Immediately upon walking in, we felt welcomed and comfortable. We had many questions, which Lauren answered so graciously, walking us through the options of jewelry and locations of piercings. She made us feel like she had all the time in the world to hold up options of jewelry to the exact spot we wanted, although they had many customers come through while we were there. Chelsea was so professional and personable. I felt so cared for and comfortable. Such a fun and memorable event on our girls trip!

My 5y.o. daughter had such a great experience here. Everybody was so nice and friendly, it made her feel confident and brave. Having her ears pierced for the first time, by Kelli, who was so sweet, explaining everything she was doing. Completely fear and tears free experience! We couldn’t find a better place. My daughter walked out of there saying “I can’t believe I did it! I’m so proud of myself!” 🥹

We had the best experience! Everyone was so nice and fully explained the process to my daughter before beginning. She said it didn’t even really hurt and was so proud of herself! She is already talking about coming back when she wants a 2nd hole done. It was completely worth the drive downtown and we couldn’t have asked for better service. Will recommend Rowan to anyone!

My 7 year old got her ears pierced for the first time today and everyone was so nice and patient with her. Explaining the steps and make sure she was ok. I also had my cartilage done and it was such an easy process. Definitely recommend. Very clean and educational.

This earring shop has super nice employees, and the BEST quality earrings. I have sensitive skin that gets infected easily by earrings but these earrings do not infect my ears. The prices are great here and the environment is very clean and sanitized. I would HIGHLY recommend Rowan.

Please make sure you clarify price before getting service!! Me my father and mother were specifically told over the phone that you do not pay for the actual piercing you only pay for the earrings and the piercing is free (so piercing comes with a purchase of earrings). I made sure to clarify 3 times with the lady. I wanted to make sure she was telling me right and so I was prepared financially before we traveled all the way out there. They did the whole service and waited UNTILL THE END to tell us that there is a $50 piercing fee…. This girl was not one of the nurses but just someone they hired to work behind the counter. Very poor service and training. And on top of that was very nasty when we questioned the price. I would NEVER recommend a place like this that lies to get you through the door then completes the service so you are left with no choice but to pay, and then tells you about the extra fees. The point wasn’t how much it was the point is that we were lied to for them to get our business!! All employees should be trained accordingly. So rather she lied to get our business or she genuinely didn’t know what she was talking about. Please don’t be like us and get a service done before paying for it. Even in this circumstance where we weren’t told the truth I still wouldn’t recommend due to the nasty remarks and attitude received from the worker behind the counter. But I will say the nurses that preform the piercings are very professional and friendly. Makes the place look bad when there is an incompetent worker!! Especially a place where everyone else working there is certified (nurses). I would suggest having the piercers run the counter and phones. People like her really makes the business look bad. Was even told by a lady outside that heard us talking about the incident that there is a place studs right down the street that’s amazing and that there was a reason that Rowan was completely empty when we went in. But us not being from around here at all we gave it a chance. social media is going to hear about this one!!

When I go my ears pierced I could not feel a thing and Chelsea and Rachel were a great help! This is a great place to go and get your ears pierced and they do a great job.

I had such an incredible experience with Sarah. I was a walk in on a Friday night, almost closing time. Despite that, I was made to feel so welcomed. She was kind, gentle and efficient the entire process. It was my second piercing, so naturally I was a tad nervous. Thank you Polly for your patience and care with my daughter. We had a two part process with an evaluation of an old ear piercing that had a poor placement. Polly graciously checked the old piercing and made a recommendation for a new piercing that was safe and pretty. She took a great deal of time with us and was so kind. I was comfortable knowing that the peircings are done by nurses, but they also have an aesthetic eye taking into account the individual and what looks best on them. I would not go anywhere else in Charleston for ear piercing.

I had a good experience here at Rowan. I started to get a little skeptical from some of the recent reviews, but my appointment went great. The two girls were so nice and helpful. I got my second and third lobe done by Chelsea. I’ve had issues with past piercings from other locations, but these have been healing with no problems. Will definitely come back here when I’m ready for more.

I came for a piercing with my cousin and we were beyond satisfied with everything. We were drawn to the credibility of the piercers at Rowan because they are all registered nurses who use completely medically sterile equipment. We loved our experience so much that we came two days in a row. Chelsea was absolutely amazing- so knowledgeable and comforting during the process. We will be back for more!!

We were in Charleston to celebrate my 60th birthday. As we were walking on Friday I saw a business that did piercings and later on down the street I saw another one, Rowan, which is operated by nurses. I had no plans to get a piercing but when I saw that nurses do the piercings, I decided to get one. Me being a nurse I also felt Rowan would be the best choice. My experience was awesome. Very professional and did a thorough job explaining everything to me. I highly recommend Rowan for you next piercing.

Sarah did my aurical piercing and it was extremely professional. As someone who has had almost 30 piercings, she did a wonderful job. We talked about placement and scar tissue to find the right spot, and she was very reassuring when she went to pierce. I barely felt anything, she even told me it felt like going through butter haha. The experience was great and well worth the price

I went to Rowan to get the middle cartilage of my ear pierced and had a great experience. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. I had a needle piercing and it was almost completely pain free! I have had multiple piercings done at different locations, but Rowan is by far the best and I have had no issues with my new piercing! Normally I’d have a lot of swelling and redness, but I have had nothing so far! I highly recommend Rowan!!

I personally love this place The staff and nurses are so Nice and easy to talk to I did not have a problem telling them if I thought The placement was wrong or anything we spent 10 minutes on The placement I was very nervous but they explain the process and they let me get both ears done at the same time But the actual earrings themselves are pretty expensive but they have a beautiful selection and we Spent plenty of time getting the placement it did not feel like they were trying to rush me out the door they spent time making sure that I was comfortable and everything was going to be perfect with the placement so overall loved this place especially with it being on King Street

A very clean and welcoming space. A friend and I walked in & got chatting with the staff and I ended up getting a double piecing. They do use guns but the whole process was incredibly sterile and the jewelry is high quality and my piercings look and feel great. A great place for anyone if any age to add some fun to themselves.

Do not go here. please read. the woman who checked me in told me that theres NO DIFFERENCE between a needle piercing and a device piercing when i arrived, which is absolutely wrong. you pay less money to do the device piercing, and device piercings cause more tissue damage and have a longer healing time. the price for two needle piercings was going to be $70, and i was going to have to pay a minimum of $59 for one piece of jewelry. the woman that checked me in then told me that i *could* go down the street to studs for cheaper jewelry, but that they are cheaper because they use copper, nickel and other things in their jewelry versus rowans titanium jewelry. she openly talked poorly about their establishment and attempted to lightly convince me to keep my appointment. i went down to studs after canceling my appointment at rowan and they only use TITANIUM for their piercings. the woman at rowan told me a flat out LIE about their competitor down the street, and i got the same piercings i wanted at studs for $50 two piercings + $60 for the two jewelry versus $70 for two needle piercings + $118 for two of their cheapest pieces of jewelry. rowan also pierces out in the open of the store and only has one chair available. getting pierced at rowan is NOT WORTH THE COST or the DAMAGE for going the cheaper option of a perfectly safe device piercing. ALWAYS do your research before getting pierced!!

Got me in very quickly and was super easy!

I had my ears pierced at the Charleston Rowan store 9 weeks ago. My piercing still bleeds when I try to change the earring.Today 1/21/23 at 11:30 am I visited the store to see if a nurse could take a look at my ear piercing. I was rudely told by the person at the counter that they were too busy. She suggested I return when it wasn’t busy.Obviously it was all about selling another pair of earrings and revenue rather than taking care of a customer who just needed a check on the ears that they pierced. I drove from Georgia by the way. No thank you!
