Had an awesome experience! They were able to get us in last minute for a special Father’s Day gift. Roy did an amazing job on doing matching tattoos for my dad and I. He took extra care with my dad as it was his first tattoo. The whole staff was very welcoming! They had good tunes playing and a very clean shop!! Will definitely be back 👍🏻

Just got a fantastic tattoo done. Harley is awesome. I was wanting a memorial tattoo of my dog, but with vibrant colors and life to it. He understood exactly what I was going for and really adapted the reference pictures I gave. He didnt just make a dog, he made MY dog. He was also friendly, efficient, thorough, and a good conversationalist to boot (I dont find it easy sitting in one place for hours). I cannot recommend this place enough. Everyone was so great to deal with, and the girl who made my appointment wasnt just friendly and helpful, but seemed well informed on the specialties of the artists, so she helped me get set up with the best match. Ill be going here for all my ink, and you should, too.

I want to start off by giving a huge thank you to my guy Chad! I came to Illinois Tattoo Company completely frustrated and defeated with work I had done on my sleeve by an artist at a different shop. Immediately upon consulting with Chad, I was treated with nothing but the upmost respect and professionalism. He laid out a clear cut plan and then did a phenomenal rework of my sleeve! I cant thank him enough for the amazing job he did and for giving me the excitement for my sleeve back. Whenever it is time for my next tattoo, Illinois Tattoo Company is where I will be!

My husband got his first tattoo with Roy yesterday and I can’t say enough great things about the experience. The facility is so beautiful AND clean. Was recommended to this lovely tattoo shop the experience was cool. I ended up getting a hand tattoo they never once said mentioned that my touch up would be dam near that the same price of my original tattoo I have never paid for a tattoo touch up before and I have many I’m not saying I did expect it to be free but dam!!! The same price of the original. I understand it’s a hand tattoo so is gone to wash but I had only had it for about a month never again what a shame because I was planning on getting more work done but I’m cool yall take care they have to be paying for reviews or something

Chad did an amazing job on my tattoo. Gave me exactly what I asked for and then some. He added some small personal touches that I absolutely loved. The shop itself looks great and is a nostalgic tattoo shop. Chad was super patient even when I didn’t sit well at times and gave me an amazing tattoo. Very clean and very professional.

The absolute premier tattoo shop! I’ve been worked on by the owner Chad a couple times. Both at a tattoo expo in Rochester NY, where I live, and a road trip to Bloomington to visit the shop. This past convention, I waited way too long to book Chad, which he was booked solid, and he suggested one of his other artists, Josh Meyers. Josh was absolutely INCREDIBLE! His detail is ON POINT! I couldn’t have been happier for the recommendation, and I hope Josh sees this! My son was super happy as well! If you are looking for a top notch place, look no further!!!

Absolutely PHENOMENAL work by Andrew (@enigmatic_tattoo). Not only was he super funny, friendly, and to the point, but as it was my first tattoo he was super patient and answered all of my questions. All of the artists and associates here bring such an amazing vibe and it is a super clean place. I am absolutely impressed by Andrews work and so grateful to have such a masterpiece on my arm now!Also, I did not get her name but the lady at the front desk who helped me schedule my appointment and consultation was so very friendly and she was also amazing at answering my questions. She really helped me be so much less anxious about the process.Worth every penny!

I’ve been to a lot of tattoo shops but my experience at this one was one of my favorites! I got some flash done by Megan and the whole process from start to finish was so smooth. I love my little scorpion tattoo so much and will definitely be recommending Megan to my friends.

I get all my tattoos done at itc. Roy is one of my favorite artists to go to but they are all friendly and amazing. The tattoo showed below was done by the apprentice Megan. This was one of her first 5 tattoos. She did a hands down amazing job. Better than some artists that have been tattooing for years. I highly recommend her. She is currently doing 5 more free tattoos. To start her tattooing experience. If you are interested stop by the shop. You won’t regret it :)

Chad did an amazing job taking the lace pattern on my veil and turning it into such a beautiful tattoo! The place is clean and everyone is so friendly - I had a great experience all around.

When you first pull up to the shop, you see it is tucked away into the building. You open the doors to a long set of stairs. As you climb the stairs, you feel the adventure beginning. When you open the door, there is so many cool things to see. The walls are covered in art. Theres a bridge to your right and a giant skeleton. Even a shop full of Tshirts and other cool swag! Youre greeted by a friendly woman at the counter, Charlie, and several of the artists of the shop. Youre taken back to your artists station for your tattoo and the magic begins!I was lucky enough to get a tattoo by Megan, an apprentice who is just starting her journey on tattooing people. She did a great job and I was happy to have been a learning experience for her! I cant wait to see her skills and talent grow! Shes already awesome and accommodating and a great artist. Her mentor, Chad, checked up on us frequently throughout the process and was very respectful and offered advice to both his apprentice and myself.Overall, the shop felt like a fun place to be, and the staff all felt like they were a family. Everyone was positive and supportive of each other. In other shops Ive been to, Ive seen artists be rude to each other or even to clients. Not here! I felt like I was welcomed immediately! If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would! Ill definitely be returning!

When I came into the shop for a Halloween special drop in event, all of the staff were super friendly and welcoming. They were helpful and patient when I got lightheaded and needed a little break. Josh was fast and a did a great job. I had a wonderful first visit and look forward to coming back in the future. I highly recommend this shop!

My daughter and I were getting mother / daughter tattoos and Yes......it was my first tattoo and I was a bit nervous! Walter worked with us on the design and the entire process was very professional and quality.

Megan did an amazing job with my tattoo and helped me through a little faint that i had along the way. Very patient and sweet and she has BRILLIANT work.

I had an appointment at 12pm. Steven didn’t take me back until around 1:30. He spent the entire time I was waiting drawing up the sketch. He clearly forgot this appointment that was scheduled on 10/7. He worked for a little over an hour to do an outline of a beach scene. He charged me $500 for the full 3 hours I was there which included the hour and a half I was waiting. The outline looks fine but it was NOT worth $500. This was a very disappointing experience. I will be going elsewhere to get the color/shading done.

We have visited a few times and every time we walk out the door happy. They are so great to squeeze you in when you want something done. We love Roy and recommend him every time we recommend Illinois Tattoo Co.

I am so glad I chose this shop for my full sleeve. Andrew has been an amazing artist to work with! He takes pride in his artwork & truly cares about his clients vision. My wife came here to clean up old tattoos and add a couple more. The staff did an incredible job is making her feel comfortable, the artist closely listened to what she wanted and quoted her options of different sizes ect. During the work, he made sure she continued to be comfortable through the process. Very impressed with the facility, staff and the final product.

It was my 1st time getting a tattoo. I chose this place as it had great reviews. I visited the shop and booked an appointment. The staff walks you through the process very professionally , right from the booking to aftercare. I knew what design I wanted to get. Andrew did my tattoo and I must say he did a wonderful job. The place was neat and clean , in line with the pandemic guidelines. Very relaxed atmosphere and Andrew was very patient and gentle. It may seem pricey but they give you your moneys worth. I am definitely coming back here for more. Great job , guys!

I was very much looking forward to trying this place out, heard so many great things. Unfortunately, my meeting with the artist was less than pleasant, seemingly refusing to educate and even mocked other tattoos I have, and it was all done while he was working on another customers tattoo. When I said I no longer wanted to move forward with this, the representatives were less than sympathetic and refused to return my deposit. I didnt even get to see any proof that any concept work had been done to justify keeping it, so this ended up an expensive waste of time on my part. I think everyone here is immensely talented, but I cannot recommend if you are getting your first tattoos.

Favorite tattoo shop by far. chad is an amazing artist and makes the process as easy as possible. front desk staff, kayla, is super awesome and helpful as well. couldn’t be happier with the tattoos i’ve gotten at this shop. hope to be back to see y’all soon!

For a tattoo virgin I could not have picked a better place to get a tattoo. Chad Ramsay was so patient, funny, and kind. All the employees were so nice and I loved the relaxed atmosphere. Everything was clean and inviting! His line and shading skills are off the chart amazing! Im already looking forward to my next ink with Chad!

Chad Ramsay does great work, he also explained some thing’s I wanted with size and body placement how it wouldn’t work like I wanted it too and we came up with better ideas that turned out great! Ive been to two artists here so far, and they are dripping with talent! Eddine did amazing with a small, simple piece I came in wanting, his eye for detail brought my little flower beyond my expectations. Maelin blew me away with the love and skill she put into a much larger, more detailed piece. Looking forward to coming back!

I recommend this place to everyone. I have friends from the Chicago area that drive down to get ink done here. Good pricing considering the quality youll get. Harley is beyond excellent, but looking at all their portfolios they all do incredible work. If your trying to figure out where to get your ink done at, pick this spot and youll be happy you did.. Im a firm believer you get what you pay for and I wont be going anywhere else but here

I couldnt have asked for a better experience durring my visit. Chad was my artist. This was my very first tattoo, and I am happy with the care and time that was put into my tattoo and educating me on taking care of it afterwards. Wait times for tattoos here are average (booked 2 months in advance), and the price was very fair. I highly recommend this place. I hope to be back again soon.

I went in April to get a big piece done that was some what out of my comfort zone & was so nervous, but Harley did a fantastic job! I couldn’t be more happy with the way it turned out! I got my first tattoo last week. The staff was super friendly and answered all my questions! The facility is super clean and professional! The fact that the set up for my tattoo took longer than my actual tattoo was great! They cleaned everything off and used a new needle and everything. Knowing that, I will return for another tattoo sometime soon! ☺️

I have been to see Steve McClintock for two different pieces and I have been impressed by the quality of his work both times.Recently my husband and I went I for a couples tattoo and Steves design was more than either one of us hoped for. We will be going back to Steve for all future work.An appointment was necessary, but I got in pretty quickly. Cost was fair for the quality of work. The place was very clean.Would recommend this shop for anyone seeking a tattoo in the Bloomington-Normal area.

Had a great experience yesterday having a dragonfly tat fixed that was done previously at another shop. Worked with Walter and Chad. They provided me with options, sketched out new designs and discussed what would and wouldnt work with the original tattoo. Chad finished out the new design and new tat for me. I left with a smile on my face and really happy with my new tattoo.

After watching my friend spend a week in the hospital due to infection and having an experienced tattoo artist point out all the deep lacerations done on not only that tattoo but all her previous ones, I would recommend your random kitchen artist over Harley.

I have several tattoos done from here and they are all great quality. I enjoy going in and talking with the staff. The setup is great for if you have a pal going with you, they can watch and talk to you while your work is getting done. Can’t wait to get more done!

I got my first tattoo here and I couldnt have been happier with the result. The staff are very friendly, professional, and talented. I would highly recommend this parlor to anyone in the area looking for a well done tattoo.

So overall it was an alright experience, I just felt like just another person in her day. I had Maelin as my tattoo artist and got a sakura blossom tree going up my arm. The tattoo had a lot of meaning to me but she didnt really seem to want to know about me or my tattoo and what it was to me. She just wanted me to sit down and get it I understand that some people have off days but overall it just kind of hurt my experience. In the crux(?) inner elbow part of my arm there are some blowouts in the 2 tree branches that go through it and there was some trauma to one of the petals that was a pain as it healed. At the end it really didnt look like the style I was going for. Not that it was a bad tattoo at all and nothing against her as a tattoo artist. I like it, I just dont LOVE it ya know?

Ive been to 3shops in town this one is the best so far. Walt did my cover-up and I Love It!! He was professional, nice, and welcoming. Will be setting up another appointment soon.

Staff was great . But the quality of this tattoo is not there. It is not centered on my arm there are blowout in the shading. I was really let down by this tattoo. I’m going to have to go and get it fixed up because of the bad line work

Illinois Tattoo Company is a nice clean shop. The artists no matter who you get to do your tattoo are professionals. They will help you with designs and you will get a better tattoo than you thought possible. Chad Ramsay has done 3 Tats for me and with his eye for design he helped me understand what would and wouldnt look good. I have been to other shops in town and no one will put ink on me but Illinois Tattoo.

Rude staff, was quoted one price over the phone and when my husband went in for the tattoo, the artist copped an attitude and told it would cost him $140 dollars than we were quoted for a 3 inch tattoo in black ink. Would definitely not be returning for future tattoos nor would recommend to friends and family.

Turbo did some awesome work on a small back piece. As per normal I supplied the sketch of my piece, and Turbo ripped into it and a few days later I am the proud owner of a very original and colourful piece!Great stuff thanks Turbo. I will be getting a few more pieces from you for sure.

Got an AMAZING cover up here. Chad was excellent and I’m definitely coming back for my next tattoo. The work is easily some of the best in this area, if not the best.

Worst experience, waited over an hour and a half in line, in the cold for the tattoo event, and then two people came out and told us that they were at capacity and would not be able to tattoo any more people. Took my daughter cause I thought it would be something fun we both could do together. The event posted on fb never stated a capacity limitation, nor did it say any where that only the first 150 would get tattooed. VERY POOR PLANNING+ VERY POOR EVENT DESCRIPTION MADE FOR A VERY BAD DAY. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN FOR ANYTHING.

Neat shop. I made an appointment only so will update once the work is done.... OK, editing post 2 weeks later as the work is done! Harley did incredible! Great lines, perfect colors!

Went in on a sunday and wanted to see if they had any openings.....they did not....no big deal...when i started talking about putting a deposit down the guy at the front desk really didnt want look at any designs and really didnt seem interested in setting up a future appt. Super disappointed because I have heard so many great things about the artists here.

All the guys there are great. I personally go to harley and hes always on point. Also the shop itself is amazing from the setup to the decor.

I need my tattoo fixed/worked on. The guy took one look at it was like I dont know, needs alot of work. Then made sure to tell me how much it costs like I couldnt afford it. Wasnt impressed, and I wont get my tattoo there.
