She significantly overcharges for a simple ear piercing and sells low-quality jewelry at inflated prices. She targets students with high prices, assuming their parents are paying, which is not the case for many. Additionally, the piercing was crooked and became severely infected, resulting in a poor overall experience.

Gotten 2 piercings here previously and healed great. Although very unreliable, Google says open, you show up and they’re closed. Called on Monday, said they were open the next day, showed up the next day. Closed. Called again on Wednesday, said they’d see me tomorrow. Got my shift covered, and yet again, Closed. It’s now Friday, and closed, saying they open on Monday? Just disappointed with the unreliability, it would’ve been fine if they would’ve just told me they didn’t know when they were opening :(

I came by to get two piercings on one ear and I say, THEY DID AN AMAZING JOB! I came in very nervous but they were knowledgeable and helped me cool down and I felt a lot better being there. This experience is worth it and will never forget it!

The place was clean & the people are nice but i DO NOT recommend coming here for ANYTHING the prices are OUTRAGEOUS. my sister & i came to get our ear pierced & spent 150+ for EACH. to make matters worse they don’t tell you the price until AFTER the service. Piercer didn’t wipe down the seat between me and my friends getting pierced. my friend got a bar that was too short on her navel piercing. I was not given proper cleaning and aftercare instructions, even after asking. She was very sarcastic but mean. There were boxes of decorations all throughout the space. Verbally bullied my friend. Did not talk us through the experience while actually going through the piercing process. Not properly educated. Gave us the wrong information about what cleaning solution to get. Prices were so high compared to the experience we got. My septum was all together 95$ after getting the titanium jewelry zapped to change colors and did NOT tell us about the upcharge of getting the metal color changed. We felt taken advantage of because we are obviously college students, but still deserved a professional experience. Very unprofessional.

Super unprofessional. Cursing, rude, and unnecessarily sarcastic, even on the phone. Didn’t explain guidelines and aftercare. Pierced me crooked and gave me too short of a bar on my navel piercing knowing it would lead to an infection. Had to get it re-done at my usual place. Do not recommend at all

I got my septum pierced here and it was definitely a super welcoming environment. one of the owners was there to greet us, and the piercer was super nice. she talked methrough the whole process and played some music and it was a great experience !

Don’t suggest coming here for piercings unless you plan on spending 150+, just as a heads up. And they also won’t tell you prices until afterwards, I was told an extra $30 for gold, but not that the original price was 120!! Which is crazy for ear piercings in my opinion!

Amazing! I was changing my nose piercing and was unable to get the new stud through my nose. Called and was able to walk in for an appointment. Not only was Shawna so kind about the situation she was able to fix the piercing and put a beautiful stud in! She explained everything to me and gave me great instructions and tips for future piercing changes. I highly recommend going here for all your piercing needs!

This was the most unprofessional experience at a piercing/tattoo shop Ive ever experienced, and I have several piercings and tattoos. I went to this shop with my friend who was here visiting from out of town. We were excited that walk ins were welcome! The owner was the only one there working, and therefore who helped us.In short, she verbally bullied my friend the entire time. It started with my friend asking about how to get rid of a bubble that was forming on a recent nasal piercing. She laughed at her care for her piercing and told her everything she was doing was wrong, without freely offering advice on WHAT she should do, which is all she wanted to know.She then made fun of her tattoo, telling her it looked like it was about to fall off and would not last her more than 5 years. News flash maam, no one asked you :)She pierced my tragus and did not say anything negative to me or ask about my previous piercings or tattoos. Then my friend went to sit for her ear lobe piercings. The owner said you got those first piercings from Claires, didnt you? There is nothing about her piercings from TWENTY YEARS AGO WHEN SHE WAS 8 that would let this woman know they were from Claires. Meanwhile, not asking me where my previous piercings came from. Finally, she didnt even let us pick out jewelry. She just acted like we were about to start! And I said, Id like to pick the piercing? She acted like this was trouble for her and that we should just accept the jewelry she was going to pierce with? She was a bully and made us feel very uncomfortable. I would never go back to this shop. Overall very strange, aggressive, and condescending human being. Do better.

I called their number on a whim for a memorial tattoo. John and his wife (I’m sorry, forgot your name!) were so very kind and opened their doors to me on their day off! I couldn’t love my tattoo more, and had a good conversation with John while he tattooed me. Very comfortable experience with more than fair pricing. Super groovy place ;)

A few days ago my nose piercing fell out and I was panicking and freaking out and the next day I called the lady that pierced my nose and they took me immediately. As soon as I got in she put my piercing back in my nose and did it so well. She did it so fast and pain free it was such a good job! Not to mention she never charged me and I thought that was so nice.! If anyone just lost their piercing i so recommend coming to this place.

This place is great. Very clean. Lots of jewelry options. Great atmosphere. I took my 14 year old here to get her nose pierced and Shawna did a really great job explaining everything that was going to happen beforehand, and talking to her afterwards about how to keep it clean, prevent infection, and make sure it healed properly. We had an incident where the jewelry came out a couple of months after the initial piercing and my daughter wasn’t able to get it back in. She was freaking out. We stopped back in and Shawna totally handled it with no problem and had us out the door quickly. I would definitely use this studio again.

My nose piercing had fallen out and they put it back and adjusted things so it stayed better. Definitely recommend this place for a good experience!

Shawna has done many face piercings for me over the years! She re-did my eyebrow piercing twice; once when I first got it way back in the day at the OLD shop in downtown Bloomington in 2006-ish after another shop pierced it incorrectly & it got infected. Then again in 2010 when she was on Campus at A+ Piercings. As a fellow Juggalette, I have always appreciated her enthusiasm for all things unique, spooky, & psychopathic! When she did my dermal under my eye in 2020, I was so scared it was going to hurt. I had a friend get a dermal done at another shop in town & she screamed when they did it. Obviously different pain tolerances, different piercing techniques; But: when Shawna did mine, I barely felt it & was pleasantly surprised! I also had her do my bridge that day as well; again, pretty painless. She’s got a crazy personality, but always so fun to be around. She’s amazing & I highly recommend her for all your piercings! I have watched John Rowe who does the tattoos there progress amazingly over the years with his artistic abilities of tattooing. He’s always been great, but seeing his work through the years, it gets better & better! I got my first tattoo from him in 2009, again at the old shop in downtown Bloomington. Always a great atmosphere in the shop, beautifully decorated, VERY CLEAN, great prices, just an all around great business. The owners are amazing, love them both! Whoop Whoop! MCL! 😉❤️‍🔥

This place was amazing! the people were so friendly and helpful immediately welcoming. the place itself was so clean and the whole process was beautiful.

Visited the shop with my sister and the piercer informed us that the jewelry we picked out had to be sanitized. Shops usually take what, 5-10 min to clean? No, the girl told us 1 hour & that she would call. So we left, 1 hr went by, no call, 2 hrs, no call, and we walked into the shop where she was helping someone else but didn’t say anything on how she never called! We nicely asked for a discount for the wait and how she never called and she straight up said no and that she told us it would take an hour or more.They do not value your time here and are unorganized. I have other piercings and I have NEVER experienced this. The jewelry is OVERPRICED for no reason and they do not tell you the cost until they do it. You buy the jewelry and not the piercing, very weird… Never going back.Edit: Never did I say I was coming back for more… Literally was conned into by putting a deposit down for my Monday piercing before the piercer could do it. I only wanted one, but the piercer said she couldn’t do one on the ear that I wanted so I had to come back only for the SAME piercer to do it. Never was told prices. Never saw the owner on Saturday. Would have never gotten a piercing if I knew how much the first one cost (only AFTER I got it I found out) and I had already put a deposit for the second so kinda had to go… we were never upset with the girl with the wallet. Literally just wanted better customer service and information.

In my opinion it was a great place to get my piercing done at. I got my industrial done a little over two years ago then my nose for my birthday. She let you pick your gems and explained the aftercare. The price is a little pricey but it’s great since you get a piercing done. I am still in love with both my piercing and hopefully get more piercing here soon.

I called ahead about getting a septum piercing and was hoping to make an appointment, but was told to just do a walk-in. I wound up waiting over an hour because of this, which I was fine with. I knew I wanted a closed ring and planned to tell the piercer when she asked what jewelry I wanted, but she never asked. I told her what I wanted when she started getting ready for the piercing and she tried to talk me out of it in a way that mostly sounded like it was just too much work for her (I know it had been a busy day, but I figured I would be paying more, which is why I still asked). She eventually told me it would take another hour to sanitize a closed ring, which is when I finally gave in and said a horseshoe ring was fine (keep in mind I had already waited an hour for my turn at this point). Her piercing skills were great, but I wound up paying $70 for a ring that wasn’t really what I had wanted and now have to wait 3 months to pay for a replacement solely because I had already been waiting so long. I also didn’t get any aftercare information or cleaning solution because they ran out earlier that day. Overall, the piercing itself was fine, but I’m frustrated at the customer service experience and the small things that would have made this trip more enjoyable.

I got three piercings for over $200. Now im not usually one to complain but because I am younger I feel like I was taken advantage of. The staff was super nice and everything was clean but i think i got ripped off.

John is a beast with a tattoo gun. Got me sat down and out practically before I could blink tat is dark and sharp I put trust in this guy and he definitely earned my money. Highly recommend

Shauna is amazing! She both pierced my septum and did a tattoo for me. The line work on my tattoo is fantastic! She blew me away, and it looks even better in tattoo form than the print. Shawna is amazing at what she does. I went in there for a tongue piercing and she calmly told me that she just couldnt do it because of the vein in my tongue. No big deal but I did walk out with my medusa piercing instead. Shawna explained the pros and cons of two various methods and ultimately, I went with what she suggested. She did it quickly and I was so close to passing out and was immediately on it until I felt comfortable enough to leave the shop. I did go back later with some concerns and she was beyond helpful. My piercing has healed up nicely. Thank you Shawna!

Never coming back here again — lady was super rude and unhelpful when asking her how to clear an infection from the piercing. Kept saying to use an 18 in 1 on the face which is super dangerous, never been talked to so poorly by customer service!

Got my nose pierced here when I was new to town. Had a great experience, loved the piercer. She was so much fun. I had gotten a screw on nose ring put in by another piercer couple months back. When I wanted to take it out and put a hoop in, I couldn’t get the thing out! I went back to this place and she took good care of me. Will totally keep going back to this place. You not only get what you want and need, you have a lot of fun too.

I‘m sorry to say, but you should consider getting a bill or on paper confirmation for your piercings/tattoos beforehand, since it was more than double the price in the end, than agreed upon in the beginning. Really cool lady, but that was not okay. Hope that review helps you, since I wish I knew before going there.

Received a dermal piercing on my upper lip, which was a horrible experience, only to have it reject a year and a half later. I was assured this would be a permanent fixture and the healthier option, versus a traditional stud piercing. Instead my worst fears came true - painful install, pain to change the jewelry after it was healed, and had to go through a hellish nightmare experience (mentally as well as physically) as it slowly worked its way out over 6 months time, eventually having to get cut out the rest of the way. I cant speak for the tattoos or normal through piercings, but dont get a dermal here. Also got stood up twice for appointments. Unreliable all the way around, go elsewhere.

Im kinda curious to know how she responds to this one seeing all the others, i went in for just a nose piercing, i get on her chair she does everything as normal, and then sticks the piercing needle in my nose and proceeded to turn around, and take a phone call, while the needle is just sittin in my nose, i had so much trouble with this piercing constantly falling out or nearly falling out multiple times a day. I thought that was normal until it inevitably fell out in my sleep and sealed, i got it re-done some where else in town for an absolutely embarrassing fraction of the cost, and not only was it incredibly cheaper, the dude had the whole thing done in a solid second and a half MAX stud in and everything, Shaunas piercing made me nearly pass out, Iron and Inks had me in and out in 5 minutes and with a piercing that hasnt done anything more than turn inside my nose which i then just push back up, it doesnt ever slide around. I highly do not recommend going to this place, spend your money somewhere that’s actually going to care about giving you a decent service.

I called to get a tripple helix and asked for pricing and she said $60, it took over an hour to do the three piercings and she had to change out jewelry because the previous ones didn’t work and then I was told the total was $180 I paid without saying anything. A few months later I noticed they were all still infected regardless of cleaning them day and night. I went to have them removed when I was informed the wrong jewelry, jewelry thickness was used AND anatomically my ear wasn’t suitable FOR THE PIERCINGS. So not only was I charged for poor quality but she didn’t look at my ear and suggest I not get these piercings or only do one at a time. I THEN had to go to a dermatologist to get one of them surgically removed because as I said the wrong jewelry was used. If you need proof look up mattkellehermd on Instagram and their is a video of the removal. DO NOT GO THIS BUSINESS HAS NO REGARD FOR THE PEOPLE COMING IN. I will be contacting the better business bureau.

I would NOT recommend this place for piercings. They are entirely too pricey!! I just paid $170 for two very small piercings and a tongue ring (not piercing) that is too long and I cannot wear. I was not refunded for the ring! Also, I wasn’t informed of the exact price until AFTER I had been serviced. I give them a 2 stars bc I should have asked for exact pricing before service, but instead I assumed the number she gave me included both piercings, so that’s my fault. I will NEVER GO BACK TO PSYCHO PIERCINGS & INK EVER AGAIN...! We are coming out of a pandemic and ppl are clearly taking advantage of customers due to their loss of business from being closed down! I would suggest you shop around before going here!

Got my nipples pierced and everything went great is an understatement. The piercer is hilarious and so friendly. She makes you feel completely comfortable and gets the job done as painless as possible and quickly.

I got a lip tattoo here yesterday and after not even 24 hours 3 of the letters are almost completely faded. I paid $100 for this tattoo and it’s going to be completely faded in a couple of days. My tattoo looked great after I got it, and I know lip tattoos are supposed to fade but not this drastic within a day to where it is almost completely gone. To have spent this much money on something that lasted me not even 24 hours is extremely upsetting. Do not get a tattoo here.

This place was a joke. Went here day before fathers day with my dad to get wedding bands tattooed so the wifes would stop being mad at us for loosing them. Took her three times to get mine straight. I waited a few weeks to do a review so it could heal. To think I paid 160 for this blows my mind. Lines are not straight, and lines are inconsistent on thickness. Thinner in some areas thicker in others. My dads was also 160. Unfortunately, I will have to get mine redone by someone else ...... Do not go here.

I’m in Bloomington for work and somehow managed to break the top of my piercing off!I went to Psychopath to purchase a new barbell. They had a brand new shipment of titanium rings in and pulled a piece out for me before they even had time to price them and put them out in the cases!I appreciate the customer service I received even though I didn’t need to get pierced or a new tattoo!Look them up for sure!

She did a very good job on my tattoo! It was my first, and I also got my belly button and nose pierced. Make sure you eat before getting piercings! I nearly passed out from shock, thankfully they artist helped me through it!

The lady who did my tattoo was very helpful! They accept walk-in appointments. I got in to get my tattoo within 20 minutes. Very polite staff and good environment. Also, very clean! Love this place and will definitely return!

Shauna is RUDE with horrid customer service skills. She reprimanded my kids for laying on her faux leather couch. That would not have been a huge deal had she not gone on and on and on and on telling them, in her nasty voice, that she spent a lot of money of them, etc. I would have left and gone elsewhere had it not been after 7:30 in the evening and it being a surprise for my daughters 18th birthday...I was fearful of not finding another parlor that would be able to do the tattoo that evening. They were an hour late starting the tattoo for which we had an appointment. In fact, Shauna started on another walk-in and had her husband do my daughters tattoo AN HOUR LATE! She went on to yell at her husband while he was doing the tattoo which made all of us uncomfortable AGAIN! To top it off, the tattoo was nowhere near as detailed as the picture we provided. I had gone to use the restroom and when I returned he already had the tattoo bandaged and started cleaning the supplies. Fearing the wrath of Shauna, we accepted the tattoo and left. She did not explain the after care like she had to the other customer...merely handed us a card. Once we left I realized that they had not deducted the deposit I paid via Venmo to secure the appointment. When I called her and asked her to just send me the deposit back via Venmo she said she didnt know how, but would try. Funny how they can receive $, but not refund it! Never received the refund. My daughter really wanted more detail in the tattoo so we reluctantly went back a week later and showed her the photo and she insisted that what we had was what was pictured...IT WAS NOT! My daughter began to touch her tattoo to show her where she wanted to have a few additional veinings in the flower and Shauna literally lost her mind and yelled at my daughter for touching her arm. She told my daughter, who is shy, to look at her (my daughter was too scared and reluctant) and when she wouldnt look at her she continued to scream at her until she looked at her. I explained that my daughter was shy and she could care less. Shauna wanted to tell her how dangerous it was for her to touch her arm, which is fine, but there is a way to talk to someone. They claim to give free touch-ups within the first six months, but clearly dont want to. She is insisting that we are crazy and dont want what we asked for. I had HAD IT!!! I finally told her that I wanted my deposit back that she still hadnt refunded and told her off for being rude. She argued with me and told me not to talk to her like that in front of her children (who were in the shop), yet she found it acceptable to yell and reprimand us any chance she could. It was the worst experience EVER! Not only did we NOT get what we had wanted, but it was one of the most uncomfortable situations EVER! What was suppose to be a memorable 18th birthday turned out to be a nightmare! I had to ask her three more times for my deposit back before we left and she finally got the money and said, heres your measly deposit. If it was so measly then GIVE IT BACK!! We left out the back door and a few minutes later she stormed out with her kids and told us that she had to leave and close up the shop because we, hurt her feelings!! Can you imagine how we felt! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!

Got my first tattoo with them and will never go anywhere else. Took extra steps to make sure my tattoo was exactly what I wanted before starting. Everything was sterile and the artist wore a mask. Aftercare was clearly written out as well as instructed to ensure the best outcome. Environment is relaxed and a lot of fun.Also had my son in for a piercing. The procedure was explained step by step and everything used was sterile. Aftercare was once again verbally explained and given in writing. New to me is a 1 week follow up your make sure everything is healing. I have never had anyone else do this. Absolutely recommend and I wont go anywhere else.

Theres a reason people call & ask for appointments, you shouldn’t tell them on the phone to come in as a walk in rather than booking an appointment and then have them drive 40 minutes out of their hometown just to tell them youre all booked up and laugh when i said you told me not to book an appointment and shrug and say “its the weekend” when the whole reason i called prior was to book an appointment lol. Based on the other reviews this seems to be a recurring issue with your establishment. Very glad i didnt continue with getting something permanent on my body from this place.

My piercing was infected from a different shop & this shop really helped me out. Took my infected piercing out & squeezed my infection out. Really helpful in how to take care of my piercings but cash only & after getting my piercing removed, getting cash out of the atm, & buying the nasal spray(for treatment on piercing) I paid $30 which to me is a bit pricey

I’ve gotten 2 tattoos done here within a 3 week span and i am honestly so happy I did! I appreciate the atmosphere here, literally never a dull moment and my tattoos are so crisp like wow!

Honestly, this place doesnt even qualify enough to have customer service. They never acknowledged my friend and I until we were there for over 30 minutes, that being said it wasnt even that busy! At least not busy enough to ignore potential business... Also once we did receive help the woman never asked to see ID she just jumped right in to getting the work done, she never even told us her name. The whole experience was weak, unacceptable, and upsetting. I would not recommend going here unless you really dont have much self respect for how or what you choose to put on your body, that or any real logical judgement at all... also we waited here for nearly two hours.. and they had two people working, one doing all the work, the other doing nothing. I think this place needs to assess how the operate and find a better management style, if they wish to continue doing business.

Paid deposit right before Covid hit. Never heard from her so walked in one day while they were open and she had not done the artwork yet. Was supposed to get a call in a week but then Covid hit and still no call even though they are now reopened. Just want my deposit back!

John does amazing quality work, and got me in faster than any other place in town. Thought Id have to sacrifice quality for speed, but that was not the case, and I am very happy with the ink I got here!

Went in to get my daughters name on my arm last June and paid close to $500 for it but i basically got a black blob on my arm with my daughters name in the middle of the blob and is not at all what I showed her and asked for... everything seemed to be going alright until she decided to take a break and get high halfway through my tattoo...She didnt offer to fix it she didnt offer anything and now Im going to have to spend more money to get it fixed by a real professional... She had my phone number and Facebook but didnt try to get ahold of me to apologize she just took my money and ran and I now have a horrible tattoo...I would never use her or shop for anything especially a tattoo.

Went and got a small tattoo of a skull with minimal shading, the artist left some pretty bad scarring. She also used the N word multiple times and talked about sex basically the whole time I was getting tattooed. Definitely will not be returning.

I went here to get my first tattoo and the experience was very upsetting... I asked the tattoo artist for a flaming skull covering my left shoulder and even brought in a picture of what i wanted to be done. he takes a quick look at it and then determines that it is not cool enough so he just decides to free hand it. after the whole thing was done i ended up with a tattoo taking up my entire left shoulder and it wasnt even close to what I asked the artist for. very upsetting. i would not recommend this parlor to even my worst enemy.

The last few times I was able to just walk in and get something done on the spot. I absolutely hate ICP. I will never be down with the clown, but Moses makes it worth the trip.
