Wilmington Tattoo & Piercing

They were awesome! We were on vacation from NY and 4 of us got tattoos on Thursday. My husband and I had Ricky and our son and his boyfriend had Jake. They both did great jobs. I liked mine so much before we head home on Monday I am going back for another one on Sunday. We would highly recommend them. Not only do they do great work but are very friendly and cool. Easy to talk to.

Flash sale Friday the 13thWhat an experience!!!Mike was so funny, great with time and just an awesome guy to have great conversation with. Loren was so sweet and super helpful with the questions I’d throw at her(:The whole staff was just so good at their job(s) and made the wait completely worth it!Not to mention how awesome our tattoos (and one piercing) came out!

We came as a group of 3, walk-ins, and these guys were great. Were so happy they were able to accommodate us. I just wanted something small & simple to commemorate my beach vacation and Joe delivered! I love it. Josh & Ricky went to work on my nieces & all 3 of us left the shop satisfied with our new ink. Even though theres a shop on the Island, we plan to return to Wilmington Tattoo & Piercing each time we visit CB! These guys are solid.

I am in love with my new tattoos!! After having had a regular artist in Phoenix AZ for years I’ve been very hesitant to get a new tattoo since moving back to Wilmington two years ago but the owner Mike did not disappoint he went above and beyond my expectations/dreams for both of these and I will definitely be coming back for more!

Place is awesome! Very accommodating! They are very kid friendly. Our kids played minecraft with the owners son and got some temp tattoos! Super fast and beautiful work! Thanks for helping us continue our vacation tattoo tradition! Thanks again from a fellow buckeye!

My friend and I were on a weekend trip to the beach and came to this place as walk-ins based on their stellar Google reviews and it did not disappoint. Jake was our artist and he did 2 incredible tattoos in an hour and for a great price. I loved the work so much that I am planning to make the 2 hour drive from Raleigh to get tatted by him again. Not to mention the shop was super clean and everyone was very professional, funny and cool. Was a great experience! 10/10, would 100% recommend.

Mike was great! My friend and I were walk-ins and were seen asap. He was very personable, funny, made you feel comfortable, great pricing, clean set up/equipment. Would definitely come here again and see Mike. Had awesome t shirts too!

Joe did this cool tattoo for $35! He did an awesome job and was super friendly and fun to talk to. The atmosphere of the place was very nice and welcoming. All the employees were really cool. The place looks very clean and has comfy couches to wait on. Definitely recommend and will be coming back soon!

Jake is a paw print master! My dog Jackson loved to lay on the couch with his paw on my thigh and head in my lap. Those are some of my favorite memories with my special boy. I was heartbroken when I had to say goodbye and wanted to remember that paw and our time together. Jake did an amazing job at giving me exactly what I asked for. I will cherish it forever!

This place is awesome, really cool vibes. Got a flash sheet tattoo and some bats for myself in less than 2 hours. First time for my boyfriend and Jake made him feel confident and comfortable with his art work.

I’m a freshman at UNCW and came here for a tattoo! I loved the atmosphere of the place! Everyone was so friendly! My best friend also got a piercing and loved the experience too! I got my tattoo done by Mike! He was super chill and my tattoo turned out great! He made my vision for it come to life! Overall it’s a great place, especially for a college student on a “budget” (but for anyone really!), to get either a piercing or a tattoo!

Got tattooed by Joe on Saturday and I just took my saniderm off and I love it! I saw his flash sheet posted on Facebook and messaged the shop to book and they got me in next day. Everyone seemed friendly and professional. Loved the vibe of the whole place and I can’t wait to visit again for more.

This was my first time visiting and it won’t be the last. The owner mike did my Friday the 13th flash art and was very chill and super kind. Easy to talk too and everybody there had an amazing vibe. I didn’t want the 13’s incorporated into the tatoo and mike free handed over what would be the 13’s. Although small, the detail is exceptional. Loved every minute about it.

Mike did a great job with this tattoo. He has a gentle hand and a great personality. I will most definitely be back for more tattoos.

My girlfriends and I went here this past weekend to get tattoos of the same flower but different versions of it. One of my friends and I had Joza and I CANNOT thank him enough for a job well done on both of us. This was my first ever tattoo (I got two done too!) and he put me at ease, explained everything and most importantly the end result on both of us including both my tattoos is truly immaculate. I will absolutely without a doubt be going to him for all my future tattoos! If I could give him specifically ten stars I would, if you want an amazing fine line tattoo done, GO TO JOZA!The two reasons I’m giving a 4 star review instead of 5 is:1: My girlfriend that was given a tattoo by a different artist had a very different experience then mine AND the result of her tattoo shows it. Where Joza was detailed, careful and asked many questions, the other artist did not. He was rushed (because of an appointment that came early) and caused a lot more bleeding that was necessary due to that rush and didn’t ask any questions beforehand on what she wanted the tattoo to look like so hers was done very very thick. Yes it was “fine line” but Joza took the time to confirm how fine, gave me examples and wanted to make sure I loved it, he took the time to care and that is why my tattoo is truly crisp and beautiful where my friends is thick and closer together. Really sad that our tattoos that are supposed to remind us of our friendship will cause her some disappointment at the same time.2: We were told over the phone that pricing was based on the size of the tattoo. So we assumed that our larger flower on our ankles would of course be the more expensive tattoo compared to my second tattoo of a small initial behind my ear. Instead I was told at checkout that the initial behind my ear would be almost double the cost of the larger flower because of the “placement”. I find that pretty frustrating because I might’ve waited on the second tattoo due to cost if I had known BUT, I chose to not put up a fuss because I knew that the work Joza did on my two tattoos was something I’d smile at for the rest of my life and just decided to not make a scene. We learned through this to confirm every detail before hand… every detail of cost and to ask for the same artist for a group so there’s no comparisons afterword.But like I said in the beginning I will be coming back for my future tattoos and booking with Joza without a doubt. Thank you again Joza, I really appreciate all the effort and care you put into making my first tattoo experience so awesome and you didn’t even know if was my first experience til the end, so thank you again!

I went in over the weekend with my friend to get a couple of small matching tattoos! The “apprentice” Joe did them for us as well as an extra one of song lyrics I wanted! He did such a fantastic job on both and was really personable! We actually really enjoyed chatting with him during the whole process. Honestly everybody in there was, which has not been the case typically with the other few tattoo places I have gone! The ladies at the front desk were wonderful too, especially Ashleigh who went above and beyond to make sure we got what we were asking for! I would definitely go back there for another tattoo in the future!

Brooke did an absolute amazing job, she was super light handed and very gentle. Love that she made conversation to make the time go by, very satisfied. I will be back. Thanks Brooke. 😊

Visited a friend in “Tree Hill” (aka Wilmington) for a One Tree Hill reunion and picked up a souvenir tattoo.Mike got me in same day and I couldn’t be happier with my tattoo. He was able to pull the exact font from my image, too.Can’t say enough good things about the experience.

Absolutely stellar shop. Had the pleasure of being tattooed by Mike and am beyond thrilled with the outcome. The shop itself was clean and well decorated. I went with a few friends of mine to the Friday the 13th flash sale !Our tattoo artist was Mike and my piercer was loren and let me tell you how awesome they are !!! So funny and they took their time doing what they love ! Overall experience 10/10! Everyone there is welcoming, really!

Joe, who is the apprentice there but AWESOME!! I was a walk in and he was super welcoming. He did an amazing job and was very precise! While doing my tattoo, we were able to have conversations and he made me feel super comfortable! I will definitely be back to go see him.

Just got matching tattoos with my nephew in honor of our sister in law/aunt who just recently lost her battle with pancreatic cancer- this means so much to me and my family as a whole- and she will never be forgotten- the work that Johnny did to create a vision that far exceeded our expectations was well worth it. I highly recommend this place for any artwork that would like to have added or to begin your own tattoo journey…. All the staff besides him were excellent and friendly as well. I can’t say enough about this place

This place is the best! They were able to game and my husband in last minute because thankfully Ricky had a cancellation. Everyone was so nice! This was my first tattoo and Ricky made sure I was comfortable. I will never go to any other tattoo shop or anyone else!

I highly recommend Rico and Jonny. They are talented and professional tattoo artists. They know what theyre doing, so dont hesitate to put your trust in them. And see Loren if you need a piercing. Shes a perfectionist who is serious about proper placement and infection prevention, just what you want in a piercer. I love this shop!

Laurie (i think) answered the phone and was very quick in letting me know which artist was available and getting me in same day! I really appreciated that - a lot of shops around Wilmington aren’t very easy to communicate with so I was grateful that this part was smooth. Went here to get my first tattoo ever and had a wonderful experience. Everyone was nice. Got tattooed by Jonny. He did a amazing job. The line work is clean. Shading on point. And he was super considerate when it came to me needing a break and made a conscious effort to ask me throughout if I was good. Also gave me super clear after care instructions and recommendations. Most definitely will be coming back for my next one.

Lauren and Laurie are FANTASTIC, super sweet, super chill, I went in for a septum piercing and Laurie greeted me and helped me with the sign in process. Lauren was so so SO sweet, knowledgeable, and helpful. She guided me through the steps of what was going to happen and what to do afterwards. There was absolutely ZERO pain which was dope. Only reason I’m doing 5 stars is because I can’t do 6, Lauren is dope, Laurie is dope, 10/10 would recommend, will be back ASAP

I got my tattoo done by Jake, he did my sunflower perfectly, and knew exactly how I wanted it! He was also so patient with me considering my family was down here on vacation and I had my 2 year old next to me, since my husband was getting one at the same time as me. They even put on her favorite show before I got started, and offered her snacks!! This place is the best place to get tattooed. Amazing people, very family friendly. I highly recommend they to anyone that lives here or visiting!!!

We had a great experience with Wilmington Tattoo and Piercing. I saw their flash sale come across my feed and messaged and got in pretty quickly. They allowed me to get 2 flash pieces for 80. They were a good size and fully colored and shaded. Mike was my artist and took his time to make sure they looked nice and I was happy with what I had. My husband booked an appointment for himself with one of the other artist. They were all very personable and very nice. It was awesome hanging out and talking. They even took the time to talk use through the aftercare process and products which they homemake with all natural ingredients.

I was planning on letting my daughter get her ears pierced here but she ended up being hesitant. Deslin showed us around and let my daughter look at the earrings without any pressure to get it done or rushing us. He talked to me about the procedure and answered all my questions. Although she wasnt ready, we felt welcomed and had a good experience there!

Everyone was great! They worked with us to customize the designs we had in mind to make beautiful pieces. Everything was clean and everyone we met was super nice. Brook was the artist that did my tattoo and I will be seeing her again!

Joe was great and a really cool dude who vibed and put excellent work into our tattoos. Delson was cool and understanding when he gave me a piercing. During our long wait (mind you we came in as a group of 10), they were able to give multiple amenities between a TV hooked up to an Xbox to plastic-ware for food we got from one of the very close food spots. Great location, great staff, great experience.

I had a great experience. Got a piercing and the piercer was very knowledgeable and did a fantastic job. Highly recommend coming here. I also just got a vending machine tattoo which picks what you get. I was kind of disappointed at what I got but now I really really love it. The artist made it super cute.

I walked in and just asked for some tattoo therapy and the owner asked for my price range and I told him and he just went and got his tablet showed me a design and gave me an incredible deal. He was also extremely nice and cool I’d love to go back there soon!

I just recently visited Wilmington Tattoo & Piercing with my partner and a friend of mine. The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming as was the receptionist. I came in to get my dimples/cheeks pieced and Delsin was open and honest with me about the process and procedure. He told me he had done only a few sets of dimples beforehand but despite that I felt confident and comfortable in his abilities. He was very knowledgeable and made sure to explain everything in detail before each of our piercings. My partner got their angel fangs done and my friend got her tongue pierced, all of which came out looking great. Each process went smoothly without complications. Delsin was by far the funniest, most personable piercer I’ve met. He laughed and joked with us the whole time, really making this experience one to remember. My dimples came out looking perfectly. I am beyond satisfied with this experience. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone interested in piercings! Thanks so much Delsin!

On a whim i called to see if walkins could be done. I had a crazy idea in my mind. Mike, Lorie, and another very talented young lady made my crazy idea a beautiful reality. I can not be happier and I will be back with probably another crazy idea. I felt so comfortable and safe. I felt welcome even when on the second whim decided to drive 2 hours one way so i could find my way around and to just a feel for the shop and the staff. EVERYONE i met is kind funny and friendly. Came in as a walk in and Ricky tattooed me. Seemed like he was upset and aggravated with me when we were looking for the font. Also upset when I asked for their to be more space in between the words. Ending up charging me 175$ for a tattoo that took MAYBE 30 minutes which I really don’t understand. 4 words and 175$? I have an entire sleeve of bigger pieces and never paid this much before. Ridiculous.

I love them!!!! Such a wonderfully clean and professional facility. Welcoming and kind employees. I got an awesome tattoo by Mike, and got some cool piercings by Brandy while my husband got a tattoo by Mike. A great place to get your work done - don’t hesitate! They are amazing! Johnny is an amazing artist, too!! Oh, and don’t forget to get Brandy’s special tattoo aftercare balm!!! 💕

Lauren did a great job piercing my daughter’s ears. She was patient, kind and hygienic. If you have a younger child who is interested in getting their ears pierced I highly recommend using Lauren.

Pretty sure most of the reviews here are bots or fake. Customer service was absolutely horrendous. Me and my girlfriend had an appointment with Ricky and was forced to wait for more than 40 minutes! One of the worker was literally sleeping on the couch, very unprofessional. Would highly not recommend this place.

My brothers came into town for to visit me and as we are kayaking/paddleboarding down the intercoastal we decided we needed tattoos. Sent a FB message and a few hours later we got some much needed ink therapy. Dave did an amazing job on mine, I will definitely be returning.

I just recently came here with my partner and a good friend of mine to get a couple piercings with Delsin! This was our first time going to this location and we felt very welcomed! I got my angel fangs done, my partner got their dimples/cheeks done, and my friend got her tongue pierced. Delsin was very upfront and was honest about his expertise with dimple piercings and even gave my partner a discount, that being said we all loved how our piercings turned out! Delsin made the whole experience fun and had us all laughing the whole time. This place has a wonderful atmosphere and the receptionist was even talking with us as if she was our friend, all chatting about our piercings. I would highly recommend this place and Delsin as a piercer, we will definitely be coming back for the next round of piercings!

Ive gotten tattoos at different places and this place is by far the best place everyone was so nice and friendly and it was very clean and the lady at front desk done amazing for getting us in there as quickly as she could and Ricky done amazing job on mine and my wifes tattoos and I highly recommend this place if you need ink work done

What can I say this place is awesome first the wife and I decided to take a vacation to Wilmington North Carolina. We are from Ohio. Second we wanted tattoos to start off the vacation we googled a few and nothing really caught our eye until we found this place and seen all the flash tats and so we decided to book a appointment. When we arrived almost immediately we felt welcomed and it didnt have that awkward feeling you get meeting new people it was like we had knew them from way inback lol. Literally the best experience I’ve had getting a piercing and I have had my face poked 11 times. I’m so glad I drove an hour. Delsin is the first piercer to actually measure out placement rather than just eyeballing. No embedding, no irritation bumps and he kept cracking Spongebob and Shrek jokes lol will 100% be returning

I was tattooed by Jake and my mom was tattooed by Jonny at the same time. They were so accommodating and we definitely had a great time on our “girls day”! The atmosphere is inviting and laid back. Didn’t tell me how to care for it after. Snapped at me. I was driving after I left and noticed blood pouring down my neck. I came in for a memorial tattoo for my dad and Mike did a wonderful job! I also got one of the spongebob flash with color and brown skin is hard to get colors to actually show, Mike did his thing and did more than I expected. I am definitely coming back for more tattoos.

The shop’s atmosphere was great. They were quick to get us in, even though we didn’t have an appointment. I got a RHCP logo on my back, matching with my mom. Jake did my tattoo and was even thoughtful enough to play RHCP while getting it done, which just made the whole experience even more memorable. Yesterday was my 4th time going to this place and my 3rd time getting a tattoo by Jake. Each time he has done a wonderful job. The first piece was about a month or two ago and was a coverup. He did an amazing job hiding what was underneath with something i absolutely love. The second time I went was for a piece Jake wanted to do that was posted. 3 and a half hours later it turned out just as good as I expected. I love that they are willing to admit if they cant do a piece and recommend someone in shop who can. I love this place and reccomend it to anyone who will ask. Definitely reach out to them about that one piece you have been wanting. You wont regret it.

Such an amazing Friday the 13th experience!!! This was my second year in a row coming to get one with this shop, and each time they are always so welcoming and are very charismatic. Johnny is a great artist who did my tattoo so fast I was kind of shocked, and I’m so happy with how it turned out! And Brandi the piercer was such a sweetheart, very accommodating and was super reassuring which I always appreciate in a piercer. Overall an incredible experience, and I will be back again!

MAKE THE DRIVE!!! So glad a random pop came up for them on FB - worth every minute of the drive from Jville to Wilmington. They promptly responded to my DM for an appointment and I got in quick!! Vibe was awesome from the minute I walked in and the pricing is freaking fabulous. Im still a tattoo noob so was a little apprehensive going by myself but they were awesome from the get go. I didnt feel silly asking questions or confessing Im a big ol baby when it comes to pain. Jonny was FABULOUS - great demeanor, fantastic artist. Any suggestions I made were listened to and I didnt feel bad voicing opinions. We had a great time and though I ended up evidently picking not the best placement for a big baby for one of my tats - we made it through :D SO happy I took the chance and the drive.

Brandi also did a belly button piercing for one of us and it was a great experience as well!
