I have nothing to say but positive things about this place and the people who work here. they are some of the kindest people i have met, and they create such a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for everyone who walks in that door. the quality of what you’ll receive is stellar, and it will make you want to go back and get another.Teri, the tattoo artist, is absolutely phenomenal. all my recent work has been from her, and it is truly the best tattoos i have got out of all the places i have been tattooed at. she truly cares about her work and the details of it to make sure you are happy and satisfied. she’s easy to talk to, patient, and will make sure you feel comfortable through the process.also a shoutout to Steven, the piercer. i have gotten all my piercings at a different location in town, and they all have had so much trouble healing and rejecting. Steven is very knowledgeable when it comes to piercings, and was able to redo the ones that i wanted and needed to save. i have been getting piercings for over four years, and in just one appointment with him, i learned so much crucial information and extra facts about the piercings that i had never been taught or shown. needless to say, all my piercings will now be from here as well.overall the gist of this is if you’re looking for a tattoo/piercing shop in town that is safe, reliable, comfortable, clean, friendly, and safe, then this is the place for you; and i will stand by that statement.

I’ve have been here a few times for tattoos and absolutely love coming to Crimson Breed. Everyone is great but Carissa is absolutely amazing and so light handed which makes the process of getting any tattoo so much better. She did a large cover up on my side/hip area and it turned out even better than I could have ever expected. Carissa is amazingly talented. I highly recommend her. 10/10.

Teri was amazing! So sweet, skilled, personable, and the studio was an incredibly comfortable space (with great music too!). Session was quick and easy and didn’t hurt at all. I love the work she did and I am so happy with how it turned out. It was really easy to book an appointment, easy to find, great price, and overall a great experience. Will definitely be returning soon in the future!!

My friend & I wanted to get piercings last minute and they got us in same day! I hadn’t been pierced in years after a couple failed piercings due to the previous shop I went to and was pretty nervous. Steven was AMAZING! He was so funny, welcoming, gave us great aftercare instructions, and was super quick! Definitely will be coming back once this is healed up! (Also one of the more reasonable priced places we went to compared to others)

Steven slayeddd my tattoo. Literally in love with it. Had no troubles with the healing process either. He even fit my sisters in too last minute for some piercings! Great experience!! Will definitely be coming back!

I wanted to cover up this tattoo and Teri not only came up with a beautiful design but she executed it beyond measure. She took something that caused me so much pain to look at and turned it into something so beautiful. Everyone in the shop was so nice and the atmosphere was light with lots of laughter. I was very comfortable thanks to the extra pillows Terri got me. Highly recommend her and this shop. I will definitely have more work done by her.

$80 for a simple tattoo of “Let Them” on my inner middle finger is ridiculous! Thats a $20 tattoo, when I couldve gotten it across my entire forearm for $40 at another shop! The attitude of of the employee there was absolutely uncalled for and very unprofessional. I will not be getting any ink from this overpriced shop that has arrogant/rude staff members.

I had my tattoo with Teri and it turned out amazing! I felt so calm and confident while getting the tattoo and it turned out exactly how I wanted it!

I went at the end of December when they were having a deal. I asked for two small tattoos. The lady who did mine was very nice. The one I got on my finger started to fade the next week. I contacted the shop through Instagram and didn’t get a response. So I called the shop and let a voicemail. Still didn’t get a response. So I called again and finally got someone. The lady who did mine was out so they had to get ahold of her. She got me back in a week later for a touch up and told me if it happened again to get ahold of them and they would get me back in. So the next week, again it started to fade. I reached out again through Instagram and never got a response. I was not going to go through the process of again of calling multiply times. It’s their responsibility to check their messages snd voicemails. I know they are instagram because I can see when they post and when they were active. I decided I will wait and get it touched up when I get another tattoo. Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism in this place. Don’t go! First photo is what it looks like now. Second photo is what it was supposed to be.

I went to take my daughter to get her nose done! We spoke with the piercing guy a day before set the time up for the next day! We went to the shop for our 6pm appointment he did not show nor answer his phone for the employees so that is unprofessional in my book wont ever go back went to evil by the needle Jamie was awesome and will be going there from now on i dont recommend this place

I just got my fifth tattoo, my first by Carissa and it was the best tattoo experience I have ever had. She was amazing and made sure everything was perfect. Also got ear piercings by Steve-O and it was also a great experience! He made sure to place them perfectly and it was excellent! Great experience!

Dustin did a phenomenal job of the rose on my hand. It was a complete mess and he made it look so fresh and clean !! Crimson was clean and respectful. Definitely recommend!!!

I got my doubles done here during their January Friday the 13th special, and while it was nice that I saved some money on the piercings, I definitely wish I had gone elsewhere. The piercer was very nice, and he made sure everything was even and was very careful when piercing. It was quick, easy, and relatively painless. HOWEVER, I’m almost certain that they don’t use surgical steel or implant grade titanium. I followed all aftercare instructions (used saline cleaner on them on the front and back 3-5 times per day everyday) and my piercings were still infected and bleeding 3 months after I got them pierced. Finally I decided to switch to a different set of earrings, and the bleeding and infection stopped within a week. I’ve NEVER had that problem with real surgical steel or implant grade titanium. Those with sensitive skin/metal allergies: be warned.

I had an AMAZING experience at Crimson Breed! I got my nipples pierced by Steve-O, but the entire staff was so kind and fun! Steve-O was extremely professional and reassuring. I felt completely comfortable throughout the entire process, and he placed / pierced them perfectly. I will absolutely be coming back for any piercing or tattoo needs.

I stopped by as a walk in after seeing a review praising the shop on how they handled their clients. Snake bites that day. I had previously tried myself and failed so let a professional do it. The atmosphere is great. A couple weeks later went back for the jewelry adjustment and spoke with an artist about getting sleeves done. I connected with the energy instantly and scheduled the first of many appointments. The day of the first session Keenan was great. He did exactly what I needed and explained the aftercare perfectly. I plan to keep going until I feel comfortable with the way my tattoos look. That you all at crimson for making me feel like I am welcome

I am absolutely in love with the tattoo that Josh is working on and close to finishing. Its a cover up which makes it even more amazing to me! He does great work, hes very talented, very friendly and is great at communicating with you on what his thoughts are and how hes gonna wow you with your forever art! The whole entire crew at Crimson Breed has been stellar at being kind and making me feel comfortable while there! Ive sat through 2 separate 3hour sessions now and am counting the days til I can go back in for my third!! I highly recommend them! I also got a nose piercing by Amber and Stevo has also helped me with the adjustments their all great at what they do!

Went to get a tattoo from Teri last week and I absolutely love it. She does an amazing job, as do all the artists here! I also stopped by today to get my nose piercing by Steve-o super rad dude, very professional.

Was looking for a place to get my labret pierced for my birthday this year and I am so glad I chose Crimson Breed! I was greeted by Steve-O (one of the piercers) as soon as I walked in. He is very knowledgeable about his craft and helped me pick a piece of jewelry that looks great on me! The studio was immaculate, and also had lots of fun artwork and unique pieces to look at while I waited (less than 5 minutes). Once I was taken to his booth, Steve explained everything he was doing step-by-step. He was very careful about making sure my piercing was exactly symmetrical with the rest of my face. The actual piercing was MUCH less painful than I expected it to be! He was careful and gentle, but quick to minimize pain and tissue damage. He gave me detailed care instructions and also invited me to come back to have my piercing checked and resized after it heals for free!!! I absolutely recommend this place and more specifically, Steve-O if youre looking for a quality piercing. I have numerous piercings, and this was hands-down one of the best experiences I have ever had in a piercing/tatto shop!!! I will definitely visit again to get any other piercings from now on! Thanks so much to Steve-O, and all the rest of the artists at Crimson Breed for making my birthday a very memorable one!!

I dropped by Crimson Breed to learn about getting my nose pierced—what jewelry they had available, what the piercer recommends, and what the general setup would be like. Amber was super helpful and walked me through the options. It was clear they only offered high-quality studs/rings, and I liked Amber’s philosophy about piercing safely. Knowing that she had a background as a nurse was a huge comfort.Amber let me know I could come back in an hour to get it done—no appointment necessary. I was so glad I did! The process was clean, chill, and very enjoyable. Highly recommend!

I chatted with Steve-O over the phone before coming into the shop. He was very willing to take a quick walk in after another shop cancelled my appointment. He was helpful and answered all my questions concerning my septum piercing. I believe he had my best interest at heart and found the correct angle for the piercing (although I had a deviation that could cause it to hang irregularly). He was never worried it would hang crooked and did a spectacular, quick painless job. I am healing perfectly and couldnt be more happy with the results. See you soon Steve-O! Thanks again.

This is the best place to get a tattoo in Bloomington. Keenan made sure I was happy with everything about my tattoo before we started (size, placement, color). The atmosphere was incredible. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly. And, I couldn’t be happier with my tattoo! Keenan is extremely talented and I will definitely be coming back.

After 45 years I finally had the courage to go and get my 1st tattoo. I was super nervous... But my person (Carissa Roth) was amazing! She told me everything that was happening and what she was doing. After she started she made sure to check on me to see if I was ok and completely comfortable. She did an amazing job! So good in fact that Im going back for another tattoo at the end if the month !

I went here with a friend to get her nose peirced. We didnt have an appointment or know if they even did piercing for sure. The staff were great and made my friend feel really comfortable right away. The manager Bruce was amazing and had a great sense of humor! The piercer, Amber, was wonderful with my friend and made her experience feel actually meaningful and like it was meant to be that they had met and Amber wound up being the one to give her the piercing shed been trying to get for a long time. We left full of smiles! Ill be personally going there for my next tattoo appointments as well! 5 big stars!

Each time I leave Crismon Breed I am extremely happy. I saw Stephen for my helix piercings and he helped me start my journey in gauging my lobes. He made the experience easy for me as he is very calm and steady handed. He explained after care clearly to me and made my next steps easy to understand. My daughter (8 yo) wanted her ears pierced and I wanted someplace I knew it would be done correctly and not done with a piercing gun! Annie was amazing with my daughter and the whole staff was super cool. Annie let my daughter pick out her earrings and made her feel so comfortable throughout the piercing process. My daughter was really nervous and Annie really was amazing to her. She talked her through the whole process and was so friendly and professional!! One of the tattoo artists even took the time to come over and tell my daughter how well she did and how good her ears looked. Just a great place and good people. Today I received my first tattoo of many to come. My artist was Kaylyn and she did an excellent job. She was so gentle that it didnt even hurt! She kept nice conversation and was really fun to talk with. Everyone there was very friendly. Definitely would recommend to friends and family!

I asked around for months and everybody recommended this place, and they delivered on that reputation. This is my go to shop now.

Decided on a whim to get my nose pierced and Im really glad I chose this place. Its got a laid back, welcoming vibe and I felt completely comfortable just walking in. Amber is lovely, professional, and fun to talk to. She also changed the jewelry in one of my other piercings and Im very happy with how everything turned out. My daughter and I got matching tattoos from Carissa, who stayed until 11pm (3 hours past closing) to finish us up. Thank you for the positive experience, Carissa. They let us get 2 each this time. Which was super exciting. My daughter and i got matching tattoos and individual tattoos. Our artist was Steven, who does amazing line work. He was friendly, professional and talented AF. He had us both in and out in 1 hour (4 tattoos that look amazing). Thank you Steven!!!! Took my daughter in for a nose piercing for her fifteenth birthday present this evening. The shop is very clean, well organized and professional. Amber (the piercing technician) is knowledgeable, friendly and put my very nervous daughter at ease with no problem. I’d highly recommend this shop not only for the first timer but an old hand as well.

Got tatted by Josh, and I am SO happy with the results. Josh was cool, funny, friendly, and he worked fast and well. My final bill even ended up being 2/3rds of the estimate!! Super happy to find another tattoo shop I can rely on in town. What a great birthday present!!

A clean shop with a laid-back feel and friendly, professional artists.-About 2 weeks ago, I got tattooed by Shane, who is a friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and talented artist. With just a few reference photos and a quick description of what I was looking for, Shane created a piece that is unique and exactly what I was looking for. Not only did he create this piece once, but twice, as there were issues with the technology he was working with. Even with this setback, he was ready to go with a great piece of art by the time of our appointment. I couldnt have had a better experience, and Im extremely grateful for the wonderful service and art I received.

I was looking for my first tattoo and asked several coworkers where they had their art done, and I was told that Dustin Underwood at Crimson Breed was the person to see.Today, I got my second tattoo by Dustin, in the past 2 weeks. Ive seen plenty of tattoo studios in my time and Ive never seen a place as clean as Crimson Breed. The studio is respectable and professional, as are the artists and staff. I looked at their website and saw that the artists are incredible. I went in and was treated like a lifetime friend. They are knowledgeable, professional, and have talent by the truckload.5 stars just isnt enough to describe Crimson Breed Tattoos. Would I recommend them? Hell, Ill advertise for them every chance I get! If you are looking for new ink or a cover up.....go see Dustin and his artists at Crimson Breed, you will not be disappointed. I can guarantee, Ill be back for any ink that I get done in the future, no matter where I may live.....Ill gladly make the trip to go back to Crimson Breed!

Josh did an amazing job on a tattoo to match one of a friend and another of the skyrim symbol. Both turned out picture perfect and healed nicely. Amber absolutely killed it on a snake bite piercing (got tested for covid in order to get them). Placement was on point and she’s very gentle, plus she has a beautiful jewelry selection. Everyone was very professional and so nice. Especially Steve-O at the front counter; very friendly and helpful. By far the best experience I’ve had getting pierced or tattooed. 10/10 highly recommend.

This is my first time ever getting a tattoo done and I’ll tell y’all this had to be the best experience ever! I came on Friday the 13th but I would come back any and everyday if I could! I got my first tattoo done here and was extremely nervous. The girl that did it (didn’t catch her name) was extremely nice and made me feel very comfortable and by the time she finished I felt great. She also made sure that I really liked the design. The price was also very fair and affordable.

I got a tattoo done here in late December 2020, the artist was over two hours late, but I understood since it was due to a family emergency and the she gave me a small discount for my time. Once it was all started the tattoo looked great; however, it was not finished and I was told I would have to come back to get it finished, but it would not cost anything additional since I paid the agreed upon price at the end of the first appointment. However over the next Five months, from January to May, I reached out to my tattoo artist multiple times. The messages on Instagram were viewed by her, but I did not receive a reply until after I had moved out of the country, five months later. Overall I am happy with my tattoo, but very very disappointed that it took so long to get a reply about finishing it and now I will have to pay another artist to finish it.

Steve-o did my nostril and helix piercing in the same sitting! Both were great and didn’t even bleed, fast, efficient, and priced fairly. Definitely recommend!

The staff was wonderful and very funny!! I didn’t check the name of the man that did my tongue piercing but he made me laugh which made the process much easier. I will definitely be going back to get any future piercing or maybe a tattoo.

Amber is the best piercer in town. Ive sadly been screwed over by other piercers in town and Amber was the most polite and educated of them all. She spent alot of time with me and helped me research all if my options before making a decision. She educated me on her jewelry (Neometal and BVLA) and helped me choose the perfect pieces. She is always easy to reach and goes over the top for my kids. I wouldnt go to anyone else...especially if you have children!

Shane did a great job and was very professional. He was friendly and easy to get used to. We called ahead so he was able to finish the job quickly. Their place was spacious and welcoming. They really deserve 5 stars 👍

Just got my first tattoo here. Kaylyn did my tattoo. I changed the size and placement a bit and she did it perfectly. Lines are smooth and not wonky at all. I was comfortable with her tattooing me. I’ll definitely get more there again.

I called to see if they had appointments available for nipple piercings they fit me in that same day. The Studio was very clean and my piercer was so professional and made me feel super comfortable and informed I definitely found my new go to place.

Do NOT go to Carissa at Crimson Breed.She was easy to talk to, a great listener in conversation, and talked like she knew what she was doing. But shes only been tattooing for 2 years, and her art isnt the best by any means whatsoever. Her Instagram profile has quite a few pictures, and majority of them are atrocious. Her roses are bulbous and rounded, not flowy like an actual flower- more like a globe. Her tattoos of people are absolutely horrifying.Unfortunately, she ALSO managed to mess up my simple tattoo by not following the specific details and references I gave her, by creating something bland herself instead. I have a red sword on my arm, and it doesnt have nearly as much color, line work, details, or vibrancy as I asked for.I was so unhappy about it, but she did go out of her way to reassure me that she can do touch ups after two weeks if I feel they need to be done.But, Id rather pay to go somewhere else to have this completely redone- NOT just touched up.The middle of my sword, along the blade? The middle line is thick and dark in some spots, and thin and light in others. Theres even a couple places where it looks like the line is completely nonexistant. A simple, SINGLE, SHORT line. Messed up heavily. Not connecting, thick and thin, NOT a solid, sword- blade-like line.Im going to a different artist so they can actually put in the detail I asked for, the colors I wanted, and the correct and simple line work.

I went into the Crimson Breed Tattoo Studio to get my first tattoo. I was trying to go over the price with the staff, which admittedly, were nice to me. I was going to get a pretty small tattoo, somewhat detailed tattoo on my left arm. The staff told me the tattoo would take two-four hours. But here is the problem, they told me that I would need to put a $60 deposit before getting the tattoo, and then I will have to pay $120 an hour. This pricing was completely different from others that have gone to the same location for their tattoo. A coworker that I work with went to the tattoo studio and paid ONLY $80 for a tattoo that was larger than the one I was going to get. I called other tattoo places around Bloomington where they informed me that that price should not have been offered to me for it was ridiculous for the tattoo I was getting. During the time, I did put down the $60 deposit. But I was unable/unwilling to pay $120 an hour for a pretty small tattoo. Therefore I informed them through Facebook that I didn’t want it. I wasn’t offered a refund or anything. The staff was nice and the place is definitely clean. But I also believe the staff took advantage of me not knowing tattoo pricing at that time.

My experience started out great with a nice soothing phone, then I came in place was very clean and staff was nice. Amber did my doubles piercing and it turned out great. Overall amazing experience.

Yesterday I went with my sister-in-law to get tattoos and I was very nervous because the last place I went had done a bad job on my siblings tattoo. Not only did Crimson Breed do an AMAZING job, they also fixed my siblings tattoo that the other place messed up. The place was very clean and all of the people were very friendly!!! I cant wait to have them do my next one :)

I got a nose piercing by Amber. She was very nice and professional and made me feel very welcome. She did a wonderful job and was great about answering any questions I had.

Wouldnt let me schedule over the phone, when I did go in had to make one for a week out. The day of, 3 hours before my appointment get called and told the pircier had to cancel because of a family emergency, no problem scheduled it out another week. Come in for my appointment and the only pircer that can do my service isnt even there to do it and they had to search for the money to return me my deposit. Wouldnt recommend them.

Steve-o did great piercing my daughters nose. He made her comfortable and was very knowledgeable.

I called to book an appointment and was told the new guy, Josh, would be calling me soon because he had the most availability. Hours later, he texted me to book the appointment. When I texted back, saying I was told he might have appointments that next day and asking if he had any pics of his work, he stated that theyre mostly on his Instagram and did not respond about when he had availability. Okay... Unhelpful. I wouldve thought hed be proud of his tattoos and could maybe text me a couple pics, since he was obviously texting to book the appointment, which he never got back to me on either. So whatever... Gonna get it done at Time and Tide. They seem much more professional and answered my questions. I just didnt want to have to book my appointment a few weeks out, but I feel much more confident that it will be done right at Time and Tide, so I guess its worth the wait.

Josh did an outstanding job on this piece and every time I look at it I fall more in love with it! Thank you!!

Tattoo came out fine, there was just way to much chaos and attitude. I definitely wasn’t the most important thing going on, artist had far to many other things going on. No suggestions were made about the tattoo that I wanted, usually you give someone your thoughts and they start thinking of what they could add or how they could improve what you’re looking for, I received attitude. Maybe it was a bad day but that was enough for me.

I took my daughter to get her nose pierced today. We had a great experience, staff and the manager were very friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back :)

Made an appointment with piercer Amber 2 weeks in advance, arrived at our appointment on time and the doors were locked. Messaged amber and was left on read with no response or explanation as to why were denied service.
