studio I had been excited to visit while I was living in the area.

My wife and I went into Moms to start my ear stretch journey and so she could get her nostril done. We decided on Zach Westbrook as a piercer for a variety of reasons and he was worth the minimal wait! Very professional, very knowledgeable, and very skilled at his craft. Zach walked us through every stage of the process and aftercare and was quick once we actually got rolling.Moms itself is a very cool shop. It is definitely a newer age place with brighter lighting, very positive vibes, plenty of local artists works and jewelery for sale, and has a great amount of square footage for tattooing and piercing. It seems more geared towards piercings but there is a hefty amount of space allocated to tattooing as well.10/10 Absolutely will be returning!

I just got a tatto by Justin who is visiting from Vancouver. I saw his work on a co-worker and was so impressed I ended up booking with him for mine. I’m so glad I did! His work is fantastic he was professional and took his time. I totally recommend Justin for any tattoo work

I got my nipples pierced here. Right out of the gate I was greeted with expert answers when I emailed them curious about the piercing. Then scheduling was easy. The day of sign in was quick, staff was knowledgeable and friendly and the piercing was informative, kind and as gentle as a piecing can be. I felt safe, welcomed and taken care of.

Great time! The staff goes over the costs with you before they even take you in back, cleanliness and sanitation was at the forefront of every action. Shandra (my piercer) was amazing, she walked through all the steps, checked in with me constantly, helped me to relax. This was the most pleasant piercing I’ve ever had!

I loved my experience with Bonnie. She captured my idea and turned into something great. We had excellent communication, even though we had to reschedule due to Covid. The shop is clean and comfortable and staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely check them out for your next tattoo or piercing!

Condescending.I made a review saying decent things before but I gave it time and a few experiences and things changed. I got my ears pierced and despite a cleanly environment and it was confirmed that what I said I was doing was correct I was still struggling with infection.I said that the material may not be okay for me. They spoke over me and told they I think after 9 years I know a bit. My right ear ended up horrible and I had to let it close after taking it out.I switched the left to gold and what do you know... it stopped freaking out. I paid many times for follow up appointments and switching sizes of jewelry because I wanted professionals to help me with this hard time. They were snarky and not understanding. Rather they were Condescending, not receptive, and incorrect in the end. The only reason they get 2 stars is due to their nice shop that seems to be clean.I spent a lot of money trying to do the right thing by listening to professionals but unfortunately it went wrong when they didnt listen to me.

Amazing. Went in to get a piercing that was 18 plus and had a frustrating hiccup with my ID. They were so patient and kind while I worked to resolve that. I walked out at the end of the night with a lovely set of piercings that I am incredibly stoked about.Every single person we spoke to was beyond kind and friendly, they create a very comfortable and fun environment. The next time the urge to get pierced strikes, I know where Im going.

My friend and I were so incredibly lucky to be tattooed by Mom herself as walk-ins on a random Friday. Every single staff person was warm, friendly, and welcoming. Every customer who walked in was treated like a close friend. Mom (Beth) did an amazing job on our tattoos and we will definitely be back next time we visit Spokane.

I got my nostril pierced by Shandra and had the smoothest experience from start to finish. The lovely person at the front counter helped me find a great piece of jewelry within my budget.My piercer walked me through everything they were doing and why they were doing it which was both educational and reassuring.Overall a great experience and I can’t wait to go back and get more piercings!

Walk in client for tattoo work in honor of two family members that passed away. . . Two hearts, outlined dark and fading to light in the middle, one blue one purple.Artist- treated me like I was an inconvenience once she heard what I wanted. I should have left then.Store Manager- completely inappropriate, poor word choice, lack of common sense and basic respect.Piercer- The guy was AMAZING, the only person I interacted with that knew how to treat a paying customer. I tipped him more than the tattoo artist.They wont allow me to post pics, but if you view this review through my profile you can see the before and after pics.

Scout did such a fabulous job. Their bedside manner was excellent. They walked me through every step and helped with breathing and grounding exercises. I highly recommend Scout, Ill be coming back to them for future piercings.

Anji has tattooed me multiple times. She has an amazingly soft hand, her line work and color palettes are incredible, her imagination is so unique and I love every line and color she has placed on me. The pictures are a back piece she has been working on.

Just had a new septum jewelry put in after two weeks of pain caused by a horrible peice of jewlery put in by another well known shop. The previous jewlery had gems on it that was rotating into my septum when i slept, washed my face, blew my nose and repeatedly cut my skin whenever I tried rotate the stones out of my septum. Today, Zach and the crew at Moms help restore my belief in reperpabal train peircers when they carefully removed the old jewlery and helped me find something that wouldnt cause damage to my septum. They were kind, and non-judgmental. They just wanted to help me. I will recommend them to all of my clients and friends. Their jewlery is high quality and safe and will not rotate into my septum. Thank you to everyone at Moms for helping me.

Great experience from the moment you walk in the door! All of the staff were so friendly, and I love how light the space was. Some piercing places are too dark to really see the jewelry when picking it out, but this place does not have that problem. Had a piercing removed and put back in for a medical procedure and worked with Zach once and Dae another time. Both were great at letting me know what they were doing. Also loved seeing how important it was to them to keep everything clean. Will be bringing my mom here when she gets her next piercing and for any other piercings needs in the future!

I had a great experience at Mom’s. First of all: they are COVID safe! Believe it or not, that’s still a thing that exists and the fact that they are taking so many precautions is not only good for myself, but also the artists!Secondly, Anji was my artist and THEY DID AMAZING! She took my idea and ran with it, and I’m so happy with it. When I get a tat, there’s always a story behind it, and this tattoo meant so much to me so it had to be great. They completely exceeded my expectations, despite how painful it was! (I’m a baby 😂) mine involves actual music so she had to be careful with the detail and she got it spot on!!! I HIGHLY recommend her and Moms for your tattoos!! I PROMISE it is worth the price!!! THANK YOU ANJI💜💜💜

Dae was my piercer and he was more than amazing and super up to date on ALL that is body modifications and piercings. Not only was the staff all friendly and accommodating but the shop itself was extremely clean and covid-conscious but not over the top to the point where they forgot their humanity and customer service skills. Overall, the shop was beautiful and the jewelry selection was *INSANE*. I literally couldnt focus on what I was talking about bc the jewelry was so beautiful it would constantly distract me. The thing I loved most about this shop was the fact that I had tangible proof showing me that the items being used on me were all 100% sterile.. that is VERY important to me and I will always pay the premium prices for premium quality and for what I paid at Moms, I would say I got more than what I ended up paying for, just considering the peace of mind I got from Dae informing me that he guarantees all of his piercings. Literally said he would pierce me until I am happy.. you just cannot compete with that. When it comes to tattoos, I have zero opinion or information for a review but piercing wise, this shop is my new go-to considering I just moved from Florida and had very low expectations for spokanes body modification scene. I love being proven wrong! Thanks again Mr Dae!

I came in from out of town as I was on vacation for the week. It also happened to be the week the wildfires were going on. Well they were about to close the shop cause a lot of the appointments were being canceled. Well I arrived right on time and talked to Zach. I wanted to change my piercing well when he looked at it he told me that it should have just came out and that where I got it done it wasn’t done correctly. After talking with him for a good 15 min about my piercing and other jewelry for when I decide to get it re done he told me of a shop near me to go that would have the same kind of jewelry they have and if I they didn’t have it he said they could probably order it. My ears are sensitive so having someone take the time to explain to me the differences and all the questions I had was amazing! My children were a little less than thrilled to be there but they were amazing about it as well. If I do happen to come back to that side of the mountain I will definitely be coming back.

Love this place! The atmosphere is awesome. They are open and accepting of all people, and welcome you with open arms. Ive never had a bad experience here.Zach has been awesome with helping me with my nose piercing that I got in CA, getting it switched out and all healed up.Plus, Moms the only one I believe in Spokane that actually has the national certification of medical piercers for completely training and standards for safety and such.And Felix (Fe(lix)? Did I do that right?) Was one of the best people ever just chatting and helping me out in the main store.Could not recommend this place more!

Got a jewelry change from dae and got my curved bridge bar stretched up and changed to a straight bar. dae was super wonderful and friendly and made me feel very comfortable which is nice cuz i get anxious. my bridge is already looking and feeling a lot better thank u so much dae!editing my review from my experience with moms last year:i went to the shop to get my bridge changed to a shorter bar. i explained the exact jewelry i wanted in the description provided to do so. so of course it was annoying when i went to my appointment and paid for jewelry that wasnt the jewelry i intended to pay for, and would have to further pay thru them for the jewelry, or make another appointment to change my jewelry when the jewelry got to them....so weird. whats the point of asking about jewelry on the appointment page if youre going to disregard it? i posted a rant about this on my own personal instagram story, because it was irritating, and rightfully so. hours after, and moms employee was in my dms fully attacking me. insane behavior to do as someone representing a business. i would never ever think to do that if someone had a complaint in my line of work. and on a further note, my bridge rejected a few months after my appointment. that is absolutely not their fault, what is their fault though, is that any knowledgeable piercer would have seen in my jewelry change appointment that it already was rejecting. i couldnt even tell in the moment but looking back on photos of it before and after my jewelry being changed, it was very obviously rejecting. it would have been nice to have some honesty and let me know it was rejecting, and save me a lot of trouble and pain. needless to say, i will not be returning and i will continue to take my business to relic moon in CDA. they are very kind, knowledgeable, and up front about their work.

I was lucky enough to have Traci as my tattoo artist. From start to finish it was a fantastic experience. Traci worked with me and created a design that was exactly what I wanted. That tattoo experience was great as well. She made sure I was in a comfortable spot, and she was just so much fun during the process. Cant recommend Moms enough!

This little shop is the BEST. Let me preface by saying I am no stranger to getting pierced or the piercing process. I have been pierced by Scout twice now (with the rest of my piercings having been done elsewhere). Both times with them have been EXCEPTIONAL. They are the absolute nicest human - the type you would want to pour your heart out to. I was completely comfortable throughout the entire process. They were a delight when answering all of my questions and never seemed annoyed when I took my time picking jewelry or asked about different styles. Never have I been shown better care than I was shown here. I called my mom when I left the shop to tell her how awesome of an experience I had. I cannot recommend Scout highly enough!Since my initial review, I have been pierced by Zach and left with the same warm-fuzzy feeling I had the first time. I was given well informed advice and received the best care and complete kindness.I’ve been tattooed by Beth, Anji, and Susan as well! I mean it with my whole heart when I say my experiences here have been nothing short of exceptional EACH and EVERY time.Even the Counter Intelligence Staff are delightful! I chose Anji as my sole artist to complete my sleeve. She is an incredible artist & has exceeded my expectations.

I got a tattoo from Ris about a month ago and was super happy with my results. However, within the first couple days I noticed that some ink had bled but just thought that it was ink that had stained my skin. A month later now, it is still there and I learned that it was actually a blowout. A little upset about it, but overall I still love the tattoo.

AMAZING! Shandra was so patient and helpful through the process. I got pierced and would 100% recommend them again. The prices, cleanliness and care for anyone who walks through that door is hard to find. Will be back for more! Thanks again!

In the past, I went to a local, well-known place for my piercings. Every one of them got infected and took a very long time to heal. Then, one day, I found out about Moms and booked a nostril piercing. The entire experience was easy. The associate at the front was friendly and super helpful. Zach, the piercer, was absolutely amazing. He explained the entire process and really took the time to ensure Id be happy with the placement. He made the piercing a smooth process, and it didnt take long at all. My piercing healed quickly, too. He did a great job on my follow-up. He was so fantastic that when my son asked for a few piercings, I knew exactly where Id take him. Zach was so awesome with my son and made his first experience a good one.

I wanted to be impressed with my experience here, but as time has passed my piercing has not been doing well and I think it could have been avoided. I received a navel piercing in April 2022, which I was told would be challenging for my anatomy but doable. Over time I noticed that the large gems on my jewelry were too large for how small my belly button is, so I went in for a consult and the piercer agreed that it’s probably been the reason it was healing so poorly. I ended up having to buy new gems that were smaller, which I felt like I should have been pierced with in the first place. As more time has passed it still wiggles a lot, and I’ve learned it’s good to have shorter bars in your navel piercing depending on your anatomy. All in all, I wish i had been originally pierced with a smaller piece of jewelry as I trusted their piercers judgement and wanted to go to them for their professionalism. I feel that if I went in again I would have to pay for the jewelry once again, which is not cheap but would probably fix my healing issues as it still gives me trouble to this day. I just wish i had been advised correctly to begin with so I hadn’t spent so much money on a piercing that would give me trouble for so long. I don’t see myself returning for another piercing here.

Had a very special memorial tattoo done by Susan Crofts today, it was a great experience from first contact all the way through the end. Very communicative, friendly, helpful, informative and easy to work with for a first tattoo. Youd think it would be expensive for their level of service and immaculately clean studio but theyre very reasonable. I have tattoos from other places but will be going here from now on. Amazing staff great experience. 👍🏻

Got my first facial piercing here and what can I say? I had a fantastic experience here! The atmosphere was extremely welcoming, my piercer (Zach) was very kind, professional, sanitary and experienced and they had a large variety of jewelry for great prices! Will be coming back for a bar downsizing and future piercings!

I went in on Mother’s Day for a walk-in septum piercing with Shandra. She was ultra professional, courteous, and friendly from the start. Shandra kept me informed throughout the process and welcomed all questions/feedback. She did an awesome job on the piercing itself and with aftercare instructions. 100/10 wholeheartedly recommend!!

First off let me just say how incredibly friendly the staff is. I was hoping to get a same day double helix and ended up scheduling for later in the week, Dylan called later that day though and they were able to get me in! I went in and everyone was polite, friendly and clean. They took great pains to explain to me exactly how the appointment would go and my piercer, Dae, did a wonderful job showing me how things were sterilized and exactly how the process would work. My one “downside “ is probably the pricing, I knew how much the piercings would be as it stated online BUT I was a bit surprised by all the separate charges for the jewelry (this could just be that I haven’t had a piercing in many years tho and could be the new standard, I wish it was a bit more clearly stated online what an approximation of the jewelry charges would be so I could better prepare). Overall I 100% recommend this place for piercings and love their work and attitude, and it was absolutely worth every Penny! Thank you!

I got my nipples pierced by Dae, the whole experience was wonderful from the moment I walked through the door. The kind person at the front desk gave me little candies to calm my nerves. The whole pierci g experience was also very pleasant!!! Dae was very informative and comforting, they gave me all the information about taking care of the piercings before they even pierced me. This was by far the best piercing place Ive ever been, and will be coming back for any future piercings!! ( also it was so clean in there too, you can watch the jewelry and needles go into the autoclave)

Clean, inviting and great to work with. I’ve only worked with two artists, Anji and Beth( both have different styles). Give them an idea and they do a great job enhancing on it. I really appreciate that.. It’s a great place. You won’t go wrong choosing Moms for your tattoo work

Beth at Moms is out standing. She has done mine and my wifes arm tattoos. She is great to work with and in collaboration has come up with beautiful art for both my wife and me. The shop has such a great vibe that you have to experience. Cannot wait for our next art to be developed!!!!!

I dont usually write reviews, but my experience here was extraordinarily good. My piercer was Dae Jedic, He was extremely professional and made me feel at ease. I had a very sensitive part of my body pierced, and Dae made it feel like teamwork. I felt like he was taking care of me and helping me the whole way. Because of his techniques, experience and bedside manner the pain was minimal and the experience was fun. The facilities were extremely clean, organized and welcoming. I got body positive and inclusive vibes which really helped me relax! Highly highly recommended! ☆☆☆☆☆

Moms has knowledgeable and friendly personnel. I had an appointment to design a tattoo in honor of my husband who recently passed away and Susan did a design that was exactly what I wanted and it was beautiful and she was very kind to understand how important he was to me. I have no hesitation in recommending this locally owned establishment.

Ive never written a review for anything before, but my fantastic experience at Moms deserved one. I went to Moms to get a double helix piercing and a nostril piercing. Ive gotten piercings before, but only on my earlobes, so wasnt sure what to expect from cartilage piercings. My piercer, Zach, was so kind, helpful, and informative. After getting my piercings done, I felt fine for awhile and then started to get tunnel vision and feel nauseous (which I guess is not unusual when getting multiple piercings done). All of the staff at Moms were so kind and caring, they brought me snacks and water, and made sure I was okay before I tried to walk again, and even walked me out to my car. The whole time, they were so nice and so professional. The whole studio was incredibly clean and sanitary, and they even checked for veins in my cartilage before piercing me. The whole service was very expensive, but if youre interested in getting any piercings done, it is beyond worth it!!! If I had been able to afford it, I would have left a tip worth more than my bill.

Sold me the incorrect top for my tragus piercing after I asked what type I would need for the bar that I had and wouldn’t allow return/ refund.Edit: I like how they admit they knowingly sold me the incorrect piece of jewelry in their response to me.

Got septum done by Zach, who talked me through the process and compensated well for my deviated septum. Relatively painless, less than i thought it would be :) and the time was taken to find my sweet spot.Was convinced to go here instead of where i originally was going to get it done, and Im glad i did!

The experience I had was okay. I went in wanting to purchase jewelry for my nose piercing since I had lost my favorite one. I was told I couldn’t purchase jewelry until I had a someone measure my gauge for me to ensure I got the right size. (I knew my original piercing was a 20G.) However, at the appointment, there was no measuring. I mentioned I didn’t want to widen my gauge, but, as they were about to put the post in, said that 18G is standard. Not a lot of dialogue and my gauge was widened without feeling like I had a choice in the matter. I feel like the person providing me info at the beginning should have told me their smallest gauge is 18G. Everyone was nice enough, although it didn’t feel that authentic - it felt like they were just going through the motions, and there were discrepancies between what the front desk gal told me when making my appointment versus how the appointment actually went. Recommendation is to make sure to ask a lot of questions up front prior to paying the non-refundable deposit and confirm the process with the person actually attending you. I will say, the place was very sterile and the jewelry does seem to be high quality.

I’ve been getting tattooed by Anji forever and will be client of hers for eternity. She’s so very very kind, so funny, so knowledgeable. Her art is fascinating. Her tattoos are some of my favorites and definitely the most meaningful. I intentionally get my most meaningful tattoos from her because I know she’ll handle them with compassion and understanding. She is also very cool and gives great horror movie and documentary recommendations. 100/10 would recommend.

I was really nervous to get my industrial bar having heard it can be pretty painful. But I was happily surprised that it did not hurt to get at all. I give full credit to the skilled piercer, Dae, who was so kind and patient with all my questions and concerns. I genuinely was so excited at the fact the piercings were pain free that I couldnt stop saying how surprised I was. I have only had my industrial and second lobe piercing for a week but even now I have no pain with it unless I accidentally bump it too hard. Overall, great experience, super clean, and very friendly staff! Highly recommend!

Amazing, best experience I’ve had at a tattoo shop. I had a tattoo idea with a lot of sentimental meaning attached and Wrenn did an extraordinary job bringing my thoughts to life. From the beginning I could tell they cared a lot about making everything how I envisioned it and I felt listened to throughout the process. The shop was very clean and bright and feels full of personal touches. Love that they’re still keeping up COVID precautions, that’s a lot of time to be spent really close to someone else and it makes sense to be wearing a mask. I can’t wait to come back for more art or jewelry!

Awesome place! I got my philtrum pierced by Zach, and he did an amazing job. He made sure it was placed exactly where I wanted it, and did it as quickly and painlessly as possible. 10/10 would recommend.

A little over three weeks ago, I came in to get my septum pierced with Zach. He did an amazing job, walked me through the whole process, and was just all around great at what he does! Super nice too. Definitely a little more pricey going to Moms, but honestly I think its worth it. And the cashier was super nice as well, I think their name was Dylan. Im so sorry for forgetting their name! Super clean shop, everyone we interacted with was great. Only thing I wish for is for them to get hoodies that arent zip up! I would have snatched one up in an instant, haha.

Booked a tattoo appointment with Natalie Doud online, it was super quick and easy and the check in process was a breeze too. Natalie was amazing and quick, and my ink looks 🔥 healed! I wasnt sure what to expect for my first tattoo but I will absolutely be going back for more!!

Shandra did my piercing. Im seriously impressed. The shop was clean and busy. They took the time to explain to everyone about care and what they were doing. I know some people were upset they were running behind but I dont mind. I think its worth paying more and waiting for nicer/higher quality things. My jewelry is titanium which I also found impressive, even if it was more pricey. Ive had problems in the past with piercings and jewelry. So far, so good and I recommend them to anyone. I plan to go get my tattoo there in the near future.

Great jewelry and lovely staff. They are much more sanitary than any other place ive been as far as handling the jewelry goes. They are very helpful when either getting pierced or just buying jewelry. They keep a record of your information so that when you come back they can help and guide you personally the best that they can. The tattoo artists do lovely work and are fun people to be around. They take the time to make sure the tattoo is done exactly as you want it. Walking into Moms tattoo and interacting with the staff is in itself an experience I would surely recommend to anyone.

Definitely one of the best places in town to go and get a piercing. Super hygienic and masks are still required (which is super nice if you want a piercing but have an autoimmune issue and cant get the COVID vaccine). I have gotten piercings from both Zach and Dae, and I hope to get one from Shawndra soon!Zach and Dae are both consummate professionals who take their jobs seriously while also maintaining a calm, friendly demeanor. They do everything they can to make you feel at ease and comfortable while you are getting a piercing. I also appreciated their commitment to hygiene. Zach and Dae changed their gloves and washed their hands every time they touched a surface! I knew I would never have to deal with an infection or anything, because they kept everything so clean!I have yet to get a tattoo from one of their artists yet, but if their tattoo artists are as professional and excellent as their piercing staff, then I will definitely be heading back in for a tattoo!

It had been about 10 years since I had gotten any new ear piercings and I was super excited to get a little ear party going again. My first visit I went in to treat myself for my bday and got a conch, faux rook, and replaced jewelry for 2 and 3rd lobes. I worked with Dae and he did an amazing job! Made me feel comfortable through the entire process and was very thorough. The studio is beautiful and everyone is so friendly. I went back recently to downsize and I wanted an additional lobe piercing. I worked with Shandra this time and she was also so amazing! She played around with options for my new piercing and helped me visualize and make a decision. The downsize was painless and again she and everyone there were so very kind and in a very clean and beautiful studio. I’ll never be going anywhere else but Moms!

Beautiful shop, excellent piercing experience.Shandra really knows what shes doing. She replaced my double lobe piercing over a previous failed attempt and the placement is perfect. She was absolutely precise and quick, yet still gentle (which can be a tough skill to find), just letting the needle do its job. Zero hassle, zero pain, and I cant emphasize enough how sanitary and sterile process oriented the whole shop is. I have worked in hospital surgical suites that have less adherence to overall cleanliness than Shandra and this shop maintain. I noted the best quality in modern sterilization equipment and their jewelry is beautiful and unique...I will definitely be back when Im ready for the next piercing.

This was my first time getting a piercing since I got my ears pierced about 4 years ago. I didn’t have a place in Spokane that I truly was dedicated too and I found Mom’s and specificity Dae on social media because I was looking to get my Naval pierced. My experience getting the piercing was amazing Dae was super informative especially about body piercings and letting me know that my naval would actually be better if we did it on the lower skin instead of how it’s usually done and I love it it’s so unique! I was super worried about getting my naval done because many people have issues with it healing and some get infections etc. Dae made me feel so comfortable and told me everything to do and I’ve never had an issue since I got it in February. The whole building was very welcoming and friendly everyone in there felt like they wanted to be there and it was a fun and easy experience! Will absolutely be going back to Mom’s for my next piercing adventure! 💕

This shop is the best piercing parlor I have ever visited. Theyre a little more spendy than some but thats because they serve QUALITY. Ive had multiple piercings done here and every time the experience has been incredible. My last appointment I was with Dae, highly recommended. They made me feel so comfortable and relaxed during the whole process. If I have it my way Ill never go anywhere else for piercings, and will definitely be requesting Dae in the future.Also, I was getting my nips pierced. This is a piercing I had already had done but for various reasons allowed them to heal. My second go around was significantly less painful and I can only imagine that was due to the piercers skill and quality of the jewelry. I cannot recommend Dae enough. And as anyone can imagine, getting your nipples done can feel incredibly awkward but Dae made me feel so comfortable and relaxed that it didnt feel even a little weird. What a great experience.

You get a life time warranty with their jewelry. On top of all that everyone is super professional but also friendly. I had been looking for a place to get a daith piercing and I found Moms Custom Tattoo & Body Piercing online. I seen that they had excellent reviews so I went to their website which is very educational and informative regarding piercing. I really liked that. So I emailed to see if I could set up an appointment that day and they called me within the hour to schedule an appointment for that same day. Its a very nice clean place and everyone there was very professional and knowledgeable and were very nice. Nathan who did my piercing was excellent and talked me through the whole process which made me not so nervous and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole thing. I would recommend getting a piercing there to anyone. They make sure everything is sterilized and done professionally and properly.

My piercer was named Dae and he was amazing he guided me through the whole process. I was incredibly nervous and scared and he made sure I was calm and answered all my crazy questions. I have 9 total piercings and have come here only for 2 of them out of the nine and I have never had a bad experience they have always made sure that I was happy with what I had purchased and made sure everything was done perfectly thank you so much Dae and everyone else for actually caring more about the customer and not just shoving needles through people because you want your money.

I felt good taking my sweet, 80 year old grandma there for her first tattoo and Ive been back a few times for more ink from Bonnie (who is awesome, by the way) or to have a piercing swapped out. I got a shoulder Lord of the Rings ritual tattoo with Natalie. The art was everything that I hoped for at a reasonable if not great rate, and the ritual experience certainly measured up to the extra $30/hour. The ritual Natalie and I developed around my tattoo involved a Tarot draw, prepared intentions spoken over burning sage and snuffing it out with water, a Kundalini/Chakra meditation, and a playlist seeded from a handful of songs I sent to Natalie in advance, out of a variety of ritual options that could be catered to ones personal religion/spirituality. I felt the order in which we performed these ritualistic aspects and their quality helped draw both of us into the experience/a deeper than usual customer/artist connection, even amid having to listen to the playlist on headphones and plenty of potential distractions from the studio atmosphere.As for the art, Natalie took the time to verify/check the translation I provided with others familiar with Tolkiens written and spoken elven languages before designing the tattoo and was fairly flexible before and during the session with adding to the design/shading to make it look as good as possible. (The waves are more dramatic than in the original design and the water flowing out of the circle was added during the session. We also darkened the tree and stars iconography on the sail significantly from the initial shading and added some white to make the wave crests pop.) All in all, I would highly recommend Natalie as an artist to anyone wanting to get a tattoo with a deeper significance in their personal life or has a design in mind which requires fine detail/delicate shading.

I went to this shop to get some piercings removed. Dae was amazing!!! But so were all the other employees. The customer service was great, And I really enjoyed that they are very sanitary and follow Covid guidelines. Dae assured me that I had options with my piercings, but I had them removed anyways. Anji was referred to me when I needed a huge cover up of a naked cowgirl on my calf. She did amazing! She covered it with two beautiful roses and I always get compliments on them. I got my nose pierced here. It was comparable to safari prices but way more professional, clean and inviting. Plus local always beats out a franchise in my book. My piercer was friendly, kind and efficient. I’ve had no problems with infections and no crusty grossness or pain (except when I pull my glasses down instead of out which is 20 years of habit lol). Highly recommend for piercing. I also want to add that place itself is amazing, though cozy, I thoroughly enjoyed looking at the beautiful design of the interior.

Got my first tattoo here with Beth, years ago. Incredible quality, sterile facility, great work. I get compliments all the time, healing process was a breeze, 6 years later and it still looks as pristine as day 1. The only store I will buy body jewelry from in town. Ive gotten my daughters ears pierced here, my ears pierced and my nose pierced. Everyone is very nice, the shop is super cool & very clean. Every precaution is taken to keep the piercings sterile.I unfortunately chose nose jewelry that adhered to my healing wound, but Shandra was amazing in helping me to change to a better fit of jewelry and cleaning the area. Now it is on the mend and looks amazing!I cannot recommend this places enough!Shandra also my did my daughters ears and in between ears when my daughter was having some anxiety, she calmed her down and helped her relax enough to finish the 2nd ear.5 stars all the way!

I love this place! They have a wonderful selection of jewelry and Chandra is just so sweet!I also recently got a tattoo by Wrenn and they were incredibly nice, and awesome about communicating. I feel like I can truly text Wrenn with any questions and they are super responsive. And the design they did just came out beautifully!My only gripe with this place is that the walk-in times can take forever. If youre planning on getting a walk in piercing or something, plan on possibly being there for an hour or more. I know that its because they take the time to follow proper procedures, but the wait can be ridiculous for a simple jewelry change. Other than that, this place is amazing!

Comfortable and clean space. I got both a piercing and my first tattoo done there and both were amazing experiences. Bonnie was the artist who made my custom tattoo and listened to exactly what I wanted and was willing to adjust it until It was perfect for me. She was so easy to work with and made me feel so at ease when the tattoo was actually being done.

I can’t say enough good things about Mom’s! I have had several piercings from numerous piercers and a tattoo with Wrenn. On top of being an incredibly clean and safe piercing and tattoo studio, the staff create a welcome and inclusive environment. I am never afraid to ask questions or change my mind about tattoo or piercing placement or jewelry. Yesterday, Dae worked with me on an ear curation appointment and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I really appreciate the way Dae (and the other piercers) walk you through exactly what they are doing and what to expect. As an SA survivor it can cause a lot of anxiety to have a stranger up in your face in an isolated room while getting a piercing, but I feel nothing but safe here. I truly can’t recommend Mom’s enough!

I had the best experience piercing my ears here. Nathan had the best customer service, he went out of his way throughout the whole time, he made sure my piercings matched each other, made the whole piercing experience as painless as possible, even rubbed my ears with hot towels to relieve the pain after. I loved everything. Will definitely come again for jewelry and if I ever decide to go further with piercing my ears.

My husband and I wanted to get our tattoos done here but then when we came to the store front and noticed their proabortion sign disregarding the lives and rights of our most vulnerable American citizens who die only because they cant speak for themselves who did nothing worthy of a death sentence. I am so sad because I Really thought Moms would love the lives of babes.

When I first got my piercing piercing a few months ago, I was happy with it and felt my piercer did a good job- the shop was very clean and sterile, and my nose piercing was as quick and as painless as it could have been. However, as I asked around and did research, I learned that I had been overcharged by a lot! I paid $110 for my nose stud, and many other people I asked paid under $50 for the same exact piercing. My friend that got her double lobes pierced at the same time as me was charged $140, when it was much much cheaper at other places. They also recommended that the both of us come in and get our piercings “tightened” - get the stems of the piercing shortened. My piercing was not healed enough to do so, but they charged my friend $30 just to shorten the back of the earring by about a millimeter. In addition, no one else I talked to had heard of this process.I then received a nose hoop as a Christmas gift, and attempted to change my stud to a hoop. The hoop ended up not fitting (my error in requesting the wrong size), so I tried to put my stud back in. However, the stud was impossible to get back in, because the original stud was so tiny I couldn’t possibly have done it myself. I made an emergency run to a piercer nearby, who said that the ring originally put in was made for a mouth or ear piercing- NOT a nose one. He also told me piercings like that one are intentionally impossible to change at home, and it was done that way on purpose to essentially force me to go back in and get it changed for a much higher cost. He also told me that my piercing will not fit any size of hoop- after I specifically told my piercer I wanted a hoop asap.Overall, I would say if you have the money, this business is sterile and nice, but you will be overcharged, and it might be hard (if not impossible) to change the piercing at home, so be prepared for a lot of charges.

Hands down best piercing experience I have ever had. I have a terrible phobia of needles, even seeing one makes me light headed. Trying to get over the fear by getting pierced. Shandra was so calming, and soothing the I didnt feel faint at all through the whole process. The customer service from all the staff I spoke to was amazing. I was tattooed by Bonnie, I was referred to her through a friend. I wanted two pieces from her portfolio and she was able to combine them into one piece for me. We went over the color selection on her tablet in advance which was super helpful and really nice to see a work up of the piece in full color before it being tattooed. She was helpful with the color suggestions/selection as well. To be honest I have a lot of tattoos but I have horrible social anxiety so I get really stressed/anxious in new places and around people I don’t know, until I settle in; Bonnie has a very calm, kind and friendly personality which is so nice. As for the tattoo, it’s beautiful and I couldn’t be happier. The linework is sharp and the color she packed in is just gorgeous. I would absolutely go back and highly recommend her. The shop is also a very clean, safe space and the other staff there is very kind/helpful as well.

I just moved to the area and wanted to celebrate with some new piercings. I scheduled an appointment via the website with Dae and the whole experience was amazing. From start to finish the entire staff was welcoming, respectful, and encouraging. Dae walked me through the jewelry options, helped me decide on placement, then talked me through the entire piercing process. I have four new piercings and I am in love with the results. I highly recommend going here.

I got pierced by Shandra a couple weeks ago and, to be quite honest, was terrified because of the painful nature of my specific piercings. Shandra was incredibly supportive and made the whole process a breeze! Also, everything was clean and sterile. I was kept informed on every part of the process and sent home with plenty of information to properly heal my piercings. I felt very held in the space and am SO SO pleased with my piercings! 1000% recommend!

Excellent customer service!! The piercer stayed late just for my group. Did a really nice job explaining everything. Expert piercer. I can not say enough about how CLEAN this shop is. It is spotless, every sterile protocol was used. My piercing is doing great and it is exactly what I wanted.

I had such a great experience getting pierced (and getting a few pieces downsized) by Dae. My piercings were weirdly painless and Dae is such a wonderful, warm, and friendly person! I felt extremely comfortable with them from the get-go and I appreciated how they walked me through the process -- before and during the process. I also appreciated being able to watch my pieces get anodized, it was so cool to watch!

Bonnie was my tattoo artist, she did a phenomenal job! I gave her a sketch and color scheme, but her finished work was so much better than I ever hoped it would be. She made it original and beautiful and it’s the tattoo I’m most proud of. I highly recommend going to Mom’s. It’s my favorite tattoo place and it’s definitely where I’m going back to!

Anj’s work is phenomenal. I’ve been able to obtain a coloring book and multiple odds and ends from her, and I’ve never been disappointed. Not only is she talented, but she’s also extremely inclusive and is definitely a safe space for everyone.

This place was amazing and so worth the wait. I went and got my nose pierced by Zach. He was friendly, knowledgeable and very sanitary. They do require masks and covid vaccines so if that is a problem for you, you will need to find another studio.

10/10 recommend this place! I had a healed tragus piercing that I had another place put a new earring in. Since then, I had constant pain and swelling. I found Mom’s after googling reputable piercing boutiques. This will for sure be my new place. Their COVID precautions were amazing. The shop is immaculately clean, and the staff professional. They are certified, and have autoclaves in the rooms. As I was just getting an earring replaced, I can’t speak for the piercing itself. But she autoclaved the jewel and post with me in the room. I was impressed from start to finish. Will be back!

I showed up looking for ideas. They happened to have an opening so I left with a custom, beautiful industrial by Frankie. The store is very clean and all of the staff were exceptional and caring. I would recommend to anybody, especially if you are more of a novice to piercing as they do a good job making you feel comfortable.

I ended up going here for a nipple piercing (not my first, Ive have many body piercings). I was pierced by Dae. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THAT LOVELY SOUL!!!!!!!!! Very professional, very very very very very knowledgeable, explained everything step by step and any questions I had.He was sssssssooooooo quick during the actual piercing procedure. He had the needle poked through before my deep breath was fully expelled. There wasnt any pain until it came to putting in the jewelry.Very clean shop, very organized, very welcoming, I cannot recommend enough

Frankie was able to change it out for me at a very reasonable price and give me options for later jewelry choices. Ive always felt like family here. Ive spent hours (literally) with Tracy for my custom designed tattoo, and had multiple exchanges with both Shandra and Nathan for piercings and/or new jewelry. Theyre always fun and chatty--so much so that I keep coming up with excuses to visit. Ive referred them to multiple friends and not once have I heard of a negative experience. I absolutely love this place. Wrenn did my first tattoo on my 18th birthday, and I have gotten 2 more from them since. I already have my 4th tattoo scheduled with Wrenn because their work is just so amazing! I refuse to get work done anywhere else or by anyone else. They have the best bed-side manner and they make the tattoo experience very enjoyable. I also recently had a jewelry installation appointment with Shandra and she was a joy to talk to. I appreciate the cleanliness of this establishment and that they take COVID-19 seriously.

Everyone in Moms is delightful whether the simple exchange of smiles or some small talk or some big talk! I always feel so welcome to be in the shop. Bonnie happily took on the task of finishing a long-incomplete project on my torso started by another artist: that was the first experience together and it made me want to continue with her for a long time to come. She has a ninja touch, clean lines, great color saturation, experience and practicality of application and is capable of incredible original artwork.

EDIT: Edited to add that I got a tattoo from this studio by Wrenn Grey. Wrenn tattooed a memorial piece of my kitty and I tear up every time I look at it. It was exactly what I wanted and Wrenn was stellar from the beginning consultation to the end in the studio. And now, I have a beautiful piece of art with me forever that connects me and my beloved kitty across lifetimes. Thank you, Wrenn! I have since moved away from Spokane and I definitely miss Moms. Moms is one of the best things about that city.Very clean and professional studio. I enjoyed every moment I was there! The jewelry displayed and for sale is beautiful, and I definitely recommend looking at the collection (perhaps online for now, for the duration of the pandemic!) and getting advice for a curated collection.I went here and treated myself to four new piercings. My piercer was Dae, and from the first moment he was very kind and thorough. The process itself was rather quick, and every single piece of jewelry was sterilized. Dae also knew exactly what to do and exactly what I wanted! Thank you Dae!!Also, I have looked at their tattoo artists portfolios and all the work is phenomenal. 5 out of 5 stars all around!

I had my ears pierced about 10 years ago but thought they had closed up. Sandra took the time to find out the holes I already have were still open! With Covid going on she also did a great job of explaining the processes and steps to keep us both safe. I was really really nervous but she made the entire process really easy and as comfortable as possible! 10/10!

Okay, so I was super disappointed in the fact that I could not get the daith piercing that I went in for, when I consulted with Dae the professional recommendation I got was that it would not heal properly and that the anatomy of my ear was not suited for a daith. While that was disappointing it really stood out to me because he used his skills and his knowledge to provide the best customer service possible. Including we can refund your deposit for you instead of mandating it would go towards a different piercing that day and rushing a decision. I did decide to go with a double rook piercing and let me tell you! Such a wonderful experience, however I do not recommend doing both ears at once, it was more than I could have imagined. Dae is knowledgeable and open about his skills, additionally his wall is COVERED in the proof of his passion for what it is he does. He works very hard to further his education and puts his time and money into being the best he can at his trade. The office and work space was clean and well kept, there was a high regard the entire time for cleanliness and sterility all of which was reassuring and comforting as a client.Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend this shop and Dae in particular for your piercings.

This place was extremely professional and great. I got an amazing tattoo from Anji that took up my whole forearm and only took two hours. Price is super reasonable and the experience is fantastic. Everyone is extremely polite and their policies on tattoo care and paperwork for beforehand are fantastic.

Our piercer was Nathan and he did an excellent job piercing our ears, helping us pick jewelry and keeping us from freaking out too much. Our experience was extremely positive and you know you are well taken care of here. Glad we didnt go to the mall haha. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting piercings

Zach did my daith piercing today. I appreciated how clearly he explained the whole procedure. I love the way my piercing looks and how professional and personable Zach was. I will definitely come back and see Zach for any future piercings.

First off, they are still requiring you to wear a mask upon entry. Who still does that? Secondly, their jewelry was EXTREMELY overpriced. My teenage daughter went in there looking for jewelry while we were in town and spent nearly $100 bucks on literally nothing. She doesnt even wear what she purchased. I do not recommend these people for jewelry, at all. Theyre literally the Joe Biden fanclub headquarters of Spokane. They probably have a mural of Dr. Fauci in the back somewhere. Dont waste your time here.

Their down town shop is super cool. very eclectic and comfortable. it feels clean and safe. the artists (specifically Traci Manly) is sweet and comfortable and confident. she makes your first ink a breeze. all the artists do varied and amazing work.

I got my nose pierced here a few years ago and the piercing is not straight. I’ve been needing jewelry changed (since I can’t do it myself with this crooked piercing) but due to covid have been waiting. I’ve also been wanting some additional piercings, but based on their non-refundable deposits and no guarantee of actually leaving with the desired piercings, I’m reluctant to schedule an appointment. Also, a $10 charge for PPE (per appointment) is absurd. Considering their prior sterile precautions (and working in healthcare myself) I know additional PPE does not cost this much. They’re also out of place for requiring vax and boosters.

If my child ever expresses interest in getting a tattoo or piercing, Im sending them to Moms.

Got my first tattoo this week. Traci is fabulous! We spoke for a few minutes from out of state, then a couple emails and she made me an amazing piece. Im totally pleased with this beautiful shop and the artists. Highly recommend!

October 2021, I made an appointment to get nipple peircings done. I called ahead to make sure they were able, made my appointment for this specific peircing with a piercer that was supposedly qualified for this. When I went in they said they were not qualified nor was anyone there. They refused to give back my deposit. I am now out $70, with no peircing or hope to get one there. Do Not Recommend, very undeveloped website, and very unorganized staff.

Beautiful and clean facility. Jewelry is reasonably priced for the quality. Piercer is knowledgeable in what she does but seemed a bit standoff-ish. I made an appt for a Thursday over a week in advance, arrived 15 mins early to my appt and wasnt seen until almost an hour after my set appt.

Ive always wanted to get piercings done here because I dont think silver safari has the most experienced pirecers, but I went on the website and it said I had to be vaccinated to get a vertical labret? I dont see how thats acceptable, I cant get the vaccine because of health and allergy issues. Its a little far fetched for me. Makes me sad, plus I thought its illegal to have to provide vaccine proof unless traveling??

Dae did my piercings! Everyone was very professional, kind, and clean! Even getting a piercing curing COVID-19, I could not feel any safer. Very quick and relatively painless. You can tell dae was very skilled and qualified. Everything was explained to me in such a way that I didnt feel pressured or rushed.

I walked into the shop no appointment. I sadly got my tongue pierced at another shop (big mistake)My balls were sinking into my tongue and I could not stick out my tongue. I thought due fo swelling maybe I needed a longer bar, the shop I had it pierced at wasnt open.When I came in I was greeted and explained the problems I was having.They were able to have a piercer Frankie take a look. I had a feeling the location of my piercing was off as the bottom ball was forward and top ball was far back (I didnt mention this) immediately upon inspecting my tongue Frankie advised me that the piercing was extremely slanted and this was pulling the balls into my tongue, he advised me that it would not heal, he also stated it looked as though the webbing under my tongue was pierced. He recommended that the piercing be taken out and I let it close and heal.I agreed and he removed the piercing. He was very professional and told me if I wanted it pierced the correct way to wait at least a month for it to heal and come back.I cannot say how grateful I am!Also the vibe there is so amazing, everyone was nice the music was good and they have the coolest jewelry I have ever seen. If I decide to get it pierced this is where I will go!

Please bear in mind that Im writing this as a tattoo virgin - or I was, til Mom broke me in.So to speak.I knew of one of the tattooists here from another industry, many years ago - someone I always got on with, liked very much, and figured I could trust to do a great job. Id seen many samples of her work on the website/Facebook page, so I reached out by email and we started dialogue. I had what I thought was a very simple design request, my dogs collar design, to go around my calf at actual circumference. I sent a photo, and asked if it would be possible to mix a little bit of my dogs ashes in with the ink. Yep, just a little would be fine.The day before, I drove from the Seattle area to Spokane for work-related stuff, then on the Saturday the parlour contacted me to say they had had a no-show if I wanted to go in and get started earlier. This was good for me, as it gave me – needle-phobic tattoo newbie me – less time to stress about it beforehand.I went in and Beth came out to greet me. Hadnt seen her in at least ten years but she was as friendly and calming as ever. I had the collar with me (I always carry it with me, as luck would have it), so she had a point of reference, and Beth got started on making the carbon paper to work from, sizing, positioning etc. She frequently asked colleagues for a second set of eyes, which was hugely reassuring, as it meant views from different angles and distances, and opinions.My simple design was not so simple - Beth gave it the actual fabric texture that the collar has, and has put an incredible level of detail in. What I have learned from this experience is that quite simply, you get what you pay for, and I got a first-class level of observation and care, not to mention the actual skill that went into the final tattoo.While she worked, Beth kindly listened to stories about my beautiful dog Millie, and she had the right mix of empathy and lets-get-the-job-done that I needed. She was definitely the right choice to do something that honestly meant, and means, the world to me. My dog was my sun and moon, and thanks to Moms – and Beth – I have the most perfect personal tribute to the most perfect friend Ill ever have. Cant ask for more than that.

Plus theyre the only members of the Association of Professional Piercers in town, proof of their dedication to safety and quality.

The person who assisted me was very rude and not very nice. They tried to press me to make an appointment when I just needed jewelry. Then ended up giving me the wrong gauge bars and was not able to exchange after purchase. They made me feel stupid when I asked questions.
