Great service! Easy to make an appointment online. CLEAN.I havent gotten a piercing in 20 years, so I was a little apprehensive about getting my helix piercing redone.Coco (my piercer) did a great job explaining the procedure and aftercare. Pricing was upfront and transparent.I will definitely recommend the Hive to friends in town.

Very professional and clean, loved it here! I went to get my navel pierced with my mother a while after my 16th birthday, and the environment was very nice, and helped ease my anxiety. The ID checks being very thorough was great as well, it was a good sign of a professional place. I was given very thorough explanation and warnings, and waiting for the tools to sanitize was also a green flag. The credentials on the wall were impressive, and I felt even more at ease knowing that the staff are professionals, my piercer had been doing piercings longer than Ive been alive! The piercing itself went very quickly, two deep breaths and it was done, the pain was minimal, it truly was like a hard pinch. I was also given very detailed aftercare instruction. The jewelry was very high quality, zero infections or even a hint of rejection! Overall, I absolutely love this place. Im recommending it to all my friends who want to get piercings, and Im also planning on coming back here for my next ones

Update: owner called me in response to this review. He made sure I was taken care of and worked through the experience with me. Clarified his expectations in his shop and told me he would talk to the piercer. I feel much better after talking to him and about supporting their shop!‐----Do not get pierced by Coco!I had an unpleasant (almost traumatic) experience with the piercer of this shop.It started with a phone call as I was notifying him that I would be 5 minutes late. He immediately laid down the boundary that I would not be accepted for my session if I showed up any later. I walked in out of breath because I ran and was one minute late, then he rejected me and said I was too late. I convinced him, though, since I was only buying jewelry and changing it out. He continued to be impolite the entire experience. I hurried to pick out jewelry (he was rudely rushing me, after all, I was only 6 minutes late). My nervous system was way unregulated because of how he was speaking to me. He spoke to all other people the same way in the room, including his assistant. Short + demanding, not extending any kindness. My friend was in the waiting room and said that a woman told her she had been waiting 2 hours for her daughter to get a piercing for her birthday, they had gotten there on time and did not understand why they were waiting. And continued to say that he was rude to everyone, met with the same attitude. I am shook that he performs piercing on peoples bodies and treats them this way. Straight up traumatic! I left feeling like I shouldnt have supported their biz but was in a pinch to get new jewelry!It is extremely important that people feel safe with their piercers!

The rude experience found in many of the negative reviews are true..My wife and daughter just got back pretty upset about this place. Don’t take your kid there..The large man at the front desk was terribly rude and seemed miserable to be there. Some seriously ‘little man’ syndrome going on there. Attitude the whole time getting the personal info they required (but not necessary to have that info as we did some research on it). We are not too thrilled they have this personal info now, so don’t make the same mistake we did on that too..My 10 year old daughter wanted her ears pierced. We did the appointment for the consultation thing and none of the sign-in process was pleasant..After that they were waiting in the waiting room and another girl waiting there went to the bathroom. At that point the same front desk person came out to call on that kid in the bathroom and had serious attitude about her being in the bathroom. It was a huge deal I guess..My wife looked down at our daughter and our daughter was worried and sad. Our daughter told my wife she didn’t want them to do her piercings and she wasn’t comfortable there. My wife agreed as she had a lot of warning signs as well and they walked out..I’m proud of my wife and daughter for walking away from this toxic place. My daughter was so excited for weeks over this and even with that excitement she walked away. I get the feeling any further interaction would have not been great either. They should not say they do kids piercings because it’s obvious they very much dislike it.

I got my third lobes done and my upper helix done by Coco. I am scared of needles and Coco did a great job explaining the process, talked me through breathing and he was quick, which helped it not hurt. Literally just a pinch and I was done! The guy at the front desk also helped me and my husband make the choosing jewelry process easy and quick. He explained it all and helped me at checkout with how I can change my helix piercing when it heals. I will definitely recommend The Hive to anyone that is looking to get pierced!

Went in to get helix piercings changed out with Coco. Onyx was amazing and helped me pick out some new drip for all 3 piercings. Coco was incredible, full of knowledge and gently removed my old piercings and replaced them with beautiful gold adornments. Thank you all for the excellent experience.

They were very efficient and my piercing has super fast and relatively painless. They were a bit brusque, but not rude by any means. They answered all my questions and made sure I was happy with my piercing placement.

Definitely a great place to go to, Amanda did my nose piercing and she was amazing. Did a great job of explaining everything thoroughly and making sure I was comfortable during the piecing. Definitely book if you’re debating it!

My daughter and I came in today to get piercings and everyone was very nice, professional and very very clean. Coco cleaned everything and explained the entire process every step of the way. The best piercing experience Ive had in my life. Jewelry is top notch, knowledge and helpfulness of the staff is refreshing and comforting. I will recommend The Hive to anyone looking for body mods or jewelry. If you go anywhere else, youll be disappointed.

Super clean shop! Kiddo loved her earrings. They measured and kept the piercings even. My daughter said the guns hurt, this was nearly painless.

The piercing is kinda hidden 80$ on the website but then it cost her 150$ even getting basic jewelry. My friend got her nipples pierced. The piercer coco was slow about it and told her I dont use clamps he said her piercer said hes a freehand piercer. It caused her alot of pain

I got both nostrils and my septum pierced here and each experience was great. I have been so happy with every piece of jewelry, they’re all beautiful and the high quality has kept my piercings healthy. Coco and Onyx have been helpful and lovely to interact with. Would recommend The Hive to anyone looking for a piercing shop in the Springs.

I would give 5 stars, because Coco was awesome! But I dropped it down one because the person working the front desk/jewelry area was not super nice. Maybe having a bad day? But made me feel super unwelcome. Otherwise, great experience because my piercing looks great!

Went here on March 24 they did a excellent job, I got a daith piercing and it has healed without pain for the last couple of weeks. The piercers know what they are doing. There shop is clean and they have several different rooms were they do the piercings. The only thing is I wish they had more daith jewelry options. But otherwise this place knows what they are doing and definitely recommend.

This place is absolutely amazing. All my and my daughter’s piercings were done by Dustin. He is meticulous, attentive throughout the whole process, listens to your concerns, and gives absolutely best advice. His piercings are the work of art. The entire staff at the Hive is very professional, respectful, and knowledgeable. If you’re considering any kind of piercings, I cannot stress enough to choose a clean and professional place. For all your piercing needs, do not just go to the Hive, run there! You will be amazed with the work they do.

I got my conch pierced by Coco at The Hive and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve had a few piercings done in my lifetime, and Coco was the fastest and easiest I’ve ever had. It was so insanely quick I barely felt it. The front desk was so friendly and inviting, I’ll definitely be back! Thanks Coco!

Came to this place looking for a new septum ring and the employee there, Onyx, was AMAZING. He brought out a lot of pieces for me to look at, he measured my current piercing to compare to the others and made so many helpful suggestions. Got my 8th ear piercing here and it was the quickest and easiest one I have gotten compared to the other shops I have been to. Staff is professional and has a high standard of cleanliness. Coco did a great job! I love my new piercing. It’s also nice that they do a lot of education about cleaning and how to take care of your piercing! The jewelry here is a little pricey, but that’s something I was kind of expecting from a piercing shop.

I went there for the first time earlier today for a vertical labret with Coco. It was a great process, and Coco was extremely professional and let me know what he was doing the entire time. The staff member at the front desk, Onyx, was also very knowledgeable and accommodating. I would definitely go back here again.

Best piercing in town!! Covid killed our initial appointment years ago for a nose piercing. Regrettably, we went elsewhere last year. Worst mistake ever!!!Cody was our piercer this go. Thank goodness for his honesty, as my daughters anatomy was not equipped for the surprise belly button piercing in which I had initially booked.However, we ended with another nostril and tragus piercing for the daughters’ birthday- she could not be happier!! These guys are hands down across the board the best: knowledge, price, cleanliness and personality.(Dustin- don’t ever let Onyx go!! He is the funniest quirkiest dude I’ve ever met. Much love!)

The front desk did a great job of helping me pick out jewelry for a piercing I wanted to get done. They were super friendly. I’ve gotten quite a few piercings done here from some of the piercers and they all do an amazing job making sure you know what’s going to happen. Definitely recommend

This place was outstanding! As my first experience with getting piercings, they were very professional the whole time, and the person working at the front desk, Onyx, was incredibly helpful and patient with me. They answered all my questions and helped me to pick the jewelry that was both right for me and in my budget! My piercer, Cody, was also fantastic! Once again, extremely professional, verbally walking me through each step of what he was doing and what I could expect. This was a wonderful experience and I will undoubtedly be back for more!

I had an outstanding experience at The Hive, and I couldnt be happier with my piercing. Onyx was incredibly helpful during the paperwork and jewelry selection process. Their knowledge about jewelry and piercings made me feel confident in my choices. Cody, my piercer, was a true professional. He took the time to ensure the exact placement I wanted for my lower lip piercing and was extremely patient, allowing me to make adjustments until I was completely satisfied (I moved the dot at least 6x!). When it came time for the piercing, Codys precision and expertise shone through, resulting in a perfectly straight and precisely located piercing. He also provided valuable guidance on placement to avoid gum/tooth damage. These people took wonderful care of my 16 year old daughter getting her first piercing. Kind, patient, professional. Her piercer (Cody) took the time to explain every step and proceeded only with permission and agreement. The shop is clean and comfortable. The young man at reception was friendly and engaging while getting us set up; he treated us as friends. Would absolutely recommend this shop without reservation.Of note- while we were there, we did witness a minor being turned away for service because their guardian did not arrive with the required documentation. Please make sure that you read the instructions on the website when booking for a minor.

Went in to get a piercing today 23 Dec , Cody was the guy that did it. Super fun, very honest and friendly. Goes over everything with you prior to actually doing the piercing .Barley felt the needle go in , which was great! Got my left Helix done.Good selection of jewelry as well, reasonable prices .. also if the piercing doesn’t work out for whatever reason prior to getting it done, they won’t charge you!Clean work area, the waiting area is super clean, the cool kid at the front desk is super nice, never got his name.Definitely recommend this spot for your piercing needs/wants .

I went in on the 4th to get a surface anchor and the service was wonderful! I didnt catch their name but the person at the front was so rad and friendly. Coco was very professional and fast with it. They also both explained to me what comes with this piercing very well! I definitely recommend and Ill definitely be coming back lol. Thank you Hive and staff!

I was really excited to get my second’s pierced but they didn’t have the type of earrings I wanted. I understand company policy and everything but I showed up on time, and had all the correct information, and was still charged the cancellation fee because they didn’t have the type of jewelry I wanted. I’d still recommend this place to get your piercings done because the staff was very hospitable and the building was clean; but be prepared to either settle on jewelry or pay the cancellation fee.

Let me start by saying, I am a very conservative person when it comes to piercings and tattoos. I only had my ears pierced when I was 12 years old. I have never had another piercing, and I don’t have any tattoos. I wanted to do something special for my 40th birthday, so after doing some research, I found the Hive. I picked Cody to do my piercings. He was patient and kind, and explained everything very well. I also was able to pick out the jewelry I wanted with Onyx, who was equally helpful. For a person who felt out of their realm, they made me feel right at home, and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. I really love the way it turned out and they help my birthday be so special. I highly recommend! The only thing, you get what you pay, for they are extremely sanitary, and their jewelry is not cheap. So prepared to spend some money to treat yourself!

I adore The Hive, Ive gotten my fourth dual earlobes, two helixes, my navel, and nipples done here by Coco! Every time Ive gone its been understanding, considerate, and a smooth process. All the jewelry used there is high and body-safe quality. I only go there since Ive moved to Springs and I love the entire staff. (Plus Coco is so fast and makes the piercing process easier.) I love it there. ❤️

Great experience today getting 2 ear piercings (lobe and faux rook). Thank you Onyx and Cody for taking good care of me. The piercings themselves were fairly painless. My appointment was ~3 hrs ago and I basically forgot I even had them done. There is zero pain now. They clearly explained what was happening as well as after care. I won’t hesitate to return for my next piercing. Photo was taken ~15 minutes after the piercing. My ears look pretty happy considering they just got 2 holes in them. Cody is an expert. Thanks again!

First time I came here I was nervous, but everything went amazing! I came in a second time to get my piercing changed and again everything was amazing! Cody was my piercer and he’s so nice and professional. The place itself is clean and onyx was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend them.

I like their location, reputation, and variation of jewelry types and costs. The only thing to be prepared for is1) if bringing a minor in for piercing... Make sure you get a school ID and have actual birth certificate AND to sign up for Appt time AND consultation time. I was expecting a follow up to make the consultation time and showed up for Appt time and they made it the consultation and had to make another Appt time.2) the people there know their stuff, but are very straight forward and appear to expect their patrons to be fluent in piercing protocol and know-how. So you cant be shy to ask questions if confused or are a newbie.3) now all piercing technicians/artists are comforting people. We had Coco who is very knowledgeable and good, but for older people and not quite catering to a younger audience. Cody appears to be a bit more accommodating with an easy personality for a younger or newbie crowd. Dustin was recommended for kiddos, but has VERY limited availability.4) location is in downtown Springs, fabulous, but know that it is metered parking.So only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is for the appearance of impatience for younger or newbie patrons of a piercing shop. But I knew I wanted to take my 8 yr old to a professional piercer vs a teenage employee at Claires Boutique with a piercing gun.**PS... My 8 yr daughter loves her piercings, earrings and appreciated Coco.

Do not go here!!! They pierced my septum and periced it completely wrong. I had it for a day then had to get it removed because it was so messed up. Even the piercer who removed it said it was periced in the complete wrong spot.

Extremely happy with my experience with hive body piercing. I came in as a walk-in and even though they were completely booked for the day they got me in in between appointments WHICH was very nice of them! During the actual piercing process they were very avid about showing me how the equipment they would us on me is clean and sterile. Told me everything they were going to do before doing it. They were friendly and kind with all my questions. I would never want to go anywhere else to get pierced, Dustin was so kind.

Last Saturday I got my belly button pierced by Coco. That was my very first piercing outside of my lobes and couple of cartilage piercings that weren’t done at a piercing parlor. I went by myself and was super nervous because I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Onyx was very kind when greeting me, and Coco took his time with everything. From sterilizing the jewelry and his work space to making sure my piercing was perfect, he was awesome. I’ll definitely be coming back for future piercings.

Cody was super friendly, very knowledgeable, and made the coolest anodized ring for my new piercing. He walked me through the whole process and it was quick and easy. I felt very well taken care of.

I originally was not going to leave a review because I get that everyone has bad days and piercers are people, but I wanted to put a warning out. Before the one I am writing about, I had gotten 8 piercings at this shop and I love all of them. The placement and pieces are perfect and the experience of getting pierced was as enjoyable as getting stabbed can be (haha). But I went in at the end of August to get my septum done and immediately was shocked by the pain of it (keep in mind this was my 11th piercing, I know they dont feel good, but I was choking on air and had tears all over my face, but I assumed that was just because septum piercings are more sensitive than ear cartilage). Immediately, the piercer apologized and offer to redo the piercing, so I dont fault the accountability, but I dont want to get immediately re-pierced after the first one hurt so bad. I partially blame myself because in the moment I just wanted to move on so I said I liked the placement, paid, and left. But not even 2 hours later I was in so much pain (talking hurt, I did not want to move my face at all, and chewing was painful) so I tried to take the piercing out. I could not undo the jewelry and was only making the area inflamed so I called the shop and said I was having sensory problems with the piercing because I was definitely blaming myself and just assuming other people had insanely high pain tolerances to deal with it. I was told on the phone to book an appointment for the next day, so I called other shops to see who did walk-ins and who was still open because I was frantic to get it out. After going to a shop that said they could help me, every piercer that looked at the placement of the septum gasped, and one explained to me that I would have to wait a couple minutes for their most experienced piercer because she did not trust herself to be able to take it out without hurting me. All of the other piercers in the store urged me to push for some kind of refund, one claiming that the shop should not have let me walk out of that store with something like that. The piercer who helped me explained that the piercing was put through the hard part of the cartilage, which is why it kept bleeding so much. I called Hive the next day, understanding that even if the piercing was messed up, I still have an obligation to pay for the workers time, and tried to see if I could get any kind of reimbursement. I could not return the ring I had (even though I had no more of a use for it) but I understand it is for sanitary purposes. I still want to stress that I hold no ill will towards the piercer, I completely understand everyone has a bad day, but being charged ~120 dollars for a poorly placed piercing, and then not giving me anything besides a that sucks on the phone is really frustrating as someone who has been regularly going here for years. I really like the staff here and usually had good experiences, but I felt very frustrated at a lack of any accommodation for a messed up job on their part.

I wanted some new piercings while traveling through Colorado and these guys were everything I was looking for. After some rough pierces and bad healing from piercings, I always look for places that specialize in piercings or permanent jewelry (aka not a tattoo shop). The staff was very patient while I looked through the different styles to try and match what I already had done and when I mentioned I was traveling back across the country a few days later Cody took extra time to look up people back in my area he would recommend if I ran into issues with the healing process and explained why he would be using certain gauges with swelling due to elevation changes. I think “you get what you pay for” is the best way to describe this place and the services. If if getting a piercing is an afterthought for you because you saw your local tattoo artist was running a special this probably isn’t your place but if you want quality, higher-end services specifically for piercings and jewelry then these guys are the best.

We brought our 10 year old to The Hive to get her ears peirce for her Birthday. I cant say enough about Cody he was amazing!!! He was so gentle and kind to us and our daughter. He explained everything to her as he did it, and let her go at her own pace. He was very clean and professional and hooked her up with some candy afterward as well as offered to peirce her stuffy. There was lots to chose for jewelry and she was able to custom what she wanted.Thank you Cody for making our baby girls birthday perfect!

A unique experience offered in Colorado Springs. A place dedicated to only piercings, with professionals that will provide you with their expertise. Exactly what I was looking for. The placement is perfect and that was my main concern and why I was happy to come across this place.

I had a super great experience! Everyone there was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Cody pierced my belly button and walked me through the entire process patiently and kindly. I definitely recommend Cody for anyone a bit nervous about getting pierced. There was a lot of really nice jewelry options for a reasonable price. I will definitely be back!

UPDATE: turns out Cody had no clue what he was doing. I went to an actual professional piercer. Cody didn’t even use clamps for my HCH piercing. He had no clue what he was doing. I feel bad for not doing my research before coming here. I went to another shop. Not only did the other shop say Cody messed up, he could have done some serious damage. Please. Do your research. go to a different place. I found a better place called, Find Kind Jewelry and piercing. Save yourself the trouble and money. Go to an experienced piercer. Cody became extremely frustrated with me. I wasn’t able to do the vch So he suggested the triangle. Cool. Little did I know, Cody had NO CLUE WHAT HE WAS DOING! when I moved, he got upset. He was more worried about having to go to the ER if he got pricked while piercing me. Idk why this guy didn’t have a thimble like most piercers. I noticed that the table I was pierced on wasn’t sterilized. The prices listed on the website are false. There is a 50 dollar deposit that doesn’t even get applied to the price of the piercing. They don’t tell you that until after the fact. I paid 189 + 50 dollar deposit. I didn’t get the piercing I originally wanted. And Cody was a complete jerk. Why are broke people so rude? Whatever. Don’t go to this shop. You’ll get treated like a paying customer, which means you, the consumer, won’t be satisfied with the services or the prices or the people running the place.

Called and spoke to a gentleman on the phone for a quote. He was very friendly and helpful, and assured me that if I was able to make it over to the facility that the piercer would be able to work with me on pricing.The piercing is $40 AND the jewelry is $40, but only because they use titanium and nothing else. This is NOT dictated on the website when trying to book. The gentleman on the phone said that the piercer would work with me, as far as using surgical steel instead to lower the price a little.$80 is a lot for one piercing. Doesn’t leave much to tip with either. I show up and the piercer Cody says, “that guy doesn’t even know what he’s talking about. Sorry you wasted your time.” When your first perception of a business is one employee trash talking another, there is OBVIOUSLY dysfunction. All around bad experience, I will go to the Holey Grail for all my piercings moving forward!

This was my first time at The Hive.I went in for a septum piercing and the experience exceeded my expectations.Cody was very knowledgeable and patient with me the throughout the entirety of my appointment, he helped answer all of my questions and guided me through some undecided choices.During the piercing, Cody was considerate of the fact that I was nervous and he talked me through each step of the process.The shop is very clean, well organized and featured a good variety of high quality jewelry. I’m happy that I found this place and I’m already planning my next visit.

I had a TERRIBLE experience. Nothing about my experience was good. The guy that pierced my ears was rude, the only things he said to me were the things he has to say. I spent $500 to get my ears pierced, the earring on my left side fell put 3 days after getting it pierced. When I called the shop to find out what they could do for me the guy on the phone told me it was my fault and that I would be charged full price. The earring on my right side had to be SURGICALLY REMOVED from my ear!! The earring was put on too tight and the back was lodged into my ear. It honestly would have been a more enjoyable experience to set $500 on fire and watch it burn.

Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful jewelry, and efficient piercers!! I’ve been here for my nostril a couple years ago, and just saw CoCo Stabs yesterday for my nipples! He was so professional and incredibly quick, that the pain was totally bearable. I came in so unbelievably nervous, and he + front desk made the process so seamless and easy. Will definitely be returning again for my next piercings!!

I really wanted to like this place but they pierced my nose ridiculously low. It looks goofy. And the jewelry is crazy overpriced.

I have been a fan of Cody’s work since 2017. He has done several piercings for me. All of the piercings I have received from him have healed quickly and correctly following his aftercare. He is knowledgeable and professional but also makes you feel comfortable. Good vibes all around. I’m not from Colorado, but I will be traveling across states to get my future piercings done by him because the quality is great.As far as pricing goes - The pricing at this shop is pretty fair for both jewelry and service. If you’re going to get a piercing done I’d personally recommend going through a dedicated piercing shop, like Hive, instead of a combo tattoo/piercing shop which may have cheaper prices but the quality will be affected in the long run. The only piercing I’ve ever had reject and scar was from a combo shop that had seemly good reviews. As I’ve said previously, all of my body jewelry I’ve received from Cody has healed wonderfully without scarring using the shops aftercare advice.Offering some words of wisdom with healing pieces - Don’t touch them! Listen to what your piercer tells you for aftercare, trust me, they know how to heal a piercing.

My initial interaction with the piercer handling my service was not great costumers service and bedside manor. The jewelry is pretty. I was treat you like an burden.After talking with Dustin the shop owner. I would like to add I think the piercier I was dealing with may have been having a bad or off day. Dustin was very kind and called to ask what he can do to improve and make better experiences for his customers. It shows he cares.Also Onyx at the front is awesome.

Absolutely amazing service. Cody had an amazing attitude throughout the entire appointment. He was incredibly knowledgeable about what piercings would look good on my sister and I and the technique used to pierce the ear. I was skeptical when he said the needle used wouldn’t be as painful as regular needles but it was true. My daughter has very patiently been waiting to turn 14 to get her nose done. She’s got an early December birthday so we decided to go for it on Christmas Eve as a Christmas/birthday present. She was very nervous and very indecisive on where exactly she wanted it placed. Cody was amazing. He was patient, kind and gentle and even joked around with her to make her more comfortable!!! This place was so clean and professional!!! I really recommend Cody if you are having a child getting a piercing or if you are nervous. He won’t rush you and is very sweet!!! very recommended!!!

I got my nose pierced by Coco. In my online booking I mentioned I liked gold and moonstone. When I arrived, he had read my message prior and immediately showed me the gold and moonstone options available. He was transparent of all of the costs upfront and also gave me a course in aftercare and asked me multiple times if I had any questions. He made me feel very comfortable during the piercing process and made sure that I felt okay before leaving, post piercing. I love my piercing and my experience at The Hive! Thanks Coco!

Don’t make the mistake of touching your piercings when showing them what you want changed or you’ll get yelled at multiple times. Also SUPER overpriced. They are selling absolutely tiny 18k gold earrings for about 20% of what my wedding band cost with lab grown diamonds and 14k gold. They do a good job with the piercings themselves and exchanges, but they will be judgy the entire time and overcharge you.

Have gone here to get pierced for a long time have always had a great experience with the piercers went in today and whoever they have working the front desk can use a complete attitude adjustment I left due to said attitude lol

I cannot recommend The Hive highly enough! Dustin was knowledgeable, professional, and went out of his way to be helpful. From the beginning I was indecisive about my jewelry choice so he oxidized a stud for me to get the the exact color I was wanting. (added bonus: he explained the oxidizing process and allowed me to watch which was super interesting!) During the nose piercing itself, he talked to me through the entire process so it was enjoyable and relaxing. In the end, I completely love my nose piercing and I’m so glad I chose the hive. From start to finish, it was an excellent experience. I came in to get two additional lobe piercings done to fill the space between my helix and existing 4 lobe piercings. They listened to me and helped me choose earrings to work for that placement while I heal. Service was top notch, pricing was upfront and very competitive. Cody made sure I was relaxed and comfortable throughout, explaining things before and during so I was never surprised. The piercing itself was easy and relatively painless. By that night, the swelling was down and I felt great. Ive slept on that side with no discomfort and theres no bruising or other issues. Cody made sure I had multiple ways to contact him and the shop if I needed anything and told me to come back in a couple weeks to switch down to shorter posts as healing progresses. Those shorter posts are very affordable and I look forward to going back. Great place! I would highly recommend them.

If I could leave zero stars I would. First I called them because I wanted to add a piercing to my appointment, I left my name, the reason i was calling and my phone number. Never heard back from them. I booked an appointment for a nose piercing but apparently my appointment didnt go through. I went anyways with my friends to get everything sorted out, we figured out why my appointment didnt go through and I was told to reschedule for another in a few days. Well my friend was getting some piercings done and when I was sitting in the waiting room waiting on my friend I over heard a piercer and the guy that told me to reschedule for another day offer a 6:30 FOR THAT DAY to someone else who walked in shortly after me and this person was only debating on getting a piercing! Seriously? From what I gathered they new each other. So seems to me they will put people they know before other customers. My friends and I wont be going back there. They may be professional when it comes to the actual piercing, but they arent professional when it comes to their customer service. My advice, stick with a tattoo shop when it comes to piercings. At least they will treat everyone equally and according.

I got my second lobe piercing here yesterday and it was great! Everything was super clean and the environment was chill, it was super clear that everyone there cared about and were passionate about what they do. Cody was awesome about walking me through the whole process, I went in super nervous but he made sure I was okay the whole way through. On top of this, the jewelry they had was all super sick. The whole experience was amazing, especially considering the only other piercing I’ve got was from Claire’s

I was very apprehensive of Cody at first because he came off as a little cold, but once I was taken to the back for my jewelry change, he was much friendlier. VERY expensive for even just a jewelry change, but very clean and professional.

The atmosphere of the store is very welcoming and calm. They have the largest collection of jewelry that I have ever seen in a shop. I got my philtrum pierced by cody and he was absolutely wonderful! He let me take my time to choose what gem I wanted and explained all of the care very thoroughly. He also was very precise and has an amazing ability for making the piercing be in the perfect spot. I never felt uncomfortable by him or any of the staff. This was my 4th piercing and I will becoming back for all my mine from now on. Highly recommend for first timers or minors!

I am very pleased with the Hive Body Piercing! I was surprising my 16 year old daughter with a nose piercing, we got caught in traffic and missed our appointment time. We were told there were no other openings that evening, and we needed to reschedule.I was beyond frustrated and was quite rude (turned into a Karen) with McKayla. McKayla remained very polite and professional. While waiting I went into another nearby piercing shop that was no where near as clean or professional.Since I had driven in from out of town and was still in the area she told me she would call me if one of the other 2 appointments did not make it in that evening.She held up to her word! We were able to get the piercing we wanted and were treated very well. The office was clean, every step of the process was explained to us. When my daughter picked her nose ring they held it up by her nose to show the size and what it would look like.They explained why they use the jewelry they use and how we should not have problems with it. They explained that as her nose heals she might need to come in and get the stud adjusted. I was very impressed! If we ever need any other piercings or have questions this is the place we will take our business!

Cody did my septum piercing and was amazing! I was nervous about having to go in alone but felt supported the entire time. The staff was amazing and made me feel so comfortable! Cody walked me through everything that was going on and constantly asked how I was doing. The only thing is they did not have the curved barbells (at the time) that I was expecting to get, so I got a retainer instead. So if you are worried about that just double check that they have what you want when you make the appointment. The retainer is working out great for me right now because I need it flipped up for work, but I will definitely go back here once I can start changing out the jewelry! Definitely recommend this place for any piercings but septum for sure!

Cody did my PA about five months ago, piercing went great and healed perfectly with his care instructions. Dustin started my scrotal ladder yesterday, went just as well as the PA. I got my helix pierced and had a great experience. The staff was incredibly helpful, kind, and funny. The shop itself is incredibly clean and you can tell they take their clients safety very seriously. Their prices are totally reasonable and they have a great selection of high quality jewelry. I didnt have an appointment, but the wait time wasnt bad at all for a walk-in especially given the shop is in an incredibly busy part of town. Im so glad I decided to get pierced here.

Got my lip pierced almost 2 weeks ago and they were phenomenal. They answered all my questions and even reserved the jewelry that I picked out. My piercer Dustin did an awesome job. The initial pierce didnt hurt at all and aftercare explanations were very understandable.I went back in after a week and a half to make sure my piercing wasnt embedding in and they were able to get me in to do a quick look over.They are spectacular, super clean, very friendly, all out fantastic. Very highly recommended.

I waited for my major piercing to heal before writing a review. I am not new to body piercings, but I came in for a nipple piercing. The staff is nice, professional, and the place is clean, but they werent discrete about my piercings - talking about it loud enough for the entire lobby to hear. The piercing process went smoothly, and after they hurt as expected, but after 2 years they just wouldnt heal. I took them out and found out they used the incorrect bar (I never changed them). Because of this experience Ive never gone back, but my new piercer redid them once I let them heal again completely, they feel great, used the proper bar, etc. I followed all of their guidelines for it to heal, also. Just a rare bad experience I guess.

My 17 year old wanted a piercing for her birthday. Unfortunately, she couldnt find her birth certificate, but I had a photo copy of it. They wouldnt take it. We showed up for our appointment, they turned us away. And now Im being charged the 20 dollars for a cancelation fee?! I can understand if you dont show up for your appointment, but we did. Her friend, who is 18, had an appointment at a different place. The lady at the other place was nice and understanding. She took the photo copy, plus it was less expensive. Disappointed in The Hive.

Did a walk in and they were able to fit me in for my piercings! Everything went so smoothly and I felt pretty confident with the staff. Dylan was my piercer and he was gentle and walked me through the entire process. After my piercings, I even did a consult for another piercing! Totally satisfied with overall experience and I will absolutely be setting up an appointment for my next piercing soon!

Honestly really unhappy with the quality of the piercings I got from here. I had my second lobes pierced by Coco. It felt like he was rushing through the process, and that left me walking out with uneven piercings. This has made it super frustrating trying to buy jewelry for them now as any hoops i put in look off.

I really loved everything about my experience here, Charley was very thorough with all the information he gave us about different piercings and was just a top notch dude right from the bat, answered all our questions and showed us examples of the stud we were getting and gave us advice on how to take care of them, Overall very cool dude. Cody who was our piercer did an amazing job, he was very personable, talked us through the whole procedure and continued to do it as he was going through all the steps, he made sure I liked where the placement of the piercing would go, he made sure that I was comfortable, asked how I was feeling through the whole thing. The actual piercing process itself was basically painless (I didnt cry which for me is amazing cause crying is my thing). Everything was very sterile and precise. To be honest an absolute work of art the whole shop and its people. 100% gonna get any other piercings here.

Went in for the first time to get some new jewelry in a conch piercing that I had messed with and irritated, and the staff fit me in super quickly. The team there helped me pick out some awesome jewelry and the person who switched it out (I believe his name was Dylan) was super knowledgeable and gentle. Ive been pierced by Dustin before, years ago. Even back then he made sure that I was comfortable and okay before piercing me. That hasnt changed a bit since 5 years ago! Hes extremely reliable and precise. As nervous as I was to be repierced, he made sure to calm me down beforehand just like before. With having 17 piercings already, Dustin is the absolute best at what he does and I will always recommend him.The shop is super clean and everyone is extremely friendly, its just a great environment in general.

Im very unsatisfied with the service i got here , i went in to do some simple jewelry changes, i just needed shorter bars for some healed piercings, first the piercer measured my jewelry while i was standing in the lobby which i found strange but i didnt question it much, after that i was told it was gonna be almost 100 dollars which i thought was ridiculous but still continued, then i was brought back to the piercing room where i was told to lay down, i asked if i could sit up as i have only gotten piercings/changed jewelry while sitting up, i was told no so i layed down everything was fine but at the end the piercer said there was a small gap at the bottom of one of the eyebrow bars , i said its fine as long as its better than it was when i came in, after i left i was looking in the mirror and realized one of the bars is slightly longer than the other one and i got a bit upset but didnt think about it again until , i was messing with the other eyebrow bar and realized it wasnt screwed on all the way so i went to the bathroom mirror to try to fix it, i found out that the balls dont even screw into the bar correctly !!!!!! im very upset with this experience and i will never be back!!!!!!!!

She asked about jewelry and was able to let me see how it looked on me before I made my purchased. Coco was awesome. Very respectful and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. Was in last night to have my 6-year-old daughter’s ears pierced for her bday (she also convinced me to do mine before her!). Dustin was extremely patient, kind, and thorough consulting with us and making sure she felt comfortable and excited for the experience, and totally making me feel at ease as her father. I appreciated the level of professionalism with all of the required documentation/paperwork/verification and levels of sanitation they took, definitely no corners being cut. They put on a killer children’s music playlist without us even noticing until my daughter was delighted to hear a song from Trolls come on while she got pierced! They even called me up after we left to let me know I forgot to grab my aftercare spray, and Coco walked it around the block to hand deliver it to us while we ate dinner at Oskar Blues, totally above and beyond!Dustin was absolutely stellar all around, the rest of the staff were great, piercings look and feel awesome, and we will definitely be back for any other piercing needs!

The shop is hospital clean! Meg pierced my nipples she was was beyond comforting, walked me through what the piercing entailed, was very informational on cleaning and taking care of my piercings! Was quick, nearly painless, the spot they pierced it in was carefully chosen as they want it to be in the correct spot for your face structure, and you can even choose a jewelry piece to have anodized to your preferred color. I love my jewelry and my piercing.

Making the appointment was super easy I just sent a facebook message to the shop after a quick Google search of the best piercing shops in town and my experience definitely exceeded my expectations. The front desk guy I believe his name was Charley was very welcoming and professional, he took his time to explain the procedure pricing after care etc. Dustin the shop owner is an awesome guy very respectful and honest and a badass lol. I am so happy with my piercings and cant wait to see you guys again in a few months. Much love and appreciation.

The staff at The Hive is very helpful and knowledgeable. They are well trained and experienced, and are certainly trustworthy. Their jewelry is high quality and comfortable. I went to buy an earring to keep permanently in one of my piercings, which was almost closed up. They inserted it into my ear for me with no extra charge painlessly. I am very pleased with my experience!

Just got my second lobes and a conch piercing with Coco at the hive and it was a great experience! Everyone is super friendly and professional, the place is very clean, and they make you feel so comfortable while you are getting pierced. The hive was a wonderful experience. I got my tragus pierced by Cody and he explained every step of the process to me. Honestly it didnt hurt any worse than popping an ear pimple. The environment was clean, friendly, and they had plenty of options for your starter jewlery. They explained the cleaning process and overall I felt comfortable getting my piercing here.

I went to get my septum pierced today with Dylan today. He was so nice, made sure I knew what was happening each step of the way, and took plenty of time to make sure my septum piercing was perfectly straight. I love it.The place was so sterile and the process in general is very informative. I will forever recommend this place to everyone :)

Hubby and I have had all of our piercings done by these guys even before they opened The Hive. There is no one else we trust to pierce us. The professionalism of staff, cleanliness of the shop and quality of jewelry is simply the best you will find. Also the APP certification is always appreciated. We now live out of state but still only get piercings done at The Hive. Dustin and Meg are the best! When we wanted our infants ears done they told us they don’t pierce babies but recommended another stellar shop in Denver, Sol Tribe, that was also APP and Casey did a great job on our little girl’s ears. Would tell anyone looking to invest in their body art to use this shop!

Another fantastic experience at Hive. This is the 4th piercing that I’ve gotten from Dustin and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. He’s professional, gentle, and works efficiently while still making you comfortable and informed about the process. I appreciate his piercing style. Ive been here twice for my kids piercings, amazing people and totally made us feel comfortable. They really take their time and you are 100% the focus. They double and triple check that everything is good and they pay very close attention to details. Would 100% recommend them for anything you need.

I had my Nostril peirced by Dustin and a week later my eyebrown by Coco. They are both awesome, and both made me feel comfortable! Miklaela upfront was great about explaining eveything from the aftercare to the jewelry. Prices were really good in my opinion. I came today for a daith piercing, and I feel very compelled to write a review. I was pierced by Megs, and it was a great experience! The girl at the front desk (forgive me, I forgot her name) and Megs were so kind and knowledgeable!!! I was also really impressed that it smelled like a hospital as soon as I walked in, so it should tell you its very clean. They are a little pricey, but thats what you get with quality. I went into this place with a few friends to get my tragus pierced. I was excited yet nervous for the pain that everyone talks about but Dustin did an awesome job. He explained every detail of the process and was very professional. This was my first piercing shop experience and it was a great experience. Not sure if it was just me but I felt no pain at all. The place was super clean as well. Sadly I was visiting from Arizona if not I would go back soon to get another piercing. Definitely a place worth checking out.

Meagan (Megs) did my VCH piercing today and Thursday was running the front. Both were wonderful! The preparation and procedure was a breeze, Meagan made me feel completely relaxed and confident. She walked me through every step, and was very professional! Thursday helped me pick my custom jewelry, was very sweet and welcoming. Definitely the best piercing experience Ive ever had, I totally trust them and highly recommend The Hive for all piercing needs!

First, he missed the spot on the ear where we wanted the piercing. I know what i requested and it was sightly lower than that, which makes a huge difference because where he pierced was partially on a hole that we didnt want re-opened. Second, their website says Earlobe(Single): This appointment is for a single earlobe piercing only. (..10+ no consult needed). 10 plus to them means, over 10. 10 plus to me means it includes 10 and those above 10. Third, they require a birth cert and id for even just a child consultation. So to even just talk to the child they want proof of age. Third, after an ear piercing on a child is done, they want you to schedule another appt to get a shorter earring post for ~$17. For this appt, once again they want the birth cert and id despite the fact that you already proved the childs age on the piercing appt. So they wont take the child to a room without proof, even though they already had it!!!! On the positive side, at least they sold us the shorter post. Fourth, we wanted the narrowest gauge thickness, but after purchasing the shorter post we realized that they didnt give us the narrowest gauge thickness, meaning that they have been expanding/widening my daughters ear holes for 6 weeks, ugh. Fifth, they wouldnt let my younger child in the room, even though shes very well behaved, so i had to find a babysitter for that ~45 mins. If you visit, i would recommend that you double check that theyre giving what you request and that youre ok with them missing the spot. Also, booking a child appt requires jumping through several hoops and can be frustrating.Positive: the piercer and front desk were friendly, good with my child, and for the most part patient. They didnt charge for the free consultation they canceled because they wouldnt speak to my child without an id or cert. They showed us how to remove a non butterfly backing earring.

By far, the best piercing studio in town - clean, professional, and friendly. Dustin has done a couple of my piercings over the years and Im so pleased that he now has his own studio. I was a walk in to get my philtrum / medusa pierced and they fit me in - in and out quickly but I still got top quality service and attention. Took my 17 yr old son to have his nose pierced. Its his first piercing. Megan was fantastic! She answered all our questions, walked us thru every step, was fun, sweet, friendly and helpful. Amazing place!!! After almost pulling my new piercing completely out, Dustins apprentice, Dillon, did an amazing job of getting it back in place painlessly! (A week into the healing process, even!) You know youve found a great shop when the apprentices are better than most other places full time piercers!!!

We booked a consultation for my 5 year old a day prior to attending this shop. I’m sure this place would be fine if you were an adult looking to get a procedure done, but we booked for 6 and didn’t get in to even have the consultation until closer to 6:30. They will not do same day piercings for anyone under 14. Staff isn’t kid friendly and there are naked photos, scary posters and the F word scattered throughout the parlor. Their jewelry selection is slim. We felt very out of place due to a very cold uninviting feeling. We just wanted to find a good clean child friendly place for our daughter to have a happy experience at. If you are looking for a place to get your child’s ears pierced at, I would definitely look elsewhere.

Got my service anchors that were on my lower back removed because one of them was halfway out anyways.... was nervous about it because i knew it would hurt!!! When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted with a friendly face of Mary and I was treated with respect and was offered honest prices. Megz was awesome to say the least. Although I had to cancel last minute, she still got me in before closing. She was able to relate to me as a professional and as a friend. when I walked in the shop its very clean and everything is sterilized With written documentation. She offered me a care kit that has me very confident that I am in good hands and will be back for another.

Got a daith with the hopes that it will help severe migraines. Megan was wonderful and answered all my questions. She was very professional, and performed a quick and almost pain free piercing. The place has great décor and is very clean. They obviously maintain very high standards with regards to being sterile, etc. Overall an awesome experience! A poor experience for desperate travelers. As exclusive and cool as this place may seem they turned away 4 customers with “no appointment” only wanting to look at a simple nose stud, mind you this was only 30 min after opening and the shop was not busy.. as a worker was standing outside on a smoke break already! We all were masked and could’ve been out in 5 min tops, my sister and I were ready to potentially drop a lot of money sporting over 28 piercings between the two of us. But they simply turned us away with no chance to compromise. I would not recommend this store if you’re in a bind or traveling through. Not helpful and very poor customer service from the man with the beard and nose bridge piercing.

The piecer Meg was soooo sweet. She was super fast as well and walked me through my septum piercing step by step which was so calming. She even let me know when she is about to pierce. I followed Dustin from another shop to The Hive which he owns. I waited over a year to get another piercing until he opened. Hes phenomenal! Megs was his apprentice and does incredible work too! I wont go to anyone else. Ive had my septum, nostril and upper ear done by Dustin. And today I got my philtrum pierced there.

I went into the shop just needing some new jewelry super simple. Unfortunately I was not good enough because I didnt have an appointment I guess ... I was going to make a purchase however after that I walked out and went elsewhere. To a place that i wont be treated like a customer not an inconvenience to the employee he was much too annoyed by me Im glad I did leave worthless.

Definitely, recommend. Megz did my daith and lip. It was a great exp. My mom (who is 60) also got her daith pierced. It was super clean. Good selection of piercing jewelry that they can customize for you. Friendly people. Parking was a breeze. Definitely would go here again if Im even in Colorado springs. Oh and their prices are amazing too. I live in Kansas city and you would pay double or even triple what they charge there here And also have to book out 2 to 3 months in advance.

My experience today was amazing! Meagan made me feel so good about getting a peircing. I went in by myself bc I feel I owe myself a little present for my birthday in a couple weeks. So yesterday my daughters went to another piercing studio; big mistake! Ben is the most unprofessional person she has encountered in her life as of yet and he told her that she is fat hence she is rejecting her navel piercing. He pierced her nostril with the metal turned the wrong way! There is more but I wont bore you. She was in pain all night; this is the girl that has an extremely high pain threshold. My other daughter didnt get pierced by Ben.Thank goodness Pierre was able to squeeze in time for my girls today.You took the time to explain the procedures and answer all the questions that we had. You treated us with respect and kindness. Both of my daughters had wonderful experiences today.Thank you Pierre you excel at your craft.My girls and I are so happy that we went to you and will return.

If youre bringing a minor/child they can be pretty difficult. Just save yourself the hassle and ask everything upfront. They need a child ID and consultation so make sure you understand that before going forth. They cancelled my daughters appt twice for a consultation instead of making time for it in that day with a week ahead They just flat canceled it. I understand theres always a policy but a little flexibility would have been nice. They called a couple hrs ahead to ask my childs age when I told them over and over again.

Ivery been pierced by Dustin before (who was wonderful and very professional) and I got pierced by Megan last night. She was super professional, awesome cleanliness standards, and made me feel super comfortable. I wouldnt go anywhere else in the springs.

Pricey but they did a good job. Angel did my septum piercing and she did well. Had Megs double check it. My nose is slightly crooked so the piercing looked a little crooked at first. They told me if I wasnt happy she can re do it today or within a few weeks. I let it heal and now it falls straight (my former septum did something simular). They gave me plenty of aftercare information, contact information and a punch card. Fairly quick and easy.

Megz was so attentive and patient with my 3, almost 4, year old! She absolutely is the best I’ve dealt with in regards to piercing! I will recommend her to anyone and everyone looking for a new piercing. Plus, her jewelry selection is absolutely gorgeous!

Super unfriendly guy with a scraggly beard smoking in front of the door informed my sisters and I that we would not be able to buy some jewelry for our nose piercings without an appointment.... two of us are military and traveling and needed some quality jewelry to replace the spacers that were being worn while in uniform. Surely this guy was not the owner? Any shop that’s going to turn away three people willing to drop $100 plus each on new jewelry while their store is completely empty is not very business savvy. And if covid is the concern, we all approached kindly with masks... even asking if we could pay for some basic nose studs or rings and have them brought outside? The answer was no. Pretty sad that a small business could not find a compromise that was going to benefit both parties.

I was able to get an appointment day of and they were very kind and helpful. Cant say the same for my first experience at Claires lol. 10/10

Everybody has an off day, but not everyone has the humility to apologize and make it right. These guys started rough with our time and didn’t seem to understand what we needed, but after we told them how they were coming across, they apologized and slowed down. Then they listened and helped. I never expect perfection, just nice people who are experts and humble. It’s obvious these people are GOOD people, who are experts that will do the right thing. I highly recommend. Get your piercings here!
