This place is awesome!! insanely friendly staff and very talented artists. i came for a flash tat and had such a great experience! i didn’t catch her name, but the receptionist was so sweet and chatted with me while i waited :) the shop itself is so beautiful and felt so cozy. both jake and mike were so kind and helpful! mike did the two headed bunny tattoo in the photo. definitely will come back asap!!

Really can’t say enough good things about the workers at M&M. Even though I was super anxious and nervous (needle hate gang) everyone was very kind and warm and made my experience there really great. Jake did my tattoo and he is an amazing artist. He was patient and very warm and friendly and super knowledgeable about his craft. They will make you feel comfortable and like you are in good hands here.

I HIGHLY recommend coming here!!! personally, i got this tattoo done by Sam (squid), and he was absolutely amazing!!! i gave him a picture of what i wanted, he messaged me about making some really cool alterations, and i said GO FOR IT! he included me in the process every step of the way which made me feel so comfortable. i asked for the final design to be a surprise until i got there (personal preference), and when i saw it… O. M. G. I FELL IN LOVE!!! it was super chill throughout the whole process and told me everything i needed to know about taking care of it (and his preferred products). i got little goodies afterwards that i adore, and i’m feeling awesome the day after :) thank you SO MUCH squid!!’ i absolutely love it :)

I LOVE getting my tattoos here! The atmosphere and people are amazing and so welcoming. I got my tattoo by Sam and felt comfortable with him right away. His excitement and passion for his work shows in every art piece he creates. We bonded over the same music taste; we sang songs from my favorite music artist while he tattooed her lyrics on my arm. Overall a fantastic experience and I will go back again.

Nearly two weeks ago I went in with my husband to get memorial tattoos. We have lost a handful of cats that mean the world to us. Anywho… We met with Jake and we went over our ideas. My husband came in with an inspo pic that he’d like recreated in Jake’s style. I had a few ideas but I just knew I wanted florals and a cats skull . Rattled off a few of the plants that meant a lot to me and that I had adored his dot work, shading and meticulous fine lines. When I went in to the appointment, I was rather nervous as I’m terrified of needles and didnt know what to expect with this being my first large custom piece…. Only having a small Friday the 13th flash on my other arm for reference… He and the rest of the staff instantly put us at ease. made sure we were comfortable, well informed and we felt as if this was an extremely safe space. The shop is beautifully decorated and yet so very clean. The artists are all knowledgeable, charismatic, genuinely phenomenal humans. We cherish the stories shared and time spent. Not only were our expectations met but they were greatly exceeded. The pricing is fair. The artists are all honest and through their hard work, wildly talented and extremely detailed. The shop is comfy and clean. I often find myself daydreaming of the next piece I’ll get from Jake as this one finishes healing beautifully thanks to his advise and suggestions. I truly cannot recommend them enough.

I had an amazing experience with Sam! Sam empathetically reviewed the pictures I brought of my dog along with the tattoo ideas I had in mind to honor her memory. Sam’s attention to detail and compassionate approach turned this tattoo into a sweet celebration of my dog’s life. The entire experience was absolutely wonderful and I cannot recommend Sam enough!

My mom and I had matching snail tattoos done by Sam (Squid) and he did SUCH a great job! He drew them out and tattooed both of us in a timely manor, and was extremely kind and a great conversationalist.The entire staff was kind and welcoming as well.I will absolutely be back for another tattoo with Sam!

First time at this studio and I immediately felt at home! Jake is a phenomenal artist and does unbelievable line work. In our 6 hours together, we held amazing conversation and quite an impressive sing-a-long. Even though I live 3 hours away, Ill undoubtedly be going back. Worth the drive.

Had an appointment with Jake (Aviary). He was very kind and professional. His prices are reasonable considering the good quality work he does. My tattoo I got from Jake is my favorite one I have to date. The studio is decorated very nicely and is a super cool atmosphere!

If you are considering getting a tattoo at Moth & Magpie, this is your sign. Every tattooist in this shop is an artist FIRST and I believe that this is what sets them apart from the others. I reached out to Sam (Squidd Tattoos) a little while back about a piece I had thought up to honor my father, who passed away this year. Sam was immediately passionate about designing a beautiful tattoo for me. He included every element I requested, created a beautiful, seamless tattoo, and even shaped it to suit the placement I had chosen. He answered every single question I had about the process and even asked some of his own. When the appointment time came, everyone at the shop was very accommodating and offered me a drink multiple times! Although Sam was the mastermind with this tattoo, it felt like a collaboration because he included me so much in the process, he even asked my opinion on the colors he could use and gave me options. This was sooo meaningful to me. Throughout the appointment it was crystal clear that he truly cared about my experience and comfort as well as creating a beautiful tattoo. He displayed a beautiful balance of discretion and passion. I really could go on and on!!!! Sam stayed late to get us to a stopping point, and sent me home with a thank you card! He is truly a treasure and he has given me something that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I can’t wait to update this review with a photo after my final session. Moth and Magpie itself is such an interesting tattoo shop, the interior itself and the studios are super cool. Everyone who worked there was awesome and knew their stuff too. I got tattooed by Maggie May and am definitely going to be coming back in the future!

The artist Maggie was very professional and easy to talk to about any questions I had. The line work is great as well as the shading and filler. The price is very good for the time and work done as well. 10/10 definitely coming back for the rest of my tattoos here.

Incredible experience, the process start to finish was so easy and enjoyable! From the consultation to the actual tattoo everything was perfect, staff is welcoming and personable the entire session. The owner of the studio is focused on providing a calm environment and top customer service for everyone, not to mention the tattoo I received is gorgeous and healed so quickly. The studio is clean and beautiful 10 out of 10 if I could leave 10 stars. I will definitely return!

My friends and I walked into this shop on a whim. From the very beginning all the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Sam ended up doing two tattoos on my husband and friend that turned out amazing. My husband got a “get what you get” tattoo of a shrimp of all things and Sam did a wonderful job working it into his previous artwork and made it look like it was a planned piece. Sam goes above and beyond to make everyone involved feel comfortable with every part of the tattooing process. Couldn’t have gotten luckier with Sam and this shop.

Walked in and got my ear mapped by Delaney, best piercing experience i’ve ever had (and i have a lot of piercings). Kind, respectful, lets you know all the info and did an amazing job on the piercing itself. She even gave me and my friend goodie bags 😭💓💓 Will be going back to her for more piercings 🫶🫶🫶

1st The shop is amazing. Such nice friendly staff! Brooke Ayers Tattoos! All I can say is if there was a way to give 6 stars I would. Gave Brook an idea in my mind and maybe a couple pics of examples of what I was thinking too begin to complete a sleeve on my left arm. She took my idea and ran with it! Greatly exceeding any preconceived expectations! Not only do I look forward to the 2nd session of the Sleeve. When we get to the 3rd session I am giving no idea suggestions other than keep the same theme. And will just let her draw as she deems fit. Extremely professional. And just an all around great person! 10 stars!!!!

I had a great experience getting 2 pieces done here by Jake. Everyone there was super friendly and made for a very laid back time both for my consult and my 2 appointments. Its a very nice shop with a cool aesthetic. Jake does some awesome realistic black and dot work. Highly recommend coming here for either tattoos or piercing.

DISCLAIMER: this review is simply to share my experience with the artist specifically. The shop is awesome!TL;DR: Great shop overall, but greatly overworked tattoo from Joe.The shop is great. The owner is great.I have friends who have had awesome experiences with their artists at the shop.The artist I saw (Joe)… not so great. I had an existing tattoo that I wanted added to to cover one little loop that bothered me aesthetically. The artwork from Joe was fine. But the aftermath of my tattoo was harsh. I was told two different things from the artist about what was wrong with my skin/tattoo, then I asked the owners opinion & my doctors opinion. Turns out after having it looked at by the other two people, my tattoo was extremely overworked which also resulted in me paying a higher price due to the additional time taken (to overwork).Jake has been extremely helpful through this process and if not for him, I wouldn’t be going back. However, once I’ve completely healed, I do trust Jake to take care of me.

I have gotten piercings and my jewelry changed by queen LANEY, and she is the BEST. I have 11 piercings from different shops, and she is by far the most professional one I have encountered thus far. Laney also uses sterile gloving and sanitizes the room between clients, which I HIGHLY respect. Laney is super knowledgeable about piercings and jewelry and anatomy of your body for where piercings go, and also does ear mapping!!!! You can really tell this is an art for her, and I have MAD respect for miss Laney. She also gives you GOODIE BAGS and lollipops. Spectacular and amazing

Delaney is super sweet!! I had the best experience I’ve had while getting a piercing!! I received tons of information before and after my piercing she even checked my piercing after it was done to see if it looked absolutely perfect which was awesome💜 She also recommended Maggie May for a cover up!! I am excited to come back for another great experience!! I highly recommend!!

Jake just did my first tattoo ever. I am absolutely in love with how it turned out! I’m very happy to say that it was way easier to get a tattoo than I’d ever thought. It took me nearly 27 years to get one but I’m so happy that I decided to go with Moth & Magpie!!! If anyone is looking for black/no color work look no further than Jake! Im super excited to start my tattoo journey and I couldn’t be happier to have found an absolute professional (aka Jake) to tat me up with some beautiful work.I don’t know how to add a pic to the review but I’ll post it separately. I saw the owner Jake for a walk-in tattoo and had a great experience. He is super knowledgeable and thorough with education about the tattooing and healing process. i would definitely suggest this place to someone who has less experience with tattoos they will definitely take care of you. I wanted to do something crazy and spontaneous, so I booked an appointment with Delaney to get my nostril pierced. She was absolutely amazing. It was my first facial piercing and she made me feel so comfortable. She is extremely knowledgeable about what she does. She walks you through each step she does so you are aware of what’s going on. She answered all my questions that I had. She is so amazing. The staff at Moth and Magpie are so nice and sweet and welcomed me! I am definitely coming back to get some tattoos and some more piercings!

My daughter and I went for matching conch piercings and their piercer, Laney was a delight. She is extremely knowledgeable and I was impressed with her patience as my daughter becomes quite the chatterbox when she’s nervous. She made sure we were both comfortable and explained the whole process for us. The shop was very welcoming and clean and we definitely be back.

Went in as a walk in with a friend. My friend got squid and her tats ended up looking really good and he was very friendly and didnt mind asking for coworkers opinion on placement. He was very attentive to detail and didnt mind printing multiple sizes and reapplying stencils for perfect placement. Even offered his opinion on adding some dot shading to make the tattoo look better. My dude on the other hand would not work with me on the size of the tattoo I wanted so I like the tattoo but hate the size of it. He also got irritated when I said the placement was crooked and he kept saying it is the floor or my chest. My friend finally looked and agreed that the stencil was crooked and he finally changed it. He didnt want to reprint on the so he refused the one that he had. I totally regret not asking for someone else or just letting squid work on both of us. Getting them removed soon. Seemed like the artists here had a great portfolio but not really interested in what the client wants. 4 stars only bc my friend had squid.

Moth and Magpie was recommended to me by another artist in town as being the home for a respected female piercer. That recommendation couldnt not have been more correct. From the time that I walked in the door until I left, I felt at home. I have been around the industry now for 27yrs and I would highly recommend the facility, but also specifically Laney and Jake. Laney was the artist of choice for this visit and she was welcoming, knowledgeable, honest and professional. In this industry finding that all in one individual is a diamond in the rough. She spent way more time (her choice) with me than what her price warranted, she is worth far more than her service charge in my opinion. I witnessed their interaction with other customers while there and each one was genuine. I will return and highly recommend to anyone. Thank you Moth & Magpie studio for a wow experience

I would rate 500 stars if I could. I had an excellent experience with the piercer, Laney. She was knowledgeable and professional and wanted what was best for me and my healing. She was also a huge sweetheart. And on my way out I asked one of the tattoo artists a question and ended up getting an impromptu consultation to fully answer my question. This business is full of talented and kind people and I will definitely be back.

After looking around at several different places to get a piercing done, I decided to go to Delaney at Moth and Magpie I’m so glad I did , she is Amazing!!I can’t say enough about her professionalism, her patience with me explaining everything from jewelry selection to aftercare. The staff was welcoming and shop stylish.As I was waiting for my appointment with Delaney , I was talking to the staff at the front desk about tattooing and cover ups I had been wanting to do a cover up on my back. I met Maggie May, again I can’t say enough about her professionalism! Maggie is so easy to talk to, She took me upstairs and looked at my back we talked about different ideas I was so impressed with her taking her time out to answer all my questions . I set up an appointment with her and just finished my first session .. I’m super happy with the beginning of my new tattoo!! So impressed with the quality of Maggie’s work!! This shop passes the vibe check! Not only did I enjoy their amazing interior design, but the place is spacious and clean, the staff are helpful and nice, and the tattooers are skilled and knowledgeable. I got a portrait tattoo from Maggie May--it is beautiful and I cant stop looking at it! I sat with her for five hours (my longest session yet) and the experience was relaxing. Im already scheduled for another session!

We drove here from Columbia South Carolina two weeks ago to get my daughters ears pierced by Billy and I’m glad we did. He had great reviews so we figured it was worth the drive. Everyone was friendly and accommodating and even offered us refreshments while we waited. Billy was awesome. Super nice, super funny and just had a great personality overall. He was also very professional and did an excellent job with the piercings. She hardly flinched and they look great, zero issues while healing. Overall we just had a great experience and I highly recommend them. Thanks again guys !!

When you walk in, you’re greeted with a smile and a very understanding staff who are willing to work with you. I came in for a walk in and the owner, Jake, immediately started drawing up my tattoo and was very professional. He was a very upbeat and went over every part of getting a tattoo. From the cleaning of the tattoo area to the care afterwards, he was on top of it. Cannot recommend him or his shop enough. 5/5 stars

Delaney was the best! So knowledgeable, clean and explained everything in detail and told me step by step what she was doing!! Delaney is a very experienced and knowledgeable piercer, I went in to get a consult and her personal opinions about placements and couldnt be more pleased. She answered everything in depth, extremely clean, reassuring, and awesome overall! Its almost a week healed now and by far these have been some of the best piercings Ive ever gotten, she even considered my glasses placement!

I received a septum piercing and both nipples yesterday from the wonderful Ms. Delaney. My entire experience was phenomenal! I highly recommend Aces and Eights for anyone looking to get a quality custom tattoo!I came in a couple of days ago for a consultation with Jake, and then had my two tattoos done by him yesterday. Im more than happy with the results. :)I was extremely nervous (mostly due to social anxiety lol), but he ensured the entire process was as comfortable as possible and helped calm my nerves. I appreciated his professionalism and friendly/positive attitude, and Im super satisfied with the level of quality and detail of the tattoos I received. Also received clear and specific aftercare instructions, which made me feel more confident about the healing process.The building itself had a professional, clean atmosphere, and I enjoyed seeing all the cool wall decor in the lobby. The wallpaper in the bathroom is my favorite. Everyone I interacted with there was really welcoming and kind, as well.Id love to have more tattoos done here in the future, should I have the opportunity. It was such a nice shop! I absolutely loved it there, the atmosphere was amazing and everyone was so nice. I was tattooed by Sky. It was my first two tattoos and they talked to me the whole time and made it an awesome experience. The first photo is gonna be right when I got it and the second and third are the tattoos about a week and half later. Over all I can’t say enough wonderful things about both sky and the shop

Billy was absolutely awesome!!!! I went in SO nervous and anxious! I almost ran out several times! He was so understanding and really helped me to feel at ease and comfortable! The conversation was epic as well. I feel like he would be awesome to just hang around and talk to for hours. Vermillion did my first tattoo, he made me so comfortable and helped me through my nerves the whole time. He was very light handed so it didnt hurt that bad. As well as being able to move fast but still doing amazing detail and color. I will be going to him to finish my sleeve. I highly recommend him to everyone

He is very professional, friendly, he will make you laugh.. But he really know’s his profession and is amazing at it. Awesome tattoo spot in Augusta. Talented and helpful staff!

I was a walk in for second earlobe piercings. They took me straight away and Billy did an amazing job with my piercings. He made sure to measure everything more then once and asked if I trusted the person I brought along with me to check the measurements as well. It was quick and painless for the most part (you will feel more pain on the second piercing since you know what it’s supposed to feel like and your nerves have calmed down; Billy explains that to you). Billy will talk you through everything you need to know and will just talk to you to make you feel like you’re at home. I highly recommend Billy for your piercings. His prices are also affordable (I paid $40 for both earlobes including jewelry while other places wanted $80).The actual place is very clean and nice. Everyone is friendly as soon as you walk through the door. Once again, I just highly recommend Aces & Eights in it’s entirety.

This was an absolutely incredible experience! We did the My Body My Choice flash event for charity. It was so beautiful how transparent they were about donating ALL the money to the charity. They literally kept none for themselves. Its honestly surprising how anyone could complain about waiting or leave a bad review about it.Everyone was so pleasant and nice and accommodating. Ive been to plenty of flash tattoo events and this was by far the easiest and most pleasant experience. You can tell this is a group that truly cares about what they do, and for their customers. Being willing to partake in social justice and not just turn a blind eye? Thats hard-core.This business deserves all the support. You guys rocked!

Hands down the best place in Augusta for piercings and tattoos. The amount of love these people have for their craft is apparent in what they do and I would never go anywhere else in the area. Billy is an amazing piercer... I honestly feel more comfortable in his chair than a doctor’s 🤣. Everything is clean and everyone is friendly. Billy is the most experienced person in the area so go to him for all your piercing needs and a good time. He takes care in everything that he does and as long as you follow your aftercare instructions, you will never have a problem after seeing him after getting some cool new bling! Definitely go see Jake as well for all your tattoo ideas... the amazing work he comes up with will definitely be worth your while and you will forever have a literal piece of art on your body.

The inside of the shop is absolutely amazing and the other artists were so easy going. Excellent atmosphere and people. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

Went in for a consultation today. Everyone I interacted with is great. The studio is beautiful, and Gus who will be doing my tattoo in a week and a half seems super cool and very personable. Will update after the fact, but I expect the 5 star to stay.

Billy Knuckles did a GREAT job for me!I got plain earlobe piercings. I walked in, only waited a few minutes, and he was ready for me! He did a great job! I had my ears pierced a long time ago, but they grew in. He was going to put the piercings back where they were because I had been happy with them, but when he looked closer, he realized the old spots were a little bit off, so he corrected it for me.The parlor was really clean and professional. Billy was very nice! I discussed getting a future piercing in my ear to relieve migraines, which he was experienced with as well!I did a lot of research before deciding on him and Aces and Eights, and I made the right choice!I would highly recommend Billy at Aces and Eights on Broad St. Clean, professional, easy going and it was a wonderful price too!

Billy. Is. The. Best. Hands down. I went to a couple piercing/tattoo places in Augusta, but I felt unwelcome or like just “another customer, more money”. As soon as I walked in to Aces and Eights, I was greeted warmly and instantly got on with the staff, like old friends! Billy made me feel comfortable, cracking jokes and making fun conversation. The piercing itself was a breeze, hurt for only a moment as one could expect! His aftercare instructions were clear and concise. Definitely will be coming back for any piercing needs!

I went in for a consultation and she recommended a conch piercing and I love it!Also got the chance to meet Jake while I was there, and he made sure I was taken care of before I went back with Laney. I got my naval pierced today and Billy was fantastic! The overall atmosphere was super friendly and inviting. The entire thing only took about 20 minutes and the conversation was wonderful. The piercing itself was very well done and despite having extremely sensitive skin, there is little to no swelling or redness. This was hands down the best experience I’ve had for it being my first time! I got my nose pierced and the piercer Mr. Billy made me feel so comfortable and was very nice and funny! He is very good at what he does and will make sure you love whatever you get! It didn’t hurt at all and I absolutely love it! I will be returning as soon as I can because I only trust Mr. Billy! I want to share my experience with Billy because I’m very sad about what has transpired and feel the need to share my experience. I’ve been to Billy before and didn’t have a bad experience. However, 2 weeks ago, I came in with a friend to get my industrial done (and she got her belly button done). During the session, Billy said some unprofessional and very uncomfortable things to her, with me sitting in the room. It concerned me that he may say worse things to other women or make them as uncomfortable when they are alone with him. The piercing itself and the environment were not an issue, but Billy also didn’t give us any aftercare instructions or healing times (thankfully I knew from previous experience how to care for piercings). As the next week went on, the piercing became very aggravated, and I had to start an antibiotic to manage the infection. I also began to do some research and found out that I don’t have the ear anatomy for such a piercing. I am a little concerned that Billy didn’t seem to know/acknowledge that this may be an issue, especially since my ear was very quickly rejecting the piercing as many sources online said it would. I didn’t feel comfortable going back to let Billy check on what was going on, so I went to another local shop. The piercer immediately recognized that the piercing shouldn’t have been done based on my ear anatomy, and they told me that my ear would continue to reject the piercing and never heal. They also pointed out that he is not using the recommended jewelry (internally threaded is recommended but he was using externally threaded jewelry), which caused more damage to my ear when she had to remove the jewelry. My ear felt immediately better having the jewelry out, but I am very sad about the poor experience.I really like Aces and Eights. I think they’re a really cool shop and have great artists and staff, so it’s very disheartening that I feel so turned off from coming back. I want the best for the business because they seem like nice people. However, Billy seems to not be meeting the professional standards that I was lead to believe he had. He had such good reviews, and that brought me to the shop, but based on what occurred, I don’t want him to pierce me again.

I absolutely love this place! Everyone is so delightful, welcoming, and fun. Ive gotten a piercing done by Billy, and one, soon to be two, tattoos by Jake. Both are amazing people and really know how to make someone feel comfortable. Their work is on point and Ace and Eights is my favorite place in town.

Fourth shop I had checked out for my custom piece, and Im so glad I waited. The shop itself is very clean, all staff licenses clearly displayed, and house manager is on POINT if you have any questions about policy, scheduling, or artist/piercer recommendation. I had two sessions with Jake and it came out breathtaking! Both appointments were kept on time, he works at a steady pace, even handed (not heavy), and can hold a comfortable conversation without being distracted from the work. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for quality, detailed work with an artist who cares as much about their product as this shop does. Cant wait for my next piece!

I went in for an appointment with Vermillion and there are no words to express how extraordinary his artistry is. I have several tattoos and this one is by far my favorite!! I went in for an appointment with Maggie May, and had a wonderful experience! She was very professional, answered any questions I had, and her work is GORGEOUS. We walked in and were immediately greeted by friendly staff! They were extremely thorough and very professional. We had questions that were immediately answered and they even walked us through filling out the required form as well as verified our IDs before we went back to receive our piercings. The shop was very clean and the process was sanitary and sterile. I was very nervous about getting a piercing, but Billy (ig piercings by billy) talked me and my daughter through every step before and during the process. He made sure to make us feel comfortable and did not start until our nerves calmed. Billy was highly recommended by friends and I am so glad we listened! Got work done by Maggie May on 12/22/23. She made what I had going on on my arm look cohesive and I love it. Plus most of it was freehand which was. I got my first tattoo here last Thursday and I am beyond happy with it!Jake was my tattoo artist and he is, in whole, an amazing (and nice) human being. He walked me through the whole process and made me feel at ease the entire time!  My tattoo has deep emotional meanings and he was able to capture what I wanted and needed perfectly! About a year ago I went to Billy for an industrial piercing. That was a great experience. Back to present day, I went back to see if I could get my industrial repierced because I let the previous one close up. Billy was able to pierce right through the original piercing and it was seemless. Go to him for all of your piercing needs. He provides a comfortable environment and is fun to talk with the whole time. Highly recommended and great guy!

I took my 7 year old daughter to get her ears pierced. Billy did it for us and he was AMAZING. He took the time to explain everything to her (and me) before he started and he made a point to make my daughter feel safe and important. She had fun and was so happy with her new ear piercings. This is by far the BEST ALL AROUND Tattoo shop Ive ever been in and Ive been in shops all over Augusta Ga and SC(Anderson, Greenwood, etc). I have well over a dozen tattoos. The staff/ARTISTS were The Best of any shop Ive ever been in, extremely nice, did an awesome job helping me decide and they designed the perfect tattoo, and placement, the ARTIST focused on his work and the room was private with no disturbances, my tattoo turned out PERFECT. The overall look and feel of the shop was very nice, comfortable and everything was CLEAN and SANITARY. Prices were extremely good. I just wish I would have found this place sooner. This is where Ill be getting all my tattoo work done from now on and will encourage all my friends to join me.

Aces and Eights is by far the most welcoming tattoo shop I’ve experienced. The whole staff is extremely friendly and willing to help (hard to come by these days). My artist Jake went above and beyond in working with me to transform a mediocre tattoo I received somewhere else into an A+ amazing piece of art that I’m now proud to show off. Rob has done two of my tattoos now and both time he has been awesome. Both Rob and Gus are down to earth guys that do awesome work. They tell it like it is and will let you know if what you are wanting will work in the space you want it. Their shop is clean and has some awesome display pieces to check out while waiting. If you are looking for no BS artists then definitely go in and talk to them about what you want.

While visiting Ace, we walked in all excited to get our nose and cartilage pierced. The man at the desk was acting nice and cool when he brought us to the back he was at first talking to us about how he had piercings below the waist so we thought he was jokingly talking with us but the mood changed very quickly he became very frustrated with us about asking questions about where we would want to place the piercing. Once, we began to question him he began to curse us out and treat us poorly. He even threatened to kick us out. The piercer was Billy… We’re only here for the weekend and just wanted to do something fun! So unnecessary… But thanks anyways Billy!

Got my tongue pierced a couple weeks ago and it’s healing very well! The placement of the piercing keeps it from resting against my gum line, which I like. What Billy recommended that I do and don’t do has definitely worked for me and I fully recommend getting pierced here!

Aces and Eights very own PMU artist Judy Maxine is severely talented. She has given profession and talent a new name. I went to Judy to help me fix my previously destroyed micro bladed brows by another artist and she helped me decide on what I wanted done to my brows as well as educating me on all of my choices. Not only that she comforted me and made me feel comfortable and accepted. She’s not just an artist who does their job. She cares for her job and she cares even more for her clients. If you’re considering permanent makeup or want to be educated on your choices of permanent makeup, Judy Maxine is the one! I promise you, she’s amazing!

I had my eyebrows microbladed and shaded by Judy Maxine. She was on time, very friendly, and kept a clean booth. She is very professional and I appreciate the extra time she took to make sure I felt comfortable. I am loving the symmetry of the new brows and would highly recommend checking her out for your cosmetic tattoos.

My bestfriend and I received piercings today from Billy. I got a naval piercing on the top, and she got a naval piercing on the bottom. We were both alittle nervous but Billy made us feel extremely comfortable and cracked joked to help calm our nerves. It was quick and painless! I just got 10 piercings done in one sitting with Billy. He was able to get them all done in just over an hour, and was absolutely kickass! I had the best time chatting with him throughout the process, he’s such a blast. He continually made sure that I was OK before going to the next one, making sure I didn’t need any breaks in between. He does the best work, and worth every penny. I got my nose pierced, a surface tragus, tragus, two daiths, A stack, a snug, and three more holes going up my ears. No one does better work, or makes it as much fun. 10/10 would absolutely recommend

I went in for a septum piercing and was pierced by Billy. He was so sweet. I was nervous and couldn’t stop talking, and Billy joked with me and then I felt super comfortable. The piercing was quick and painless, for the most part. Billy is awesome!

My daughter just turned 18 today and has been waiting her Cartlidge pierced sent she was 12 years of age and I was not going to let her have it done until she turned 18. So we went here after calling around and checking different other locations this one Seemed Like it would be better to me for her to go to so I took her today and the guy that did that there was very nice very forward and We really enjoyed this place. We will be back. If anyone is looking for piercings or tattoos I would highly recommend this place.

I cant stress enough that Aces and Eights is your best option in Augusta. I have had Robert T. do all of my work since moving here and I have no complaints. I have lived in multiple countries and have been to a couple tattoo artists and Robert ranks amongst the top of them. REMEMBER: When you go to a tattoo shop you are entering a unique professional environment. 99% of artist have a weird personality and probably half are introverts so dont be offended if they choose not to carry on a conversation with you or they are flat out honest about how they feel. Oh yea, research the internet on tipping your artist!

At 18, I got my first tattoo here. Now, at almost 31, I’ve been back several times. Each time has been amazing! I’ve been going to Brandon, who’s not only tattooed me, but pierced me, as well. Like everyone in the shop, he’s very talented and very professional! I will not be going to anyone else any time soon!

I received a daith piercing from Billy. He was very professional and made me feel comfortable. Ive suffered from migraines since I was 12yrs old. Pretty irked with my experience with this shop. I found an artist someone from work recommended me and was told to message him on IG. Its been 3 weeks, no response, the message wasnt even read. The other day, I called the shop and was told hed be at work that day after 2, so I showed up at 3. The staff was nice and greeted me, shop was clean but when I asked about the artist I was literally told they have no idea when hes coming in, but he should be in that day. Pretty unprofessional response which contradicted what I was told only hours before. Waited another 30 minutes before leaving and staff tells me the best way to get in touch with him is through his IG. I told them I already did and they said oh well just try and catch him one of these days then.Im sorry, Im not driving 30 minutes every day to see if one of your employees will magically show up. Really unfortunate that poor stewardship is driving business out of Augusta.

I’ve had nothing but wonderful experiences at Aces and Eights. I’ve only had work done by Robert, he is an amazingly talented artist. He’s creative and very knowledgeable. His line work is impeccable and he can really put down some impressive color and shading. I’ve had work done at 3 other shops before I found Aces and Eights. Aces and Eights is now my forever tattoo shop.

I travel a lot. If I stay in a place for a few days I get a tattoo from the best artist I can find after doing a lot of research. If a city doesn’t have a remarkable artist with super clean lines capable of making a tattoo pop I just pass. All that said I zeroed in on the owner Rob right away. Luckily he had space on his calendar and squeezed me in. He was thorough, professional, exceptionally detailed and fast. I don’t remember the price but honestly money wasnt a consideration given the importance of my tattoo as it was pretty visible.

Brandon is definitely not for me as a piercer. He was very unprofessional-was on the phone moments before piercing my nostril which was clearly a personal call. put on gloves before taking the call and didnt change them so pierced me with a hand that touched an undoubtedly filthy phone. Asked me to pay beforehand- Ive had many experiences getting pierced and tattooed and never in my life have had an artist make me pay for the service beforehand. If I had known the quality of the work being done absolutely would not have tipped him as well. Just an overall veil of unprofessionalism as well- was very rude for no reason. I was not a wimp or rude or uncooperative (had even waited for him to come back to the shop for 45 minutes when the other man who worked there had said hed be back in 10) . I havent been tattooed here and probably never will be but Im sure the tattoo work is great, but absolutely not impressed with the piercing.

I went to Aces and Eights Tattoo based on a review from a good friend and am so glad I did. Ive had a few bad tattoo experiences, but Aces and Eights has been by far the best. Brandon did amazing work on my leg piece and people comment on it all the time. I couldnt be happier with the results and look forward to getting more ink.

Billy is so amazing! Walked me through the whole process and made the entire thing go super quick! Kept me distracted with a great conversation so I wasn’t too focused on the needle! I highly recommend going to him! Always super happy with the people and service at Aces and Eights!

Before I went to Billy I went to another piercing place and they said that I couldn’t get an industrial piercing and gave me a weird excuse so I came here and he said he was able to do it and did it perfectly. He was very nice and knew what he was doing. I will definitely be coming back here to get the rest of my piercings.

I placed a deposit in good faith expecting to get tattooed by Scotty B but when I showed up to my appointment he rescheduled. I texted him an hour before that I was heading there. He waited until I arrived to tell me that he has to reschedule. I live 40 minutes away. Also, im in the army and a father so I don’t always have time to drive 40 minutes away to get tattooed. I asked for a refund because as I said previously, im not always available to drive 40 minutes away to get tattooed. The shop owner told me that they don’t do refunds even tho it literally was not my fault that I had to reschedule. So I just scheduled another appointment for the following week. I texted Scotty B and asked what time I could show up the next week to get tattooed and he never texted me back. So now I’ve wasted 100 of my hard earned money because I thought that this was a professional establishment. If I could leave 0 stars I would. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Billy took one look at my tongue piercing and realized that I was having a pretty nasty reaction to the jewelry I’d had in previously. He fixed me up with jewelry that’s better suited for me, and gave me advice on caring for that piercing in the future. I don’t think I’ll go anywhere else for piercings or piercing concerns in the future

I worked with Maggie to do a chest piece and she was amazing!! She helped me come up and make me feel comfortable about the awesome design! I would 100% recommend talking to her the next time you come in! 😁😁

Robert is an amazing artist. Both my girlfriend and I got very large pieces done. Both took several sessions to complete. They turned out beautiful! I loved watching him bring to life the underwater sea scene on my GFs thigh. Roberts work is phenomenal. The shop is clean and professional. We will be going back for more work in the future.

Got my tounge and nose pierced tonight by the coolest man i’ve ever met. He’s a trip! Also, very professional. Made sure I was aware of what he was doing and also of what I would need to do once I left. He kept me laughing and I was pierced before I knew it. Definitely coming back for my next piercings.

Aces & Eights has been a shop Ive followed for years! They have some absolutely stunning work! I am so stoked about getting some more pieces when the time is right!! They always take the time out to do giveaways, and be active with the community on Facebook etc!!The ONLY reason they have negative reviews is because of the sore losers who didnt win these said giveaways! Not in love with the tattoo I received from Skylar, its not even close to symmetrical and the shading is darker on one side and in a completely different style. one side of the tattoo looks great, then the other side is just lacking detail. looks rushed.

I got my belly button pierced elsewhere and they gave me a piercing that was too short. They were able to switch my piercing out and give great care instructions. It was amazing service.

Got my daith peircing from Billy and I have to say the best experience Ive ever had. I actually loved that he pays attention to how you react to the peircing and gives you a second to breath before putting the jewelry in. This is something Ive never had some for me before and it made me feel way more comfortable and relaxed. Not gonna I will say its the most painful peircing Ive ever had but the most comfortable when it came to sleeping. Got this peircing to help with my migraines as I also take medicine for them but still get small ones from time to time. I can say YES this peircing does help. Ive already told many people that I would recommend going to billy for thier future piercings.

Billy pierced through my friend’s areola on one of her nipple piercings, and then so far from her nipple on the second one that it was nearly coming out. Also was rude to my friend and I when we walked in. Definitely never going here for piercings again.

Ok, so a few months ago I came to this shop (after trying many from the Augusta area) for a Fathers Day tattoo. After spending a few months of viewing everybodys work, I decided to choose Matt. This was without a doubt the best decision I have ever made regarding tattoos!!!! I gave him a theme and an idea that I had in my head and told him just to run with it. I show up the day before my appointment to view the drawing he came up with and WOW. I was blown away with how he captured what I wanted! I asked him a few questions, one regarding to make a small change to it. He answered all my questions, but told me in order to make the change I wanted, he would have to redraw it, so I told him never mind and dont worry about it ( the change I wanted was not a huge deal anyway). So I show up the next day to have it done (6/18/16) to find out he went ahead and redrew the tattoo for me anyway!!! That definitely showed me that this guy cares about his work and about the person that its going to be on forever. Over the next four hours, I watched him meticulously tattoo me, making sure every line was perfect! Once we were done, I looked in the mirror and was absolutely blown away with the finished work. Matt not only met but EXCEEDED my expections. I have an amazing tattoo that I can cherish forever. Everywhere I go, people compliment the tattoo and tell me how awesome it looks. I highly recommend this shop, and personally MATT!

Me and my sister were just there to get our noses pierced by Delaney. She was extremely professional and had an amazingly comfy and inviting environment.

I have went here three times. All times were decent service. I had to go once to get one fixed again from a previous session with him. I made another appointment with him and missed it. After that he wanted an outrageous amount every time to schedule. I tried discussing it with him to no results and then his wife (whom Im not even friends with in FB) posted on my page multiple times in a derogatory manner. His work is pretty good but their business practice is terrible.Edit: As you can see from the reply from the the owner I never said their work was bad and that the business practices were lacking. They follow up with and immediate attack of personal character as if they knew what I do day to day. I also said I missed an appointment so... This is proof of the way they treat customers. The post is still on my page somewhere so go find it for yourself. The amount asked for deposit was more than some of the works that I had previously received and way higher than the amount started in policies at the time. I always tipped very well and I even tipped when getting my work done by them repaired.I also as stated above did not mind making the deposit that their policies stated, but they wanted double everytime I wanted to schedule. This at the time was not in any policies that I had access to. If you want to state policies then they shouldnt change from situation to situation.As their reply stated about my feelings bring hurt, it is a tattoo shop, not a hospital or anything of stature. They are everywhere and good artist are plentiful. So to the owner, stop making it personal and putting your feelings out one the internet, your only making yourselves look like I stated.So in conclusion I do not believe anymore personal attacks should come from this establishment, I am not the one getting a review.Finally alot of the new reviews on here came from a post shared to friends and followers on Facebook, so none of the people who had bad experienced with this establishment will be showing up.Thanks for reading.

I had gotten a tattoo from Jake the owner of this establishment, he was very nice at the start of the tattoo then became very irritable and rude toward the end. Good artist but ruined the experIence.

Went in on a Wednesday with no appointment and no real idea of what I wanted. Robert worked with me and drew me up a beautiful piece. I absolutely love my tattoo and cant wait to go back and get it finished. :)

I went on Nov 9 to get a Daith piercing for my migraines. And Robert did an amazing job. Although I will admit I was skeptical about it bc nothing has worked to stop them. It’s now been over a month and I have been migraine free. Thank you Robert! This has been a blessing to a chronic migraineur! I plan to keep track and update on FB every month.

And i have to say gus was amazing he hand drew all of my letter in my bible verse and made me feel very relaxed. Amazing! In may 2009 my stepfather passed away from a motorcycle accident. I was already a client when matt did my pinkie promise on my forearms, and so i chose to go back and get my memorial tattoo of my stepfather incorporating his motorcycle club colors. Being in AIT at the time he definitely worked with me on time and price. The tattoo turned out beautiful. To this day, 6 years later the tattoo (as well as my pinkie promise he did) is still vibrant, gorgeous, and i still get compliments left and right. Matt skin thank you so much for helping me to honor my stepfather in the most beautiful way possible. Youre amazing! If im ever back in Augusta, this is a place i would definitely make a point to come back to. And if i meet any on getting stationed at ft Gordon, aces and eights is where i send them!

Tattoo artist was super rude and quoted a simple tattoo extremely high and estimated it to take longer than it shouldve. Went to Lucky 7 instead and even ended up my nips done too! All for cheaper too.
