I walked in to discuss a repair of a virgin mary tattoo that I wanted more american-traditional-style, and to have a more feminine and Mexican appearance, as most american traditional virgin mary’s look that way. Instead of even having to schedule anything, he did it as a walk in! he free handed details on the existing tattoo, which he used as the stencil for the coverup/repair. He literally gave my tattoo a facelift and makeover on whim😭❤️! It was super impressive. based on my experience with Sushil it’s obviously a huge talent & skill of his. Finding an artist to cover up or repair an existing tattoo can be pretty challenging and costly but I had the best experience here. He communicated super clearly throughout the whole process about all his ideas and my different options and told me when he was doing different things and why etc. cannot recommend this shop enough!

Definitely satisfied with my experience and in love with my tattoo! Walked in with my own design and met with Jonathan. I let him know what I was interested in and what I wanted tweaked with my design. We were able to schedule it quickly and the deposit was reasonably priced. Came back in and he totally revolutionized my design and made it 500x better! At that point we talked about pricing and it was completely reasonable and even better than I thought it would be! We were able to get it done in one night and it was quicker than I thought it would be. Its now been about a week and the healing process has been great. I will definitely come back for some more tattoos in the future!

Such an amazing experience! The shop was so clean and organized, I texted about an hour before to see if they had any availability and they did. When I came in he already had a stencil for me. Was very efficient and made me feel safe. For this being my second tattoo I was very relaxed and it turned out great!

As a travel nurse I get the pleasure to see beautiful tattoos from all over the US. I saw one of my co-workers tattoos and KNEW I had to see this artist for an arm piece Ive been wanting for years! I held off until I could find the right artist. Well, I found her! Miranda is AMAZING! The attention to detail and fine line work is incredible! The ONLY issue I had was I spent more than I wanted to but it is a work of art and I do not regret spending as much as I did. The photos dont even do it justice! She captured the essence of my grandmothers espresso coffee maker and her demitesiant cup with the fine lettering. I will be back to do more work on this arm!

Sushil is a amazing artist and a great person to get to know! Very personable and welcomes you like youre his family. John is very helpful with setting up an appointment and making sure you feel welcomed as you take that first step through that door. Sushil as done many tattoos of mine and kills it every time! Amazing customer service and artwork. Nick was my tattoo artist and he really focused on making sure that i liked the design and placement. He was quick and had very fair prices. Although the other artists didnt tattoo me they still greeted me and made me feel comfortable. As someone with extreme social anxiety, this was a very relaxing environment. Also i was a walk in about 30 minutes after they opened and i was in the chair with paperwork and design decided on within 30 minutes which is a lot faster then i expected. And the tattoo only took about 40 minutes. They seem very organized and efficient.

I dont usually leave reviews but I cannot recommend this shop enough. Went in as a walk in and was in and out within the hour. Nick was my artist and was amazing. Only a few days into healing but pain is extremely minimal, the artist was definitely very gentle so no extreme discomfort during or after the tattoo and I paid a great price. Definitely worth stopping by!

This is my second time getting a tattoo from Born Again. Simon did my tattoo this time around. I wanted an exact copy of handwriting- and he did SUPER well! It looks like an exact copy. This tattoo is very special to me. Hes friendly and hes talented. Id highly suggest getting a tattoo from him.

In town for the weekend visiting with family and I wanted to get another tattoo while here. By eating lunch with a friend downtown Columbia we asked if anybody knew any good tattoo guys that they would recommend and everybody recommended Sashil Patel. Having the same guy I do the previous five tattoos on me I was skeptical and nervous to let someone else put ink on me. Sashil sketched up the name that I want it on my arm and made the script match the name on my opposite arm. We negotiated and agreed to a price and 10 minutes later I was sitting in the chair getting a tattoo. I highly recommend checking Born again tattoo out if youre in Columbia and youre looking for a great tattoo artist go see Sashil.

Went in on a Wednesday with a group for some small tattoos. Jon and Nick did a great job and were professional but laid back enough to make you feel comfortable. Pricing is reasonable and love our new pieces.

I got my tattoo done by the apprentice.. Jonathan I believe was his name. He did an awesome job.. And I couldnt be happier. The other guy there Sushil I believe was super cool n down to earth too. They fit me n my niece in.. Awesome atmosphere. I felt super comfortable and tattoo was done quickly as well as precisely. The music is nice to listen to as well. Good taste. I would recommend this place to say one who wants to get a tattoo in a comfortable, yet laid back and friendly place. The guys literally treated us like family. They made us feel good. And owner kept checking to make sure that we were happy and comfortable.

I’ve had tattoos done by Miranda, Jon, and Nick here. All of them are so comforting and casual, but still professional. They all make you feel better about your tattoos, and it’s genuinely like getting art done by a friend. I will ALWAYS recommend this place, as 9/12 of my tattoos were done by the staff here. I called in last weekend to see if I could get my second tattoo with them while I was in town. Sushil did my first tattoo two years ago and I absolutely love it. Jonathan worked on me this time and was Amazing! I wanted a small line tattoo and he did a fantastic job. Called and was gonna do a walk in appointment. Instead we set up and appointment over the phone super quick and the deposit was almost nothing. Got there for my appointment and the artist was so chill we talked about the design and what we could do with it. They will work with your budget to give you an incredible tattoo. One of the best experiences I’ve had at a tattoo shop! It was easy to get an appointment and put down a deposit over the phone. I looked at the shop’s instagram and all the portfolios of the artists that I could find and was impressed with everyone’s work to the point where I wasn’t worried who ended up doing my tattoo. I peeked at some of the other artists working while getting mine done and they all did great work from what I could see. I had a really weird idea but Jon executed it so well! The tattoo has healed very nicely and I’ve already gotten so many compliments on it within the one week of having it. I’m so pleased with the skill level of Jon and the other artists that I’m itching to get back in a chair for another piece!

I’ve gotten two tattoos from this shop and it has been a great experience both times. I’ve gotten one by the apprentice Jon and one yesterday by the owner Sushil. They both do amazing work and you won’t be disappointed. As this was my first tattoo experience, I was nervous about the process and aftercare of my tattoo. Called on a whim for a tattoo. With the shop being somewhat newly opened from Corona they were busy and weren’t taking walk-ins (same as other shops I called). I wanted something small and simple and they easily accommodated me that day with an appointment. I know they did me a favor by squeezing me in. Clean shop. Professional. Good location. I dig my new tat! I’ll be back when the urge for another one strikes.

Just got a simple parallelogram outline done by Jonathan at Born Again Tattoo and Im beyond pleased! Jonathan is so nice and took me seriously even though I was getting a very simple tattoo. The lines he did came out perfect. Ive seen some people with simple geometric tattoos and sometimes they just look off... I could not be happier with how this came out, and if I decide to fill in the parallelogram in the future, I definitely want it done by Jonathan! 10/10 would recommend

Completely unprofessional. Took a deposit on the phone and then later emailed me. In the email it said that no one was allowed to attend the appointment with me. I have NEVER heard of a tattoo shop mandating you be alone during a tattoo!! I communicated with the shop to cancel the appointment after reading this and was told that deposits are none refundable WHEN THIS “COVID” POLICY WAS NEVER DISCLOSED TO ME UNTIL AFTER THE DEPOSIT. Look elsewhere for your next tattoo!!

Its Saturday, I get it, but the artist at Born Again had us come in, knowing that most folks who want ink want it that day. The owner and workers treats you like family, and of course more importantly provides high quality tattoos that’ll blow your mind. The color and details alone are so impressive afterwards, that it definitely makes me want to keep coming back for more!

Sushil is a beast! The fastest tattooer yet cleanest line drawer and shader I’ve seen yet. Nice guy, in and out in 7 hours with two pieces done on whole front of left shin, and my forearm in one afternoon. I will be sending my buddies here and will probably be back myself! Thanks boss!

I went here for the first time on my birthday about a month and a half ago, so I could get something special for my uncle but I couldn’t decide so instead I got a tattoo special for my mom. When I tell you that Sushil is a beast at tattoos TRUST ME he is a beast haha. I decided last minute on what to get for my mom on my inner left arm and he made it happen and it turned out great! Made a same day appointment for a forearm piece. Sushil listened to what I said then drew exactly what I wanted onto my arm with a sharpie, and tattooed it from his drawing. It came out perfect, exactly what I wanted and he made it fit perfectly on the shape and flow of my arm. My fave tattoo, Ill be back.

Was hoping the shading would fade on my tattoo because it was very dark and the shading is on the wrong side so it is not 3D looking like I wanted. The shading is on top but a shade would be on the bottom if the sun were hitting the butterfly. Theres jagged lines and 2 spots on the wing that are completely missed and not black like the rest of the wing. The middle of the butterfly is very muddy looking. He pressured me to get it much bigger than I wanted so you cant see the entire tattoo unless I twist my arm to show you. It looked ok when fresh but just didnt heal the way I hoped even though I strictly followed instructions and the shading is the biggest concern. I called the artist saying I was upset about the shading and was fairly calm about it asking if we can put white on the shading to lighten it with highlights or do a watercolor on the sides to hide the shading.. He flipped out on me saying hes not a perfectionist and to go somewhere else then. I went to another tattoo shop and he agreed its not quality work and agreed the shading is not in the correct places and not matching or too dark in certain areas. The other tattoo shop wont even attempt to fix it and referred me to a tattoo removal place.... Not really sure what to do now because the tattoo looks nothing like what I asked for. Cant do a cover up unless I do tattoo removal.. The tattoo looks okay but doesnt make sense with the shading or how dark the shading is.. Anyone Ive showed it to raises a eyebrow looks at it confused and then tells me it looks ok but I know they are just being nice because its permanent.

The tattoo I received at this shop is by far the worst I have, and one of mine was hand poked in a friends bedroom. The lines are thick, wobbly, and horrifically uneven in many parts of the tattoo- to the point where I am embarrassed to have it on my body and am actively looking at getting it removed or seriously reworked by an artist I can actually trust. I have other tattoos and fully understand standard aftercare procedures, yet the tattoo process was so heavy handed that my skin was gouged deep into my arm. These deep gouges barely closed up, and the healing process for parts of the tattoo (2 inches long and only black line work) took over a month. The parts with the worst gouging are now blurry, inkless, or blown out. DO NOT go here if you have any respect for your body. Take your business elsewhere. I would give 0 stars if I could.

I went to this shop a few years ago and loved it. The owner had a positive attitude. But now its overcrowded with artist and last time I was there he seemed not interested in at all. The last tattoo I got there, the artist was relatively new and had a verry negative attitude. I will not be back

I drove almost an Hour and a half to make an appointment, I called 3 days prior to ask the price of a deposit and if I could come into the shop to make an appointment and they stated I could. When I arrived to the shop I was told that I had to text a number that they didn’t do appointments in the shop and was very rude about the situation, and stated that if I didn’t want to make the appointment that there was plenty more tattoo shops around,so I left and went to another shop with better service.

My Tattoo was much more awesome than i had expected.im so in love with it.Sushil was the bomb. If i wasnt going back to texas he would be my only tattoo artist/designer. My roommate got a tatoo and had a great experience. The lady who did her tatoo was super friendly and my roommate was very pleased with the outcome. She was a walk in.
