Had a great experience with Matt! I walked in with a friend on Thursday evening and we didn’t have to wait at all for our ear piercings. They were really patient and informative, and our piercer Matt was really efficient and careful. I will definitely come back for my next piercing! They gave plenty of information about what to expect and after care.

The experience was quick. I got my navel pierced and it was very quick. However, for someone who may be getting their first piercing I would avoid going here. There were no instructions really given to us besides what the receptionist told me. I had gone somewhere else before where they gave me step by step after care and even explained their cleaning process to me. My mom got her nose pierced; they put in a corkscrew and it was sore 2 months later still. She switched it to a flatbed and a bump she had went completely away.

I got a tattoo and piercing and both artists did such a good job! great location and everyone was so nice and accommodating.

Rating specifically for Sophia as a tattoo artist. She is going to have a long, successful career and I would recommend highly. Professional and kind, has an excellent artistic eye and was able to give me what I wanted exactly, doing it freehand (!) AND working in a cover. She was open to changing my entire concept between consultation and my appt., which isnt always well received. Shop staff was welcoming and kind in my limited interaction with them.

Super fast and super professional. Cristy sits at the front desk and and is very sweet and attentive. Matt did my piercing. Very clean and fast.

I got my first tattoo here, Roman was my artist and he was incredible. He answered all my questions and didnt rush me while I was making decisions about the design and the placement. When we began he told me to take deep breaths and eased me into it. I am in love with the result! Setting up the appointment was a bit of a hassle because they are busy but totally worth it. I will absolutely be coming back!

I enjoyed my experience here. Ethan was my tattoo artist and did such a great job. He was really able to bring to life exactly what I wanted. He made sure I was well accommodated and felt comfortable throughout the entire time . Overall great experience!

Location is good, with parking not far away. I have been for two different tattoos, both with Kevin Avila. I could not recommend him enough. His work is incredible. The second tattoo is below and was amazingly detailed. The communication before hand was great. Both times he listened to what I was looking for and came up with incredible designs. The shop is clean and always full, which is a great sign. Highly recommend Embassy and Kevin.

I got my first tattoo here back in 2017, 7 years later I came back for my first piercing lol. Receptionist and my piercer were cute and polite, so I hope I get the chance to engage with them next time I wanna put a whole on my face🥴

If you’re looking to get pierced this is NOT the place to go. Their options are VERY limited to the point you minds well being your own jewelry. It took the lady forever to even put my ring in and my piercing is over 10 yrs old. I even asked if she’d like me to put it in myself. And their jewelry is expensive to be so basic and limited.

My husband and I drove 4 hours after researching realism artists. The shop is beautiful, clean and friendly. Ethan did a full day on my husband’s chest and then a full day on my forearm. Super professional and friendly! He took all my millions of ideas and made it into an amazing compilation! We cannot wait to schedule again!

I had my right nostril pierced here 9/22/2022 and it was quick and mostly painless. The healing process was fine at first until after a year and a half of regular and recommended upkeep it still wouldnt heal and was STILL bleeding. It wasnt until I visited another piercing TODAY who looked at it, showed me, and said that it was pierced so close to my nose bridge and at a very bad angle that it would never heal, so I had it taken out to be repierced by someone else later.It wasnt until I received more piercings down the line that I realized insufficient measures were taken at this location to ensure my piercing was correct. There was barely any inspection or preparation done during my appointment and my piercing probably wouldve turned out fine if that was done. I booked a piercing with this shop because I saw on the online portfolio that ethnic noses had been pierced before, but if I had known I would have a permanent scar on my nose from a bad piercing I never would have come to this shop.

I got my 3rd hole in my lobes pierced by Matt last week. Not only do I love the piercings so far but he was quick and I felt nearly any pain. I would recommend this place and consider coming back for more piercings once these are healed.

I had a fantastic experience getting a tattoo from Kevin Avila, an incredibly talented and professional artist. The shop is comfortable, spotless, and well-maintained, which made me feel comfortable and confident in his abilities. Throughout the process, Kevin demonstrated exceptional attention to detail, ensuring that every line and shading was perfect. I get compliments from EVERYONE, including other tattoo artists. Kevin takes great pride in his craft, and his passion for creating beautiful tattoos was evident in the finished product. My original design is child play compared to the masterpiece he created on my sleeve.Additionally, the price he charged was more than reasonable, especially considering the outstanding quality of his work. You truly do get what you pay for. I highly recommend Kevin to anyone seeking a meticulous tattoo artist who cares about his clients and their vision for their tattoos. I will definitely be back to get more ink done by Kevin.

Pretty clean and efficient space! I went in to take advantage of their $30 piercing special and got both nips done. Super professional piercer and even helped me get settled into a space nearby as I almost passed out (I’m a wimp). He did excellent work and was so patient with me.

Ok so I must say that this review is based on my experience with a man from Mongolia named Naba who is no longer working in this establishment. I continue to contact him through Instagram and have gone to him multiple times at his new location (naba_kh10). The setting at this shop is up a narrow stairwell near Adams Morgan. When you enter it’s a small room but the setup is very contemporary and open. It gives a vibe that says this place is clean and legit. I was very comfortable the whole time. The people there are very friendly and helpful and never pushy. Now back to Naba. He has a very calming demeanor and for my first tattoo that was super important. He really does amazing work and I would never go to someone else. He’s done multiple pieces for my children and they have amazing shading and detail. He doesn’t show off and make himself out to be some guy you need to be on a waiting list for. He changes his scheduling at a moments notice and always seems to be ready when I am. He is a hidden gem in this field of individuals who all claim to be the best. I’m sure others have talent but the bed aide manner is something I value when someone is doing work on my body.

This place is great! I just got my second tattoo here and they were very communicative, professional, and reasonably priced for the high quality of work. My artist was Sophia and although she is relatively new to Embassy, she killed it! The quality of line work and shading was spot on, I highly recommend her!

Ive had some good piercing experiences with Embassy in the past (like, years ago), but my most recent experience wasnt so great. I got two nostril piercings done here earlier this year.Positives:-comfortable experience, very kind piercer-my piercings were very even (which is difficult to do!)Negatives:-after going through several small infections and noticing my piercings were not healing properly, I went to a different piercer to look at them and see if anything was wrong.-I was told my jewelry was too small, not a good type of jewelry for healing, and was poor quality-one of the nostril piercings was pierced at the wrong angle, which caused me a lot of irritationI unfortunately had to give up on one of the nostril piercings due to this. The other, while still at a slightly wrong angle, is salvageable and has improved amazingly after getting new jewelry.Just be warned that there might be issues! Make sure you monitor your piercings closely while they are healing.(EDIT): Ultimately my second piercing also needed to be removed due to its angle and placement. In the end, I had months of pain only to end up having to remove both piercings (that I was told would never heal completely if I left the jewelry in). It was a lot of money and time down the drain.

Honestly I went in and made the mistake of saying it was my first tattoo … I got charged $450 for this tattoo +tip 😂 and I didn’t even question it because I thought it was the quality of the artist etc etc but after multiple friends said they got their entire sleeves for $200-300 I knew I was scammed. Not only that.. I had to go BACK because he missed parts of the coloring. 😭 I wish they wouldn’t take advantage of people going in alone and saying it was their first tattoo.

I walked into Embassy Tattoos requesting two head tattoos and I received professional Tattoos that would last a lifetime. I highly recommend Fernando...he is very, very professional and honest. He will make your experience a memorable one. TRUST ME!!!!

Great place to get my first tattoo. Booked with Roman, and he exceeded my artistic expectations. He gave me lots of breaks during the color session, but that also meant that I was there for significantly longer than that quoted 2-3 hours. Price was the high end of quoted range, and I felt like it was a great value for what I got. Super clean space, too.

Got my nose pierced here. The process seemed to go smoothly but the jewelry never fit correctly in my nose. The screw was constantly hanging out of my nose which made it very difficult not to touch the piercing while it was healing. After four months, I decided to get my jewelry changed at a different store. The piercer there explained that each piercing needs to be adjusted to the clients nose (something that was never explained or done at Embassy). Wish I had gotten the original piercing done somewhere else so that healing would have been easier and I would have received more information about nose piercings in general.

All around negative experience. I had three sessions with Zetir. Twice I waited for longer than 3-4 hours after the set appointment time before we started. Literally the appointment was for 1pm yesterday and we started at 5pm. That second long wait was yesterday. Today they email without explanation that he isn’t comfortable moving forward and won’t give me the drawing we worked on for over a month. No explanation. Add to all that that they literally charge twice the normal rate you’d be better off looking somewhere else. Super unprofessional

Unbelievably poor customer service. Scheduled a tattoo and paid the deposit and the booker told me a different date than what he wrote on the card. Simple mistake, no simple answer. They called to inform me I was late and when I informed them of what happened, they asked if I could still get to the appointment. Despite the appointment being a half day, they wouldnt let me come an hour late because the artist doesnt want to feel rushed. Ok, again, simple answer - Ill reschedule (even though when booked I was told the artist had the day cleared in case mine ran over). Sure, you can reschedule but you will need to put down another deposit - we are keeping the current one. So wait, you all made a mistake, then you wouldnt let me be seen an hour late for a half day appointment, now you want to keep my deposit and offer a walk in? At this point, I wouldnt trust the shop to tattoo me even if they tried to fix this mess. Ive been tattooed by the best, this shop is far, far from it. Dont waste your time or money.

Got my eyebrow pierced here yesterday. Quick, clean, and friendly environment. The piercer was good at communicating and piercing. Would recommend! Starter jewelry is also included in pricing for each piercing which some places don’t do so they have a bit of a deal (for my experience with piercing/tattoo places.)

I cane in as a walk-in I had a very simple tattoo in mind. I also didn’t have a budget and wanted a really quality tattoo. This was my fist time trying this shop I normally go to tattoo paradise on 18th street. I was told there was a $100 minimum which is pretty standard at first I was quoted $700 and thought it was pretty steep but wanted to see what the artist had drawn up so I went with it. I was assured he would use his artistic ability and it would be worth it I wanted full color (I’m black on the light skin shade side). The size was initially too small so I asked for it a bit bigger he made it bigger and I was okay with it. At this point I’m thinking the price might change by the time we’re finished and honestly I have crazy anxiety so I didn’t want to fuss. I waited for a bit and the artist was ready I didn’t feel welcome in the shop. The artist didn’t say a word to me which is ok, I’m not very talkative myself. I got itchy and scratchy one on each thigh. The color is pretty bad, muted, and rushed I was only in the chair for about an hour and 15 minutes he didn’t even do the colors right I was pretty upset but didn’t want to make a big deal. They came out smaller than I wanted and lacked detail. The artist didn’t even apply the second skin properly so I leaked all over my leg as soon as I left. This was definitely not a $700 experience I will not be returning. They came out okay but I still feel like I got majorly scammed out of money.

This isn’t about the tattoo price to be honest. I gave them a call to see if I could maybe walk in I asked very nicely a couple questions regarding how the shop works. I felt like the front desk lady was very rude and backhanded the way she was answering as if I should’ve known the answers. I come in regardless and try to get a spot for a tattoo maybe 4-5 inches. She ended up quoting it around 700$. While all of this I wanted to just step outside and maybe talk about it with my s/o and she was very rude once again repeating the first come first serve policy. I usually spend 5-600 on 4-5 inch tattoos so it wasn’t even just about the price like I said.

Roman pierced my nose quickly & painlessly. He was professional, kind and SO fast. I was in and out in 15 minutes. I didn’t even have time to be nervous! My piercing looks great and I will definitely be coming back to him for all future piercings. The shop is very clean and all the staff are friendly!

Fantastic place for first time clients!! I got a Helix piercing and I was super nervous about the pain and my piercer, Matt, was THE BEST. The whole place is super clean and sterile especially now with Covid. Staff is so nice and comforting and they made its great first experience for me. 110% recommend for anyone looking to get a tattoo or piercing !!!

Way overpriced. They were not clear on booking instructions and do not reply to emails in a timely manner or if at all. Tattoo took over a month and half to heal. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Chose this place based on their good reviews, and because they took appointments the day of. The staff was really nice, however, overall it was an unprofessional environment.My sister got a new piercing and was not given any after-care instructions, was not told what was happening during the service, and was offered to drink from the piercers (already opened) Gatorade bottle after she almost fainted, to name a few instances of unprofessionalism.I wanted to get my thirds in my earlobe, and the piercer was really good about going over some possibilities with me — but only after I bombarded him with questions. I decided to get new nose jewelry instead, but had to ask what kind of metal it was, and had to ask for a bag for my old jewelry (I was offered a paper towel to put my old jewelry in). Additionally, I didn’t see the piercer wash his hand once during our time.If you are knowledgeable with piercings, like quick service, and don’t care to know any aftercare or what’s happening during the procedure, this place may be for you.

This past weekend I went in to get my first tattoo and I was extremely excited about it because it was my birthday too. I walked in with my friends (we are all African-American) and we quietly waited in the lobby. At first the team were really great to us and we got to chat with the artist, the other POC staff were really great and I was genuinely excited, but then a white woman with red hair entered the space.The other receptionist asked her how her jog was so we assumed she worked there, so no issue. She scanned the room and approached us and asked that my friends leave because the lobby area had become too busy. Too busy or too black? My friends respected the request and left. A few minutes later, a group of white girls entered the shop and only one was being serviced but the white woman with red hair had no issue with their group being in the lobby with no masks. So somehow the black group made it busier? That whole situation made me feel uncomfortable so I left, we shouldnt have to act like we are back in Jim Crow times when we are paying for a service. Do better.

Everyone was so incredibly kind. I was freaking out (like a baby) about getting a helix piercing and Matt was super kind and understanding. He did my third lobe piercings, let me panic, and then did the helix like a total pro. They answered all our questions and were very professional and reasonably priced. Would absolutely go back and recommend to anyone considering a piercing or tattoo. And yes, they only use needles and sell the cleaning solution too.

I had a great experience with Brandon this week! He was patient, thorough, and took his time on a detailed arm piece that I got! HIGHLY recommend him. The entire experience was great. Anticipate some waiting so bring a book!

This place was absolutely amazing! From the time I walked in the door to the moment I left. Upon arriving I was greeted by the super friendly and sweet studio assistant Starr. My artist Nikko was super talented and very friendly! He took his time, made sure the drawing was exactly what you wanted and added his perfect artistry touch! This was my first tattoo and he eased my anxieties! He made sure that I was doing great throughout the session! I am extremely satisfied with my new artwork and will definitely remember this group the rest of my life! Get your tattoo done here and you will not regret it!

I dont usually leave reviews but I wanted to warn other customers of the problems they will run into with Embassy. I requested a design online that specifically called for customized font (which I provided an example of). Despite requesting a particular artist, I was told that I should come in for a walk-in appointment, and not knowing much about the process, I agreed. The day of, I called ahead to let the place know I would be arriving at 6. When I got there, they told me I had to wait until 7. I come back at 7 and was told that the guest artist wouldnt be available until 8. This should have been my first red flag but I decided to give the place a chance. When 8 rolls around, the artist shows up with a few samples of computer generated font that didnt match my example image at all. I was confused because I thought they would be able to draw it out (it isnt a complicated font). The receptionist proceeded to try to communicate my request to the artist through Google Translate because he didnt speak English. He said he would create a sketch and came back 20 minutes later with a design that omitted a very key font detail I had asked for (and was frankly just not great). Its obvious the Google Translation was not doing the job. The receptionist tried to rope in another tattoo artist who told me that they do not do customized font for walk-ins. I still cannot fathom why they couldnt let me know earlier or why they booked me for a walk-in in the first place. In between the inattentiveness, disorganization, and communication barriers, for a terrible experience that cost me 2 and a half hours, I would not recommend Embassy. However, if you choose to get a tattoo here, please check and double-check your request to make sure they actually understand what you want. I would also suggest to forgo the walk-in appointments for appointments with specific artists.

My little cousin (18) from OUT OF TOWN booked an appointment with a tattoo artist there for $175 dollars and she took the train and bus there just to find out that SHE WAS SCAMMED and this company did NOTHING at all about it . They just told her he isn’t there today. Now my 18 year old cousin was left out in DC out of all places stranded cause the careless acts of EMBASSY TATTOO! Do NOT give them your money ! It’s a scam .

Came in with my uncle to get his first tattoo.(currently sitting with him while he gets it done).I planned on getting my septum when he scheduled his appointment. I messaged this location before and found out Id be here during $20 piercing day. When we arrived, I was introduced to Matt and he sanitized the area and brought me to the back. I suffer from severe anxiety and was panicking the entire time. Matt talked and joked with me. I was freaking out for completely nothing. It was quick and painless. He found the perfect sweet spot cause I only felt the needle in my nose no pain whatsoever. Matt did an amazing job! Kevin is still working on my uncle but for his first tattoo and getting a half sleeve, he looks pretty comfortable. Thank you Matt and Kevin! We will definitely be back!

I emailed them to get a quote for a tattoo but the artists I wanted weren’t available which is okay so I decided to go with Lola since she had openings. She wanted to do a video call or FaceTime to discuss further but when the day of the appointment came she didn’t reach out. I didn’t receive a call or an email to reschedule so I emailed them to do so. The second time I also got stood up by the artist and didn’t get any notification about it or an apology, no explanation as to why she hadn’t reached out to me both times either. They called me a week later wanting to reschedule for the third time but at that point I had completely lost any interest in her as an artist because it doesn’t really matter how good you are, you can’t be unprofessional and stand up people twice and expect them to still want to work with you. I’m sure she’s talented but I can’t give my money and trust to someone that doesn’t have any sort of respect my time.

Great spot. Fernando took really good care of me and the work turned out awesome. Seemed to be a good spot for piercings as well.

I came in to get three cartilage piercings for my birthday three weeks ago. Matt walked me through which ear was better and changed the placement for me before we started. He kept joking with me while I got them, which is exactly what I needed. I was a little light headed after I got them done, and he had gummy bears and water. My ears have healed really well, and the piercings are exactly as I had pictured! I highly recommend coming to Matt for your piercings - he is excellent!

Came in for a walk in for a small tattoo on my wrist and was seen right away. Im doing this review about a year later so unfortunately I cant remember her name, but she was very sweet and made me feel so comfortable. She took plenty of time to make sure the sketch and placement was absolutely perfect to my liking and I couldnt be happier with it still. I get so many compliments on it and definitely want to come back for my next one! While she was completing it, I even spoke to her and another artist about potentially adding to/covering up my not-great-quality tattoo on my ribs I got in college and they made me feel very confident they could do some great work on that as well.

$20 Tuesdays for piercings are amazing!! Relatively quick process - just avoid going during lunch time or after work to bypass the crowds. Matt did a wonderful job and the person at the front desk was incredibly sweet and supportive. Highly recommend!

I got my nose piercing done here, and it was done incredibly quick. Also currently had my naval piercing fall out and bleed a lot. I couldn’t get it back in, but luckily Dani helped me out once again, incredibly fast, and didn’t charge me a penny. Great place and I hear very good things about their tattooing skills

One of the piercers other name of Matt is it nice guy and all but the problem is that I got piercings by him and he did two of the piercings the way he wanted to instead of what we agreed upon. He did Pierce where he said that he was going to pierce. I dont think thats right because the customer deserves to be happy with their piercing and the right thing is to be honest not just discuss something and then end up doing something different. Not only that I ended up getting a side lip piercing and the ring was too small so it ended up getting infected and I had to take it out after just two days. He said that I may need a bigger ring because of the swelling but gave me a smaller one anyway. So because of that my lip goes numb at times. I just think that he needs to make the right decision and Pierce where he says that hes going to pierce. Again nice guy but he needs to work on that. Yeah Im just not happy with the then especially the nose wish I could get my money back. Matt was dishonest and refuses to take accountability for his poor decision making and instead shifted blame on me. Not a nice guy after all...

Second time coming here. Staff is wonderful and really took care of me. My first time here was for a tattoo by Memo in 2018. Beautiful work, incredible detail. Today Roman pierced my navel and conch. Very professional and patient. Ironically I really struggle with needles. Memo and Roman were super helpful.My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is it was a bit stuffy and there was no water when I was feeling lightheaded. Roman improvised which was greatly appreciated.

Memo was the best! Had such a good experience at Embassy. The people were chill, the space was very clean. Would go back!

My right ear lobe piercing was way too low and the piercer even admitted it. I did not get an apology and still had to pay full price for it. I have now taken out the right stud and will have to get my ear redone somewhere else. Do not recommend - was really excited and hopeful after reading the other reviews and was let down. Paid $50 for the piercings and the cleaning solution was an extra $10 on top of that.Also: they use butterfly backing earrings for first time piercings which is horrible. It took me an hour to get the messed up earring out and was very painful. It’s been 20 minutes and my ear is still bleeding. This was my first experience with piercings and I’m hesitant to ever even try again. Really disappointed.

My go to place for piercings in DC -- nowhere else compares! I prefer this over other tattoo parlors Ive been to in DC! Matt, the piercer is the BEST -- will answer any questions you have and is super helpful. Honestly, take advantage of his services because its so rare in my experience to find a licensed, super honest, and helpful piercer that isnt just trying to get you pierced and gone.He fixed my roommates eyebrow piercing immediately noticing that it was originally pierced too thin (so it was always falling out). For my industrial piercing, he told me to come back anytime if it was feeling to tight/if the bar wasnt the right size if my ears swelled up too much.Additionally to that, the front desk is always SO amazing, welcoming, and also wow such great style (I aspire). For $20 Tuesday piercings: go before work hours and your wait wont be long at all! (my industrial was $40 -- two piercings).

Roman pierced my nipples and did an amazing job, he took his time and did not make me feel rushed with the process at all. He took his time with my questions and understood my circumstances and was letting me decide if it was what I really wanted to get done. He also did two of friends nipples as well and they said nothing but good things to say about him. If you want someone to trust, go with Roman. He is NOT a creep, doesn’t make you feel rushed and lets you ask any questions you may have. Thanks Roman!

I went in to get two of my three cartridge piercings re-pierced because they had closed partially. Totally obvious where they were because they were only about 1/3 of the way closed. I now have 5 holes!! And they refuse any refund! You decide if it’s worth them permanently screwing up your body!

This place is way way way overpriced I got a small 2 inch not even tattoo and it cost me 350 dollars my boyfriend got a 5 inch tattoo that had no detail in it at all and that cost 600 the people were not that friendly the receptionist was vary nice but thats about it but at the end of the day the work on both of our tattoo were not work 950 dollars together especially when they are not even the best tattoo on our body but they are both for sure the most expensive but no clue why

I came in for a simple tattoo of my birthyear. The tattoo was a dark blue/indigo shade. But after a few weeks the tattoo was completely faded and the numbers are not shaded in solidly. I was told my dark skin was the problem and that I chose a bright color. The artist admitted she may have overworked the tattoo. I came in for a touch up after spending more than 3 weeks trying to get scheduled. The receptionist were rude and ignored my emails and did not return my calls.It seems these artists dont know how to work on dark skin which is sad since their shop is in a predominantly black and Latino neighborhood.

Clean, no nonsense shop. I went in for the $20 piercing Tuesdays, and paid $25 total for my nose piercing, which included jewelry and a five dollar tip. I waited maybe 20 mins without an appointment and the piercer who did me was quick. Very pleased with my piercing and I have had no issues

Do not trust this place to get any piercings! They are very inconsiderate with you if you don’t have a high knowledge of piercings prior to visiting their shop. If you have questions about the process, don’t bother asking as it seems to be a burden to them. They will rush you in and out of their shop while giving you a non-sanitized, low quality piece of jewelry (for a high price) save your time, money & health by going to a different shop.

My friends and I -a group of 6; we’re all Black- came in to accompany one of our friends who wanted to get a tattoo to celebrate his birthday. We thought that since we’re all together and celebrating our friend’s new feat in life it’d be cool to be there alongside him and support him as he gets inked. However, we were told our friend could not bring us inside the room with him.We asked if we could wait in the lobby and we were told no because we’d be occupying too much space in the lobby because the tattoo parlor was “busy.” However, there were not that many people in the spot and it was near deathly silent. Also, there was a group of white girls -a group of 3- who had made an appointment and they were all allowed to go in with their friend.Not only is this racist, but it is utterly disrespectful because we were respectful in our interactions and were willing to pay the bloviated price of $200 for a simple “3” in Roman numerals. Super professional, creative, supportive studio! Even during a pandemic they made sure to follow extra procedures to make sure everyone was safe but still felt welcome and taken care of. Uvi did my tattoo and was fantastic! Great to work with, super pleased with how this first session of a sleeve turned out!

Tried to schedule an appointment with Lola, she flaked. I reached out to the shop who apologized and then I was assured she wouldn’t flake on the next consult FaceTime.Surprise surprise, she flaked and didn’t even answer the receptionist who tried to get ahold of her. She pulled a similar thing on a friend of mine, actually skipping a session and not just a consult call.Definitely not impressed and going to have to find a different shop to go to.

I called to have a tattoo completed by an artist who moved here mid pandemic. We had an agreement on what it would entail and how much it would cost at his previous shop. When I finally found out where he had moved to and had the time to get it done, he has suddenly doubled the price to get it finished. I can understand a marginal increase due to the amount of time since I had the first half done, but doubling the price is not honoring the previous agreement we had. I’m disappointed that the tattoo I got from him won’t be finished by him and that he has chosen not to honor the original deal we had made.

First class art gallery style with the most talented artists! If you are looking for high quality art, excellent customer service, and a high tech clean modern setting this is the place to be. Custom artwork is created thoughtfully and executed well. Fernando took my ideas and created a sleeve that surpassed my expectations tenfold. He was professional and detail oriented but also an awesome person to sit for. Absolutely client for life!

Came in this morning during their $20 piercing special to get second and third earlobe piercings done. My piercer was quick, professional, attentive, and seemed like a great guy to boot. I’m thrilled with the results!

Came here on a whim for a few piercings and couldn’t be happier! I was able to book an appointment the same day I called. Matt was so nice and patiently answered all my questions, and the piercings look great!! Definitely would recommend this place.

I got 3 piercings here about 3 months ago. It wasn’t healing well so I went into another shop that was closer to me to get new jewelry hoping that was the problem.When I went in, they looked at the backings and immediately asked who had pierced it. I told them Embassy and they told me that a lot of other clients had gone there and come out with messed up piercings.They used butterfly backings for all 3 of my close together ear piercings. I was told that piercers shouldn’t use them period because they harbor bacteria so imagine 3 really close ones. A lot of things were trapped back there despite the H2O spray/salt water soaks I did. Apparently Embassy isn’t keeping up with the standards of the industry. Please do not go there for your piercings. Save yourself money and time. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Very shocked they have such a high rating on here.

I went for their Friday the 13th special and everyone was very nice even with all the people trying to get tatted. I went to get my daith pierced as seen in the pic and I had a great experience. A lot less people took advantage of the piercing deal so I was in and out in 30 min.

Their tattoos are great, but their service is terrible, I sent them many emails, and they never answered me back, I called them, and I even went to their shop to request an appointment to have a full sleeve, the only thing they told me was Send us an email, which I had already done and they never gave me an answer, the truth is that they like to be begged as if they were the only tattoo shop in the entire DMV. I dont get it, begging for a service that you have to pay for? Its absurd ... I found another place where they did my tattoo without so many complications. I really wanted to work with embassy tatto, but apparently they dont need more clients.

Went here for the $20 Tuesday deal to get my septum done. Having had it before, I knew what to expect. The first piercing was wonky and too far forward meaning the ring couldnt hang straight. I asked if it could be redone and they said yes, but the piercer blamed me for moving making it wonky. I also mentioned that it wasnt through the sweet spot, and the piercer insisted it was. It wasnt, it was through cartilage. Second attempt was again through cartilage, but now hung straight. After a month of awful healing, I took it out to get it done elsewhere, where they would do it through the sweet spot.

Stef is extremely talented, with a background in traditional tattooing but with an amazing skill for the smaller lines. She has great attention to detail. Hoping to get my tattoos finished with her before she gets famous.The shop overall is clean and the staff is professional. Upholds its reputation well.

I would love to give this place 5 stars based on my experience, shopen environment, and custom service. However they lost 2 stars based on my experience after leaving the shop. The staff there are very friendly, they have up to date technology as far as signing in, and they had a really awesome Playlist going. The look and feel of the shop was great. The piercer was great. Very friendly and showed care in helping me pick a functional place for my upper cartilage/outter helix piercing. Everything was great until I got home. I went to do a usual sea salt cleaning and discovered that a BUTTERFLY back piece was used for a brand new piercing. I was a little dismayed by this, but so far I hadnt experienced any problems so I brushed it off. The back piece soon became an irritant due to my glasses. The piercing in general became more irritated, red, and inflamed even after sea salt soaks. I believe this is because it was not quality grade jewelry. I have a metal allergy and I have never been to a piercing place that used anything less than surgical steel or titanium to do aNY type of piercing. This caused me a great deal of pain and discomfort to the point that I had to have the jewelry removed after less than a week of having it. My advice would be to ask more questions when getting piercings here, especially if you have any type of sensitivities.

This was my first piercing! I was lucky to get Matt. The work area and tools were clean. Matt is knowledgeable and QUICK!! I will go back if I want another piercing.

This shop is dangerous to BIPOC and exhibits many concerning racist behaviors toward black patrons. The front desk worker is hostile and the staff are incompetent on how to tattoo black and brown skin. This is a basic standard skill any artist should be well trained in, especially in a neighborhood that is predominantly black and Latinx. The lack of this shows a blatant refusal to adapt to the times and treat people with basic kindness and dignity.

Phenomenal realistic tattoo artists here. Their shop is clean, well managed, and everyone is friendly. I had a great experience here.

I went there to get matching tattoos with my best friend who was visiting from out of town. The place was easy to find even though it was a walk up (it is not accessible for folks in wheelchairs as far as I could tell). The place is small but very very clean and recently renovated. The receptionist was super nice and helpful, she even remembered that we called earlier in the day.My friend and I signed the forms quickly (they are on computers which is super convenient) while our artist drew the design. Fabrezio (Zetir on Instagram) was able to make a really blurry picture of a stick and poke into something beautiful we both loved! He was really nice and the tattos were quick and mostly painless. Probably 20 minutes at most.Overall it was a really pleasant experience and I have already recommended the place to my friends. I plan to come back for my next tattoo.

I got two somewhat small tattoos on both of my wrists (see pictures). I love my new tattoo, but i really wish i went somewhere else or got another artist. Everyone was chill and things were exciting until the nice lady at the front desk came back and gave us the price estimate for $200 for each wrist. I was reluctant but i paid anyways. Things were not off to a good start, but i was getting my first tattoos so i was happy.Then my artist showed up, tyler. He seemed chill at first, and that helped me get rid of my nervousness. However, things went downhill when i asked if my friend could come back with me and he said no. My friend has several tattoos and i was hoping to have someone to talk to and comfort me. He rudely told my friend and i that he didnt want anyone else there.I walk back to his area and attempt to have a nice conversation with him, but he blows me off. When i pulled my phone out to give me a distraction, he told me not to use it because it would interfere with his work. At this point i was upset, but i still wanted to get this tattoo.He told me that he was going to start doing a stencil, and then he started listening to music on his headphones and just went to work. He didnt offer any kind of extra information like what kind of needle he was using.After a while, it started to hurt pretty bad, so i grabbed my knee and squeezed to help distract myself from the pain on my wrists. Tyler tells me not to do that either.So im sitting there for an hour and a half suffering without a thing to do except look at the floor.My tattoo couldve been done for $120 anywhere else and it would look just as good, and the artist would have been much nicer.If youre looking for a cheap tattoo, or a fun experience, go somewhere else.Other than tyler, everyone else that ive met there has been really nice and kind. The studio is very clean and looks nice. I hate to give such a bad rating to such a high quality tattoo shop, but i was overcharged for an uncomfortable experience.TL;DR: Dont get tyler as an artist if you are looking for a nice experience.

I was a walk-in. The front desk girl was awesome. She kept going back to the artists to discuss what I wanted, pricing, etc. Waited about an hour. Finally linked up with Tim. These were my 4th and 5th tats. Other two were at Fattys and Tattoo Paradise. Ill never get another tattoo NOT from Tim.He talked through the design. Gave me a fair price for his skill set, and took his time getting everything straight, from the sitting arrangements, to the lighting, to even buying ME a bottle of fancy water. Their equipment is top notch (unlike Tattoo Paradise) and their aftercare advice is how you can Really judge a tattoo place. They use Saniderm, which is a skin specific bandage for healing unlike the SARAN WRAP most places use. Most importantly, Tim guarantees his work and has a free touch-up policy. ESPECIALLY if you want a photo or realism tattoo.

The place is very clean and the staff is friendly. The selection for piercing seemed rather small. However some friends got piercings and they were in and out quick. They even had a sale going on every Tuesday

Excellent artists. Great tattoo shop. Parking was awful since its in the city so try to find a ride or take a lyft or uber. The price was a bit expensive but the quality of the tattoo was incredible. My artist was Stef and i highly recommend her. The shop itself is very clean and they take good care of their equipment. The waiting area has chairs and a television while you wait. I highly recommend this place.

I got a tattoo on my back I paid $800 for it I was supposed to get color but it took hours to do an the shop was closing so I had to come back. I never got it done the guy that I paid to do the tattoo went out of town the next day so they said. an I called an he stop answering. So I never got my color done. Half done tattoo for $800 I want my money back.

Everyone was professional and wore masks. The piercer was very upbeat and outgoing. He worked quick. You saw him setup everything he used so you knew it was sterile.

I went to get pierced two months ago, it was quick and painless, it healed well and I just went again this weekend to change the stud to a hoop.

Tim was great! Took his time to get it right. He was very gentle and kind. Was very detailed and ensured that all of the lines were perfect. I definitely recommend him!

Went here to get a consultation. I was referred to this shop by a friend and was impressed by the work I had seen on their website. I ended up scheduling my tattoo and look forward to getting the work done in a couple of months!

I went to get my septum ring changed and the gold hoop that they used was cheap and ended up tarnishing within months. It was expensive for the poor quality of jewelry. Not really sterile process either

Be aware of this place , when you call to make an appointment they ask and waste your time to send them an email with what tattoo you want as soon they find out the the tattoo is a small one 2 or 3 inches they will tell you the person you requested is booked until next year !!!!! this place doesn’t want to deal with small tattoos because they want big ones to make more money ! They should have this advertised on their website and IG ! Waste of time calling and sending email, we can take our time and money somewhere else ! So unprofessional!
