Ive had multiple piercings done by Annie, all very fast and well executed, super easy to work with. Healing was so simple, never had any problems. Her placement is perfect!! Most recently had Jess do a thigh tattoo, was a dream! I will definitely be going back for another tat from her soon! She made the whole experience so relaxing and fun, took care of me and explained the whole process. Great music, really sweet and flexible to work with, just overall an experience Id do a million times over!!

I took my seven year old to Annie for her ear lobe piercings, we drove over an hour and I would gladly do so again! Annie was so patient and kind, explaining everything that was going on and giving my child the time needed to feel comfortable. My kiddo loved the shop and everything there was to look at, and cant stop talking about how cool and nice everyone was. All around a great experience, and I cant wait to go back!

I came in looking for a nose stud as I had lost mine, and I wanted to write a review. Even though I didn’t get anything pierced, the person working the front desk was the best. She helped me pick out an affordable/stylish option and was so kind/helpful- an amazing customer service experience. I struggle with being awkward at times, and she was so caring and made both me and my boyfriend comfortable. Love this place, and if I’m ever needing a piercing, I will come back!

Cannot recommend Crystal Moon enough! The owner and employees take great care in their community and their work. I originally went in for a conch piercing and while visiting I felt safe, clean, and healthy. Loved it so much I went back for a tattoo and had a wonderful experience! Both times my 6 year old came with me and the staff treated him to some photography and his own temp tattoos! They truly care about education, safety, health, community, and their patrons!

Wow!! Crystal Moon is a lovely shop, first of all, and the staff are incredibly friendly and are always willing to help out. I just got my first tattoo from Jess, and it turned out wonderfully! Didn’t hardly hurt at all. At first it was a little daunting to have to worry about the tattoo getting infected, but Jess explained how to take care of it so well that I’m not worried at all! I’m definitely coming back for my piercing and tattoo needs!

I went to Crystal Moon to get my first tattoo and I was blown away with the kindness and cleanliness of the shop. Jess did my tattoo and I was put as ease as she went through the process and the aftercare. Love supporting local business and these women!

The absolute best place for piercings in Bloomington in 2024. During my first couple years of college I steered clear of this place because of (unbacked) rumors of poor quality piercings…THIS COULD NOT BE FARTHER FROM THE TRUTH.DISCLAIMER: I am not making a comparative post to put down other places in town (which is why I’m doing it on this page and not theirs). I also am literally just a student and have no personal relation or loyalty to anyone at Crystal Moon and have only been going for the past year so I have no motivations. I am writing this review for the overly anxious and/or disabled body mod enjoyer who will over analyze every bad review for every shop in town to try to make the best decision- like me. I hope you will consider Crystal Moon.That being said, I don’t think it is being talked about enough but these rumors are actively being perpetuated BY other shops and piercers in Bloomington, and I have heard it first hand. It is my impression that because (I am pretty sure) some of the other shops have been here longer, they are threatened by the business Annie and her team bring in and think it is somehow acceptable or professional to make unbacked claims about the cleanliness or quality of Crystal Moon. I hope my story provides clarity of what, from the customer’s perspective, is really up with piercers in Bloomington.My previous piercing shop in particular (whose name I will omit) that is very highly rated drove me out, because despite the fact that they do provide decent quality piercings, they uphold a culture of exclusivity, elitism, and negativity. I was talked to as if I was stupid in situations where I wasn’t familiar with a specific kind of piercing or jewelry, belittled for dropping in without an appointment to pick up already ordered jewelry (after I had spoken on the phone with another staff to ensure that this was okay), and generally was looked down on for having body mods without being 100,000% invested in everything to do with the culture. As you can imagine this makes their customer service subpar and my piercing and shopping experiences with them became an anxious task. Because of this, I decided to take a chance on some other shops in town. Some of the lower rated shops had decent customer service and nice jewelry but based on actual experience of what I saw going into the shops, a generally lower standard of cleanliness so I never chanced getting any piercings with them.At Crystal Moon- Logan who is typically at the desk is personable, funny, and knowledgeable. I am a bit of an awkward/ socially anxious person but they have never failed to make me feel welcome and calm. Logan did my conch during their piercing apprenticeship and with Annie’s guidance left me with a rocking new addition.Annie has always been very professional, efficient, and realistic about what I can expect out of a piercing experience. I recently had Annie pierce my navel, she was thorough in her marking of the placement, as I have a bigger stomach so things shift around when laying down, standing up, etc. and we had to do a floating navel which can be a bit trickier. Later, I experienced some normal swelling and needed to switch to a larger bar. Annie and Logan switched this out for me at no extra charge for the jewelry. Additionally, I am disabled in many fashions and so sometimes my body doesn’t heal as quickly or as regularly as a typical person’s would. Despite my longer heal time and increased risk for complications, Logan has gone above and beyond in providing continued guidance for healing trial and error within my unusual circumstances.Ultimately, I have never heard anything explicitly rude or demeaning towards any clients, other shops, each other, or just in general from the staff at Crystal Moon. The staff of Crystal Moon maintain professional but personable attitudes, upholding high standards of cleanliness, safety, responsibility, personal conduct, and customer service.I plan to continue my business with Crystal Moon for all my piercing needs and you should too!

Annie did my nipples and they are uneven :/ one is in the right spot but the other one was pierced too high, causing all sorts of pain and issues. I’ve gotten second opinions from other piercers to confirm this is the case. She had to force the needle through and I knew something was wrong. Misled me on pricing for both the piercing and downsizing appointments. She also didn’t see me until close to an hour after our appointment time. Would not recommend and confused as to why people do recommend her, as I have heard many complaints throughout Bloomington

Great selection of high quality jewelry and expert care. Annie selected earrings to complement the drop earrings that were made by a local artist. I absolutely love how it all looked together!

Another individual recently gave Crystal Moon a bad review so I felt like I needed to respond with my own experience as a counter because I was there at the same time as they were and believe their review is unfair.Crystal Moon is clean, professional, and welcoming—welcoming to everyone. This is especially important to me as a disabled person because let me you a lot of places aren’t. So many places aren’t it would shock you if you were disabled.Now, it’s such a good shop, it’s often very very busy. If you do not have an appointment and just walk in you are going to have to wait a minute but no one is going to abandon and ignore you like the angry reviewer claims. I’ve never experienced that ever and all my piercings have been done here.The jewelry offered is top quality and great for people with metal sensitivity.You wanna talk about trust? Try being blind and letting someone pierce you. That’s trust. And that’s why I go to Crystal Moon.

I cannot say enough good things about Annie and Kae and the crew. Crystal Moon is one of the coolest shops Ive ever been in and they create this accepting atmosphere without sacrificing professionalism. My tatoos from Kae always come out exactly as Id hoped. She is always professional, clean, and her work is beautiful. And Annie has a knack for making you feel like the only person in the shop when you are in her chair. She was wonderful with my kids and did a great job on both mine and my daughters piercings. Jewelry is also TOP NOTCH.

Got tattooed by Jess and had a beyond phenomenal experience! She brought my vision to life and was super calming to an anxious tattoo seeker. I am now the proud wearer of multiple pieces by Kae, the amazing tattoo artist at Crystal Moon. When I say artist, I mean ARTIST. I have entrusted her with inking two highly personal pieces of permanent art on me, and she has exceeded my wildest dreams with both. I am also preparing to have Annie do several piercings after watching her professionalism and safety. I am a nurse and I am very selective about who I allow to put needles in my skin. Annie will be my first choice always. She is in control of her process from sterile procedures to working with the finest jewelry crafters to make each experience safe, personal, unique, and the highest quality. This shop is my absolute favorite place, and I feel like Im visiting friends, not just exchanging services.

Annie made my piercings quick and painless! The shop itself is absolutely beautiful and everyone was so welcoming.

Ive had such a great experience, each time Ive been to the shop! From the very first time when I came in to get my tooth jewels, to when my fiance and I took our daughter in to get her ears pierced for the first time! Everyone is so warm and inviting. But also, very professional and so knowledgeable in thier craft....being the owner of my own shop, I can honestly say from experience that these ladies know thier stuff! Annie is the best piercer I have been to! I have had my nose pierced by different piercers in the past(3 times) and this was the ONLY successful nose piercing out of all 3 I have gotten. Her apprentice is awesome too! Great job ladies! ❤️ Professional, quick, safe, helpful, and knowledgeable! ❤️

This is by far the best tattoo and piercing shop in Bloomington! Clean, fun and the decor can’t be beat.I just had the most pleasant tattoo experience of my life! Jessica is a newer tattoo artist, coming from Chicago, and she is phenomenal. She gave me pillows for comfort and has such a calm and gentle vibe. Everything was structured, orderly and clean. She has a light hand, good conversation skills (or no convo if that’s your thing) and is so talented! Run, don’t walk to book with her!!

I’ve been going here for a couple years, I’ve gotten 13 piercings here that have all healed beautifully, which can’t be said for piercing at other shops in Bloomington I’ve gone to. The staff is incredibly and extremely respectful of my pronouns . If u want a professional piercing by someone that u want to heal well, go to Annie. She will make sure the anatomy is right for the piercing and she’s professional, the shop is always clean. I can’t say enough about the quality of their work.

Logan did an amazing job with my lobe piercings! Gave me good aftercare instructions, great placement, and everything was very clean. The vibes from the shop and everyone in it are immaculate! If youre considering getting an apprentice piercing from Logan I couldnt recommend it more:)

Ive been a patron of both Annie and Kae for years and have never been disappointed. The shop is clean, welcoming, professional, and reliable. Annie is fantastic at explaining the piercing process, calming nerves, and providing a realistic perspective at what piercings are and arent feasible for your personal anatomy. She is also so skilled with kids. Kaes artwork is absolutely beautiful and she has always been able to thoroughly capture my ideas in her custom pieces. I cannot recommend Crystal Moon enough!

There are no words to describe how much I love this shop, and specifically my artist Jess! I got my first tattoos from her when she was local to me. Once she made the move to this amazing shop I knew I’d be road tripping in the future. Jess takes the time to really make sure you have a tattoo that not only looks amazing, but will continue look wonderful on you for years to come. She always take the time to make sure that things are sized and place exactly right. I have both black line as well as color and she easily rocks them both! If trying to decide where to get a tattoo- I hope this review makes it super easy!

I went in for a tattoo from Jess and could not be happier with the experience. She is amazing and was very obviously invested in ensuring I got the exact art I wanted, right down to the color palate. I cannot recommend her enough if youre looking for a modern style tattoo. 11/10 recommend. The front desk/shop ladies were helpful and nice as well.

I had such a great experience at Crystal Moon Body Arts and with Annie the Impaler. The shop is clean, inviting, and well decorated. The staff are all super friendly and make you feel comfortable. Annie gave great care instructions and the service was quick and easy. I will definitely be returning for any future piercings!

My go-to piercing studio in Bloomington. Great selection of jewelry and if they don’t have it, they can probably find it and order it. And the vibes in there are unmatched. I’ve done several lobes, flats, an orbital, and even opened an old industrial back up there and they’ve all healed beautifully.

Annie is the only one I’ll allow to stab holes in my body! She’s the best at what she does, the shop is super cool and clean, and the selection of jewelry is amazing 🤩

This is my go to shop in town for face piercings because I know the staff know what they’re doing, I know that they care about their customers, and everyone is so kind and welcoming. (Plus- the aesthetics are everything. Best place to take post piercing selfies. ) Highly recommend for anyone who isn’t sure where to get their next piercing/tattoo done. These guys are fantastic!

Very cool shop! Love the vibe and all of the witchy items they have in their shop that you can purchase. Employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. They explained everything very well. They have many jewelry options to choose from for your piercing. I went in to swap out a hoop for a cute little moon in my tragus. It was a much needed upgrade! I will definitely be back!

I unfortunately did not have a good experience at this shop. I went here because my nose ring fell out over night and I needed a replacement. The person helping me pick out jewelry was very helpful, they did not have the gauge of ring I wanted but she advised I get a cheap stud to preserve the piercing and then I can find a shop that has what I really wanted. I picked out a $35 stud.The piercer was quick and the shop was hygienic and she put the new stud in my nose. When we got to checkout I asked her if I would be able to downside to the gauge I had before without issue. Very rudely, she told me that no reputable piercer would use that gauge. Thats fine if SHE wouldnt pierce with that gauge but the fact is that Ive had this nose piercing for 10 years at this gauge and worked with excellent piercers in bigger cities who advised me about the risks. The rude blanket statements without asking any additional questions rubbed me the wrong way.When checking out she told me my total was $48 and there would be an additional charge to use a CC. I had $50 so I gave it to her, which then she added an additional charge for not having an appointment which took me over my cash amount and added the CC fee.Im still at a loss on how the total cost for putting a $35 stud in my already pierced nose totaled to $63. Im not sure if I was scammed or this is usual practice. I dont see this language for additional fees listed on her website.I would advise asking a lot of questions before proceeding with this shop so you dont end up confused and feeling scammed at the checkout. Otherwise the shop is nice and clean and the jewelry selection was good. Clearer language on the website and better customer service could go a long way.

Wonderful experience! Booked a consult based on my anatomy and previous piercings, and open to recommendations for a new ear piercing placement. They have a whimsical and quality jewelry selection, plus some more simple/affordable pieces and an in-house anodizer. Logan (piercing apprentice and tooth gemmer) gave me recommendations on placement, and pulled some jewelry for me to consider that really matched my style and personality. Both Logan and Annie really listened to my considerations towards placement such as lifestyle changes, healing commitment, aftercare requirements, and future plans for my piercing curation. They also understood my concerns as a chronically ill person and a fainter, and treated me with the utmost care and empathy during the service. I decided on a conch, and chose the most gorgeous snake jewelry that ended up sitting PERFECTLY in my anatomy. The piercing itself was quick and ran smoothly, and I couldn’t be happier with it!! It’s so important to me as a customer to feel heard and well-informed throughout the whole process, especially when it comes to body modification, and Annie and Logan really blew me away. We all chatted for awhile after the piercing since there weren’t appointments soon after mine, and they were so happy to show me the variety of decorations in the rooms and merchandise available at the store. Although the service areas were impeccably clean, sanitary, and private while still maintaining the stylish flair of the store, the rest of the store was beautifully decorated with that unique and witchy vibe that the shop’s name suggests. Everything from the smell (caramel apple candle with hints of incense) to the decor (handmade art, antiques, and small business merchandise) made the experience here absolutely lovely. I adore supporting small, local, woman-owned businesses, and Crystal Moon is not only a great place to do that, but also clearly uplifts the community around them with the partnerships and stocks they take on! I absolutely love the staff! Ive had several piercings and tattoos over the years but Ive never had an experience like that! Go see Annie and Logan! Ive now had two nose piercings and two ear piercings plus several jewelry change out. Both piercers so gental handed!I wish Annie was a piercer 18 yrs ago when I first got my belly button pierced. I did not/do not have the anatomy for it. I was super hard headed and got it peirced three timrs!!! All three times it was rejected! Had I seen Annie to begin with, I wouldnt have this hideous scar!Moral of my story, listen to the professionals when they say a piercing WONT work.

I had searched for two years for a place I trusted to pierce my daughters, but was not happy with what I saw until I found Crystal Moon. What made me choose them was the quality I saw displayed and the vibe I got from the shop. Booking was simple and staff was very responsive. When we arrived, we were welcomedand assisted through the onboarding process. After the piercing my daughter was given helpful instructions pertaining to aftercare. The aesthetics are so enchanting we didnt want to leave!

Annie and Kae are the best. The new shop is amazing and so welcoming. I find myself just hanging out after my appointments because the vibe is so bomb. Annie is a perfectionist and has made sure every one of my piercings look beautiful on my anatomy. And Kae makes every tattoo an experience while making you feel so important. I have followed Annie for 10 years now for any piercing I am interested in. I am so excited to see her landing her own shop!! I have seen great work come from Kae and have scheduled my first tattoo, with her for March. I am so glad these ladies have found one another and embarking on this great journey together. Annie did a great job with re-piercing my ear. It is the 3rd time Ive had to get it re-done after its filled in or become infected. I knew the earring Annie used was properly sterilized and the gem stone is so pretty! I also appreciated how honest she is in order to care for the customer. A previous piercer told me I could take out my earring and put a different one in within 2 weeks of my piercing. Annie let me know I had been misguided and explained the timeline of piercings and the importance of taking care of them.I have one tattoo by Kae that is small, but she also did excellent work. I had it done almost a decade ago and it still looks good.Rynn was also super friendly!Crystal Moon, the shop itself, is a comfy and welcoming space for all folks. I love the art and vibe and I look forward to returning if I want another tattoo and/or piercing! Highly recommend!

My friend and I got some piercings done by Annie, and let me tell you we both absolutely love them! The store was absolutely gorgeous too!!I’ve been to a piercing/tattoo shop before I found hers, and I never felt as comfortable and relaxed as I did when I was in her shop! Incredible experience! I went last week with my sister and the folks at the shop were INCREDIBLY helpful from start to finish. The consultation about the piercings and jewelry we wanted was the best Ive ever had. They were very knowledgeable about the jewelry they sell and about what piercings would look good and work with our anatomy. Not to mention, the vibes were immaculate. I’ve gotten 15 piercings from Annie, and ALL have healed perfectly. She’s amazing. Before I found her, I had tried at least 8 other piercers and none come even close to Annie in skill. I’ve followed her before she opened up her own place, and have wanted her to branch off for a while. I’ve never been so excited for a piercing studio to come to life as I am with Crystal Moon. She’s professional, educated about her craft, and great at what she does. There’s beautiful jewelry for all price ranges; and she’s worth it every penny.Kae is another top notch professional. I’ve gotten two tattoos from her (so far), and they’re both beautiful. One was fully her own design, the other was a small idea of mine that she brought to life. She’s safe and professional. Her floral work is amazing! The only reason I only have two tattoos from her is because of my wallet, but I assure you she’s worth EVERY penny.

I came to Annie for help with a new piercing done elsewhere. I had gone to a place that did walk ins. I was rushed in and out with no education. I ended up damaging my piercing quite a bit. Annie took me in and fixed me up. She is so kind and took the time to explain everything I needed to know. The selection of jewelry she has in her shop is AMAZING!!! While all of this is wonderful, the cozy vibes bring it full circle. This is the kind of place you dont want to leave. You feel welcomed and wrapped in warmth. I cant wait to go back!!!

Amazing shop! Very welcoming and clean! The vibe of the whole shop is simply incredible! I had a dermal removal that took less than 5 minutes and was virtually painless thanks to Annie!

I never leave bad reviews, but I was genuinely upset by this. Tattoo Artist Jess couldn’t consistently keep in touch with me to set up an appointment. Had to reach out multiple times before she’d respond, and could never get back to me in a time efficient manner. Especially upsetting since there aren’t many women owned shops like this in Bloomington. Really wanted an artist I know I could be comfortable with, but don’t even consider reaching out. Just a waste of time!

My daughter and I have gotten a few piercings from Annie. She takes time to talk to you and is as gentle as possible. We will definitely be coming back.

Jessica did an amazing memorial tattoo on me for my mom. It was my first tattoo and she was patient and kind. She made my nerves calm and the tattoo itself didn’t even hurt that bad. Definitely plan on returning and having her do my future tattoos. 10/10 recommend.

Annie is one of the most wonderful and creative people I know. She answers all of my questions and is kind and honest about what it will look like when I push her about breaking the rules for the sake of my aesthetic, and then offers space for my pouting tantrums when what I want doesnt work out. I highly recommend her for your first or fifth or one hundredth piercing and I cant wait to come back in for work from Kae, who said it best during my latest visit: no one is as cool as Annie!

I LOVE Annie’s work! I got my nipples pierced here and I didn’t have to worry about privacy because she had it all ready with the private window and room. I will definitely be back for more piercings and tattoos!!! Highly highly recommend this women owned business.

I’ve been getting piercings and tattoos from these ladies, separately, pretty much their entire careers. Got my first Madison done by Annie about 20 years ago and Kae was apprenticing my first tattoo artist back in (I think) the 90’s. They do amazing work, and treat customers like family, which is why I have so many more projects to work on with them. Even when I lived out of state I would plan a trip back here around their availability to get me in for some work. I love that their paths have got them under the same roof.

The experience was very posisitive. The place has really good vibes and the people are easy to talk too and laid-back. They take very good care of their customers and make the experience enjoyable even if they are running a little behind. I would 100% recommend and definitely go back. Not to mention they put a lot of effort into the placement of the piercings and are extremely symmetrical. They made me feel genuinely cared for and safe.

Annie is the only person I will let do my piercings! She gets the perfect placement every time, her jewelry selection is amazing, and the healing process afterwards goes so smooth! On top of her 20+ years of experience, she still continuously keeps up on any new techniques and goes to conferences to stay up to date. Best lady around.

Annie is one of the most knowledgeable piercers i have ever met. She walks through the whole process, from jewelry to the actual piercing to aftercare. She absolutely makes sure that you are comfortable with everything before anything. Out of the many piercers I have met, I have not been as comfortable as I am with Annie. Her pricing is very reasonable, with high quality jewelry. If she does not have what you might be looking for, she does her very best to get it. As of this day, she has not failed to locate any jewelry I have wanted. Now also keep in mind, its not just myself, but a few of my family members as well that Annie has pierced. None of my family members have had a complaint about Annie. Furthermore, the tattoo artist in the shop, Kae, is just as down to earth as Annie. Walks you through the process of the tattoo, makes sure placement is in the correct spot, the design is exactly how you want it, and when she tattoos, she is extremely light handed. Of course, it is a tattoo, there is some pain involved, yes, but her technique is mastered enough that it is as painless as possible. I can not wait to be in either Annies or Kaes chair again. These ladies know their craft and make sure you are extremely comfortable from the time you step in the door until the time you walk out the door, and it doesnt stop there, if you have questions after the fact, they both are extremely helpful. When you walk in the shop, you are not a dollar sign, you are family. Thats the whole vibe, welcome home family.

I myself have been a local piercer in the area for 24 years having trained under the late David Owens. Annie is a Master in her art, the work I have seen from her is amazing. I recommend everybody to Annie as I no longer pierce for a living. The one negative review on here sounds a lot like another local piercer who claims to have been trained by Mike Sims at Skinquake back in the 90s I am personally friends with Mike and contacted him asking him about her and he said he never trained this person or even heard of her. So yeah definitely do your homework. I can vouch for Annie’s training as we both came from the same studio just different mentors but the standards were always extremely high. If you want it done right the first time go to Annie. To the negative piercer on here I had to fix the PA you did you didn’t place correctly for stretching or to prevent pinching between it and the Ampallang.

Me and my 5 friends came 2 hours away to get tattoos from Rolly who’s based out of Indy. Annie had a beautiful and clean shop and Rolly did a great job on the tattoos. Dope experience!

Annie and Kae are both AMAZING! I will not go to anyone else. Everytime I do I end up regretting it. Kae has done almost all of my tattoos. Annie has pierced my daughters ears and impressed me with how patient and calming she was with my girl. Highly recommend either of these 2 ladies!

DO NOT GO FOR WALK INS.we went for a walk in at 1, and left at 4:40 with no piercing. We were going for an eyebrow piercing and were told a few hours so We sat in our car due to lack of seating and came back in around 3 to ask about our spot, which we were then told a few more hours. We came back at 4 and sat there to wait for my piercing. There were only two active piercers, and only one tattoo artist from what we saw in all those hours. They said they were going to get lunch, but didnt tell us how long the breaks would be. we finally overheard them saying their break was an HOUR and they were going to take another hour to finish half the list. These walking ins were advertised on facebook for their 2nd anniversary. their shop overwhelmingly stunk, and a lot of the designs or merch was cheesy and overpriced. DO NOT GO FOR WALK INS.

Ever since i discovered Annie, i will go where she goes! I live two hours away but always make it a point to go to her for all my piercings. She’s very professional and knows what she’s talking about. I trust her with all my piercing needs🤩🤩

So i have gone here twice. Once when it originally opened to get my septum done. When i arrived at the time of my appointment, she had only just started the appointment before me. I waited more than 45 minutes to get pierced. this afternoon i came to buy a new septum ring because my current one i lost a ball. I could have been in and out in under 5 minutes. She advertises walk in piercings. i should be able to walk in and buy a septum ring.she didn’t talk to me at all just said she needed a few minutes. I ended up waiting for half an hour before walking out. i saw her many times before walking out and at no point did she acknowledge me or ask hey what did you need to buy. Instead she helped people after me, i would be ok with that had she told me how long she would need. but instead she just started talking with them.in addition at my first appointment she was selling white sage(a closed indigenous practice) and she has a lot of culturally appropriate art and even dream catchers on the wall(clearly not native made). Go somewhere else if you want your appointment time honored.Eta: i also forgot that when you go to make an appointment to shop she charges a 15$ deposit. but doesn’t have the jewelry on her website. i’m not putting a deposit down to shopETA (again): clearly the owner didn’t fully read. i had a negative experience both times i’ve been there and my review reflected both. If you go to this shop she will be at least 30 minutes behind(during this “lunch break” she was finishing a piercing. no one was asking her to work without a break. she can’t manage her time. she really needs 45 minutes minimum for each appointment instead she does a half hour and is constantly behind.) In addition, my complaint is not waiting it’s lack of communication. Before helping the family she could say”hey i’m gonna get them set up make sure they know what they want(prices are not shown in the case) and then i can check you out.” Keep in mind she kept saying she just needs a few minutes. I didn’t know what was going on and i could still hear her talking to them as i left. she was not close to being able to help me as she claimed in her response.Also she seems to think i don’t know what a deposit is. the reason why requiring a deposit to shop is crony is because then there’s the expectation you will buy something, which is fine if you had some idea of what the shop has but without an online inventory or being there before you might not like anything. But because you put down a deposit and have a dedicated appointment, there’s pressure to buy. at every other shop you can walk in to buy.Notice how she also didn’t address the rampant cultural appropriation in her shop. clearly she can’t fully read, but if she were native she would have said so in her response. she would have shown why it’s ok for her to sell, but shes not. She’s profiting off of native culture and spirituality.
