Art Ache Tattoo

Gracie is by far the BEST tattoo artist I have found! Her work is phenomenal and she is always so welcoming. I cant wait to go back and get my 3rd from her!!

Tammy did a great job piercing my daughter’s belly button. My daughter was nervous and appreciated her professional and comforting nature. Derrick did amazing with my tattoo. When I came in I wasn’t sure what direction I wanted to go but everyone was super helpful. Definitely will go there again! Highly recommend.

Ive been getting tattoos from Gracie for years now and her work is always amazing. She always lets me take my time figuring out my placement and she always comes up with the best and most creative designs. I love her style of tattoing and have never been let down. Art Ache is a great shop too, very clean and the other artists are nice. Gracie is the best go see her!!

I’ve been working with Gracie on a cover up tattoo. I was open to suggestions and she drew a beautiful cherry blossom tree. She’s easy to work with, she responds to messages quickly and loves what she does. The shop itself is clean and is a laid back environment. I would highly recommend Gracie to anyone looking for a traditional style tattoo!!

I’ve gotten 3 tattoos so far with Gracie and I definitely plan on getting more! I can’t imagine going to anyone but her! She has some pretty nice work and is always friendly and always has a chill environment throughout the process. I highly recommend checking her out!!

My sister and I walked in to get a tattoo, not knowing fully what to expect. Both Don and Jon did amazing work! The skill set that they have is awesome! If I ever come back to Wilmington and what a tattoo, I definitely will be back to Art Ache.

Last year I got a memorial tattoo for my grandson Chase. I was never really happy with the way it turned out. The lettering was not sharp and somewhat blown out. I waited for well over a year to see if it would clear up. When it didnt I contacted Don at Art Ache Tattoo. My plan was to put a cloud background to see if it could improve it. Don suggested that he put a white drop shadow to thin out the lettering. Now I AM happy with the results. He also added a bird to simulate the soul of Chase flying off into heaven. Below is the after and before. Thank you Don at Art Ache Tattoo.Fast forward to today. Do did two more for me. The first one was in celebration of our upcoming 53rd wedding anniversary. The second was a design thought of by my oldest grand daughter Madison sharing memories that we have fishing together. I cant give a high enough review of Don and Art Ache Tattoo. If I could give him 10 stars I would. His artistic ability is phenominal. His sense of humour is wickedly sharp. Its worth it to hang out at the studio just to listen to the interaction between Don and the clients. I highly recomend Don and the entire staff at Art Ache Tattoo.

Gracie does amazing work! She did a great job tattooing me and my friends and she is very kind and easy to work with! I definitely recommend getting a tattoo done by her!

What an awesome shop! Great vibe with a fun bunch of artists. My new work by @inkbygracie was exactly what I wanted. She was super fast, clean lines and awesome shading! Will be finishing my sleeve here in the future.

My husband and I were from out of town and saw Donn. Loved the experience and the tattoos! He made us feel like we had known him for years! Everyone was so friendly and laid back. Donns work was on point! He even suggested a bustin bbq place. Diffently will see him again! Go see Donn!!!!

Johnathan Jernigan did my tattoo him and he was amazing it was my first tattoo for my 18th birthday and his team was funny I highly recommend going here if your looking for a amazing tattoo

Art Ache Tattoo is hands down the best shop in the Wilmington, NC area. A clean shop with a friendly atmosphere. I personally have Derrick as my artist and he is truly one of the most talented artists, Ive ever seen. Hes extremely versatile and has especially amazing color work. Derrick isnt the only one with award winning art. Donn and Matt are also unbelievably talented. If youre looking to get great work at a fair rate, then I recommend you book yourself an appointment. Ill never go to another shop, after my several great experiences at Art Ache.

Jonathan Jernigan just finished my thigh tattoo. He did an amazing job. We were a walk in appt. He quickly drew up a better version of what I wanted. He quoted 2 hours and did exactly that. Very professional, friendly and so talented. Definitely will be back to get more tattoos from him.

Finished my second session with Derrick Fowler today. Everyone in the shop is awesome to talk to and it makes it really easy to relax when getting new ink and I cant tell you how much I recommend people go here to get new ink. I definitely plan on going back to get more done.

Just met Don yesterday to look at a very recent awful tattoo I got somewhere else. He couldnt have been more supportive and knowledgable! The gang there is going to try to come up with a happy resolution for me. Im looking forward to seeing them again!

Friendly, funny and fantastic! Friendly atmosphere. A funny artist which made for a great distraction. Donn did a fantastic job on my honey bee. It turned out awesome. He also did my moms first tattoo, simple but special. I would highly recommend any Donn at Art Ache Tattoo.

Had the absolute best experience getting tattooed with two of my friends by Derrick. We had a great time chatting with him and a coworker (forgot to ask his name unfortunately) and he did an excellent job. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and our ink.

I went here for my 21st birthday, and the atmosphere was warm and easygoing. The owner of the business was friendly and professional, making sure both my guest and I were comfortable and knew the tattoo procedure. We discussed potential sizing, and I was greeted with multiple options for the tattoo I described over the phone. He offered me beverages and spoke with me throughout the tattoo to ensure I was relaxed. The service was so good that it persuaded my mother, who is normally opposed to tattoos, to get one from the same place. I wholeheartedly suggest this establishment.

Matt was phenomenal in every way! Loved working with him. He tattooed me and my wife today and did a fantastic job. I’m new to the area but just found the place that I will be using from here on out! Thank you to everyone who helped us while we were there! Also they are very reasonably priced!

This place AWSOME! I’ve been getting my ink by the man the myth the LEGEND Matt all of these guys are very passionate about their job and really good at it too ! Would highly recommend this place 300% ! Atmosphere 12 out of 10 , sanitation 12 out of 10 , you feel like your home and are one the funniest people I know so it’s a plus !
