Bryan was absolutely amazing. He accommodated me quickly and worked me into my busy schedule and his. This tattoo has been a long time coming and he spent so much time making it perfect for me. Very professional. The shop was clean and the piercing jewelry was beautiful. I highly recommend anyone looking for new ink or a new look with a piercing to stop in and have a great experience like I did. I will be back.

Bryan made my tattoo dream come true! I fell in love with this photo of Bob Marley the first time I laid eyes on it, and it immediately became the tattoo of my dreams. I always said that I would wait as long as it took to find the right person to do this tattoo for me and I truly believe that Bryan was supposed to do it! My wife and I found this place randomly while looking to do some tattoo therapy after a rough day at work, and in the process of getting separate tattoos, I found out that Bryan does portraits. It was fate! The research and planning and care that went into it warms my heart every time I think of it. The fact that he has been so excited to work on it just takes my trust up to the next level. This is only after session number two! We have plans to do more work on it simply because Bryan wants to make sure he sees it from every angle, including after it’s been healing for a while. I have felt so comfortable every time that I’ve gone to this shop, and as I have said each time I’ve left, they are, “stuck with me for life now!” I will recommend this place to any and every one!

I got my first tattoo with bryan in october of 2023. i have been consistently coming back basically every month since then (it is now july 2024). i’ve gotten tattoos done by everyone (sabrina, rose, and bryan), and have never once had a bad experience. one day, i was here basically from open to close, and they made me feel so welcomed and everyone was constantly checking up on me to make sure i was okay. i also have an accidental matching tattoo with sabrina :’))) i treat this place like a second home. i love my tattoo family 💜💜💜

We came into this shop on our very last day of vacation and my artist, Bryan, did such an amazing job and was so friendly and gave such good advice on getting my first tattoo! We had such a blast in the shop and genuinely did not have a single boring moment while we waited. All the artists were amazing and did an amazing job making us feel comfortable, and especially me as it was my first tattoo. I would definitely recommend anyone to come here whether it’s their first tattoo or not.

I came in on Friday, and I had to write a review! Bryan, Rose, and Sabrina were in the shop. All of them were super friendly and made me feel super comfortable during my time there. I got 2 tattoos, one behind my ear, and another personal tattoo on my sleeve. Bryan double checked with me the dates, spelling, and how I wanted my tattoos to look before he started. His work is phenomenal, and both of my tattoos came out perfect. I am a Myrtle Beach resident, and while I loved seeing an artist at one shop, I think from now on I am willing to make the drive back to Wilmington for future visits. The shop is clean, colorful, and super inviting. I have been to numerous shops throughout my years of being tattooed, and nothing tops this experience. Also, not only were the employees and shop great- their prices are too! I was quoted a very decent price, and with the work I received, this whole experience was nothing short of perfect. Bryan has done 3 tattoos for me at this point and every single one he has given me not only what I wanted but he has gone above and beyond to make sure that I love my tattoos. They’re so friendly and welcoming also. Being in the south it’s hard to find LGBTQ+ safe spaces and the entire team there has made me feel safe and comfortable. Had the pleasure of meeting Brian when I walked in on a Wednesday at 7:45 pm for a nose piercing. The shop was hopping with three people being tattooed and two waiting, but Brian and the other staff members were quick and communicative. Told me I would wait, but kept me up-to-date on time and it took way less time than I expected. Understanding, very polite staff and efficient business. Highly recommend!

I was so nervous to get my belly button pierced but they did such an amazing job!!! I was comforted the entire time and the atmosphere were the best vibes possible. Highly recommend!!

We were on vacation in Oak Island and decided to look for a place to take my daughter to get a labret piercing (and me for moral support!) and the first shop we went to was closed with no signs of life. We called this establishment and they said we could come on in as walk-ins.Rose was super friendly and very welcoming. I give her professionalism 10/10 because she walked us through every step of the process, keeping us informed of what she was doing as she was doing our piercings. Cannot reccommend this place enough!! I got my first tattoo done here a few days ago by Bryan. One of my favorite muscians, Joe P, drew me a tattoo based on his song (Color TV) that I sang on stage with him last year. Bryan honored the drawing with so much attention to detail, respect, and accuracy. He walked me through the whole proccess and never left me in the dark about what he was doing. He was so kind and understanding, even when I passed out (I am an anomaly; if you are reading this and are thinking about getting your first tattoo, I am 98% sure this will not happen to you). We even listened to twenty one pilots the whole time, which as a huge fan made the experience even better :)The Gay Penguin is such a wonderful, inclusive environment. I got 3 ear piercings here back in December of last year and it was a wonderful experience! The shop is super appealing and bright and the entire staff is absolutely amazing! Bryan did my piercings and he was super professional about it and made sure I was fine the entire time we were doing the piercings. He even re-did the markings a few times just to make sure they were perfectly positioned! Incredible shop and would highly recommend to anybody!!

Got my belly button pierced (first piercing) last night and it was a wonderful experience. I was impressed from the moment I walked in, the shop is bright and clean and has great energy and the staff is non-judgmental and accepting. I was nervous but Bryan patiently walked me through the whole process and was quite gentle. Bryan is very compassionate, friendly, kind, positive and supportive. I stopped by this place for a nose ring because I lost mine in the car on my way to work. A very kind and sweet gentleman went above and beyond to help me. He picked the perfect jewel stud and helped connect it in my tiny nostril. I forgot his name I was so happy and in a rush. I’m very thankful to him and will be back for a tattoo soon! Writing this review not even 12 hours after because I couldn’t wait to. My husband & I walked into the shop at 11pm on a Saturday night & was greeted by Bryan a.k.a the nicest, most welcoming human I think I’ve ever experienced. He was kind, patient, supportive, accommodating, all of the qualities you want in your artist & beyond. He absolutely killed our tattoos, we love them so much. The shop itself is clean, bright, & has the best vibes. We truly didn’t want to leave. We’ve made it our go-to shop now & will be driving from Chapel Hill every time just to come here. Bryan is amazing. Always has been. When someone really loves their craft they give such high quality work. Everyone in the shop has great energy; it’s a great place to go if you’re looking for someone who cares about what they are putting on your skin and cares most importantly that you are happy to carry it. My gosh, cannot rate this place high enough. I went here for my first tattoo ever, they were the absolute sweetest people I have ever met. I went in not even knowing if I was going to get the tattoo. But Brian took some time to talk with me and calm my fears. He did amazing work. They have a very welcoming and understanding environment!

These guys are amazing. Just came in here and got new jewelry for my lip and they were amazing and helping me find the right type of metal for me. I got my nipples pierced by Bryan here about a week and a half ago and he was very kind, informative, and patient! The shop was very clean and I felt safe throughout the whole process! When I needed a moment in between piercings Bryan let me have it without any complaints! It was inherently a painful piercing, but I think it was well worth the pain considering how well done the piercings are. They look symmetrical and have been healing nicely so far!

This review is a year and a half late but better late than never am I right. The environment in Brian’s shop is incredibly welcoming and homey. He is the only shop I recommended to anyone looking to get a tattoo. The time and detail he puts into his work is astonishing, and I can guarantee you’ll love his work. Called before I got there to see if they could do my tattoo, they said they could and that it would take just a couple of minutes to get me in. I waited 2 hours, they took 2 walk ins over me, at that point I just left.

Bryan is the epitome of professional. Yet in his shop you feel as though you’re friends in his living room. Your tattoo is his art and he takes pride in it by taking the time to plan the details to make it exactly how you want. I didn’t say how he wants. It’s his art but he respects that it’s your body and he regularly asks for feedback and suggestions to ensure you love it. He is a gifted artist and has more than reasonable prices. I found this studio on Instagram and was impressed by the linework. I had been searching for a good place to take my mother for her first tattoo so I was super excited to get an appointment. Brian is friendly and easy going, which helped my mom relax through her nerves. He worked with her multiple design idea changes to create a piece of art that fit exactly what she wanted. The studio is clean and welcoming, just like the owner. We will definitely be recommending this place to our friends and hope to be back for some more ink ourselves.

Bryan was my artist, but all three artists at Cadillac have done some amazing work for myself and my friends! They are clean, timely, and professional. I came back in and added touch ups to a previous tattoo Bryan did a few weeks ago, it took two hours and easily could have been $50-$100 of extra ink but he did it for free. He is a good, reasonable businessman on top of being an amazing artist who took my ideas and created a beautiful piece. This is by far the best shop in eastern NC, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Update: changing my rating from 1 star to 5 stars. I spoke to Bryan about the whole situation from last night and he offered to come in on his day off and tattoo me and my friend. Once we got there he asked us what we thought he should do to make the situation not happen again and he actually listened and seemed to be very concerned about how everything went down. The tattoos ended up coming out great and was a great experience! Bryan is such an awesome guy and people should get tattooed by him! ☺️Don’t even waste your time. Me and 2 of my friends waited for 2 1/2 hours to get tattoos, just to be told after walking in several times that they are booked for the rest of the night. The artists were rude as hell and the place smelled like weed. And on top of that they tattooed people who were clearly under the influence. I will never be coming back to Cadillac ever again.

Gotten both of my tattoos here and both times have been an excellent experience. Bryan has been my tattoo artist both times and I totally trust his work and any ideas he wants to change on my tattoo idea. He’s very personable and comforting. A 3 hour session feels like 20 minutes because the conversations are so entertaining.

Coming to get my nose pierced at this location was by far the best piercing experience I’ve encountered. Brian was a great artist. Very kind and informative while also being open and comforting which helped with my nerves leading up to the piercing. The way that he pierced my nose was great because it hurt way less than when I got my bellybutton done (which is very shocking!). The prices were great and theyre also looking to start donating some of their proceeds to animal shelters. Great service, artwork, prices, and (soon) a great cause! First off, Bryan is hands down one of the best artists to work with. He was super professional, nice, and made the 3 hours fly by. His design of the tattoo I wanted (Lady Justice) was better than I imagined. I can’t wait to go back to finish the shading and eventually my sleeve with him!

I first met Mike in December 2021 when my daughter and I were in Wilmington for my birthday and decided to get matching tattoos. Mike took us as a walk in and created our artwork from a design we had found. He done a wonderful job for us. So when my son and I decided to get matching tattoos, Mike is who I called to schedule a appointment. I sent him the idea of what we were looking for and he once again created us matching tattoos. We are three hours away from Mike as we live outside of Charlotte NC. There are many tattoo shops between here and there. I will continue to travel to Cadillac Tattoo to see Mike for all my tattoos I have planned. Mike is exceptional as a tattoo artist and I’m proud to call him MY Tattoo Artist. His work is superb and his pricing is desirable. I’m in love with both of my tattoos created by him and I’m planning my next session to work on my sleeve of flowers. I highly recommend Cadillac Tattoo and Mike.

I was having an issue with a piercing that wouldn’t stop bleeding, I called Cadillac and they got me in right away! The piercer was very helpful, didn’t catch his name, but he cleaned everything up for me and was very informative on what to do if it started to bleed again. The piercing was done at a different shop but he treated me like a regular customer. I will be back when I’m ready for another piercing!

Brandi is an awesome addition. She keeps up the funny banter and always is willing to lend an opinion on placements and designs. If you havent tried this place yet you are missing out. First tattoo since I moved to Wilmington and I will confidently say I won’t go anywhere else. Amazing staff. Bryan did my tattoo and it turned out perfect. He really took the time to make sure every last detail was 100%. Can’t wait to get another one!

(Very accommodating) Will also def be going back to get some work done by the piercer which might I add is very informative and welcoming... and Due to covid I get anxiety going to the grocery store at times but walking into Cadillac Customs shop I felt none of that.. Seriously fantastic staff and experience - piercing was a breeze with Delsin, I felt so comfortable and at ease (quick and painless as possible). Had great convos with tattoo artist Bryan during my brief wait and check in. The piercings have healed beyond beautifully and I wouldn’t go anywhere else for future projects :)

I got my first tattoo with mike tonight! I made a same day appointment after a brief consultation and he got me right in. He was super personable and made sure i was comfortable during my session. Everyone at Cadillac customs (especially mike) made sure i felt at home! I will definitely be returning and will suggest them to all of my friends!

Got my septum pierced today and not only was this literally the best price in town, Zoe was exceptionally professional, and made the procedure easy and was patient with me when I needed a second before the needle went in. She also handled my four year old son who is very curious and friendly with new people very well. The only negative that I have is that they dont take credit or debit cards and I had to manuever some things around and pay for it in a way I wasnt planning to pay for it because of that fact. Aside from that, great place, and Ill be looking back into them when I start thinking up and saving the money to get my arm tattoos done.

I came to this shop 4 years ago and wowwwww, its so different from what it used to be. Super improved! Went to see Bryan was amazing and I will be getting a lot more work done with him in the near future. Already scheduled.

Started a sleeve last year but of course I had to come back to get more work from Bryan. Bryan knows what he’s doing and makes it extremely comfortable while providing excellent work! I’m looking forward to coming back soon to get more work done!

I came to get my tongue pierced and got it done right on the spot. Delsin is a very kind and chill person, he did an excellent job on my piercing. Walked me through everything, let me breath, and just like that it was done. No pain at all. The dog made everything much more enjoyable and exciting! 10/10 do recommend, will eventually come back soon! :)

Got my nose pierced from here. The price was great. The guy who did it was doing a tattoo when I walked in and asked me what I wanted, and there was no other people there who worked so I had to wait probably 20 minutes which isnt to bad. When he was finished he got right into piercing my nose, he was patient and talked me through it because I was nervous. The diamond for my nose was the only nose ring they had but was pretty. The piercing was quick and he made sure I waited an extra five minutes to make sure I wasnt bleeding still which was cool. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone.

Bryan is one of the nicest people Ive ever met, and a great tattoo artist. Ive never really had a home shop, and typically go where is convenient for me, but I think this may have to be my spot from now on.

Great service. They definitely make sure the client is well taken care of. Gave me a consultation before I came in so I could ask questions about getting an area re-pierced. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

They are clean, pleasant, and wonderful to talk to. Zoey does amazing work with color and Grey wash! I love going here and have received 4 tattoos here! I wont go anywhere else!

Always love coming here. I’ve had two tattoos done here, my labret piercing, and just yesterday I got my philtrum and my nostril pierced. The workers here are talented and professional, very down to earth and you can really tell that they love what they do and that they really put their best effort into any project they work on. Bryan was very friendly but unfortunately my very simple tattoo turned out not so great. The lines weren’t all the same thickness and he went too deep into my skin so the ink spread. It looks awful. Wouldn’t recommend.

The first tattoo I got done from Zoe was absolutely great but I had planned on getting another one done by her and had paid the deposit.. she rescheduled once and then called me less than an hour before my appointment to try to reschedule yet again.. unprofessional and inconsiderate. Tried to reschedule due to a party being thrown in the shop.

Piercer helped me with a very last minute piercing removal! the environment was dope and everybody there was super friendly. even the customers. definitely coming back here one day.

I went to get my first tattoo here and would love to get more from them in the future. The prices are great and the guy that works there (Bryan) was very helpful and made me feel right at home I almost didnt notice I was getting a tattoo.

Its no wonder they have one of the lowest ratings on here. I just went in there to ask about tapering my septum piercing because I just got it re-pierced and it fell out about 30 minutes. It takes 2 seconds to do. The guy was extremely rude and raised his voice at me saying that he doesnt taper and tried to get me to pay to re-pierce it. HORRIBLE customer service. If you dont want to be treated like a C class citizen dont come to this place.

I had a great experience with the owner, he made me feel comfortable and even more excited about the tattoo. I definitely recommend this place even if you dont live near by. This was worth the 2hr drive!!

Went there today to get my sons ears pierced. Only one person working and one person sitting on the couch waiting on the guy working there. He finally came from the back of the store. I asked him about the piercings and he stated that he was was busy which I understand then he said all I can tell u need to come back in 2 hours. The lady sitting on the couch said go ahead and do the boys ears it will not take long and I’m in no hurry. He said no I need to focus. We left and went somewhere else where I was welcomed. Go somewhere else. This occurred Wednesday Aug 15 at approximately 100 pm.

I got my belly button pierced here, the piercer was okay nice I guess. But the jewelry was crooked and bled for more than an hour. Also it got infect right away even though I was cleaning it the way they told me too.

Best most accepting place in Wilmington to get pierced or tattooed! All staff wants you to leave happy.

Went and got my ears pierced (2 upper helix piercings) and not even 4 days later my ear was so infected that I fainted from the pain. I went to the doctor and had to get the piercings cut out of my ear because the swelling was so bad. They tested for infection and I ended up having MRSA. Was on antibiotics for 2 weeks and it still is painful and not healing properly. So disappointed I spent $94 just to get MRSA

Ok duh I know you need to see it. No recomendations on how to get a price idea, no suggestion to email a picture. Nothing. No point in wasting my time if you are gonna be rude. Going elsewhere.

We went up there on a Saturday night about 10 and there was nobody there we set there for 45 min thinking maybe they went to get something to eat and in that time multiple people showed up the open sign was one and the hours says they close at 12am but nothing
