Moon and Mercury Tattoo

Got my first tattoo done last week by Kyle at Moon and Mercury and couldn’t be happier with the results! Everyone was very helpful and answered my questions and I enjoyed the company during my three hour session! Definitely will get any future tattoos there!

The shop had great vibes and Kevin is absolutely amazing! I went in for my first tattoo today and he made the whole process fantastic. I cant wait to book another appointment asap!

Back in January of this year I had booked to get a tattoo done by Kevin, and something had came up for him so we had to reschedule the appointment. He ended up compensating a fair amount of the tattoo because of this reschedule, which was a very kind thing for him to do. The shop has very good vibes, very sanitary, and was just a good atmosphere to be in. Kevin also did an amazing job, was super gentle, and is a very talented artist. Would definitely go here again and recommend this place.

My two cousins and I called if we could make an appointment same day to get matching tats for my birthday. Kyle was a super cool guy and everyone made us feel welcome and comfortable. Highly recommend! :))

The artists at Moon and Mercury demonstrate unparalleled attention to detail from start to finish. They take extreme care in the stenciling and positioning of each tattoo to ensure the best look on multiple body types. I’ve been looking to get this piece done for several years, but couldn’t find the right artist to take the idea up. Peter’s creativity was brilliant here - taking the idea of the four seasons, with some Japanese influence and putting it into a lower arm piece. He runs the place with his wife, who’s also lovely. The whole family is there including their two boys. He rocked this one in a single 8 hour sit. Good people, good energy, and lots of talent flowing through this place.

My 12 year old got his ears pierced. Ee was very gentle, and explained each step. The shop is neat and clean, with a wonderful ambiance. Moon and Mercury is great place for piercings, and I saw some incredible tattoo designs.

I had my thigh tattooed by Kevin, and he did an amazing job. Super sweet guy and an amazing artist. I was super happy with the price as well. Ill definitely be coming back!

Worked with Kyle on two coordinated tattoos. He was very quick to respond on social media. And he is very easy to make conversation with along with being funny. Cant wait to get more work done with him, but also work with Peter.

Been coming to Kevin for over a year and couldn’t be happier. It’s a family operation and you can feel it in the atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out thier blackwork and mandalas/geo. Also Kevin does sweet anime work. Highly reccomend!

Absolutely love their work. Truly unique pieces. The ambience also tells you what to expect the second you walk in. Welcomed me, made me feel safe, and we sat down to discuss what I wanted, what I was looking for, what kind of influences I wanted. Cant wait to get to work.Update. We started the tattoo last week and I love it so much. Line work is done and cant wait for the next session.

This place is BEAUTIFUL and so are the people who own it. I absolutely love my poke tattoo that Eelisha did today! She’s diligent with her work, and her family is the same way. The environment is very fresh and classy! All of these artist are amazing! Her husband Peter is one of the most talented artist I’ve ever met, and their sons are very talented as well! I came in kinda late in the evening and the owner was in the middle of a tattoo but still took time to help answer my questions! I had an apprentice do my tattoo and he was fully prepared! Showed me some of his flash sheet work and answered all of my questions very politely! Made sure to check on me throughout the tattoo to see if I needed to re adjust or if I needed a break! The atmosphere in this shop is amazing as well! I felt at home ❤️ and I’m so proud of having a tattoo done by Dayin! I’m definitely coming back!

Been with Kevin for the past few months and have had incredible experiences each time. Currently canvasing for blackout/blackwork and am truly blown away each session thanks to Kevins brilliant vision, skillfulness, and care. The talented artists are always welcoming and the shop gives off a very homey feeling. Will absolutely be working with this family and shop for years to come.

I greatly recommend this shop and the wonderful artists there. I have been there twice now, once during their Friday the 13th flash and now today, and both times were really good experiences. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Peter now for nearly 4 years, to say he is dedicated to his craft, his clients and providing a welcoming environment would be an understatement. As someone who can be pretty fidgety at times and needs regular breaks for big pieces, there is no judgement from him and his family/extended team. I am so glad I found them and am even happier they have their own shop now, which has brought the level of professionalism up yet another notch I didn’t think was possible.Peter also went out of his way and tattooed my wife for her first ever tattoo, where she knew she would be taken care of during the process.Although I’m singling out Peter so far, Ive been tattooed by Ee and Kevin too who were equally excellent, and I would highly recommend them too. To be honest, I don’t think you can go wrong with anyone at this store.

Just got my eyebrow pierced by Ee! They were so nice and very professional in the way they treat their clients and materials! The shop itself was gorgeous and the friendly alternative vibe was everything I needed. Will be recommending this shop to my friends in the future!

Called for an appointment. Got one the same day I was so happy wanted to get my ears re-pierced for a long time.Marina did such a great job.Didnt like where they were pierced when I got them 50 years ago.She changed the piercing area perfect When they heal Ill send a photo.Love you MarinaCML

Truly the best tattoo artist in the country right now, Peter is an amazing man with an amazing family. The family has opened a new shop where they can all work together, who could ask for more in todays world, a family run tattoo parlor-amazing. Peters wife Ee gave my wife and I wedding bands using the single needle method. What a fantastic experience with such a great artist and person. I got my first bigger piece from Kevin Koskela at Moon & Mercury this month. The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting when you first enter the shop, the lighting is softer which is really awesome and not jarring like most overhead lighting is in some shops, all of the artists are kind and friendly and make sure that you are comfortable from the get-go. There are snacks and water provided if you need or get lightheaded during your session. Kevin is very passionate about his work and constantly made sure that I was doing okay with the pain levels, and ensuring good quality work by going over color and linework for the fullest possible saturation. Cannot wait to work with him and this studio again in the future!

Let me just say this shop is hands down one of the most creative place! The energy is positive and powerful and they made me feel Comfortable about the tatoo I was getting cuz I was kinda nervous. Go here schedule ahead of time, and ask For Kevin or Peter!!

I came during their Friday the 13th event and was definitely not disappointed. The atmosphere is SUPER awesome as well as the people.getting a hand poke tattoos and it was a super cool experience. Definitely will be back for more!!

Took my 6 year old daughter to get her ears pierced. They did a great job she said they were very nice and super quick was done in about 15 min. Even sent her home with a little goody bag.

I can’t recommend this shop more! Great artists and highly professional results! I get no stop compliments on my sleeves and they have even won 1st place in a convention! From geometric/mandala designs to anime and stick and poke tattoos this place is WORTH it! Communication is excellent and the art will blow you away! Highly recommend!

This shop has the most talented artists. I’m finishing my sleeve with them and worked so hard to help me figure out how I want to finish it. I’m very happy with their work. :)

Amazing apothecary atmosphere transports you to another world as Peter Koskela and family put masterpieces to skin. I am getting a sleeve done with Peter and every piece we add is more amazing than the last. Every step Peter has been maticulous in design, fit and placement to ensure every piece moves with the body and follows natural movement. Every time Peter explains the work to be done and what to expect with tough areas which has always made me feel comfortable and cared for. I couldnt recomended anyone more for your tattoo needs.

Had a great experience with Kyle this weekend; he was super patient, considerate, and professional in addition to being a fantastic artist. Ill certainly be back to him for more ink.

I spoke with Dayin (pretty cool Lord of the Rings name by the way) a day prior and he explained it very well, gave me all the info I need for my first tattoo by them, so I came in today and got my scorpion, he showed me different options which I enjoy looking at, and was very professional with the process, he even let me step outside to vape before finishing, he knew I didnt have much so he gave me the red tips of the pinchers and stinger for free, its this extra initiative that tells me they care about their clients even though he just met me, the whole staff treated me like a good friend, and with all that said, I will deff be coming back and I will tell all my friends about this place, thank you again guys.

This shop is everything. The vibe and energy are unmatched for a tattoo shop in our area. The art and friendships you will find here are priceless. Go meet this family of artists, you wont be sorry.

I have been having my work done by Peter for years now. I have moved across state yet travel 6 hours because there is no one I trust more to put my vision to ink!

We had a confirmed appointment at 10:50 in the morning. I drove all the way in from Sandpoint in very treacherous winter conditions only to find that the shop is closed and no one is here! I’ve called multiple times I’ve emailed and zero communication. Very, very poor business.

Peter is an amazing artist, very clean, and great detail in his work. Will be back for another tattoo!
